O Allah, 6:12 increase us in knowledge and grant us 6:14 understanding. O Allah, grant us deep 6:16 understanding of the religion and true 6:17 interpretation. Very well. Let us 6:19 listen to the knowledge that will be 6:21 presented by Ustaz Ahmad Saleh 6:23 regarding the prohibition of envy ( 6:25 hasad). Please proceed, Ustaz. Amma ba'd. Brothers 7:00 and sisters, listeners of Radio 7:02 Silaturahim, and viewers of Rasil 7:03 Visual wherever you are. Praise be to 7:08 God, on this occasion we are brought 7:11 together again, even if through 7:14 cyberspace, to learn, study, understand 7:17 , and provide input to one another, 7:20 right? Okay. Very well. To avoid a long 7:25 conversation, let us just begin. The 7:30 chapter on the prohibition of envy or 7:32 the prohibition of hasad. What is meant 7:36 by the prohibition of hasad is wishing 7:39 for the loss of religious or worldly 7:42 blessings from their possessor. That is 7:46 what is meant by hasad here. Because, 7:50 you know, there are types of hasad that 7:52 are permitted. So, we will discuss the 7:55 prohibition of hasad. What is the 7:58 prohibited hasad? Wishing for the loss 8:02 of religious and worldly blessings from 8:05 the one who has them. That is it. An 8:09 excerpt from Surah An-Nisa verse 54. Am 8:14 yahsudunanasa ala maahumullahu min 8:20 fadlih am. Do they, yahsuduna, commit 8:26 hasad? Do they feel envy and malice, 8:30 annasa, toward the people? The intended 8:33 meaning in this verse, although it 8:35 mentions "people" in a general sense. 8:39 But the intent is toward Prophet 8:41 Muhammad, peace be upon him. 8:45 >> Ala, over what? Maahumullahu, over what 8:49 Allah has given them. To whom? To the 8:54 followers of Prophet Muhammad, peace be 8:56 upon him. Min fadlihi, from the grace 9:00 of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. 9:03 So, they ended up being envious. Why 9:08 are they so united? They do not 9:11 distinguish between rich and poor. 9:13 People who are, what you call it, 9:15 hungry. Then they are immediately 9:17 helped. Masya Allah. This is proof. So 9:22 they then become even more envious. At 9:25 first, they hated because they 9:27 considered the religion a bid'ah ( 9:29 heresy). A religion of bid'ah. But then 9:33 seeing the followers of the Islamic 9:36 community becoming more intimate, more 9:38 helpful, and compassionate. Masya Allah 9:41 . See. This. Therefore, this is a note 9:47 that sometimes the brotherhood we build 9:52 >> invites the envy of the enemies of 9:55 Islam. 9:56 >> That happens sometimes. So, the enemies 10:00 say they are increasingly united even 10:03 though they are being provoked, and 10:06 instead of fighting, they love one 10:10 another. That is how it is. So we 10:14 should not, what you call it, fall into 10:17 the trap of slander and conflict, 10:19 especially regarding fiqh issues. It 10:24 does not result in the cracking of 10:26 brotherhood. That is the point, 10:29 especially regarding mere differences 10:31 in fiqh issues. Why? Because we should 10:35 not look for mistakes, as one can 10:38 simply be wrong, you know. But if it is 10:42 not a matter of creed, not a matter of 10:44 formal worship, not a mistake violating 10:47 the higher objectives of Sharia, then 10:49 let it be. It does not need to be 10:53 picked apart, right. Okay. Very well. 10:55 That is in Surah An-Nisa verse 54. One 10:59 hadith in this chapter is from Abu 11:02 Hurairah radhiallahu anhu, that the 11:05 Prophet shallallahu alaihi wasallam 11:09 said 11:12 >> Beware of envy, for envy consumes good 11:15 deeds just as fire consumes firewood, 11:25 narrated by Abu Dawud, and beware of 11:28 envy. For indeed, envy. Because truly, 11:36 envy consumes good deeds. Just as fire 11:45 consumes firewood. Is it consuming 11:52 grass or what? Consuming the grass, 11:55 referring to dry grass. So, we have 11:59 done many good deeds, collected them, 12:01 and then envy hits, and poof, they are 12:04 gone. Therefore, we must seek refuge in 12:08 Allah as previously stated. So we don't 12:12 just seek refuge from the envious 12:17 person and their envy. We even seek 12:22 refuge from the act of envy itself. See 12:26 . Like that, you know. Sometimes the 12:30 Quran mentions a part but implies the 12:33 whole thing, you see. Now, therefore, 12:37 we should always seek refuge in Allah. 12:42 uh, what do you call it? Pearls of 12:45 wisdom that we can see and dig from 12:47 this hadith. The prohibition of envy, 12:52 and it is a major sin because it can 12:55 eliminate good deeds and void them 12:58 quickly. Just as fire consumes firewood 13:03 and dry grass. Now, to know whether it 13:07 is a major sin or a minor sin to know 13:13 it, whether the deed is a major sin or 13:16 a minor sin, if it is threatened with 13:19 hell, if it is threatened with being 13:22 kept away from heaven. Ah, that 13:27 indicates, uh, what is it? A major sin. 13:33 >> A major sin. 13:34 >> If there is a threat of being kept away 13:36 from heaven and then a threat of being 13:38 cast into hell, including this one, 13:40 also threatened, uh, as mentioned 13:42 earlier, what? Fire consuming firewood. 13:48 >> That is truly terrifying. So the 13:50 scholars classify it as what do you 13:53 call it? Yes. what is it? Not just sins 13:57 , what is it? If it is sins, it is also 13:59 a sin, but what I mean is this 14:01 >> it means it is a major sin, okay. As 14:04 for minor sins, the act is condemned 14:07 but there is no threat. 14:09 >> No threat. 14:10 >> No threat of hell. No threat of being 14:13 kept away from heaven. So that is 14:15 categorized as a minor sin. But be 14:19 careful, minor sins, if they pile up, 14:22 become a major sin. That's how it is. 14:27 Fabric is a collection of threads. 14:31 Don't forget, it can be called a 14:34 beautiful cloth or a bad cloth, it 14:36 consists of threads. We might take 14:40 minor sins lightly. But if those minor 14:43 sins are woven together, they can 14:46 become a major sin. May Allah protect 14:48 us from that. Now, therefore, uh, what 14:52 is it? we should always pray to Allah, 14:56 seek refuge in Allah, to be kept away 15:00 from envy, kept away from the envious. 15:05 Yes, kept away from envy, from the act, 15:08 and also kept away from those who 15:10 practice envy, right? Okay. Good. That 15:13 was about what? This is just one hadith 15:15 , that is the chapter on the 15:16 prohibition of envy. Let us proceed to 15:20 the chapter on the prohibition of 15:22 spying on others' faults and 15:23 eavesdropping on others 'secrets. In a 15:29 part of Surah Al-Hujurat verse 12, 15:31 which is quite, well, you could say 15:34 quite long, there is the phrase "wala 15:36 tajassasu""wala yagtab ba'dukum ba'd". 15:42 There it says "wala tajassasu", and do 15:45 not spy on or seek out the faults of 15:47 others. See, you are not allowed to 15:51 search for other people's faults, to 15:52 peek at other people's mistakes, like 15:54 that. In fact, if you can, just 15:57 remember their good qualities. Because 16:01 it is indeed forbidden to peek at 16:03 faults like that. This is what you call 16:06 ? Clear guidance in Quran Surah 16:08 Al-Hujurat verse 12. 16:11 >> So, the principle is that we consider 16:14 everyone to be good. In principle, we 16:17 adopt the presumption of innocence. 16:20 Other people have no faults, have no 16:23 sins, you know. Unless it becomes 16:26 obvious. Uh, their sinful deeds, their 16:30 oppression is clear, only then, like 16:33 that. MashaAllah. Okay. Alright. Then, 16:37 a hadith that is quite long, but it's 16:39 okay, let's try it slowly, yeah. An Abi 16:42 Hurairah radhiallahu anhu anna 16:45 Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam 16:49 qiam 16:50 >> iyakum w if before it was iyakum wal 16:54 hasad. Now it is beware of prejudice, 17:03 for prejudice is the most untruthful of 17:06 speech. Because truly, prejudice is the 17:12 most lying of speech, you know. 17:16 Prejudice, that is. MashaAllah. Wait, 17:18 doesn't the Quran say "inna 17:20 ba'daz-zanni ithm"? In the Quran, some 17:24 prejudice is 17:26 >> a sin. 17:27 >> A sin. 17:28 >> Yes. 17:29 >> Which means some other parts are not 17:31 sins. But the hadith says, even if it 17:34 is not a sin, avoid prejudice. Now, 17:38 what is the difference between 17:40 prejudice and being alert? Someone 17:46 comes and we are already suspicious. 17:51 Already suspicious here. Is suspicion 17:53 being alert or prejudice? Well, like 17:56 that. So that is prejudice that is 17:59 permitted 18:00 >> you know. As long as it's not spoken 18:03 out loud, it still falls into the 18:05 category of being alert. 18:07 >> Being alert is allowed. 18:08 >> Well, being alert, yes, obviously you 18:10 must remain alert, it's allowed. But if 18:13 it's already publicized, "be careful of 18:15 him," even though it's not proven. Ah, 18:17 that has become*zann*, it has become a 18:20 feeling, you know. Okay. Hm. Ah, 18:32 tahassasu. Do not go around searching. 18:36 Ah, then wala tajassasu. And do not 18:40 look for faults. Tahassasu means 18:43 searching around, which is guessing. 18:46 Wow, "what if he dresses like this,"" 18:48 what if he's like this." Ah, like that. 18:51 Once again, that "what if" is okay if 18:54 it's still kept in the, in the heart, 18:57 you know. Then, show that alertness by 19:02 still prioritizing what is called* 19:05 iqramud-daif*, by prioritizing honoring 19:09 the guest. 19:12 >> Well, but it's okay to keep prejudice 19:15 in the heart, right, to remain alert. 19:20 Hm. Wala tanafasu, wala tahasadu, wala 19:25 tabagodu. Well, like that. Do not, what 19:30 ? Uh, do not argue with each other, do 19:34 not envy each other. Tahasadu. Do not 19:37 envy each other, do not hate each other 19:40 . Wala tabagodu. Do not hate each other 19:44 , do not be angry with each other. Well 19:47 , like that. You may be angry, but it 19:49 must not be for more than 19:52 >> 3 days, like that. The point is, it's 19:54 not allowed, like that. The point is, 19:56 it's not allowed. Hm. Bud, give them 3 19:59 days, grant a grace period of 3 days. 20:03 Wala tadaabaru. Do not turn your backs 20:06 on each other, okay. Turning your backs 20:10 means don't ignore each other. Well, 20:13 tadaabaru means to be indifferent to 20:15 one another. Do not, uh, what is it, 20:18 turn away. Waquunu ibadallahi ikhwana. 20:22 So become servants of Allah who are 20:25 brothers. Multiply the similarities. 20:29 Because the origin of the word ikhwana, 20:31 or brothers, is due to the existence of 20:34 similarities, so they are called 20:37 brothers. I am a brother to my younger 20:40 sibling because there is a similarity. 20:42 What is the similarity? We were both 20:44 carried by my biological mother. Yes. 20:49 >> The devil and us both squander wealth. 20:55 >> Well, someone who squanders wealth is 20:58 called a brother of the devil because 21:00 they share the devil's nature. Hmm. See 21:06 . That the brothers of the devil are so 21:10 because they share traits with the 21:12 devil. So, the concept of increasing 21:16 similarities and minimizing differences 21:19 becomes a goal, a step that is very, 21:21 what? Very, uh, expected. It is 21:26 impossible for us to be all the same. 21:28 Impossible. Because each of us has 21:32 different needs, different backgrounds, 21:35 and different habits. So, clearly, 21:39 multiply the similarities, waquunu 21:43 ibadallahi ikhwana. And become brothers 21:48 , be servants of Allah who are brothers 21:52 . Kama amarokum as He has commanded you 21:56 , namely Allah subhanahu wa taala. Al 22:00 muslimu akhul muslim, says the Prophet. 22:03 A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim 22:06 . Ah, a brother to another Muslim. Yes, 22:09 one Muslim has many similarities with 22:12 another Muslim. Because "brother" is 22:15 because of a similarity. 22:16 >> Similarity. 22:18 >> So one Muslim becomes a brother to the 22:20 other. Because of the many similarities 22:25 , la tazlimuhu, do not oppress them, 22:29 wala yakhdzuluhu, right? Eh, what is it 22:33 called? Eh, what is it, don't persecute 22:41 , uh, what was it again? Wala, where 22:45 was it? Wala yakhdzuluhu wa yahqiruhu. 22:50 Do not insult them, like that. Then do 22:54 not mock them. Yahqiruhu, to belittle. 22:59 Yahqiruhu, to mock. Attaqwa hahuna, 23:04 piety is here, uh, what is it called, 23:07 attaqwa hahuna, the Prophet said, 23:09 attaqwa hahuna, while pointing to the 23:12 chest, wa yushiru ila shodrihi, 23:15 pointing to shodri, which is the chest. 23:19 >> Chest. 23:20 >> His chest, ah, piety is here, so piety 23:23 is not on the tong—not here. 23:25 >> On the tongue. 23:26 >> Yes, not on the tongue, oh, I am a 23:28 pious person, but the heart is, oh, 23:30 resentful, envious, jealous, that is 23:33 different, right. Okay. Bihasbi imriin 23:37 minasyarri an yahqira akhul muslim. It 23:43 is enough for a person to be considered 23:45 evil if they mock their Muslim brother. 23:49 Now, kullul muslimi alal muslim haram. 23:52 Every Muslim toward another Muslim is 23:54 sacred. What is? Damuhu, their blood. 23:57 Wa' irdhu hum, their honor, wa maluhu. 24:03 Eh, if it's damuhu, then it's not "malu 24:06 ". What is maluhu? Ma- 24:09 >> Their wealth. Innallaha la yanzhuru ila 24:11 ajsadikum. Indeed, Allah does not look 24:16 at your bodies. Wala ila suwarikum, and 24:20 also does not look at your forms. 24:24 Whether you are handsome or not, tall 24:26 or short, it is not looked at by Allah. 24:31 E, wala ila suwarikum. Suwar is form, 24:35 wa a'malikum and your deeds. Walakin 24:38 ila qulubikum. But Allah pays attention 24:43 to your hearts. Originally, in another 24:46 narration, it says 'laa yanzhuru ilaa 24:48 a'maalikum wa amwaalikum walakin 24:50 yanzhuru ilaa quluubikum wa a'maalikum. 24:52 ' But these deeds are among those not 24:55 paid attention to. What is meant is 24:57 that the deeds themselves have no 24:59 influence. Whether the deed is 25:03 categorized as good or not, originally 25:05 it has no effect if the heart is not 25:07 sincere, you see. That is why it is the 25:09 hearts that are paid attention to. Okay 25:11 . In 'wa fi riwayatin' and in another 25:14 narration, 'laa tahaasadu walaa 25:16 tabaaghadu.' Do not envy one another, 25:20 do not hate one another. 'Walaa 25:22 tajassasu.' Do not spy on one another's 25:25 faults. 'Walaa tahassasu.' And do not, 25:28 what was it called again? Spying around 25:34 . 'Tahassasu' is spying around, and ' 25:36 walaa tanaajasu.''Tanaajasu' means 25:39 gossiping about bad things. 'Wa kuunuu' 25:41 ibaadallahi ikhwaana. 'So, be servants 25:44 of Allah who are brothers.' Wa fi 25:47 riwayatin. 'In another narration,' 25:49 taqatha'u. 'Do not cut ties with one 25:52 another.' Walaa tadaabaru. 'Do not turn 25:55 your backs on one another.' Walaa 25:57 tabaaghadu. 'Do not hate one another. 25:59 Do not be angry with one another.' 26:00 Walaa tahaasadu. 'And do not envy one 26:03 another.' Wa kuunuu 'ibaadallahi 26:06 ikhwaana,' and in a narration, 'laa 26:08 tahaajaru walaa ya bi' ba'dukum 'ala.'' 26:14 Ba'di.' Now, what is that called? It is 26:17 not allowed to bid on items to 26:21 undermine others. And do not let some 26:25 of you sell merchandise with the 26:27 intention of bringing down others. 26:29 Unfair competition is not allowed. Yes, 26:33 if for example the price is 100, then 26:35 just 100. Do not lower our own prices 26:39 to bring down others. 26:42 >> Now, sometimes that is used as a market 26:45 , right? Marketing strategy. Now, in 26:49 the Islamic community, the one who sets 26:52 price standards is the government (' 26:54 umaro'). The market price, that is the 26:58 'umaro' initially, you see. 27:00 >> The government. 27:01 >> Ah, the government, so it becomes 27:04 uniform. Ah, but then later it is 27:07 divided again, there are other views. 27:09 It is uniform if it is within one 27:12 region. If the region is different, the 27:14 price can be different. Because the 27:17 conditions are already 27:18 >> different, you see. Okay. Good. Now, 27:22 this is 'rawahu Muslim' in all these 27:24 narrations and 'Bukhari' in others. So, 27:30 the Bukhari narration is the most 27:32 extensive. Now, then what can we 27:35 extract from the pearls of the first 27:38 hadith earlier? First, the command to 27:43 protect the honor of Muslims. Do not be 27:46 suspicious of them and do not 27:48 investigate their faults. One, the 27:51 command to maintain Islamic brotherhood 27:54 , to maintain its practical demands, 27:57 which are not to oppress, not to 27:59 neglect without help, not to insult, 28:02 and not to be arrogant. Now, this 28:07 hadith also explains the sanctity of 28:09 the blood, property, and honor of 28:11 fellow Muslims. So, we steal from what? 28:18 Stealing from a Muslim is not allowed. 28:22 It is clearly forbidden to steal. But 28:25 then, stealing because of hunger, for 28:28 example. Now, this becomes what? The 28:31 issue is open to interpretation, you 28:33 see. Therefore, the law of cutting off 28:35 hands during the time of the Prophet 28:37 was once not implemented. Just as the 28:40 law of cutting off hands was not, er, 28:42 not that it was never implemented, but 28:44 it was not implemented during the time 28:46 of Umar because of the secret of the 28:47 Sharia. The secret of the Sharia or the 28:52 'illat'(legal cause) was not fulfilled. 28:54 Because it was not fulfilled due to 28:57 hunger, you see. So, truly, Islam is 29:01 just. Corruptors are already wealthy. A 29:07 poor person stealing a chicken, forgive 29:10 them, they should be. 29:11 >> Yes. 29:12 >> Forgiven like that. 29:14 >> Meaning, processed through the law 29:16 properly. Now, if it's a corruptor, the 29:19 death penalty is fine for a corruptor. 29:23 If the corruptor is someone who is 29:24 already well-off. Imagine, already 29:29 well-off but still stealing. Whereas 29:32 this one is a basic necessity, it's 29:34 understandable. Now, that’s the 29:35 analysis, right. Therefore, even so, it 29:39 is not encouraged for the poor to steal 29:43 either. Therefore, that issue must be 29:48 solved by Islam. It starts like this, 29:54 it is haram for poor people to exist in 29:57 the Muslim community. Haram for whom? 30:01 For those around them. There is a poor 30:05 household, lacking food. That is the 30:08 responsibility of all the Muslims 30:10 around them. Oh, I see. There is a 30:14 child who has a father and a mother, 30:17 but isn't sent to school by them 30:19 because of their wealth. That is 30:22 categorized as an orphan. 30:25 >> Oh, they have parents but they aren't 30:26 there. 30:26 >> Ah, yes, this is interesting, right? 30:28 They have parents but aren't protected. 30:32 >> They are called orphans, considered 30:33 orphans. 30:34 >> They have parents but aren't sent to 30:36 school. They have parents but aren't 30:40 fed. So Islam has the obligation to 30:45 include them in the category of orphans 30:49 . But they still have a father. Yes. 30:54 What is the point of having a father? 30:56 Does he provide food? Does he provide 30:58 education? So one could say*wujuduhu 31:03 kaadamihi*, their father's existence is 31:05 the same as his non-existence. Now, it 31:09 is Islam that must step in to solve 31:12 such problems. Therefore, right in the 31:17 time of Umar bin Khattab, there were 31:19 beggars. Umar immediately asked, "Which 31:22 religion are you from?" He didn't ask, 31:25 "Why aren't you?" Because under God's 31:29 leadership, there shouldn't be any poor 31:31 people. Under Islamic leadership, there 31:34 shouldn't be any poor Muslims. If there 31:36 is a famine, everyone must suffer the 31:38 famine together. No one should be 31:40 starving, no one should be overly full. 31:43 Everything, *mashaAllah*, is equal in 31:46 the sense that it is appropriate to 31:49 their capabilities. But if it reaches 31:52 the point where they are poor, to the 31:55 point of what? Then they truly cannot 31:59 eat. While their neighbor is eating 32:01 until they are full. Then the one who 32:03 is full is committing a sin. Now, the 32:07 Prophet reminded us truly. Don't let us 32:10 have a neighbor who cannot 32:12 >> eat. 32:13 >> Cannot eat. That's why I say, in our 32:16 place, if there is a youth who should 32:19 be married but isn't, that's haram. It 32:23 is prohibited. Who is prohibited? But 32:25 he is not capable. Yes, clearly he is 32:28 not capable. The ones prohibited are 32:30 the capable ones, his brothers, his 32:35 wealthy Muslim brethren. They are the 32:39 ones responsible for his marriage. But 32:41 that hasn't been realized yet. Because 32:45 Zakat, infaq, and sadaqah are still 32:47 scattered, each acting individually 32:50 without cooperating. It should be 32:52 centralized, working together, and 32:54 mutually supporting. Ustaz, so the 32:56 wealth of the Muslim community can be 32:59 one tool for improvement. Right now, 33:02 it's still partial, *juz'iyah*. 33:06 >> uh, they don't even know each other. 33:09 >> Yes. 33:10 >> So, in the future, we can no longer 33:12 >> work alone. 33:13 >> So, mosques should at least, for 33:15 example, if there are five mosques in 33:17 one neighborhood, cooperate; it’s 33:19 fine. Okay, you each have your own 33:22 programs, 33:23 >> you know. But if you ask, for instance, 33:26 "Excuse me, Mr., is there any 33:29 spare cash?""I have a neighbor who was 33:32 laid off and hasn't had a job for 5 33:34 months." It's a pity; let alone eating, 33:39 my goodness, they have gone days 33:41 without eating because they have 33:43 nothing. Well, "Oh, I have some extra 33:47 here." We can cooperate in 33:50 righteousness and piety. But I think 33:53 this concept needs to be deepened. The 33:57 point is cooperation among Muslims. 34:01 >> So, Palestine wouldn't be suffering 34:04 alone if the Muslim community...Well, 34:07 once again, we must unite. So that one 34:12 doesn't gorge themselves on fancy food, 34:16 while Palestine, especially the 34:18 children in Gaza, are starving. That is 34:21 , oh my goodness, it doesn't make sense 34:24 for the Sharia of Prophet Muhammad to 34:27 be like this. It’s not the Sharia of 34:29 Prophet Muhammad. How can the followers 34:31 of Prophet Muhammad be like this? 34:32 Because the Sharia is clear. You see, 34:36 we are allowed, neighbors can be near 34:39 or far. "Ah, that's not my neighbor, 34:42 they are many kilometers away from me." 34:46 Yes, I know we are far away. At the 34:50 very least, remind those who are close 34:51 by. If not, I also want to help, but 34:54 it's hard to get through. It gets 34:56 blocked when trying to get it through. 34:59 So, there are efforts we can make, even 35:02 though there is slander saying our aid 35:05 doesn't arrive. Oh, see? Then it was 35:10 refuted by brother Farid, right, by 35:13 brother Farid. "Your aid arrived, 35:15 ladies and gentlemen, here is the proof 35:17 ," you know. It's just that for some, 35:21 sir, the food aid has arrived late, 35:24 that's all. Okay. Alright. I think this 35:28 is our homework, how to build a network 35:31 link. That network, both in terms of 35:36 economy, fiqh, and other legal aspects. 35:41 Uh, that's it. So there must be a 35:43 mutual connection between one mosque 35:46 and another. If we, as leadership 35:50 branches, connect with other branches, 35:52 other areas, it will strengthen one 35:54 another. Supporting each other, that's 35:58 it. Okay. Alright. Now, then, uh, the 36:05 prohibition of bidding on goods at a 36:07 higher price with the intention of 36:08 harming others. Kama qultu lakum. As I 36:12 said earlier, the benchmark is the 36:14 essence of the matter, not the surface. 36:17 Now, this is interesting. We will study 36:19 this more deeply later. Then the 36:22 prohibition of selling over a sale, 36:25 similar to an auction, because it leads 36:27 to resentment and mutual hatred. So on 36:31 one hand, there is a Sunnah for 36:35 auctions, but on the other hand, 36:38 auctions are also, uh, very, what do 36:43 you call it, very conditional. Okay. 36:47 Alright. Then the responsibility of a 36:50 Muslim towards other Muslims and an 36:52 explanation of the straight, rightful 36:55 path toward the glory and strength of 36:58 Islam and the Muslim ummah. So, I would 37:02 like to quote what Ustaz Sayyid Qutb 37:05 said. Two strengths that must be 37:10 possessed by the Muslim ummah if they 37:11 want to succeed. If we do not have 37:15 these two strengths, if one of them is 37:18 lost, then we will not succeed. 37:22 Wujuduna ka adamina. Our existence is 37:25 the same as our non-existence. What did 37:28 Ustaz Sayyid Qutb say? The first is the 37:31 strength of creed (aqidah). Strong 37:35 creed is great, yes. But if you can't 37:38 do anything, it stays the same. Even 37:40 with a strong creed, if there is no 37:42 congregation, no brotherhood (ukhuwwah) 37:44 . The congregation is good, the 37:46 brotherhood is good, but the creed is 37:48 fragile. It is the same. Therefore, 37:51 these two strengths—the strength of 37:54 creed and the strength of the 37:55 congregation or brotherhood—are very 37:58 necessary. So, I think this, brothers 38:03 and sisters, listeners of Radio 38:04 Silaturahim, viewers of Rasil TV 38:06 wherever you are, serves as an 38:08 introduction to our study. Thus, may 38:11 Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad. And 38:15 Allah knows best. And Allah knows best. 38:20 Jazakumullah khairan kairan, Ustaz. 38:22 Thus, what has been conveyed by Ustaz 38:24 Ahmad Saleh regarding two hadiths. The 38:27 first is the prohibition of envy (hasad 38:29 ). The second is the prohibition of 38:32 searching for others 'faults and 38:33 listening to their secrets. 38:36 >> Alright, brothers. We have heard many 38:38 prohibitions conveyed by the hadith 38:41 regarding those matters. Then, most 38:44 importantly, as conveyed by our Ustaz, 38:47 Ustaz Sayyid Qutb, Ustaz. Yes. 38:50 >> The great strength is creed and 38:52 brotherhood. 38:52 >> Yes. And we have a lot of homework to 38:56 do, apparently, to unite. 38:58 >> So that there are no...... 39:01 >> among our people, no poor brothers, no 39:04 orphans. Alright, brothers and sisters, 39:08 please feel free to send your questions 39:10 and your grievances regarding......the 39:15 prohibition of envy, and send your 39:18 questions via Rasil WhatsApp at 39:20 0811999720. We will be right back after 39:25 a short break. Thank you. 43:17 Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin. Thank you 43:18 , brothers and sisters, for still being 43:20 with Radio Silaturahim. Right now, you 43:23 are watching the live afternoon lecture 43:25 with Ustaz Ahmad Saleh on the theme of 43:27 the prohibition of envy. Alhamdulillah, 43:32 Ustaz Ahmad Saleh has conveyed two 43:34 hadiths that have been discussed. 43:36 Insyaallah, we will gain knowledge from 43:37 it. Now we invite brothers and sisters 43:40 to convey their questions. First, we 43:44 will greet the listeners. The first is 43:49 from Mr. Rama Mitra. In Tangerang. 43:52 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 43:53 wabarakatuh, Ustaz. 43:54 >> Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 43:57 wabarakatuh. 43:58 >> Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Ustaz. 44:00 Alhamdulillah, we are here listening to 44:02 Ustaz Ahmad Saleh's afternoon lecture. 44:04 >> Barakallahu fikum. 44:07 >> Then there is Mrs. Ani Hani Hudaifah. 44:12 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Ustaz. 44:13 Alhamdulillah, we are here listening to 44:15 the afternoon lecture on the radio. 44:18 Insyaallah, Ustaz Ahmad Saleh and the 44:19 Rasil team are healthy. Barakallahu 44:23 fikum. 44:24 >> Then there is Mr. Arwin. 44:27 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ustaz, thank 44:29 you for the lecture, advice, and 44:31 enlightenment. May the Ustaz, the 44:34 fighters of dakwah, and Rasil listeners 44:36 always be in good health and under the 44:38 protection of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 44:39 . 44:41 >> Amin. Barakallahu fikum. 44:45 >> Then Ibu Reto also, alhamdulillah, is 44:47 present listening, Ustaz. Thank you for 44:49 the tausiyah. Barakallahu fik. 44:53 >> Next, there is a question; let us read 44:55 the first question from Mr. Rohili. 44:58 Naam. 44:59 >> Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 45:00 and blessings, Ustaz. 45:01 >> And peace be upon you, and Allah's 45:03 mercy and blessings. 45:06 >> Ustaz, may I ask a question? What if 45:08 someone dislikes their neighbor who is 45:11 living better than them? Is this 45:15 considered a major sin, Ustaz? 45:17 Jazakumullah khairan kair. Naam. So, if 45:21 we hate because they are more 45:23 successful, which then drives us to 45:26 envy, and we hope their wealth 45:29 disappears, and then we strive to make 45:32 the wealth they possess disappear. Now, 45:37 that is a major sin. That is why the 45:40 scholars gave a warning, gave what? A 45:45 yellow light turning to red. So it is 45:49 classified as a major sin. Because 45:52 initially, one is just unhappy, asking, 45:55 "Where did they get their sustenance?" 46:00 That is how it starts. But then one 46:04 desires for the blessings Allah gave to 46:07 that neighbor to disappear. If it 46:13 doesn't disappear, one eventually tries 46:16 to make that wealth disappear. Now, 46:20 that is what then becomes...what? It 46:23 gapes wider, the desire grows for the 46:27 blessings Allah gave to be taken away. 46:32 So that falls into a major sin. 46:36 Therefore, we should be careful. We 46:40 should be grateful; being grateful 46:43 versus being envious is truly one 46:45 attitude that is harmful and one that 46:48 is beneficial. "Alhamdulillah, Eceu ( 46:52 sister) bought a sofa.""Hopefully, I 46:55 can sit there too, Ceu.""Oh, yes."" 46:59 Alhamdulillah.""Yes, Ceu, please just 47:01 come to my house." Let us often have 47:05 discussions or chat rather than looking 47:09 at people who bought a sofa or a nice 47:13 chair and being suspicious. "Where did 47:17 they get their wealth?" Must they be 47:20 told where their wealth comes from? "Oh 47:22 , I got wealth from this and that." 47:24 Does it have to be like that? Just pray 47:28 for them: "O Allah, bless the lady who 47:31 bought the sofa.""Hopefully it is a 47:35 blessing, adds goodness, and adds 47:37 benefits." After all, if there is an 47:39 event, if I have an event, I might be 47:41 able to borrow the sofa. That is how we 47:44 should be, right? Those who hate and 47:48 want it to disappear. When there is an 47:52 event, we borrow their sofa. That is 47:56 not right. So, once again, we should be 48:00 happy when our brothers and sisters 48:03 receive a blessing, whether they are 48:06 siblings or not, we should be happy for 48:09 them. Hm. May Allah bless them. May the 48:15 benefits be increased, and may the 48:17 goodness be increased. That is what I 48:20 can answer. Wallahu a'lam bishawab. 48:25 >> Wallahu a'lam bishawab. That is the 48:27 answer for Mr. Rohili; hopefully, it 48:29 clarifies things. Next is the second 48:32 question from Mr. Gunawan. Ustaz. 48:35 >> Naam. 48:36 >> Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 48:37 and blessings, Ustaz. 48:39 >> And peace be upon you, and Allah's 48:40 mercy and blessings. 48:43 >> Thank you, Ustaz, for the tausiyah. 48:46 Ustaz, may I ask a question? We are 48:48 people who are well-off but are not 48:51 able to help orphans. How do we inform 48:55 the wealthy and the capable to help the 49:00 orphans? And how do we inform a mosque 49:06 that either doesn't know or hasn't 49:09 applied their zakat distribution to the 49:13 right people? Specifically for orphans, 49:17 Ustaz. Jazakumullahu khairan. 49:18 >> Yes. Yes. First, we must find the root 49:21 of the problem. Perhaps the mosque 49:23 truly doesn't have the funds. They have 49:26 distributed it, but the orphans haven't 49:28 received any. Maybe the issue is that 49:31 there are many poor and destitute 49:32 people there. Well, if that is met, 49:36 suggest that this is an obligation that 49:39 needs attention. Zakat is intended for 49:43 eight groups of people. Mention that, 49:47 is it in Surah At-Tawbah? Verse 60, 49:51 perhaps? At-Tawbah 60, if I'm not 49:53 mistaken. So, convey that. 49:56 >> This is what must be paid attention to. 49:58 This must be looked into. If they 50:00 respond, "Oh, thank you for the input, 50:02 sir.""We will discuss it and deliberate 50:05 on it." Because the mosque committee 50:07 might say, "We have so many poor people 50:09 here, masha Allah." But there are also 50:13 mosque committees confused about where 50:14 to distribute their abundant funds 50:16 because everyone around them is wealthy 50:18 . 50:21 >> Well, usually they have something like 50:24 a safari, maybe a Ramadan safari or a 50:27 dakwah safari. Oh, they could use this 50:31 to provide aid to other mosques or 50:33 musalas. Yes. 50:36 >> If the water facilities aren't working 50:39 or the electricity is faulty, they can 50:43 fund it so that a dilapidated musala 50:45 becomes clean and attracts many 50:48 worshipers. Yes, that is one way. Then, 50:52 the most important thing is food. The 50:54 issue of food and drink. For the poor 50:57 and destitute, look after the orphans 50:59 first by providing them food. Do not 51:03 prioritize building mosques or musalas 51:05 if there are still people around who 51:07 cannot eat or drink. Hmm. 51:10 >> Yes. So, after their food and drink 51:14 needs are met, also look out for those 51:17 without jobs so they can get work to 51:20 earn money for food and drink. Only 51:24 then think about physical construction. 51:28 Yes, the physical building. Before 51:31 building physical structures, those 51:34 social issues should ideally be 51:36 resolved first. 51:38 >> Prioritize them. Correct. Yes. Now, 51:41 because in daily life we often don't 51:45 see social problems—usually in 51:49 wealthy housing complexes, people are 51:53 confused. So, they end up just 51:57 improving the building. And for those 52:01 of us in the villages, it's the same, 52:02 we end up improving what? The building. 52:05 Even though there are still people 52:07 starving there, 52:08 >> there are still people who cannot eat, 52:11 no. You could say that if everyone eats 52:14 three times a day, that's already great 52:16 . This is not even about three times a 52:21 day; even once every three days is hard 52:24 . Once every three days. 52:26 >> Yes, even once every three days is 52:27 difficult. So, that must be prioritized 52:30 , right? Okay. Therefore, I think 52:34 social issues must always be paid 52:39 attention to. So, just convey your 52:42 input to the mosque committee (DKM), 52:43 Sir. Well, I don't know the exact 52:46 situation of the DKM. But if, for 52:49 example, the DKM, what should I call it 52:51 ? Has millions in cash while many 52:54 problems remain unaddressed. Provide 52:57 input, say there are poor people in RT 53:01 11, here is the data, or for more 53:03 details, ask the head of the RT. So, 53:07 there is initial information delivered 53:10 to where? To the DKM. If the DKM does 53:14 not follow up, you are no longer 53:16 responsible, Sir. It means at least in 53:20 that matter you are free, but it must 53:23 still be communicated continuously, 53:26 right. Okay. So I think, Sir, first, 53:29 help them with prayer. Don't forget 53:34 that. Help with prayer. Second, help 53:38 with data, yes. That's the data. Then, 53:43 if the DKM's cash is still there, find 53:46 donors elsewhere. If you have links or 53:51 donors, give them. So there are many 53:54 ways we can do to, what you call it, to 53:58 solve social problems. That is what I 54:01 can answer. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab. 54:06 >> Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab. Thus, Mr. 54:10 Gunawan, hopefully that answers it. 54:14 Next, a question from Mrs. Iim in 54:21 Pondok Gede. Peace be upon you, and 54:23 Allah's mercy and blessings, Ustaz. 54:24 >> And peace be upon you, and Allah's 54:26 mercy and blessings. 54:28 >> Ustaz, please enlighten me. What is the 54:32 ruling if my own sibling, my younger 54:36 sibling, wrote on WA to me as of today? 54:41 Not to know or acknowledge me and my 54:44 children as family anymore. The problem 54:48 is my younger sibling always slanders 54:51 and insults me, but I never respond to 54:53 it, Ustaz. What should I do, Ustaz? 54:55 >> Yes. The step that must be taken is 54:59 first, silaturahmi (maintaining ties). 55:02 Now, that is exactly where the need for 55:04 silaturahmi lies. 55:06 >> So, silaturahmi is not returning a 55:08 visit. But when the other party, a 55:12 younger or older sibling, cuts us off, 55:14 we reconnect. See, yes. So it is not " 55:20 laisal muwasil," it is not maintaining 55:23 ties if it is just returning a visit. 55:27 But "mewasil" silaturahmi, that is 55:31 maintaining ties, is to keep the 55:34 brotherhood when others cut the 55:37 relationship. Oh, so that is the 55:39 function of silaturahmi now? 55:40 >> That is silaturahmi. 55:43 >> So "silah" means gathering those who 55:45 are scattered and connecting those who 55:47 are broken. Whereas if for us there is 55:52 nothing broken, that is just returning 55:54 a visit. 55:55 >> Still connected, right? 55:57 >> Yes. But here, it is they who are 55:58 cutting it off. Since your sibling cut 56:01 it off, don't worry about it, just 56:04 reconnect. If we have the means, bring 56:08 something for our sibling. They speak 56:11 badly, well, we just face it with 56:13 kindness. So that later they will 56:16 regret it themselves. Yes, so and don't 56:20 forget to pray too, especially for our 56:22 own sibling. "Oh Allah, give guidance 56:25 to my sibling."" 56:28 >> They have misunderstood me." Yes. " 56:32 Grant them guidance, oh Allah.""Open 56:33 their heart." Because truly, the one 56:38 who turns, opens, and closes hearts is 56:40 only You. See, like that, yes. So, 56:46 therefore, this is indeed a high-level 56:48 test of patience. 56:51 >> It should not be repaid in kind. Now, 56:55 what must we do? Yield to win, you know 56:58 . No, just yield, let us be the ones to 57:00 yield. Do not, do not what? Do not be 57:03 confrontational; even if they have, we 57:06 should, if necessary, with our spouse, 57:09 our children, our wives, go visit them, 57:12 bring something, whether they accept it 57:16 or not, it doesn't matter, just bring 57:19 it. Just say, "I don't need anything, I 57:22 just miss you all." So, don't bring up 57:27 things like, "You've been like this to 57:30 me," no need for that. 57:33 >> Just convey your feelings first. Oh, I 57:35 really miss you all. How are you doing? 57:39 If they say "good," for instance, just 57:42 accept it, that's fine. Don't take it 57:45 to heart, you know. Now, if you can go 57:49 through our siblings, their husbands, 57:51 their wives, or their children. 57:54 MasyaAllah. Come here, child. 57:56 MasyaAllah. Auntie misses you. How is 57:59 school? Keep engaging in conversation. 58:02 Even if the father isn't happy because 58:05 he said he wanted to cut ties, 58:07 >> but keep reaching out, you see. Because 58:11 Islam was sent, because Islam came to 58:14 connect what was severed, to gather 58:17 what was scattered. 58:19 >> Correct. Yes, that is all I can explain 58:22 . Wallahu a'lam bissawab. 58:27 >> Wallahu a'lam bissawab. That is all, 58:29 Ibu Imab. Next, the third question 58:33 comes from Ibu Ania Henti. Ustaz, peace 58:36 be upon you and Allah's mercy and 58:38 blessings. 58:39 >> And peace be upon you and Allah's mercy 58:41 and blessings. 58:44 >> Ustaz, there is a mosque in my area. 58:47 Every night after the Isha prayer, the 58:49 mosque is locked. I see. 58:52 >> After Subuh it's locked, after Asar 58:54 around 4:00 it's already locked, and 58:57 opened when it's almost Maghrib. 58:59 >> I see. 59:00 >> Someone asked, they said the children 59:03 were running around, even a child who 59:05 wanted to study wasn't allowed by the 59:08 caretaker. Is it supposed to be like 59:11 that or 59:12 >> what, Ustaz? Please give us some 59:14 insight, Ustaz. Yes, masyaAllah. This 59:16 is interesting, a very interesting 59:19 issue in society. So if it really 59:23 endangers the mosque, meaning fatal 59:26 damage will occur. If it is not locked, 59:32 then lock it. But the children can't 59:35 pray. Since the children arrive late, 59:39 tell them to pray on the porch. I see. 59:42 >> It shouldn't be a problem. Praying on 59:45 the porch, you know. Why? Because we 59:47 cannot guard the mosque. Now, if we can 59:51 guard the mosque and guarantee it, talk 59:53 to the Mosque Management (DKM), "Sir, 59:55 please don't lock it, we will guard it. 59:57 " That's how it works. There must be a 1:00:01 reason. The DKM wouldn't just lock it 1:00:04 suddenly. That is my analysis. There 1:00:07 must be one. Oh, for example, the 1:00:10 carpets get messy because the kids play 1:00:12 wrestling inside the mosque. You can 1:00:17 wrestle in the mosque, but clean up the 1:00:19 carpets first. Fencing, you can do that 1:00:22 , but put the carpets away first and 1:00:24 set them back up later. But if they 1:00:28 leave it messy, it ends up creating 1:00:30 more work, so it's better that way; the 1:00:33 caretaker only has so much to do. 1:00:37 >> Yes. They have to mop, sweep, turn on 1:00:40 the AC, clean the restrooms—they have 1:00:43 a lot of work. So, for that reason, I 1:00:47 think the clearest thing is to 1:00:49 communicate it with the DKM first, 1:00:51 right. Sir, excuse me, DKM, may I ask 1:00:56 why, what’s it called, the mosque is 1:00:58 locked after Isha, locked after Subuh, 1:01:01 like that. Ask them later, what are the 1:01:05 reasons? Oh, the reason makes sense. 1:01:08 Fine, how about if we offer to look 1:01:10 after it? Will it still be locked? Like 1:01:13 that. So there are interesting 1:01:16 dialogues, right. Because indeed, every 1:01:19 region has different issues, right. 1:01:22 Different issues, different situations, 1:01:23 different conditions. Some children are 1:01:27 pious, right, very good. Their toys are 1:01:32 reading Iqra books. But some people 1:01:36 really play, play "benjang.""Benjang" 1:01:39 is like wrestling, you see. Wrestling 1:01:42 inside or practicing what’s it called 1:01:44 ? Martial arts are allowed. We also do 1:01:48 martial arts at the mosque, but the 1:01:50 carpets are rolled up first, you see. 1:01:54 Now, after martial arts. If it’s in a 1:01:58 place without carpets, or if it has 1:01:59 carpets, the carpets are rolled up 1:02:01 first, cleaned first, like that. So, 1:02:04 God willing, everything can be 1:02:06 communicated, everything can be talked 1:02:08 through. That is what I can explain. 1:02:11 Wallahu a'lam bishawab. 1:02:15 >> Wallahu a'lam bishawab. That’s all, 1:02:17 Mrs. Hesti, I hope that answers it. 1:02:19 Next is a question from Mrs. Aminah in 1:02:21 Citra Indah. Ustaz. 1:02:22 >> Yes. 1:02:23 >> Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and 1:02:24 blessings, Ustaz. 1:02:25 >> And peace be upon you and Allah's mercy 1:02:28 and blessings. 1:02:31 >> Ustaz, may I ask a question. 1:02:32 >> Yes. About prayer. If we pray for our 1:02:37 parents who have passed away, 1:02:39 >> wherever we are, how far 1:02:43 >> no matter how far we are, will Allah 1:02:45 convey it to our parents who have 1:02:47 passed away? 1:02:49 >> Yes. Masha Allah. Alright. This is very 1:02:51 interesting. Whenever, wherever you 1:02:55 pray, if you are on the same frequency 1:02:57 with your parents, meaning both are 1:03:00 believers, it will reach them. Like, " 1:03:06 Allahummaghfirli waliwalidayya 1:03:08 warhamhuma kama rabbayani shaghira." 1:03:12 That is the most basic one in Quranic 1:03:14 guidance, it reaches them, right. So, 1:03:19 essentially, for example, therefore, 1:03:21 once again, try every time after prayer 1:03:24 , whether obligatory prayer or Tahajjud 1:03:26 , "Allahumma astaghfirullahaladzim li 1:03:31 waliwalidayya wa li ashabil huquqi wal 1:03:34 wajibati' alayya wa li-ahbina wa 1:03:36 li-ikhwanina wa li-jami'il muslimina 1:03:39 wal muslimati wal mu'minina wal 1:03:42 mu'minati al-ahya'i minhum wal amwat 1:03:45 birahmatika ya arhamarrahimin"—that 1:03:47 starts from the closest circle to us to 1:03:51 the furthest circle, that’s the 1:03:53 prayer. So pray for the family and then 1:03:57 those who have rights and obligations 1:03:59 from us. Then our siblings, our 1:04:03 teachers, and then on to all Muslims, 1:04:05 men and women. Even though that prayer 1:04:10 might, excuse me, the prayer I just 1:04:12 read might not be found starting from 1:04:15 the Prophet, but the Prophet encouraged 1:04:19 praying for others a lot. So, the 1:04:22 scholars then created prayers like 1:04:24 those. And we just need to practice 1:04:28 them, you see. Mashallah. So, because 1:04:31 of that, what happens? Once again, 1:04:33 wherever we are, always pray for our 1:04:36 parents. "Allahummaghfirli 1:04:38 waliwalidayya." That is if we are 1:04:41 praying for our own mother and father. 1:04:46 But if we are praying for our parents 1:04:48 and parents-in-law, it means " 1:04:50 Allahummaghfirlana," meaning for me and 1:04:52 my spouse. "Waliwalidina," and what 1:05:00 else, what do you call it? If it is for 1:05:04 many people, then it is "waliwalidina 1:05:09 warhamhuma," and have mercy on them, " 1:05:14 kama rabbayani saghira," just as they 1:05:18 raised us or cared for us when we were 1:05:23 little. If it is for one, it's " 1:05:27 rabbayani," but if it's plural... 1:05:30 >> Ah, "rabbayuna saghira," like that. So, 1:05:34 because of that, and also, God willing, 1:05:37 I apologize if the prayers, forgive me, 1:05:39 if there's a mistake in the prayer, 1:05:42 it's not a problem. Once again, there 1:05:46 are some among us who recite the prayer 1:05:48 "Allahumma sholli ala sayyidina 1:05:50 Muhammadin wa ala alihi wasahbihi 1:05:52 wasallim" or "wasallam." Now, for those 1:05:58 whose level, not level, but whose 1:06:00 understanding is deep, whether it's " 1:06:02 wasallim" or "wasallam," it's the same. 1:06:06 If it's "wasallim," that's the 1:06:07 imperative form (fi'il amr). 1:06:08 >> If it's "wasallam," that's the past 1:06:10 tense (fi'il madhi), you see. So, 1:06:12 mashallah. Eh, anyway, just, God 1:06:15 willing, the point is, "O Allah, this 1:06:17 is what I mean," like that. Allah 1:06:19 easily understands even if you slip up, 1:06:22 you see. Even if you stutter, Allah 1:06:25 understands, yes. But it is better if 1:06:29 we are careful, pray well, and pray 1:06:32 correctly, yes. That is what I can 1:06:35 explain, I think. Wallahu a'lam 1:06:38 bisshawab. Wallahu a'lam bisshawab. 1:06:42 That is all. I hope that answers your 1:06:44 question, Ma'am. Oh, let's continue, 1:06:48 Ustaz. There is still time. 1:06:49 >> Na'am (Yes). 1:06:49 >> God willing. 1:06:50 >> Na'am. 1:06:51 >> Uh, the next one. From. Liburetno, 1:07:00 Ustaz. 1:07:00 >> Na'am. 1:07:01 >> Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi 1:07:02 wabarakatuh. 1:07:03 >> Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 1:07:05 wabarakatuh. 1:07:07 >> Ustaz, may I ask a question? What about 1:07:10 a hereditary house that hasn't been 1:07:13 divided for 12 years because there are 1:07:17 two heirs who do not agree to sell or 1:07:20 divide it? What is the ruling on that, 1:07:23 Ustaz? 1:07:24 >> Lah, mashallah. Yes. Yes. Okay. Okay. 1:07:28 So, if the problem is that some do not 1:07:30 agree, that is the issue. 1:07:32 >> Yes. The inheritance must be divided. 1:07:35 Whether it's sold or divided, it's up 1:07:38 to you which one you choose. Oh, "I 1:07:40 want to sell it.""Oh, I don't agree." 1:07:42 Then, if that's the case, you buy it 1:07:44 from them. If you don't want it sold, 1:07:45 that's not allowed. That is the 1:07:47 consequence, isn't it? Because when our 1:07:51 parents have passed away, the house 1:07:53 belongs to the heirs, it is no longer 1:07:56 owned by one person. So, there must be 1:08:00 an agreement. There must be an 1:08:01 agreement. Oh, no agreement. "I won't, 1:08:03 I won't." Well, if it really cannot be 1:08:06 sold, then you buy the house from them. 1:08:08 Give me the money for my share. That's 1:08:12 how it is, right? Let's not be what? 1:08:14 Selfish. Don't say "don't sell it" but 1:08:17 then refuse to pay. There you go, yes. 1:08:20 Therefore, firstly, let us pray to 1:08:22 Allah that He grants the best solution. 1:08:26 Secondly, always deliberate if it is 1:08:28 not allowed to be, what is it, sold. 1:08:31 What is the reason? Brother, you may 1:08:36 have the opinion that it shouldn't be 1:08:39 sold, but I need money for my child's 1:08:42 tuition; could you perhaps cover my 1:08:45 inheritance share first? Cover it first 1:08:49 , then you can take my inheritance 1:08:51 share later. See, it's like that. Don't 1:08:55 just disagree without offering a 1:08:57 solution. But what if, for instance, it 1:09:03 takes years and never gets resolved 1:09:05 because there are no other buyers? But 1:09:09 if there is already an agreement to 1:09:10 sell it, yet there haven't been any 1:09:12 buyers for years. That is a different 1:09:14 problem entirely. Therefore, I think 1:09:18 the approach of drawing closer to Allah 1:09:20 , drawing near, saying, "O Allah, grant 1:09:23 me, grant us the best solution," is key 1:09:25 . Hopefully, someone will buy it. Even 1:09:30 if one of the heirs is able to buy it, 1:09:32 thank God, that is how it should be. So 1:09:37 , therefore, in this world, there is no 1:09:39 problem that cannot be solved, right? 1:09:42 As long as you are not selfish, not 1:09:44 like that. Alright, that is what I can, 1:09:47 uh, explain. Wallahu a'lam bishawab ( 1:09:50 Allah knows best). 1:09:52 >> Wallahu a'lam bishawab. That is all, 1:09:54 Mrs. Retno, I hope it answers your 1:09:55 question. Next. 1:10:00 >> The name. 1:10:01 >> From Mrs. Tini. Assalamu'alaikum 1:10:03 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Ustaz. 1:10:04 >> Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 1:10:07 wabarakatuh. 1:10:09 >> Jazakumullah khairan, Ustaz, for the 1:10:10 knowledge. May I ask a question, Ustaz? 1:10:16 Off-topic, what is your opinion on the 1:10:18 taxes currently being intensified by 1:10:20 the public, by the government? What I 1:10:23 mean by those being intensified by the 1:10:26 government, Ustaz, does this impact the 1:10:28 poor? I seek your guidance, Ustaz. 1:10:31 >> Yes. Taxes. Yes. The question is, what 1:10:39 are taxes for? And why is there, uh, a 1:10:44 tax regulation? Is it for what kind of 1:10:49 progress? Development. For development 1:10:52 progress, for personal progress. 1:10:54 >> Hmph. 1:10:55 >> It's like that. That has a huge impact, 1:10:57 that's the issue. Don't let the poor 1:11:01 people be the target, while the wealthy 1:11:06 remain untouched. I agree, for instance 1:11:10 , even though I apologize, I am not 1:11:12 familiar with the term "tax" in Islam. 1:11:16 I apologize once again for my limited 1:11:18 knowledge; what exists is zakat, what 1:11:22 exists is infaq. And infaq is adjusted 1:11:27 according to one's ability, see. It is 1:11:30 very...how beautiful Islam is, you know 1:11:32 . So the category is that there is no 1:11:36 coercion; in fact, if you pay zakat or 1:11:39 infaq, you get a reward. If you don't 1:11:41 pay, it's a sin, but you might think, " 1:11:44 Oh, I'm safe, I don't pay zakat, infaq, 1:11:46 or sadaqah, I'm safe and not entangled 1:11:49 by the law." Let's say it like that. In 1:11:52 the afterlife, you will be held 1:11:54 accountable, even if you are not now, 1:11:56 right? But then, until it appeared, 1:12:00 regarding the origins of taxes, I 1:12:02 haven't studied it in depth, taxes. So 1:12:05 back to the question, what are taxes 1:12:07 for? Oh, for development. It is true, 1:12:11 for development. Well, if it is for 1:12:14 development, it is reasonable to have 1:12:15 taxes. But then, not everyone—in fact 1:12:19 , poor people—is burdened with paying 1:12:21 taxes, you know. Just for living, for 1:12:25 daily food and drink, they are already 1:12:27 struggling, you know. Yet those who 1:12:30 have great wealth are the ones who are 1:12:32 free. That is the problem. 1:12:36 >> This is the issue. So, that is why I 1:12:39 use a, what you call, a religious 1:12:43 approach; I approach it not through 1:12:48 other kinds of approaches. Now, the 1:12:54 problem I mentioned earlier, let’s 1:12:55 answer first where the collected taxes 1:12:57 have gone all this time and how they 1:12:58 are accounted for, you know. But what 1:13:04 about the, let’s say, the issue that 1:13:07 taxes are being misused by certain 1:13:10 individuals; to what extent is that 1:13:13 being handled? If later many taxes are 1:13:17 being wasted, you know, don't blame the 1:13:20 poor, don't blame the people. Now, 1:13:24 because of that, the people—there 1:13:27 should be boundaries, surely. I also 1:13:30 know, I know why there is a need for 1:13:33 taxes to be intensified, because the 1:13:36 temporary suspicion or assumption is 1:13:39 that it wouldn't be nice if I were the 1:13:42 only one suffering a loss. So, let 1:13:46 everyone suffer. 1:13:48 >> Oh God. So, for everyone to suffer, it 1:13:50 is made mandatory and intensified. 1:13:53 Asset seizure, if the regulation were 1:13:57 only for that, then the ones who lose 1:14:01 are those, the ones in power whose 1:14:04 assets are being taken over. But with 1:14:09 this, the rules bind everyone, both 1:14:11 officials and the people, so everyone 1:14:14 is ruined together. Even if I am ruined 1:14:18 , then others must also be ruined, like 1:14:21 that. Therefore, for that reason, we 1:14:24 always complain to God while we do good 1:14:28 ; God willing, God will not waste our 1:14:31 good efforts, God willing, be convinced 1:14:35 of that. 1:14:37 >> Yes. Because of that, as I mentioned 1:14:41 earlier, we also support the efforts of 1:14:43 institutions that, you know, are 1:14:46 anti-corruption or eradicate corruption 1:14:48 . We support them, we pray for them. 1:14:52 Even if we don't shout, we pray. Our 1:14:56 shouting is in prayer, that's how we 1:14:58 are, you know. Not just, "Oh, destroy 1:15:01 this," that’s not us, you know. Let 1:15:05 the law handle it, but we pray from 1:15:08 afar, loudly, with all our hearts, that 1:15:13 is how it is. So, for that reason, why? 1:15:17 Because there are pros and cons if we 1:15:20 —what is the term—hold a protest or 1:15:23 demonstration. Demonstrations have 1:15:27 their pros and cons. The pro is that 1:15:32 the people's strength emerges and is 1:15:36 visible, but the con is that sometimes 1:15:40 they are hijacked or used for political 1:15:45 commodities. Ah, only God knows. I, I 1:15:48 am not more than that, I apologize. So 1:15:52 the point is, I said earlier, that 1:15:55 question is ambiguous and the answer is 1:15:59 also ambiguous, you know. For instance, 1:16:03 if taxes are intensified, if the ones 1:16:05 intensifying them are honest people, 1:16:08 >> Oh yes. 1:16:10 >> Then it becomes fully supported because 1:16:12 we know they are honest, it will be 1:16:14 spent in honest places, and it will be 1:16:17 utilized for the welfare of the people. 1:16:20 But if those who are enforcing it are 1:16:23 oppressors, how can we approve of it, 1:16:26 you know? Wallahu a'lam bisawab. 1:16:32 Wallahu a'lam bisawab. There you go, 1:16:34 Mrs. Tini, I hope that answers it. The 1:16:39 homework is for the government itself. 1:16:42 >> Yes. Okay. Right. Right. 1:16:44 >> Very well, Ustaz. Alhamdulillah, we 1:16:46 have reached the final meeting; any 1:16:49 closing words you wish to share with 1:16:52 our brothers and sisters? Please, Ustaz 1:16:55 . Very well. So, the conclusion we can 1:16:59 draw from this discussion, firstly, is 1:17:01 what should we call it? Envy should be 1:17:05 avoided because it is like what? It's 1:17:10 like fire consuming firewood or dry 1:17:13 grass. Be careful, we have done many 1:17:17 good deeds, collected them bit by bit, 1:17:19 but then it all gets burned up. Yeah. 1:17:23 >> Therefore, we seek refuge in Allah, it 1:17:27 is better for us to evaluate ourselves 1:17:31 and develop our efforts rather than 1:17:35 envying others. Then next is, well, we 1:17:40 as Muslims must love one another, right 1:17:43 ? Just love one another. Do not envy 1:17:47 each other, do not turn your backs on 1:17:49 each other, do not. That is why there 1:17:52 is no such thing as an exclusive 1:17:54 lifestyle in the Muslim community. 1:17:56 There isn't. It must be inclusive. So, 1:18:02 it's not about being egoistic and 1:18:04 feeling that only we are right. But 1:18:06 rather about being together. If I am 1:18:09 right, I will invite others. If others 1:18:13 are also right, I will get involved 1:18:15 with them. Right. That is being 1:18:17 inclusive. So, the truth isn't kept to 1:18:21 ourselves while others are left behind; 1:18:23 that's not it. But instead, others are 1:18:26 invited, and it's understood that 1:18:28 differences of opinion are normal and 1:18:30 common. Say, "O Allah, I have tried to 1:18:34 provide arguments to my brother." 1:18:38 Likewise, my brother has tried to 1:18:40 provide his arguments to me. Grant us 1:18:43 true understanding. "Rabbi-shrahli 1:18:47 sadri wa yassirli amri wahlul uqdatan 1:18:49 min lisani..." Therefore, every prayer 1:18:51 should be interpreted as such so that 1:18:53 they can understand. 1:18:57 >> Yeah. "Yafqohu qouli." That they will 1:19:00 understand my words. Because sometimes 1:19:03 the truth we convey is not understood 1:19:05 by others. That is where problems arise 1:19:09 . Even though there is no real problem. 1:19:11 The only problem is they do not 1:19:13 understand what we are saying. You see? 1:19:17 We are also speaking the truth. It is 1:19:20 just that they have not yet 1:19:22 >> not yet understood. Well, sometimes 1:19:24 it’s like that, right? Well, very 1:19:26 well. I think that is all that can be 1:19:29 presented. Wasallallahu ala nabiyina 1:19:32 Muhammadin walhamdulillahi rabbil 1:19:34 alamin. Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi 1:19:39 wabarakatuh. Waalaikumsalam 1:19:41 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 1:19:42 Alhamdulillahirabbil alamin. 1:19:43 Jazakumullah khairan, Ustaz. That was 1:19:46 the knowledge shared by Ustaz Ahmad 1:19:48 Saleh regarding the prohibition of envy 1:19:51 and the ban on finding faults in others 1:19:53 , brothers and sisters. May we be able 1:19:55 to practice it. 1:19:56 >> Amen. 1:19:57 >> I am Fauzi Rul Haq, begging to excuse 1:19:59 myself and apologizing for any 1:20:00 shortcomings. Let us close with a 1:20:02 prayer. Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika 1:20:04 ash-hadu alla ilaha illa anta 1:20:06 astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik. 1:20:08 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 1:20:09 wabarakatuh.
