0:00 just now, at Ustaz Jazir ASP, who was 0:05 part of the Shura Council of Jogokarian 0:09 Mosque, Yogyakarta, and for the last 0:12 year had served as an advisor to Radio 0:15 Silaturahim. He visited Rasil quite 0:19 often to provide advice, input, and 0:22 also joined us for several broadcasts. 0:26 Ustaz. Alhamdulillah, Ustaz Husein has 0:28 also arrived, and perhaps you could 0:30 lead a prayer for him, Ustaz. 0:33 May he be placed in the best position 0:34 by Allah's side. Please, Ustaz. 0:37 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 0:38 , the Most Merciful. All praise is due 0:41 to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Praise 0:44 that is abundant, good, and blessed, as 0:47 our Lord loves and is pleased with. O 0:51 Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad 0:52 and the family of Muhammad. Peace be 0:55 upon you. O Messenger of Allah. Peace 0:58 be upon us and upon the righteous 0:59 servants of Allah. And may the peace, 1:01 mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon 1:03 you. Brothers and sisters who are 1:06 blessed by Allah. Hopefully this 1:12 morning, the second morning of the 1:14 month of Rajab which is sanctified by 1:17 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, becomes a 1:22 month of education for us to truly 1:25 guard and uphold the honor of Allah 1:29 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, the honor of our 1:32 fellow human beings, as well as the 1:37 honor of our environment that we must 1:40 protect, all of which are things 1:43 sanctified by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 1:46 . We have just heard the news of the 1:53 passing of Ustaz Jazir, who was quite 1:57 vocal and courageous in speaking the 2:00 truth without any hesitation. Yes, we 2:04 hope that his struggle and his jihad in 2:07 the path of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 2:09 will be accepted by Allah Ta'ala, his 2:12 sins forgiven, his status elevated, and 2:14 that he be gathered with the companions 2:17 of our Prophet who fought in the path 2:19 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. He had 2:24 been ill for quite some time and had 2:27 undergone dialysis repeatedly. 2:31 Hopefully, his illness serves as an 2:33 expiation for his sins. 2:34 Amen. 2:35 Let us pray, beginning by reciting 2:38 al-Fatihah together. May this 2:41 recitation be a good means for us. To 2:45 open all our hearts and open the doors 2:47 of Allah's mercy. 2:49 Likewise, may there be forgiveness for 2:51 us, for the deceased, and for all 2:53 Muslim men and women. I seek refuge in 2:59 Allah from the accursed Satan. In the 3:04 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 3:05 Most Merciful. All praise is due to 3:12 Allah, Lord of the worlds, the Most 3:19 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of 3:24 the Day of Judgment. You alone we 3:29 worship and You alone we ask for help. 3:35 Guide us to the straight path. The path 3:41 of those upon whom You have bestowed 3:43 favor. Not of those who have evoked [ 3:47 Your] anger or of those who are astray. 3:57 Amen. 3:57 Amen. In the name of Allah, the Most 4:00 Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise 4:01 is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O 4:04 Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad 4:05 and the family of Muhammad. O Allah, we 4:09 ask You by Your name that is good, pure 4:12 , and blessed, the most beloved to You, 4:15 which when You are called upon by it, 4:18 You answer, and when You are asked by 4:21 it, You give, and when You are asked 4:24 for mercy by it, You show mercy; 4:27 forgive us and our brothers who 4:29 preceded us in faith, and all believing 4:32 men and women from the east of the 4:35 earth to its west. O Allah, forgive our 4:39 brother, Ustaz Jazir. O Allah, forgive 4:44 him, have mercy on him, grant him 4:46 well-being, and pardon him. O Allah, if 4:50 he was a doer of good, increase his 4:53 good deeds, and if he was a doer of 4:56 evil, overlook his sins. O Allah, grant 5:00 him an easy reckoning. O Allah, grant 5:04 him an easy reckoning. O Allah, grant 5:08 him an easy reckoning. 5:11 And make his grave, O our Lord, O Most 5:13 Merciful, O Most Compassionate, a 5:15 garden from the gardens of Paradise, 5:17 and do not make it a pit of fire. O 5:21 Allah, O our Lord, admit him into the 5:23 vastness of Your Paradise with those 5:25 whom You have favored, among the 5:27 prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, 5:30 and the righteous. O Allah, admit him 5:36 into the vastness of Your Paradise in 5:38 the company of Your Prophet Muhammad, 5:40 may Allah's peace and blessings be upon 5:42 him and his family, and grant patience 5:44 to his family. Indeed, to Allah we 5:47 belong and to Him we shall return. Our 5:50 Lord, You are the All-Hearing, the 5:59 All-Knowing, and You are the Accepting 6:00 of repentance, the Most Merciful. All 6:02 praise is due to Allah, Lord of the 6:03 worlds. 6:04 Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen, O Lord of the 6:07 worlds. God willing, may Ustaz Jazir 6:09 ASP, as the advisory council of 6:11 Jogokariyan Mosque, be granted the best 6:14 place by Allah. Amen. 6:15 His contributions, MashaAllah, in 6:18 making Jogokariyan Mosque and many 6:20 other mosques in various regions 6:22 flourish, Ustaz. MashaAllah. Regarding 6:25 how to manage a mosque correctly, and 6:27 how to make a mosque flourish. 6:29 MashaAllah, may that also be a 6:30 continuous charity for him. Amen. 6:32 Amen, O Lord of the Worlds. 6:34 Brothers. Very well. On this occasion, 6:36 Ustaz, perhaps we would like to discuss 6:39 the nobility of a mother, Ustaz. This 6:43 is also a question often asked by 6:45 listeners, about the true status of a 6:47 mother in Islam compared to other 6:50 family members. And also, why did the 6:54 Prophet mention the word 'mother' three 6:57 times before mentioning 'father' in the 6:59 hadith regarding who is most entitled 7:02 to good treatment. Also, we request an 7:06 explanation of the deep meaning behind 7:08 the phrase "heaven is under the feet of 7:10 mothers." Is this hadith authentic, and 7:14 also regarding traditions, Ustaz? The 7:18 culture of honoring mothers on Mother's 7:20 Day, Ustaz, on December 22nd, which 7:22 coincides with today. Does this 7:24 constitute imitation (tasyabbuh), and 7:26 other questions? Essentially, how does 7:29 Islam honor a mother? We invite you, 7:31 Ustaz. I seek refuge in Allah from the 8:01 accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, 8:02 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 8:04 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 8:07 praise that is abundant, good, and 8:09 blessed, as our Lord loves and is 8:11 pleased with. Our Lord, increase our 8:18 knowledge. O Allah, grant us mercy from 8:22 Yourself and provide us with knowledge 8:25 that is beneficial to us. Brothers and 8:29 sisters who are blessed by Allah. In 8:34 the midst of a society drowned in 8:37 materialism, we find that family 8:42 relationships and brotherhood, are 8:45 becoming, day by day, what? 8:48 Increasingly fragile. (H) 8:53 The warmth that we felt in the past, 8:58 when most humans were still conscious, 9:02 not yet controlled by the extraordinary 9:05 materialistic life like today. We truly 9:11 feel that when we meet one of our 9:14 family members, our relatives, we feel 9:17 an extraordinary warmth. After a long 9:21 time without meeting, we feel a longing 9:23 . Especially for both of our parents. 9:29 If we listen to the words of Allah 9:32 Subhanahu wa ta'ala in the Qur'an, we 9:38 find that the status of both parents is 9:41 so noble. Until Allah Subhanahu wa 9:45 ta'ala says: "And your Lord has decreed 9:48 that you worship none but Him." In the 9:54 testament that Allah poured into 9:55 Suratul Isra, and this testament is one 9:58 that was also conveyed to the prophets 10:00 and messengers before our Prophet 10:02 Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. 10:05 Including being among the 10 10:07 commandments that Allah gave to Musa. 10:12 Allah has decreed, Allah uses the word 10:15 'qada' here which shows firmness, " 10:18 waqada rabbuka." Your Lord has decreed 10:24 "alla ta'budu illa iyyah." That you do 10:28 not worship anything except Allah 10:30 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. "Wabil walidaini 10:37 ihsana." And Allah also commands you to 10:43 treat both your parents with 'ihsana', 10:45 with good and noble treatment. Whether 10:52 our parents are believers or not, the 10:56 decree from Allah requires us to treat 10:59 them with nobility. If someone is 11:07 obedient to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 11:10 worships Him, and gives charity, 11:15 executing the commands of Allah, but 11:17 neglecting one's parents, then all the 11:20 obedience performed will crumble and 11:23 fall away. This is not a trivial matter 11:28 . Just as someone, even if they live a 11:31 life doing good on the face of this 11:34 earth, but they associate partners with 11:38 Allah, then they will not receive 11:39 forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa 11:41 ta'ala. Just as if they believe in the 11:49 oneness of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 11:52 perform prayers, pay zakat, perform 11:55 Hajj, fast, and are kind to the 11:58 community, but they waste their parents 12:02 , 12:03 then there is no hope for them to enter 12:05 into paradise. Allah Subhanahu wa 12:10 ta'ala repeatedly reminds us, giving us 12:13 a testament to treat our parents well. 12:19 Then the question is, why does Allah 12:20 Subhanahu wa ta'ala not remind us to 12:25 treat our children with nobility? H why 12:30 is it that regarding wives, Allah 12:32 commands us to treat them with kindness 12:34 , "wa'asyiruhunna bil ma'ruf." And a 12:39 woman becomes our wife after the 12:41 marriage contract. But for parents, our 12:46 relationship with them is a 12:48 relationship that is truly very deep. 12:53 Our conception happened through the 12:56 union of our father and mother. We grew 13:00 in our mother's womb. Therefore, 13:03 Allah's message regarding parents is 13:05 specifically for our mothers. It is 13:09 explicit in the Qur'an. As the word of 13:13 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala in Surah 13:15 Al-Ahqaf. Wa wassaynal insana bi 13:20 walidayhi ihsana. We sternly advise 13:26 every human being that they treat both 13:32 their parents with good and noble 13:35 treatment. Hamalat-hu ummuhu kurha wa 13:45 waḍa'at-hu kurha. Especially the 13:48 mother who carries with hardship in 13:51 uncomfortable conditions. Not for a day 13:55 or two, but nine months. Wa 14:00 waḍa'at-hu kurha. And she also gives 14:06 birth with great difficulty, even 14:10 possibly experiencing hemorrhage, 14:13 pushing herself toward death. But 14:18 although she carried with difficulty, 14:21 gave birth with difficulty, as soon as 14:24 she gives birth to her child, her heart 14:27 , her soul, her face are full of 14:30 beaming happiness because of love for 14:33 the child. Wa hamluhu wa fiṣaluhu 14:37 thalathuna syahr. The period of her 14:43 pregnancy plus the breastfeeding period 14:46 until weaning is approximately 30 14:48 months. That is a fairly long time. Is 14:53 it finished? No. After weaning, a 14:56 mother's duty is actually even heavier. 15:01 She begins watching over her child, 15:03 caring for them, then paying more 15:05 attention to the child than to herself. 15:10 When she finds her child in a healthy 15:12 state, in good condition, beaming, her 15:14 heart is happy and joyful. But when she 15:17 finds her child in an uncomfortable 15:20 state or sick, her heart is restless, 15:23 her tears well up as she witnesses her 15:26 child in a state of sickness, fever, 15:29 especially when they face dangerous 15:32 moments. The child feels the heat and 15:38 the pain of the illness, but the 15:41 mother's heart is fuller with worry and 15:44 truly pure love. She works for her 15:48 child, not for 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 15:49 hours, 15:51 but works for 24 hours without 15:53 receiving any reward. Sometimes, even 15:56 when the child succeeds, they forget 15:59 their parents. Their attention is 16:01 focused more on their wife and children 16:04 . This is why Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 16:08 repeatedly conveys His will to us to 16:11 treat our parents with noble treatment. 16:16 Because water usually does not go up 16:19 unless it is pumped. It always flows 16:21 downwards towards children and towards 16:23 a wife. A man gives his attention 16:27 without being reminded. But towards his 16:31 parents, whose services are greater 16:33 than his wife and children. We often 16:36 encounter children who do not remember 16:38 the kindness of their parents. They 16:40 assume that what their parents did was 16:42 an obligation to their children. While 16:46 they do not feel obligated to be 16:48 devoted, do good, and treat their 16:51 parents nobly. It turns out parents ' 16:57 care is not just limited to one or two 17:00 years. Even though they are already 17:04 married, if their child is sick, a 17:06 mother's worry is greater. Likewise 17:10 parents towards whom? Towards their 17:13 child. Even though they have separated, 17:16 even though they have a household, even 17:18 though they have children, once parents 17:20 hear their child is sick, their heart 17:22 immediately feels uncomfortable. A love 17:25 that is truly sincere, pure, without 17:27 expecting a reward. But many children 17:34 nowadays. A man, once married, has 17:40 great attention for his wife and 17:43 children, but forgets his parents. Some 17:47 even make their parents like domestic 17:49 helpers to take care of their children. 17:53 Instead of honoring them. Even though 17:57 Allah has repeatedly given His will to 18:00 them. We even hear the conversation and 18:07 words of someone who was asked, "What 18:10 if a child's income is only enough for 18:15 him, his wife, and his children, and he 18:18 is unable to help his parents?" the 18:22 answer. Then he gives what he gets to 18:26 his wife and children. 18:29 He is not yet obligated to help his 18:31 parents when his income is not 18:33 sufficient. It turns out the answer 18:39 from GPT, which we consider not a 18:42 sentient being. AI has 18:46 when asked, "What is your opinion if 18:48 someone's income is just enough for his 18:51 family, while he is unable to meet the 18:54 needs of his parents who are in 18:57 difficult circumstances?" The answer, 19:00 the income is divided into two. Part 19:02 for his parents, part for his family. 19:07 This is a truly interesting answer. Why 19:11 ? Because Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 19:13 with the kindness given to his parents, 19:15 will open the doors of mercy. This is a 19:17 test. A test to examine his gratitude 19:22 towards his parents. As soon as he 19:26 gives attention to his parents, Allah 19:29 will open the doors of His mercy. 19:32 Therefore, whoever wants their sins 19:35 forgiven, their sustenance eased, and 19:38 their status raised, honor their 19:40 parents. I personally know several 19:48 people who are very devoted to their 19:52 parents, treat their parents 19:54 extraordinarily, 19:57 and always sternly remind their wives. 20:01 to treat both of their parents well. 20:05 Including reminding their children and 20:08 those around them to honor their 20:10 parents. A son says to his wife, "I can 20:18 forgive you if you make mistakes 20:23 between you and me." But if you treat 20:26 my parents in a way that is not noble, 20:30 then I will decide to separate from you 20:33 . His time and attention toward his 20:39 parents were incomparable. He felt that 20:42 all his success and what he achieved 20:44 were because of his parents' sacrifices 20:47 . Once, when he married a woman, she 20:54 felt angry whenever she saw her husband 20:58 giving to his parents. She said, "You 21:03 should ask for my permission if you 21:05 want to give anything to your parents. 21:07 I am your wife, your partner." Her 21:11 husband said, "They gave everything for 21:16 me. And what you receive right now is 21:21 all thanks to my mother's sacrifices." 21:25 Because of his wife's behavior, he 21:27 decided to leave her. He separated from 21:32 his wife. That is also what happened to 21:36 the football player from Spain, Ronaldo 21:38 . He left his wife. Because of what? 21:41 Because she was rude to his mother. He 21:47 then said, "My success is because of my 21:50 mother's struggle. She worked as a 21:53 manual laborer washing clothes to buy 21:55 shoes for her child so he could play 21:58 football." So we see that in this era, 22:04 materialism has truly replaced noble 22:08 values, moral values, devotion to 22:12 parents, love and warmth for the family 22:16 , and being kind and noble to others. 22:21 They consider all these things 22:23 incomparable to material value, which 22:27 they truly cherish and honor. They also 22:30 honor people who possess material 22:32 wealth. They look down on the little 22:35 people who are poor and helpless. This 22:40 is not just happening in general 22:42 society, but even among religious 22:43 people, this is often done by them. 22:46 Acting rudely toward their parents. 22:51 Likewise in Surah Luqman. Allah 22:55 Subhanahu wa ta'ala recounts how Allah 22:59 tells of Luqman giving advice to his 23:03 son. In between, Allah reminds every 23:08 child to treat their parents with 23:11 nobility. Allah says in Surah Luqman, 23:14 starting from verse 12. Walaqina 23:18 luqmanal hikmata aniskurillah wam 23:22 yaskur fainnama yaskuru linafsih waman 23:25 kafara fainnallaha ghaniyun hamid. 23:31 Indeed, We have bestowed upon Luqman 23:33 wisdom. This 'hikmah' is truly wisdom. 23:41 Placing things in their proper place. 23:44 Behaving in the proper place as well. 23:46 So Allah says, "Waman yutal hikmata 23:49 faqad utiya khairon katir.""Whoever is 23:52 given wisdom has indeed been given an 23:55 abundance of good." We bestowed upon 23:59 Luqman wisdom, until he became known as 24:03 Luqman al-Hakim. Anisykur lillah. 24:08 Anisykur. You should be grateful to 24:11 Allah. Wam yaskur fainnama yaskuru 24:15 linafsih. Whoever is grateful, surely 24:18 their gratitude will return as a 24:21 benefit to themselves. When he is 24:24 grateful to Allah, Allah Subhanahu wa 24:27 ta'ala is not benefited. But his 24:29 gratitude, its benefit returns entirely 24:32 to him. Being grateful to both parents 24:34 because of obeying Allah Ta'ala. Allah 24:37 will bestow infinite mercy and 24:38 blessings upon him. Waman kafar 24:42 fainnallaha ghaniyun hamid. Whoever is 24:45 ungrateful, indeed Allah is 24:46 All-Sufficient and Worthy of all praise 24:48 . Allah bestowed upon Luqman wisdom. 24:54 Among the greatest forms of wisdom is 24:56 to be grateful to Allah Subhanahu wa 24:58 ta'ala. Waid qala Luqmanu libnihi 25:02 wahuwa ya'izuhu. Ya bunayya la tusyrik 25:06 billah inna syirka lazhulmun 'azim. And 25:10 when Luqman said to his son, giving him 25:13 the best advice and guidance, "Never 25:17 associate partners with Allah Subhanahu 25:20 wa ta'ala." Inna syirka lazhulmun' azim 25:24 . Indeed, shirk (polytheism) is a great 25:28 injustice. There is no greater 25:32 injustice than shirk. Once a person 25:35 associates partners with Allah, they 25:37 have betrayed the Allah who created 25:39 them without any partner. Yet they 25:42 associate Allah with His creations. As 25:45 a consequence of this shirk, it will 25:48 ruin their entire life. A life built 25:52 upon shirk is a broken life, a life 25:55 filled with injustice. It is different 26:00 from a life built upon faith in Allah, 26:02 faith in the Last Day, faith in His 26:05 Books, and faith in His Messengers, 26:07 which guides them on the straight path. 26:15 Then, Wa wassaynal insana biwalidayhi 26:17 hamalathu ummuhu wahnan 'ala wahnin wa 26:20 fishaluhu fi' amayni ani-skurli 26:22 waliwalidayka ilayyal mashir. In 26:26 between, eh, the favors that Allah gave 26:31 to Luqman, and likewise Luqman's 26:34 bequest to his son. Allah Subhanahu wa 26:37 ta'ala asserts, "Wa wassaynal insan."" 26:41 And We have strictly advised mankind 26:45 regarding their parents, to treat them 26:49 with noble treatment." Take care of, 26:55 pay attention to, and love your parents 26:58 who have sacrificed for you. Hamalathu 27:02 ummuhu wahnan 'ala wahnin wa fisaluhu. 27:06 She carried him through hardship and 27:07 difficulty. And the weaning period was 27:11 for two years. Then Allah reminds, " 27:14 Ani-skurli waliwalidayka ilayyal mashir 27:17 .""Give thanks to Me and to your 27:21 parents." And to Me, eventually, you 27:23 will be returned. We see Allah reminds 27:26 mankind to be grateful to Allah and to 27:29 be grateful to their parents. If in 27:33 Surah Al-Isra, "Qadha Rabbuka alla 27:36 ta'budu illa iyyahu wabil walidayni 27:38 ihsana." An affirmation and decree from 27:41 Allah. Whoever violates it will not 27:44 receive Allah's mercy, so that you do 27:46 not worship anyone except Allah alone. 27:50 And Allah also mandates that you treat 27:53 your parents with good and noble 27:55 treatment. Wa in jahadaka' ala an 28:02 tusyrika bi ma laysa laka bihi 'ilmun 28:05 fala tuti'huma washahibhuma fid dunya 28:07 ma'rufa. If your parents force you, 28:12 asking you to perform an act that is 28:15 not right, to associate others with Me, 28:18 or say, acts forbidden by Allah. 28:22 Parents order us to do something wrong. 28:27 Do not obey them. Washahibhuma fid 28:31 dunya ma'rufa. But continue to 28:33 associate with them in a kind way. Even 28:36 when parents commit shirk against Allah 28:40 , Allah still commands us to treat them 28:43 nobly. Our treatment should not be 28:46 connected to what? Their shirk toward 28:49 Allah. Their act of shirk is their own 28:51 responsibility. But the child must 28:54 still treat their parents with nobility 28:56 . Truly, this is such beautiful 29:00 guidance and direction in life. Truly. 29:06 Washahibhuma fid dunya ma'rufa wattabi' 29:09 sabila man anaba ilayya. In this life's 29:13 journey, follow the path of those who 29:15 return to Me. Not the path of those 29:18 controlled by desires, by the love of 29:21 the world, forgetting the hereafter. 29:25 Their lives are tossed about by the 29:27 devil in the midst of unclear waves of 29:29 life. Tumma ilaiya marjiukum 29:36 faunabbiukum bimaa kuntum tam'malun. 29:39 Then to Me you will all be returned, 29:42 and I will inform you of what you used 29:45 to do. Life in this world is not long. 29:52 Even if we live for 100 years, our life 29:54 is brief. Because one day in the sight 29:58 of Allah is equal to 1,000 years. So 30:01 that means we only live 1/10 of one day 30:04 of the hereafter. Whereas the life of 30:08 the hereafter has no end. What will we 30:10 boast about? We chase the world that 30:13 runs away from us. We are full of 30:16 loyalty to the world, yet the world 30:19 betrays us. When we are left helpless, 30:23 the world only watches and laughs at us 30:25 . Because we have prioritized the world 30:28 while forgetting Allah. Who created 30:31 this world. In the end, we become a 30:35 game tossed about by anxiety, unrest, 30:39 fear, and hope, all of which are 30:42 illusions and mirages. Unlike those who 30:46 love Allah, Allah grants them both the 30:48 world and the hereafter. So remember, 30:52 before long you will be returned to Me 30:56 and I will inform you of what you used 30:59 to do. Ya bunayya, O my son. Innaha in 31:05 taku mithqala habbatim min khardalin 31:08 fatakun fi sakhratin aw fis samawati aw 31:11 fil ardhi ya'ti bihallah. Innallaha 31:14 latifun khabir. O my son, truly any 31:18 deed any deed, no matter how small, be 31:26 it associating partners with Allah, 31:29 sins, evil, or oppression, no matter 31:32 how small, say that the deed, that deed 31:38 is only the weight of a mustard seed. 31:42 This is an expression for something 31:44 extremely, extremely small. Say that 31:48 the deed you did is a small deed. 31:51 Hidden in a rock or kept in the heavens 31:54 or in the earth. Its existence is 31:58 hidden. Allah will bring that deed 32:01 forth. Yati bihallah. Innallaha latifun 32:05 khabir. Indeed, Allah is the Subtle. 32:07 Meaning, whatever is subtle, no matter 32:10 how small, will be brought forth by 32:12 Allah. Allah's scales vibrate for 32:16 anything, no matter how small, and not 32:19 just material things. Things that are 32:23 abstract will make the scales of Allah 32:28 Subhanahu wa ta'ala vibrate. Not just 32:34 small things, not just material ones; 32:36 abstract things will make Allah's 32:37 scales vibrate, no matter how small. 32:41 That is the mercy and love of Allah, 32:43 who will not let anyone's goodness go 32:45 to waste. But Allah will not let any 32:48 oppression, however small, committed by 32:50 humans pass, unless he repents back to 32:53 Allah. Innallaha latifun khabir. Indeed 32:58 , Allah is the Subtle, the Knowing. Ya 33:02 bunayya aqimis-salah, wa'mur 33:04 bil-ma'rufi wanha 'anil-munkar. O my 33:07 son, establish prayer. Then carry out 33:11 your duty as a member of society who 33:13 invites to what is good, to noble 33:15 values. Do not let evil instead be 33:19 called for loudly. Are there many? 33:24 Those who invite to it, while the voice 33:26 for what is good is low; you, together 33:29 with your friends and brothers, must 33:31 invite to what is good. Wamur bil 33:36 ma'rufi. Then wanil munkar and forbid 33:41 what is evil. Do not let the evil 33:45 openly, boldly, and loudly raise its 33:48 voice and show its face. While the good 33:52 remains hidden out of shame. Wa'mur 33:56 bil-ma'rufi wanha' anil-munkari washbir 33:58 'ala ma ashabaka inna dhalika min' 34:00 azmil-umur. Be patient with whatever 34:03 befalls you in your life's journey of 34:05 obeying Allah, inviting to the good, 34:07 and forbidding the evil. Because the 34:10 trials you face are trials that are 34:14 truly of great value. Therefore, 34:17 prophets who possess a patient soul, 34:20 who invite to virtue, who call people 34:22 back to Allah, are known as Ulul Azmi 34:24 minar-rusul, prophets who possess great 34:27 determination. So, be patient with 34:30 whatever befalls you on the path of 34:32 Allah in conveying the messages of 34:35 Allah. And this is a great matter that 34:38 truly requires what? Great 34:41 determination. Therefore, its value is 34:43 also immense in the sight of Allah 34:44 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Wala tus'hir 34:50 khaddaka lin-nasi wala tamshi fil-ardi 34:53 maraha. Do not turn your face away from 34:56 people in arrogance. Do not aggrandize 35:01 yourself before others, belittling them 35:04 by turning your cheek away from them 35:07 while speaking. When shaking hands, 35:11 instead of shaking their hands while 35:13 speaking sweet words, looking at them, 35:15 and honoring them, Allah will honor and 35:17 raise your status. So, do not turn your 35:22 face away in front of people. Wala 35:26 tamshi fil-ardi maraha. And do not walk 35:30 on the earth with pride. With full what 35:34 ? Pride and arrogance. Allah Subhanahu 35:40 wa ta'ala emphasizes, "Innallaha la 35:42 yuhibbu kulla mukhtalin fakhur.""Allah 35:45 does not like anyone who is arrogant." 35:49 Mukhtal describes arrogant body 35:51 language. Fakhur is one who loves to 35:54 boast. Walk with simplicity and full 36:01 humility upon the earth. Then lower 36:04 your voice. Do not raise your voice too 36:08 high, which shows arrogance and pride. 36:13 Inna ankaral-aswati lasawtul-hamir. 36:16 Indeed, the harshest of all voices, 36:18 which is most disliked and rejected, is 36:21 the voice of the donkey. This is a 36:26 counsel, a testament that Allah 36:29 Subhanahu wa ta'ala has willed and 36:31 advised to us through the tongue of 36:34 Luqman al-Hakim. This is what? Advice 36:39 conveyed by Luqman and also recorded by 36:43 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah 36:47 conveys this to every nation. Now, if 36:53 we reflect together on the testaments 36:57 in Surah Luqman as well as in Surah 37:00 Al-Ahqaf, and also found in Suratul 37:03 Ankabut and Suratul An'am, it reminds 37:06 us all to truly worship Allah, not to 37:10 associate anything with Allah, and 37:13 secondly, to truly treat our parents 37:16 with nobility. Therefore, a child 37:21 should when they are mature and able to 37:26 work, their attention to their parents 37:28 should be even greater than their 37:31 attention to themselves or their own 37:34 family. 37:36 Because their family actually receives 37:40 what? Receives what? the success fought 37:44 for by her parents until she attained a 37:47 good husband, a husband capable of 37:49 working to provide for his wife, and 37:51 likewise for their children. 37:54 Therefore, guide our wives to respect 37:57 our parents. Just as a man should also 38:00 respect and honor his wife's parents, 38:03 who gifted their daughter to us after a 38:05 long upbringing without receiving 38:08 anything in return, with the hope that 38:10 we also treat their daughter with 38:12 nobility. But remember, do not let us 38:16 forget our own parents because of our 38:19 wives or our children. Therefore, 38:23 whoever honors their parents throughout 38:25 their life? God willing, Allah 38:27 Subhanahu wa ta'ala will grant them 38:29 honor, even if they are not a believer. 38:32 If they are a believer, Allah will 38:34 honor them in this world. Likewise, in 38:37 the hereafter, Allah Subhanahu wa 38:39 ta'ala will bestow honor upon His 38:41 believing servants who do not associate 38:43 anything with Allah and who honor both 38:46 their parents. Wallahu'alam (And Allah 38:48 knows best). 38:49 Very well, Ustaz. Next, Ustaz, let us 38:51 proceed. There are two questions, one 38:53 from Mr. Ahmad 38:55 in Cilegon, and Bunda Khairoh, who did 38:57 not mention her location, Ustaz, 38:59 regarding this nobility of the mother, 39:01 Ustaz. The first, Ustaz, how can one 39:04 heal the wounded heart of a mother if 39:07 we have committed a great mistake 39:09 against her in the past, Ustaz? Then 39:13 from Bunda Khairo, "Ustaz, what is your 39:16 message for the youth and our children 39:19 who nowadays sometimes prioritize their 39:22 hobbies or friends over serving their 39:24 mother's needs at home?" Okay, Ustaz. 39:29 That is all. 39:34 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 39:35 , the Most Merciful. Our Lord, increase 39:37 us in knowledge and join us with the 39:38 righteous. Hobbies are a good thing for 39:46 someone as long as they lead to 39:48 positive things, and do not make one 39:51 forget their obligations to Allah, 39:54 their obligations to their parents, 39:57 their obligations to their family, and 40:00 their obligations to their society. But 40:05 if, for the sake of a hobby, they 40:08 ignore or neglect their obligations, 40:12 then by itself, this is not a good or 40:15 healthy thing. Like someone who has a 40:19 hobby of being addicted to consuming 40:21 cigarettes. Cigarettes are often viewed 40:24 as a trivial matter, right? Even though 40:28 we know that smoking, besides harming 40:32 ourselves, we can also wrong others 40:38 with the smoke that we puff from our 40:42 mouths, affecting people who do not 40:46 smoke, and also what? It can also harm 40:50 our wives and our children who receive 40:54 our smoke puffs every day. They spread 40:58 disease not only to themselves but also 41:01 to those around them. Thirdly, they 41:04 waste their wealth in the wrong places. 41:08 Fourthly, besides wasting their wealth 41:13 in the wrong places, they also what? 41:18 They also use their wealth for the 41:22 benefit of people who are of no use to 41:24 the community. For reasons like this, 41:29 the ruling on cigarettes is no longer 41:31 just makruh (disliked) but haram ( 41:32 forbidden). Allah says in the Qur'an, " 41:36 Wala tubazzir tabzira." Do not spend 41:41 your wealth wastefully. "Innal 41:45 mubazzirina kanu ikhwanash-shayatin..." 41:49 Indeed, those who like to waste their 41:52 wealth are brothers to the devils. And 41:58 the devil is a creature that is defiant 42:00 toward its Lord. So we are befriending 42:02 and fraternizing with the devil. Who 42:05 says that smoking is not squandering 42:08 one's wealth? If there is a prohibition 42:11 in the Quran like this, it indicates it 42:12 is haram. Every command that lacks any 42:17 evidence or context to divert that 42:19 command indicates an obligation; 42:22 conversely, if there is a prohibition 42:25 without anything 42:28 that diverts from that prohibition, 42:30 then the ruling is haram. That is a 42:34 well-known principle in usul fiqh ( 42:35 principles of jurisprudence). So on 42:39 this basis, based on this verse alone, 42:44 it is already haram. Second, committing 42:46 injustice (zulm). Allah forbids us from 42:50 committing injustice. Likewise, the 42:52 traditions (sunnah) of our Prophet 42:53 Muhammad, peace be upon him. Whether it 42:56 is harming ourselves, harming others, 42:59 our families, or our society. These are 43:03 all acts forbidden by Allah Subhanahu 43:05 wa ta'ala. In fact, Allah has forbidden 43:07 injustice upon Himself. Allah has made 43:10 injustice haram among us. Verses that 43:12 forbid us from committing injustice are 43:13 numerous. The Prophet's hadith, both 43:17 those spoken directly by the Prophet or 43:19 hadith qudsi, clearly forbid injustice. 43:22 This is already two matters. 43:24 Third, 43:26 plunging ourselves into destruction. Wa 43:28 la tulqu wa la tulqu bi-aydikum ila 43:33 al-tahlukah. Do not plunge yourselves 43:37 into destruction. Cigarettes clearly 43:41 cause damage slowly. When we should be 43:46 protecting our bodies, we damage them 43:49 with our own hands; our lungs, hearts, 43:51 and other organs also suffer 43:53 disturbances. Not to mention the wealth 43:57 we spend does not benefit the Muslims, 44:01 but benefits conglomerates and 44:04 oligarchs 44:06 whose contributions to the community 44:07 are invisible. Even if they pay taxes, 44:12 we know that some of these taxes leak 44:15 here and there. The ones who benefit 44:18 are officials, while the people only 44:20 hear the figures but do not enjoy the 44:23 results. In other countries, if people 44:27 pay high taxes, they truly feel the 44:29 impact. Feel what? They feel it, the 44:34 entire population feels it. Witness the 44:37 situation in Australia or New Zealand. 44:41 Welfare for those unable to work, those 44:44 who have no job opportunities at all, 44:47 and the sick truly receive attention 44:50 from the state. They are even given 44:54 appreciation for paying taxes. The gap 44:58 between rich and poor is not too wide, 45:00 unlike in developing countries. We 45:04 witness how little attention is given 45:08 to the people. In fact, if we look 45:11 closely, the people become victims of 45:13 the actions of those in power. Likewise 45:16 with the oligarchs who collaborate with 45:18 them, as we encounter where? 45:20 We encounter it in Sumatra 45:23 and in other places. 45:25 Alright, Ustaz. About the one earlier, 45:27 what about once having hurt Mother? 45:29 Alright. So, regarding what must be 45:34 reminded to our children, hobbies 45:38 that are harmful must be combated. And 45:41 we must remember that we are 45:43 responsible for the deeds we commit 45:47 and will one day stand before Allah 45:50 regarding this brief worldly life and 45:52 the hobbies we enjoyed. actually only 45:57 provides momentary pleasure, but will 45:59 become a heavy burden for us in the 46:02 hereafter later on. Therefore, negative 46:07 hobbies, hobbies that cause us to 46:09 neglect our obligations to God, to our 46:11 parents, to our families, to our 46:13 society, must be fought against. And 46:17 the community should also work together 46:20 . Because it is difficult if, for 46:21 example, what? One person faces such a 46:24 heavy trial amidst regulations that 46:26 allow it, and amidst a society that is 46:29 also fond of doing it. Now if we pay 46:32 attention, our media often encourages 46:35 wrongdoing. Advertisements leading 46:37 toward pornography as an example. It is 46:40 incredibly rampant, easily accessible 46:42 to anyone. Then, there are applications 46:45 that provide it that we can also 46:47 install, right. Even when asked about 46:51 age, a small child can easily lie. 46:54 Asked how old you are, you say 30 years 46:56 old? 46:56 They will not at all, what, they will 46:59 not ask further because why? This is 47:01 what? It is a profitable market for 47:04 them. 47:05 Yes. 47:06 Likewise regarding online loans, 47:08 regarding online gambling, regarding 47:11 infidelity. The applications are 47:14 available and easily obtained by anyone 47:16 who wants them. A country like this, a 47:19 country that destroys its people, truly 47:22 destroys what and corrupts their morals 47:24 . A nation is not measured by its 47:28 physical prosperity, but by its morals 47:31 and character. Therefore, a poet 47:34 expressed the Prophet's primary mission 47:37 , that a nation is seen by its 47:39 character and morals. If its character 47:42 and morals are corrupted, then that 47:44 nation, even if it exists, is the same 47:46 as non-existent. It is heading toward 47:48 destruction. So, let us help our youth 47:51 to live in a healthy environment, 47:54 healthy opinions, accustomed to doing 47:57 good things, and directed so that their 48:00 hobbies are in a positive, good 48:02 direction, that can truly what? Make 48:06 them responsible people toward their 48:08 families, toward society, toward the 48:10 nation and country. As for bad hobbies 48:13 like corruption, 48:15 Yeah. corruptive, yes, committed by 48:18 oligarchs or officials, these are 48:19 hobbies that must be fought. If the 48:22 people are aware, the community is 48:24 aware, all of this can be cleaned up in 48:26 an instant. 48:26 Yes. 48:27 But what is sad is that it turns out it 48:29 is not only those at the top who are 48:30 unjust; those at the bottom also do 48:32 injustice if they have the chance. 48:33 Those at the bottom here 48:35 have the chance to commit injustice. So 48:38 how will our country rise, succeed, 48:41 prosper, and live in an atmosphere full 48:44 of justice if we are fond of committing 48:47 injustice and enjoy unhealthy hobbies? 48:51 Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, 48:52 educate our children, not just from 48:54 when they start school and become 48:56 adults. But from a young age, set an 49:00 example. Keep our children busy, guide 49:04 them toward good and healthy hobbies. 49:07 Monitor their social circles so they do 49:09 not associate with bad people. But 49:13 associating with good people and 49:15 growing up in a good environment will 49:17 also foster healthy hobbies and habits 49:19 in their hearts. But if it is already 49:23 high school or college and parents 49:25 start panicking over their behavior, 49:27 then, ladies and gentlemen, you are too 49:29 late in this matter. They are already, 49:32 what? Adults. Those habits have already 49:37 taken root within them. So, let us 49:39 begin the education of our children. 49:41 Even from the moment we choose our 49:44 partners. 49:44 Hm. Choose a righteous woman. And women 49:47 should also choose a righteous husband. 49:51 Then, when together, always pray to 49:53 Allah; when the child is born, start 49:56 getting them used to a healthy 49:59 environment. Listen to the verses of 50:04 Allah, let the parents speak kindly, 50:06 and the mother must truly work together 50:09 with the husband to build goodness. No 50:12 screaming or shouting. Anger or 50:15 shouting heard by the child since they 50:17 were small will automatically be 50:19 imitated by the child from their 50:20 parents. Instead, spread good values 50:23 and make them a habit within our 50:25 children's environment and our family. 50:28 Wallahu a'lam (Allah knows best). 50:29 Very well, Ustaz. One thing, Ustaz, 50:31 that was missed. How, uh, if one has 50:33 hurt their mother in the past and 50:34 committed a major mistake against her? 50:37 That 50:38 means if a child realizes they have 50:40 done wrong to their mother, they can go 50:42 to their parent. 50:45 If she is still alive, it is a blessing 50:47 to go and ask for forgiveness from your 50:50 parent, correct your mistakes, follow 50:52 up your bad deeds with noble ones, and 50:55 serve your mother as best as you can; 50:57 the sad part is if your parent has 50:59 already passed away. 51:02 Then, when the parent has passed away, 51:05 the child still has hope by treating 51:08 those whom the mother loved with noble 51:11 treatment. Redeem those mistakes with 51:15 noble deeds. Perform righteous acts, 51:17 hoping in Allah that they will serve as 51:20 atonement for those mistakes. Then, if 51:22 they have siblings, treat them with 51:25 nobility. 51:26 Treat them with nobility. Likewise with 51:29 the parents 'siblings. Everyone who was 51:34 loved by your parent, treat them well 51:36 and nobly; those who need our help, we 51:38 help them and respect them. This is a 51:43 form of repentance that we hope will 51:45 make the mother in the afterlife smile 51:47 with joy, witnessing the child who once 51:50 hurt her. After she passed away, it 51:53 turns out the child realized their 51:54 mistake. And we hope that Allah 51:57 Subhanahu wa ta'ala bestows His mercy 51:59 upon the mother. Who lived a life of 52:02 hardship in this world, and may mercy 52:04 also be granted to the child who 52:05 repents back to Allah Subhanahu wa 52:07 ta'ala. And I am sure every parent 52:10 wants the best for their child. I met 52:13 an elderly person, a mother, whose 52:16 child was incredibly troublesome to her 52:19 . 52:20 To the point that the community, out of 52:22 annoyance with this child, placed the 52:23 child in the middle of the road so the 52:24 child would get hit by a car. Hit by a 52:27 car. But it turned out the mother was 52:29 crying hysterically and rushed in a 52:31 panic to save that child. A mother 52:34 never harbors hatred toward her child. 52:37 Even though sometimes she gets angry, 52:39 sometimes she says harsh words, but 52:41 after that, a mother's love will 52:43 continue to overflow in her heart and 52:45 she cannot hate the child she loves. 52:49 Therefore, it is a great loss for a 52:50 child who has both parents but does not 52:52 appreciate them. Especially in their 52:55 old age, so one should heed the command 52:57 of Allah Ta'ala. And for someone who 53:01 has parents, even if their good deeds 53:03 are not many, and even if they have 53:05 committed sins, by being devoted to 53:07 their parents while seeking the 53:09 pleasure of Allah, God willing, their 53:11 sins will be forgiven by Allah, their 53:13 status raised, and they will be 53:15 gathered with those honored by Allah 53:17 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Such is it, 53:20 brothers and sisters who are blessed by 53:22 Allah. Perhaps the previous answer was 53:25 mixed with other things, but all of it 53:27 is intended to remind us. And I am 53:31 among those who lost their mother since 53:34 childhood. So I truly feel the loss and 53:38 wish that if she were still alive, we 53:39 could treat her with nobility. But it 53:42 seems Allah had another will. May Allah 53:45 forgive our sins and mistakes. May 53:48 Allah bestow His mercy upon us. May 53:50 Allah make us noble human beings. Noble 53:53 towards the servants of Allah Ta'ala. 53:56 Good towards our family, our community, 53:59 and even towards our environment. We do 54:02 not cause destruction until we arrive 54:04 before Allah. We arrive in a state of 54:06 being people who are far from 54:07 committing injustice. May Allah 54:11 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala make our nation, 54:13 this Indonesian nation where the 54:16 majority are Muslims, truly noble 54:18 people so they do not shame their 54:20 religion, nor shame their prophet. 54:25 Likewise for those who have not yet 54:26 received guidance, may Allah grant them 54:28 guidance so that we are united in the 54:29 guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 54:32 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik ashadu 54:34 alla ilaha illa anta astagfiruka wa 54:36 atubu ilaik wal afu minkum. 54:38 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 54:40 wabarakatuh. 54:41 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 54:42 wabarakatuh. Thus, brothers and sisters 54:45 , that was the reflection under the 54:46 shade of the Quran with our teacher 54:48 Ustadz Husein Alatas regarding how we 54:49 honor our mothers, brothers and sisters 54:51 . Let us pray for our mothers, may they 54:55 be granted health, goodness, and also 54:56 nobility from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala 54:58 . For mothers who are still with us, 55:03 still alive, and also for mothers who 55:05 have left us first, may they be granted 55:07 forgiveness and a spacious grave, 55:09 Ustadz. God willing, they will be 55:11 placed in the best of places as well. 55:12 Amin. 55:13 Amin. Amin ya Rabbal Alamin. And 55:15 brothers and sisters, before we end, we 55:17 convey sad news again that a death has 55:19 occurred. Ustadz Muhammad Jazir ASP, 55:22 who was the Council of the Jokokariyan 55:25 Mosque in Yogyakarta. He passed away 55:29 this morning at 5:58 AM, Monday, today, 55:33 2 Rajab 1447 Hijriah, coinciding with 55:37 December 22, 2025. He also, in this 55:41 last year, quite intensely visited 55:43 Rasil to provide his advice in 55:45 fostering the Silaturahim radio. 55:48 MasyaAllah, may Allah forgive his sins 55:50 and may Allah accept his righteous 55:52 deeds and also his ongoing charity for 55:54 how he educated, especially the mosque 56:00 managers throughout Indonesia, to 56:02 create a better mosque civilization. 56:05 Brothers and sisters, we take our leave 56:07 . Billahi taufik wal hidayah. 56:08 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 56:10 wabarakatuh. 56:10 Waalaikumsalam.
