0:15 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 0:16 , the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, 0:17 and Allah's mercy and blessings. O 0:19 Allah, send prayers upon our master 0:20 Muhammad and upon the family of our 0:22 master Muhammad. Praise be to Allah, we 0:24 meet again today, Thursday, the 29th of 0:28 Safar 1447 Hijri, or August 21, 2025. 0:32 We meet again for the "Reflections 0:33 under the Shade of the Qur'an" program 0:36 with Ustaz Husein bin Hamid Al-Attas. 0:38 Praise be to Allah, he is already 0:39 present here. We will read Surah 0:42 Al-Jathiyah, starting from verse 16. 0:46 Here with us are Saputra and Algi. 0:49 Alright, let us begin this event by 0:51 reciting Al-Fatihah. I seek refuge in 0:57 Allah from the accursed Satan. In the 1:04 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 1:06 Most Merciful. All praise is due to 1:13 Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most 1:23 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of 1:29 the Day of Judgment. You alone we 1:34 worship, and You alone we ask for help. 1:42 Guide us to the straight path. The path 1:48 of those upon whom You have bestowed 1:51 favor. Not of those who have earned 1:55 Your anger. Amen. Praise be to Allah. 2:05 May Allah make it easy for us to 2:07 understand what is being conveyed by 2:09 our teacher. Surah Al-Jathiyah starting 2:12 from verse 16. And We certainly gave 2:20 the Children of Israel the Scripture, 2:26 judgment, and prophethood, and We 2:28 provided them with good things. And We 2:38 provided them with good things and 2:41 favored them over all the worlds. And 2:49 We gave them clear proofs of the matter 2:55 . And they did not differ except after 2:59 the knowledge came to them, out of 3:04 mutual jealousy. Indeed, your Lord will 3:10 judge between them on the Day of 3:12 Resurrection concerning that over which 3:14 they used to differ. Then We put you on 3:25 a clear path concerning the matter, so 3:28 follow it and do not follow the 3:31 inclinations of those who do not know. 3:43 Indeed, they will not avail you at all 3:46 against Allah. And indeed, the 3:51 wrongdoers are allies of each other, 3:58 but Allah is the Protector of the 4:00 righteous. This is a clear insight for 4:07 mankind and a guidance and mercy for a 4:10 people who are certain in faith. Or do 4:19 those who commit evil deeds think We 4:24 will make them like those who have 4:27 believed and done righteous deeds–[ 4:30 making] their life and their death 4:33 equal? Evil is what they judge. Evil is 4:39 what they judge. And Allah created the 4:44 heavens and the earth in truth. And so 4:52 that every soul may be recompensed for 4:54 what it has earned, and they will not 4:56 be wronged. Have you seen he who has 5:03 taken as his god his own desire, and 5:06 Allah has sent him astray due to 5:08 knowledge, and has set a seal upon his 5:13 hearing and his heart, and put over his 5:20 vision a veil? Who then can guide him 5:24 after Allah? Will you not then be 5:29 reminded? Allah the Almighty has spoken 5:33 the truth. Allah the Almighty has 5:39 spoken the truth. And His noble 5:42 Messenger has conveyed the truth, and 5:43 we are upon that. In the name of Allah, 5:50 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 5:52 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the 5:53 worlds. O Allah, send prayers upon 5:56 Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. 5:59 Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah 6:01 . And peace be upon your pure family 6:07 and your noble, honorable companions. 6:11 And those who follow their upright path 6:14 until the Day of Judgment. And peace be 6:17 upon us and upon the righteous servants 6:19 of Allah. And peace be upon you, 6:22 brothers and sisters, believers, and 6:25 may Allah's mercy and blessings be upon 6:28 you. O Allah, grant us mercy from 6:32 Yourself, grant us from Your presence 6:34 beneficial knowledge, benefit us with 6:36 what You have taught us, and increase 6:38 us in knowledge and wisdom. Brothers 6:44 and sisters whom Allah has blessed, 6:48 after Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala 6:51 explained to us at length the state of 6:58 those who love to lie, invent 7:00 falsehoods, and deny the truth. When 7:08 the verses of Allah are recited, it is 7:10 as if they never heard them. They 7:15 continue to follow their own desires. 7:22 With arrogance, they view the truth. 7:26 And they view those who walk upon the 7:28 truth with disdain. They are proud of 7:34 what they possess. They forget the 7:38 blessings and bounties of Allah 7:40 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, who has showered 7:43 them with infinite grace. Their denial 7:49 is not due to ignorance or the lack of 7:53 clarity of the truth, but is caused by 7:56 arrogance and personal desires. After 8:03 that, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala reminds 8:05 the believers to grant forgiveness and 8:08 not to engage with those who are 8:10 rebellious and disbelievers. Because it 8:14 is useless to waste our time with them. 8:18 They will not listen at all to what we 8:21 convey to them. So, face them as if 8:26 they were merely passing wind. But 8:30 convey the truth for those whose hearts 8:34 are open to receive the truth, they 8:37 will welcome it. But for those who are 8:42 arrogant, the truth that is conveyed 8:45 will be God's proof in the hereafter so 8:48 that they cannot claim they had never 8:51 received a warning before. Then after 8:58 that, God tells us an example of the 9:03 Children of Israel who had received 9:06 glory from God. God Subhanahu wa ta'ala 9:10 made prophets and messengers among them 9:13 . The first prophet from the Children 9:19 of Israel was Jacob. He was the first 9:21 to be known by the name Israel. His 9:25 father was Isaac, the son of Abraham. 9:27 Prophets and messengers followed one 9:29 after another. Likewise, his son Joseph 9:33 was also a prophet and messenger. After 9:37 Joseph, we hear many stories and 9:45 accounts of Jacob’s descendants like 9:48 Moses and Aaron, David, Solomon, 9:50 Zechariah, John, until reaching Jesus, 9:53 who was the last prophet and messenger 9:56 of the Children of Israel. God revealed 10:02 the Torah to them. God also revealed 10:06 the Psalms to David. The last book God 10:10 revealed to the Children of Israel was 10:12 the Gospel. Although the Prophet Jesus 10:18 received the Gospel, the Torah remained 10:20 the general guide for all the Children 10:22 of Israel. Be it for Jesus, for 10:26 Zechariah, for John, for David, Solomon 10:28 , as well as for Moses and Aaron. And 10:34 God tells of the glory that God gave to 10:37 the Children of Israel. God made some 10:42 of them leaders, kings, rulers on earth 10:46 , or caliphs on earth. As we hear about 10:52 the stories of David and Solomon, that 10:55 was the peak of the Children of 10:56 Israel's glory. God revealed the holy 11:01 books of the Torah, Psalms, and the 11:04 Gospel. Then how was the attitude of 11:06 the Children of Israel? Some of them 11:08 believed, but the majority of them 11:11 disbelieved. They felt proud of their 11:15 position, of the glory God gave them, 11:17 instead of being grateful for it. Then 11:22 they placed God's verses out of their 11:25 proper context. Even though they knew 11:30 the truth, they argued that they would 11:32 not be touched by the flames of hell 11:34 except for a few days. They also said 11:39 that we are God's beloved children. 11:41 Waqalatil yahudu wan nasara nahnu 11:44 abnaullah wa ahibbauh. Due to their 11:49 disbelief, their violations one after 11:51 another, God Subhanahu wa ta'ala cursed 11:54 some of them into monkeys. Some others 11:58 into swine, as in Surah Al-Ma'idah. 12:00 Wa'ala minhumul qiradata wal khanazir 12:03 wa abadath-thaghut. This is a 12:11 punishment that God imposed upon them. 12:14 In the end, God cursed them through the 12:16 tongue of David and the son of Mary 12:19 because they transgressed boundaries 12:21 and abandoned commanding good and 12:24 forbidding evil. Also collaborating 12:26 with the enemies of God and the enemies 12:29 of the believers. Finally, the noble 12:33 position that God had bestowed upon 12:36 them, He withdrew and transferred to a 12:39 new nation. What happened to the 12:43 Children of Israel? It turns out it 12:44 also happens to the followers of our 12:46 Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi 12:47 wasallam. In their heyday, they held 12:51 firmly to the book of God. They did not 12:55 drift away following their own desires. 12:58 They enjoined good, forbade evil, and 13:00 struggled in the way of Allah. But 13:04 after the passing of our Prophet and 13:06 the Rightly Guided Caliphs, they were 13:08 replaced by kings who altered Allah's 13:10 laws, changed the Prophet’s sunnah, 13:13 and restored the order of ignorance. 13:16 Religion was only followed when it 13:18 aligned with their own desires. If not, 13:22 they cast religion aside and replaced 13:25 it with interpretations that suited 13:29 their whims, while among them were 13:32 corrupt scholars who always stamped 13:36 their crimes and sins with approval. 13:42 Now, let us listen to the explanation 13:45 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala beginning 13:47 from verse 16 of Surah Al-Jathiyah. The 13:52 word Al-Jathiyah means to kneel, 13:56 sitting upon one's knees with total 13:58 humility. And that is the moment when 14:01 those who rebelled and denied will 14:03 kneel before the fires of Hell. A'udhu 14:08 billahi minash-shaytanir-rajim. 14:11 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Rabbana zidna 14:14 'ilman wa alhiqna bissalihin. Walaqad 14:19 atayna bani Isra'ilal-kitaba wal-hukma 14:24 wannubuwata warazaqnahum 14:26 minat-tayyibati wafaddalnahum' alal- ' 14:31 alamin. And indeed, We have bestowed 14:36 upon the Children of Israel the Book. 14:41 The Book that was sent down directly 14:43 from the presence of Allah. Whether it 14:47 be the Torah, the Psalms, or the Gospel 14:50 . Besides the Book, We also bestowed 14:54 upon them authority and laws and rules 14:59 that became the support and pillars of 15:01 their power. Wa-nnubuwah, We also 15:06 granted them prophethood. For the 15:10 descendants of the Children of Israel, 15:13 from Jacob to Jesus. So many prophets 15:16 and messengers were raised by Allah 15:18 from the Children of Israel. 15:23 Warazaqnahum minat-tayyibat. We 15:25 bestowed upon them provisions that were 15:29 tayyib, that were good. They resided in 15:34 a fertile land, in the land where their 15:39 forefathers were born. A region blessed 15:43 by Allah as mentioned in Surah Al-Isra. 15:47 Alladhi barakna hawlahu linuriyahu min 15:50 ayatina. That is the region upon which 15:55 We poured down blessings. Both 15:59 blessings that are physical and those 16:01 that are spiritual. Wafaddalnahum' alal 16:06 - 'alamin. And We bestowed upon them 16:09 various merits,' alal- 'alamin, above 16:11 the people of that time. Yes, in that 16:15 context, the word 16:17 faddala-yufaddilu-tafdilan explains the 16:19 meaning of distinction. Meaning, how 16:22 many gifts of merit did We bestow upon 16:26 the Children of Israel over other 16:29 nations. It did not stop there. 16:33 Wa-ataynahum bayyinatin minal-amri. We 16:37 also granted them explanations and 16:40 clear proofs*minal-amri*that came 16:43 directly from Our side, which 16:45 illuminated their lives and their 16:48 journey; becoming guidance for them 16:51 amidst the favors, gifts, and power 16:54 that Allah granted them. Bayyinatin 17:00 minal-amri. Here the alif-lam acts as a 17:02 substitute for a pronoun. So, 17:05 minal-amri means min amrina. We 17:08 bestowed upon them clarity, explanation 17:12 , yes, guidance, and the clearest signs 17:15 from Our side. No longer from humans, 17:18 but Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala directly 17:21 sent down explanations and illumination 17:24 as guidance for them. With all of this, 17:28 they should have become leaders on the 17:31 face of the earth who attained honor 17:33 from Allah. But what happened? It turns 17:39 out they differed after knowledge had 17:41 come to them. They preferred to follow 17:46 their own desires and abandon the Book 17:48 of Allah. Even after the time of 17:51 Solomon, they turned to learning the 17:53 art of magic. Finally, Allah sent an 17:58 army led by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon 18:01 to destroy them and shatter their glory 18:04 because they abandoned the Book of 18:06 Allah. Just as what is happening to the 18:11 Arab nations at this present time. They 18:14 appear to be countries receiving an 18:16 abundance of Allah's grace with flowing 18:19 oil and the wealth that Allah has 18:22 bestowed upon them. They appear to be 18:26 sovereign nations. Yet, in reality, 18:28 they are puppets in the hands of the 18:30 Zionists and America. We have granted 18:35 them "bayyinatim minal amri"—clear 18:37 evidence from Our command. An 18:40 explanation and clarification that 18:44 comes from Us regarding everything they 18:47 need. "Fama ikhtalafu illa mim ba'di ma 18:52 ja'ahumul' ilmu baghyan bainahum." It 18:58 turns out they differed, and they did 19:02 not differ out of ignorance, but only 19:06 after knowledge came to them that 19:10 provided guidance, direction, and 19:14 explanation from Allah. "Baghyan 19:19 bainahum," the cause is due to base 19:22 desires. Competition among them to 19:27 seize influence, power, and wealth, as 19:31 well as forming factions to consolidate 19:34 their respective power. So, they did 19:39 not differ except after knowledge came 19:41 to them, caused by what? By competition 19:46 , by following their base desires, 19:48 which gave birth to various lifestyles 19:51 far from the guidance of Allah 19:54 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. "Inna Rabbaka 19:59 yaqdi bainahum yaumal qiyamati fima 20:01 kanu fihi yakhtalifun." Indeed, your 20:05 Lord will judge between them on the Day 20:08 of Resurrection regarding that over 20:10 which they used to differ. Just as it 20:15 happened to them, it also happens to 20:17 whom? To us, the Muslims. Allah says, " 20:21 Innaddina 'indallahil Islam." Indeed, 20:26 the only religion accepted, recognized, 20:30 and validated by Allah is Al-Islam. 20:34 Islam is not just a name, but the 20:37 meaning contained within it is total 20:40 submission to Allah. If before them 20:45 there are base desires and Allah's 20:47 guidance, they will only follow the 20:49 guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 20:53 "Innaddina' indallahil Islam, wama 20:55 ikhtalafalladzina utul kitaba illa mim 20:58 ba'di ma ja'ahumul 'ilmu baghyan 21:00 bainahum." And no dispute occurred 21:03 among the People of the Book except 21:05 after knowledge had come to them. "Utul 21:13 kitaba illa mim ba'di ma ja'ahumul' 21:16 ilmu baghyan bainahum..." It turns out 21:22 the reason is their base desires that 21:25 caused them to compete, to differ, to 21:28 argue, and even to shed each other's 21:30 blood. Indeed, your Lord is swift in 21:36 reckoning. Now, what we witness 21:41 happening among the Muslim community is 21:44 not because the Qur'an has vanished, 21:46 not because Allah's guidance has 21:48 disappeared, and not because the 21:51 explanation from Allah is unclear. The 21:54 holy Qur'an is present in their midst. 21:56 Allah commands that when they disagree, 21:58 they should return to the Book of Allah 22:00 , but instead, what happens is they 22:02 adjust the Book of Allah to fit their 22:04 base desires. Various opinions go back 22:08 and forth in the face of the Book of 22:10 Allah. They no longer make the Book of 22:13 Allah their leader; instead, they make 22:15 themselves and their own opinions the 22:17 leader. The Qur'an must submit to them. 22:22 Therefore, those who are far from the 22:24 Quran, who deviate from Allah's 22:26 guidance, who easily divide and even 22:29 declare each other infidels, they say 22:31 we must return to the Quran and Sunnah, 22:34 but according to the understanding of 22:37 the Salaf. Even their Salaf is unclear. 22:41 Because if they refer to the companions 22:43 and the Tabi'in, they also had 22:44 differing opinions. But in the past, 22:47 they remained united in the Book of 22:49 Allah and were open-minded in their 22:52 disagreements. Yet those who came after 22:56 them, claiming to follow the Salaf, 22:58 easily judge and condemn others when 23:01 they disagree. So it is no longer the 23:05 Book of Allah or the Sunnah of the 23:07 Prophet, but they hide behind the name 23:12 of the Salaf to abandon the Book of 23:14 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Even though 23:18 the Book of Allah is the judge. 23:20 Whatever you dispute, you do not need 23:26 to be confused. Return the legal 23:29 decision back to Allah Subhanahu wa 23:31 ta'ala. Then after that, Allah 23:35 Subhanahu wa ta'ala continues. Tumma 23:38 ja'alnaka ala syariatim minal amri 23:44 tumma jaalnaka alari minal amri fatta 23:48 wabi ah. yamun. Then, after the 23:53 Children of Israel, prophet after 23:55 prophet, messenger after messenger were 23:57 sent by Allah, and among the Children 24:00 of Israel, some believed and some 24:02 disbelieved after knowledge came to 24:05 them. Now it is the turn of our 24:08 Prophet's community. Then We placed you 24:12 upon Our sharia. Syariat minal amri 24:16 syariatin min amrina. Then We placed 24:21 you, O Messenger of Allah, upon a path 24:24 or sharia from Us that is bright and 24:26 clear. Because the word sharia 24:29 describes a wide and bright path. 24:32 Fattabiha. O Messenger of Allah, follow 24:35 our aforementioned sharia and guidance. 24:40 Wala tattabi ahwa alladzina laa yalamun 24:42 . And do not ever follow the desires of 24:46 those who do not have knowledge. The 24:51 Prophet was commanded to follow Allah's 24:53 sharia. Then what about us? We should 24:57 also follow Allah's sharia. Not adjust 25:01 the sharia to our own desires. 25:05 And Allah reminds His messenger not to 25:08 follow the desires of those who have no 25:10 knowledge. Because why? Desires are 25:13 changed according to interests, 25:16 according to gains, and everyone has 25:19 different desires and inclinations. Now 25:24 , if we have to follow changing desires 25:26 and abandon the Book of Allah, are we 25:29 not failing to respect Allah's rule, 25:31 and even plunging ourselves into 25:34 uncertainty? And this is what is 25:38 happening in the midst of the Muslim 25:39 community. Even among Islamic scholars, 25:41 they are no longer following the Book 25:43 of Allah, but they are following their 25:46 own desires. Then Allah explains to His 25:50 messenger, and also to all of us. 25:54 Innahum lay yugnu anka minallahian. 25:57 Indeed, whoever they may be, those who 26:02 become followers other than Allah and 26:05 invite others to follow their desires, 26:07 they will not be able to protect or 26:10 save you from Allah at all. Wa inimina 26:16 ba'duhum auliya ba'bin. And indeed, the 26:20 unjust people, whatever their 26:24 background, whatever their school of 26:27 thought, whatever their faction, 26:29 whatever their party, these unjust 26:31 people, some of them will be supporters 26:34 of others. Therefore, there is an 26:38 Arabic proverb often cited by scholars: 26:41 "Disbelief is a single nation." 26:44 Disbelief, whatever its name—whether 26:48 democracy, social—let’s say 26:51 socialism, communism, or capitalism— 26:54 those who follow these paths abandon 26:58 Allah. Even though their names may 27:01 differ, they are all encompassed by 27:03 defiance and disbelief in Allah. 27:07 Therefore, we encounter parties 27:10 competing to seize seats and power. 27:16 They do not heed Allah's warnings at 27:18 all. They ignore Allah's guidance. 27:24 Because each one strives to attain what 27:27 they desire, aligning with their own 27:30 worldly whims. Thus, Allah reminds His 27:34 Messenger, "Indeed, they will never be 27:37 able to protect you or save you." And 27:41 remember, indeed those people— 27:44 whatever their names may be—some of 27:46 them conspire with others. We can see 27:53 how those who sit in power are far from 27:56 the guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa 27:58 ta'ala. Justice, democracy, and even 28:05 Pancasila with its beautiful values, 28:07 are merely empty slogans that hold no 28:10 meaning whatsoever. We also encounter, 28:15 subhanallah, scholars in Arab countries 28:18 , for example. When they are invited to 28:21 struggle in the way of Allah, to help 28:24 their oppressed brothers, they sit idly 28:27 by and start making all sorts of 28:29 excuses. They even hinder people from 28:33 performing jihad, from struggling in 28:34 the way of Allah. They obstruct those 28:38 trying to collect funds to help their 28:40 brothers, claiming we are not obligated 28:43 to assist them. Whereas the Quran 28:46 explicitly commands us to help the 28:49 oppressed, as stated in Surah An-Nisa. 29:02 "Those who say, 'Take us out of this 29:04 city of oppressive people and appoint 29:06 for us from Yourself a protector and 29:08 appoint for us from Yourself a helper,' 29:11 " what is the reason? What is your 29:16 excuse for not fighting in the way of 29:20 Allah to defend the oppressed? Be they 29:25 men, women, or children who are 29:26 screaming and wailing. "Our Lord, take 29:30 us out of this land whose rulers are 29:34 committing injustice and tyranny.""Send 29:38 us a protector and a helper from 29:40 Yourself, O Allah." It turns out that 29:45 the rulers and leaders of Arab nations, 29:48 who enjoy their influence, their power, 29:51 and even have their orders obeyed, lead 29:54 their scholars to say: "Our fatwas are 29:56 derived from our obedience to those in 29:59 authority." 30:03 They alter the verses of Allah. They 30:05 alter the laws of Allah Subhanahu wa 30:08 ta'ala. They prevent people from 30:10 providing aid to their brothers who are 30:13 being persecuted. Even amidst the 30:16 suffering of the people of Gaza, one of 30:19 their scholars held a lavish wedding 30:22 feast, similar to what kings do. We 30:27 distance ourselves from them. May Allah 30:30 not gather us with them. We wish to be 30:35 gathered with those who struggle in the 30:36 way of Allah, who are upright, honest, 30:38 and strive for the establishment of 30:40 justice and humanity. Not like the 30:43 Zionists and those who ally with them, 30:46 who justify any means to achieve their 30:49 goals. Then in the next verse, verse 20 30:55 , Allah firmly establishes the position 30:58 of the Quran. "These are insights [for 31:00 mankind]...""...for the people, and 31:04 guidance and mercy for a people who are 31:06 certain." This is an insight. Bashair 31:08 is the plural of basirah. Usually, 31:11 basirah refers to the eye of the heart, 31:16 the conscience, which is different from 31:21 fickle desires. This conscience is 31:23 embedded within the human soul. If the 31:28 eyes help us see material objects, then 31:31 basirah helps us see with clarity and 31:33 wisdom. Various matters related to 31:39 truth and falsehood. Even if truth is 31:43 concealed, basirah can see it clearly. 31:48 Even if falsehood is wrapped in 31:51 beautiful packaging, those with basirah 31:55 know it is false. Then Allah Subhanahu 31:58 wa ta'ala asserts that the holy Quran 32:01 is bashair, a light that illuminates 32:04 our souls. Even if there is 32:08 falsification here and there, and 32:11 twisting of facts, the Quran is a basir 32:13 for those whose hearts truly follow the 32:16 guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 32:21 And it functions as an unquestionable 32:24 guide and a mercy for those who wish to 32:28 follow it. Warahmatun liquumi yuqinun. 32:32 And a mercy for those who truly have 32:37 conviction in their hearts. Desires 32:42 will never produce conviction because 32:45 they are fickle. Today it's A, tomorrow 32:49 it's B. But truth is what will instill 32:51 conviction in the human heart. So, the 32:58 Quran, in the midst of chaotic life, 33:02 amidst ambiguity and darkness, is a 33:06 basir and also a guide and mercy for 33:11 those who have conviction in their 33:14 hearts. Then Allah poses a question 33:18 with disbelief and mockery. Am 33:22 hasibadinaatialahum kalladina amanu 33:27 wail shihati sawa mahyahum mahakumun. 33:34 Do those who commit evil deeds—do 33:39 those who commit crimes think we will 33:47 treat them the same as those who 33:49 believe and do righteous deeds, in 33:52 their life and in their death? Allah 33:57 asks, is it possible that we would 34:00 equate those steeped in sin and crime 34:03 with those who believe and do righteous 34:07 deeds, both in life and in death? Saama 34:12 yahkumun. How evil is what they judge. 34:17 Some people often tell stories derived 34:20 from Israiliyat narrations, that the 34:22 Prophet, when passing away, was in a 34:25 difficult state, full of suffering, 34:30 with the reason being, for what? To 34:34 lighten the burden of death for the 34:35 believers and his followers. The 34:39 Prophet spent his life struggling in 34:40 the path of Allah, 34:42 going through various trials, 34:44 overcoming various heavy obstacles. 34:48 Then at the time of his passing, would 34:50 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala treat him the 34:53 same as those who commit crimes? Hasya 34:56 lillah (Far be it from Allah). Allah 34:58 Subhanahu wa ta'ala welcomes him. The 35:02 Messenger also, with great longing, 35:04 wished to return to Allah. Therefore, 35:08 he did not feel it as a burden. As for 35:11 the stories that depict his suffering, 35:13 these are all Israiliyat tales. 35:16 Therefore, in Surah An-Nahl, Allah says 35:18 , "Innalladina tawaahumul malaikatu 35:21 thibin yaquuna salamun alaikum udkul 35:23 jannata bima kuntum tamalun." Indeed, 35:29 those whom Allah takes in death as pure 35:33 , in a good and beautiful state, the 35:36 angels greet them saying, "Peace be 35:39 upon you, enter Paradise because of 35:42 what you used to do." I have witnessed 35:49 with my own eyes ordinary people who 35:51 simply loved to do good deeds and 35:53 donate to build mosques. Doing acts of 35:56 kindness. 35:58 When they passed away, it was as if 36:01 they were just falling asleep while 36:04 sitting. 36:06 They recited a verse, and then, just 36:08 like that, they died without any 36:10 suffering at all. There are even some 36:13 people who passed away while giving a 36:15 final testament to their children. He 36:17 then said, "It has now reached Father's 36:19 knees." He continued his testament 36:21 shortly after. He said, "It has now 36:23 reached my navel." Then he continued 36:27 his testament until it reached his 36:29 chest, and he said this was his final 36:32 word and testament. He recited "La 36:35 ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasulullah" and 36:37 passed away at that very moment. 36:40 So, do not scare people. If those who 36:44 are defiant and disbelievers fear that 36:45 moment, it is appropriate. But for the 36:48 believers who yearn for Allah Subhanahu 36:51 wa ta'ala, that is the most beautiful 36:55 moment when Allah calls them to gather 36:58 with His beloved ones. Therefore, 37:01 whoever yearns for Allah, Allah also 37:03 yearns for them. But whoever hates to 37:06 meet Allah because of their love for 37:09 the world, Allah also hates the 37:12 encounter with them. Allah’s welcome 37:16 differs between those who love Him and 37:20 those who are reluctant to leave this 37:24 worldly life. Then Allah emphasizes 37:28 that this life is not a game. But Allah 37:31 created the heavens and the earth and 37:33 created us, gave us intellect, sent His 37:35 messengers, and revealed His books. 37:37 This illustrates the seriousness of 37:39 this life. Walaqallahus samawati wal 37:43 ard bilhaq. And Allah Subhanahu wa 37:47 ta'ala created the heavens and the 37:48 earth bilhaq—with purpose, not in 37:50 vain. Walitujza kullu nafsin bima 37:54 kasabat wahum la yudlamun. And also to 37:58 recompense every soul according to what 38:01 it has earned, and they will not be 38:03 wronged in the slightest. So, Allah's 38:07 recompense is according to what they 38:08 have strived for in their lives. Thus, 38:11 those who believe in Allah and struggle 38:13 in His path are not the same as those 38:15 who follow their own desires. Now, as a 38:20 conclusion to our study this morning, 38:24 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala invites us to 38:28 look at one scene. A scene of people 38:33 whose hearts are blinded, whose ears 38:36 are covered and plugged. Likewise, 38:38 their vision is covered from the truth. 38:41 What acts as a cover for their hearts, 38:44 their hearing, and their sight is their 38:46 own desires. Afara'ayta manittakhadha 38:51 ilahahu hawah. Have you ever seen 38:55 someone who makes his own desire his 38:59 god? Whose following, reference, value 39:05 system, life balance, and focus is his 39:08 own desire. Have you ever seen someone 39:14 who makes his own desire his god? 39:17 Wa'adalahullahu 'ala' ilmin. Allah lets 39:20 him go astray, not out of ignorance, 39:22 but 'ala' ilmin. After knowledge has 39:25 reached him. So Allah lets him go 39:30 astray 'ala' ilmin, not 'ala jahlin, 39:32 not out of ignorance, but' ala 'ilmin. 39:37 Knowing. At a time when he is aware of 39:40 what is right and what is wrong. But 39:43 because he follows his desires, making 39:46 them his god, he is turned away from 39:48 the truth. Wakhtama' ala sam'ihi 39:52 waqalbihi. And Allah seals his hearing 39:54 and his heart. Likewise with his heart. 39:58 Wamalawah. And Allah also places a veil 40:04 that covers his eyesight. Now, if his 40:08 hearing is sealed, his heart is sealed, 40:10 and so is his vision, then naturally he 40:12 will be in a state of blindness. 40:16 The light that comes from Allah can no 40:18 longer be absorbed. Because why? His 40:21 worldly desires cover his eyes, his 40:23 hearing, and his heart as well. Then 40:26 Allah asks, "Faman yahdihi min 40:28 ba'dillah?""Who else has the power to 40:31 guide a person like this after Allah 40:33 Subhanahu wa ta'ala has abandoned him?" 40:38 Afala tadakarun. Can you not take a 40:43 lesson from all of this? How long do we 40:47 live? Whether it is the head of state, 40:51 ministers, representatives, or ordinary 40:54 citizens, the scholars or the ignorant, 40:57 everyone will stand before Allah. Do 41:01 not let people assume that those who 41:03 are knowledgeable or those who have 41:04 memorized the Quran will definitely be 41:05 saved. That is not possible. They have 41:08 the heaviest reckoning because they did 41:10 not act according to their knowledge 41:11 and did not convey the messages of 41:13 Allah. Instead, they always propagate 41:15 their own desires. 41:17 They even place themselves in the 41:19 position of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 41:23 They easily declare people destined for 41:24 hell. They put whomever they wish into 41:27 heaven. They do not know that they will 41:30 eventually be among those who receive 41:32 Allah's judgment based on their 41:35 attitudes and deeds. These verses are a 41:37 very clear warning from Allah. If we 41:41 disregard Allah's warnings and guidance 41:44 , let us not regret it in the hereafter 41:47 . Thus, brothers and sisters who are 41:51 blessed by Allah, this is our morning 41:54 reflection with Radio Silaturahmi, 41:57 which invites all the people to unite, 42:00 be brotherly, and gather as fellow 42:02 siblings as an 'umatan wahidah', which 42:05 is a community that submits itself to 42:08 Allah. Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik 42:12 ashadu alla ilahailla anta astagfiruka 42:14 wa atubu ilaik walu minkum. 42:17 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 42:19 wabarakatuh. 42:21 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 42:22 wabarakatuh. Alhamdulillah, earlier we 42:24 listened to the reflection on the Quran 42:26 , Surah Al-Jathiya, from verse 16 to 42:29 verse 23. Alhamdulillah, thank you 42:30 Ustaz Husein. Hopefully, we gain and 42:32 increase the strength of our faith. 42:35 Alright, thank you, Muhammad Krishna 42:37 and Algi, and we also bid farewell. 42:39 Wabillahi taufik. 42:41 Warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 42:43 Alhamdulillah.
