Praise be to Allah, we 3:58 once again offer our praise and 4:00 gratitude to the presence of Allah the 4:03 Almighty, who always pours out His 4:05 favors and grace upon us, especially 4:08 the blessing of faith and Islam, the 4:10 blessing of health, the blessing of a 4:13 long life in obedience, including the 4:15 blessing of being brought together this 4:18 afternoon to fulfill our duty as 4:20 Muslims to seek knowledge. And God 4:25 willing, this afternoon we will 4:27 continue our study from last week 4:30 regarding the agony of death. Hopefully 4:36 , what we study and discuss, Allah will 4:40 provide and make it beneficial 4:43 knowledge for us in this world and the 4:46 hereafter. May prayers and peace always 4:50 be poured out upon our Prophet Muhammad 4:53 , may Allah bless him and grant him 4:55 peace, along with his family, his 4:57 companions, his followers, and those 4:59 who practice his Sunnah. Listeners of 5:03 Radio Silaturahim. And viewers of Rasil 5:06 TV, may Allah have mercy on you. 5:08 Regarding that there are four obstacles 5:15 , four dangers that will be faced by 5:18 humans. First is the agony of death. 5:25 The pain of having the soul extracted. 5:29 The second is seeing the form of the 5:33 Angel of Death, which is truly very 5:36 terrifying. His appearance is such that 5:41 even Prophet Ibrahim, who was titled 5:43 the Father of Prophets and Father of 5:45 Monotheism, fainted upon seeing him. 5:50 When he saw the form of the Angel of 5:52 Death while he was taking the soul of 5:54 an unbeliever or a disobedient person. 5:59 And we already discussed this last week 6:04 , so now we are on to the third danger. 6:10 The third danger. Well, it relates to 6:17 the second one, that what we might see 6:20 is not just the face of the Angel of 6:23 Death, but also the faces of Munkar and 6:27 Nakir. Yes, the angels Munkar and Nakir 6:32 will also reveal their forms when our 6:34 souls are being taken. So, what do they 6:39 look like? It depends, and what is said 6:43 and done by these two angels depends on 6:48 who the deceased is. Uh, if the 6:58 deceased is a person of faith, a 7:03 righteous person, then the angels Raqib 7:09 and Atid will say, "May Allah reward 7:15 you with goodness for every gathering." 7:29 Yes, if Raqib and Atid encounter 7:33 someone whose soul is being taken, who 7:37 is righteous, they both say, "May Allah 7:41 grant you the best reward," uh, uh, 7:47 what is it, from us to you. Yes. Yes. 7:53 How often you have brought me to a 7:56 gathering, brought me to a gathering 8:00 that conveys the truth, to a gathering 8:04 of knowledge. So, angels are very happy 8:09 when we sit in a gathering of knowledge 8:12 , in a religious study group, right. 8:15 The angels Raqib and Atid are with us. 8:18 They are happy, they are pleased. So, 8:24 when we pass away, they will pray for 8:28 us because we often brought them to 8:32 gatherings that uphold the truth. The 8:39 same applies when we give charity, when 8:42 we help others. The angels Raqib and 8:45 Atid are right there with us. Yes, 8:48 brought along by us. So they pray for 8:51 us again. These angelic prayers will 8:55 certainly be very pleasing and 8:57 comforting to the person whose soul is 8:59 being taken. And that can reduce the 9:04 pain of the soul being taken. 9:09 Conversely, if it is a wicked person, 9:12 then these angels do not pray like that 9:15 . La jazakallah khairon majlisin 9:21 ajlastanain kama as’amtana 9:28 as’akallah. May Allah not reward you 9:34 with goodness from us. Because you 9:41 often brought us and placed us in evil 9:46 gatherings. You brought unrighteous 9:52 deeds, you took us along when you did 9:56 bad things. Likewise, when you spoke 10:01 bad things, may Allah not reward you 10:04 with goodness. Now, of course, this 10:08 prayer also makes, what do you call it? 10:12 It makes them sad and will add to the 10:15 pain of having their soul taken. Now, 10:19 we are left with the third one, which 10:22 is witnessing the seat prepared in 10:25 Hellfire. Meaning, the wicked will 10:35 witness their place in Hell. Yes. So, 10:42 when their soul is being taken, they 10:48 will be shown Hell. Just imagine it. In 10:57 the, uh, hadith, in the hadith, "No one 11:01 among you shall leave this world until 11:02 he is shown his place in Hell." Until 11:09 he sees it. From paradise, the 11:18 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 11:23 said: "No one among you shall leave 11:27 this world, departing from this world, 11:32 without first knowing where he will 11:37 return and seeing his place, whether it 11:42 be Paradise or Hell." Now, listeners of 11:47 Hadiah Silaturahim who are blessed by 11:49 Allah subhanahu wa taala. The other day 11:53 , last week, I mentioned, that the 11:59 realm we currently inhabit is called 12:01 the realm of Mulk, or the realm of 12:03 Shahadah. The realm of Mulk or the 12:06 realm of Shahadah. Beyond this realm, 12:09 there is another called the realm of 12:11 Malakut. Now, Allah has gifted us with 12:16 two types of vision. The physical 12:21 vision is called 'bashar'. Then, the 12:24 inner vision is called 'basirah', which 12:27 we often refer to as the eyes of the 12:30 heart. Now, this 'bashar' can see the 12:36 realm of Shahadah, the world we inhabit 12:39 , under two conditions. One is that it 12:43 is not far away. The second is, what is 12:46 it called? There must be no veil. Yes, 12:50 there is no veil, but this 'bashar' 12:52 cannot see the realm of Malakut. Now, 12:58 what can see the realm of Malakut is 13:01 the 'basirah', our heart's eye. The 13:05 condition is that there is no veil. Yes 13:10 , distance, whether far or near, has no 13:13 effect. For the 'basirah', there is no 13:17 difference between far and near. Now, 13:20 why is that? Because the walls and all 13:23 the objects in this world do not act as 13:26 veils. Then what is the veil for this ' 13:31 basirah'? The veil is, first of all, 13:35 hubbud dunya, which is the love of the 13:38 world. Yes, the love for worldly 13:42 pleasures. Now, let us listeners 13:47 observe how the Messenger of Allah, 13:49 peace be upon him, explains this. If 13:54 you see someone whose soul is being 13:57 taken, close their eyes while reciting 14:01 'Bismillah wa ala millati Rasulillah' 14:05 or 'wa ala sunnati Rasulillah'. Because 14:10 the eyes follow the direction where the 14:13 soul, what do you call it? Is being 14:17 taken or departing. Yet, in the Quran, 14:21 Allah explains, "wa yas'alunaka 14:24 anir-ruh". They ask you, Muhammad, 14:28 about the soul. Say, the soul is a 14:33 matter of my Lord. You have not been 14:39 given knowledge about it, about the 14:41 soul, except for a little. And because 14:47 the soul is something unseen, our eyes 14:49 cannot possibly see it. Yes, our ' 14:54 basirah' also cannot see the soul. Now, 14:58 it's impossible to see what the soul is 15:01 like. But the Prophet said that when 15:04 the soul is taken, we can see it. How 15:07 can that be? To be able to see it. Well 15:12 , because when a person's soul is taken 15:14 , their hubbud dunya, their love of the 15:16 world, vanishes. There is no more love 15:20 for the world. Yes. Exactly. Consider 15:27 when Sheikh Shaqiq was visited, invited 15:30 by King Harun al-Rashid. Then King 15:36 Harun al-Rashid asked him for advice. 15:40 He said, "Your Majesty, if you were in 15:44 the middle of a desert and felt an 15:48 extreme thirst, such that you were 15:52 certain you would die if you did not 15:56 drink immediately. Then someone brought 16:01 you water. Yes, maybe a glass of water 16:05 like we have now." Hmm. No, he will 16:11 only give it to you. If you want to 16:14 exchange it, by paying with half of 16:17 your kingdom. What would you do? King 16:22 Rasul said, "I will pay. I will trade 16:27 that glass of water for half of my 16:30 kingdom." Imagine that. Then, if after 16:37 you drink it, you find that you cannot 16:40 pass the water—you cannot urinate. 16:45 It's just like that. Even though you 16:48 need to go, you simply can't. Think of 16:51 the pain. Then someone comes along 16:56 offering to cure you, to help you pass 17:00 that water, for the price of half or 17:04 the rest of your kingdom. What would 17:08 you do? He would say, "I will give the 17:12 rest of my kingdom." Well, that is why 17:16 you should not be arrogant. Because 17:20 your kingdom is only worth a gulp of 17:23 water that is then released. It means 17:28 that this life is far more meaningful 17:30 and precious than all the wealth we 17:32 possess. Yes, if people could redeem 17:38 their deaths with their wealth, they 17:43 would, because life is truly invaluable 17:48 . Yes, indeed. So now, when the love of 17:57 the world fades away, let me tell you, 18:01 I remember in 2019 during Umrah, when I 18:06 was on the flight home, the plane hit 18:10 some turbulence. It's common when 18:14 entering clouds to experience some 18:17 shaking and rumbling. Now, for people 18:21 who are new to flying, they were 18:24 already terrified. In that state of 18:28 fear, what comes out? Not a single 18:32 person mentions their bank accounts, 18:34 their families, their children, their 18:36 wives, or their wealth. None of that. 18:40 What comes out of their mouths is " 18:42 Allahu Akbar,""La ilaha illallah,"" 18:44 Astagfirullah." All sorts of words of 18:46 remembrance. Yes, so I said, this is 18:50 what Allah meant. "Ala bidikrillah 18:54 tatmainnul qulub.""Verily, in the 18:57 remembrance of Allah do hearts find 18:59 rest." Yes. So, unconsciously, they 19:04 realize and feel a sense of peace, or 19:08 at least it reduces their fear when 19:12 they mention the name of Allah 19:15 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Not by mentioning 19:19 their wealth, their children, their 19:21 wives, and so on. And that wasn't even 19:25 at the moment of death. What if it were 19:28 the moment their soul was being taken? 19:31 Even if one sleeps on a bed of dollars 19:34 or uses pearls as a pillow, when the 19:36 soul is being taken, they will not 19:38 remember any of that. When the heart's 19:43 attachment to worldly wealth and to 19:46 this world disappears, the veil is 19:49 lifted. And because that veil is lifted 19:55 , we can see the realm of the unseen, 20:00 the Malakut. So it becomes visible. 20:04 That is why the Prophet could see 20:06 spirits. That is also why the Messenger 20:10 could see two people being punished in 20:13 their graves when a companion asked, "O 20:16 Messenger of Allah, where are my 20:18 parents?""Are they in heaven or hell?" 20:21 And the Messenger replied, "In hell." 20:24 Because the Prophet did not see an 20:27 angel whispering, "O Muhammad, tell him 20:30 he is in hell." It wasn't like that. So 20:33 why did the Prophet Muhammad see it? 20:36 Because the Prophet's inner vision, his 20:38 basirah, had no more veils between him 20:40 and the angelic realm. Yes. There were 20:44 no more veils. Now, is this something 20:48 exclusive to the Prophet? No, it is not 20:52 the same. We can also achieve it, as 20:57 long as the love of the world is 21:00 removed from within us. The second 21:05 thing is that the veil is sin. Yes, sin 21:10 . So, the Prophet could see it. Why? 21:15 Because the Prophet's sins had already 21:17 been forgiven by Allah. Right. "What 21:20 has passed of your sin and what will 21:22 come." Yes, the past sins, and if the 21:26 Prophet were to commit a sin, Allah had 21:29 already prepared forgiveness for him. 21:33 So there is no sin. Because there is no 21:36 sin, there is no veil for the Prophet's 21:39 inner vision, allowing him to see the 21:41 angelic realm. Yes, the Prophet even 21:46 said that later in the future, at the 21:49 end of time, that humans would be like 21:55 this and that; it was not a prophecy. 21:58 It was truly what would happen, which 22:00 was seen by the Prophet sallallahu 22:02 alaihi wasallam. Why? Because there was 22:05 no veil; it was not a prophecy. What is 22:08 called a prophecy might be true, or it 22:10 might not. But this is musyahadah. 22:13 Direct observation. Now, the third 22:17 thing that can act as a veil is 22:20 ta'assub or asobiyah, which is 22:23 fanaticism. Fanaticism for a school of 22:26 thought, for a group, or for a scholar. 22:29 That is why I often say, be fanatical 22:31 about Islam. Yes. Yes. Be fanatical 22:34 about Islam. But do not be fanatical 22:36 about a school of thought. Because that 22:38 can become, what do you call it? It 22:41 becomes a veil, yes. Not long ago, 22:46 there was an incident in Pemalang, 22:49 where there was a clash between the PWI 22:53 and FPI, leading to some people having 22:57 to be treated for their injuries, both 23:01 from FPI and PWI. Likewise with the 23:06 police. Now, people who are pro-FPI 23:11 will naturally say that PWI is the one 23:14 in the wrong. Conversely, if someone is 23:19 pro-PWI, they will say the troublemaker 23:22 is FPI. Yes, it's just like that. If a 23:29 Chinese person fights with a native, 23:32 who will the listeners side with? When 23:36 I asked the congregation, they said, " 23:39 With the natives, Ustadz.""That is who 23:42 we are." That is our fanaticism. Now, 23:47 dear congregation, Islam does not teach 23:51 us that. That is why the Prophet said, 23:55 "Lau anna Fatimata binta Muhammadin 23:57 saraqat laqata'tu yada-ha." If Fatimah, 24:01 the daughter of Muhammad, were to steal 24:03 , I would cut off her hand. Wow. That 24:07 means it is not about which group, 24:09 faction, or school of thought one 24:12 belongs to, but about the actions 24:15 themselves. If the PWI people are in 24:20 the right, the NU people must admit if 24:23 the PWI is wrong. And it should be the 24:28 same for FPI as well. If the PWI are 24:31 the ones in the right, then they are 24:33 right, and the FPI are wrong. Yes, so 24:37 it’s not about which group you belong 24:40 to, but what it is that they have done. 24:45 Now, this is, may Allah have mercy on 24:48 you, regarding what was mentioned 24:51 before? Hijab. So, may Allah have mercy 24:56 on you. When a person's soul is taken, 25:02 Allah will show them where they will 25:05 return, and they will see the place 25:08 that will be their dwelling, whether it 25:12 is Paradise or Hell. Long ago, the 25:19 Prophet Isa, peace be upon him, sent 25:22 two messengers to the land of Antioch. 25:26 One was named Yunus, and the second was 25:29 named Yahya. On their way, they met a 25:34 man named Habib an-Najjar. Yes. Now, 25:38 this Habib had a child. The child did 25:43 not have eye sockets. Not only did he 25:45 not have eyes, he didn't even have eye 25:47 sockets. Then he said, "If you truly 25:52 are messengers from Allah, a Prophet 25:56 must have a miracle." Therefore, show 26:00 me a miracle. If you can show it, then 26:04 I will believe. Yes. Okay. They brought 26:09 him. Then both of them prayed to Allah 26:13 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. In the end, the 26:16 child not only had sockets but also had 26:19 eyes. Finally, Habib believed. 26:25 Furthermore, Habib heard that Yunus and 26:30 Yahya were arrested and tortured. So he 26:36 wanted to defend the people who led him 26:40 to receive guidance from Allah. Then he 26:44 was arrested. He was arrested and 26:47 considered a traitor and an apostate. 26:51 So Habib was dragged and beaten. 26:57 Imagine how painful it was to be 27:00 dragged and beaten at the same time. 27:05 Because of that, Allah appeared to help 27:07 him. Yes, Allah showed him Paradise. 27:13 That is why Habib said, "Ya layta qawmi 27:15 ya'lamun.""Bima ghafara li rabbi""wa 27:22 ja'alani minal mukramin." Yes, perhaps 27:25 for us, it means, "O Allah, if only my 27:30 people knew what Allah has done for me, 27:35 forgiving my sins and honoring me by 27:40 showing me Paradise." Seeing the 27:45 extraordinary bliss of Paradise caused 27:49 his pain to vanish while his soul was 27:53 being taken. Yes, when Siti Zulaikha 28:00 was bullied by the wives of officials 28:05 because she had seduced or was tempted 28:10 by Prophet Yusuf, whom they knew to be 28:14 a servant or slave. They were 28:21 astonished, for in their view, how 28:25 could the beautiful wife of a king be 28:29 captivated by a servant or a slave. 28:36 While in their minds, how handsome 28:40 could a servant be? What kind of 28:46 education would a servant or slave have 28:49 , that she could be so smitten? Yes, 28:53 like that. If this were today and there 28:57 were cellphones, Siti Zulaikha would 29:00 have been bullied mercilessly. Because 29:05 of that, Siti Zulaikha wanted to 29:10 retaliate so they would know. Because 29:15 they did not know who and what Prophet 29:17 Yusuf looked like. So they were called 29:21 and invited to a meal. This was a very 29:26 good deed, inviting them to eat. Yes, 29:31 once they arrived, they were each given 29:35 an appetizer, which was an apple. As 29:39 they were peeling, uh, what is it 29:42 called? Apples, Siti Zulaikha then had 29:46 Prophet Yusuf walk past them. As soon 29:51 as Prophet Yusuf walked by, they all 29:53 looked, and they were mesmerized by 29:55 Prophet Yusuf's handsomeness. "Amma 29:59 roainahu akbarnahu waqatha'na 30:01 aidiyahunna wa qulna hasya lillahi ma 30:04 hadza basyaran in hadza illa malakun 30:07 karim." When those women saw Prophet 30:13 Yusuf, they were mesmerized by his 30:16 beauty, to the point that they didn't 30:19 realize they were no longer peeling 30:22 apples, but were actually cutting and 30:25 slicing their own hands. And when they 30:31 sliced their hands, they didn't feel 30:33 any pain. Why? Because of the joy of 30:38 seeing the face of Allah's Prophet, 30:39 Yusuf, peace be upon him. Yes, it was 30:43 so delightful that they felt nothing. 30:46 So, joy can indeed eliminate pain. This 30:51 is an honor from Allah for the 30:54 believers later. The pain of having 30:58 one's soul taken is truly immense, but 31:00 Allah reveals something. First, the 31:02 appearance of the Angel of Death. Who 31:06 is extraordinarily handsome. Second, 31:11 they are also shown 500 angels who each 31:16 bring good news. The news brought by 31:22 the first angel is different from the 31:25 second, and so on. Certainly, this joy 31:29 and pleasure will reduce the pain of 31:32 the soul being taken. And this is also 31:37 what is meant by "man ahabba liqa Allah 31:39 ahabballahu liqaahu." Whoever desires 31:44 to meet Allah, Allah also desires to 31:47 meet him. Whoever dislikes meeting 31:50 Allah, Allah also dislikes meeting him. 31:52 What does that mean? When the good news 31:57 is delivered by 500 angels, then the 31:59 prayers from the Raqib and Atid angels, 32:03 and then they are shown Paradise. Then 32:08 this, congregation of Allah, makes the 32:12 person happy so that they really want 32:17 to die immediately. Now, when someone 32:21 wants to die immediately, it means they 32:23 want to meet Allah soon, right? So the 32:27 understanding of "man ahabba liqa Allah 32:28 " is not like it is now. Everyone is 32:32 afraid of dying, who wouldn't be? Yes, 32:36 it means later, sir, at the end of life 32:38 . Yes, at the end of life. So, look at 32:44 how the women didn't feel the pain. Why 32:52 ? Because of the joy of gazing upon the 32:55 face of Allah's Prophet, Yusuf. If you, 33:00 the listeners, go to the mountain or 33:03 somewhere and step on glass or a stake, 33:07 causing your foot to bleed, naturally 33:10 when you walk, you will surely limp. 33:14 Why? To compensate for that pain, right 33:19 ? Yes, you will limp. But if at that 33:24 moment you see a tiger approaching you, 33:28 and you are terrified and run, will you 33:32 still limp? It is certain that the limp 33:37 will disappear. Why? Because the pain 33:41 suffered in the foot will no longer be 33:44 felt. You won't even see the thorny 33:47 trees or thorny plants; you'll just 33:49 crash through everything. And that pain 33:51 will not be felt at that moment. Why? 33:54 Because there is something liked by him 33:56 that is deeply cherished, which is 33:59 salvation. So that love and fondness, 34:03 that pleasure, will eliminate the pain. 34:07 This is Allah's defense for those who 34:09 believe. Ah. Now, conversely, for those 34:15 who are disbelievers, what is shown to 34:18 them is hell. It is bad enough to see 34:22 the terrifying form of the angels and 34:25 the pain of the soul being pulled out. 34:29 Then 500 angels come to frighten them. 34:33 Plus, they are now shown hell. Wow, 34:36 even before reaching the hereafter, 34:38 that is already an extraordinary 34:40 torment. Now, then uh the next one or 34:59 the fourth one, which is uh the fourth 35:03 disaster or danger, and this is the 35:06 greatest, is su'ul khatimah. A bad end 35:11 to life. This is what is feared most by 35:16 all the saints of Allah. Now, listeners 35:21 of this gathering, that is why there 35:25 are many prayers for husnul khatimah. 35:31 For example, in the Ratib, there is "Ya 35:33 Allah biha, ya Allah biha, ya Allah bi 35:35 husnil khatimah." Or, back when I was 35:40 young in my village, we would chant 35:43 praises before the iqamah. O Allah, my 35:47 Lord, I ask for my life to be steadfast 35:57 . O Allah, my Lord. O Allah, my Lord, I 36:06 ask, for my death to be a good end. 36:15 Those chants and praises, if deeply 36:18 felt, can make us weep. That is a form 36:21 of supplication to Allah. A prayer for 36:24 a steadfast life and a good ending upon 36:28 death. Now, that is good. But what is 36:34 even better is not just words, but 36:37 concrete action. Yes, concrete action 36:42 is the most important. What kind of 36:45 concrete action? I once led a group of 36:50 pilgrims before the Cipali toll road 36:53 existed. When we were heading back 36:56 towards Jakarta on the Cikampek toll 36:59 road. Now, at that time, Maghrib had 37:03 already arrived. Then I said to the 37:08 pilgrims, "Let's stop by the rest area 37:11 to pray jam 'takdim, Maghrib and Isha." 37:17 Then there was one of the ladies who 37:19 said, "I won't get off, we can just 37:21 make it up at home," she said, even 37:23 though she was already sweating. So she 37:28 felt certain that she would live until 37:32 she got home, right? And because she 37:36 already intended to perform the qada 37:38 later. But she did not worry about what 37:42 would happen if an accident occurred 37:45 and she died. Now, this is it, this is 37:48 it. If, for example, it turns out the 37:51 other pilgrims were praying, but she 37:53 didn't pray. Then as soon as they left, 37:56 an accident happened and she died. She 37:59 died with the intention of having 38:01 abandoned the Maghrib prayer. Wouldn't 38:05 that lead to a bad ending, su'ul 38:07 khatimah? This is what we must guard 38:10 against, brothers and sisters. This is 38:13 what must be paid attention to. 38:15 Conversely, for those who prayed first, 38:18 especially having finished the prayer, 38:21 our souls are at peace. If an accident 38:26 were to happen, we would still be in a 38:29 state of purity. Yes, Sheikh Nawawi 38:33 Al-Bantani, in his book*Nurud-Dalam*, 38:36 he was asked, "Is it true, Sheikh, that 38:39 Angel Jibril—isn't Angel Jibril's 38:42 duty to deliver revelation to..."... 38:51 right? "Does Angel Jibril still descend 38:54 to this earth?" He replied, "Yes, he 38:57 still descends.""When does he descend? 39:02 When a person dies in a state of 39:04 taharah, in a state of purity. Then 39:08 Gabriel will come down from heaven 39:11 bringing a shroud and bringing, what is 39:14 it called? He brings, uh, some cotton. 39:19 Then Gabriel will bathe the corpse. 39:24 Gabriel will shroud it with the cloth 39:26 he brought from heaven. Gabriel will 39:29 then perform the funeral prayer for the 39:31 body. Gabriel will carry it to the 39:33 grave. And when everyone returns home, 39:38 Gabriel stays with the deceased inside 39:42 the grave. Subhanallah. That is truly 39:47 an extraordinary honor that Allah 39:49 bestows upon them. Yes, that is how it 39:52 is, listeners of Silaturahim. This is 39:55 what we call his efforts. Likewise, 39:59 when we are sick, often when people are 40:01 sick, their faith also becomes ill and 40:04 they stop praying. They stop praying. 40:11 Even though in fiqh, it has been 40:14 explained that what did the Prophet say 40:19 ," If you are unable to stand, pray 40:24 while sitting. If you are also unable 40:29 to sit, then lie down as much as you 40:35 can. "If you cannot lie on your right 40:39 side, then lie on your back. La 40:43 yukallifullahu nafsan illa wus'aha. 40:47 Allah does not burden a soul beyond its 40:50 capacity. How can you manage? The 40:54 important thing is not to ignore or 40:57 belittle this mercy. This is what is 41:01 feared, that it might lead to a bad 41:02 ending, suul khatimah. That is the 41:04 important point. So, listeners of 41:09 Silaturahim, that is the danger that 41:13 humans will face. But for believers, 41:20 Subhanallah, how great is the honor 41:23 that Allah gives to those who are 41:26 obedient to Him. May Allah SWT include 41:32 us among the obedient, among the auliya 41:37 Allah, the beloved friends of Allah, so 41:41 that we may receive honor and respect 41:45 from Allah SWT. Amin ya rabbal alamin. 41:51 This is all I can share this afternoon, 41:54 and God willing, next week I will 41:58 convey the signs of a good death and 42:01 the signs of a bad death. Wallahu a'lam 42:05 . Well, alhamdulillah, we have listened 42:09 together, brothers and sisters, to the 42:11 afternoon lecture with Ustaz Ahmad 42:13 Zazuli Kholil, discussing the theme of 42:15 the agony of death, the second session 42:17 this afternoon. We will return after 42:19 the break, and we are still waiting for 42:22 those who want to join or ask questions 42:24 , please call 0811999720. We welcome 42:28 you back. For those still with us, 42:46 brothers and sisters, on the afternoon 42:48 lecture program with Ustaz Ahmad Zuzuli 42:50 Kholil, with the theme regarding the 42:53 agony of death. We have listened 42:55 together, and Ustaz, many have joined 42:58 via WhatsApp to greet us this afternoon 43:01 and to ask questions. Here is Mr. 43:03 Pratikno, who is listening via Radio 43:05 Rasil. Thank you, Ustaz, for the advice 43:07 and the lecture. Mrs. Rukmini, Mr. 43:10 Edwin Saleh, and Mr. Baron Betawi, 43:13 thank you for listening; they say they 43:16 are tuning in to Radio Rasil. Also Mr. 43:19 Abdul Rasyid, Mrs. Nanai Fatimah, Mrs. 43:23 Ida in Bekasi, Mr. Mugi Jumana, and 43:26 Mrs. Ani Sani Hudaifa who are always 43:29 listening to the secrets. Thank you. 43:32 There is also Mrs. Tati, Mr. Kamidi, 43:34 Mrs. Sri, Abu Abdillah, Mr. Sumantri, 43:37 who are also watching via the Rasil 43:39 stream, Mr. Syaian Rohili, Imam Pratomo 43:42 , Mrs. Retno, SW, Mr. Anwar, and many 43:44 more. First, I will read a question 43:47 that came from Mr. Anwar," Ustaz, 43:50 assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 43:52 wabarakatuh. "" Waalaikumsalam 43:54 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. "" Ustaz, 43:56 it is said that a person will pass away 43:59 in a state consistent with their habits 44:02 . "" For example, someone accustomed to 44:05 going to places of vice will die in a 44:06 place of vice. "" And vice versa. "" Is 44:09 that true, Ustaz? "" That is all. " 44:12 Well, bismillahirrahmanirrahim. That is 44:17 true, what is said is indeed the case. 44:23 It also applies if you are accustomed 44:25 to dhikr. Then, it will be made easy 44:30 for us to recite dhikr when we pass 44:32 away. If you are used to saying 44:36 lailahaillallah, lailahaillallah, Allah 44:39 , Allah. God willing, it will not be 44:43 difficult when we pass away, yes. Like 44:47 that. Therefore, let us get used to 44:50 performing dhikr to Allah Subhanahu wa 44:52 taala with our tongues, and even more 44:54 so with our hearts. Wallahu alam. 44:58 Masyaallah. So, what are our habits 45:00 like? Hopefully, our habits remain good 45:02 and positive. How about from Mr. Rohili 45:05 ?" Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 45:06 wabarakatuh, Ustaz. "" Waalaikumsalam 45:09 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. "" Ustaz, 45:10 are there specific signs that someone 45:13 is about to pass away? "" That is all. 45:16 " 45:16 Alright. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Uh. 45:24 The Prophet of Allah, Adam, may peace 45:29 be upon him, once met the Angel of 45:34 Death. He made a request to the Angel 45:37 of Death. He said if his time was near, 45:44 please give him a sign so he could 45:50 prepare and repent." Alright, "he said. 45:59 Then, when the Angel of Death arrived 46:03 to take his soul. He said," Didn't I 46:10 tell you? "" If my life is near, please 46:16 give me a sign. "The angel replied," 46:21 Hasn't Allah already given you signs? 46:25 There were many signs: first, Allah 46:29 turned your hair gray. " 46:32 Uh. 46:34 Yes, that is a sign, because gray hair 46:36 is indeed a sign. 46:39 Yes. 46:39 It is already a sign from Allah. Second 46:41 , your eyes have started to become 46:43 blurry. Third, your hearing has started 46:48 to...Diminish. Then fourth, your teeth 46:55 have started to fall out. Fifth, your 47:00 strength, and so on. Then your ability 47:05 or appetite, all of those are signs 47:08 from Allah Subhanahu wa taala. Yes, 47:12 signs. So, if you are asking me, 47:15 actually you already know yourself, but 47:18 you just don't realize that they are 47:21 warnings from Allah Subhanahu wa taala. 47:25 Wallahualam. 47:27 Masyaallah. It turns out those signs do 47:30 exist. We often don't realize it, right 47:32 , Ustaz? For those who have gray hair, 47:35 or 47:36 those whose teeth have fallen out, oh 47:38 my, 47:38 must repent quickly. From Mr. Yusman, 47:42 Ustaz. Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi 47:44 wabarakatuh. 47:46 Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 47:47 wabarakatuh. 47:48 Ustaz, what is the best recitation to 47:50 be heard by someone in the throes of 47:52 death? Some say" Lailahaillallah, " 47:55 others say" Allah, Allah. "Like that. 47:58 Hmm. Alright. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. 48:04 Yes, first, for a person who is, what 48:08 do you call it? Sick, it is best to 48:13 recite during their illness, 40 days, 48:20 40 times, the Ismul A'zam, or the 48:28 prayer of Prophet Yunus." La ilaha illa 48:33 anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin 48:35 . "Yes, if a sick person recites that 48:38 for 40 days during their illness, yes. 48:42 Now, if one recites it every day, 40 48:45 times, that is of course even better. 48:50 Second, reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas." Qul 48:54 huwallahu ahad "40 times. Whoever 48:59 recites the prayer of Yunus and Surah 49:05 Al-Ikhlas 40 times while sick, the 49:10 Prophet says if they pass away, they 49:15 are granted the reward of a martyr. 49:20 Huh. 49:22 Yes, that is one. Second," wa in baria 49:26 baria magfuron lah. "If the illness 49:31 does not lead to death, and they 49:35 recover, they recover with all their 49:39 sins forgiven by Allah Subhanahu wa 49:43 ta'ala. Forgiven by Allah. Now, then 49:51 also, there is what do you call it? 49:55 There is a good prayer for a sick 50:00 person to recite as well. As narrated 50:06 from Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, 50:10 which is to recite" La ilaha illallah. 50:15 "" Yuhyi wa yumit, wa huwa hayyun la 50:19 yamut. "" Wa subhanallahi bil' ibadi 50:23 wal bilad. "" Walhamdulillahi hamdan 50:27 katsiran thayyiban mubarokan fih 'ala 50:31 kulli... "" Allahu Akbar. "" Allahumma 50:43 inni... "" ruhi... "" fi arwahi sabaq 50:57 lahu husna wa adni minan-nar awla... " 51:10 Like that. If the person dies, they 51:13 will attain the pleasure of Allah 51:16 Subhanahu wa ta'ala by reciting that 51:20 prayer. That is how it is. Now, 51:24 furthermore, for those around them, as 51:27 ordered by the Prophet," Man kana 51:31 akhiru kalamihi la ilaha illallah 51:34 dakhalal jannah. "Whoever ends their 51:38 life with the words" La ilaha illallah 51:41 "will certainly enter paradise. 51:45 Therefore, let us who are alive and 51:47 healthy make an effort so that the 51:49 person in the throes of death dies 51:51 saying" La ilaha illallah. "So, recite" 51:54 La ilaha illallah "for them. Yes, but 51:58 don't force them; just recite it, let 52:02 them follow and say it of their own 52:05 volition, not because they are ordered 52:09 by us. 52:11 Like that." La ilaha illallah. "If" La 52:14 ilaha illallah "is too long, then just" 52:16 Allah, "that's fine, no problem. But 52:20 the best is indeed the sentence" La 52:22 ilaha illallah, "or if the person is a 52:25 non-Muslim, then not" La ilaha illallah 52:27 , "but the Shahada." Ashhadu alla ilaha 52:30 illallah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 52:33 Rasulullah. "Just as the Prophet 52:36 conveyed to his uncle, Abu Talib. That 52:39 is all, wallahu a'lam. 52:42 From Ibu Rukmini. Pak Ustaz, 52:44 assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi 52:45 wabarakatuh. 52:46 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 52:48 wabarakatuh. 52:49 I have a non-Muslim friend, Ustad, who 52:51 died with a smile on his face. His 52:54 child said it was because he was a good 52:56 person who liked to help, give to 52:58 charity, and so on. What do you think 53:00 about that, Ustad? When a non-Muslim 53:02 dies appearing to have a good death 53:05 like that. 53:06 Yes. Well, hopefully, at the moment of 53:11 death, he recited the two sentences of 53:13 the Shahada. Now, if, for example, he 53:17 did not, we can see if this person is* 53:20 min ahlil khair*(among the good) or*min 53:23 ahli syar*(among the bad), including 53:25 whether one dies well or not. There are 53:29 signs for that. There are signs. And 53:33 God willing, as I said earlier, next 53:36 week we will discuss that issue. 53:39 Whether a smile is a sign that a person 53:44 is good or not. If we look at the signs 53:49 mentioned by the Prophet, there are 53:51 none. 53:53 H 53:53 yeah. That a good person dies with a 53:56 smile. There are none. That is not a 54:00 characteristic of a good death. The 54:03 characteristics of a good death are, 54:06 first, *al-hudu' was-sukun*. Calm, not 54:10 restless. Second, the forehead and 54:14 temples sweat. Second, the eyes become 54:17 teary. Third, the lips become dry. 54:21 Those are the signs of a good death. 54:24 God willing, I will explain it again 54:26 next week. Wallahualam (God knows best) 54:27 . Alright, let's move on to the next 54:30 question, Ustad. From a servant of 54:32 Allah in Bekasi who did not leave a 54:34 name. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 54:36 wabarakatuh. 54:37 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 54:39 wabarakatuh. 54:41 Ustad, is it true that there are living 54:43 human beings who can know the unseen, 54:46 and that person is said by many to be 54:49 very pious? Like that, Ustad. 54:54 Alright. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. As I 54:58 said earlier, we can see the*malakut* 55:02 realm, the unseen, it is possible. 55:07 However, the reason we cannot see it 55:10 now is because something is blocking it 55:15 . There is a barrier. That which blocks 55:17 , or the*hijab*(veil) mentioned earlier 55:19 . The Prophet could see people inside 55:22 their graves, right? And what is called 55:27 , people entering hell, he could see 55:29 them. Why? Because the Prophet's* 55:32 basirah*(insight) was not obstructed. 55:34 There was no*hijab*yeah. There was no* 55:38 hijab*. I have a friend who was like 55:40 this. 55:41 I had just finished studying with 55:43 Mualim Syafi'i, uh, Mualim Syafi'i 55:45 Hazami. Then a friend came to me." 55:52 Ustad, I am so embarrassed, Ustad, "he 55:56 said. I asked," Why? "" I once went to 56:00 Habib Umar in Bogor. "" I intended to 56:06 give him a donation, you know. "" So I 56:09 put it in an envelope. "" So I went in 56:11 "" very... "" it felt like no one else 56:21 was giving the Habib anything besides 56:24 me. "" So I felt embarrassed, and 56:27 decided to just add another 5,000. "I 56:30 said that to him. Right when shaking 56:35 hands, the Habib said this," If your 56:37 intention is 5,000, just give 5,000, no 56:40 need to add more. Because only that 56:44 5,000 is what gets accepted. The other 56:47 5,000 disappears without any reward at 56:49 all. " 56:50 Huh. 56:50 Well, Ustadz, how could he possibly 56:52 know that? Yes, of course he can know. 56:56 Well, humans are truly extraordinary. 57:01 The question is just why he can know, 57:04 and why we can't. And this comes from 57:09 riyadah and mujahadah. Yes. Riyadah and 57:15 mujahadah are spiritual exercises; we 57:17 can't just start learning and 57:19 immediately be like that. There are 57:23 many, many like that. That is called 57:27 karamah, which Allah grants to His 57:29 beloved servants. How could Abu Bakar 57:35 know that the child in his wife's womb 57:38 was a girl? How could Umar speak to an 57:44 army that was tens or hundreds of 57:48 kilometers away? Yet he was able to see 57:53 them, give orders, and his voice was 57:55 heard by all the troops there. Even 57:59 though Umar was in Medina. Oh, I see. 58:05 And there are so many more, like the 58:07 saints of Allah, Shaykh Abdul Qadir 58:10 Al-Jailani, his karamah was truly vast. 58:15 It's not just them; we might be able to 58:18 as well, as long as, like I said, there 58:20 are no veils. 58:22 Yes. And this is obtained through 58:27 mujahadah, a long struggle, and also 58:30 riyadah, spiritual training. God knows 58:34 best. 58:35 Next is from Ibu Pemi Johar. Ustadz, 58:39 peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 58:40 and blessings. And peace be upon you, 58:42 and Allah's mercy and blessings, 58:43 Ustadz. My sibling, my beloved sibling, 58:46 passed away on June 13th, early Friday 58:49 morning. Before falling into a coma, 58:52 they were always reciting the Quran and 58:54 performing dhikr. During the coma, we 58:57 all kept reciting the talqin for them. 59:01 What I want to ask is, their head was 59:03 still warm, there was a lot of sweat on 59:05 their forehead, and their eyes were 59:07 always tearing up. Why is that, Ustadz? 59:10 Their head remained warm while their 59:12 feet and hands were cold after they 59:14 passed away. 59:15 All right. 59:15 That is all, Ustadz. 59:16 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 59:17 , the Most Merciful. I have already 59:20 mentioned that the Prophet (peace be 59:22 upon him) explained the signs of the 59:24 deceased at the time of death. Yes, 59:28 observe what the Prophet said, watch 59:30 over the deceased at the time of these 59:32 three things. When these three signs 59:36 appear, the first one is: If their 59:43 forehead and temples are sweating, that 59:46 is one. The second is that their eyes 59:50 are tearing up. Then the third one is 59:54 that their lips are dry. Their lips are 59:57 dry. That is from the mercy of Allah 1:00:00 that has descended upon them. Those 1:00:05 three signs are part of the mercy and 1:00:08 compassion that Allah sends down to the 1:00:12 deceased. So, that is a sign that the 1:00:17 deceased was a good person. It is a 1:00:20 sign they were a good person. We should 1:00:22 be grateful. So, when we see someone 1:00:25 like that, when the prayer is finished, 1:00:28 say: bear witness that the deceased was 1:00:30 among the good people. Don't hesitate, 1:00:34 say: truly, they were among the good 1:00:37 people. They were a good person. Hm. 1:00:40 That is how it is. I think that might 1:00:46 be it, listeners of Radio Silaturahim. 1:00:50 Once again, I would like to inform and 1:00:53 invite all the congregation that I am 1:00:56 continuing the construction of the 1:00:59 Islamic boarding school in Bojong. For 1:01:05 listeners who wish to, what should I 1:01:07 call it? Invest. 1:01:11 Wish to make an otherworldly investment 1:01:13 , please go ahead. Whatever you call it 1:01:18 , investing...whether in the form of 1:01:22 materials or funds, just ask for the 1:01:26 account number. If it's funds, please 1:01:30 send them to, what is it, Rasil. And I 1:01:34 am very grateful to Mbak Ani Hani 1:01:38 Hudaifah, who asked for my account 1:01:42 number last week and subsequently sent 1:01:47 her donation. May Allah Subhanahu wa 1:01:52 ta'ala reward you many times over for 1:01:57 what you have given, purify your soul 1:02:02 and wealth, and may Allah bless what 1:02:07 you, Mbak Ani, have remaining. And the 1:02:13 same goes for all the other brothers 1:02:15 and sisters. Finally, let us pray to 1:02:19 Allah that He always increases our 1:02:22 faith and Islam, strengthens our 1:02:24 conviction, and firms our resolve. 1:02:30 May Allah prolong our lives in 1:02:31 obedience to Him. May Allah guide our 1:02:34 hearts to the path He is pleased with 1:02:36 and loves. May Allah adorn our hearts 1:02:39 with noble character. May Allah cleanse 1:02:42 our hearts from ignoble character. May 1:02:45 Allah shower us and our descendants 1:02:47 with His mercy, guidance, and favor, so 1:02:51 that throughout our lives we remain 1:02:53 steadfast in obeying His commands and 1:02:56 avoiding His prohibitions, and when we 1:02:59 pass away, may the phrase" 1:03:01 Lailahaillallah "be uttered from our 1:03:04 lips with firm conviction as a sign of 1:03:07 a good ending.
