- morning? May you always be healthy and
- always under the protection of Allah
- Subhanahu wa Taala. On this occasion,
- Ikhwan and Akhwat, we meet again in the
- Ibn Kathir tafsir study program with
- Ustaz Umar Rasyid Hasan, Thursday
- edition, 11 Rabiul Akhir 1442 Hijriah
- which coincides with November 26, 2020.
- Ibn Kathir's tafsir study today will
- discuss the Saba surah verse 15.
- Immediately, brothers and sisters, we
- will greet Ustaz Umar Rasyid Hasan.
- Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- Healthy, Ustaz? Yes.
- Walhamdulillah.
- Both brothers and sisters. Meanwhile,
- before we begin, let's open the Qur'an
- and read the Quran, Saba surah verse
- 15. Auzubillahiminasyaitanirrajim.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Laqod kana

- truly for the Sabaean people there is a
- sign or greatness of God in their
- residence, namely two gardens on the
- right and on the left. It was said to
- them, "Eat from the sustenance that
- your Lord has given you and give thanks
- to him. Your country is a good,
- comfortable country, while your God is
- a God who is most merciful." Allah
- Sadaqallahulazim. Allah is true in all
- His words. Tafadal ustaz.
- Yes. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. My
- brothers and sisters are loyal
- listeners of Radio Rasil wherever they
- are. Asalamualaikum warahmatullahi

- Allahumma inniubika min an adil udol au

- alai. Ikhwatal faith blessed by Allah
- subhanahu wa taala. This morning, thank
- God, we are reunited in the discussion
- of Ibn Kathir's interpretation, which,
- God willing, although the verses or
- surahs that Ustaz conveys are not in
- sequence, it is not without purpose.
- The definite purpose is when the verses
- or surahs that Ustaz studies every week
- are not in sequence, which last two
- weeks Ustaz was not present due to
- health problems, the
- definite purpose is to invite the
- brothers and sisters when interacting
- with the Qur'an, ee ee, so that they
- often open the pages of other surahs.
- Because Ustaz Umar wants the
- congregation to study the Qur'an as a
- whole, not just in Surah Al-Fatihah,
- not just in Surah Albaqarah or just in
- Surah Al-Kahf, for example, Abi Agus.
- So, this intention, thank God, is a
- lure for ee to invite the community
- towards learning the Qur'an as a whole.
- Why is that? Well, the second answer is
- probably based on time, right? If we
- only focus on one chapter until it's
- finished from the beginning, it might
- take a very long time. Right, B Agus?
- Right. In
- each meeting, the most we discuss is
- one verse, two verses, no matter how
- many years it takes, it will never be
- finished, that's what's called
- Albaqarah, right? Well, that's why
- Ustaz is trying to lure the listeners
- of this Rasil into having a feeling, a
- desire to randomly open other chapters
- in the Qur'an, so what? To find out
- what's in all those chapters, right?
- Because one chapter discussed will have
- a connection with the previous verse or
- a connection with the verse after it.
- Ee ikhwan fillah today we will ee Ustaz
- is actually interested in this Assaba
- chapter. Surah Saba, not Assaba, Saba
- chapter, right? In Surah Saba verse 15,
- when ee desire, perhaps if people say
- that passionate desire is in a ee
- social order that is what is it called?
- protected by a country whose leadership
- is just, whose leadership is wise,
- honest, trustworthy and also
- intelligent, right? That's Ustaz's
- picture. In reality, it is a picture, a
- picture of everyone's ideals, Abus. The
- picture of everyone's ideals, Ustaz,
- represents the existence of various
- communities, right, and Ustaz feels
- that their desires are no different
- from yours. They want the country to be
- a safe country, a peaceful country, you
- know. And the leader is a leader who is
- just, honest, intelligent, trustworthy
- and so on. So this picture is in ee the
- picture of our desires. Sorry. The
- picture of our desires and this society
- is pictured in the Qur'an, right? For
- friends who often interact with Surah
- Saba, you will definitely encounter
- these first verses, right? Namely verse
- 15 which reads as Abi Agus said earlier
- . Ee then ee what we will focus on
- discussing is the sentence baldat
- thayyibah, Abi Agus. So all the
- brothers who are listening to this
- Rasil ee can probably start opening
- their books, their Qur'an.
- Yes.
- So the sentence baldatun thayyibah,
- baldatun thayyibah is a description of
- the ustaz which is probably no
- different from the others is a
- description of the condition of the
- country, right? Because the name baldah
- itself means a country is a ee what is
- it called? mm territorial mm a region
- that is inhabited by so many people who
- have a leader is baldah. Well, the
- sentence thayyibah is an
- extraordinarily beautiful sentence when
- combined with the sentence baldah. E
- which perhaps there is an attribute
- there is a mausuf, right, the baldah is
- the attribute in ee the baldah is the
- attribute subsumed to thayibah, you
- know. So a country that is thayibah.
- thayibah is ee ee good like that. Ee
- beautiful, e comfortable, peaceful. Wow
- , the meaning is extraordinary, right.
- Well, this is a picture of how we all
- want to live in a thayibah country, a
- beautiful country, a good country, a
- fertile and prosperous country, a
- country with honest, trustworthy,
- intelligent leaders, and so on. Ah, and
- it is very far from our instinctive
- desires or our heart's desire for the
- opposite sentence. There is the
- sentence baldatun thayyibah, meaning
- the opposite is baldatun giru thyibah.
- It's just different with the addition
- of ghair baldatun ghairu thayyibah.
- That's it. If the picture of baldatun
- giru thayibah means a country that has
- no goodness. Of course our picture will
- be different from the first picture,
- right? Well, this second picture, Abi
- Agus, is a picture of*baldatun ghairu
- thyibah*. Yes, we can see the condition
- of a country whose title is just a
- country or ee, a nation that is not
- good, right? Of course, the picture of
- this bad country or nation, yes, we can
- see from who leads it, who controls the
- country, right? Who takes care of its
- people. Perhaps from that picture we
- can judge, e, that baldatun girirut
- thayibah is the opposite of baldah
- thayibah, a country that is not likely,
- yes, a country that is definitely led
- by a leader who is dishonest, who is
- not trustworthy, who is not intelligent
- , who is not fair, ee, and other bad
- traits that the leader has. So what? Ee
- when he became a leader, he allowed all
- things that smelled of badness. Even
- sided with those bad things. Maybe from
- the many sins and sins. No, not
- carrying out amar makruf nahi mungkar,
- perhaps even participating in them, or
- with the existence of ee rampant evil,
- there was no prevention effort, even
- creating a space for evil, or maybe the
- country was left in disarray, the
- country was in disarray, chaotic, left,
- yes, so that the people were possessed
- by a sense of uncertainty and injustice
- was seen here and there which was
- carried out by all of society, not just
- the leader at that time. So, the issue
- of injustice is not only carried out by
- leaders in the baldatun giru thayibah,
- all elements of society commit the same
- injustice, especially their leaders.
- Then there is the denial of the mandate
- , right? There is chaos everywhere.
- This is a matter of faith, a picture of
- baldatun giru thyibah. A picture of a
- bad country. Yes, everyone is ideal.
- Ideally, we must have idealism. Our
- idealism, instinctively human, will
- certainly side with the first Ustaz's
- information, namely that we live in a
- baldatun thyibah country, where of
- course the character of the leaders is
- very human. We understand, ee, that
- this country is abal thayibah, its
- leaders are also pious. Its leaders
- also fear Allah. Its leaders are also
- people who have good uswah, right,
- Habib Agus. That effort hasanah ee in
- him it gives off that light that can
- calm all elements of society, the
- people, sir, we imagine that the leader
- is intelligent, trustworthy, honest and
- so on. Well, so if we have a leader
- like that, ee the prototype of the
- baldah thayibah is depicted in the
- existence of the human community. That
- is, life is completely safe, right,
- completely prosperous, peaceful
- everywhere, life is peaceful, right, ee
- full of justice and, the feeling of
- life is not oppressed like that. Well,
- this is the brotherhood of faith, two
- images of the verse discussed this
- morning. The sentence baldah thayibah
- is the meaning of ee a good country.
- Besides that, there is baldah ghairu
- thayibah. This is the interpretation of
- the ustaz, yes. There is baldah ghairut
- thayibah. That is ee baldah or a bad
- country. Well, where will our desires
- lead in this life? Will we choose the
- baldah thayibah? Or will we choose the
- badah gori thayibah? It turns out that
- human tastes are in these two forms.
- Even regarding heaven and hell, there
- are servants of Allah who want to live
- in heaven and there are people who want
- to live in hell. Let them meet
- world-famous people from ee what's
- their name? E demior, they will meet
- there later, they will also meet ee who
- ee what singer is famous in America,
- White or did I forget another name,
- right? There are those who meet their
- idols again. That is a depiction of the
- existence of baldah thayyibah and
- baldah ghair thayyibah. So, Ikhwan
- fillah who are blessed by Allah, in
- this case I feel I must convey this
- moral message to society for what? So
- that when we live in this world we
- don't be careless like that. Choosing
- to live in a thayibah country or a
- ghairu thayyibah country. Because why?
- Because it will affect our lives later
- in the eternal afterlife. And remember
- once again that the baldah thayibah or
- baldah ghairu thayibah as long as it
- exists in the world is hot. Its nature
- is not eternal. And what will it become
- ? It will become our burden later when
- we are responsible before Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala. Hm. Well, then the
- brothers of Ibn Kathir's interpretation
- is an interpretation that indeed gives
- us the opportunity to think broadly,
- not limited to the picture interpreted
- by Ibn Kathir himself but not deviating
- from the outline of his interpretation.
- Well, the interpretation is, brothers
- of Allah, about Saba, the companions
- once asked the Prophet sallallahu
- alaihi wasallam. Right? Ee, in the
- narration of Imam Ahmad rahimahullah
- taala: "Haddasana Abu Abdurrahman,
- haddasana Ibni Luhaiah, an Abdillah bin
- Hubairah, an Abdurrahman Wailla taqal,
- samu Ibn Abbas yaakul." He said that
- from ee this is the narration of Imam
- Ahmad, he said, this is Abdurrahman bin
- Wa ya said, "I have heard Ibn Abbas say
- ..." Who is Ibn Abbas? Abus. Ibn Abbas
- is the father of Abbas. Eh, the son of
- Abbas. Ibn Abbas. If his father means
- Abbas. Well, Ibn Abbas is the son of
- Father Abbas said, "Inna rajulan saala
- Rasulullahi sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- an saaba." There was one person came to
- Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- like that, right. Suddenly he asked
- about what is saba?
- Yes.
- Yes, what is Saba? Maua e Saba what is
- it? Saba is mahu. Qala then Rasulullah
- answered ee ee Rasulullah answered mahu
- . Not before Rasulullah answered mahu
- rajulun amraah am ardun. Hm. Is what is
- called saba in the form of a human? Yes
- . And this human is male or female or
- the name Saba is a place ya ardun.
- Ardun is a place of the earth, you know
- . Ah, that's the territory and so on.
- Ee qala Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi
- wasallam. Then the Prophet replied, "
- Bal hua rajulun." Saba is a man. The
- name of a man is bal hua rajulun.
- Waladu asrah. Bal hua rajulun. Yes, it
- is a man, there are 10 of them. That's
- saba. So Saba is described as a group
- of servants of Allah, right? From among
- the men, there are 10 people. Fasakanal
- Yaman minhum sittatun. Of these 10
- people, six of them live in the Yemen
- region. E lives in the Yemen region.
- Wabisyami minhum arbaatun. And four of
- the 10 people live in the Sham region.
- Where is the Sham region, Abi Agus? The
- Sam region includes
- Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, right?
- Well, that's subhanallah, a
- fertile, prosperous country that is now
- completely destroyed.
- Subhanallah. Well, those four people
- out of 10 live in Sham. Faamal
- Yamaniyun. As for the people who live
- in Yemen, the six are famadjat eh
- famadhaj one wakindah two wa Azad wal
- asy'ariyun wa anmar wa himimyar these
- six groups ee let's say become a big
- tribe in Yemen. Yes, those six people
- out of 10 have been conveyed by Ustaz.
- Wa amma syamiyah. As for the four
- people who live in the land of Sham. Ee
- falakham one wajadam two waamlah
- waamilah three. Waghasan four. So these
- four people live in what is it called?
- The land of Sham. Well, all of these
- ikhwat al iman ee are described in a
- book called Alqasdu Wal Umam Bim'rifati
- Usuli Ansabil Arab wal ajam. This has
- been clearly described by the author.
- Well, then, brothers, let's look at the
- development of the six ee servants of
- Allah who inhabited Yemen, creating
- civilization there, right, creating
- civilization, including the
- civilization when ee Bilqis became
- queen there. That's subhanallah, what
- an extraordinary story. So Ikhwan
- fillah, civilization after civilization
- was built in such a way, whether in
- Yemen or in Syria, all of them competed
- with that civilization. But when it
- comes to faith, don't look at
- civilization from only one good side.
- It turns out that civilization will
- develop in what straight line? Good
- with bad turns out to be everywhere. So
- the civilization built in Yemen and the
- civilization built in Syria are the
- same. Some are good, some are bad.
- Some will later become baldah thayibah.
- There is something that will later
- become baldah ghiru thayibah. Ah, it
- turned out to be a brother like that
- from his past like that. Well, today in
- Indonesia, especially in human
- civilizations, subhanallah, the level
- of which fluctuates, right? Then
- there's confusion and so on. Honestly,
- today, we don't want anyone to live in
- this world in a state of
- poverty,
- destitution, misery, and chaos. Even
- having a country that is giru thayibah,
- not good, is not good. Why? Because its
- leaders have bad characters. It's
- impossible for a good leader to
- suddenly be faced with baldah ghairu
- thayibah. It's impossible, it's not in
- harmony. Well, what is in harmony is
- that a bad leader will definitely be
- sheltered by a bad country. Sheltering,
- you know, leading a bad country.
- Automatically, down there, there are
- things that humans don't want until
- Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala wills that
- from this bad thing there are figures
- who want to save their country, how? By
- evaluating. Well, this is what must
- exist among us.
- Okay, Ustaz. Well, that
- I ee may want to interrupt for a moment
- , Ustaz, that what is our ee tausiah
- this morning is the land of Saba, a
- picture ee of a prosperous land then
- occupying a green area with abundant
- agricultural products.
- Subhanallah.
- And if we look at the current modern
- map, the land of Saba is located around
- Yemen and Oman.
- Naam.
- Baikul. But then there are those who
- connect the land of Sabah, this fertile
- land, you could say Indonesia is
- perhaps one of them or ee we see this
- country, its natural resources are very
- abundant, even from Sabang to Merauke
- like that. Well, if we look at the land
- that is baldatun, thayibatun, warun
- gufur, gufur,
- maybe we are thinking now that ee
- currently for our own country, has it
- entered the category of baldatun
- thayibatun gfur and ee what are the
- characteristics of that country, Ustaz?
- I
- ee Akhi Agus ee the condition of Saba
- itself, right, which is the picture,
- was asked by the friend, whether he is
- a person or a place, right.
- Well, that refers to that kind of
- person, right? Well, that's just a
- prototype, actually, just an example in
- the Yemeni region.
- The picture is that this is a good
- prototype in a green area full of
- income, ee, from ee, from the land,
- right? And there, subhanallah, rice
- grows, bananas grow, all kinds of
- fruits are there, from tomatoes, from
- water, everything. Ustaz once went to
- the Jizan region. The Jizan region is
- on the Saudi-Yemeni border.
- Yes.
- Entering from Abha, Ustaz Pernama, it
- was incredibly cold. Very cold, that's
- what Abha is. We went up the mountain,
- it was already with clouds, right? I
- stayed in Hayut Dabab. Even in Hayut
- Hayud Dabab, that area is always
- covered in fog.
- Wow, it's incredibly cold. Ustaz, you
- see the land there is incredibly
- fertile and you have never seen it in
- Indonesia, no matter how Indonesia is
- on the equator, it is incredibly
- fertile, but there are areas where you
- see plants that don't grow here,
- what is it, Ustaz?
- Among them, uh, some people say pagak,
- what is
- pagak, it's like a kind of sweet potato
- .
- Heeh. But it doesn't exist in Indonesia
- . It tastes like mushrooms, it tastes
- like pagak. Ee, it
- only grows in areas that grow in that
- area and has never existed in Indonesia
- . I myself have never seen it. And also
- there is something called Tihamah.
- Tihamah is a valley, right? An
- extraordinary valley. In the valley
- there are all kinds of trees,
- especially seider.
- Hm.
- Ee, sider is a seider tree. In our
- country, we use the leaves to bathe
- corpses.
- He.
- That and it is indeed sunnah. That
- sidur tree has an extraordinary number
- of ablutions. And from this cider tree,
- ee, it produces cider honey when so
- many wasps land on this tree and then
- they suck the nectar from the flowers.
- So, it's called cider honey.
- That's the price, Abi Agus, subhanallah
- , and it's special. Well, conditions
- like that are just a prototype,
- actually. Just an example that might be
- emulated in Indonesia.
- Heeh. That's it. Well, the question
- earlier asked whether Indonesia already
- has the characteristics of a baldah
- thayibah? Yes, Ustaz cannot answer
- personally. Maybe this is the answer
- together.
- He.
- What do you feel in this country?
- Personally, Ustaz feels that there is
- no country called a baldah thayibah in
- Indonesia. Our daily life now is tense,
- right? There is no such thing as a
- tense country. Ee, what exists is calm,
- safe, peaceful. Well, this is perhaps
- Ustaz's answer, that is a prototype. An
- example that might be emulated in all
- countries. Only Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala, with His power, can inform us
- about this example in Yemen.
- Yes.
- In Yemen, specifically in the region of
- ee di di with the Saba group, ee
- leaders who were truly extraordinary in
- building that civilization. Well, the
- same thing happens in Syria. In Syria,
- it's extraordinary. Ustaz never saw
- anything lined up along the road in
- Indonesia when he went to Lebanon, Abi
- Agus. Along the road here, there might
- be useless trees, right?
- But what do they grow along the road
- there? Figs and olives, especially
- olives,
- along the extraordinary road. Every
- time they walk in front of their houses
- , Allahu Akbar, like we do, coconuts,
- mangoes, and so on. They pick them
- freely.
- Yes. Of course, there are ethics, if
- perhaps they ask for it or give it to
- them. In our country, maybe mangoes or
- something like that.
- Well, this is a prototype. Now, about
- what will happen now when we find this
- country is not thayibah, everyone will
- feel constrained by this thayibah
- condition.
- So, what is the solution? Okay, now we
- don't have much time to blame others
- and we have to return to each of us,
- what our desires are to live in this
- country. That's right. I want tomorrow
- to have a just leader, you know. An
- honest, intelligent, trustworthy leader
- . I have those qualities, ee hasanah,
- you know. So what will it produce?
- Produce extraordinary thoughts that are
- beneficial for the community.
- He.
- So where will the community be led? Led
- towards a safe, prosperous life. That's
- what we want. How? There's no other way
- . The most effective way is cooperation
- between the leader and the elements of
- the nation's children. And the nation's
- children shouldn't be made enemies, you
- know, Habib Agus. Now, it's different,
- the nation's children are made enemies,
- from the ulama to the people, the
- people are made enemies, oppressed. Yes
- , this is a form of country that lacks
- the qualities of baldah thayyibah. We
- are very, very far from our ideals.
- That's Abi Agus.
- Okay, Ustaz. There is a question from
- Mrs. Karmila in Tebet. Peace be upon
- you, Ustaz. And peace be upon
- you.
- Okay. Mrs. Karmila wants to ask. Uh, it
- seems like baldatun ghairu thayibah is
- our current situation, Ustaz.
- Oh Allah, O Lord.
- If it's like this, how will our lives
- and our children's lives continue,
- Ustaz? It seems like most people are
- very hostile and hate the ulama and
- kiai who firmly call for goodness and
- prevent evil and also prevent evil.
- Please enlighten me, Ustaz. Jazakallah.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. It seems we
- have the same ideals, huh. E about the
- future, how can we live in a baldatun
- thayibah, which Mother herself said we
- live in a country where ghairu thayibah
- is not good. Yes, automatically we
- return our human instincts to anyone.
- These servants of Allah are entrusted
- with additional work, and we are given,
- in other words, extra work, right? We
- have a lot of work to do, right? We
- return to our inner selves. Humans
- actually have good desires. Whoever
- they are, they return to their natural
- state. Well, when they return to their
- natural state when they become leaders,
- when they become managers of a country,
- when they return to their natural state
- , God willing, their natural state will
- be good.
- Yes. Well, and no one in human nature
- wants to be harmed, to suffer, or to
- live in chaos, that doesn't exist. But
- why does this happen? Then the answer
- is clear. Well, perhaps the certainty
- is that when humans follow the whispers
- of Satan, these two humans want to
- fulfill their lusts, then something
- undesirable happens. Inna nafsa, Allah
- says in the Qur'an, laaratun bisu. Inna
- nafsa laaratun bisu. In fact, human
- desires dictate that we not do bad
- things. So, that's what happens, and
- these bad deeds accumulate. Once these
- bad deeds accumulate, it's very
- difficult to return to the right path.
- So, first, I'm going back to our
- instincts, to the instincts of good
- humanity. Second, perhaps the answer is
- , as Ustaz said earlier, cooperation:
- this country doesn't belong to one
- person. Abi Agus.
- Yes.
- This country doesn't belong to one
- group, so even a country as large as
- this can't prioritize its own interests
- . It can't. There must be cooperation.
- What form of cooperation? In the form
- of managing the country from top to
- bottom. Through its wealth, it must be
- managed together. Even though the
- country has a leader. Even though, once
- again, this country has a leader, the
- management of the country's wealth must
- be done together because we are the
- children of this country. So if we
- don't do that, what I said earlier will
- happen: baldah ghairi thayibah forever
- is not good forever. So if you're
- threatened like that, don't expect the
- people to obey, or be happy, right?
- There will definitely be unrest, yes.
- But the people themselves actually
- depend on the
- ulama, on their umara, Ustaz. This
- means that the people are truly like
- their leaders. Yes.
- Well, what's sad in this country is, eh
- , corruption cases, for example, which
- until now seem never-ending and this
- could be said to be our common enemy.
- How sad it was when yesterday the
- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)
- arrested, ee, one of the ministers of
- the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and
- Fisheries for corruption, for example,
- in the midst of the current pandemic.
- Can our country then become a baldatun
- thayibatun warofun gfur country, as
- Ustaz discussed this morning?
- Yes. Indeed, there is still much hope
- for the future of this country to
- become baldatun thayibah, there is
- still much hope if there is a will.
- Yes. Yes, the main will is cooperation.
- Cooperation, namely the government with
- the ulama. I
- bainal ulama wal umara must exist, ee,
- in harmony, you know. Don't let the
- ulama want to go one way, Umar wants to
- go there. You will never meet. If it's
- like that, O Allah, O Lord, don't
- expect the country to become a baldah
- thayibah. Ah, the chaos that Abi Agus
- mentioned earlier, corruption, even the
- minister, Sis? The Ministry of Maritime
- Affairs and Fisheries (
- KKP), that's
- very embarrassing and heartbreaking.
- Now, this collaboration shouldn't just
- be a dream.
- Yes. When a child of the nation like
- Ustaz himself wants to gain good values
- from our country in which we live,
- don't just dream. If you keep dreaming,
- things won't get done. Make it a
- reality, how? By frequently
- consolidating. What does consolidation
- mean? The benefit of consolidation,
- Ustaz, is to interpret it as
- silaturahim.
- Yes. Then build friendships through
- that silaturahim to things that are
- more beneficial to the wider community.
- Well, now we don't even do
- consolidation. We've even cut off
- silaturahim with our friends in
- government. Perhaps according to ustaz,
- the husnuzan ustaz, they are still
- waiting for advice from us who have
- gone too far. In fact, they are still
- waiting for us, you know. It's just
- that we haven't been able to penetrate
- them or have been stopped midway. Well,
- this is cooperation between ulama and
- umara. If there is Abi Agus,
- cooperation between ulama, to them
- religious knowledge, to them advice,
- yes, social humanity, ee together,
- right? To them noble morals, yes, to
- them policies, ee the term needed by
- society. Then if it is conveyed to the
- government, which becomes umara and
- umarah, fearing Allah, becoming pious
- people, I am sure that Indonesia in the
- future will become the badah thayibah
- that we so aspire to. If not, God
- willing.
- Okay. That means that advice from ulama
- to Umar is actually easier to access
- now, Ustaz. Whether through gadgets or
- gadgets like social media, there are
- already so many.
- Right. There are
- already so many YouTube videos being
- shared. Even more importantly,
- self-awareness is emerging.
- Yes. This means there's no excuse for
- the government now. If we're talking
- about the government, it's from top to
- bottom.
- From the head of state to, say, the
- janitor who is actually running this
- country.
- There's no excuse for them not to be
- good people. Because Abi Agus also
- mentioned earlier that advice from
- clerics comes in various forms. Some
- come from YouTube, some from GG
- gadgets,
- some from
- whatever it's called, cellphones.
- Oh, there's also WhatsApp. Yes.
- Yes, all the offers of goodness are
- there. It
- doesn't have to be a religious teacher
- present
- in front of them when they're at the
- palace or in their office. It doesn't
- have to be just open Abdul Somad, you
- know. Just open Adi Hidayat, just open
- if you want Ustaz Umar, just open all
- the ustads. It's very easy. This means,
- Good. There's no excuse for all of this
- government now not to be good people.
- Give them the opportunity to be good
- people. Okay, let's give them that
- opportunity. But what? But like Abu Yus
- earlier, this awareness of being a good
- person is hampered by his behavior,
- hampered by his morals. So it's natural
- that suddenly a servant of God wants to
- change everything through what? A moral
- revolution. Because when morals are
- good,
- bad becomes good, wrong becomes right,
- right? The oppressive becomes just,
- right? What seems feared becomes
- something that can feel peaceful and
- safe. That's how we work together.
- Regarding the elements of society, we
- must invite all of them to cooperate.
- Remember, Abi Agus, in any country,
- there must be an element of state
- security. Who is that state security?
- It's none other than the Indonesian
- National Armed Forces (TNI), right? The
- TNI is divided into three. There's the
- Army, even one more, the Navy, the Air
- Force, and the police. These are the
- most vital elements of society for the
- country. Well, now if it is misused by
- the arbitrary authority of bad leaders
- who were previously categorized as
- baldatun ghair thyibah and even
- directed towards personal and group
- interests, they will never get justice,
- they will never get peace. I.
- Well, what we want as good children of
- this nation is their cooperation in
- managing the interests desired by the
- community so that the community is
- protected, you know, with the presence
- of the TNI, they feel calm through the
- ownership of their property, right,
- their household. In fact, this
- cooperation, subhanallah, must be
- repeated.
- Yes.
- Must be repeated. When did this ever
- happen in the first days of this
- country? Independence.
- H
- is cooperation between the community
- and the TNI. Oh, very obvious. Well, we
- hope that there will be repetitions of
- such cooperation. Even more than that.
- God knows best.
- Okay, Ustaz. The
- next question comes from Mr. Yudi at
- the Cibubur Siti Housing Complex in
- Bogor. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh, Ustaz.
- Waalaikumsalam warahmatull.
- How do you deal with those who
- criticize the ulama, which is currently
- on the rise, Ustaz?
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Today's
- situation is indeed very unbalanced.
- What do you mean by unbalanced? What is
- balanced, Mr. Agus. Balanced is like
- going to the northern region.
- Yes.
- If it's balanced, there's a goal. Right
- ? Having a goal is balanced. Eventually
- , you'll reach your goal. Well, or we
- have an ideal, right? We can convey
- something without any obstacles, this
- is balanced. Well, right now we're
- unbalanced. Unbalanced in what way? The
- ulama, for them, have religious
- knowledge, which, like religious
- knowledge, penetrates all elements of
- society. And this religious advice
- doesn't always have to be accepted by
- sinners. Actually, Agus doesn't mean
- that religious advice should always be
- addressed to sinners. It doesn't always
- go there. Even good people, even good
- people like Prophet Agus, should
- receive the same advice, for what? So
- that there is a value of steadfastness
- in good people. Now, for people with
- bad character and bad morals, they
- receive advice from the ulama for what?
- So that they become good, you know, by
- evaluating themselves back to their
- human nature. Well, now it's not
- balanced. Why not balanced? Because now
- these bad people, when they receive
- advice, act as if they are ulama too.
- So it's not wrong when the Prophet said
- that in the end times there will appear
- ulama su. Well, those ulama with bad
- character. Because it turns out that
- these bad groups are also protected by
- ulama, Abi Agus, you know.
- Um, these kinds of ulama are the ones
- who may be
- very contradictory to the wishes of
- good ulama. Then there will be
- harassment, you know, there will be
- blasphemy from them, right, and they
- don't feel that it is insulting
- religion, you know. This is the danger.
- Therefore, we must now create a
- regeneration of Islamic scholars in the
- form of education such as Islamic
- boarding schools. Form this Islamic
- boarding school as well as possible.
- Manage this Islamic boarding school as
- well as possible with the expected
- management. Don't just seek profit from
- this Islamic boarding school for
- what? So that in 10 years to come, if
- Indonesia still exists, it's good, we
- still have a stock of Islamic scholars.
- Yes. We still have a reserve of Islamic
- scholars who are ready whenever the
- country needs them, yes, we are ready
- to defend them, even if it sacrifices
- what we have.
- Okay, Ustaz. Should an Islamic scholar
- or a kiai get angry when he is
- criticized or what response should the
- ulama do when he is criticized, for
- example, on a reading book that Ustaz,
- Ustaz, Ustaz, Ustaz, or...
- Well, like the Prophet himself, right?
- Like the Prophet himself, when he was
- walking in history, of course he was
- spat on, his path was dirtied, right?
- Even by the Jews, uh, they were blind,
- right? Then they kept mocking him, even
- being fed food by the Prophet
- sallallahu alaihi wasallam. That means
- that it's not necessary that the bad
- actions that someone throws at a
- scholar will be repaid with the same
- thing, not necessarily, when they have
- extraordinary resilience of faith and
- piety. But if we see that scholars are
- also human, Abi Agus, there is a limit
- to patience, for example, there is a
- limit to the resilience of faith, right
- ? So we don't immediately blame the
- scholar when he is constantly
- blasphemed. Right? It's not wrong to be
- blasphemed, let alone being constantly
- blasphemed. E then it is natural and
- very human when he is also and not a
- prophet. The term ulama is not a
- prophet, right? ee not a messenger,
- just an ordinary human being whom Allah
- has entrusted knowledge in his chest,
- right? So it is natural if ee suddenly
- there is an action to do what?
- Reaction. A reaction is actually
- natural. However, what is expected is a
- stable condition of istikamah in faith
- that does not necessarily have to be
- repaid with the same evil. But brothers
- , there is actually a misunderstanding.
- What ustaz?
- When yesterday the caricature that
- appeared in France led to boycotts
- everywhere.
- There is a misunderstanding in the
- meaning of boycott.
- If our personal matters are insulted,
- there is no problem, we forgive. But if
- what has been insulted is a matter of
- our faith, the existence of the Prophet
- , the existence of the Messenger is
- faith or not?
- Yes.
- Our faith. Faith. What is our faith?
- Faith in Allah, faith in angels, faith
- in books, faith in race. That fourth
- faith. Well, the question of faith is
- the problem. When it comes to the
- prophet's personality, we are forgiving
- people; we don't doubt it. But when the
- prophet is an element of our faith, his
- existence becomes an element of our
- faith in their existence, then this is
- a price for believers.
- Yesterday, Ustaz heard that there was a
- misperception in dealing with the
- boycott attempt. Hey, someone said, "
- Why do we have to boycott our prophet's
- lawong? The Prophet is forgiving. Right
- ?
- Yes.
- After all, now we use French products
- in our homes too. Pizu I cars, right?
- Heeh.
- Renal, right? Then we still use other
- Carrefour Higher or various other
- products. That's what's wrong with
- something like this because there's no
- need for a boycott. I see it this way,
- if we've already bought French products
- , they shouldn't be destroyed, Agus. We
- should use them for Islam, like the
- cars we bought, the French products
- we've bought, you know. Or in any form,
- they shouldn't be destroyed, or they'll
- be wasted. Use them for what? They're
- also Allah's creatures. Use them for
- the benefit of Islam. But the problem
- with boycotting something we haven't
- bought is what can be boycotted. Please
- boycott it forever until the country's
- economy is destroyed, you know. Because
- of what? That's a lesson for who? For a
- country that insults the Prophet, many
- people. Well, Muslims, right? That's it
- . Please boycott any product you
- haven't purchased in all its forms. But
- keep what you've purchased because it
- belongs to you. Yes.
- And that encourages devotion to Allah.
- This is the misconception in responding
- to the boycott issue that occurred
- yesterday.
- The point is, on the principle of faith
- , there is no bargaining for us as
- Muslims. That's it. There's
- bargaining about our prophet's
- forgiveness. Uh, our prophet is second
- to none in terms of forgiveness. But
- one time, when he was also insulted by
- someone, the person asked the Prophet
- Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah
- be upon him)," You are being insulted
- by me. Have you never been angry? Yes,
- you never retaliated against me. What's
- wrong with you? What was the answer? I
- want to know the answer. What did the
- Prophet say, "If you want to know the
- answer, go to Ali."
- Hmm.
- You go to Abu Bakr, you go to Umar.
- Tell his main companions what happened?
- His neck was cut. His neck was cut when
- he asked, "O my brother, I insulted the
- messenger, insulted your prophet, but I
- was never scolded. Never." What was the
- answer? Who? Here you are cut. It means
- that when the neck was cut, that was
- the reward for those who
- insulted our prophet. Even though our
- prophet was
- forgiving.
- Forgiving. Remember, at the side of the
- Prophet Muhammad in the early days of
- the development of Islam, there was Abu
- Bakr. H
- remember, at the side of the Prophet
- Muhammad when Islam first appeared,
- there was Umar, there was Hamzah, there
- was Uthman, there was Ali, there was
- Abdurrahman bin Auf, there was Zaid bin
- Thabit. There were people who were
- ready to die to continue to glorify the
- name of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu
- alaihi wasallam. Well, even in this day
- and age, the Ikhwan fillah who are
- blessed by Allah, those generations
- have never broken the chain, you know.
- H.
- So, if there are scholars who are
- insulted, if in the past the prophet
- was insulted, the companions who
- advanced. Now, who should step forward
- from the clerics who are being reviled?
- Well, the congregation is like that. So
- , brothers, this country, God willing,
- will remain a shared hope, becoming
- baldatun thayibah, warabun gfur. When
- there is some kind of cooperation with
- all elements of society. So, if members
- of society or elements of society are
- invited to cooperate, be it clerics or
- even the youth of the nation, uh, not
- one, uh, one figure. It turns out, some
- figures that the children of this
- nation have: there are elements of the
- TNI, there are elements of society,
- employees, there are teachers, right,
- there are farmers, right, there are all
- livestock breeders, there are ordinary
- people. Invite them to cooperate.
- Okay, Ustaz.
- That's how to make this country
- baldatun thayibatun
- thayibatun warabun gfur.
- Okay. Actually, ee as Indonesian
- citizens ee, ee, more precisely, we
- should not criticize religious leaders,
- not only just clerics but also
- religions in Indonesia.
- Actually, the issue of criticizing is
- because it is part of harmony.
- Yes. Actually, criticizing our morals
- refers to the Quran. Well, actually,
- criticizing is something that scholars,
- especially those who should not be
- criticized. The government, in this
- case, should not be criticized. But if
- the government is wrong, they should be
- advised,
- reminded, and
- reminded, but don't let it go too far.
- Yes, it's
- good for them. Ah, this is what would
- be called a mutual response.
- So, there are scholars who advise,
- there are those who accept that advice
- so that things can return to normal,
- right? So, regarding insults, it is not
- permissible to target scholars and
- neither is it permissible to target the
- government. That's why in matters of
- enjoining good and forbidding evil,
- there is an ethic of
- i
- bil hikmah wal mauidatil
- hasanah
- hasanah. And Allah knows best. Like
- that.
- Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh. From
- ee ustaz, seeing the current state of
- our country, which is actually rich and
- fertile, but its people are actually
- not yet prosperous. In fact, it could
- be said that many are truly lacking. As
- children of this nation who love this
- country, what and what prayers should
- we pray for our country, Ustaz? So that
- our leaders can be just and wise and
- the people can always support, remind
- them well, and respect their leaders.
- Please enlighten me. Another question
- comes from the city of Lumpia.
- What?
- Specifically from Semarang, Ustaz.
- Semarang
- from Ibu Zainab, Ustaz. How or with
- what concept did the Prophet sallallahu
- alaihi wasallam and his companions
- govern a country.
- Thank you.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. To the mother
- who wished for what? A prayer that if
- you pray, it will be granted peace in
- this country and this country will be
- good. There are many kinds of prayers
- that Ustaz also consumes every night,
- perhaps when we wake up at night, right
- ? And hopefully we can and Allah gives
- us the opportunity to fill our nights
- with worship. The prayers are diverse,
- Mother. Among them, perhaps you can use
- a prayer like this. If I often hum with
- my prayers to Allah, ee, among them, if
- Mother could write like that, right?
- Heeh.
- Among them, mm Allahumma inna naudubika
- minal fitan. That's how we avoid
- slander. Mahar minha w baton, you know,
- the obvious and the hidden slander. Min
- baladina hza khasah wamin buldanil
- muslimina amah. O Allah, protect us
- from slander, both the apparent and the
- inner, in this country, right, and the
- land of Muslims wherever they are. This
- prayer is a prayer for us to
- hope that this country will become a
- baldatun thayibah country. or slightly
- longer prayers. Allahumma inna
- nas'aluka fi'al khairat. Well, that's
- good. Allahumma inna nasaluka fi'al
- khairat watarkal munkarat, right? O
- Allah, give me what is it called? Good
- works that avoid evil and sinful deeds.
- Right? Eh oh filat. Allahumma inna
- nasalukairatakal munkarat wubbal
- Masakin like that, wahubal Masakin,
- waagfirana watarhamna, wa arta fitnatan
- fiumina fatawa mabtun, wasaluka hubbuk
- wahua yuhibbuk wahuba amalin yuqorbu
- hubbik. That is a very beautiful prayer
- , prayer and ee our complaints to Allah
- are very, very beautiful. e and maybe
- later Mother can ask Abi Agus to write
- it down and then send it via WA. Well,
- that would be beautiful, later Ustaz
- will write it. That is one of Ustaz's
- answers in the form of prayer. Secondly
- , how from ee Mother what was that?
- Aisyah.
- Mother L
- who is from that who is from Semarang.
- Oh,
- Mother Zainab.
- Mother Zainab. E from Mother Zainab in
- Semarang. Ee how do you manage this
- country? Yes, it is nothing other than
- managing this country. If the Prophet
- used to take care of it, ee, what is it
- called, becoming a country, becoming a
- country, yes,
- which is subhanallahiladzim baldah
- thayibah, yes, it means now it didn't
- suddenly become baldatun thayibah
- without any struggle, right? Abi Agus,
- Mecca, which is a country that is very
- much loved by the Prophet, he even
- promised, "I will not leave you, O
- Mecca, if only the people do not expel
- me," he said. That sometimes makes us
- very sad if we do it like that.
- Heeh.
- He wouldn't want to move even a little
- from the city of Mecca, his hometown.
- If only the people of his country don't
- expel me, I won't go anywhere.
- Yes. But with Allah's permission and
- destiny, because this life is a
- movement from one destiny to another,
- yes, we already know how Allah educates
- his prophet through hijrah. Right? How
- does Allah educate his beloved servant,
- the one he loves, who is the last
- prophet for this last nation? How was
- it educated, forged through the
- struggles of the Battle of Uhud, the
- Battle of Badr, the Battle of the
- Trench, the Battle of Mut'ah, and all
- sorts of wars? That is the means to
- attain a prosperous country. So, how do
- we manage this country like the Prophet
- ? It is none other than hard work,
- jihad, devotion to Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala, and good deeds. If all the
- figures of this nation have at least,
- well, it doesn't have to be much, at
- least some of the morals of the Prophet
- Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah
- be upon him) when they become leaders,
- Ustaz is sure they will strive to
- manage the country exactly like the
- Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings
- of Allah be upon him). Imagine if that
- happened to the ministers, right? And
- the employees, they would probably be
- free from corruption. And Allah knows
- best. And
- Allah knows best. Insyaallah.
- That was Mother, Mother Zainab. And
- Allah knows best.
- Okay, Ustaz, thank you very much for
- your answer.
- It seems we are at the end of the
- program, Ustaz.
- Yes.
- And earlier for Mother L's answer. Then
- there is Mrs. Zainab in Semarang.
- Actually, there are still three more
- questions, Ustaz. That's
- fine.
- Yes. But it seems we'll postpone it for
- now. Later in the meeting next Thursday
- , ee, God willing, yes, God willing,
- don't forget the questions
- like Mr. Jaman, then there are Mrs.
- Yeti and Mr. Saleh from Tanah Abang.
- I'm sorry we can't ask the question to
- Ustaz because we are already at the end
- of the event. Okay, Ustaz, maybe as a
- conclusion. Oh, there is this Ustaz
- from Mrs. Sri. Assalamualaikum, Ustaz.
- May I share your prayer suggestion
- or repeat it again? Thank you.
- Later, we will hopefully be able to
- write it through Abi Agus. Later, Abi
- Agus, please convey it to you via WA.
- Okay. Okay, Ustaz. Okay,
- yes. The term now is that we are in
- this meeting, a time-limited meeting,
- yes.
- Heeh. A
- time-limited meeting, maybe, God
- willing, but PTB in nature. What is PTB
- ? recitation in cursive is written yes
- e PTB recitation
- in writing
- yes it is written in cursive as if it
- were written it is interpreted that way
- . Well, it's just continuous. Even
- though we are limited in time, God
- willing, taala is continuous. Hopefully
- we will remain in good health so that
- every week we can deliver tausiahs like
- this.
- Especially in the times we live in
- today. We ask the entire community to
- restrain themselves, to refrain from
- committing sins,
- from committing sins.
- Fear Allah, get close to Allah with
- worship. Remember, one day we will
- leave this world. Once we leave this
- world, all we have to do is tell the
- story later. Don't let us go to the
- afterlife, where our lives will be
- eternal, bringing bad stories, bringing
- bitter memories, Abi Agus, it will be a
- disaster for us, in the afterlife it
- will be a very heavy burden. To
- whomever the ustaz loves all the
- children of this nation. Not to the
- president, to the ministers, to my
- fellow ustaz who are officials in the
- People's Consultative Assembly (MPR),
- the House of Representatives (DPR).
- Because there are many officials, many
- of Ustaz Abi Agus's friends went to the
- same school and became ministers, right
- ? Now, one of them is also in the DPR/
- MPR. I love all elements of society,
- from the top officials to the street
- sweepers. I have that compassionate
- nature. But hopefully, this compassion
- will become a reality when we work
- together to face the calamities of
- life's tests that Allah has given to
- the children of this nation. May the
- children of this nation pass the tests
- of their lives. If the bad becomes good
- , that's passing. What does passing
- mean when the bad becomes good. What
- does it mean when the bad becomes good?
- If the bad becomes obedient, that's
- what it means, and the chaotic becomes
- safe, that's passing. If it continues
- to be chaotic, then we have no hope.
- Through this review, the ustaz invites
- all members of society to exercise
- self-restraint. Do not sin and do good
- deeds for the sake of facing a better
- Indonesia in the future and for the
- sake of this Indonesia we remain
- grateful as a country that we have the
- ideal of becoming a land of badatun
- thayibatun warabbun gabur. That's all
- perhaps Abi Agus's review from Ustaz.
- Okay, thank you very much Ustaz for the
- explanation and also the answers that
- have been given. We apologize to Mr.
- Jaman, Mrs. Yeti and also Mr. Saleh in
- Tanah Abang. We apologize that we have
- not had time to ask your questions due
- to time constraints. Thank you to Mrs.
- Suryanti. Then there are Mrs. Sri,
- there are Mrs. Tris, Mr. Arif Utomo,
- Mrs. Habibah, Mrs. Nabila in Tangerang;
- then there are Mrs. Tuti Mulyani, Mrs.
- Kamilah; then there are Mrs. Eri, Mrs.
- Ros, Mr. Sofyan, Mr. Iwan Pandi, Hajah
- Amismar; there are Mrs. Tini, Mrs. Niab
- , Mrs. Hani; Mrs. Aisyah in Bekasi;
- also there are Mrs. Darma and Mrs. Nunu
- in Sukabumi; and Agus Ismail in Lampung
- . We thank you for listening to our
- program from beginning to end. We
- apologize for not being able to read
- all the names one by one. However, we
- thank you. I, Biagus, will excuse
- myself. Atep and Anis Mualim are at the
- operator's desk. Subhanakallahumma
- wabihamdika asadu alla ilahailla anta
- astagfiruka wa atubu ilaik. Billahi
- taufik wal hidayah. Assalamualaikum
- warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
