0:24 Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 0:27 and blessings. All praise is due to 0:32 Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, 0:34 and ask for His forgiveness. We seek 0:37 refuge in Allah from the evil of our 0:39 souls and the consequences of our deeds 0:41 . Whoever Allah guides, none can lead 0:45 astray. And whoever He leads astray, 0:48 none can guide. I bear witness that 0:52 there is no god but Allah alone, with 0:55 no partner, and I bear witness that our 0:57 master Muhammad is His servant and 0:59 messenger. Whatever Allah wills happens 1:03 , and whatever He does not will, does 1:05 not happen. There is no power and no 1:08 strength except by Allah, the Almighty, 1:10 the Magnificent. Now then. My brothers 1:14 and sisters, Muslims, who are deeply 1:16 loved by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 1:20 Listeners of Silaturahim Radio and 1:22 viewers of Silaturahim TV. Praise be to 1:27 Allah, tonight we can meet again for 1:29 our literal Quran translation study. 1:35 Last Friday, we reached the 106th verse 1:37 . Tonight, we continue starting from 1:44 verse 107 until it is time for Isha 1:47 later. Let us begin our study by 1:50 reciting the prayer for seeking 1:52 knowledge. In the name of Allah, the 1:55 Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O my 1:57 Lord, increase me in knowledge. O Allah 1:59 , benefit me with what You have taught 2:01 me, teach me what benefits me, and 2:03 provide me with useful knowledge. Amen. 2:07 We start with verse 107. I seek refuge 2:12 in Allah from the accursed Satan. In 2:19 the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, 2:20 the Most Merciful. And if Allah touches 2:28 you with adversity, none can remove it 2:36 but Him. And if He intends for you good 2:41 , none can repel His bounty. He causes 2:48 it to reach whom He wills of His 2:52 servants. And He is the Forgiving, the 2:57 Merciful. The literal meaning is: "wa 3:03 yamsaska"(and if it touches/befalls you 3:07 ), "Allahu"(Allah), "bi durrin"(with a 3:11 harm), "fala kasyifa"(then there is no 3:15 remover), "lahu"(of it), "illa huwa"( 3:19 except Him, Allah). "Wa yuridka"(and if 3:25 He intends for you) "Allahu"(Allah). 3:29 And if He intends good for you, "fala 3:34 radda"(then there is no repeller), "li 3:40 fadlihi"(of His bounty). "Yusibu bihi"( 3:46 He bestows it) "man"(to whom). He 3:51 bestows it with it. "Man"(whom), " 3:55 yasyau"(He wills), "min ibadihi"(from 3:58 among His servants). "Wa huwal Ghafuru" 4:02 (and He is the Forgiving), "ar-Rahimu"( 4:05 the Merciful). As for the overall 4:11 meaning, it is: And if Allah causes any 4:15 harm to befall you, then none can 4:19 remove it except Him. And if Allah 4:25 intends good for you, then none can 4:28 withhold His bounty. He bestows 4:34 goodness upon whom He wills among His 4:37 servants, and He is the Forgiving, the 4:41 Merciful. This is one of the powers of 4:47 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, namely 4:50 inflicting harm and bestowing goodness. 4:56 If Allah wills to inflict harm, then no 5:02 one can remove it except Allah. Of 5:07 course, through Allah’s means as well 5:09 . For example, illness. So to remove 5:15 that illness, Allah creates doctors. 5:21 Then natural disasters, for example, 5:24 because of bad human behavior, lots of 5:31 sin, then Allah sends down its harm or 5:38 danger. That too happens through the 5:41 means of evil people. But if Allah 5:44 wanted to do it directly, He could also 5:46 do that. Likewise, when Allah intends a 5:50 certain goodness, no one can reject 5:55 that bounty. Of course, it is also 5:59 through means. Allah wants to make 6:03 someone smart, so Allah creates a 6:04 teacher. Allah wants to heal someone, 6:09 so Allah creates a doctor, and so on. 6:13 That is the gift of Allah that cannot 6:16 be refused. Once Allah has bestowed His 6:21 bounty, Allah grants it to whomever He 6:27 wills. Allah is the Forgiving. Never 6:32 despair over the sins that we have 6:35 committed. As long as we ask for 6:38 forgiveness, Allah will surely forgive. 6:40 And Allah is most merciful. So, never 6:43 think badly or evil of Allah Subhanahu 6:46 wa ta'ala. Because "Rahim" is a trait 6:50 that always provides goodness. Verse 6:54 108. Qul, ya ayyuhannasu qod jaakumul 7:03 haqqu mirbikum, faman ihtada fainnama 7:10 yahtadi linafsih, waman dolla fainnama 7:17 yadillu alaiha, wama ana alaikum 7:23 biwakil. Qul: say, O Muhammad; ya 7:30 ayyuhanas: O mankind; qod jaakum: has 7:33 come to you; alhaqqu: the truth; 7:37 mirbikum: from your Lord; so whoever 7:40 ihtada: gets guidance or seeks guidance 7:44 ; fainnama: it is for him; yahtadi: to 7:48 receive that guidance; linafsihi: for 7:52 himself. Yes. Waman. And whoever dolla, 7:58 who goes astray, fainnama yadillu, then 8:01 he has led himself astray or is lost, 8:05 alaiha, against his own self. Wama ana, 8:11 and I am not, alaikum, over you, 8:14 biwakil, a guardian. Meaning as a whole 8:18 . Say, O Muhammad, O mankind, the truth 8:23 has come to you, which is the Qur'an 8:26 from your Lord. Therefore, whoever 8:31 receives guidance, the truth is that 8:34 the guidance is for his own good. And 8:40 whoever goes astray, that deviation 8:44 harms himself, and I am not a guardian. 8:51 So, this is the compassion of Allah 8:53 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, giving us al-haq, 8:56 the Qur'an. Whoever takes the path of 9:04 truth by implementing the Qur'an, he 9:07 will receive guidance, and the benefit 9:10 is for himself. And whoever deviates 9:16 from the truth and refuses to use the 9:19 Qur'an, the consequence of that 9:21 deviation is for himself. And the 9:25 Messenger is not a ruler. The Messenger 9:31 is not an oppressor, but his duty is 9:34 only to convey, to give glad tidings to 9:37 those who wish to follow the guidance, 9:40 and to warn those who are astray, who 9:43 deviate, so that they return to the 9:46 truth. The last verse of Surah Yunus, 9:52 verse 109. Wattabi 'maa yuha ilaika 10:00 wasbir hatta yahkumallah wahua khairul 10:07 hakimin. Wattabi, and follow, O 10:13 Muhammad, ma, that which, yuha, is 10:16 revealed, ilaika, to you. Wasbir, and 10:20 be patient. Hatta yahkuma, until He 10:24 gives judgment, Allahu, Allah. Wahua 10:28 khairul hakimin. And He is the best of 10:32 judges. Meaning as a whole. Verse 109. 10:37 And follow what is revealed to you and 10:40 be patient until Allah gives His 10:43 judgment. He is the best judge. A 10:50 command to the Messenger of Allah, 10:53 peace be upon him, to follow what is 10:55 revealed to him. This also applies to 11:00 us, that we should follow what was 11:01 revealed by Allah to the Messenger of 11:03 Allah, peace be upon him. Meaning the 11:07 Qur'an, and we should be patient in 11:10 facing various worldly temptations 11:13 until Allah later decides what is best. 11:18 for us. Because indeed, Allah is the 11:22 best of judges. So when we face various 11:26 calamities, be patient until Allah 11:29 gives a decision, and Allah's decision 11:32 is the best one. Hopefully, the end of 11:37 this Surah Yunus becomes a guide for us 11:40 so that we continue to follow the 11:43 Qur'an and be patient when facing 11:46 calamities. May Allah grant the best 11:50 decision. Next, we have arrived at 11:55 Surah Hud now. We start from the first 12:00 verse. In the name of Allah, the Most 12:04 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Alif, lam, 12:13 ra. A Book whose verses are perfected, 12:21 then set out clearly from One who is 12:25 Wise and Informed. Alif, lam, ra. A 12:36 Book. This is the Book, perfected, 12:41 which has been established, its verses. 12:47 its verses. Then, explained, from the 12:55 One who is Wise, Allah, who is the 13:01 All-Wise. The All-Aware, the 13:04 All-Knowing. The overall meaning: Alif, 13:10 lam, ra; this is a Book whose verses 13:14 have been established and detailed, 13:18 revealed by the side of Allah, who is 13:22 All-Wise and All-Aware. So that is the 13:30 greatness of the Quran, where the 13:34 verses are arranged neatly, beautifully 13:38 arranged, containing monotheism, laws, 13:42 stories, and so on. Where Allah later 13:49 explains that this Quran cannot deviate 13:53 , cannot be wrong, and cannot take 13:56 sides except for the truth. Because 14:02 indeed, the One who revealed this Quran 14:04 is the One who is All-Wise and 14:06 All-Aware. So there is not a single 14:11 human need that is not mentioned and 14:13 explained by Allah in the Quran. 14:17 Established and simultaneously detailed 14:20 . The second verse, "that you worship," 14:27 "none but Allah.""Indeed, I am to you 14:33 from Him a warner and a bringer of good 14:35 tidings.""That you worship," so that 14:41 you do not worship, "none but Allah," 14:43 except Allah. "Indeed, I am," truly I, 14:49 the Messenger of Allah, "to you," for 14:53 you, "from Him," a warner and a bringer 14:57 of good tidings; the overall meaning of 15:01 the second verse: that you do not 15:05 worship anyone but Allah, indeed I, 15:09 Muhammad, am a warner and a bringer of 15:14 good news from Him. So this is what was 15:19 called out by the Messenger of Allah, 15:21 peace be upon him, and all the prophets 15:23 . What? That you should not worship 15:29 except to Allah, the Exalted. And at 15:36 the same time, he declared that he is a 15:40 warner and also a bringer of good 15:44 tidings. A warning for those who 15:48 deviate, and good news for those who 15:51 follow. Next, Allah states: "And seek 15:58 forgiveness of your Lord and repent to 16:03 Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good 16:08 provision for a specified term and give 16:14 every doer of favor his favor.""But if 16:20 you turn away, then indeed I fear for 16:23 you the punishment of""a great day."" 16:32 And seek forgiveness": and you ask for 16:36 forgiveness, "your Lord": to your Lord, 16:39 "and repent": then repent, "to Him": to 16:43 Him, "He will let you enjoy": then He 16:46 will give you enjoyment, "good 16:49 provision": with good enjoyment, "for a 16:52 specified term": at a time. "For a 16:58 specified term": at a set time, "and 17:02 give": and He will give, "every doer of 17:06 favor": to the person who possesses or 17:10 performs virtues, "his favor": His 17:14 bounty or grace, "but if you turn away" 17:18 : so if you turn away, "then indeed I": 17:22 then indeed I, the Messenger of Allah, 17:26 "fear": I am afraid, "for you": upon 17:30 you, "the punishment of a day": 17:33 punishment on a day, "great": that is 17:36 great. The overall meaning: And you 17:42 must ask for forgiveness from your Lord 17:46 and repent to Him, surely He will give 17:49 you good enjoyment until a determined 17:53 time limit. And He will give His grace 17:58 to every person who does good. And if 18:03 you turn away, indeed I fear for you 18:06 the punishment of a painful day, a 18:09 great punishment on the Day of 18:12 Resurrection. To be struck by 18:16 punishment on the Day of Resurrection. 18:20 This is his next appeal after inviting 18:23 people not to worship anyone other than 18:25 Allah. Then the Messenger invites 18:29 people to seek forgiveness. After that, 18:33 to repent. Seeking forgiveness usually 18:35 consists only of words. Ah, then it is 18:38 followed by repentance in the form of 18:40 actions. If we worship Allah, if we ask 18:45 for forgiveness, if we repent, Allah 18:50 promises to give us happiness in this 18:55 worldly life. Yes, so if you want to 18:59 feel happy living in this world, the 19:01 conditions are three: worship Allah, 19:03 seek forgiveness often, and repent, and 19:05 you will surely be happy in the world. 19:10 And Allah will grant His grace to those 19:13 who indeed perform righteous deeds. So 19:17 if a person performs righteous deeds, 19:19 they will attain virtue. And if we turn 19:25 away, they turn away, then the 19:28 Messenger states he fears that Allah's 19:31 punishment may come on a very great day 19:35 , namely the Day of Resurrection. 19:39 Furthermore, the fourth is "ilallahi 19:42 marjiukum""wahua ala kulliaiin qodir"" 19:52 ilallahi" to Allah, "marjiukum" your 19:55 return, "wahua" and He, "ala kulliin" 19:57 over all things, "qodirun" is 20:00 All-Powerful. The overall meaning is: 20:06 and to Allah is your return, and He is 20:08 All-Powerful over all things. After we 20:14 are given blessings by Allah Subhanahu 20:16 wa ta'ala in this world for a 20:19 predetermined time and we are given 20:21 virtue because of our righteous 20:24 behavior. So if you want to gain virtue 20:27 , the condition is that your behavior 20:28 must be righteous. Then we must be 20:32 returned to Allah to account for 20:34 everything we have done. And Allah is 20:38 All-Powerful over everything. 20:43 Furthermore, Allah explains some of 20:45 those who reject the call of the 20:47 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 20:50 The fifth verse. "Ala innahum yathnuna 20:55 sudurahum liyastakhfu minhu.""Ala hina 21:01 yastaghshuna""ya'lamu maa yusirruna 21:07 wama yu'linun""innahu' alimun 21:13 bidzati-shudur.""Remember,""innahum" 21:22 indeed they, "yathnuna" they turn away, 21:26 "sudurahum" their chests, "liyastakhfu" 21:30 so they can hide, "minhu" from Him. " 21:38 Ala" remember, "yastaghshuna" when they 21:42 wrap themselves, "tsiyabahum" with 21:45 their garments, "ya'lamu" He knows, "ma 21:49 yusirruna" what they conceal, "wama" 21:52 and what, "yu'linun" they reveal, " 21:55 innahu 'alimun" indeed He is 21:58 All-Knowing, "bidzati-shudur" of what 22:04 is in the chests. The overall meaning. 22:10 The fifth verse, remember that the 22:14 hypocrites turn their chests away to 22:18 hide themselves from Him. Meaning the 22:22 Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. 22:26 Remember when they wrap themselves in 22:30 their clothes, Allah knows what they 22:35 conceal and what they reveal. Indeed, 22:40 Allah is All-Knowing of everything 22:42 within their hearts. Allah describes 22:46 how people want to avoid the truth, 22:49 from what is conveyed by the Messenger 22:52 of Allah, peace be upon him. Their 22:57 behavior is described by their turning 22:59 away their chests. So they do not want 23:02 it; when they receive guidance, they 23:05 actually turn away. Then they hide 23:08 themselves. Not only hiding themselves, 23:14 they cover themselves with their 23:17 clothes, thinking that with that, Allah 23:21 does not know. Now, this is the... 23:26 foolishness of the hypocrites. They 23:30 hide themselves behind their clothes. 23:35 They think Allah does not know. Allah 23:37 knows well what they hide. And Allah is 23:43 all-knowing, Allah knows what they 23:45 reveal. Indeed, Allah is all-knowing of 23:50 what is in their hearts. Well, so these 23:58 are the bad behaviors performed by the 24:01 enemies of Allah. Whether when the 24:06 Messenger was still in Mecca facing the 24:10 disbelievers or when he was in Medina 24:13 facing the hypocrites, their behavior 24:17 is as described by Allah SWT here, 24:20 which is what? Bending their backs. 24:25 Some translate it as turning away. So 24:29 they bow their heads as if trying to 24:33 fold their stomachs so they do not hear 24:36 the Qur'an. They hide when the 24:41 Messenger recites the Qur'an. So that 24:46 he does not see when they oppose or 24:54 defy him in such a way, so he does not 24:57 see them when the verses are revealed, 25:01 as if they are striking their own heads 25:04 . So, that is, brothers, the behavior 25:10 of the disbelievers and the hypocrites 25:15 when the Qur'an is recited to them; 25:19 they turn away, they hide, and they 25:23 even cover themselves with their 25:27 clothes. Hopefully, we can stay away 25:33 from such behavior. Instead, we very 25:37 much want to continue listening to the 25:40 Qur'an. Because this is indeed the 25:43 source of happiness that Allah 25:45 mentioned earlier. Yumatium mataan 25:48 hasanah. The good pleasure that we feel 25:53 in this world when we listen to the 25:55 Qur'an. Brothers and sisters, that is 26:00 all we can convey. Hopefully it is 26:04 useful, I apologize for all my 26:06 shortcomings, thank you all. Let us end 26:10 tonight's session by reciting the 26:13 kaffaratul majlis prayer. 26:16 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu 26:20 alla ilahailla anta astagfiruka wa 26:24 atubu ilaik. Assalamu alaikum 26:28 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
