Today we are continuing 1:39 last week's theme, right? Yes. 1:42 >> Regarding the mercy of Allah for those 1:44 who know and are aware of their own 1:46 limits, Ustaz. 1:48 >> And now the theme is about 1:51 >> the difference between respect and 1:54 extreme veneration. 1:55 >> Yes. 1:56 >> Masyaallah. So in Arabic, *bainal 1:58 ihtiram** 2:01 >> wat-taqdis*, between the attitude of 2:04 respect and*taqdis*, which is extreme 2:08 veneration. 2:10 >> What is the difference? 2:11 >> Yes. 2:12 >> We will study and reflect on this from 2:14 the bayan of the Quran, the Sunnah of 2:17 Prophet Muhammad, and also from the 2:19 sayings of the righteous. God willing, 2:21 may He grant it. 2:22 >> God willing. 2:23 >> Masyaallah. Are you well? 2:24 >> Alhamdulillah, Ustaz. Very well. 2:26 >> Like the Sundanese people say, *kumaha 2:27 damang*, right? 2:27 >> How are you? Are you well? 2:28 >> Alhamdulillah. 2:29 >> Alhamdulillah. 2:30 >> I just got back yesterday from 2:31 >> Sukabumi. Oh. 2:32 >> In Sukabumi. Where in Sukabumi, Ustaz? 2:34 >> The Pulau Air area. There was an event 2:36 there. I see. I see. 2:37 >> Yes, just took a motorcycle as usual. 2:39 >> Wow, impressive. 2:40 >> Jakarta to Sukabumi. 2:42 >> It’s smooth now, right? 2:44 >> Yes. Well, I heard there is a toll road 2:46 that is almost finished, it seems? 2:48 >> Yes. The Bocimi toll road. 2:49 >> Bocimi, yes. 2:50 >> But it seems it's not finished all the 2:51 way to Sukabumi yet, right? It just 2:52 reached Cibadak. 2:53 >> Not yet to Cibadak, right? Yesterday I 2:54 passed by near the Tipar Islamic 2:55 boarding school. 2:56 >> Yes. 2:56 >> Ajengan Masturah, and Habib Syech bin 2:58 Salim Alattas is there. 2:59 >> After that, there’s a pit stop, I 3:01 think? Yes. 3:02 >> Near the mosque, right? Well, hopefully 3:03 once it’s tidy, it will be 3:04 comfortable. 3:05 >> Yes. 3:06 >> Smooth. If you take the regular road, 3:08 well... 3:09 >> even though the toll road already 3:10 reaches Cibadak or Parung Kuda, right? 3:12 >> Kuda. 3:12 >> Yes. But there are still markets, 3:14 >> market spots—those are the sources of 3:16 traffic jams, masyaallah, the crowds, 3:18 >> due to people being so kind, right? Yes 3:20 . 3:20 >> Cibadak has many rhinos, and in Cicuruk 3:23 the water floods, right? 3:25 >> Like that. 3:26 >> Masyaallah. 3:27 >> Alright, God willing, may there be 3:28 blessings in all of this, God willing. 3:31 Alright Ustaz, let's listen to what you 3:33 have to say this afternoon. 3:35 >> Mashallah. 3:36 >> Between respect and deification. What 3:39 is the difference? Are they the same? 3:40 Are they similar, or what is it? 3:42 >> Or perhaps I'm forgetting, but they 3:43 aren't the same, right? 3:43 >> Yes, that's right, Ustaz. 3:45 >> Alright, God willing, we will start 3:46 first from the Quran, Surah An-Najm. 3:48 Let us begin by reciting the Ummul 3:50 Quran, Surah Al-Fatihah. We beseech 3:53 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, may Allah be 3:55 pleased to make us all, the listeners 3:58 of Radio Silaturahim AM720 or the 4:00 viewers of Rasil TV, and also the 4:03 listeners of radios that synergize with 4:06 Radio Silaturahim, who join in 4:08 broadcasting the studies of Radio 4:10 Silaturahim for one Islam, yes, for a 4:13 united Indonesia. Alright, those in 4:17 Sukabumi, what is it called? 4:18 >> Latansa FM. 4:19 >> Latan FM. Then those in Semarang, those 4:24 in Jogja, Magelang, Banyuwangi, Banyu 4:27 Biru, 4:28 >> right, and up to Bali. Or those joining 4:31 the broadcast in the Sumatra islands, 4:33 in Palembang, Batam, 4:35 >> up to Aceh. Aceh is there. 4:37 >> Aceh. Also, in the neighboring land, 4:40 Malaysia and Johor. 4:41 >> Uh, Singapore and Johor. Then those 4:43 broadcasting in the Kalimantan island 4:45 region, which until now Allah is still 4:48 testing. 4:49 >> Indeed. 4:50 >> For its residents, where one official 4:53 arrogantly 4:54 >> gave a message to be patient 4:57 >> right, in enduring what, uh, 5:01 >> the trial. 5:02 >> This haze trial, right. Eh, suddenly 5:05 they visit there, and after a while, 5:06 they are already using oxygen. What 5:09 about the people there who have been 5:11 enduring it for days, for weeks? Yes. 5:14 >> Mashallah. Only for the sake of desire, 5:16 they say. The desires of a handful of 5:18 people 5:19 >> who want to exploit the vast forest 5:21 land in Kalimantan. 5:23 >> Yeah. 5:23 >> They must cause destruction there. 5:25 >> Yes. And also those in the Sulawesi 5:28 islands through their Palu stream, even 5:30 up to Papua, and there are even 5:32 listeners in Australia. 5:33 >> There are. 5:34 >> There are, mashallah. 5:35 >> Streaming, we are streaming. 5:36 >> Streaming, right. 5:36 >> It reaches the whole world if it's 5:37 streaming. 5:38 >> Oh, with Ustaz, what, Radio Raden 5:39 International, right? 5:41 >> Alhamdulillah, hopefully Allah grants 5:42 blessings and benefits, amin allahuma. 5:44 >> Amin ya Rabbal Alamin. 5:45 >> Now, let's start by reciting the Ummul 5:48 Quran, praying to Allah that He makes 5:50 us all Ahlil Quran, whether the 5:52 resource persons, listeners, then the 5:54 crew, Kang Ate, Stef, Kang Algi, and 5:56 the friends from what is it called? 5:59 >> Interns. 5:59 >> Interns, right, students. 6:03 >> Uh, at the broadcast school and others, 6:06 or those who are listening on Radio 6:09 Silaturahim or Rasil TV. May Allah 6:14 Ta'ala grant us all long lives in 6:18 righteous deeds. And may Allah grant 6:22 mercy, forgiveness, guidance, and 6:24 direction for us all. May Allah make us 6:26 of the Quran. May Allah open up halal, 6:28 blessed, and abundant sustenance for us 6:30 all. And let us not forget, may Allah 6:33 soon grant relief, health, protection, 6:36 and safety for the citizens who are 6:39 currently undergoing the trial of 6:41 forest fire disasters and its effects, 6:44 which even reach abroad. May Allah 6:47 grant forgiveness. Because surely for a 6:50 believer, whatever is felt, including 6:52 pain, 6:54 >> serves as an expiation for sins and 6:56 elevates one's status before Allah 6:57 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 6:59 >> And let us not forget, in particular, 7:02 to pray for our teacher, the founder of 7:04 Radio Silaturahim, Ustaz Husein bin 7:06 Hamid bin Hud Alattas, and also our 7:09 teachers elsewhere: Ustaz Hamzah bin 7:11 Atas Al-Attas, Al Habib Umar bin Ahmad 7:14 Alatas, then our father K. 7:16 Muhammad Ihya Ulumiddin, our father 7:18 Kiai Syihabuddin in Malang, East Java, 7:20 and also Abuya K. H. Ghazali Musanif in 7:23 Jakarta. Then our teachers in the city 7:27 of Tarim, Hadramaut, 7:30 >> Al Habib Umar bin Muhammad bin Hafiz, 7:32 Al Habib Abu Bakar bin Muhammad 7:34 Balfaqih, and our other teachers who 7:36 are in foreign lands, Malaysia and 7:38 Thailand, or those in parts of the 7:40 Middle East, even Iraq. There is Sheikh 7:44 Saleh, Fadil Saleh Assamir Albaghdadi, 7:46 and Sayid Kamal Bagir Al-Haidari. Then, 7:49 we also must not forget to pray for 7:52 Abuya Sayid Ahmad bin Muhammad 7:54 Al-Maliki in Makkah, Al Habib Zain 7:56 Ibrahim bin Sumait in Madinah, Sheikh 7:58 Mahmud Sirat in the city of Makkah, and 8:01 then also our other teachers who are in 8:03 Austria, Dr. Anan Ibrahim Alhasni, and 8:05 others. May Allah, the Almighty, always 8:09 provide protection and guardianship for 8:11 them all, grant them health and 8:13 wellness, utility for the ummah, and 8:15 patience in enduring the trials of 8:17 insults and taunts from those who do 8:18 not recognize the essence and nobility 8:20 of this knowledge. Ala hadiniyah wa 8:24 niatin shihah wa ila hadratin nabiil 8:27 mustofa Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wa 8:29 alihi wasallam. Al-Fatihah. 8:34 A'udhubillahi minash-shaytanir-rajim. 8:40 Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim. 8:45 Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin, 8:47 Ar-rahmanir-rahim. Maliki yawmid-din. 8:54 Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. 8:58 Ihdinas-siratal-mustaqim. An'amta 9:05 ghayril-maghdubi' alayhim. Rabbighfirli 9:13 waliwalidayya walil-mu'minin. Amin. 9:19 A'udhubillahi sami'il 'alimi 9:21 minash-shaytanir-rajim. And to Allah 9:26 belongs whatever is in the heavens and 9:28 the earth, that He may recompense those 9:38 who do evil with what they have done 9:40 and reward those who do good with the 9:42 best. Those who avoid the major sins 9:47 and immoralities, only committing minor 9:50 ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in 9:54 forgiveness. He is most knowing of you 9:57 when He produced you from your mothers' 10:08 wombs, so do not claim yourselves to be 10:11 pure; He is most knowing of who fears 10:14 Him. Sadaqallahul Al-Aliyyul- 'Adzim, 10:23 wa sadaqa 10:24 rasulun-nabiyyul-habibul-karim, wa 10:25 nahnu' ala dhalika minash-shahidin. 10:32 Allah. Alhamdulillah, brothers and 10:38 sisters, we say peace of Allah be upon 10:41 you all, His mercy, His blessings, His 10:43 forgiveness, and His pleasure. To all 10:48 of you who are listening and tuning in 10:51 to the midday study session on Radio 10:53 Silaturahim AM 720 today. Barakallahu 10:57 fikum all. Brothers and sisters who are 10:59 blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 11:02 Our theme this afternoon continues from 11:05 the title or theme of our previous 11:08 meeting regarding the expression 11:10 rahimallahu imru'an or rajulan 'arafa 11:16 qadra nafsih. May Allah always grant 11:21 His mercy to someone who recognizes and 11:25 is aware of their own measure. Allahu 11:30 Akbar. It is of great value 11:33 >> when someone reaches the level of being 11:36 able to know themselves. And a person 11:41 who has' arafa nafsahu faqad 'arafa 11:44 rabbahu. Someone who has recognized 11:48 their own measure, scale, and capacity 11:51 will have the hope or indication to 11:54 ascend to the next level of being able 11:56 to recognize their Lord. 12:00 >> Hm. Yes, true gnosis, knowing Allah in 12:04 the truest and most genuine way. Now, 12:09 when can someone be said to have truly 12:12 known their God? When they have known 12:16 His boundaries. A person called someone 12:19 who knows God is known as al-arif 12:21 billah. Nowadays, many people easily 12:26 label someone who looks pious, speaks 12:30 well, and whose rhetoric is beautiful 12:33 as al-arif billah, someone who has 12:37 known Allah. Now, who is someone who 12:43 can be called or labeled as al-arif 12:45 billah, one who knows their God? It is 12:51 when that person has known the 12:56 boundaries established by God in His 13:01 holy words. That is the sign. Do they 13:07 know God's boundaries? What is 13:08 permitted and what is not? What is good 13:11 , what is bad, what is the best of the 13:14 good, what is the lesser of two evils, 13:16 and so on. Known the boundaries that 13:22 have been set by God. Or we can 13:27 conclude that an arif billah is a godly 13:31 scholar. Possessing much information 13:36 and knowledge sourced from the Quran, 13:39 while also being someone who practices 13:42 God's guidance. However, surely, this 13:49 is not felt by the person themselves, 13:52 but rather by others who observe them. 13:57 They simply apply what is conveyed by 14:00 God in His holy book and carry out 14:03 whatever God has decreed, without ever 14:07 thinking of becoming someone—my 14:10 goodness—someone who is an arif 14:14 billah or holy; that does not exist. 14:18 They only carry out the commands 14:20 described in the Quran, "mukhlisina 14:23 lahu ad-din." Solely sincere, pure, 14:28 only seeking salvation on the day of 14:31 reckoning, the day of judgment and 14:34 retribution. Their good behavior and 14:38 the boundaries they understand are then 14:41 applied to their life, their path, and 14:44 their lifestyle. Sincere for the sake 14:47 of Allah. Only seeking the countenance 14:49 of Allah. 14:50 >> Or in our colloquial terms, 14:54 >> a sincere person is someone who is 14:55 always a "carmuk."" 14:57 >> Carmuk," seeking favor. 14:59 >> Seeking favor, but seeking it from 15:01 Allah, not from others. 15:03 >> Pure for the sake of His countenance. 15:06 Pure, sincere, only wanting to seek the 15:08 countenance, 15:09 >> to be seen and noticed by Allah. 15:13 >> That is all. That is why in the Quran, 15:16 the word "mukhlasin" appears more often 15:19 than "mukhlisin."" 15:22 >> Mukhlis" is the one who is sincere. 15:24 >> Heh. 15:25 >> While "mukhlas" is one who is given 15:27 help by Allah to be able to be sincere. 15:30 >> Yes. 15:31 >> That is the portrait of an arif billah. 15:34 Yes. Now, the verse we opened with and 15:38 read at the beginning of our meeting 15:41 this afternoon is the word of Allah 15:44 Subhanahu wa ta'ala found in the Quran, 15:47 Surah An-Najm, verses 31 and 32. Allah 15:52 jalla jalaluhu says, "Walillahi ma 15:55 fis-samawati wa fil-ard." And to Allah 15:59 alone belongs whatever is in the 16:00 heavens and the earth. So, in the 16:02 grammar rules, Kang Fahri, 16:05 >> when there is a sentence, "walillahi ma 16:09 fis-samawati," 16:12 >> in translation, it is similar to "ma 16:16 fis-samawati lillah," it is the same, 16:20 but there is a difference, the value is 16:23 not the same. 16:24 >> i 16:24 >> Yes, "lillahi ma fis samawati wa ma fil 16:28 ard" implies taksis. 16:30 >> Yes, it means exclusive ownership. 16:33 >> Hm. 16:35 >> So "walillahi", and only exclusively 16:37 belonging to Allah, "ma fis samawati wa 16:39 ma fil ard". Whatever is in the heavens 16:43 and also what is on the earth belongs 16:45 to Allah, not to anyone else. So if we 16:48 take an example like, uh this glass 16:53 >> yes 16:54 >> belongs to Brother Fahri. This glass 16:57 belongs to Brother Fahri. compared to 17:01 the sentence, "this glass is mine." The 17:06 first phrase still allows for the 17:08 ownership to shift or become someone 17:11 else's. 17:12 >> Hm. 17:13 >> This glass is mine. So, this glass 17:15 belongs to Brother Fahri, but it could 17:17 also become mine. 17:18 >> Hm. 17:19 >> When I say "this glass belongs to 17:21 Brother Fahri," 17:22 >> other people still have the chance to 17:24 own it. Hm. 17:26 >> But "this glass is mine," that means 17:31 something else. "This glass is mine" 17:33 means no one else can claim it. 17:36 >> Heh. 17:36 >> Let alone take it. "Lillahi ma fis 17:39 samawati wa ma fil ard." Only to Allah 17:42 belongs what is in the heavens and the 17:45 earth. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 17:50 revealing this actually has a purpose. 17:54 First, "liyajzialladzina asauu bima 17:58 amilu." Allah has a purpose to give a 18:04 recompense to everyone who does evil, 18:08 yes, in accordance with what they have 18:13 done. Now, remember, so people don't 18:18 act like this, if they understand the 18:20 message of "walillahi ma fis samawati 18:22 wa ma fil ard," they won't dare to 18:24 commit crimes in the heavens or 18:27 >> on earth, because they know and realize 18:30 >> that the heavens and earth belong only 18:33 to Allah. 18:34 >> Their existence here is just as a guest 18:37 . 18:37 >> Hm. 18:38 >> If we are guests in someone's house, we 18:40 have to know our place, right? 18:41 >> Yes, we must know our place. Don't just 18:43 damage things, don't just do 18:45 inappropriate things that might make 18:47 the host angry with us. 18:49 >> Yes, correct. 18:51 >> So this verse carries an important 18:52 message, you know. This verse is 18:55 prioritized, even with such a specific 18:57 word arrangement for Allah. "Walillahi 19:00 ma fis samawati wa ma fil ard." 19:03 Exclusively belonging to Allah is what 19:06 is in the heavens and earth 19:10 >> so that Allah is able and willing to 19:12 give a fitting recompense for the deeds 19:15 of those who commit evil and corruption 19:18 on earth. 19:19 >> Yes. 19:20 >> or in the heavens. Now, if a person 19:22 understands the saying, "rahimallahu 19:24 imraan arafa qadra nafsihi," 19:27 >> Allah will always grant mercy to those 19:29 who know and are aware of their own 19:31 limits. So when they realize "arafa 19:36 qadra nafsihi" that they are just 19:39 guests, 19:43 >> yes, on this earth and heaven belonging 19:46 to Allah, then they will always guard 19:48 their words, attitudes, and deeds. 19:52 Don't ever do anything that the host 19:55 who owns it 19:57 >> dislikes. 19:58 >> Yes. Yes. 19:59 >> That is the first purpose. And the 20:01 second purpose, "waajzialladzina ahsanu 20:03 bil husna." This is the beauty of 20:06 Islamic teachings, Fahri. 20:07 >> Yes. 20:09 >> Islamic teachings in another verse of 20:11 the Quran, Surah Al-An'am, Allah 20:13 describes with His word, "Man jaa bil 20:15 hasanati falahu asyru amsaliha." 20:19 Whoever comes to face their Lord 20:22 bringing one perfect good deed? So 20:28 Allah informs, "Falahu asyru amsaliha." 20:34 He will be given a reward tenfold of 20:38 what he brings before his Lord. I 20:43 >> if he brings it with perfection, he 20:45 will get 10 times over 20:46 >> 10 20:47 >> plus what he brought, 11 as the reward 20:50 >> in total. Conversely, "Waman jaa 20:55 bisayiati fala yujza illa mitslaha 20:58 wahum la yudlamun." And whoever comes 21:04 before the Lord bringing one bad deed, 21:10 one evil. Allah will not give a reward 21:14 except for a reward equal to what he 21:17 did. 21:20 >> And uniquely, Allah closes that verse, 21:22 "wahum la yudlamun." And they all, 21:27 whether they did what you call evil, 21:31 let alone those who do good, will not 21:35 be wronged by Allah. Because Allah " 21:39 laisa bidhallamin lil' abid." Allah "la 21:42 yuhibbudzimin." Allah does not like the 21:45 wrongdoers, and Allah has forbidden 21:47 Himself from being unjust. And Allah 21:51 will not wrong even those who are evil. 21:55 >> Allah will not wrong them. Then how 21:56 about those who are good? This is what 21:59 we need to...The beauty of Islamic 22:01 teachings. As mentioned here, Allah 22:04 states that He intends to give a fair 22:07 reward to those who commit evil. 22:11 >> And Allah gives a reward to every one 22:13 of us here 22:15 >> who performs perfect good deeds with an 22:18 even more perfect reward. 22:21 >> MashaAllah. " 22:22 >> Wajzialladzina ahsanu bil husna." Those 22:27 who come before Allah bringing perfect 22:29 virtues, Allah will give a manifold, 22:32 perfect reward. "Fahal jazaul ihsan 22:36 illal ihsan." Is there any reward for 22:40 ihsan except ihsan that is better than 22:43 what they did? Because Allah Subhanahu 22:46 wa ta'ala is the Most Perfect. If a 22:49 person has strived to achieve 22:51 perfection in virtue, then never worry, 22:54 for Allah will surely give a more 22:57 perfect reward. Allahu Akbar. 23:00 >> MashaAllah. 23:00 >> Right. Then who does Allah refer to as 23:04 the ones who do ihsan, whom He promised 23:08 to reward "bil husna" with better and 23:11 perfect goodness? "Alladzina," those 23:16 who "yajtanibuna" have the effort to 23:23 always distance, distance, distance 23:26 themselves from what? First, "al-ithm." 23:30 Second, "al-fawahisy." Al-fawahisy. 23:34 >> Yes. People who have the desire, not 23:39 just what you call distance, but have 23:41 the effort and the desire to try to 23:44 stay away. 23:46 >> Yes. 23:46 >> Al-kabair, already. " 23:49 >> Kabairal ithmi," from the great ones of 23:52 what is called "al-ithm." What is "ithm 23:55 "? The translation is sin. 23:57 >> Hm. But the word "al-ithm" is, as 24:01 explained by the Prophet in a hadith, " 24:04 Al-ithmu ma haaka fi sadrika," 24:07 something that disturbs or pricks at 24:10 our conscience. " 24:13 >> Watakhafu an yattali'a 'alaihin-nas." 24:17 And you are afraid 24:20 >> yes, you are afraid if others find out 24:23 about it. What is that called? Al-ithm, 24:26 sin. 24:27 >> Yeah. Sin in our language, right? 24:28 >> Yes. 24:29 >> If "dosa"(sin) in Indian language, it's 24:30 bread. 24:31 >> Oh, is that so? 24:32 >> Yes. If Brother Hari stops by an Indian 24:34 shop, an Indian supermarket, 24:37 >> there's what? There's something called 24:40 prata. 24:40 >> Yes. 24:41 >> Roti Prata, right? 24:42 >> What other bread is there? The one like 24:44 Maryam bread. 24:45 >> right? There is something called sin. 24:48 >> Hm. 24:49 >> Sin is also like a bun. 24:50 >> So there is 24:51 >> something like a Bapau. So this word " 24:53 sin" is in our language. If translated, 24:55 the meaning is different. But that word 24:58 is something that nags, tickles our 25:01 heart 25:02 >> from deeds, actions we are afraid 25:05 others will find out. 25:07 >> Secrets like that, right. That is 25:10 called sin. Meaning. 25:16 >> That is sin. That's the first thing. So 25:19 the people that Allah Ta'ala calls 25:21 alladzina ahsanu are those who have the 25:23 effort, the desire, and the attempt to 25:26 distance themselves 25:28 >> from kabairal itmi, the major sins. 25:33 >> Wal fawahisy. Wal fawahisy. And also 25:37 fahisyah acts. Various kinds of 25:40 fahisyah acts. 25:41 >> What is fahisyah? Uh, fahisyah is more 25:44 than sayiah. Like in the Quran, Surah 25:48 Al-An'am, Allah says, "Whoever comes 25:51 with a good deed will have ten times 25:54 the like thereof...and they will not be 25:58 wronged," sayiah is a dirty, vile, evil 26:01 , bad act that destroys the purity of 26:05 the human heart. 26:07 >> H 26:08 >> Allah created us in a clean state, 26:10 right? 26:10 >> True. Well, what is called alfahisyah, 26:14 uh, assayyah, is a sinful act, 26:18 >> a crime, an evil that tarnishes the 26:22 purity of our heart and soul. Then its 26:29 bad effects only fall upon the 26:31 perpetrator. H 26:32 >> it does not involve others or harm 26:35 third parties or, uh, or other parties. 26:39 >> That is called sayiah. 26:40 >> Yes. 26:41 >> Example: waking up late at night. 26:44 >> Hmm. 26:45 >> Not praying. 26:46 >> We are the ones who lose. 26:47 >> Not fasting. If I do that, is Kang Pari 26:51 affected? 26:52 >> No. 26:52 >> No. 26:53 >> No. 26:54 >> It's personal, right. 26:55 >> Well. Yes. No bearer of burdens shall 26:57 bear the burden 26:58 >> of another. 26:59 >> Then how come? There is a saying that 27:02 parents get the sin too. 27:04 >> Now, how is that? 27:04 >> If a child doesn't pray, 27:07 >> the one who doesn't pray is the child, 27:09 >> the child doesn't cover their aura, the 27:10 one who sins is the child. Yes. 27:12 >> Why are the parents affected too? It's 27:15 in the sense that the parents did not 27:17 provide education, 27:18 >> h 27:19 >> nor set an example to do those things. 27:23 >> So they are hit with sin 27:24 >> not because their child didn't pray, 27:26 but because of negligence and being lax 27:28 as the person responsible who was given 27:30 the trust. 27:31 >> Yes. 27:31 >> Not introducing, not teaching, 27:34 >> not habituating, not setting an example 27:37 , or educating them. 27:38 >> That's part of the sin then, is it? 27:40 >> Getting a share of the sin in that case 27:41 . That's it. Yes. 27:42 >> But if it's sayiah, it's only for 27:43 yourself, right. 27:44 >> Yes. 27:44 >> Now, if it's fahisyah, it involves 27:46 other people 27:49 >> or other people become victims 27:51 >> of the fahisyah perpetrator. So it is a 27:52 sinful act, a crime, an evil that 27:55 dirties the heart and involves others. 27:58 Example: adultery. 28:00 >> H. 28:00 >> How about this, what do you call it? 28:01 Dating. 28:02 >> Dating is not allowed. 28:04 >> Dating isn't necessarily forbidden. 28:06 >> Don't do it. 28:06 >> No need. 28:07 >> It's even part of that fahisyah. 28:09 >> Fahisyah. 28:09 >> Why? Because it invites others to get 28:11 involved in doing that crime and evil. 28:13 >> Yes. Yes. A 28:14 >> thing that ruins the purity of the 28:16 heart, yes, corruption, 28:18 >> what else is there? 28:19 >> Nepotism. 28:19 >> Yes. 28:20 >> Bribery. Bribery, yes, that is part of 28:23 what is called fahsyah (immorality). 28:26 Now, the people whom Allah mentioned 28:28 earlier are those referred to as the 28:30 muhsin, those who perform ihsan toward 28:32 the Lord. They are those who have the 28:37 desire and effort to distance 28:39 themselves from major sins and acts of 28:41 fahisyah, illal lamam. Except, yes, 28:46 except for small mistakes. 28:50 >> Hm. 28:51 >> This is important. Al-lamam means, uh, 28:55 what is it called? Small lapses, 29:00 >> not major ones, 29:01 >> and that is natural. 29:05 >> It applies to anyone, 29:08 >> yes, even to a prophet. 29:12 >> Like that. 29:13 >> Wait, aren't they supposed to be maksum 29:14 (infallible)? 29:14 >> Yes, they are protected. " 29:16 >> Protected" here has its own context in 29:20 the Quran regarding the case of ismah 29:23 or the infallibility of a prophet and 29:27 messenger, but generally, he 29:31 >> what is meant is that prophets and 29:32 messengers are maksum, protected from 29:35 mistakes and sins in one matter, 29:37 >> in the matter of tablighur risalah, 29:40 >> conveying, 29:41 >> conveying the Lord's message, it is 29:43 impossible for them to be wrong. 29:45 >> It is guaranteed by Allah. 29:46 >> Guaranteed, yes, but for other mistakes 29:48 , that falls into the realm of 29:49 khilafiyah (scholarly difference). 29:51 >> Later we will discuss on this radio 29:53 rasul the concept of 29:55 >> maksum or ismah. 29:57 >> For prophets, messengers, and the 29:59 family of the messenger. We will 30:01 discuss that, right? 30:03 >> Yes. 30:03 >> Well, alright. Illalamam. Except for 30:07 small things. Kang Fari, there is an 30:10 expression, a piece of Arabic wisdom, 30:14 >> yes. It goes like this. Likulli jawadin 30:18 kabwah. Likulli jawadin kabwah. 30:22 >> Kabwah. Walikulli shorimin au sihamin 30:27 nabwah. Yes. Then, walikulli alimin 30:33 hafwah. Walikulli alimin hafwah. Every 30:39 jawad. What is that? Jawad. Jawad is, 30:42 what do you call it, a horse? An agile 30:45 horse used in racing. 30:48 >> H. 30:48 >> Basically a great horse. That is the 30:50 description of Jawad, skin, there are 30:53 many kinds. Kha. 30:55 >> Hisson, then again Jawad, 30:59 >> yes. Jawad means an agile horse used 31:02 for what? For racing, for running 31:03 matches. 31:04 >> Like Australian horses, right? 31:05 >> Uh, speaking of Australian horses or 31:06 Arabian horses, yes. 31:08 >> Yes. The price is expensive. 31:10 >> It could be billions or more, yes. As 31:14 clever, as agile as this horse is, he 31:18 >> surely must have stumbled. 31:20 >> Hm. 31:21 >> Surely must have stumbled. 31:22 >> Yes. 31:22 >> It cannot be otherwise. 31:24 >> It falls, even if only once in its 31:27 lifetime. 31:27 >> H. 31:28 >> That is jawad. Then the second, 31:31 walikulli shorimin au sihamin nabwah. 31:34 >> H. 31:36 >> And for every sharp sword, sharp, yes, 31:41 or an arrow that flies so fast, 31:48 >> there are times, once in a while, 31:50 >> yes, 31:51 >> it misses, 31:51 >> yes, 31:53 >> it doesn't hit or have an effect. And 31:57 the last one, walikulli alimin hafwah, 31:59 and for every learned person, scholar, 32:02 or intellectual, whatever knowledge 32:05 they possess, there is still an 32:07 occasional error, 32:11 >> in speaking, making a statement, or 32:14 acting, there is a mistake. 32:15 >> So, there is no one who is fully 32:17 perfect then, Ustaz? Yes. 32:18 >> No, there is not. 32:18 >> There is a small gap that allows for 32:20 that, right? 32:21 >> There isn't. Except for this human 32:23 being, 32:24 >> Sayidina Muhammad, may Allah bless him 32:26 and grant him peace. 32:28 >> He, from before he was born, had no 32:31 flaws. 32:33 >> When he was born, he had no flaws. From 32:36 birth, through childhood and 32:37 adolescence until adulthood and passing 32:39 away, there wasn't a single flaw. He 32:42 was indeed guarded by Allah Ta'ala. 32:44 >> Yes. 32:44 >> Perfected by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 32:46 Because He was sent by Allah Ta'ala to 32:49 be an image, a representation, a 32:52 reflection of the glory and perfection 32:56 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala and His 32:59 absolute, perfect teachings. So, He was 33:04 chosen as the most supreme among those 33:07 living during His time. 33:10 >> Many people lived alongside Him, right? 33:11 >> Yes. 33:11 >> Those of the same age, the elders, but 33:14 Allah chose Him. Why? 33:15 >> He was chosen. 33:16 >> Oh, chosen, I see. In the language of 33:19 the Qur'an, there is the term' mustafa 33:20 '. 33:21 >> Mustafa. 33:23 >> The chosen one, the best of the best, 33:25 and even the ultimate of the best. 33:29 >> Masha Allah. 33:30 >> Being chosen is truly special, Sir. 33:32 Like a contestant. If it's a song 33:34 contest, you get selected. 33:36 >> Right. Yes, being selected like that is 33:37 different, right? For us, ordinary 33:40 human beings. 33:42 >> Yeah. 33:43 >> Are there flaws? 33:45 >> There are. 33:45 >> Since when? 33:47 >> Since birth, maybe. 33:48 >> Huh? I don't know. 33:49 >> Since before birth. 33:50 >> Even before birth? Yes. 33:51 >> Oh. There is a story like this. How 33:54 does a mother feel when pregnant? Oh, 33:57 it was already troublesome in the womb. 34:01 A heavy burden. 34:02 >> That's it. 34:02 >> Wow, just imagine. 34:04 >> Starting from the womb, there were 34:07 already flaws. It's such a pity, right? 34:10 >> This is an illustration, an image. 34:11 >> H. 34:13 >> An illustration of our Prophet Muhammad 34:14 in stories, although it is a story, it 34:16 is truly in accordance with reality, 34:18 regardless of the source of the story. 34:22 Even during pregnancy, His mother never 34:24 felt any burden. Peace and blessings of 34:31 Allah be upon Him, His mother, Aminah. 34:37 >> During her pregnancy, she never felt 34:38 anything. 34:40 >> No pain, no complaints, no heaviness at 34:43 all. Look at when He was born or when 34:48 He came into the world. H. 34:51 >> Ordinary people have unpleasant stories 34:53 about their children, right? 34:54 >> Yes. 34:55 >> Oh, I already have three kids, the 34:58 fourth is such a handful. 35:00 >> Breech birth. 35:01 >> Breech birth or whatever else. Before 35:05 they're even out, there are already 35:06 ugly words, bad stories, or unpleasant 35:08 memories. 35:08 >> Yeah. 35:09 >> When they are born, it's the same. Gosh 35:11 , the mother faints, or some mothers 35:13 even pass away. Oh God, you were 35:16 already a burden to your parents when 35:18 you were born, right? Yes. 35:21 >> Forget about birth, does your mother 35:23 even know? Wait, this isn't my real 35:24 mother, Sir. This is your stepmother. 35:28 >> Your biological mother died when she 35:29 gave birth to you. 35:30 >> You are so troublesome. Yes. 35:32 >> Right? It's pitiable, isn't it? Just 35:34 imagine, that's just the beginning. 35:36 >> Starting from childhood. Oh, there's 35:38 the label of the bed-wetter. 35:40 >> The one who throws tantrums. You were 35:43 different from birth until you were 2 35:44 years old. Gosh. Mom and Dad couldn't 35:49 sleep at night because you were always 35:51 crying, very whiny—the labels are 35:53 already there. 35:54 >> Yes. 35:54 >> Still little. 35:56 >> And then in adolescence, there's more 35:58 in school. Oh, the stories are just 36:00 incredible. 36:02 >> Right, from kindergarten until college 36:05 there were always cases, almost 36:07 expelled, this and that, that's the 36:09 story, isn't it? 36:11 >> Yeah. Well, then later 36:13 >> same thing when married, that's how 36:15 life goes. The good thing is when dying 36:18 it was a husnul khatimah. 36:20 >> That’s the lucky part. 36:21 >> Huh? That’s why in our terminology, " 36:23 maulid" is only for the Prophet. 36:25 >> Yeah. 36:27 >> Why aren't there any "maulid" 36:28 commemorations for Kiai Pahri? 36:31 >> There aren't any. 36:32 >> There's "haul"(commemoration of death). 36:33 >> Yes, haul. 36:34 >> Why? Because his death was good, 36:36 considered good, so he is commemorated 36:38 annually. 36:39 >> Hm. 36:39 >> Do you understand? 36:40 >> Yeah. People just know it was good; 36:42 let's say he died while praying in 36:43 congregation at the mosque. 36:45 >> Yeah. 36:45 >> Right, but they don't know what 36:46 happened before that. 36:49 >> His story could be all bad from the 36:51 womb until his death. The lucky thing 36:53 is 36:54 >> he died in a good state. Finally, his 36:56 children have the means to hold a 36:58 yearly haul and invite people to pray. 37:01 >> Well, that's human nature. 37:04 >> That's why it was said, "likulli alimin 37:06 hafwah." Even a knowledgeable person 37:09 has the chance to make mistakes. 37:12 >> H. 37:14 >> Well, therefore, Allah gives a picture, 37:17 "innabaka wasiul magfirah." Yes, even 37:21 if small sins aren't necessarily 37:23 avoidable, remember as long as there is 37:25 an effort to avoid major sins, as long 37:27 as there is an effort to avoid shameful 37:29 deeds, 37:31 >> then Allah describes that He will give 37:33 a perfect, perfect reward. "Lilladzina 37:35 ahsanu al husna." So, Allah makes known 37:39 , Allah makes viral about Himself. " 37:41 Innabbaka wasiul magfirah." Truly, your 37:45 Lord is vast in His forgiveness. Vast 37:49 >> in His forgiveness. 37:51 >> Never fail to ask for forgiveness. 37:55 >> At least, Kang Fahi, we should take the 37:57 time before sleep. 37:58 >> Yes. 37:59 >> Recite istighfar 10 or 40 times, 38:03 >> preferably 100 times before sleeping. 38:05 >> Astagfirullah. Astagfirullah. While 38:09 reflecting from the moment we woke up 38:10 until now before going to sleep. 38:12 >> What have we done? 38:14 >> Maybe our words hurt people, disturbed 38:16 people, or there was bullying against 38:19 others. 38:20 >> Yes. 38:20 >> From our attitudes and actions. Even 38:21 from just a glance, people can get 38:23 angry at us. 38:24 >> Hm. 38:24 >> Right? 38:25 >> True. 38:26 >> From a facial expression, people can 38:27 get angry at us. 38:28 >> Even though we were just busy. 38:29 >> Yes. 38:30 >> We meet, then you pass me by. 38:31 >> Seems like it wasn't on purpose. 38:32 >> People get hurt unintentionally. 38:34 >> Yes. Misinterpreted. 38:36 >> They immediately post a status without 38:38 confirming. 38:40 >> Even mentioning someone's name. " 38:44 >> So arrogant now."" 38:47 >> Just because you have a nice car, you 38:49 look away, let alone greeting," even 38:51 though we did it unintentionally. 38:54 >> It could be a phone call came in or 38:56 something, causing us to turn our face 38:58 away from a friend or companion. 39:01 >> That’s Allahu Akbar, that’s human, 39:03 say istighfar, "Astagfirullah." 39:05 Astagfirullah. Istighfar. 39:06 >> There. Because Allah is vast. Even the 39:11 Messenger is mentioned. The Prophet, it 39:13 is mentioned in a narration, did it no 39:15 less than 100 times a day. 39:17 >> Yes. Oh. 39:18 >> Asking for forgiveness from the Lord, 39:19 that’s the Prophet, you know. 39:20 >> We rarely do it sometimes. 39:23 >> We don't even read istighfar once a day 39:25 . Instead, we spend our days judging 39:28 people. Backbiting, talking about 39:31 people. Whoever the person is. Right? 39:34 Then Allah says, "Hua a'lamu bikum.""He 39:37 is Allah, who knows with certainty. 39:40 This is the word for knowledge, Kafari. 39:42 ' Ilm 'means certainty. 39:44 >> Yes, 39:45 >> definitive. So what is called knowledge 39:49 is certainty. 39:51 >> Hm. 39:52 >> It originates from what is certain and 39:55 produces something that is also certain 39:58 . That is called knowledge. The 40:01 opposite of knowledge is called' dhanni 40:02 , 'speculation. Presumption, it cannot 40:05 be certain. Now, Allah informs us,' 40:08 Huwa a'lamu bikum. 'He is Allah, who 40:11 understands best, who knows about you 40:14 with certainty. 40:18 >> Besides Allah, no one does. 40:19 >> I 40:20 >> so we cannot judge others. 40:22 >> H" 40:23 >> You will surely be like this later, you 40:25 will surely be like that. "Who are you? 40:29 Let alone directing it at others, ask 40:31 yourself now, do you know with 40:33 certainty about yourself? We cannot. 40:35 >> Yes. Everything is merely speculative 40:37 in nature. For example, Allah reminds 40:40 us,' idh ya'kum minal ardhi. 'Remember 40:43 when Allah Ta'ala created you from the 40:46 earth, from soil,' wa idh antum. 'And 40:50 remember when you were' ajinnah 'in 40:54 your mothers' wombs. What are 'ajinnah' 40:56 ? Still not yet having a visible form. 40:59 Hidden, covered where? Inside our 41:04 mothers 'wombs. 41:06 >> Even in three layers of darkness. 41:11 >> Yes. 41:11 >> From here 41:12 >> the belly. 41:13 >> The belly. Then further inside, wrapped 41:15 again by the placenta. Even then. Allah 41:20 already knew our condition even though 41:23 we were in the womb, in the three 41:25 layers of darkness in our mother's womb 41:28 . 41:29 >> Yes. 41:30 >> Allahu Akbar. So Allah says, because 41:34 Allah knows better about you.' Fala 41:37 tuzakku anfusakum. 'Do not consider 41:40 yourselves pure.' 41:45 >> Fala tuzakku anfusakum. 'Do not 41:47 consider yourself 41:49 >> pure. 41:49 >> Pure.' Huwa a'lamu. 'He is Allah, who 41:53 knows with certainty.' Bimanittaqo. ' 41:55 Who truly are His pious servants. That 42:00 is Allah's message to every individual 42:03 human being. 42:05 >> Then what about labeling 42:09 >> or justifying others? Allah said, 42:12 didn't He, Kafari? Allah said, do not 42:15 consider yourself pure. 42:18 >> We shouldn't even consider ourselves 42:20 pure. 42:20 >> Yes 42:21 >> free from mistakes 42:23 >> and stains. 42:25 >> Then what about others? After the break 42:27 , we will continue, God willing. 42:28 >> Masyaallah. We will take a break first; 42:30 those who wish to join and ask 42:32 questions can still use 0811999720. We 42:37 will be right back. Radio Rasil for the 42:52 one Islam. Still with us, Iwan Awat, on 42:53 the afternoon tausiah program with 42:55 Ustaz Fawas Abizawiyah. Still 42:57 discussing the mercy of Allah for those 43:00 who know and are aware of themselves. 43:02 Also the sub-theme, regarding the 43:04 attitude of respect and the attitude of 43:07 self-purification. You have already 43:09 explained it, Ustaz, quite extensively 43:11 in this program. And we will move to 43:14 the next session, and perhaps I will 43:16 read the incoming questions, Ustaz, 43:18 which might also continue the material. 43:22 >> This is from a servant of Allah, Ustaz. 43:23 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 43:25 wabarakatuh. 43:26 >> Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 43:27 wabarakatuh. 43:28 >> Ustaz, there are people who feel they 43:30 are closest to Allah because of their 43:31 worship. And even consider people with 43:35 different views as having less faith. 43:39 How do we understand this phenomenon 43:41 from the perspective of Surah An-Najm, 43:43 verses 31 to 32, Ustaz? 43:45 >> Masha Allah. Very well. In the name of 43:46 Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 43:47 Merciful. Rabbana zidna' ilman wa 43:50 alhiqna bis-salihin. The question is 43:54 about people who feel 43:57 >> ah, this is a personal matter. Like 43:58 that. 43:58 >> Is that right? 43:59 >> Because anyone who feels they have 44:01 achieved something has actually not 44:03 reached it yet. 44:04 >> They just feel like it. They haven't 44:05 actually attained it. 44:06 >> Yes. That's right, isn't it? Yes. 44:08 >> A person who feels rich, are they 44:09 really rich? 44:11 >> No. 44:13 >> In reality, they haven't reached that 44:14 point. 44:15 >> That is why there is a saying from our 44:17 teacher, Prof. Dr. Sayyid Muhammad bin 44:18 Alawi Al-Maliki. He said," Man roa 44:24 nafsahu qad wasala il-nihayah, fa'lam 44:29 annahu qad bada'a min nihayah. "Or as 44:34 he put it. Whoever sees themselves as 44:38 having reached the goal. Know for 44:42 certain that person is only just 44:44 beginning. Far from reaching it, 44:47 >> they are only just starting, or even 44:49 starting from zero again. So, someone 44:54 who feels they are close to Allah 44:56 Ta'ala, in reality, they are not yet 44:58 close to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 45:02 Someone who feels they are the most 45:05 righteous means they are not righteous. 45:09 >> Yes. 45:09 >> This is what you call" feeling. " 45:10 >> Feeling. 45:12 >> Exactly. Especially if they feel they 45:15 are correct, the most correct, and 45:16 others are wrong. 45:19 >> Hmm. 45:19 >> This is no longer purification ( 45:21 tazkiyah). 45:21 >> This is a disaster. It's already 45:23 >> a disaster, yes. 45:24 >> Yes. This is what you call a mental 45:26 disorder. In psychology, 45:29 >> it is called the diabolic disease. 45:32 >> It's called diabolic. 45:33 >> Yes. 45:34 >> Mentally disturbed, right? 45:35 >> That is a form of mental disorder. 45:37 >> Yes. 45:37 >> If someone feels they are more 45:38 righteous 45:39 >> or feels more godly. 45:41 >> Because in reality, if a person strives 45:43 , exerts effort, struggles (ijtihad), 45:45 and endeavors (mujahadah) to get closer 45:48 to Allah, they will always feel that 45:50 they are not there yet, not there yet, 45:52 not there yet. 45:53 >> Yes. 45:53 >> Not close yet. Not close yet. 45:55 >> Not close yet. What is the disease of 45:58 someone who feels they are already 46:00 knowledgeable? They will no longer want 46:02 to learn. 46:02 >> Yes. They feel satisfied, right, 46:04 >> Sir. What is that proof of? They are no 46:07 longer a person of knowledge. 46:08 >> Yes. 46:10 >> That is why I have a teacher, may Allah 46:13 have mercy on him, Sayyid Walid 46:14 Al-Habib Hasan bin Abdullah Syatri. He 46:19 said," Which is the highest status, 46:23 >> someone who holds the title of a 46:25 scholar ('alim) or someone referred to 46:28 as a student (santri)? "Thalibul ilm ( 46:30 seeker of knowledge)." 46:32 >> He said the position of the thalibul 46:34 ilm, the seekers of knowledge, is 46:35 higher. 46:37 >> Yes. Because they will never stop 46:40 learning and seeking knowledge. But if 46:42 a person is 46:44 >> already proud of the title of scholar, 46:47 then that is the limit of their 46:49 knowledge. Hada mablaguhum minal ilmi. 46:53 Yes. That is the limit, the point 46:59 >> where they have reached in knowledge. 47:00 So, if the question is how, what do you 47:03 call it, to understand or respond to 47:06 someone who feels they are close to 47:08 Allah but then deems others or feels 47:13 righteous while viewing others as 47:14 lacking, that is someone suffering from 47:17 a mental disorder. Yes. 47:20 >> That person, that's a mental 47:22 disturbance; here Allah explains "fala 47:25 tuzakku anfusakum""anfusakum." 47:31 >> Do not claim or consider yourselves 47:34 pure, 47:36 >> clean, 47:37 >> because Allah knows best. 47:39 >> Yes, 47:39 >> that's it. Because when a person tries 47:41 to perform tazkiyatun nafs ( 47:43 purification of the soul), they will 47:45 feel dirty and always lacking. If they 47:49 already feel clean, then that is what 47:51 you call a mental disturbance. 47:52 >> A mental disorder. Oh my God. 47:54 >> Ananiah or diabolism. 47:56 >> Look, try to see 47:58 >> Iblis. The case of Iblis, for example, 48:00 yes. 48:00 >> Iblis is an example, this is a clear 48:01 example in the Qur'an, right. 48:03 >> Hmm. 48:04 >> Iblis, when Allah created Adam, yes. 48:10 Then Allah breathed a soul into Adam 48:12 and then Allah commanded the angels 48:16 >> to prostrate. So all the angels 48:19 prostrated, 48:20 >> except for Iblis. 48:21 >> Except for Iblis. Until people who 48:23 misunderstand this verse think, "So 48:25 Iblis is an angel, then?" Well, no. 48:29 >> Then why was he questioned for not 48:32 prostrating to Adam? Right? This is 48:37 God's question, it's a test. 48:39 >> Hm. 48:41 >> Now, first, why was Iblis considered 48:43 part of the angels? Well, because he 48:48 hung out and gathered with the angels. 48:51 It is even mentioned in a narration 48:53 that Iblis was a supervisor of the 48:54 angels. Hm. 48:56 >> Yes, he was part of the circle of 48:57 angels even though he wasn't of the 48:59 angel class. 48:59 >> The Qur'an, Surah Al-Kahf verse 50, 49:01 explains clearly 49:03 >> that Iblis was of the jinn kind. 49:05 >> Jinn. " 49:07 >> Kana minal jinni fafasaqa' an amri 49:09 rabbihi." Now, actually, when Iblis was 49:13 asked by Allah Ta'ala, "Ma mana'aka 49:15 tasjud?""Why did you not want to 49:19 prostrate, Iblis, when I commanded you? 49:22 " Actually, Iblis could have answered 49:26 if he used logic that fit his capacity. 49:30 >> But because of his desires and 49:32 arrogance, his intelligence vanished. 49:35 I. 49:36 >> Because his desires were at the front, 49:38 not at the back. 49:40 >> What should have been the answer of 49:43 Iblis? It's simple, "Lord, am I wrong 49:46 for not prostrating? You commanded the 49:49 angels to prostrate,"" 49:51 >> while I am from the jinn race." 49:53 >> Hm, that could have worked, right? 49:55 >> Yes, the assumption is like that. 49:57 >> If he answered like that, would Iblis 49:58 have been safe? If he answered that way 50:00 . 50:00 >> He would have been safe if he answered 50:01 that way. 50:02 >> Wise, right? 50:03 >> Wise, "Forgive me, Lord, ready, Lord." 50:05 If it's a command, you say, "Ready, 50:07 Lord.""Ready, Lord, 10-4" or how? 50:10 >> Usually, if it's soldiers or police, 50:12 right? 50:12 >> Yes. Ready. 50:13 >> Even before answering, you stand ready 50:14 first, right? 50:15 >> Ready. " 50:16 >> Ready, sir," like that, right? "Ready, 50:18 Lord, where did I go wrong, Lord?" 50:20 >> Hm. " 50:22 >> When You commanded us to prostrate, You 50:25 said, 'O angels, prostrate to Adam,' 50:27 and I do not feel I am of the angel 50:30 class."" 50:31 >> So I did not prostrate, Lord.""Please 50:33 explain, Lord, what is my error?" Now, 50:35 >> that's how it should have been. 50:36 >> Right, yes. 50:37 >> That is self-awareness. 50:38 >> Self-awareness. But unfortunately, 50:40 >> he had no self-awareness. 50:41 >> He had no self-awareness, as I said. 50:43 >> So he didn't get Allah's mercy. 50:45 >> What did he get instead? Allah's curse 50:47 and was expelled. 50:48 >> Right? He instead answered with full 50:50 arrogance. What was Iblis 'first act 50:53 that went most viral? Ana khairum minhu 50:55 . I am better than Adam. That is called 51:00 a feeling. 51:00 >> Feeling better. 51:01 >> Reason is no longer functioning. So in 51:03 the Quran, in a surah 51:06 >> in one verse of the Quran, Allah says, 51:08 "Have you seen him who takes his own 51:10 desire as his god, and Allah lets him 51:13 go astray despite his knowledge?""O 51:15 Rasul, have you seen or have you not 51:19 seen yet 51:21 >> how the fate of someone 51:24 >> who dares to lift, take, and make his 51:28 own desires his God?" The term' hawa 51:34 nafsu 'consists of two words,' hawa ' 51:35 and' nafsu '. 51:36 >> Nafsu (desire/passion). 51:37 >> What is' hawa '? Any desire that has no 51:40 brakes. 51:41 >> That's why it can go overboard. 51:43 >> Yes. 51:43 >> The word' hawa 'means to slip, 51:46 >> to fall, to tumble. Because of 51:49 following passion. 51:50 >> Passion. 51:52 >> Now, because of making passion a god, 51:54 what reward does Allah give? Waahullahu 51:58 ala ilmin. I 52:00 >> Allah lets him go astray in his path 52:02 despite having knowledge. 52:04 >> Yes. 52:05 >> All his knowledge disappears. 52:06 >> H 52:07 >> is his reason covered by what? By the 52:10 domination of' hawa ' 52:11 >> passion/desire. 52:13 >> It's just like that. Just feeling 52:15 better than Adam. 52:18 >> What is the reason for being better? 52:20 What is the reason for being good? If 52:22 he answered with knowledge, he would be 52:24 safe. 52:25 >> So, God, you created me first. 52:28 >> Yeah. And I have served you for so long 52:30 . 52:31 >> I'm a senior, after all. 52:31 >> Senior, right? Serving you for so long. 52:36 >> Am I wrong? Just an alibi, right? 52:39 >> Am I wrong if I feel better? Because 52:42 Adam is a newcomer 52:43 >> a new guy 52:44 >> a new kid, right? 52:45 >> Yes. 52:46 >> I'm not disobeying your command, God. 52:48 This is my logic, God. Forgive me if I 52:50 am wrong, like that. I 52:52 >> even though we should just follow God's 52:54 command 52:56 >> even if our reason cannot accept, how 52:58 can I, who is older and more senior, be 53:01 told to bow to a newcomer? 53:04 >> Respect, respect the newcomer, the new 53:07 one should respect the old one, right? 53:11 >> But unfortunately, arrogance 53:13 >> yes 53:14 >> passion, jealousy, this is what is 53:16 called a mental disorder, feeling 53:19 >> that's it, wallahu a'lam. So, Ustadz, 53:24 how do we respond to—it went viral 53:27 recently—how do we respond to a 53:30 figure who commits a mistake, a mistake 53:33 that is truly a real mistake? We also 53:37 clearly see it is indeed a mistake 53:39 >> no need to make any far-fetched 53:40 interpretations. 53:41 >> Yes. We also say, "Oh, this is a very 53:42 big mistake," right? 53:44 >> But their followers defend them blindly 53:47 . How should we deal with that, Ustadz? 53:49 Earlier, the Arab saying was quite apt, 53:53 "Likulli jawadin ya kabwah." Every 53:56 skilled horse, even the most agile one, 53:59 has a moment where it stumbles. 54:01 >> Yes. " 54:02 >> Walikulli' alimin au sihamin nabwah." 54:07 An arrow that has been measured 54:08 symmetrically 54:09 >> precisely, right? 54:10 >> Precision. 54:11 >> Can still miss the target. 54:12 >> Maybe the wind is stronger 54:13 >> yes. The wind is stronger here. 54:16 >> Yes. 54:16 >> Even though the person is an expert, a 54:18 master. Likewise, "wa likulli 'alimin 54:20 hafwah." Every person whose mastery of 54:24 knowledge is very high has the 54:27 opportunity to err. 54:30 >> Meaning when a mistake slips out from 54:33 their words 54:34 >> A scholar, whoever they are, whatever 54:37 their level, however many followers 54:39 they have, whatever their degree, they 54:42 are still human. 54:43 >> Yes. 54:44 >> Humans have the capacity to make 54:47 mistakes. If that weren't the case, 54:49 Allah wouldn't have said "nabbi ibadi 54:51 annil-ghafurur-rahim.""Nabbi ibadi 54:54 annil-ghafurur-rahim.""Inform My 54:57 servants, O Messenger."" 55:00 >> I am indeed the All-Forgiving, the 55:02 All-Merciful." So, can a servant make a 55:04 mistake or not? 55:06 >> Certainly. 55:07 >> If they didn't make mistakes, there 55:08 would be no point. 55:08 >> Yes. 55:09 >> What use would there be for an 55:10 All-Forgiving, All-Merciful God? Heh. 55:12 >> That is the meaning when someone, in a 55:15 manifest way, 55:17 >> without needing any justification, 55:19 >> commits an error, 55:21 >> even if that person is a scholar, or 55:23 the mistake is in speech, attitude, or 55:25 action, first, acknowledge it. 55:28 >> Yes. 55:29 >> Don't defend it or try to rationalize 55:31 it away. If you do that, it's called 55:33 cultism. 55:35 >> Cultism is dangerous, you know. 55:36 >> People, in general, 55:38 >> are among those who must be treated 55:40 with respect. Because as Allah says 55:42 regarding the children of Adam, " 55:44 Walaqad karramna bani Adam." 55:46 >> And respecting God's creation, 55:49 >> yes, God's creatures. Especially humans 55:52 , whatever they may be like, 55:55 >> wherever they come from, whatever their 55:56 lineage, whatever their occupation, 55:58 this human being, 56:00 >> has the right to be respected. Now, 56:04 this respect is called "respect." 56:06 >> Respect. Respect. But then, there is 56:09 the opposite of respect, called 56:13 >> cult. 56:14 >> Cult. 56:15 >> Or in Arabic, "taqdis." 56:17 >> While the earlier respect is called " 56:19 ihtiram." 56:20 >> And Allah says, "Waman yu'azzim 56:22 hurumatillah" in the Quran, Surah 56:25 Al-Hajj. Whoever honors things that 56:28 Allah honors—meaning Allah has 56:30 declared that these have a sanctity 56:33 that must be maintained—then that 56:35 person has good deeds stored with Allah 56:38 Ta'ala. Now, but remember, there are 56:42 limits. H. 56:44 >> Because "taqdis" is reserved only for 56:47 Allah. That is why Allah has the name " 56:50 Al-Malikul-Quddus." What is the 56:53 difference between an attitude of 56:55 respect or "ihtiram" and "taqdis" or 56:58 cultism? Next week? 57:00 >> God willing. 57:01 >> We will continue again. God willing. 57:02 >> It's still ongoing, right? 57:03 >> Of course, it's not finished yet. 57:04 >> Don't forget, tomorrow, er, next week 57:06 we will try to look into it again, 57:08 dissect that issue again, okay? 57:09 >> Masha'Allah. 57:10 >> Masha'Allah. Thank you, Ustaz, for the 57:11 knowledge this afternoon. May what you 57:14 have conveyed be of great benefit, 57:16 Ustaz. Amin. 57:18 >> I, who am on duty, accompanied by ALG 57:20 and also the student intern here, Nur, 57:22 say goodbye. Subhanakallahumma 57:24 wabihamdika asyhadu alla ilaha illa 57:26 anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik. 57:28 Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullah.
