0:01 Brail TV. Peace be upon you, and 0:10 Allah's mercy and blessings. In the 0:12 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 0:13 Most Merciful. All praise is due to 0:14 Allah, Lord of the worlds. Blessings 0:15 and peace be upon our master Muhammad, 0:17 and upon all of his family and 0:19 companions. To proceed. To the 0:21 listeners of Rasil radio whom I respect 0:23 . "News from the Heavens" this time is 0:28 about a topic that most people do not 0:32 want to discuss. Even though this is an 0:37 important subject and a topic that 0:40 everyone agrees on. In any other topic, 0:45 we always have differences of opinion. 0:48 But this one is the same for all. 0:49 Whether you are a Muslim, non-Muslim, a 0:52 good Muslim, a bad Muslim, or an 0:54 atheist, everyone agrees on what? Death 0:56 . Al-Mawt. There is no one who denies 1:00 death. That is why Allah says, "Wa 1:05 ja'at sakratul mauti bil-haqq.""And the 1:11 agony of death will bring the truth."" 1:16 Dhalika ma kunta minhu tahid." That is 1:21 what you have been avoiding all this 1:23 time. All this time you did not want to 1:26 think about it. Yes, so be careful. 1:31 Because in this life, if we try and 1:34 fail, there is still an opportunity. We 1:39 might be able to do it next time. But 1:44 if you die, you cannot return; it is 1:46 over if we fail. So, in "News from the 1:50 Heavens" this time, I want to answer 1:54 seven questions about death. First, can 1:59 the deceased hear after they have died? 2:02 The answer is yes. Because after the 2:07 Battle of Badr, the Prophet spoke to 2:10 the disbelievers who had died. He 2:13 called them by their names: O Abu Jahl, 2:16 O Walid, and so on. "Hal wajadtum ma 2:19 wa'adakum rabbukum?""Did you find what 2:24 your Lord promised you?" Meaning, if a 2:27 person dies a disbeliever, this is 2:28 their punishment. Umar was there. Umar 2:31 said, "O Messenger of Allah, they are 2:33 already dead." Meaning they cannot hear 2:36 . The Prophet replied, "They can hear 2:38 better than you." Only they cannot 2:41 answer. Yes, in another hadith, the 2:45 Prophet said that the deceased in the 2:48 grave can hear the sound of the sandals 2:52 or the footsteps of people as they 2:55 leave the grave. It is intended that 2:58 once everyone has left, then the two, 3:01 what are they called? The two angels 3:04 who will question them arrive. So they 3:07 will be alone. Then the second question 3:11 , can people who have died see the 3:16 people who died before them? Their 3:20 parents, grandparents, friends? Yes, 3:25 for a believer, for someone who dies in 3:27 a state of Husnul Khatimah. If it is a 3:30 disbeliever, they cannot because they 3:32 are busy with their torment. Yes. So 3:35 later in the grave, "Walakum ma 3:37 tashtahi anfusukum," says Allah. What 3:41 we desire, if we are good people, Allah 3:44 will fulfill. When in the grave, for 3:48 example, if we want to meet our parents 3:51 or relatives, they will be found, yes. 3:55 Therefore, Ibn al-Qayyim told of this 4:00 in his book, "Ar-Ruh." Even more, when 4:06 we visit the graves, they can see us. 4:11 That is why when we go to the graveyard 4:13 , what do we read? "Assalamu alaikum 4:16 dara qawmin mu'minin." Right? Peace be 4:20 upon you. Peace be upon you. And peace 4:22 be upon you. I wonder if they can hear 4:26 us but cannot answer. Back in a book, 4:32 it was told that someone had a dream. 4:37 They met people in a graveyard who were 4:41 awake. And they were, as they say, 4:46 scavenging. Yes. So, they were picking 4:52 up fruits that were on the ground. 4:55 There were trees, and the fruits from 4:58 the trees, they picked them up. But 5:03 there was a mother just sitting there, 5:05 not joining them. So, the dreamer asked 5:08 , "Ma'am, why aren't you joining in?"" 5:10 For me, there is already someone 5:11 sending them." She said, "My child." 5:14 she said. She pointed to a plate nearby 5:17 that was full of fruits. So she didn't 5:20 have to scavenge. But the following 5:24 week, when he dreamed again of people 5:27 picking fruits, that mother was also 5:30 scavenging. "Ma'am, why are you joining 5:35 in now?""My child died last night." The 5:38 address of her child was mentioned. He 5:43 woke up, and after dawn, he went to 5:45 that address. It was true, there were 5:47 many people. Indeed. Her child had died 5:49 . Right. Therefore, as children, let us 5:54 not forget to pray for our parents 5:57 every day. Don't let them have to 6:00 scavenge, have to pick things up. 6:02 Because that scavenging means they only 6:05 get fruits from general prayers. " 6:09 Allahummaghfir lil mu'minina wal 6:10 mu'minat.""Wal muslimina wal muslimat," 6:13 that's what preachers sometimes say. 6:17 Secondly, after they die and are in the 6:20 grave, what happens? Well, the Prophet 6:25 said, if a person dies, the grave can 6:28 become a beautiful place. Like paradise 6:32 , like that. A garden, like a beautiful 6:38 park, or also a sad place, a place of 6:42 torment. So in the Quran it is 6:47 mentioned, when telling the story of 6:49 Pharaoh, "An-naru yu'raduna 'alaiha." 6:54 Every day, morning and evening, Pharaoh 6:57 and his followers are burned there. So 7:04 the Prophet said, "If I didn't fear 7:06 that people would lose their appetite 7:08 for food or marriage,""I would let you 7:10 hear the screams of those being 7:12 tormented in the grave." Yes, be 7:16 careful. That is why, after the 7:19 Tashahhud and the prayer of Ibrahim, 7:21 don't forget to recite, "Allahumma inni 7:24 a'udhu bika min' adhabi-l-qabr." O 7:28 Allah, I seek refuge in You from the 7:29 torment of the grave. Yes. Hmm. Then 7:34 there are also many hadiths about the 7:37 causes of grave torment. Among them are 7:39 people who are not careful with " 7:41 istinja" or cleaning themselves. When 7:45 you go to the bathroom, be careful, 7:47 there might still be impurities left. 7:52 The Prophet once passed by a grave, 7:54 then he took a tree branch. The Prophet 7:57 said, this branch lightens the torment 7:59 for these two graves. They were 8:02 tormented not for major sins. One was 8:05 due to improper and messy "istinja." 8:08 The second was due to someone who liked 8:10 "namimah" or gossiping/sowing discord. 8:14 The second one is people who have debt. 8:17 Be careful. That is why, if it's not 8:19 absolutely necessary, do not go into 8:20 debt. When someone came to the Prophet, 8:25 "Did he leave behind...""The Prophet 8:27 said," Your friend is being held, so 8:30 pay off his debt, God willing. "Yes. 8:35 Then for the fourth question, when a 8:39 person dies, what is it that actually 8:42 dies? Does the soul die too? No. What 8:47 dies is only the breath. The verse: * 8:51 Kullu nafsin dzaaiqatul maut*(Every 8:52 soul shall taste death). If the soul 8:55 does not die, the soul only moves from 8:58 the worldly realm to the barzakh realm. 9:01 Yes, that is why when someone dies, the 9:04 black of their eyes looks up to the sky 9:07 . Why? Because they are watching the 9:10 exit of that soul. That is why there is 9:15 a prayer before sleeping that is good 9:18 to recite. *Bismika Rabbi wadha'tu 9:21 janbi. *O Allah, with Your name, my 9:26 Lord, I lay down my side, and only 9:30 because of You can I wake up. *Wabika 9:35 arfa'u. **Amsakta nafsi farhamha. *If 9:41 You take my soul, have mercy on it. Yes 9:46 , have mercy on it. *Wa in arsalta. *If 9:50 You return that soul, then protect it. 9:55 *Fahfadha. *That prayer is important, 9:59 yes. So when we sleep, sometimes the 10:04 soul leaves. We might be somewhere else 10:09 . Sometimes we are having a beautiful 10:11 dream and are woken up by our wife. 10:13 Like that. Why wake me up when I'm 10:15 enjoying drinking*es teler*, for 10:17 example, right? Um. Then, how long do 10:21 people stay in the grave? In the 10:25 barzakh realm, there is no time like in 10:27 this world. The time is different. 10:31 There is no such thing as 24-hour time. 10:34 There isn't. Because our time here is 10:38 bound by what movement? Night and day. 10:43 And so on. Over there, it is like a 10:45 person dreaming. People dreaming 10:47 sometimes feel like it takes a long 10:48 time. But if calculated, it is only a 10:50 few seconds. Or someone in a coma. 10:54 There is a lot of time for people in a 10:55 coma. There was an American in a coma 10:58 for 20 years. When he woke up, he was 11:00 asked," How long have you been out? "" 11:04 I think half a day. "" Half a day " 11:05 means one day, he said. The same as the 11:08 People of the Cave (*Ashabul Kahfi*). 11:09 When the People of the Cave woke up and 11:12 were asked how long, they said," A day 11:16 or half a day. "Uzair was the same; 11:19 Uzair slept for 100 years, and when he 11:23 woke up, time just didn't exist. So, it 11:26 depends on how we lived our lives. If 11:32 the grave becomes a garden of paradise, 11:35 it will not feel long. Even if they 11:38 died during the time of Prophet Noah. 11:41 Then the Day of Judgment happens after 11:43 1 million years, for example, it feels 11:45 like from*Dhuhr*to*Asr*. But if a 11:48 person is being punished, it feels like 11:50 a long time. So it is not important how 11:53 long we stay. What is important is how 11:56 the grave can become a garden for us. 11:59 Right. The sixth question. What are the 12:04 moments of death like? So when the soul 12:07 leaves the body, what happens?*Falaula 12:12 idza balaghatil hulquum. *God says, 12:15 when the soul has reached the throat. * 12:20 Wa antum hinaidin tandhurun. *At that 12:23 moment you will see what God sees; our 12:26 film, our video, will be played back 12:28 from the moment we reached puberty. 12:32 That is why people sometimes pass away 12:34 looking sad or afraid, because they see 12:36 their bad deeds. But suddenly they 12:39 start to smile, because those deeds are 12:41 erased. Our evil deeds and sins are 12:44 shown first, then erased. Why erased? 12:46 Because of repentance. That is why we 12:49 must always be in a state of repentance 12:51 . Don't let it be that when we see them 12:54 later, they are not erased by Allah 12:56 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Yes. And those 12:59 moments are very decisive moments. 13:02 Because our life thereafter is 13:03 determined at that time." Ya'karul 13:08 insanu ma saa. "When a person remembers 13:11 everything they have done in this world 13:13 . That is why they say when people are 13:17 in heaven later, those moments when the 13:19 soul left the body will still be 13:21 remembered as beautiful. Likewise, 13:25 people in hell will still remember the 13:27 pain when they left, yes. Now, the last 13:33 and most important thing is how to 13:36 ensure that death is truly the happiest 13:40 moment for us. Because for a believer, 13:45 death is the end of sadness, the end of 13:48 fear, and the end of pain. It becomes a 13:53 beautiful moment, a moment to meet the 13:57 good souls there. Therefore, how do we 14:04 do it? Allah says in the Quran," 14:08 Innalladzina qalu rabbunallah tummaqomu 14:11 . "Indeed, those who say" Our Lord is 14:16 Allah "and then remain steadfast. So 14:19 they are not afraid to say," Yes, I am 14:22 a Muslim. "" My Lord is Allah. "Then 14:26 what?" Tummaqomu. "Then they are 14:28 steadfast (istiqamah). Steadfast in 14:31 worship. Never missing the five daily 14:34 prayers. Steadfast in their dealings 14:37 with their parents, with their spouse, 14:40 and with their children. Right? 14:44 Steadfast in their social life, in 14:45 helping others. What happens when we 14:50 are about to die?" Tatanazzalu 14:52 alaihimul malaikah. "The angels will 14:55 descend. Allah. Imagine, this is our 14:58 first time seeing the angels of Allah; 15:01 we will be welcomed by those angels 15:04 before the Angel of Death arrives, 15:07 special angels will come from the sky 15:09 carrying a shroud. A special shroud 15:14 from heaven and perfume from Allah's 15:16 heaven. Now, at that moment, what will 15:20 we feel? Fear, right? Where am I being 15:23 taken to? Then sadness, right? Leaving 15:27 behind everyone we love. What do the 15:30 angels say?" Alla takhafu wala tahzanu. 15:34 "Do not fear and do not be sad." Wa 15:37 absiru bil jannah. "Then, because we 15:41 are still afraid and sad, they will 15:43 show us our place in heaven later. We 15:46 even smile. So, what is the key? 15:49 Steadfastness (Istiqamah). Yes. So, let 15:52 us reflect on this matter of death and 15:55 we must always strive to make the 15:58 moment of death the most beautiful 16:00 moment for us. Yes, because it is said 16:05 that when we were babies, when we were 16:08 born we cried, but everyone around us 16:11 was happy. Now, let us hope that when 16:16 we die, we smile and laugh while those 16:19 around us weep. Wabillahi taufiq wal 16:24 hidayah. Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 16:27 wabarakatuh.
