1:56 Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy. 1:59 And His blessings. All praise is due to 2:02 Allah, we praise Him, we seek His help, 2:05 we seek His forgiveness, and we seek 2:08 refuge in Allah from the evils of our 2:10 own souls and the badness of our deeds. 2:14 Whoever Allah guides, there is none to 2:16 lead him astray. And whoever He leads 2:18 astray, there is none to guide him. I 2:22 bear witness that there is no god but 2:24 Allah alone, with no partner, and I 2:26 bear witness that our master Muhammad 2:29 is His servant and messenger. Whatever 2:34 Allah wills happens, and whatever He 2:36 does not will does not happen; there is 2:38 no power and no strength except in 2:39 Allah, the Most High, the Almighty. To 2:43 proceed. Brothers and sisters who are 2:47 very dear to Allah the Almighty. Praise 2:51 be to Allah, tonight we can gather 2:55 again through this Quranic translation 2:59 study. Tonight, we will continue our 3:03 study from last Friday. Where last 3:08 Friday we reached the 43rd verse of 3:13 Surah Yusuf. We will continue tonight 3:19 with the 44th verse until the time for 3:25 Isha approaches. Therefore, let us 3:29 begin our study by reciting the prayer 3:31 for seeking knowledge. In the name of 3:35 Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 3:36 Merciful. My Lord, increase me in 3:38 knowledge. O Allah, benefit me with 3:41 what You have taught me, teach me what 3:43 will benefit me, and provide me with 3:45 knowledge that will benefit me. Amen. 3:51 Brothers and sisters, let's start verse 3:53 44, just one line. I seek refuge in 3:59 Allah from the accursed Satan. In the 4:05 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 4:07 Most Merciful. They said: "It is a 4:16 jumble of dreams,""and we are not"" 4:26 learned in the interpretation of dreams 4:28 ." They said, "Adghathu ahlam are just 4:39 empty, confusing dreams.""Wama, and we 4:48 are not""with the interpretation of 4:55 dreams,""knowing their overall meaning. 5:03 " They answered, "Those are""empty 5:12 dreams, and we are not capable of 5:16 interpreting those dreams." As in the 5:22 previous verse, Allah explains that the 5:25 King of Egypt at that time was not a 5:28 Pharaoh. So indeed, Egypt had several 5:33 kings and dynasties. Yes, the titles 5:39 were different, too. So this King of 5:43 Egypt dreamed of seeing seven fat cows 5:53 being eaten by seven thin cows. There 6:01 were also seven green ears of corn, and 6:04 others seven that were dry. Now, the 6:13 dream was requested, or the others were 6:17 dry, yes. Yes, the dream was presented 6:21 to the leaders, meaning the experts in 6:25 dream interpretation, to explain its 6:29 meaning. It turned out the interpreters 6:35 of dreams stated it was just an empty 6:38 dream. "We cannot interpret empty 6:44 dreams, dreams that have no benefit, 6:49 dreams outside the scope of what we 6:53 study." So, that was their answer. Then 7:00 , because the dream could not be 7:04 interpreted, the news spread throughout 7:08 the palace. And then, the person whom 7:15 Prophet Yusuf had "predicted," in 7:18 quotes, would get out of prison. There 7:21 were two who were saved. One was going 7:24 to be punished. Now, the one who was 7:28 saved remembered, he was already out of 7:30 prison and was now at the palace. And 7:34 the one who was saved from the two 7:38 recalled after some time: "I will 7:43 inform you of its interpretation, so 7:46 send me." And said the one who was 7:53 saved among them, and he remembered 8:01 after a period of time, "I will inform 8:14 you""of its interpretation,""so,""send 8:24 me to someone who can interpret it." 8:30 The overall meaning. And said the one 8:34 who was saved among the two, who had 8:40 previously been told by Prophet Yusuf 8:44 that he would be released from prison. 8:47 One has already been punished, right. 8:49 Yes. This is the one who survived. He 8:53 remembered Joseph after some time had 8:56 passed, "I will tell you about someone 9:00 skilled in interpreting dreams, so send 9:03 me to him.""Yes. So after several years 9:10 , Prophet Joseph was in prison, between 9:13 3 to 9 years, though scholars generally 9:17 say 7 years. Now, this is the person 9:21 who was once helped by Prophet Joseph, 9:27 having his dream interpreted, but it 9:28 turns out he forgot, and only after 9:30 many years did he remember this. So, 9:33 then he said to the king, or of course, 9:39 to the people around the king. I can, I 9:45 will tell you about the dream's 9:47 interpretation from someone who can 9:51 interpret it. So it is not me. 9:54 Therefore, send me, commission me to 9:57 meet that person. So, truly, the person 10:02 who survived the king's punishment then 10:06 went to meet Prophet Joseph. How was it 10:11 ? Well, his words were like this. Verse 10:13 46. Yusufu ayyuhasiddiqu aftina fi 10:21 sabqaratin siman. fi sabqaratin simani 10:32 yaquuluhunna sabun ijafu wa sumbulatin 10:41 khudrin wa ukhro yabisat wa ukhro 10:48 yabisatil'alli arji'u ilanasi 10:54 la'allahum Yusufu. O Joseph, ayyuhas 11:03 siddiq, O person of truth. O Joseph, 11:08 ayyuhas siddiq, O person who is 11:11 trustworthy, person who is honest. 11:16 Aftina, explain to us fi sab baqoratin 11:21 about seven cows. Simanin, the fat ones 11:28 , yaquuluhunna which are eaten by them, 11:34 meaning eaten by sabun ijafun seven 11:41 thin cows that are skinny. So the thin 11:48 cows ate the seven fat cows. Wasabi 11:53 sumbulatin, and about seven stalks 11:58 khudrin that are green. Waukoro, and 12:04 others, seven as well, yabisat, that 12:06 are dry. La'alli, so that I may arji ( 12:13 return) ilanasi (to the people), 12:16 la'allahum (so they) ya'lamun (may know 12:21 ), that is the overall meaning." Joseph 12:27 , O you who are very trustworthy, 12:31 explain to us the interpretation of the 12:36 dream about seven fat cows being eaten 12:41 by seven thin cows, seven green stalks 12:48 of grain, and seven dry stalks of grain 12:51 . "So that I may return to those people 12:56 so they may know." After arriving at 13:01 the prison, that person approached 13:05 Joseph, perhaps because he was afraid. 13:09 Lest he be blamed by Prophet Joseph, he 13:11 immediately praised him. O Joseph, who 13:15 is so trustworthy. Our king had a dream 13:20 . He saw there were seven fat cows 13:26 being eaten by seven thin cows. Also 13:33 there were seven green stalks and 13:36 others, seven dry stalks. Now, what is 13:41 the interpretation? Please interpret it 13:45 so we can bring this news to the people 13:49 so they know, because they are 13:52 currently confused about interpreting 13:55 the king's dream. Prophet Joseph 14:00 immediately replied, "Tazrauna sab'a 14:06 da'aban fama hasodtum fadaruhu fi 14:12 sumbulihi illa qolilam mimma takulun." 14:22 Prophet Joseph said: "Tazrauna (you 14:26 should farm or plant) sab'a sinin ( 14:32 seven years) da'aban (continuously or 14:40 as usual).""Fama hasadtum (so what you 14:46 harvest), fadaruhu (leave what is 14:49 harvested) fi sumbulihi (in its stalks) 14:53 , illa qolilan (except a little) mimma 14:57 takulun (that you eat)." Overall, 15:03 Joseph said: "So that you may farm for 15:07 7 consecutive years as usual." Then 15:12 whatever you harvest, you should leave 15:16 it in its stalks. Except for a little 15:21 that you eat. Next, this episode is not 15:27 finished yet, verse 48. Continuing up 15:31 to 49. So, the sequence is like that. " 15:37 Tumma ya'ti mim ba'di dzalika sab'un 15:39 syidadun"(Then there will come after 15:42 that seven difficult years). "yaakulna 15:46 ma qoddamtum lahunna""maa qoddamtum 15:53 lahunna illa qolilam mimma tuhsinun"" 16:01 tumma" then "ya'ti" will come "mim 16:04 ba'di dzalika" after that "sab'un 16:08 syidadun" seven difficult years " 16:13 yaakulna" They will all eat and consume 16:22 "ma qoddamtum" what you have provided " 16:27 lahunna" to face them. So, this "sab'un 16:34 syidadun" is personified as if it were 16:37 a living thing. "lahunna" for them, " 16:43 illa" except "qolilan" a little "mimma" 16:47 of what "tuhsinun" you stored. Verse 49 16:52 . "Tumma ya'ti mim ba'di dzalika 'aamun 16:59 fihi yughoosun-naasu""wa fihi ya'shirun 17:05 ""tumma" then "ya'ti" will come "mim 17:12 ba'di dzalika" after that "' aamun" a 17:16 year in which "yughoosun-naasu" rain is 17:20 poured upon the people. "Wa fihi." And 17:27 in it, in that year, "ya'shirun" they 17:30 press grapes. The overall meaning of 17:38 verses 47 and 48, we have already 17:41 translated. Then after that will come 7 17:46 very difficult years that will consume 17:49 what you have stored to face them. 17:53 Except for a little of what? From the 17:57 wheat seeds that you stored. So that 18:02 was the secret of the seven dreams 18:05 earlier, seven cows and seven ears of 18:08 grain. Apparently, in the 18:13 interpretation or the prophecy of that 18:15 dream, the city of Egypt or the country 18:18 of Egypt will experience this kind of 18:21 cycle. That they will experience a time 18:29 that is prosperous. But after that 18:36 comes a difficult time, a time of 18:38 famine. Now, when that prosperous 7- 18:44 year period comes, use it to plant 18:49 wheat. Then harvest it, by all means, 18:58 but leave some in the stalks except for 19:03 what you take for food. That's it. Yeah 19:09 . So, a prosperous time. Now, then come 19:16 7 difficult years. Where at that time, 19:22 that year consumes the food supplies 19:28 that you have provided. Earlier it was 19:31 7 years of difficult times ahead, but 19:33 there was already a supply. So, you 19:38 will face that year so that only a 19:45 little remains of what you stored. So, 19:51 to face those difficult years, you were 19:56 already prepared because some was left 20:02 in the stalks. So the people of Egypt 20:10 were saved from hunger. Now, then after 20:16 the 7 years of the subsequent famine, 20:23 comes again. Now, comes a year where 20:28 people are given enough rain and in 20:31 that time they press grapes. When the 20:38 famine time was over, they were saved 20:41 from the famine because they already 20:45 had food preparations that were not all 20:49 harvested and were instead stored. 20:55 After the famine ends, a time of 20:59 prosperity will return, a time when 21:03 rain will fall abundantly and people 21:08 can press grapes. Ah, that is the 21:14 interpretation of the king's dream. 21:20 Next, the one who told the king was not 21:23 Prophet Yusuf, but the man who had been 21:27 in prison and asked about that 21:30 interpretation. He told your king, 21:34 saying this and that. So, then Allah 21:40 states, "Waqal malikuuni bih falamma 21:50 jaahur rasulu qji ila rabbik qol arji 21:59 ila rabbika fas'alhuma balun 22:03 niswatillah in bidiihinna alim." Waqala 22:18 (and said) almaliku (the king) ituni, " 22:23 Ituni"(bring him to me) "bihi"(to him). 22:29 Falamma jaahu (then when he came to 22:33 Prophet Yusuf) arrasulu (the messenger 22:37 from the king), said Prophet Yusuf, " 22:41 Irji"(go back) "ila rabbika"(to your 22:45 master). Rab here does not mean Lord, 22:49 but master. Fasalhu (then ask him) ma 22:54 balun niswati (how is the condition of 22:59 the women) allati qotna aidiahun (who 23:03 cut their hands). Innbi verily my Lord 23:10 regarding their deceit alimun is 23:15 all-knowing. That is it in its entirety 23:19 . And the king said, "Bring him to me." 23:24 When the messenger came to him, to 23:29 Prophet Yusuf, Yusuf said, "Return to 23:34 your master, ask him about the 23:39 situation of the women who wounded 23:44 their hands." Verily, my Lord knows 23:48 their deceit. Yes, that's right. Then 23:53 the messenger from the king met Prophet 23:58 Yusuf. They entered the prison asking 24:02 for Prophet Yusuf to meet the king to 24:05 explain what he had interpreted from 24:08 the dream. But what happened? This is 24:13 the beauty of this story. Prophet Yusuf 24:15 replied, "I cannot.""Go back and meet 24:18 your king.""I do not want to leave yet. 24:21 ""Before the matter of my imprisonment 24:26 is clearly revealed.""I entered this 24:32 prison because of the women who wounded 24:36 their hands upon seeing me.""That is 24:41 why I ended up in prison.""So, it was 24:43 not my fault.""I want to know their 24:45 current state." Ah, so that it becomes 24:48 clear. Furthermore, verse 51 states: "Q 24:58 ma khbukunna id rawattunna yusufa 25:03 nafsih. Qulna hasya lillahi maa alimna 25:10 alaihi min su. Qolat imroatul azizil 25:16 ana hashasol haqq." Said the king: "How 25:30 was your situation when you tried to 25:35 seduce Yusuf for himself?" They said, " 25:49 Far be it from Allah, we found no evil 25:52 in him.""We did not know of any evil." 25:59 Said the wife of the Aziz. The wife of 26:03 the Aziz said, "Now the truth has 26:07 become clear.""I was the one who 26:11 seduced him." to himself, and indeed he 26:17 is among the truthful. In verse 51, the 26:23 King says to the women, "What was your 26:28 state when you tempted Joseph to submit 26:33 himself?" They said, "Exalted is Allah. 26:40 We know of no evil about him." The wife 26:45 of Al-Aziz said, "Now the truth has 26:47 become clear. I tempted and seduced him 26:51 . And indeed, he is among the truthful. 26:55 ""The state" refers to the women's 26:58 opinion. Whether he was influenced by 27:01 the temptation or not, that is what is 27:03 meant. So, the wife of the King, the 27:08 wife of Al-Aziz, declared, "I tempted 27:11 him. Not he who tempted me." Dhalika, 27:16 dhalika li-ya'lama anni lam akhunhu 27:21 bil-ghaibi wa annallaha la yahdi 27:25 kaydal-kha'inin. Dhalika. That is, so 27:34 that he, the King, might know that I 27:39 did not betray him in his absence, and 27:45 that Allah does not guide the...... 27:52 deceit of the treacherous. The overall 27:56 meaning, Joseph said, "That is so that 27:59 Al-Aziz may know that I did not truly 28:02 betray him while he was away from home 28:04 and that Allah does not bless the 28:07 deceit of those who betray.""Thus, my 28:10 brothers, all of you. Finally, because 28:14 the wife of Al-Aziz confessed, Prophet 28:17 Joseph then said," Now, it's clear, 28:19 isn't it? It wasn't me who tempted her, 28:22 but she. "" And so that my master knows 28:26 , I would not betray him even if he 28:29 were not at home. "" Thus, brothers and 28:33 sisters, beloved by Allah Subhanahu wa 28:35 Ta'ala. "Hopefully, this is beneficial. 28:38 God willing, we will continue next 28:40 Friday. May Allah reward all your 28:41 attention. I apologize for all my 28:43 shortcomings. Let us conclude with the 28:45 kaffaratul majlis. Subhanakallahumma 28:47 wabihamdika, ashadu alla ilaha illa 28:49 anta. Very well. Assalamu alaikum 28:52 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Yeah.
