O Allah, teach me what 3:59 benefits me, benefit me with what You 4:00 have taught me, and grant me knowledge 4:02 that will benefit me. Listeners and 4:09 viewers of Rasil television wherever 4:13 you may be. Rasil is no longer 720, is 4:16 it? 7 4:17 29 4:18 729 4:20 729 4:21 Yes, 9, right? 4:23 But it is still AM. 4:25 AM. May this change at Rasil not 4:31 diminish the essence of the Da'wah 4:34 conducted here, God willing. Amen, O 4:37 Allah. Amen. 4:39 To all listeners wherever you are, I 4:42 pray that you are all in good health 4:45 and able to work as best as you can, 4:48 doing as many good deeds as possible, 4:51 so that our lives are filled with 4:54 devotion to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 5:00 This time, brothers, when someone, not 5:03 just us, Abi Agus, not just us, 5:06 actually, those of us living this life, 5:11 we all want to be happy, don't we? It's 5:16 not just us who want to live happily, 5:19 you know, without experiencing 5:22 difficulties that we as humans 5:25 shouldn't have to face. But it seems 5:30 that everyone also wants to enjoy a 5:32 happy and pleasant life, you know. Even 5:37 though the worldly pleasures that 5:40 impact our fate in the afterlife often 5:44 make people ignore doing good deeds 5:47 while living in this world. In fact, 5:52 many of them fall into wicked deeds, 5:54 sins, and immorality. So if we define 5:59 happiness or pleasure as forgiveness 6:03 from Allah, Abi Agus, then we will all 6:06 strive toward that forgiveness, toward 6:10 Allah's pardon. There is not a single 6:14 one of us who does not want to receive 6:16 forgiveness from Allah. We all desire 6:19 Allah's forgiveness, which ultimately 6:22 leads to happiness and pleasure. That 6:26 happiness in life, from this world to 6:29 the afterlife, the pleasure of living 6:31 from this world to the hereafter, is 6:34 the result of someone receiving Allah 6:36 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala's forgiveness. Now, 6:40 if we may open the prologue to this 6:43 tafsir, because this tafsir concerns a 6:46 person, that is, a servant of Allah 6:49 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, one must think 6:52 about oneself, one's fate in the 6:55 afterlife, to immediately admit 6:57 mistakes, acknowledge sins, improve 7:00 one's deeds, and evaluate, what you 7:03 might call, the programs that lead to 7:07 all good endeavors. This is the core of 7:11 our life, right. And this is in 7:14 accordance with the verse we are going 7:16 to discuss. Hm. Abi Agus, do you mind 7:20 if we chat for a bit? Go ahead. 7:23 So, how many kilometers long is 7:27 Indonesia? Come on. Right? It's really 7:32 long, isn't it? The length of Indonesia 7:37 is nearly 6,000 km. 7:39 H 7:40 The total area is almost 5 million, 7:43 more than 5 million-something square 7:47 meters. Subhanallah. Becoming, what do 7:51 you call it? If one could call it a 7:54 lighthouse. A lighthouse for a region 7:59 that is truly extraordinary, holding 8:03 much wealth, both in its vastness and 8:07 its length. Masyaallah. We even have no 8:13 less than 17,000 islands, right, 17,000 8:16 islands. So if we look at the beauty of 8:24 this land, the beauty of this country 8:28 when viewed from the world's material 8:32 needs, Subhanalladzim, this beautiful 8:36 and lovely country is clearly of 8:40 interest to many people. If we were to 8:46 liken Indonesia to a beautiful woman, 8:50 Abi Agus, then many eyes are gazing 8:54 upon Indonesia. that. And the very 9:01 sharp eyes gazing upon Indonesia are 9:05 satellite eyes. Satellites owned by 9:11 super power nations, right? That is the 9:17 satellite technology that can see the 9:19 condition, Subhanallah adzim, of what 9:22 lies beneath the ground. For us, the 9:27 span of this country is more or less up 9:30 to 6,000 km, right? This is the 9:34 extraordinary span of a nation. Then 9:37 from island to island there are straits 9:41 , right? There are capes, there are 9:44 beautiful beaches; these are 9:46 extraordinary facilities from Allah 9:49 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. And if we fail to 9:55 manage what God has given us in this 9:59 beautiful land, or if we misuse it, or 10:02 even get blinded by greed to enrich 10:06 ourselves recklessly. Then, Abi Agus, 10:12 it is not uncommon in Indonesia for 10:14 groups to emerge that are called " 10:17 compradors." 10:19 What is a comprador, Ustaz? A comprador 10:21 is not a matador, you know. If we look 10:26 it up in the Indonesian dictionary, the 10:30 big dictionary, a comprador is a 10:33 heartless group. They are even "kings 10:37 of heartlessness," so to speak. A group 10:41 that is heartless enough to turn 10:43 national interests into personal and 10:45 family interests—that is what we call 10:48 a comprador group. That's how it is. 10:51 Why? Because we live in a very wealthy 10:55 country, Abi Agus. A very beautiful 11:01 country, one that is extraordinary, 11:04 possessing food security if managed 11:08 well, and also materials related to 11:12 industry, and so on. Hmm. So if we look 11:19 today, everywhere in Indonesia, from 11:23 Sabang to Merauke, this comprador group 11:28 appears—people who are just so 11:32 heartless. When we talk about the state 11:36 , we are talking about the people, 11:37 right, Abi Agus? Yes, we are talking 11:40 about the masses. But this group is so 11:45 heartless; matters concerning the 11:47 public interest, the needs of the many, 11:50 are used only for personal gain. 11:54 Like that. For the interest of their 11:56 dynasties. Now, if this is left 11:58 unchecked, it is very dangerous. And it 12:02 seems many will have their mentalities 12:05 affected by this. This is where the 12:10 role of the kiai, the ustaz, and the 12:12 scholars in the community is needed, to 12:14 provide strong counsel to these 12:16 comprador groups. Because, in essence, 12:20 who are these compradors really? They 12:22 are those who are obsessed with the 12:24 world, purely worldly. So here, my 12:28 brothers in faith, there must be a 12:30 strong role for the kiai and the ustaz 12:33 to advise those who possess this 12:35 comprador nature. Namely, people who 12:39 only think of themselves and their 12:41 families without considering the 12:42 interests of the wider community. Now, 12:45 that is very dangerous. And this is 12:49 highly paradoxical to the teachings of 12:51 the Quran, which always invite us to 12:53 perform righteous deeds and obedience. 12:56 Isn't that right? It is truly 13:00 paradoxical to the invitations of the 13:02 Messenger, peace be upon him, on how we 13:04 must quickly repent if we are wrong. 13:06 Isn't that so? So, this very unbalanced 13:11 issue, if left unchecked, my brothers 13:14 in faith, will become a......a social 13:19 order that is very, very difficult to 13:22 steer toward the goodness of life. 13:26 Therefore, brothers in Allah, as for 13:33 that group, we no longer have 13:35 restrictions on speaking out, right? We 13:38 are free to speak, as long as we do not 13:41 break the law, right? Now, let's look 13:46 at the crimes committed by certain 13:48 groups in our country, specifically 13:51 what led to what you mentioned, Ustaz, 13:54 where the comprador group grows larger 13:57 and more powerful, committing boundless 14:00 injustices against their own people. We 14:05 are not saying that the comprador group 14:07 is the government. No. Because that 14:09 would be felt by everyone; it would 14:11 happen to everyone. But if it takes the 14:15 form of a community, it becomes very 14:17 dangerous. So, we see the injustices 14:21 committed by people who possess 14:23 excessive wealth. That, perhaps, as we 14:28 can see, will also emerge because there 14:31 are many pressures, right? Abi Agus, 14:36 have you ever heard the phrase "live 14:40 free or die"? 14:42 Yes. 14:42 Right? In the academic world, that is 14:47 called an antithetical statement. 14:52 That's what an antithetical statement 14:54 is like. Why? Because of existing 14:58 pressures. From whom do these pressures 15:01 come? Well, that comes from the 15:02 comprador group mentioned earlier. 15:04 Right? So, if a comprador group already 15:09 possesses power, authority, wealth, and 15:12 controls strategies and media, then 15:15 commits pressure and injustice, what 15:17 will that gradually give birth to? 15:21 Giving birth to a phrase. What phrase 15:24 was it? Live free or 15:28 or die, right? That is what you call an 15:31 antithesis. Now, ideally, being free 15:34 means living happily. Free means to 15:39 live, right? But why "or die"? 15:43 Yeah. There is a kind of, well, a 15:49 response from society that 15:51 automatically arises from the souls of 15:55 individuals who want to live. But in 16:00 reality, what must they experience? A 16:02 struggle that might lead to death. So, 16:06 this antithetical statement, to the 16:09 faithful, if formed within a community 16:12 that uses common sense, will make that 16:15 place full of people who possess what? 16:20 Who possess the character of a fighter. 16:22 Yes, that's good. Now, we hope that is 16:25 what happens in Indonesia, so what? So 16:29 that everywhere in that territory where 16:32 the comprador group exists, there are 16:34 also people ready to defend their 16:36 dignity. And, well, not just dignity, 16:42 but defending their homeland, right? 16:48 They even sacrifice their body and soul 16:51 ; they don't care. Because they truly 16:54 understand what it means to struggle. 16:57 Live free or die, right? Yes, that's it 17:00 . Now, because of this, today, to the 17:03 faithful and the scholars, do not stay 17:05 silent seeing conditions like this. 17:09 Right? Between...What this society 17:16 possesses, especially with both good 17:18 and bad groups, should not be left 17:20 alone. If we encounter a good group, we 17:26 are grateful, and we even advise them; 17:30 goodness must be perpetual. But when we 17:36 see a group that is not good, or people 17:39 who always cause destruction, we must 17:41 not remain silent. No, we must become 17:46 advisors of sorts. The term 'enjoining 17:50 good and forbidding evil' must always 17:53 remain alive. It must not cease. If 17:58 this 'enjoining good and forbidding 18:01 evil' stops, especially from the kiai 18:03 and scholars who understand the 18:06 distinction between truth and falsehood 18:08 , right and wrong, and the forbidden 18:11 and the lawful, there must be the 18:14 courage to always uphold the truth. 18:20 Because the verse 'wala yazaluna 18:22 mukhtalifin', interpreted by Ibn Kathir 18:25 as 'the people of falsehood', will 18:27 always exist. We must place ourselves 18:32 among the 'illa man rahim rabbuk', 18:34 which means the people of truth. The 18:37 people of truth are those who always 18:39 speak what is good and right. Guiding 18:41 others toward goodness and so on, so 18:44 that there is balance. If not, O 18:46 brothers of faith, the world will be 18:47 filled with that other group. May God 18:50 protect us from that. Yes, this is it, 18:53 brothers. So, the verse we will discuss 18:56 is how humans, once they have fallen 18:59 into a dark world, black and full of 19:06 sin and vice. We must invite them to 19:11 return. We must invite them to return. 19:17 Today, life is full of people who are 19:19 obsessed with wealth, obsessed with the 19:22 world, pragmatic, and hedonistic groups 19:25 . Everyone wants to get rich quick, 19:30 regardless of the process. 19:33 Shortcuts. 19:34 Shortcuts, right? Shortcuts through 19:37 corruption, not caring about taking 19:39 others 'rights; that is pragmatic. 19:43 Right now, groups like this are roaming 19:46 everywhere, and their numbers, 19:47 subhanallah, are significant. 19:53 Significant in terms of their personnel 19:55 or the volume of their assets. So if 20:01 Indonesia is controlled by groups like 20:04 this, and their material wealth is in 20:06 the trillions, it is as if Indonesia 20:08 will be ruled by illicit money. Illicit 20:13 money is found everywhere in Indonesian 20:15 cities. What happens to the law in a 20:19 country where illicit wealth circulates 20:22 in every city? This is what we must be 20:27 concerned about. So, we invite such 20:30 people—what is our invitation? Stop 20:34 your dirty deeds. Stop your wicked 20:38 intentions in life. Remember that 20:40 tomorrow you will die. That is a good 20:42 reminder. Isn't that right? Especially 20:44 since the perpetrators today are 20:45 already 60 years old. Yes. 20:47 Those committing crimes today. If I 20:50 look at the analysis, have I ever 20:52 analyzed today's crimes? It turns out 20:56 the perpetrators are between 60, 61, 62 20:58 , and 63 years old. Remember, that age 21:04 is very risky, it's injury time. In 21:09 that' injury time ', when we see these 21:12 groups of evil people emerging in their 21:16 60s, do they not think that tomorrow, 21:19 if they die, the wealth they possess 21:25 from things forbidden by Allah—when 21:27 they die, where do they return to? We 21:34 return only to Allah Subhanahu wa 21:36 ta'ala, we return only to the Creator 21:38 who will ask us about what we have done 21:41 in this world. So, brothers, today we 21:47 must not be late in offering advice to 21:51 those who, subhanallah adzim, are 21:54 trapped by worldly temptations and 21:57 whispers of the devil, so what happens? 22:01 They justify any means without limits, 22:04 you know. Unlimited, right, Abi Agus? 22:07 Even though wealth is already 22:08 everywhere. Allahu Akbar. Trillions, 22:11 even tens or hundreds of trillions they 22:13 possess, right? Just from cigarettes 22:17 alone, if we look at one year, Abi Agus 22:21 , I once calculated it would reach 400 22:24 trillion, 4,000 trillion, nauzubillah 22:28 minzalik. Where does all that money go? 22:31 Not to mention toll roads, electricity, 22:33 water bills, or social security, right? 22:37 Where does all that money go, you know? 22:40 Well, it turns out if we analyze it 22:41 honestly, brothers, they are the ones 22:43 benefiting from it. Those comprador 22:45 groups are the ones utilizing it. 22:48 Let’s invite them to repent to Allah. 22:53 Come on, you who live like that, return 22:54 to the path of Allah Subhanahu wa 22:56 ta'ala. Strip away those sinful deeds; 23:00 it will be dangerous if continued. 23:03 Especially since our age is already 23:05 what? Already at dusk. Tomorrow we die 23:08 and return to the soil, wealth is not 23:10 brought along. Are we really only going 23:13 to bring sins and mistakes? Repent to 23:16 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. O comprador 23:18 groups. You know. O hedonistic, 23:23 materialistic people, you know. Those 23:27 who only want to live for the world and 23:30 forget about the afterlife. In fact, 23:33 not a few of them do not even believe 23:34 in the existence of the afterlife. This 23:36 is what is dangerous. Even though they 23:38 are Muslims on their ID cards. Even 23:42 though they are Muslims by ID. 23:44 Just their ID. This invitation, 23:47 brothers, I am only using Surah 23:49 Az-Zumar verse 53 earlier, which reads, 23:52 "A'udzubillahi minasyaitanirrajim."" 23:55 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim." Right? That 23:59 is. La ilaha illallah Muhammad 24:07 Rasulullah. Ibn Kathir interprets this 24:12 verse, which is Surah Az-Zumar verse 53 24:15 . It reads, "A'udzubillahi 24:20 minasyaitanirrajim, Qul ya' ibadi 24:23 alladzina asrafu 'ala anfusihim la 24:27 taqnathu mirahmatillah.""Innallaha 24:33 yaghfirudzunuba jami'a, innahu..." Say, 24:42 O Muhammad, O My servants, to whom is 24:44 this command directed? To our Prophet 24:48 Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, 24:49 who must convey it to Allah's servants. 24:52 "O My servants," says Allah Subhanahu 24:55 wa ta'ala, those who exceed the limits 24:58 in their sins, who wrong themselves 25:01 with various dirty and despicable acts. 25:05 That is it. Hmm. Do not despair. Allah 25:10 is not hateful. Toward them, He is not 25:15 hateful. In fact, Allah's affection for 25:18 them is excessive. That is the true 25:20 compassion of Allah. But how come they 25:24 never feel that Allah loves them? 25:28 Instead, they just keep on, subhanallah 25:31 adzim, doing what they want without any 25:34 limits. Humanity, you know. Even though 25:40 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala says, "La 25:42 taqnathu min rahmatillah." If you 25:44 indeed fill the world with evil and sin 25:47 , Allah is still compassionate, you 25:49 know. If you return to Me, cleanse 25:53 yourself first, you know. And do not 25:56 despair while living in this world. Yes 25:59 , to whom is this address directed? To 26:02 those who are evil. This verse is 26:06 addressed to those who commit sins, 26:09 immoral acts, oppression, and evil 26:12 deeds. Even so, Allah still gives an 26:15 opportunity not to lose hope. Lose hope 26:19 of what? Of the mercy of Allah 26:21 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Because, in 26:23 essence, the mercy of Allah encompasses 26:25 everything. That's how it is. It’s 26:30 just that, when we observe, day by day 26:33 —subhanallah—it’s unclear where 26:36 these friends trapped in that comprador 26:39 group are headed. There is no sense in 26:45 them to repent or improve themselves, 26:48 right? Whether personally, as a family, 26:52 or in society. This is very dangerous, 26:55 my brothers, because what will it 26:56 impact? The comfort of life as a nation 27:00 and a state, you see. If wealth only 27:04 circulates within those groups through 27:07 improper means, it greatly affects all 27:09 the people. Because those who get to 27:12 taste this country are not just them; 27:14 the whole population should be able to 27:16 taste it. So, the ustaz is only giving 27:20 this guidance through verses of the 27:22 Qur'an. La taqnatu mir-rahmatillah. O 27:26 friends who are drifting in base 27:27 desires by committing sins and 27:29 oppression, do not lose hope in the 27:31 mercy of Allah. This is the advice of 27:33 the kiai. Stop, meaning stop those 27:37 actions, stop that oppression. That's 27:40 how it is. Or ask for fatwas and 27:43 opinions from the scholars who are 27:45 around that group. Because it turns out 27:48 there are many scholars living around 27:49 that group, right, Abi Agus? Ask them 27:52 for advice on how we should live our 27:55 lives now, right? After controlling the 27:59 economy, having so much happiness that 28:02 is—subhanallah—beyond what many 28:04 people can feel. What should I do? And 28:08 once you ask for advice from those 28:10 scholars. Then do not lose hope in the 28:13 mercy of Allah. If indeed there is 28:17 within all our souls an awareness to 28:23 strip away sin and immorality, then 28:26 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, just as He 28:28 says, innallaha yaghfirudz-zunuba 28:31 jami'a. Allah will forgive our sins 28:34 entirely. Entirely, "jami'ah" means all 28:38 of them, if we are truly willing to 28:40 repent, right? If not, well, it's each 28:43 person's own affair to bear later in 28:46 the hereafter. Innahu 28:49 huwal-ghafurur-rahim. And Allah 28:51 Subhanahu wa ta'ala is the entity who 28:53 is most forgiving and most merciful. 28:56 This khitab, this call, is to jami'un 28:59 nas or jami'ul usat. To all humans, 29:03 what is "usat," Gus? Those who commit 29:07 immoral acts. 29:08 Those who are currently committing sins 29:09 . Right, like that. This is the first 29:14 verse. And the second verse, brothers, 29:17 is the 54th verse. Allah decrees a 29:26 continuation of the first verse, which 29:29 is verse 54. Wa anibu ilaihi. Now, this 29:33 is after humans who commit sins are 29:36 invited to repent, right? Well, 29:40 sometimes that invitation is successful 29:43 , and sometimes it is not. Agus, it's 29:47 like us pulling a buffalo, right? The 29:52 big one the rope we are pulling. 29:59 Sometimes that buffalo, even though we 30:01 are trying to save it from a mud pit, 30:03 so to speak, Agus. So, it turns out, 30:08 Agus, the buffalo we try to save—the 30:12 one whose legs are stuck in the mud— 30:16 sometimes resists being pulled by the 30:21 rope, right? Well, it turns out many 30:26 humans are just like these buffalo. 30:28 Buffalo stuck in the mud. Even those 30:31 not stuck in the mud, the fat ones, 30:34 when we try to lead them, they 30:36 sometimes fight back. Isn't that right, 30:39 Agus? Very rarely do they immediately 30:42 obey; there is usually resistance. Now, 30:45 this resistance, brothers and sisters, 30:47 must also be countered by what? By 30:50 being self-aware. That we have been 30:54 invited by others to do good. Why 30:56 refuse? That's the point. Allah invites 30:58 us through verse 54. "Wa anibu," you 31:01 see. "Wa anibu wa aslimu lahu min qabli 31:06 an ya'tiyakumul-' adabu tumma la 31:08 tunsarun." Now, "anibu" here means 31:14 return to Allah. Follow the path 31:19 directed by Allah, that is. "Al-inabah" 31:23 means to return. And "wal-mubadaratu 31:27 ilaiha." And actually, when someone 31:29 invites us, we should be racing toward 31:32 it. If someone invites us to goodness, 31:36 to receive the reward, we should race 31:38 for it. If we truly understand that 31:41 condition. "Wa anibu biqulubikum wa 31:49 aslimu lahu bijawarihikum." So return 31:55 with your hearts, for we are given 31:57 hearts by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. It 32:02 is not fitting for humans who possess 32:06 hearts and feelings to wallow in 32:09 mistakes and sin, or lose those 32:12 feelings, and all the goodness in their 32:19 souls, so they keep wallowing in 32:22 feelings that reek of sin. There is a 32:25 feeling, 32:26 Brother Agus. There is a feeling, 32:31 between faith and, um, violations and 32:36 sin, that is always, what shall I say? 32:40 Always racing in our lives. 32:42 Yes. 32:42 So, 32:44 today we invite everyone to improve " 32:47 al-jawarih." What? Improving our limbs 32:52 from the impurities of this life. 32:56 All right, Ustaz. 32:57 I, 32:58 Ustaz, let's take a break first, Ustaz. 33:00 Of course, Insha'Allah. 33:01 Very well, brothers and sisters who are 33:03 blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 33:06 We will take a short break and return 33:09 to you after the following pause to 33:12 answer some questions from our brothers 33:16 and sisters. Stay with us in this 33:19 morning's tausiah program with Ustaz 33:21 Umar Rasyid Hasan. Radio Silaturahim. 37:06 Silaturahim for a united Islam, 37:08 broadcast from Jalan Masjid Silaturahim 37:12 number 36, Kalimanggis, Cibubur, Bekasi 37:15 . Radio Silaturahim for a united Islam. 37:18 Brothers and sisters, thank you for 37:21 staying with us in today's morning 37:25 tausiah program with Ustaz Umar Rasyid 37:28 Hasan. There is a comment from Mr. 37:32 Rosid: "Ustaz, please pray for my son, 37:35 Fa, who is currently performing Umrah, 37:38 may he be granted health and may his 37:40 Umrah be mabrur." Amin ya rabbal alamin 37:43 . 37:43 Amin ya rabbal alamin. 37:44 Very well, then a question from Mr. 37:47 Rian. Peace be upon you, and Allah's 37:50 mercy and blessings, Ustaz. 37:51 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 37:52 mercy and blessings. Ustaz, at the end 37:55 of communal prayers, Ustaz or Ustazah 37:58 often pray for Indonesia to become a 38:01 baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur 38:04 nation. Has that prayer been answered 38:07 for Indonesia, Ustaz, or how is it? 38:10 Yes. In the name of Allah, the Most 38:12 Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise 38:13 is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 38:13 May the blessings of Allah be upon our 38:14 Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all 38:16 his companions. To proceed. How is this 38:19 prayer answered for the Indonesian 38:22 nation? This country must become a 38:27 baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur. 38:33 For us today, this verse still remains 38:37 like a daydream. This phrase is an 38:43 incredibly powerful one. Even in our 38:47 study today, if followed closely, Abe 38:50 Agus, from the three verses discussed, 38:52 there are three sentences that could 38:55 bring this nation to become a baldatun 38:57 thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur. The 53rd 39:03 verse used an invitation using the 39:07 phrase, "Ya ibadi," yes, "O My servants 39:11 ." That is the vocative particle. Allah 39:14 calls out to the people of Indonesia, 39:16 the Ummah of Muhammad, may Allah's 39:18 peace and blessings be upon him. What 39:21 is the content of Allah's call? Yes, 39:24 the content of Allah's call is to 39:27 create and prove that the aspiration 39:31 happens. The invitation by Allah is the 39:35 answer for this nation. Will it obtain 39:39 a baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur 39:41 nation, as per the prayers of the 39:44 scholars, or not? That is the question. 39:47 If this call is not answered, then 39:49 surely, a baldatun thayyibatun cannot 39:51 happen. Now, the first part uses "Ya," 39:56 the vocative particle, a calling phrase 39:59 . "Ya ibadi," right? O My servants. 40:04 What is that for? Allah calls out for 40:07 us to reflect once again. Secondly, 40:10 Allah provides the facility, the path, 40:16 the way, "wa anibu." The second part is 40:21 to return to Allah after being called 40:23 by Allah, the Almighty. Let's return to 40:26 repentance, return to improving 40:28 ourselves, right? And the third, oh 40:33 brothers of faith, are the programs 40:35 that must be carried out by the people 40:38 of a country if they truly want to 40:40 receive the promise from Allah, the 40:43 Almighty, of being a baldatun 40:45 thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur; they must 40:47 be willing to follow Allah's guidance. 40:51 What is Allah's guidance? This is the 40:53 answer, Abe Agus. "Wa-tabi'u ahsana ma 40:57 unzila ilaykum min rabbikum." That is, 41:03 one must follow good deeds or good 41:07 programs that Allah sent down through 41:11 His book, the Quran. Follow the Quran. 41:15 What does that mean, Agus? The core of 41:18 the aspiration to make this country a 41:21 baldatun thayyibatun. It is when the 41:25 nation is based on the Quran. So today, 41:29 if someone asks, as you did earlier, 41:33 all the Kiai and Ustaz pray at the end 41:35 of their lectures, "O Allah, make this 41:38 nation a baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun 41:40 ghafur." But we never answer what Allah 41:44 desires. That is why we never walk on 41:48 the path that pleases Allah. We never 41:52 want to obey what Allah, the Almighty, 41:55 commands. Those life-guiding directions 41:57 . Our goals today are still far from 42:01 being reached. But do not lose hope, 42:04 brothers. In this country, thank God, 42:08 there are still many righteous people. 42:10 In our beloved country, there are still 42:13 many devout people who, when invited to 42:16 do good, are still, thank God, 42:19 interested in doing those good deeds. 42:22 Do not lose hope. If those we invite to 42:27 stop sinning refuse to accept it, to 42:30 create a land that is a "baldatun 42:33 thayyibatun," then do not rely on them. 42:39 To make this country a "baldatun 42:41 thayyibatun warabbun ghafur," start 42:43 with ourselves and our families so that 42:45 this goodness will eventually spread to 42:47 other families. Yes, right? until all 42:52 across this archipelago, people's 42:54 desire is to make their country a " 42:56 baldatun""thayyibatun""thayyibatun 42:58 warabbun ghafur." 42:59 God knows best. Very well. 43:00 Alright, thank you, Ustaz, for your 43:03 answer. Next, there is Grandma Jamilah. 43:08 Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and 43:09 blessings. 43:11 And peace be upon you, and God's mercy 43:13 and blessings. 43:14 Thank you, Ustaz. The discussion in 43:17 today's session really touched my heart 43:20 . I truly hope that those who have lost 43:25 their way and mismanaged this country 43:27 realize that this land does not belong 43:29 to their ancestors alone, but to the 43:31 entire Indonesian nation. And hopefully 43:34 , those who are lost will wake up and 43:36 return to the path blessed by Allah 43:38 subhanahu wa ta'ala. Amen, O Lord of 43:40 the worlds. 43:40 Amen, O Lord of the worlds. So, for 43:43 Mother Jamilah, this is a hope from a 43:46 mother who, glory to God, has tasted 43:49 the joy of life in Indonesia, right, 43:52 Abi Agus? 43:54 The joy of life here in Indonesia is 43:57 not the same as life in America. Even 44:01 though it promises excessive material 44:03 wealth there, right? We are people who 44:08 have, thank God, tasted the traits and 44:11 characteristics of Eastern culture. 44:16 Which today, those Eastern 44:18 characteristics are being eroded by 44:20 what? By Western civilization. Western 44:24 civilization, from time to time, has 44:25 been one of colonization. Let's look at 44:29 the history of their civilization; it 44:31 is a civilization of colonization, a 44:33 civilization of plunder. a civilization 44:37 of turning the people of a nation into 44:40 forced laborers. Now, we Eastern people 44:44 have a civilization. Glory to the 44:48 Almighty, our taste for life is the 44:50 taste for human life worldwide. But 44:54 that sense is now being torn apart by 44:56 colonizers. you know. So let us 45:00 together restore our identity as 45:02 Easterners who possess those Eastern 45:05 characteristics and who, inevitably, do 45:08 not want to be colonized. Now, the 45:12 colonization is actually being done by 45:14 our own people. So the comfort of this 45:17 life will be disturbed. Even when 45:21 colonized by other nations, our lives 45:24 were disturbed, which led us to try to 45:26 give birth to a generation of fighters. 45:30 Ustaz once said this country, when 45:32 colonized by the Dutch, was essentially 45:36 not by the Dutch state. This country 45:40 was once colonized only by a company. 45:42 What is that company? Like a 45:45 corporation. 45:46 A corporation. 45:47 The VOC, right? 45:48 Yes. Yes, the VOC that originated from 45:51 the Netherlands. Well, in the past, 45:55 Indonesia was colonized by the VOC, 45:58 subhanalladzim, which essentially 46:00 consisted of the Dutch, because the 46:02 land they colonized was the land they 46:05 wanted to take. It gave birth to so 46:09 many mujahid. Is that right, Agus? In 46:13 that era, our mujahid, like Diponegoro, 46:17 right? Pangeran Ali Basah Sentot 46:21 Prawirodirjo, right? 46:23 Yes. 46:24 Teuku Umar and so on, when that 46:26 physical war happened, it produced many 46:28 mujahid who were willing to die. But 46:33 now this country is not colonized by 46:35 others, but by its own people. Now, if 46:40 this country is colonized by its own 46:42 people, would we be willing to go to 46:43 war with our own brothers? Right? Now 46:48 this war is not a physical war, but an 46:50 economic war. When it's an economic war 46:53 , all that is sought is material and 46:54 worldly gain, Allahu Akbar. Brothers, a 46:57 war like this will not produce mujahid. 47:02 What it produces are people who are 47:04 crazy about the world. Just look, 47:06 observe our lives today. Where are the 47:09 mujahid? Even if there are any, they 47:12 can still be counted on one's fingers. 47:14 Back then, oh, mujahid appeared 47:16 everywhere. Pangeran Antasari 47:19 represented the eastern region, right? 47:22 Then Java was represented by Pangeran 47:25 Diponegoro. Sumatra was represented by 47:30 Teuku Umar, right? And various others, 47:33 specifically Banten was represented by 47:36 Pangeran Hasanuddin during the physical 47:39 war, and the end goal of all these wars 47:41 was to ask Allah for a baldatun 47:44 thayyibah. thayyibah wa rabbun ghafur. 47:46 But now, it will be difficult for us to 47:48 achieve that. Why? Because humans today 47:50 are too crazy about the world. And when 47:53 it comes to the issue of being crazy 47:55 about the world, there is no limit for 47:56 humans today. Subhanallah, there is no 47:59 limit. So today, we subhanalladzim are 48:03 at war with ourselves. And now it's an 48:06 economic war. Once again, an economic 48:10 war is very, subhanallah, naive. If it 48:13 were to produce mujahid, instead, it 48:15 produces people who are crazy about the 48:17 world. That is the true disease of 48:19 al-wahan. Wallahualam bis-shawab, Agus. 48:22 We must not follow this pattern of life 48:24 . Nauzubillahi min dzalik. 48:26 Alright, Ustaz. Thank you. Next, a 48:29 question from Eyang Sri. Peace be upon 48:32 you and Allah's mercy and blessings, 48:34 Ustaz. Peace be upon you and Allah's 48:36 mercy and blessings. 48:37 For us small people, loving domestic 48:39 products is always in our hearts. But 48:41 what happens is that sometimes we 48:42 really like imported goods. So what 48:45 kind of prayer is good for me to offer 48:49 to Allah so that we all love domestic 48:53 products? 48:56 The thing requested by Mother is a form 48:58 of prayer, yes. 48:59 Yeah. 48:59 There are many such prayers. This is a 49:01 special prayer for loving domestic 49:03 products. To love domestic products 49:07 through prayer, yes, you may choose, 49:10 Mother, right? Maybe a prayer by 49:14 beseeching Allah using the prayer: " 49:16 Allahumma arinal haqqo haqqo 49:18 warzuqnat-tiba'ah." That can work, 49:21 right? "Wa arinal bathila bathila 49:25 warzuqnaj-tinabah." Right? O Allah, 49:27 show us. It's something like that, you 49:33 know, when you obtain it as a blessing 49:38 and you can follow the good in it. And 49:44 that is something rightful by nature. 49:46 Rightful things can indeed be 49:48 Indonesian products that are considered 49:50 lawful. What are lawful Indonesian 49:52 products? Those that do not violate 49:54 Islamic law. Islam. 49:56 Yes. Like now, Abi Agus, there are many 50:01 clothes made from pig skin, right? Or 50:08 makeups or Yes, women's goods, what are 50:13 they made of? They're made from lard, 50:15 right? We must pray to Allah; we can 50:17 use this prayer. Allahumma arinal haqqo 50:20 haqqo warzuqna ittibaah. Oh Allah, what 50:24 is it? What is it called? Show us the 50:27 new products, products that are lawful, 50:30 right, and not mixed with prohibited 50:33 ingredients like pork. And to pursue 50:37 those products, many Indonesian 50:38 children are capable of producing them 50:41 too. So, many prayers may not be 50:45 specific to that. But the essence is in 50:49 the universal prayer: Rabbana atina fid 50:52 dunya hasanah wafil akhirati hasan 50:55 waqina adzaban nar. Wallahu a'lam (God 50:57 knows best). 50:57 We move to the final question, Ustaz. 50:59 Yes, it seems our time is running out. 51:01 Yes, from Ibu Indah. Assalamu'alaikum 51:04 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 51:05 Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 51:06 wabarakatuh. 51:08 I would like to ask, what is the role 51:10 of the ulama in facing the upcoming 51:12 political year in Indonesia, so that 51:15 our ulama do not get trapped in the 51:17 political vortex that could break our 51:19 unity and cohesion? 51:21 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 51:23 , the Most Merciful. The role of the 51:25 ulama, in my personal opinion, is 51:27 essentially this. We must act as 51:30 referees. What is a referee? An 51:35 arbitrator. We should act as an 51:38 arbitration body. Arbitration for what? 51:41 Sharia arbitration. Why must we 51:45 position these scholars as arbitrators? 51:49 Because we are facing two opposing 51:52 camps. Or even three opposing camps. 51:56 Four camps that are in conflict. 52:00 Imagine, Mother, if in a football match 52:03 there were no referee, what would 52:05 happen? 52:08 It would be chaotic, Ustaz. 52:09 Now, Abi Agus is the one answering that 52:11 . Indonesia would descend into chaos, 52:15 and that chaos would have an 52:17 extraordinary, subhanallah, destructive 52:20 impact. So, the ulama must act as 52:24 referees. And a referee cannot take 52:28 sides with the team they favor. That's 52:32 not possible. Be an honest, trustworthy 52:34 referee. Be a fair referee who can put 52:39 everything in its proper place. That is 52:42 the meaning of justice. If there are 52:46 unruly parties in this republic, the 52:50 ulama—who sit in that arbitration 52:54 position—should advise them. If there 52:59 is a group that cheats, advise them. 53:03 If there are people who do evil, give 53:05 them advice. That is what being fair is 53:06 . Whether they accept it or not, don't 53:09 worry about it. Even players on a 53:11 football field make mistakes. Then, 53:14 when reminded by the referee, they 53:15 might not accept it and feel they are 53:17 right; it’s like that. However, the 53:21 role of scholars as arbitrators, as 53:23 what you might call referees, is 53:26 crucial for the state of our society. 53:30 Unfortunately, today society is in such 53:34 disarray, conflicting in thoughts, in 53:37 energy, in economy, right? Fighting 53:40 over what is called this worldly life. 53:43 Allahu Akbar. The world they are 53:45 fighting over, oh God, is trivial, as 53:47 the Prophet peace be upon him said, 53:49 scholars, look at this. That is it. 53:52 Therefore, I invite the scholars, 53:54 including the heads of Islamic boarding 53:56 schools. I was also at a boarding 53:58 school in Gontor, so the scholars in 54:00 Gontor. Come on, give your advice to 54:03 the community. Whether they are my 54:06 seniors back in Gontor, or my juniors 54:08 in Gontor, or my peers. Come on, let us 54:11 be figures for society. For what? To 54:13 provide the community with comfort 54:15 through our advice. And right now, many 54:19 scholars are still—the problem is, 54:21 many clerics are keeping a low profile. 54:23 Only he shows up. It’s always the 54:25 same people upholding righteousness and 54:26 forbidding evil. Isn't that right, 54:28 Bagus? 54:29 Only those few people have the courage 54:30 to uphold righteousness and forbid evil 54:32 . Where are the others? You know? 54:37 Meanwhile, evil, crime, and tyranny are 54:40 becoming increasingly rampant. Allahu 54:44 Akbar. Walillahilhamd. That is why let 54:48 us be fully aware that the 54:49 responsibility of life is not just when 54:52 we finish school, you know. 54:55 Hm. The responsibility of life is not 54:59 just when we are comfortable sitting in 55:02 a plush chair with a position, with a 55:04 position of a general or even president 55:06 . That responsibility of life is not 55:12 just, not merely about us having the 55:14 desired position, no. But what we must 55:18 think about is the responsibility we 55:21 should uphold to fully maintain our 55:24 life as a nation and state; giving a 55:27 sense of comfort to the people from the 55:31 government, giving respect from the 55:34 people to the government, from, what do 55:37 you call it, dignity and honor, so as 55:40 to make this country a nation that is 55:44 subhanallah, comfortable for all 55:47 parties. Now, today we are, subhanallah 55:50 , exactly as the Mother said earlier, 55:53 this country is becoming more chaotic. 55:57 The role of scholars today, my brothers 55:58 and sisters, is being questioned. So if 56:01 the scholars in Indonesia realize this 56:04 and emerge to the surface to become 56:07 advisors for the conditions we are 56:09 currently experiencing together. 56:13 Hopefully, with that, many of the 56:15 things we hope for will happen, namely 56:18 the awareness of mistakes and the 56:20 awareness of our duty to evaluate our 56:23 lives, God willing, will occur. 56:25 Wallahualam. Inshaallah. 56:26 Very well. And we hope that Allah 56:28 Subhanahu wa ta'ala will always 56:30 everything returns to Allah for this 56:32 country, Ustaz. And also always be with 56:35 us. Brothers and sisters. That 56:38 concludes our sermon today, this 56:40 morning with Ustaz Umar Rasyid Hasan. 56:44 And as a closing, we will listen to the 56:46 conclusion of what he has conveyed to 56:49 us all. 56:50 Yes, the conclusion, brothers of faith, 56:52 the Ustaz wants this country to be 56:54 balanced. Ustaz, you want this country 56:59 to be balanced in all things so that 57:02 the dreams of all its children are 57:05 achieved. What do you mean by that, 57:07 Ustaz? Balanced. Balanced between the 57:09 existence of good and bad. How do we 57:13 balance it? There must be a referee. 57:17 Balanced between the oppressors and 57:21 those who are enjoining good and 57:23 forbidding evil. How do we sit together 57:28 to determine our future steps, hoping 57:32 that this country does not fall into 57:35 chaos, into disarray, fighting over a 57:39 world that, subhanallah, we will 57:42 eventually leave behind. This is a very 57:47 wealthy country. Even without fighting, 57:49 we would still reap that wealth. Abi 57:51 Agus. This country offers prosperity to 57:55 all its people from Sabang to Merauke 57:58 without the need to wage war, without 58:01 the need, so to speak, to prove who is 58:04 stronger. No. This country's bounty 58:06 will be felt by all of Allah's 58:08 creatures on this earth. Even across 58:10 the globe, yes. Why? Materials in 58:13 Indonesia are also taken by America, 58:15 aren't they? Materials in Indonesia are 58:18 also taken by France, and by Britain as 58:19 well. Meaning the blessings of 58:22 Indonesia can be tasted by the people 58:24 of the world. Therefore, brothers, no 58:28 matter how much we chase after what we 58:31 desire, whether material, worldly, or 58:33 everything in it. Remember one thing, 58:37 Allah invites us to think that tomorrow 58:42 , when we leave this world through 58:44 death, what will we bring to the 58:46 afterlife when we stand before Allah 58:49 Subhanahu wa ta'ala? This is what we 58:51 must contemplate. If we do not think in 58:55 that direction, then life will always 58:58 be in chaos, following desires that 59:00 have no bounds. Abi Agus. Yes, let us 59:04 not be like that. May we, insha'Allah 59:07 Ta'ala, end with a good life, and may 59:09 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive our 59:11 sins, and may our dreams be achieved, 59:13 making this nation a 'baldatun 59:14 thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur'(a good 59:16 land with a forgiving Lord). Wallahu 59:18 a'lam. 59:19 Alright, thank you, Ustaz. Brothers and 59:21 sisters. Thus, we have listened to the 59:24 presentation from Ustaz Umar Rasyid 59:25 Hasan. May what he shared be beneficial 59:30 . In closing, we would like to take our 59:33 leave. Thank you for all your attention 59:36 . Wabillahi taufiq wal hidayah. 59:39 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 59:41 wabarakatuh.
