- It was smooth, Ustaz. MasyaAllah.
- Usually, it is congested, right, Ustaz?
- Yes, it usually is. MasyaAllah.
- Alright, Ustaz. On this afternoon's
- occasion, our discussion is still on
- the book Mukhtarul Ahadis An-Nabawiyyah
- , right, Ustaz?
- Yes, that's correct.
- MasyaAllah. We will continue from last
- week's discussion, right, Ustaz?
- Yes. Alright, to the brothers and
- sisters listening to Radio Silaturahim.
- Let us listen to the study from Ustaz
- Ahmad Zaki on the book Mukhtarul Ahadis
- An-Nabawiyyah. We begin by reciting the
- prayer for seeking knowledge. In the
- name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the
- Most Merciful. O my Lord, increase me
- in knowledge. O Allah, benefit me with
- what You have taught me, teach me what
- will benefit me, and grant me useful
- knowledge. Amen. Please go ahead, Ustaz
- .
- I seek refuge in Allah from the
- accursed Satan. In the name of Allah,
- the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
- All praise is to Allah, praise that
- fulfills His favors and corresponds to
- their increase. O our Lord, to You be
- all praise and gratitude, as it befits
- the majesty of Your face and the
- greatness of Your sovereignty. Glory be
- to You, O Allah; I cannot count Your
- praises, for You are as You have
- praised Yourself. And I bear witness
- that there is no god but Allah, alone,
- having no partner. And I bear witness
- that our master and prophet Muhammad is
- His servant, messenger, chosen one, and
- beloved; the best of prophets sent by
- Allah to all the worlds as a bearer of
- glad tidings and a warner. O Allah,
- send prayers, peace, blessings, and
- honor upon Your servant and messenger
- Muhammad, and upon his family and
- companions, with peace and blessings.
- Furthermore, dear listeners, Radio
- Silaturahim, may Allah have mercy on
- you. Peace, mercy, and blessings of
- Allah be upon you.
- And upon you peace. Never weary, and
- never ceasing, we offer our gratitude
- to Allah the Almighty. Just as Allah
- never wearies and never ceases to
- bestow His various blessings upon us.
- With those blessings, we are able to
- carry out our activities, fulfill His
- commands, and abstain from His
- prohibitions. We also do not forget to
- send prayers and greetings to our
- Prophet Muhammad, may the prayers and
- peace of Allah be upon him, who became
- the means through which we came to have
- faith and follow Islam, thanks to his
- services. Listeners, dear listeners of
- Radio Silaturahim, as usual, before we
- begin, firstly, let us start this
- afternoon's study by reciting the
- Mother of the Quran, Surah Al-Fatihah.
- At the same time, we seek blessings and
- pray to Allah the Almighty through the
- medium of Surah Al-Fatihah. May Allah
- the Almighty always guide us, and grant
- us steadfastness. May Allah establish
- us in the Islamic faith until the end
- of our lives. And may Allah bless our
- lives. I seek refuge in Allah from the
- accursed Satan. In the name of Allah,
- the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
- All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the
- worlds, the Most Gracious, the Most
- Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment
- . You alone we worship and You alone we
- ask for help. Guide us to the straight
- path, the path of those upon whom You
- have bestowed favor, not of those who
- have evoked [Your] anger or of those
- who are astray. Amen. Listeners of
- Radio Rasil, may Allah have mercy on
- you. God willing, this afternoon we
- will study several hadiths of the
- Prophet concerning our daily lives. The
- first is hadith number 490. Reported
- from the Messenger of Allah, peace and
- blessings be upon him: "enter Paradise.
- " There are three points that, if all
- three exist within a person, within all
- of us, "Allah will account him with an
- easy account." Allah will account for
- us, but with an easy account, a simple
- one, not a detailed or rigorous one.
- Because if Allah were to account for us
- with the truly rigorous, detailed, and
- precise account, certainly, none of us
- would be saved. Just as those who do
- not believe in Allah the Almighty, they
- will face a difficult account. As for
- us, the believers, who are serious in
- our religion, who always carry out
- Allah's commands and leave His
- prohibitions as much as possible, even
- though there are many shortcomings here
- and there, God willing, Allah will
- account for us with an easy account, "
- and will enter him into Paradise." And
- Allah will admit that believer into His
- Paradise. The first of those three
- points, those three attitudes, is to
- give to one who denies you. We must
- give to someone who denies their
- kindness to us. Those who never do good
- to us, never help us, never give us
- anything at all, not even greeting us
- or offering a smile. Now, how do we
- deal with such a person? The Messenger
- of Allah provides a way. If we want to
- receive an easy account and pass safely
- toward the Paradise of Allah the
- Almighty. So, to give to one who denies
- , we must give to the person who denies
- their kindness to us. This is not an
- easy thing to do. In theory, it is easy
- ; patience is easy to say, but how
- difficult it is when we face trials,
- how to actually practice that patience.
- The same applies to people who are not
- kind to us, who completely never smile
- at us. in fact, they look away from us.
- Now, what should our attitude be?
- Certainly, *tuti man haramak*. We give
- the best to that person. That is where
- our test lies. The size of our reward
- is certainly in accordance with our
- efforts. How we force ourselves to
- fight our desires, to cast aside our
- ego. This is not something easy, but
- the reward is immense. Second, *watfu
- ammanamak*. Forgiving those who have
- wronged us. Being wronged, our hearts
- surely feel hurt. Once, twice, what
- about three times and so on. It is
- certainly difficult for us to forgive
- the mistakes of others just as it is to
- give to those who deny us their
- kindness. Likewise, those who act
- unjustly toward us, who seize our
- rights, harm us, slander our reputation
- , talk about our flaws, mock us, and so
- on. How can we forgive such unjust
- people? This is also not an easy thing.
- In theory, it is very easy, as easy as
- turning the palm of our hand, but the
- practice is extraordinary. Because of
- how difficult it is for us to practice
- this, Allah will give us a reward as
- great as our effort. Then next, the
- third, *watasilu manqak*. And you
- reconnect with those who cut off
- kinship ties. Reconnecting these
- kinship ties is also not an easy matter
- . If there are no problems, we visit on
- Eid when, when what? When we have
- plenty of money, plenty of food, we
- visit, we see our relatives because
- there are no problems. And that is
- indeed a tradition. How enjoyable it is
- on Eid to visit here and there. But
- here, what is meant by*silaturahim*is
- reconnecting. The word*silah*means to
- connect. If you are connecting, it
- means something was broken. If nothing
- is broken, there is no term for
- connecting. So, the word*silah*or
- connecting is preceded by a break.
- Because it is broken, surely we must
- reconnect. There is no such thing as
- connecting without there being a break.
- So, connecting kinship ties,
- relationships of the same blood,
- siblings. If, for example, we have
- relatives, an older sibling, a younger
- sibling, and then they cut off their
- relationship with us, don't want to
- greet us, don't want to be kind to us,
- don't want to visit our house. Our
- siblings have severed the bond of
- brotherhood with us. Truly angry. Now,
- how do we reconnect the ties of
- brotherhood with someone who has
- already severed their ties with us?
- This is also not an easy thing. The
- term*silaturahim*that we often hear is
- not a problem. Like on Eid, we go here
- and there approaching Ramadan, just as
- we visit and pay respects, approaching
- relatives because there is no problem.
- We even go to visit them with joy and
- without any burden. But what about
- those who are hostile toward us, who
- hate us, and who have severed ties with
- us? Our hearts ache when our
- subordinates, younger siblings, nieces
- or nephews, relatives, or even those
- younger than us treat us poorly just
- because we are failures or simply
- incapable. How painful it is for our
- hearts. Just because we are the poorest
- among the family, due to our poverty.
- They are too proud to come to our house
- . They refuse to greet or speak to us.
- They even refuse to acknowledge us as
- kin. How do we reconnect a relationship
- that has been severed? This is very
- difficult for us. Because it is so
- difficult, Allah Ta'ala will admit us
- into Paradise. Allah promises us His
- Paradise. Conversely, those who sever
- family ties will be repaid by Allah
- with Hell, due to the magnitude of that
- sin. If we are not allowed to sever
- ties or be hostile toward others, then
- surely we must not be so with our own
- blood relatives, our siblings. Now,
- these are the three points that, if we
- truly carry them out and push ourselves
- to do them, Allah will account for us
- with 'hisaban yasira,' an easy
- reckoning, and Allah will admit us into
- His Paradise. But it must also be noted
- , many people talk about 'fadhilah'(
- virtues), about merits, and about
- rewards. The reward of dhikr, the
- reward of this, the reward of that, all
- of it remains grounded in obedience to
- Allah Ta'ala. What if one does not pray
- , does not fast, and commits many sins
- against Allah Ta'ala, but is diligent
- in visiting relatives and doing good
- deeds? We need to note that these good
- deeds stand upon a foundation. If the
- foundation is not there, then our
- structure will be vulnerable. So, do
- not let us be trapped by those immense
- virtues. Everything is true. But we
- must remember that those virtues are
- what? They stand upon a firm foundation
- , which is the pillars of Islam. We are
- obligated to carry out Allah's commands
- , and obligated to abstain from His
- prohibitions. So, if we carry out the
- command to pray, the command to fast,
- and conversely, we leave behind missing
- prayers, or skipping fasts, or not
- praying, then all righteous deeds—
- which constitute 'fadha'il al-a'mal'(
- virtues of deeds)—stand upon those
- foundations that we commonly know as
- the pillars of Islam. So, they cannot
- be separated. If we are good to others
- and good to our relatives, we must
- surely also maintain a good
- relationship with Allah Subhanahu wa
- Ta'ala. Then next, hadith number 491.
- Narrated from the Messenger of Allah,
- may Allah bless him and grant him peace
- : "Whoever possesses these three
- qualities will have his sins forgiven
- and his faith perfected." There are
- three more points that, if all three
- exist within a Muslim, he will
- certainly attain reward and his faith
- will be perfected. The first is '
- khuluqun ya'ishu bihi fin-nas'. 'Khuluq
- ' means character/morality. Just as the
- Prophet, Allah says—Allah praises our
- Prophet in the Qur'an. "And indeed, you
- are of a great moral character." Well,
- this character, it shows the softness
- of one's heart. Whether a person's
- heart is good or not is seen in their
- attitude, in their actions. So if
- someone's actions are not good, are
- rude, arrogant, or refuse to greet
- others, and then they puff out their
- chest, that shows their heart is indeed
- like that. So if we want to gain
- rewards from Allah Ta'ala and this can
- fulfill the perfection of our faith. So
- khulu yaisu bihi finas. We must
- maintain our character in the midst of
- society. We do not live alone. We do
- not live just however we want. The
- important thing is ourselves. Without
- wanting to think about the suffering of
- others, without wanting to think that
- if we do wrong, surely others will
- experience something unpleasant. So
- social sensitivity, feelings, pity,
- politeness, and compassion must exist
- to show the softness of one's heart. If
- we have neighbors who are less
- fortunate, but we are never moved. Even
- though we see the daily life of our
- neighbors, our brothers living in
- suffering. But our hearts never melt,
- there is never any compassion. Even
- though Allah has given us an excess of
- wealth. And we also have a position.
- What is so hard about helping our
- brothers find work, providing solutions
- , or helping them with material things
- and so on. This is part of akhlaqul
- karimah. Likewise, when we are living
- as neighbors. Neighbors have rights,
- relatives have rights, everyone has
- rights. Now, have we given them their
- rights and performed our duties as good
- Muslims? Or are we indifferent, not
- caring about the condition of others,
- our neighbors, or relatives who need
- our help. So, all of this, we live well
- in families, in communities, as a
- nation, and a state, we must have
- ethics. Prioritize the interests of
- others, prioritize the interests of the
- nation and state. Indeed, we live for
- that, to do good, to serve Allah and
- His Messenger. Serving goodness,
- serving the nation and state. Then the
- second, wawarun yahjizuhu maharimillahi
- taala. And if we want to gain
- perfection of faith, we must have the
- trait of wara '. Wara' is being careful
- . Many people in the past, Betawi
- people used to say wara 'is' apik '.
- Apik is clean. Apik is not messy. It
- doesn't mean just in things like being
- fastidious, for example. That is a
- matter of personal matters. But what is
- called wara' is 'apik', not being
- careless. Be careful not to consume
- anything haram. Not just what is haram,
- even what is doubtful (syubhat), we
- leave behind. Wara 'is being careful
- even with what is halal that we earn
- with our own sweat, we remain careful.
- What goes into our pockets, what goes
- into our stomachs, what goes into the
- stomachs and mouths of our children and
- wives, we must be careful. Do not let
- any food or drink sourced from haram
- wealth, or syubhat wealth, enter our
- stomachs or the stomachs of our
- children and wives. The same applies to
- positions and professions. A pious
- person would certainly be reluctant to
- accept a position. Because a position,
- in the end, brings*nadamatun wa
- khasarah*, regret and loss. Especially
- if we hold a position but do not carry
- out our duties properly. Moreover, if
- the position we hold was obtained
- through dishonest or forbidden means,
- that is surely far from being pious (*
- wara*). Even if obtained through lawful
- means, we must still carefully perform
- our duties as best as we can. So, *wara
- *means being careful and meticulous,
- not just with food and drink, but also
- with clothing. Housing, positions,
- professions, and so on—there must
- always be caution. If we obtain
- something, be it material goods or work
- , in the most careful way possible, we
- will certainly carry out our duties as
- officials with great care. We will not
- be reckless; we will not abuse our
- power for the benefit of a group,
- ourselves, our families, or others.
- Thus, this*wara*will*yahjiz an
- maharimillah*. It can prevent someone
- from doing things that are forbidden by
- Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. So, be
- meticulous; you don’t have to fall
- into an impure place or do what is
- forbidden. One shouldn't even want to
- get close to it. There is no need to
- dive into forbidden things. One
- shouldn't even want to be near them.
- Because there is a fear that one might
- also fall into doing things prohibited
- by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Then the
- third, *wa hilmun yarudduhu an jahlil
- jahil*. And*hilim*(forbearance). What
- kind of trait can*hilim*be called?
- Forgiving, or very courteous, very
- soft-hearted. Courteous means gentle,
- yielding, and wise. *Yarudduhu an
- jahlil jahil*. So, the ignorance and
- evil of the ignorant can be anticipated
- with the trait of*al-hilim*. *Hilim*is
- not just being patient, not just being
- good, not just being wise. But it is
- more than all of that. That is why
- Allah has the trait of*Sabur*. Allah is
- the One who is Most Patient. But Allah
- also has the trait of*Al-Halim*. The
- One who is very possessing the trait of
- *Halim*. So, this is above patience. If
- patience is not retaliating. Patience
- is us bearing the burden, enduring the
- suffering. If someone hurts us, we do
- not retaliate; we are patient, we
- remain silent. But*hilim*is more than
- that. We are not hurt just once or
- twice, but tens, hundreds, even
- thousands of times, and yet we will not
- change. We remain good people. We even
- repay the evil and bad deeds of others
- with kindness. This is not something
- easy; it is extremely difficult. Forget
- *hilim*. Even patience is not something
- easy; it is very bitter. That is why it
- is said in an Arabic proverb, *as-sabru
- ka-sibr*. Patience is like*jadam*(aloe)
- . The writing is the same, *sabrun*and*
- sibrun*; the letters are the same, the
- writing is the same, only the meaning
- is different. So, *as-sabru*is patience
- , while*as-sibr*is*jadam*. Now, this*
- jadam*is a medicine, *murrun fi
- mazaqati*(bitter in taste). Yes. You
- know, if it’s in our herbal plants.
- There are leaves, stems, or seeds that
- are extremely, extremely bitter. The
- bitterness, when we drink it, doesn't
- go away for hours. That is roughly what
- is called "jadam"(aloe bitter). There
- used to be plenty of jadam, but
- nowadays it is a bit rare. Murrun
- fiqati is very bitter on our tongue,
- which is what we call patience. But
- lakin awaqib ahla minal asal (the
- consequences are sweeter than honey).
- After we force ourselves to swallow
- such bitter jadam, it turns out to be
- sweeter than honey. Because that jadam
- can increase our stamina. It can erode
- our cholesterol, our bad fats, and even
- diabetes can be cured by what is known
- as asiber jadam. Once we are cured of
- diabetes, and after our cholesterol and
- uric acid levels drop and our stamina
- improves, of course, we will feel our
- bodies are prime, very healthy, and
- relaxed. Now, that is what is called
- hilm (forbearance). So, how difficult
- it is for us to practice al-hilm. So,
- it does not change at all. No matter
- what is done to it. No matter how
- people behave badly toward us, being
- hurt for decades, it will never change.
- That is Allah Ta'ala who possesses the
- quality of Al-Halim, the Most
- Forbearing. Now, we too, even though it
- is very difficult for us, we must still
- try to practice this quality of Al-Hilm
- , even if it requires a long process,
- perhaps it is difficult for us to
- attain, but at least we have tried.
- Next is the 492nd hadith. Ruya
- rasulillahi shallallahu alaihi wasallam
- . Salatun man kunna fihi adallahullahu
- tahta arshihi. There are three points
- that, if all three are present in a
- person, Allah will shade us on the Day
- of Judgment. Yauma la zilla illau (The
- day there is no shade but His). Where
- there is no protection. No place to
- take shelter, no place to take cover,
- except for the protection of Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. All of this, from
- the first one until this third hadith,
- is about fighting the ego. This is also
- not an easy thing. If it were easy,
- many people would practice it. The
- first is isbaghul wudu alal makarih.
- Perfecting the ablution (wudu) during
- cold times. Now, especially when we
- enter the rainy season, the air is
- colder than usual. Or when we are in
- the highlands in West Java where the
- temperature is indeed lower, meaning it
- is colder. If, for example, the
- temperature is 23 or 24 degrees, it is
- already quite cold. Especially below 20
- , 18 is even colder. At times like this
- , in the biting cold, we force
- ourselves to perfect our wudu, not just
- doing it half-heartedly. Usually, we
- wash three times, three times,
- perfectly. So, in times or places that
- are cold or during the cold season, we
- still perfect it just as we do at other
- times. So, forcing ourselves, which is
- actually hard, but it also does not
- endanger us. If it endangers us, it is
- indeed forbidden. So as long as it is
- not dangerous, and it is usually not
- dangerous, we live in Jakarta, taking a
- morning bath before dawn is normal.
- Take right now, when we are in West
- Java in the highlands of Bandung, Garut
- , Ciamis and so on, the temperature is
- lower than here. The cold is even more
- piercing. If we were to bathe at that
- time, even if it's cold, we force
- ourselves, but afterwards it feels warm
- , afterwards we feel refreshed. It is
- the same when we perfect our ablution
- during such cold times. We force
- ourselves to fight our ego, if we
- follow our ego, we wouldn't want to. If
- we follow our ego, it’s more
- comfortable to sleep. But we force
- ourselves, so we fight the ego. So,
- fighting the ego is not something easy.
- Then second, those who will receive
- protection from Allah Ta'ala. Wal
- mashyu ilal masajidi fid-dulam. Walking
- to the mosques in the darkness. If
- right now, I think in Indonesia,
- specifically in Jakarta, I don't think
- we have any difficulty going to the
- mosque as long as we want to walk, the
- roads are paved or cemented. Then there
- are street lights here and there, there
- are no obstacles at all, it's not dark.
- Then the paths are not dangerous either
- . Now, what about the companions of the
- Prophet or the people of the past when
- there was no electricity, no asphalt,
- no cement, no paved roads leading to
- the mosque for 100m, 200m, 500m, that
- was not an easy thing either. So for us
- now, there is almost no burden as long
- as we are willing to take steps to the
- mosque, all the conveniences are there.
- Then the third, wa it'amul ja'. Feeding
- those who are hungry. This if we do
- these three things, God willing, we
- will receive protection from Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Now, this third
- one, it'amul ja 'means feeding the
- hungry. This is a sign that it is not
- just about devotional worship. We go to
- the mosque, we fast, we pray, but there
- is also social work. We do good to
- others, pay attention to the suffering
- of others, lighten the burdens of
- others, that is no less rewarding. And
- this cannot be separated, the
- relationship with Allah and the
- relationship with fellow humans. If our
- relationship with Allah is good, it
- certainly cannot be detached. Our good
- relationship with Allah's creations,
- with Allah's servants, must also be
- good. It's not just with fellow Muslims
- ; even towards non-Muslims, we are
- still commanded to do good. If there is
- a non-Muslim who has a different creed
- from us, who is in suffering, or hit by
- a disaster, then it is fine. Helping
- humanity is for anyone at all. Even
- including animals as well. If there is
- an animal that is suffering, sick, or
- starving and so on, if we provide food
- or help that animal, we will also
- receive a reward from Allah Subhanahu
- wa Ta'ala. We have often heard the
- story of a prostitute from the Children
- of Israel. We know that a prostitute
- was not a person who believed in Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, But there is still
- compassion in them. Their heart is
- still soft, still tender towards a dog
- that is thirsty. The dog is licking,
- what is it? Sticking out its tongue
- because it is thirsty, licking the
- stones. This woman sees a dog that is
- thirsty, she cannot bear it. Finally,
- she takes some water, sacrificing her
- shoe or sandal or sock to fetch the
- water. She has to go down then gives
- the water to the thirsty dog. Just
- because of having mercy, having
- compassion, and having concern for one
- of Allah Taala's creatures in need of
- help. Because of that, Allah opens up
- guidance, opens their inner eye, gives
- them signs, then they recite the
- shahada, believe in Allah Taala, and
- then enter Allah Taala’s paradise.
- And there are many more stories like
- this. Just because of doing good,
- having mercy, having a soft heart that
- cannot bear to see the suffering of
- others. For that reason alone, many
- non-believers find the door to
- repentance. Allah opens the door of
- repentance for them so they repent and
- recite the shahada. So, everything
- cannot be separated from our
- relationship with fellow creatures of
- Allah Taala, including animals.
- Conversely, if there is a devout person
- , someone who often fasts, prays
- optional prayers, memorizes the Quran,
- stays up at night, and so on, but there
- is no mercy in their heart, no
- compassion, no worry, no care, then it
- is not impossible that Allah rejects
- their deeds. Because Allah does not
- need their deeds. Now, therefore, let
- us give attention to fellow creatures
- of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Provide
- help so that we have empathy. Now, God
- willing, because this empathy stems
- from the attributes of Allah. We know
- the attributes of Allah, we read them
- every moment. At least 17 times we read
- Al-Fatihah starting with
- bismillahirrahmanirrahim. That is the
- attribute of Allah Taala, ar-Rahman
- ar-Rahim, the Most Gracious, the Most
- Merciful. If we return to ourselves,
- this trait of compassion shows a soft
- heart, a good heart. Only we do not
- attribute this heart matter to Allah.
- If we attribute this trait to ourselves
- , the trait of mercy, it stems from the
- softness of a person's heart. Then it
- is proven by our attitudes and actions.
- Supporting others, visiting those who
- are less fortunate. We have care for
- them, we pour our attention onto them.
- God willing, as long as we have
- attention, we have true mercy that is
- not limited by ulterior motives, but is
- truly for the sake of Allah Taala.
- Having no agenda, having no interests.
- God willing, the trait of mercy within
- us will lead us to the paradise of
- Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Listeners of
- Radio Silaturahim, those are some of
- the hadiths we discussed this afternoon

- can send your questions directly to the
- number 0811999720. Brothers and sisters
- are welcome to ask questions directly
- with Ustaz Ahmad Zaki on the Tausiah
- Siang program. Alright, Ustaz. In this
- afternoon, there is already a question
- that has come in, Ustaz. Shall we read
- it, Ustaz, right away? Alright, this is
- the first question from SMS. It comes
- from a servant of Allah, Ustaz, in
- Tangerang. Assalamu'alaikum
- warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Ustaz.
- Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullah.
- Ustaz Ahmad Zaki, may you be blessed by
- Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Ustaz, we as
- Muslims must and are obligated to
- defend our religion if there are those
- who have evil intentions and so on,
- Ustaz. Yes. Now, in Surah As-Saff verse
- 14, the meaning states, "O you who have
- believed, be supporters of Allah." Now,
- it is clear there, Ustaz, the word
- Ansarullah, or supporters of Allah's
- religion. Now, why in this day and age
- is there an Islamic organization that
- should be defending or helping Allah's
- religion, but instead, they ban the
- study groups of some ustaz in Indonesia
- ? Is there a story in the history of
- the Prophet or the companions regarding
- people like that, Ustaz? What prayer?
- What prayer can we offer for this
- country of Indonesia, Ustaz? So that it
- may be just and prosperous. Thank you,
- Ustaz. May God reward you with goodness
- .
- A'udzubillahi minash-shaytanir-rajim.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Allahumma
- alhimna rushdana wa'allimna ma
- yanfa'una wazidna' ilma. In answering
- that question. Regarding an
- organization that might have the same
- name as what is mentioned in the Quran.
- The Quran, yes, tells us, Allah Ta'ala
- tells us how Prophet Isa alaihissalatu
- wassalam when under pressure, many of
- those closest to him then turned away
- until the Prophet Isa said, as Allah
- relates, "Man ansori ilallah?" Who are
- my helpers, my assistants in defending
- the religion of Allah who want to
- accompany me in fighting for the truth?
- Qalal hawariyun. Then the Hawariyun,
- this is a term for the loyal followers
- of the Prophet Isa, the disciples. If
- in the Prophet's time, it's the same as
- the companions. So, the Hawariyun said,
- "Nahnu ansarullah." We are the helpers
- of Allah. helpers, defenders of Allah's
- religion, upholders of the truth. So,
- life is indeed inseparable from what we
- call trials. We follow a religion, we
- have faith, that is not merely accepted
- by Allah. We claim, "ana muslim," I am
- a Muslim, I have faith. It is not
- enough if we just claim to be believers
- . Then just merely performing prayer,
- merely performing fasting. I pray, I
- fast, there are no challenges, no
- obstacles. I pray everything is just
- easily accessible. Likewise, fasting is
- easily accessible. Going to the mosque,
- praying in congregation is also easy.
- Even holding religious activities is
- easy. We have felt this from the past
- until now. But lately, we do feel that
- because of the political climate we are
- experiencing, it has made our comfort a
- little bit disturbed. This is a test
- for us. With these tests, it will be
- proven, it will be seen who we truly
- are. Who is so-and-so, who is person A,
- who is person B? That will be clearly
- seen through these trials. Everything
- requires testing. If we have a valuable
- item, let's say pure gold, or gemstones
- , expensive decorative stones worth
- millions of dollars, certainly, this
- must be tested first. Genuine or not.
- Well, there are many ways to test to
- determine if it is authentic or not.
- Likewise with our faith. Are we truly
- faithful to Allah? Are we seriously
- practicing Islam or not? Or is Islam
- just a brand we use, just a label?
- Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'an, "
- Ahasibannasu ay yutraku ay yaqulu
- amanna wahum la yuftanun." Do we all
- think it is enough to claim we are
- believers, that I am Muslim, but we
- have never been tested in our faith, in
- our religion? "Walaqad fatanna
- alladhina min qablihim." Yet, people
- before us were tested by Allah; no need
- to look too far, look at the time of
- the companions. When the Prophet
- preached, how his companions received
- embargoes, attacks, and insults. There
- were even many wars that occurred
- during the time of Prophet Muhammad,
- peace be upon him. They performed jihad
- . Through these trials, we know how the
- hairdresser for Pharaoh's daughter,
- Masyitah, had to face the dictatorship
- of Pharaoh. Just because at the time
- Masyitah, the hairdresser for Pharaoh's
- child, was combing Pharaoh's child's
- hair. Then the comb fell. After it fell
- , she picked up the comb but said "
- Bismillah." In the name of Allah. Then
- Pharaoh's daughter was shocked when
- Masyitah said "Bismillah." Then he
- asked Masyitah, "Is there any God other
- than my father?" Then Masyitah replied,
- "Yes, God created the universe,
- including the God who created your
- father." The child immediately reported
- this to his father, Pharaoh. Then
- eventually Pharaoh interrogated her and
- the final consequence was that Masyitah
- had to be willing to enter a large
- cauldron filled with boiling oil. That
- is a test of faith. We have never
- reached that point. How about our
- brothers and sisters in Palestine
- facing the Zionists? How about our
- brothers and sisters in Syria, Iraq,
- and Afghanistan who for decades have
- felt massacres here and there? Even in
- the region, there is ISIS; it is not
- enough with attacks from the outside,
- but from within, there is also what is
- called ISIS and so on. It has become
- the will of Allah Ta'ala. We must live
- through this life. What we feel, test
- after test, trial after trial, slander,
- accusations, terror, and so on will
- eventually be clearly seen. Wa la
- ya'lamannallahu ladzina shadaqu. With
- these trials, it becomes a reality. Who
- is truly sincere? Truly believing and
- practicing Islam. Wa la ya'lamannal
- kadzibin. And it will become a reality
- who has actually lied. Islam is only as
- a brand. Islamic organizations are only
- a vehicle to achieve interests. All of
- this will be proven and it is already
- being proven one by one. Now, therefore
- , we all must prepare and be
- broad-minded. Whatever trials we face,
- we must continue to hold onto this
- religion. And indeed holding the
- religion in the end times, says the
- Prophet, is like holding a burning coal
- . Like someone holding a burning coal.
- If we release our grip on this coal, it
- will surely die out. But if we hold it,
- our hands will burn. Now, my message is
- , maintain unity. Let us not bring up
- issues of differences again.
- Differences will never end. These
- differences are also a test, with
- differences in schools of thought,
- Islamic organizations, party
- differences, and differences in views.
- All of this is a test where some get
- rewards, and some get sins from this
- trial. And finally, the issue of
- prayers that we must offer to Allah
- Ta'ala for this nation and country. Now
- , I take it from the hadith of Prophet
- Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- that we often hear the Messenger of
- Allah teaching us. Now, among these are
- what are read in sermons. Many
- preachers and scholars in study
- assemblies end their sessions or
- sermons with "Allahumma aizzal islama
- wal muslimin." Now, please repeat this,
- no need for long ones, that is enough.
- "Allahumma aizzal islama wal muslimin,
- wa adzillish-shirka wal musyrikin, wa
- dammir a'daaka a'daaddin." Then "
- Allahumma aslih man fi salahihim
- salahul muslimin, wa ahlif man fi
- halakihim salahul muslimin." No need
- for the Arabic wording, just use the
- Indonesian translation. Let us repeat
- it. O Allah, glorify the Muslims. Then
- "Allahumma la taj'al mushibatana fi
- dinina." O Allah, do not make this
- calamity in our religion that causes us
- to abandon Your religion. That which
- makes us apostatize and causes us to
- sin. Even though trials must exist, it
- is fine to pray for our trials to be
- lightened. Wa la taj’ali ad-dunya
- akbara hammina wa la mablagha ‘ilmina
- . O Allah, do not make this world our
- ultimate goal. Because of the world,
- because of wealth, or just for a
- position. I have to apostatize, I have
- to be hostile toward Islam. I have to
- cooperate with oppressive people. I
- have to violate Your religion, O Allah.
- Just because of targets, interests, or
- personal goals. Wa la tusallit ‘
- alayna bidhunubina man la yakhafuka wa
- la yarhamuna. And do not let those who
- have no mercy for us and no fear of You
- rule over us, O Allah. Now, these are
- prayers taught by the Prophet, peace be
- upon him, and there are many others,
- including the prayer against the
- oppressors. O Allah, occupy the
- oppressors with one another. Let their
- evil befall them as well. A weapon that
- backfires, a boomerang for them. So,
- among the wicked, they end up
- inflicting their evil upon each other.
- The evil returns to them. Perhaps that
- is what we can make a prayer we repeat
- every day. Now, God willing, if all of
- us who are older and devoted to worship
- are no longer able to fight or struggle
- , it is enough to help with prayer. For
- the weak, please repeat this prayer,
- may it become a source of good. And
- Allah knows best.
- Masha Allah. Praise be to Allah, Lord
- of the worlds. Yes, thank you, Ustaz,
- for the answer. We must also always
- have faith in Allah SWT, Ustaz. And
- also always pray for the goodness of
- our country and for our scholars, Ustaz
- . Yes.
- Very well. Ustaz, let us continue to
- the next question from Mrs. Heni, Ustaz
- . Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy
- and blessings, Ustaz.
- And peace be upon you, and Allah's
- mercy.
- Ustaz Zaki, there are some people who
- fight, and when they shake hands, their
- hearts still hold a grudge. What should
- be done if people are like that, Ustaz?
- And is it better if we have a grudge
- and want to forgive, to only do it for
- show or just with words, Ustaz?
- Thank you.
- In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious
- , the Most Merciful. The matter of the
- heart returns to Allah Ta'ala. Allah is
- the All-Knowing. We only see the
- outward appearance. So, as human beings
- , we judge by what is apparent. We look
- , we decide, we provide commentary
- based on the reality. But Allah judges
- what is hidden. As for the heart, the
- unseen matter, that is Allah's business
- . So it is enough for us that what
- appears on the surface is good, so we
- say it is good. Even if it were
- hypocrisy, we do not need to know what
- is in someone's heart. That is strictly
- between that person and Allah Ta'ala.
- So, to stop all this, do not stop our
- own good deeds. Continue to do good,
- again and again. Because our good deeds
- will erode that grudge. someone will
- erode another person's anger. So it can
- break through and destroy such a thick
- wall. Many scholars and companions did
- the same thing. So, constantly doing
- good to those who hate us. Every time
- we meet, we greet them with
- assalamualaikum. Then shake hands
- continuously, which eventually makes
- that person ashamed of us. Especially
- when the person who opposes us, who
- holds a grudge against us, suddenly
- suffers a misfortune. Once we hear that
- the person is in trouble, we are the
- first to help. After they are admitted
- to the hospital, we are the first to
- visit them. That person might not be
- able to say anything anymore. All that
- might remain is tears. They are ashamed
- because of our kindness. Even though no
- one else has greeted them, no one else
- has helped them. We are the ones they
- oppose, the ones they hate the most.
- But we are the first to greet them, the
- first to show concern. Well, that is
- the way to cut off the evil of others.
- As for others remaining a certain way
- toward us, don't worry about it as long
- as we still need the reward from Allah
- Ta'ala and our good attitude. will turn
- a bad person into a good person. So, as
- long as we are still willing, as long
- as we are still strong, keep continuing
- our kindness. Even if we are not strong
- enough, what more can be said, the most
- important thing is that we have tried
- to do good but did not get a good
- response. So if we are not strong, we
- can stop there, and it is not a problem
- because we have repeatedly done good.
- But that is what is called the trait of
- hilm (forbearance). If the sibling of
- hilm is patience.
- Perhaps patience has its limits. Once,
- twice, three times, after that, we
- might no longer want to do good. Well,
- patience is not retaliating. But if it
- is hilm, it is not just not retaliating
- , not just enduring suffering, but we
- do good to people who have hurt and
- opposed us for tens, hundreds, or even
- years. That is what is difficult. That
- is why it was said earlier, tafu amman
- zalamak. We forgive those who are evil
- to us. Watahlum amman jahil. And you do
- good, remaining a good person to those
- who mistreat us. That is very heavy,
- but the reward is very great.
- Wallahu'alam (God knows best).
- Yes. Alright, Ustaz. This is about the
- issue of how to forgive. Is it enough
- to just shake hands or just say words,
- Ustaz? Alright,
- yes. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. There
- are two ways, yes. If we have indeed
- hurt that person, we should be
- broad-minded, be a gentleman, approach
- the person we hurt, and then ask for
- their blessing. If it truly has nothing
- to do with material things. But if it
- involves material things where we took
- someone else's rights, we must return
- them. If we have indeed tarnished
- someone's reputation, we must restore
- it, fix the name, and make their
- reputation good again. Well, suppose a
- public official does that and ends up
- speaking to the media, if they want to
- do the right thing, they should
- apologize and speak to the media again.
- They have to be a gentleman. Right now,
- I think there is a lot of war of
- opinion going on.
- And so on, they are each using the
- media. Therefore, since it was in the
- media, the apology should also be in
- the media. Yes.
- Although it’s fine without the media,
- for me, since someone’s name has been
- tarnished, you must restore their good
- name. Because a good name is a life
- asset. People feel more hurt when their
- reputation is tarnished than when their
- wealth is taken. If wealth is taken, we
- can earn it again. But when our name is
- smeared, when our name is dragged
- through the mud, that person must
- announce, "I have made a mistake, I
- have accused, and I even fabricated
- crimes to destroy someone's reputation.
- " That was my mistake. So there must be
- a statement, whether written or in the
- media. God knows best.
- Yes. Alright, Ustaz. We will read this,
- Ustaz. This is the final question,
- Ustaz. This is from a servant of God,
- Ustaz, via SMS, asking, "Ustaz, I am a
- younger sibling whose older sibling is
- having trouble with their family.""How,
- Ustaz, can I reunite them so they don't
- break their family ties?"
- Yes, thank you.
- In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious
- , the Most Merciful. This is certainly
- not an easy thing for us to do. It is
- not as easy as flipping the palm of
- your hand. Of course, this requires
- hard work, not just effort, but also
- patience, trust in God, and prayer. And
- we also need time because as we try
- step by step, it takes a fairly long
- time. Because this problem did not
- happen spontaneously. There is a chain
- of events that led to it becoming this
- bad. Since the chain is so long and the
- time passed has been quite long, the
- resolution also needs time and patience
- . Now, besides us using effective
- methods, I think the person asking this
- knows better what the family situation
- is like and their characters. Try a
- specific approach, but that is not the
- only thing. Because an approach is
- merely a method. Everything returns to
- Allah Ta'ala. The one who can soften a
- person's heart is Allah Ta'ala. Allah
- Ta'ala is the Turner of Hearts, the one
- who can turn a person's heart. So there
- must be two directions. Towards the
- siblings, there are steps we must take,
- which will be according to their
- character and the specific problem; I
- cannot answer that specifically. Then,
- secondly, do not forget that a person's
- heart is in the hands of Allah Ta'ala.
- Always ask Allah Ta'ala. O Turner of
- hearts. O Allah, You who can turn a
- person's heart. O soften their hearts.
- O Allah, soften their hearts. O Allah,
- soften their hearts. Soften and mellow
- their hearts, and so on. Those are
- examples of prayers. So, it doesn't
- have to be in Arabic, you can use
- Indonesian. Besides praying, we can
- also add some supplications or
- recitations. It doesn't have to be
- difficult. Like Al-Fatihah. We recite
- Al-Fatihah with the intention that
- Allah softens their hearts. May Allah
- ease our steps, grant us the ability to
- speak before them, and so forth.
- Besides prayer, there are incantations,
- like Quranic verses we recite, such as
- "Rabbi adkhilni mudkhala sidqin..." and
- so on. I believe there are still many
- other recitations we can use when
- dealing with those above us. Hopefully,
- our prayers, our recitations, our
- tawassul through righteous deeds and
- Quranic verses will ease our affairs,
- and God willing, sooner or later, our
- goals will be achieved and Allah will
- make everything easy. Dear listeners
- and viewers of TV Rasil who are blessed
- by Allah. Those are some of the
- questions and topics we could discuss
- this afternoon. May it be beneficial
- for us all. Amin ya rabbal alamin. "In
- uridu illal islah..." I only desire
- reform, and my success is only by Allah
- ; upon Him I rely, and to Him I return.
- Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your
- praise; I bear witness that there is no
- god but You, I seek Your forgiveness
- and repent to You. May Allah send
- blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad,
- his family, and his companions. And all
- praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the
- worlds. Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh. Alright, we say jazakullah
- khair to Ustaz Ahmad Zaki for joining

- kaffaratul majelis prayer.
- Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu
- alla ilaha illa anta astagfiruka wa
- atubu ilaik. Taufik wal hidayah.
- Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi
