- And We have enjoined upon man, to his
- parents, good treatment. His mother
- carried him with hardship and gave
- birth to him with hardship, and his
- gestation and weaning is thirty months.
- Until, when he reaches his maturity and
- reaches [the age of] forty years. "
- Enable me to be grateful for Your favor
- which You have bestowed upon me and
- upon my parents and to work
- righteousness of your approval and make
- righteous for me my offspring. Indeed,
- I have repented to You, and indeed, I
- am of the Muslims." We strongly advise
- and remind every human being to treat
- their parents with full affection and
- kindness. Especially their mother, who
- carried them with great difficulty and
- gave birth with great struggle.
- Likewise, sir, breastfeeding is also
- done with difficulty. It is not easy
- for a mother to accompany her child
- during those early moments. Including
- the time of her pregnancy and the
- period of breastfeeding, which lasts
- for 30 months. Until when the child
- grows up under the care of their
- parents and reaches the age of 40. If
- they were once children, they now
- become parents themselves. Being a
- parent means naturally stepping into
- the role of their own father and mother
- . Allah teaches them a prayer. "O my
- Lord, help me to always be grateful for
- the blessings You have bestowed upon me
- , as well as upon my parents.""So that
- I may perform righteous deeds that You
- approve of, and make my offspring
- righteous for me.""I declare my
- repentance to You, and I declare myself
- someone who fully submits to You in all
- my affairs." My affairs, my family, my
- children, and my entire life. This
- prayer actually explains to us how in
- everything we must first return to
- Allah. And when we begin educating our
- children, we must start with ourselves.
- As Allah reminds us, "O you who have
- believed, protect yourselves and your
- families.""O you who believe, guard and
- protect yourselves and your families
- from the torment of Hellfire." Yeah.
