Peace be upon 1:11 you. 1:11 >> And peace be upon you, and the mercy 1:12 and blessings of Allah. Ustaz. Yes, 1:14 praise be to Allah. 1:15 >> Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 1:17 >> Brothers and sisters blessed by Allah 1:19 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, wherever you are. 1:24 We live in an age where artificial 1:27 intelligence, known as AI, is 1:29 developing so rapidly. Today, we can 1:34 ask AI about the interpretation of the 1:37 Quran, hadiths, laws of worship, and 1:40 even matters of faith and daily life. 1:44 The answers can even arrive in a matter 1:46 of seconds. Neatly arranged and 1:49 sounding very convincing. However, an 1:52 important question arises for us all. 1:55 Does the ease of obtaining answers 1:57 about religion, Mean that our religious 1:59 understanding is also becoming more 2:01 accurate? Then what if AI provides an 2:05 incorrect explanation, but we accept it 2:08 as the truth? Will people one day trust 2:12 artificial intelligence more than the 2:14 scholars and teachers who have been 2:15 guiding the ummah all this time? And 2:19 more fundamentally, can technology help 2:22 us get closer to Allah, or does it 2:24 actually make us feel that knowing 2:26 about religion is enough without truly 2:29 practicing it? That is what will be our 2:32 collective reflection. Therefore, to 2:36 discuss this theme of the influence of 2:39 AI on our religious life in the future, 2:41 Ustaz Tengku Amri is here with us. 2:45 Alright, Ustaz. How are you, Ustaz? 2:46 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 2:48 Thank you. Praise be to Allah. Praise 2:50 be to Allah. I would like to greet the 2:52 Rasil listeners first. I say peace be 2:54 upon you, and the mercy and blessings 2:55 of Allah. How are you, Rasil listeners 2:57 throughout Indonesia and also outside 2:59 Indonesia who may be following us. I am 3:03 very happy, today, that Allah has 3:06 allowed me to be here, to visit 3:09 directly at Radio Rasil, in the Rasil 3:13 Radio studio, and this is a pleasant 3:17 thing for us to be able to talk, and 3:21 share with all of our listeners. Praise 3:25 be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 3:27 >> Alright, what is the occasion, Ustaz? 3:30 >> Yes, praise be to Allah, we came for 3:33 our "Quran N" program, which is about 3:36 tadabbur (contemplating) the Quran. We 3:40 held a one-night tadabbur Quran program 3:43 in Tambun, Bekasi. Then there was also 3:46 a mosque-related sharing session. So we 3:48 shared our experiences in managing 3:50 mosques, and how to make mosques 3:53 prosper. 3:53 >> Yes. Uh, we in Aceh, uh, have some 3:56 things that we might be able to share 3:59 together, yes. So, it is the same with 4:02 other mosque administrators in several 4:05 mosques in Indonesia. So, we created 4:08 mosque-related sharing sessions 4:10 initiated by the Marbot application, 4:12 and thank God, 4:14 >> this is the third one, God willing, on 4:17 Sunday at the Nur Nurstiasih Mosque in 4:19 Tambun, 4:21 >> uh, Bekasi. Well, likewise, there are 4:25 several other da'wah safari agendas in 4:27 Jakarta that we will attend, God 4:30 willing, for about 3 or 4 days. 4:33 >> You're busy, Ustaz? Yes, 4:34 >> thank God. 4:36 >> Alright. Uh. 4:37 >> Now, Ustaz, when, uh, now someone can 4:41 ask about religion to AI, as 4:43 >> I 4:44 >> mentioned at the beginning of our 4:48 meeting this evening, 4:50 >> yes. People, when asking AI, then get 4:54 answers in a matter of seconds. 4:57 >> In your opinion, Ustaz, is this a 4:59 convenience that we should be grateful 5:02 for, or is there a great danger that we 5:04 must start to be wary of? 5:06 >> Uh, right. Uh, we are in an era where 5:10 we know that technology continues to 5:12 develop. 5:14 >> Uh-huh. 5:14 >> And this AI, uh, is a medium, yes. Just 5:19 as we were once faced with the early 5:21 days of the internet, when we got a 5:24 wave of information that was very cheap 5:26 and easy through the internet. People 5:30 could access information from all over 5:32 the world through the internet. There 5:35 were concerns from us regarding the 5:39 references and also the accountability 5:42 of the information we got from the 5:45 internet. And of course, we would worry 5:49 about what would happen, and we have 5:51 lived, uh, for decades now in the 5:53 internet age. Now, we are currently in 5:56 the early days of the artificial 5:59 intelligence era. And as Muslims, we, 6:03 uh, deserve to discuss how, uh, our 6:05 future in practicing our religion, in 6:08 our studies, our understanding of 6:11 religion, and also how we apply our 6:13 religion daily with the existence of 6:16 this AI. Will this AI erode our 6:20 religious understanding, or will this 6:22 AI strengthen our religious 6:24 understanding? This is what we must 6:26 discuss. So, if asked, uh, will this be 6:30 something that is a blessing we are 6:32 grateful for with the existence of this 6:34 AI, or something that could be 6:36 dangerous? First, I would like to say 6:40 that just as the internet was once a 6:42 medium, then, uh, we must also 6:44 understand this AI. First, it is as a 6:47 medium. Now, the medium we mean here is 6:51 that, uh, with the presence of this AI 6:53 technology that we cannot deny in the 6:55 future. Uh-huh. 6:58 >> It is like our necessity to know how we 7:00 must take advantage of this AI and also 7:03 protect ourselves and the Ummah from, 7:06 uh, things that could damage their 7:08 religion from, uh, the advancement of 7:10 this AI technology. So, what I first 7:14 want to say is that with the presence 7:17 of this artificial intelligence 7:20 technology, uh, we may feel anxious 7:23 about this. And also, experts in the 7:26 West have started discussing the 7:28 existence of*God in the machine*, where 7:31 religious people might eventually feel 7:33 they no longer need religious 7:35 organizations, no longer need religious 7:37 institutions, and no longer need the 7:39 profiles of traditional scholars 7:41 because they think, well, AI already 7:44 exists. Now, furthermore, this AI can 7:47 also be accessed easily. So, this could 7:50 be a threat, right? From one 7:52 perspective, this is a threat. 7:54 Therefore, we need to prepare the 7:56 community now on how to have literacy 7:58 regarding AI in their religious 8:00 practice. So, first, we must convey 8:03 what religion actually is. Yes, 8:06 >> what having faith actually means. Is 8:09 practicing religion just following a 8:11 religious organization? Is practicing 8:14 religion following an institution? Is 8:17 practicing religion just following 8:20 information or a form of media? 8:24 Practicing religion is much deeper than 8:26 that. Practicing religion is 8:28 surrendering ourselves to Allah 8:30 Subhanahu wa taala. Surrendering and 8:33 submitting in obedience to Allah 8:34 Subhanahu wa taala. And we perform all 8:37 the acts of worship that are commanded, 8:40 abandon all the prohibitions forbidden 8:43 by God, and carry out our life's 8:45 sacrifices for Allah Subhanahu wa taala 8:48 . So, practicing religion in Islam is 8:51 not just about gathering information, 8:53 listening to news, or reading a report, 8:55 it’s not that. Practicing our 8:58 religion means submitting ourselves and 9:00 obeying Allah Subhanahu wa taala, and 9:02 sacrificing our entire lives for the 9:04 sake of Allah Subhanahu wa taala. Now, 9:07 AI can help us. If we may say, it is a 9:13 beneficial tool that helps us reach 9:16 references, helps us reach trustworthy 9:19 information, and makes it easier for us 9:23 to understand our religion. Therefore, 9:29 scholars today are beginning to discuss 9:32 how AI can help us reach the references 9:36 of our religion. Because the religion 9:40 of Islam has references, as stated by 9:42 the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, 9:43 "taraktu fikum,""taraktu fikum 9:51 kitaballah wa sunnati," meaning I leave 9:54 you with two things that, if you hold 9:56 fast to them, you will never be led 9:59 astray. What are they? The Book of 10:01 Allah and 10:02 >> the Sunnah of the Messenger. And the 10:04 Sunnah of the Messenger is a basic 10:06 principle and an important foundation 10:09 in our religion. The religion of Islam 10:12 has references that cannot be abandoned 10:14 . We must hold fast to them: the Qur'an 10:16 and the Sunnah of the Prophet 10:17 sallallahu alaihi wasallam. 10:20 >> If there are young people today who, 10:22 when they access the Qur'an or the 10:24 Prophet's Sunnah through AI, believe 10:26 100%in the AI rather than the Qur'an 10:28 and Sunnah, then that is wrong. 10:30 >> Yeah. H 10:32 >> Yes, what can ensure that AI will 10:34 present the Qur'an, present the 10:37 interpretation of the Qur'an, present 10:39 the Prophet's Sunnah, and an authentic 10:42 understanding of the Sunnah—in this 10:45 case, what can guarantee that? Ah, 10:50 don't we know today that AI is created 10:52 by companies that are secular, and 10:55 those companies can program AI however 10:58 they want? So, in this regard, it is 11:04 also appropriate to feel suspicious or 11:07 worried if we entrust our religion to 11:11 AI technology, which is developed by 11:15 capitalists and is also secular. 11:20 Furthermore, these are companies that 11:22 can play a role, and they might even be 11:24 anti-religious in this regard. 11:28 Therefore, in this matter, we want to 11:31 address the public, the youth, Gen Z, 11:33 and everyone when dealing with 11:35 religious issues. Our religion is not 11:40 just a matter of information, not just 11:42 a matter of an institution, but this 11:45 religion is our total surrender to 11:48 Allah in all our life's obedience. From 11:52 the time we wake up until we sleep 11:54 again. So, for that reason, practicing 11:57 our religion is not enough with just AI 12:00 . AI only provides us with brief 12:03 information. Moreover, our religion has 12:06 references, and if we are to practice 12:08 it, our references must be clear. Those 12:11 are the Quran and the Sunnah of the 12:13 Prophet, peace be upon him, with which 12:15 we will never go astray. But if we 12:19 surrender ourselves to AI as our 12:21 reference, even if they call it " 12:24 Quranic AI" or there eventually becomes 12:27 a "Prophetic AI," 12:31 >> it will not guarantee our salvation if 12:34 there is a lot of human interference 12:36 within that AI, if it does not return 12:39 directly to the Quran and the Sunnah of 12:42 the Prophet. Thus, practicing religion 12:45 in Islam means having authentic and 12:47 clear references. That is the 12:49 importance of the Prophet's words, 12:51 peace be upon him, who said, "As long 12:53 as you hold fast to the Quran and 12:54 Sunnah, you will never go astray." 12:57 >> Now, this must be our important 12:58 guidance. Technology may continue to 13:01 develop, but we must not forget our 13:04 roots; our primary references are the 13:06 Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, 13:08 peace be upon him. There is a benefit 13:13 behind it, which is the ease with which 13:14 we can access Quranic verses and the 13:16 Sunnah of the Prophet. Go ahead. That 13:19 is a convenience. So, AI becomes a 13:23 means to make it easier for me to reach 13:26 the interpretations I want regarding 13:29 Quranic verses, understanding the Quran 13:32 , and AI makes it easier for me to 13:35 collect as many hadiths as possible on 13:38 a topic in Islamic studies and 13:40 intellectual matters; that is a 13:43 convenience. That is a good means, we 13:46 say. But it is inappropriate for us to 13:49 entrust all our religious matters 13:51 solely to an AI application or an AI 13:53 company. Even if it is highly advanced, 13:56 it is not appropriate. 13:58 >> Yes. 13:59 >> It does not align with the words of the 14:01 Prophet, peace be upon him, that we 14:02 will all not go astray if we hold fast 14:04 to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the 14:06 Prophet, peace be upon him. 14:08 >> Hm. Will this AI, then, displace the 14:12 role of the ulema, the role of the kiai 14:14 , and the role of the ustaz in society, 14:16 Ustaz? 14:19 >> If we are aware of how we practice our 14:21 faith in Islam, we know that the ulema 14:24 are the ahl al-dhikr, and we hold fast 14:26 to the Qur'an. "Fas'alu ahl al-dhikri 14:29 in kuntum la ta'lamun"(Ask the people 14:31 of the message if you do not know), 14:32 therefore, AI will not be able to 14:34 displace the role of the ulema. Why? 14:38 Islam and the Qur'an have already 14:39 explained that if we don't know, we 14:41 should ask the ahl al-dhikr. 14:43 >> Ahl al-dhikr are the ulema, people who 14:45 have knowledge in that field. Meanwhile 14:48 , this AI is not a scholar. Even though 14:51 it is a tool to help scholars find 14:53 information, just like our mobile 14:55 phones or the internet. The internet 14:59 makes it easier for us to reach a 15:01 reference. 15:03 >> Well, the role of the ulema remains. 15:04 The ulema are guides that we must 15:08 continue to use as an important 15:11 reference in matters of fatwa and in 15:14 how we carry out our daily religion. 15:17 This is what we must convey from the 15:20 beginning. Do not feel that with the 15:23 existence of sophisticated machines, 15:26 super-intelligent robots created by 15:29 humans, in our religious life, the role 15:31 of the ulema remains very important. 15:36 And I would also like to share the 15:38 hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon 15:40 him, where the Prophet tells us that " 15:42 idha hakama al-hakimu fajtahada 15:44 fa-asaba falahu ajran.""Wa hakama 15:48 al-hakimu fajtahada fa-akhta'a falahu 15:50 ajrun." The Prophet said that if 15:53 someone decides on a case and that 15:55 decision involves ijtihad (independent 15:58 reasoning), and through that ijtihad he 16:00 is correct, he gets two rewards. 16:02 >> Yeah. 16:02 >> Then, if he is wrong in this matter, he 16:05 gets one reward. 16:08 >> This means that Islam and the Prophet's 16:11 Sunnah teach us that when humans use 16:14 their logic and their spirit to perform 16:18 ijtihad, they receive a reward. Even if 16:23 they are wrong, they are still 16:24 appreciated and get a reward. This 16:27 means that in religious matters, humans 16:30 cannot entrust it to anything other 16:32 than humans, leaving it to machines and 16:34 letting the machines answer. It cannot 16:37 be done, why? The Prophet's Sunnah 16:40 teaches the role of humans, the role of 16:42 the ulema, in making decisions, even in 16:44 matters of our religion. With that, 16:47 humans continue to be valuable. But if 16:50 we make our religion such that it is 16:52 only answered by machines, then humans 16:54 will lose their value. 16:57 >> I think that this hadith of the Prophet 17:00 is an important hadith for us to 17:02 understand when we discuss our literacy 17:05 regarding the issue of AI. It shows how 17:08 much the Prophet appreciated the role 17:10 of the ulema who perform ijtihad. Even 17:12 if they are wrong, they get one reward. 17:14 >> Yeah. Yes, getting one reward means 17:18 that the ulema cannot be marginalized 17:21 in their role in making decisions 17:23 regarding our religion. 17:26 >> Well, it cannot be replaced by AI at 17:28 all. 17:29 >> Understood, Ustaz. Uh, Allah Subhanahu 17:32 wa ta'ala states in the Quran, Surah 17:33 Al-Isra verse 36, which translates to: 17:35 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 17:36 , the Most Merciful. And do not follow 17:39 that of which you have no knowledge. 17:41 Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the 17:44 heart—about all that will one be 17:46 questioned. What is the meaning of this 17:49 verse in correlation with our 17:50 discussion tonight, Ustaz? 17:51 >> Yes, that is, "in-na sam'a wal bashara 17:54 wal fu'ada" 17:56 >> all of those will be held accountable, 17:57 right? That is truly our hearing, our 18:00 minds, all of that will 18:02 >> will be asked for accountability by 18:03 Allah. It means that in practicing our 18:07 religion, we use all the potential we 18:09 possess, starting from the potential of 18:12 our sight, our hearing, our hearts, our 18:14 minds in understanding our religion; 18:17 that is a potential that must always be 18:19 used in understanding our religion. 18:23 >> So we cannot surrender this potential 18:26 to machines made by humans. Allah asks 18:29 for accountability from our minds, 18:31 right? 18:32 >> Our hearts. How our hearts face an 18:36 issue, face a problem, that cannot be 18:40 left to "just ask AI, let AI answer it. 18:44 " AI only provides information. AI 18:49 might make it easier for us to reach a 18:51 source or provide ideas that might be 18:54 possible, but all considerations return 18:56 to human reason. We are the ones who 19:00 consider, our hearts are the ones who 19:01 consider. Because why? Allah will ask 19:03 for accountability from our hearts, our 19:06 minds, our selves in making a decision 19:09 in life, especially in matters of our 19:12 religion. 19:13 >> Yes. 19:14 >> So, with this, Islam teaches that 19:16 humans will remain intact, will 19:18 continue to exist in an era where this 19:20 AI erodes humanity itself. Therefore, 19:24 humans who lack faith will have their 19:26 existence eroded. 19:27 >> Yes. 19:28 >> Their logic will be depleted. Meaning 19:30 they will be ignorant when facing, what 19:33 do you call it, robots. But in Islam, 19:36 it is not so. Human existence remains 19:39 valued. Just as the heart and mind will 19:42 always be asked for accountability by 19:44 Allah. That means we must continue to 19:46 use them as long as humans exist. 19:48 Therefore, this Islam will always be 19:50 valuable. Islam will always be needed. 19:53 >> Well, that's how it is. If we ask AI 19:56 about Fiqh laws, Halal and Haram, 19:59 worship, is that allowed, Ustaz? 20:02 >> We may ask, we ask merely to read and 20:05 to know, but not to make it the 20:08 decision-maker for our actions. 20:11 >> Yes. 20:12 >> Go ahead. But you must not make it our 20:16 basis for acting as long as there is no 20:20 authenticity that this is correct. 20:25 >> Is the reference provided to us correct 20:28 ? Yes. Yes. As long as it is not 20:32 verified, then AI's decision cannot be 20:35 our foundation in taking an action in 20:38 our religious law. In our religious law 20:41 . Except for things like the internet, 20:44 where fatwas or official websites from 20:46 fatwa councils are available, so we 20:48 open the internet and find official 20:50 websites that we know are legitimate. 20:54 >> That becomes our basis because it is 20:56 official from the scholars. For 21:01 instance, the Al-Azhar scholars might 21:03 have a special website, and perhaps one 21:06 day there will be an official 21:09 application released so that AI only 21:11 helps in tracking 21:15 >> yeah 21:16 >> opinions of the scholars that can be 21:18 held accountable. So, it only becomes a 21:22 means to reach that end. But we cannot 21:26 take ideas that are the results of 21:28 machine technology or machine 21:30 intelligence from it. And that is not 21:34 human opinion. 21:34 >> Yeah. 21:35 >> To be used as our standard. Ah, to be 21:37 used as a foundation in our actions 21:39 regarding our religion. If it is for 21:42 worldly matters, go ahead. 21:45 >> I want to build a house, I want to 21:46 start a farm, I want to do whatever. So 21:49 all those probabilities are generated 21:51 by AI. And then we make a decision; go 21:54 ahead for our worldly affairs. But this 21:57 is a matter of religion. Religion has a 21:58 chain of transmission (sanad) of 21:59 knowledge. 21:59 >> Yes. 22:00 >> That is why that chain of knowledge is 22:01 so important. Without the sanad, as the 22:03 saying goes, "If not for the sanad, 22:05 anyone would say whatever they want." 22:07 Without the chain of knowledge, anyone 22:10 could say anything about religious 22:12 issues. 22:12 >> Yeah. 22:13 >> So, we must preserve our religious 22:15 tradition. Likewise, our scholarly 22:18 tradition that has been inherited by 22:21 our ulama, of course, by adapting and 22:24 making this AI a means for that, not a 22:27 reference for that. That is different. 22:31 Make this AI a tool to facilitate our 22:34 understanding of our religion. Do not 22:38 make it a reference to replace the 22:40 sources of our scholars. Well, that’s 22:44 it. Alright, brothers and sisters. 22:47 Tonight, we are in dialogue with Ustaz 22:50 Tengku Amri, discussing AI and the 22:53 future of our religious practice. You 22:58 mentioned earlier that this AI is 23:02 created by people who are indeed not 23:06 Muslim, right? 23:08 >> Ye 23:10 >> people who might be described as 23:11 secular. In fact, there are some AI 23:15 tools that are indeed made by Zionists, 23:17 for example. 23:18 >> Yes. In this case, I feel as if Islam, 23:24 like...why are there no Islamic 23:28 scientists or scholars who create AI, 23:32 so that we could use that AI, as you 23:36 mentioned, to truly track the sanad or 23:40 take our faith to a better level? Why 23:44 are there no Muslims who create AI, 23:46 Ustaz? Why are there no scientists 23:49 among Muslims who start it from the 23:50 beginning? 23:52 >> We know that this AI technology was 23:55 first developed by them, by the 23:57 capitalist groups. 24:01 >> We say that the reason why creating 24:03 this AI program requires extraordinary 24:05 funds and very sophisticated technology 24:07 . This sophisticated technology is 24:10 owned by, well, those people, 24:12 >> non-Muslim people, we could say even 24:13 atheists, right. Then also to develop 24:17 one model, that also requires super 24:21 large funding, right. Well, this 24:25 technology and funding are owned by 24:27 those capitalist people. Now, and we 24:29 know that the Muslim community in terms 24:31 of technology and science is currently 24:33 lagging behind, not at the forefront. 24:36 So, this ultimately means that in all 24:38 things we are also left behind. We only 24:41 take the benefits, later the benefits. 24:45 Then what can serve the Quran and the 24:47 Prophet's sunnah is just like the 24:50 internet. The internet has helped us a 24:54 lot, helped us to spread knowledge 24:56 about the Quran, knowledge about the 24:58 Prophet's sunnah. Even the internet 25:01 helps us to learn the Quran and sunnah 25:03 remotely, right. But that remains just 25:06 as a means. So, we can understand in 25:09 this regard that we are very backward 25:13 in terms of technology and also in 25:15 terms of finances, in terms of 25:18 financing for that technology. 25:20 >> Left behind. 25:21 >> Very much left behind. For us to make 25:24 chips like the ones made by Nvidia, 25:28 that's not easy, not easy to create 25:32 storage either, or how those large data 25:37 banks require super energy. 25:40 >> Yes, and we have no capability in terms 25:43 of technology or financing either. 25:47 >> At most, the Muslim community can only 25:50 help provide land for those large 25:53 companies to create massive data, 25:57 massive databases that will later 26:00 become, what do you call it, what helps 26:03 AI to develop. Well, 26:06 >> and it all comes back to technology. 26:10 Technologically, and we admit it to 26:12 this day. 26:13 >> What is the reason we are left behind, 26:15 Ustaz, from those countries or those 26:18 institutions? We can see for ourselves 26:22 that science and scientists in our 26:25 country are very few. 26:28 >> Scientists, especially scientists who 26:31 are, well, if we talk about this, 26:33 scientists, experts in the field of 26:35 computer technology and others, 26:37 digitalization. Well, whereas in other 26:41 countries, how are they? They have 26:46 created a plan, an educational roadmap 26:48 from the very beginning. How they reach 26:53 a goal. Take China for example, 20 26:56 years ago China was a poor country, a 26:58 country we know how it was. But today, 27:01 China's technology exceeds America's, 27:04 right. China has prepared its education 27:08 since 30 or even 50 years ago. The 27:11 roadmap they created, they pursued 27:14 until the point where China is today. 27:18 So it is up to the Chinese whether they 27:21 are Hindu, Buddhist, or even atheist; 27:24 their nation has succeeded in reaching 27:26 very high technology today. Because 27:30 their education roadmap is very 27:32 well-directed. We look at our country, 27:35 Indonesia, as a mirror. In this case, 27:38 our own education roadmap has problems, 27:42 as we know that the curriculum keeps 27:45 changing, so our education has lacked a 27:48 clear roadmap for decades, for example, 27:51 so that 27:53 >> what is our achievement heading towards 27:55 ? Well, this is why we are falling 27:57 behind. We are not saying all Muslims, 28:00 but at least our country becomes a 28:02 reflection. If the government in our 28:06 country, which is the largest Muslim 28:09 nation in the world, had created a 28:13 clear education roadmap 20 or 30 years 28:17 ago, and it was consistently pursued in 28:20 education, then I think many of our 28:24 scientists would have emerged from our 28:28 country, and there would certainly be 28:31 many Muslims. And those who go abroad 28:35 would certainly return home. Why? To 28:37 help their own country. 28:40 >> Yes, the support from the government 28:42 for that is still lacking in this 28:43 regard. Now, this is what we might need 28:46 to improve for the coming generations. 28:49 We hope our government is able to 28:51 create a clear education roadmap, as 28:53 well as the goals of our education to 28:56 be achieved for the next 10 to 20 years 28:58 , so we don't fall behind in science 29:01 and technology compared to other 29:03 countries, even those that are 29:05 non-religious. In fact, we want this 29:10 country with the largest Muslim 29:13 population to be a strong nation that 29:16 has education that competes with other 29:20 countries. Yeah. 29:22 >> That's how it is. 29:22 >> Yes. We still even like to discuss or 29:26 debate about Khilafiyah issues, Ustaz, 29:28 right? 29:30 >> Issues of Bid'ah and such. Yes. Yes. 29:33 >> Even though the world is so advanced, 29:36 we still like to debate technical 29:39 matters where, actually, each differing 29:42 opinion has its own basis. The A side 29:46 has its own basis, the B side has its 29:48 own basis. But we like to clash these 29:51 things, forgetting that technology is 29:54 so advanced and how we could eventually 29:57 lead the world like during the Golden 30:00 Age of Islam, Ustaz. Yes. 30:04 >> The presence of trivial debates in our 30:06 lives is because of the loss of major 30:08 goals in our religious life. 30:11 >> Yeah. 30:12 >> In the agenda of our Ummah. If we had 30:15 an agreement on major goals that we 30:16 want to realize together, those trivial 30:18 debates would not exist. 30:20 >> Yes, 30:21 >> that is we still have plenty of time to 30:25 debate trivial matters. Why? Because we 30:28 are not worried about the major goals 30:30 that we must achieve together. 30:32 >> Yes. this. But when we have big common 30:36 goals that we want to achieve, we just 30:38 don't have enough time for that. We 30:41 don't have enough time to realize those 30:43 big things, so there is no time for 30:45 this. 30:48 >> Is that right? 30:51 >> Alright, brothers and sisters, we are 30:53 still in the program about the 30:55 influence of AI on our future religious 30:58 life. We will take a short break, and 31:03 please stay with us for this program. 31:17 Rasil TV 31:24 >> Listeners of Silaturahim Radio, may 31:26 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless you. We 31:29 return to the discussion of the Mimbar 31:32 Rasil program, which brings up the 31:34 theme of the influence of AI on our 31:36 future religious life. Brothers and 31:39 sisters, the presence of artificial 31:41 intelligence, or AI, is now bringing 31:43 major changes to human life. The 31:46 younger generation can utilize AI to 31:48 learn, complete work, and even find 31:50 answers to various religious questions. 31:54 However, there is an important question 31:56 we need to reflect on together. Are our 31:58 younger generations truly ready to face 32:01 this technological advancement? And how 32:05 can we ensure they are not only smart 32:07 at using AI, but also have firm faith, 32:10 critical thinking, and maintained 32:13 morals? Our resource person who has 32:16 been with us since earlier is Dr. 32:19 Tengku H. Amri Fatmi Anjis. He is a 32:23 young preacher and scholar from Aceh, a 32:25 doctoral graduate of Al-Azhar 32:27 University, Cairo, Egypt, with summa 32:29 laude honors in the field of aqidah 32:31 and philosophy. Yes, 32:34 >> Mashallah. And he has already shared 32:38 with us earlier about how we should 32:41 approach AI, and whether AI can later 32:44 become our reference in practicing 32:47 religion. Now, my next question, Tengku 32:52 , what needs to be prepared by the 32:54 young Muslim generation in facing AI 32:57 development so they are not only 32:59 capable of mastering technology, but 33:02 also remain strong in faith, mature in 33:05 thought, and possess good character? 33:09 Yes, perhaps for our future generation, 33:12 the Gen Z children and others, we can 33:17 say that this future will likely be 33:20 mastered by those who understand AI. 33:23 >> Hm. 33:24 >> So many roles will be played by those 33:27 who can master this AI. Therefore, in 33:31 managing our worldly affairs, let us 33:33 continue to make AI a means for us to 33:36 reach our desired intentions. The good 33:39 things that are taught in our religion. 33:42 Make the teachings of our Islamic 33:44 religion—whose references are the 33:47 Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet, and 33:49 the sayings of reputable scholars—as 33:52 important references in life. I want to 33:56 emphasize the importance of the 33:58 reference that the Quran and the Sunnah 34:01 of the Prophet, as the Prophet said, " 34:03 Lan tadillu ba'di abada," you will 34:05 never go astray after me if you hold 34:07 fast to the Quran and Sunnah, says the 34:10 Prophet. So, always make the Quran and 34:12 the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu 34:13 alaihi wasallam the reference in 34:15 practicing religion. Nothing can 34:16 replace these as the references in our 34:19 lives. Although AI can be used as a 34:22 reference source for our worldly 34:24 affairs. Perhaps, but in religious 34:28 matters, it cannot be replaced by that 34:31 AI. So learn to use AI as a tool to 34:35 simplify life. We say learn it; don't 34:39 abandon AI, but learn to use it for 34:43 good purposes, purposes that align with 34:46 our beliefs and faith. Then, regarding 34:52 our religious practice, religion is not 34:54 just a matter of having answers to 34:57 questions. It is not merely knowledge 35:03 alone or just a matter of logic. But 35:09 religion has a more important and 35:11 primary side, which is our conviction 35:13 in Allah and our surrender in 35:15 performing our worship to Allah 35:17 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 35:19 >> Theoretical understanding is one side. 35:22 Then, the practice and experience of 35:27 our faith and daily acts of worship are 35:33 important parts of our religion. So, no 35:38 one should think that AI can replace 35:41 religion. No. Religion has its 35:43 practical side. I will not be a Muslim 35:46 if I do not pray. Even though AI might 35:49 explain to me how to pray, I must 35:52 practice my prayer every day so that I 35:54 become a Muslim who practices my 35:56 religion. 35:58 >> Therefore, from a practical standpoint 36:01 like this, it is clear that AI cannot 36:03 replace our religion. So do not entrust 36:06 all your religious matters to AI; 36:09 religion requires practice and 36:12 experience. Now, these are the 36:15 important aspects of ourselves in 36:17 practicing religion that AI will not be 36:20 able to replace at all. Now, then " 36:23 fasalu ahla al-dhikri in kuntum la 36:25 ta'lamun." If you do not know about 36:27 religious matters, ask those who are 36:28 knowledgeable. 36:30 >> Yeah. 36:31 >> The knowledgeable ones. 36:32 >> Whether it's religious matters or 36:34 worldly affairs. That is very 36:36 scientific. As Allah says in the Quran. 36:39 Ask those who know if you do not know. 36:42 Especially in our religious matters. 36:44 Our religion has a "sanad"(chain of 36:45 authority), you know. Scientific 36:46 knowledge in our religion has a chain 36:47 of authority. That chain is inherited 36:49 from generation to generation by 36:51 scholars so that what? So that we do 36:53 not go astray. Just as Allah says in 36:55 the Quran too, "Qul ihbitu minha 36:57 jami'an fa-imma ya'tiyannakum minni 36:59 hudan.""Faman tabi'a hudaya fala 37:01 khawfun 'alayhim wala hum yahzanun." 37:05 When Allah commanded Adam to descend to 37:08 this earth, Allah said, "Then if there 37:10 comes to you guidance from Me." Then 37:15 whoever follows My guidance, says Allah 37:16 , then "fala khawfun' alayhim wala hum 37:18 yahzanun." They will not fear, and they 37:21 will not grieve. Meaning that if you 37:24 follow Allah's revealed guidance, 37:27 meaning the Quran, Allah's revealed 37:29 revelation, you will not be afraid and 37:32 will not grieve. So, peace of mind 37:35 isn't found in AI answers that are 37:38 engineered, potentially set in a 37:40 certain way, or programmed by those 37:43 giant corporations in a way that’s 37:46 even designed to hack us, you know. Yes 37:50 . 37:51 >> So, the AI programs used every single 37:53 day are actually there to read our 37:55 personalities. AI is trained to answer 37:58 us in a specific way. Even when we 38:01 object, we challenge it. Oh, right. So 38:03 it understands exactly what we want. 38:07 The more it understands what we want, 38:09 the more that AI, without us even 38:11 realizing it, can influence us if we 38:13 just surrender ourselves to that AI 38:15 program. Therefore, we have no choice 38:20 but to return to the Quran and the 38:22 Prophet's Sunnah, and the guidance of 38:24 Allah's revelation is what ensures we 38:27 won't feel sad or afraid, as Allah says 38:29 . 38:30 >> Mhm. 38:30 >> So don't assume that just because you 38:32 feel comfortable, it means it's right 38:34 when AI is the one speaking. Some 38:36 people feel that talking to it is 38:38 peaceful and comfortable, right? 38:39 That’s because it has been programmed 38:41 to cater to our every desire. 38:43 >> Yeah. 38:43 >> People, after all, love hearing 38:45 information that aligns with what they 38:46 want. 38:47 >> Yes. Right. 38:48 >> We feel calm if the answer provided is 38:50 exactly what we wanted to hear, you 38:52 know. And that is what it’s 38:53 programmed for. But when scholars—the 38:56 *Ahlul Dhikr*—speak, whether you like 38:59 it or not, it is the truth that we must 39:01 follow. Whether I am happy or unhappy 39:04 with it. It is the truth that I must 39:06 follow. So, as long as it is Allah’s 39:09 revelation, as long as it is guidance 39:11 from Allah, we must be ready to follow 39:13 it. Yes, perhaps that is the important 39:17 message I want to convey to young 39:19 people who feel, you know, feeling 39:22 anxious, yet feel comforted by AI. But 39:26 let me say that, uh, *hudaya fala 39:30 khaufun alaihim wala hum yahzanun. * 39:33 Whoever follows My guidance, says Allah 39:35 , will have no fear, nor will they 39:38 grieve; they will neither fear nor be 39:40 sad by following the guidance of Allah 39:43 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That’s how it is 39:45 . 39:46 >> Right. 39:46 >> Through the Quran that we read. Then, 39:49 what if the younger generation thinks, 39:51 "Ah, it's enough for me to just ask AI; 39:54 I don't need to ask an*ustad*anymore."" 39:57 Especially since AI can provide answers 40:00 so quickly, you know." Ye 40:02 >> Anytime, and about all sorts of 40:04 religious issues. How should we respond 40:08 to this mindset, and what is its impact 40:10 on the tradition of seeking knowledge 40:13 in Islam? 40:14 >> Yes, that’s a good point. So, look, 40:17 do we want to arrive at mere knowledge, 40:19 or do we want to arrive at the truth? 40:23 >> Yes. 40:25 >> We are looking for the truth, not just 40:27 mere information or just any answer. 40:31 What guarantees that the answer I get 40:33 is actually true? What guarantees that 40:36 the answer I get is accurate and will 40:38 save me? Exactly. Because that is 40:40 what’s most important. If there is a 40:42 guarantee that what I receive is true 40:45 and will save me, then go ahead. But if 40:49 it is AI, well, there is no guarantee 40:51 of truth, it just merely provides 40:53 comfort. Like a person with a headache 40:57 taking taking a painkiller. Does that 41:02 cure it? "Ah, I'm fine, just one pill 41:05 and it's done." But the problem causing 41:08 the headache, the root cause that must 41:10 be healed, that’s what needs to be 41:12 addressed, right? Now, seeking 41:14 knowledge is the same way, yes. That 41:17 our tradition of scholarship relies on 41:20 a*sanad*(chain of transmission) and 41:22 authentic references for every single 41:25 issue. Truth can be held accountable 41:30 through that, yes, not just by getting 41:33 answers that seem plentiful or seem as 41:36 if they align with my own desires. And 41:41 AI is formatted for that, formatted to 41:44 provide answers that match the user's 41:47 intent, but what guarantees that I am 41:49 not being deceived by it? 41:52 >> Yes. 41:53 >> Well, exactly. So, the matter of 41:56 scholarship once again comes back to 41:58 references. 42:00 >> Mm-hmm. 42:01 >> And in religious scholarship, 42:03 references and*sanad*cannot be 42:05 discarded, cannot be marginalized, and 42:07 cannot be set aside. That is an 42:10 absolute requirement, what you call an 42:12 absolute condition, for what I acquire 42:14 to be considered knowledge. 42:17 >> Now, that will never disappear until 42:19 the Day of Judgment. 42:20 >> Mm-hmm. 42:21 >> Even if advanced technology creates 42:24 super-intelligence, or computers or 42:26 whatever super-intelligent things are 42:29 made, it will never replace the way we 42:32 practice our religion and the way we 42:35 seek our religious knowledge. Then what 42:39 are the weaknesses of AI itself 42:40 according to you, Ustaz? 42:42 >> The weakness is that we are currently 42:44 in an era where AI is still in its 42:45 infancy, yes. 42:46 >> Yes. Yes. 42:47 >> It is still in the early stages. AI is 42:49 just a robot. AI does not have feelings 42:51 . The biggest weakness of AI is that it 42:55 is not human. 42:57 >> Not human. And then, the most primary 42:59 weakness is that it is a human creation 43:01 . 43:01 >> Yes, that's right. What’s worse, its 43:04 weakness is that it is a human creation 43:06 that might fall out of human control. 43:12 >> Mm-hmm. 43:12 >> That is what people are worried about 43:13 today, right? 43:14 >> Yes. 43:14 >> That AI could kill humans themselves. 43:18 >> Uh, isn't that impressive, Ustaz? Try 43:21 to think, is it really impressive if 43:23 something can no longer be controlled 43:25 by humans? Is it impressive? It is 43:28 >> terrifying. Ustaz 43:29 >> terrifying. That is its greatest flaw. 43:32 It can become something beyond human 43:35 control. 43:35 >> A weapon turning against its master, 43:36 right? 43:37 >> Yes. Imagine if our knowledge were 43:40 derived from something beyond human 43:42 understanding. Oh, but we believe in 43:44 Allah, who is beyond human, right, 43:46 Ustaz? Mm-hmm. 43:47 >> Allah is the Most Gracious and Most 43:48 Merciful. Allah is the Almighty, the 43:52 All-Wise. Allah is the Most Mighty. 43:56 >> Mm-hmm. Beyond our capacity, yet He is 43:59 Hakim, the Wise. Meaning, what comes 44:02 from Allah, *wala yazlimu rabbuka ahada 44:04 *(and your Lord does injustice to no 44:05 one). God says, "Your Lord will never 44:08 wrong any of His servants." We have a 44:10 guarantee from God. 44:12 >> Yes. 44:12 >> Yes, we have a guarantee from God. What 44:14 guarantees us that this AI won't go out 44:17 of human control, created by humans yet 44:19 beyond human control? That is a major 44:21 weakness of AI, 44:24 >> in our opinion. Right, not a strength. 44:27 Heh. 44:28 >> That is a very extraordinary and 44:30 terrifying weakness of AI. 44:32 >> Hm. 44:32 >> Right, yes. And one more thing, Ustaz, 44:35 the weakness of AI, 44:36 >> one that is most fundamental. If there 44:39 is no electricity, 44:40 >> it dies. 44:41 >> It dies. We cannot ask it anything. If 44:43 there's no electricity, it's over, 44:44 right? 44:45 >> It's finished, it dies. It needs energy 44:46 . 44:47 >> Needs energy. 44:47 >> Yes. So it is something very weak, 44:49 isn't it? 44:50 >> Alright. Uh Ustaz, how do we respond to 44:53 the phenomenon of some young people who 44:55 are starting to question their 44:57 religious beliefs to the point of 44:59 choosing to become agnostic? Does this 45:03 AI influence this phenomenon, and how 45:05 do we accompany them so they can find 45:08 answers through dialogue and good 45:10 understanding? Yes, uh in this AI era, 45:14 when AI is able to provide answers that 45:18 seem logical, yes, that seem to align 45:21 with what the person who wants to know 45:25 is looking for, this is indeed a unique 45:29 challenge. Uh-huh. Uh, we now need, uh, 45:34 regarding issues of creed, issues of 45:37 faith, yes. We need our scientists, our 45:42 scholars, our thinkers to provide easy 45:45 information, easy access for anyone who 45:49 is questioning complex issues of creed, 45:52 yes. Issues of creed that make them 45:57 anxious should be as easily accessible 46:00 as possible to anyone with authentic 46:03 references from a scientist, someone 46:05 who has a good religious understanding. 46:09 Yes. And to the youth, young people, 46:14 they should refer first not to the AI, 46:17 but to the references of scientists, 46:20 scholars, experts in their fields who 46:23 can provide answers that can calm them 46:26 and are logical regarding the religious 46:29 issues they are facing, regarding the 46:31 problems of creed they are facing, 46:34 regarding any misconceptions they might 46:37 be facing. Uh, we hope our scientists, 46:42 our scholars, our thinkers, Muslim 46:44 thinkers, will engage in more dialogue 46:46 and discussion in the public space and 46:48 make it easily accessible for things 46:50 like this. So that it is not easy for 46:54 young people to just rely on AI and 46:56 feel at peace through AI. Because there 46:59 is no guarantee that the answers given 47:02 by AI are in accordance with Islamic 47:04 creed, in accordance with the correct 47:07 and good understanding conveyed by our 47:09 scholars. So, we uh need that. Now, 47:14 easy access to religious dialogue, 47:16 especially regarding issues of creed. 47:19 >> Uh-huh. 47:20 >> Those complex things must be conveyed 47:23 simply and easily. 47:25 >> Uh-huh. Yes. So, it provides quick and 47:28 accurate answers for young people 47:29 without them having to believe in AI. 47:32 Sometimes they trust it because no one 47:35 else is discussing these things in 47:36 public spaces. 47:38 >> Yes. 47:39 >> Or perhaps it's just curiosity, feeling 47:41 like every question they ask is surely 47:43 answered by AI. 47:44 >> But once again, the challenge is, does 47:46 it guarantee the answer is correct? 47:49 >> Does it guarantee the answer matches 47:51 the references? Many college students 47:54 have their thesis references made by AI 47:57 . Yet when checked, they turn out to be 47:59 wrong. 48:01 >> Without ruling out the possibility that 48:03 one day, references could indeed be 48:04 created authentically by AI. That may 48:07 happen in the future, but the question 48:09 of whether it is authentic or not 48:11 remains a scientific inquiry. This 48:14 means I cannot surrender 100%to AI. 48:18 >> Uh-huh. 48:18 >> Hmm. Exactly. Regarding this, Ustadz. 48:22 What should the young Muslim generation 48:25 prepare in facing AI development so 48:28 they are not only capable of mastering 48:30 technology, but also remain strong in 48:33 faith, mature in thinking, and possess 48:36 good character. 48:38 >> Yes. Uh. One thing that differentiates 48:43 humans from robots is their character, 48:46 their soul, and their feelings. 48:49 Character and soul are the distinct 48:52 privileges of humans. Whereas AI cannot 48:57 feel, it cannot know right from wrong. 49:01 Yes. 49:03 >> The one who knows right from wrong is 49:05 the human being. And then, it is humans 49:09 who have references. Where do the 49:11 references come from? From revelation. 49:13 Yes. References from revelation are 49:15 absolute references. So, in this matter 49:19 , regarding character, we must return 49:21 to the Qur'an, back to God's revelation 49:24 . The most authentic reference for 49:27 character returns to religion. 49:29 Philosophers all say the same thing. 49:33 Even Immanuel Kant himself, when 49:36 writing the books he authored, 49:38 eventually believed in God, although 49:41 when he first wrote his books, this 49:43 German philosopher, Immanuel Kant...The 49:46 first book he wrote about the critique 49:49 of pure reason suggested he did not 49:52 believe in the existence of God. But 49:56 when he spoke about the logic of 49:58 morality, that was when he returned to 50:00 believing in God. When talking about 50:02 morality, one believes in religion. It 50:04 cannot be helped, it must be referred 50:06 to religion, to God. So from this, if 50:11 we consider character something 50:14 important in our lives, ultimately we 50:17 cannot return moral and ethical issues 50:20 to AI, but must return to religion. Our 50:25 young people must realize that the 50:27 privilege of humans lies in their 50:29 character. That is why the Prophet was 50:32 sent to perfect human character. And AI 50:35 is not capable of teaching character. 50:38 >> Yes. 50:39 >> It cannot teach morals, it cannot teach 50:41 about sincerity, patience, humility, 50:43 humbleness, and others. Those are all 50:46 special characteristics of human 50:48 morality itself. Hmm. 50:51 >> So, let us not cast aside our morals, 50:55 which are our unique distinction, just 50:58 because AI is capable of providing 51:01 intellectual answers, intelligence, and 51:05 vast references it may present to us. 51:10 But the issue of truth and falsehood. 51:13 >> Yeah. Yes, between evil and goodness, 51:16 those are all moral issues, issues of 51:19 ethics that return to religion. So, my 51:24 important message to children, to our 51:27 youth, is that technology is human-made 51:29 , and the distinction of humans is not 51:32 in intellectual intelligence and 51:35 advanced technology, but returns to 51:37 noble character. Noble character. Noble 51:42 character is found in religious 51:43 teachings sourced from the revelation 51:46 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. And a 51:50 human is perfected by their ability to 51:52 apply good character in their life, in 51:54 accordance with the Prophet's Sunnah, 51:56 in accordance with the character of the 51:58 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 52:01 So, talking about logic regarding AI 52:04 will be very different from when we 52:06 talk about moral and ethical issues. 52:10 Hmm. 52:10 >> Exactly. 52:11 >> That is what cannot be replaced by AI. 52:15 >> Yes. 52:16 >> Emotional issues, AI does not have that 52:19 . 52:19 >> It does not have that. 52:20 >> And matters of faith, it also does not 52:22 have that. 52:23 >> It does not possess that. 52:24 >> It only 52:24 >> lacks intention. It 52:26 >> does not have intention, right. 52:27 >> It does not have free will. 52:28 >> It does not have free will. 52:29 >> It has no destiny. Those who have free 52:31 will, intention, and destiny are only 52:32 us. 52:33 >> Yes. 52:34 >> Yes. And that returns to the Quran and 52:36 the Prophet's Sunnah. 52:37 >> Hmm. 52:37 >> Back to faith. If tonight there are 52:41 young people listening to our broadcast 52:44 , Tengku, what should these young 52:46 people prepare for the future, since 52:49 our conversation might not be for today 52:52 , but perhaps for the next 10 or 20 52:55 years? Yes. 52:58 >> What must the youth prepare to face an 53:00 era that 53:02 >> in the future will truly 53:05 >> will truly become a reference for 53:08 everyone. 53:09 >> Start from now, understand well the 53:13 religion that we believe in. Learn and 53:17 deepen your knowledge from the sources, 53:20 from our scholars, from our scientists. 53:24 And practice this religion from this 53:29 moment on. Know it well, correctly, so 53:34 that you will later have certainty in 53:37 life. When AI later provides answers 53:41 and many people ask, rely heavily, and 53:44 refer to AI, then AI with its many 53:47 applications and many companies will 53:50 provide different answers as well. At 53:54 that moment, we will be hesitant, we 53:55 will be confused. Why? We have no 53:57 foundation. So now is the time for us 54:01 to educate our children, our future 54:03 generations, with a firm foundation of 54:06 faith. So they are not swayed or 54:11 treated as test subjects by these AI 54:14 companies 54:16 >> all over the world. 54:18 >> Now, an entirely uncertain world lies 54:22 ahead of us. Completely uncertain. 54:25 Everything that makes us anxious, 54:27 everything that makes us uneasy, is 54:29 right in front of us. That is why it is 54:33 important for us to understand our 54:35 religion directly from the original 54:37 sources through early education. Teach 54:41 Islam well and learn it well so we can 54:44 keep living with absolute certainty. 54:46 Because faith is reassuring. Because 54:48 faith teaches what is certain, 54:50 >> what is real, what is right, and what 54:52 is wrong. Yes, that is taught in our 54:55 religion. But when we don't have a 54:58 certain reference for life, we will be 55:00 swayed. That is the catastrophe of our 55:02 lives. Because doubt and hesitation are 55:07 the greatest catastrophes in life. 55:12 >> Yes. Yes. A great, great, great 55:15 catastrophe in life. So, with this 55:18 faith, we build an important foundation 55:20 for firm conviction, firm principles, 55:23 and firm morals. 55:25 >> Yeah. 55:25 >> In life moving forward. People who lack 55:27 morals or lack certain conviction will 55:30 have a very hard time living in the 55:32 future. It will be hard to determine 55:35 matters and hard to make decisions in 55:37 life. 55:38 >> Yeah. Now, this is what we need to 55:40 convey to our young friends. 55:42 >> Alright, thank you 55:44 >> to the brothers and sisters. Thus, uh 55:51 we have met with Dr. Tengku H. Amri 55:54 Fatmi Anjis on our theme tonight 55:57 regarding AI and the future of our 56:01 religious life. In closing, perhaps 56:05 Ustaz could wrap up with a conclusion. 56:09 >> Yes. Friends, and all the listeners we 56:13 honor, every era and every time has its 56:17 own challenges, and these challenges 56:21 test our faith in Allah Subhanahu wa 56:25 ta'ala. There is nothing we need to 56:28 worry about regarding the challenges 56:29 that occur in life. They are all tests. 56:32 Yes. "Wablukum bisharri wal khairi 56:35 fitnah," says Allah. And We will test 56:38 you with both evil and good as a trial 56:41 in our lives. So, technology created by 56:45 humans is a trial in human hands, born 56:48 from human endeavor itself. A believer 56:53 who has faith in Allah will always be 56:56 optimistic as long as they believe in 56:59 Allah and surrender themselves to Him, 57:01 knowing they have a firm grip on life 57:04 and a strong foundation through the 57:06 reference of the Quran and the Sunnah 57:09 of the Prophet, peace be upon him. No 57:14 matter how sophisticated the AI 57:16 technology produced in the future may 57:18 be, our religion and our faith, which 57:21 hold firmly to the Quran—the 57:23 revelation of Allah—and the Sunnah of 57:25 the Prophet, peace be upon him, will 57:28 continue to be an essential reference 57:30 for human life in facing any challenges 57:33 that may come in the future. That is 57:36 all, thank you. May the peace, mercy, 57:38 and blessings of Allah be upon you. And 57:40 may the peace, mercy, and blessings of 57:42 Allah be upon you too, brothers and 57:43 sisters, listeners of Radio Silaturahim 57:45 wherever you may be. Thus concludes our 57:48 meeting in this successful program 57:51 tonight. From the discussion with our 57:54 teacher, Tengku H. Amri Fatmi Anjis, we 57:57 learned that AI is an advancement that 57:59 must be approached wisely. We may 58:03 master technology, but we must not lose 58:06 our faith, morality, and human values. 58:10 Thank you to our teacher for the 58:11 enlightenment provided. Hopefully, it 58:14 is beneficial for us all, especially 58:17 the younger generation in facing the 58:19 future. I am Abi Agus, accompanied by 58:22 Neza at the Rasel TV switcher desk. We 58:25 take our leave from your listening 58:27 space. Until we meet again, may Allah 58:29 grant us success and guidance. And may 58:30 the peace, mercy, and blessings of 58:32 Allah be upon you. 58:33 >> And may the peace, mercy, and blessings 58:35 of Allah be upon you.
