- about
- a special intelligence agent.
- A special intelligence agent.
- Yes.
- Oh, were there intelligence agents
- during the time of the Prophet?
- Yes,
- a special intelligence agent. What is
- his name?
- His name is Said bin
- uh, Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah. Yes.
- Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah. Yes.
- Yes. Okay, the Ustaz will tell the
- story later, and those who want to join

- Asalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh. Innalhamdalillah nahmaduhu
- wa nastainuhu wa nastaghfiruh wa naudzu
- billahi min syururi anfusina wa
- sayyiati a'malina. May yahdillah fala
- mudillalah wa may yudlil fala hadiyalah
- . Ashadu alla ilahaillallah wahdahu la
- syarikalah wa asyhadu anna muhammadan
- abduhu wa rasuluh. Amma ba'd. To the
- listeners of Rasil radio and viewers of
- Rasil TV. Alhamdulillah, this Monday
- morning we return to study the
- biography of a companion, and on this
- morning's occasion, we will discuss a
- companion named Qais bin Sa'ad bin
- Ubadah. He once said this. If it were
- not for Islam, then he would be the
- most cunning trickster among the Arabs.
- A master of trickery. The most cunning
- trickster among the Arabs. What made
- him, Qais bin Sa'ad,
- not carry out the plans he had
- previously devised? Only the word of
- Allah found in Surah Fatir. Allah says
- in His verse, audzubillahi
- minasyaitanirrajim. Wala yahiqul makrus
- sayyi'u illa biahlih. Surah Fatir verse
- 43, not 40, yes. Meaning, "And the evil
- plot does not encompass except its own
- people." Wala yahiqul makrus sayyi'u.
- And the evil plot will not, illa
- biahlih, return but to its own people.
- Qais bin Sa'ad, one of the prominent
- figures among the Ansar companions,
- whose father was Sa'ad bin Ubadah. He
- is one of the companions from the
- Khazraj tribe who was truly admired. He
- is considered one of the rijalus
- sahabah, meaning, the great figures
- among the companions. Now, regarding
- Qais, he is the son of Sa'ad bin Ubadah
- . Now, this Qais was admired by his
- people and he inherited the behavior of
- his respected ancestors, namely courage
- and generosity.
- Usually, when someone is brave, they
- can be harsh.
- Yes.
- Brave and harsh, but he was brave and
- generous.
- Generous and kind-hearted as well.
- Two traits not possessed by most of the
- Arabs. H
- however, there is only one thing that
- the Arab leaders noted; he was young,
- but he had the wisdom of an elder.
- Yes.
- Another thing that was lacking, if we
- speak of appearance, is that his face
- had no beard.
- Hmm. You know, a face without a beard,
- smooth. So the Arabs would say, "If
- there were a beard that suited him to
- wear, I would buy it for any price."
- That's how much.
- to perfect the majesty of his face. "
- Now, this is truly something rarely
- possessed by our people. He
- Our people usually have smooth faces,
- right? Including me, it’s smooth.
- I also used to want a beard when I
- didn't have one, but as soon as it grew
- , I kept shaving it off. But that was
- back then, when it was still what
- people there call" corencang. "
- Corencang.
- Still sparse, just two or three hairs.
- But once I cleaned it up, it came out
- thick.
- Lots of it. Yeah. So now it’s a bit
- thicker. Now, this is what shaped the
- thoughts of other Arab leaders toward
- Saad, toward Qais bin Sa'ad.
- Now, he at the time an event we know as
- the Conquest of Mecca took place. Mecca
- .
- His father was entrusted to carry the
- flag.
- H.
- Yeah. And the Prophet instructed all
- the leaders who were about to enter the
- city of Mecca that they should say,"
- Al-yauma yaumul marhamah. "Meaning,
- today is a day of mercy. Now, do not
- say anything else. Al-yauma yaumul
- marhamah. Even if there is resentment,
- or dislike toward the Quraysh leaders
- who had oppressed and harmed many, and
- some among the Quraysh had even killed
- the Prophet's companions. No need, we
- don't need to retaliate. That's it,
- today is a day of mercy. Now, it was
- the turn of Saad, specifically Sa'ad
- bin Ubadah, the father of Qais bin
- Sa'ad. Once he arrived in the city of
- Mecca, he uttered a sentence. What was
- the sentence? Like this." Al-yauma
- yaumul malhamah. "So, the 'r' was
- replaced with an 'l'. That’s usually
- for people who have a lisp, right? Lisp
- . Malhamah. Even though it was supposed
- to be marhamah.
- Marhamah.
- Now, he changed it to" Al-yauma yaumul
- malhamah. "Eventually, this news
- reached the Prophet Muhammad, peace be
- upon him, meaning it was heard as"
- al-yauma yaumul malhamah. "Today is a
- day of slaughter. Oh. H. He was shocked
- by this.
- Al-yauma, today, yaumu, is the day,
- al-malham.
- Slaughter.
- So people now who are disobedient, who
- don't want to follow orders, are ready
- to have their necks cut.
- Finally, this news reached the Prophet
- Muhammad, peace be upon him. So the
- Prophet listened to this report
- carefully. Then Ali bin Abi Thalib was
- sent." Ali, go check if it's true he
- said that. "Ali, as a special soldier,
- or in today's terms, someone who was
- always close to the Prophet; informants
- were always selected.
- Ali arrived and it turned out to be
- true.
- He was holding the flag saying,"
- Al-yauma yaumul malhamah. "H.
- He was approached and called." Saad,
- come here. "In my language,
- if I were to say it in Sundanese," Ka
- dieu maneh. "" Come here. "Called to
- where? As soon as he was called, he was
- told," You are already disobedient. ""
- I am removing you from your position. "
- Whoa." But I will hand over the
- leadership to someone who is still your
- relative, your son. "He called his son,
- Qais. Wow, imagine how a father was
- suddenly removed as commander for
- breaking the rules. But Alhamdulillah,
- the leadership was still handed over.
- Alhamdulillah, not to anyone else, but
- to his son. So perhaps if he sulked, he
- would sulk at his son, but not too
- harshly. But because it was handed over
- to his son, he was obedient and
- submissive. These are the two types,
- you see. One was indeed a father who
- was so strong and tough. The other was
- his brave son, but they both had gentle
- hearts.
- Wow. So when he led the Muslims during
- the entry into Makkah, he followed the
- Prophet's advice." Today is a day of
- mercy, "that was always being chanted.
- This was a truly thrilling event.
- However, of all the troops deployed by
- the Prophet to enter Makkah, there was
- the one led by Khalid bin Walid. Huh.
- That came under attack from Ikrimah's
- forces.
- You see, Khalid bin Walid and Ikrimah
- were a package deal back in the
- Jahiliyyah days.
- Yeah.
- So if he attacked the Prophet, he would
- join in. Oh, these two men were truly
- valiant, that is for sure. One was Abu
- Jahl's son, Ikrimah.
- The other was the son of
- Al-Walid, namely Khalid bin Walid. Now,
- by Allah's decree, Allah gave guidance
- to Khalid bin Walid first. Back then,
- Ikrimah had not yet embraced Islam.
- So when Makkah was conquered, the path
- taken to enter the city of Makkah by
- Khalid bin Walid was blocked by Ikrimah
- .
- Even though Khalid had said," Go away,
- you don't need to guard this. Today
- there is no fighting. No. Wow, said
- Ikrimah's troops.
- Do you think you can just waltz through
- here? Taste this first. Wow, arrows and
- stones were flying everywhere. Oh no,
- the Prophet said. Unless forced to,
- you're not allowed to shed blood during
- the conquest.
- But because the troops were forced
- Khalid was pushed by the fierce attacks
- from the forces of
- Ikrimah. Ikrimah, eventually Khalid
- quickly took direct action wow, with
- that fast attack, they fled Ikrimah's
- troops. But some were killed; some say
- two people, others say more than two.
- Well, Ikrimah and his friends ran
- helter-skelter.
- Wow, Khalid's troops were incredible.
- Now, when the battle happened, the
- Prophet saw it from afar; in our terms,
- he was wary of Khalid. Why?
- Did I not forbid fighting? Why? Finally
- , the Prophet sent a companion; some
- say it was Ali who was sent.
- Yeah.
- Once he arrived, Ali said, "Khalid, you
- are summoned by the Prophet." Khalid
- was suspicious. Yes, finally Khalid
- arrived, and the Prophet immediately
- said, "Why did you fight?" Didn't I say
- it was forbidden? "" O Prophet, how
- could I not defend myself? "I said
- today there would be no fighting,
- but they kept attacking me. Yes, in
- accordance with the instructions,
- unless forced. Finally, I raised my
- weapon. That was out of necessity
- because they were attacking so fiercely
- . Oh, alright, the Prophet said, one
- cannot just stand by when attacked. Yes
- , that's why the verse says Allah does
- not love...except for those who...Allah
- does not love. God does not like
- al-jahru bis-su '. Openly committing
- evil deeds. Meaning, speaking evil,
- behaving badly, or the like. God says,
- I do not like that. Illa man zulim.
- Except for those who have been wronged.
- Now, those who are wronged are
- permitted to fight back.
- Yes, the situation became calm and
- controlled. Praise be to God, the
- Prophet and his companions entered the
- city of Mecca peacefully. Now, this
- companion, Qais......because he was
- diligent and a deep thinker regarding
- any situation. So, God granted him a
- long life.
- He lived through the time of the
- Prophet, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and
- Ali.
- Even up to the time of Ali's son, Hasan
- ibn Ali. Now, during Ali's time, the
- Muslims were split into two.
- Yes.
- One side supported Muawiyah,
- the other side supported Ali. These
- were two very highly admired figures.
- Now, which side would the companion
- Qais take? Through deep contemplation,
- thorough analysis, and sharp thinking,
- he found clarity that the one he should
- follow was Ali ibn Abi Talib. So he
- joined the ranks of Ali ibn Abi Talib.
- Now, when he was in Ali ibn Abi Talib's
- ranks, Muawiyah's side wanted to hold
- what we might call a lobby.
- Heh.
- Trying to get him to join their group.
- But he gave them a firm answer. Meaning
- that Muawiyah's side was not justified.
- in being appointed leader because the
- one already appointed by the Muslims
- was Ali.
- Ali.
- Meanwhile, at that time, Muawiyah was
- an amir,
- or what we might call a governor. And
- the command center was in Medina. The
- people of Medina had agreed to appoint
- Ali as caliph. Yes.
- Suddenly, Ali informed several
- governors or amirs in various regions
- to pledge their allegiance to the
- caliph. Others pledged, but Muawiyah
- refused.
- He was written to many times, but he
- did not answer the letters. Even when
- he did reply, the paper was blank. Then
- , the two armies stood face to face.
- Now, this is where the companion Qais
- bin Sa'ad comes in. Wow, he said," I
- must carry out my planned strategy. "
- Yes.
- But just as he intended to execute his
- plan—a plan that, in modern terms,
- might have caused unprecedented chaos
- ......because his tactical strategy was
- truly impressive. He suddenly
- remembered God's verse.
- Indeed. Wala yahiqul makrus sayyi'u
- illa bi ahlihi. No evil scheme will
- encompass except its own authors.
- In the end, he withdrew and did not
- proceed. Now, that is what you call a
- brave person. Even though he was ready,
- once reminded of God's verse, his heart
- softened.
- This is the greatness of whom? Qais bin
- Sa'ad al-
- Ubadah. ibn Sa'ad ibn Ubadah. So, his
- greatness lies right there. Once God's
- verse is set before him, he refuses to
- go any further. Yet, every strategy he
- used before embracing Islam had been
- successful. But once he converted, it
- was only because of Islam that he
- couldn't do what he used to do.
- That’s what’s great about it. He
- had a high level of awareness regarding
- Allah's law, and he wouldn't act on
- anything without verification.
- So if he received any news, he had to
- check it first. We call it" check and
- re-check. "
- Only when things were clear would he
- take action. If it was still grey or
- unclear, he would not act. Now, whose
- greatness is this?
- Sa'ad.
- Sa'ad bin Ubadah. Yes.
- Qais bin Sa'ad.
- Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah. Now, why do
- I call him a generous and brave person
- among his people? When night fell,
- there would be someone standing on the
- mountain.
- And he would make an announcement. Who
- is currently here? Are you traveling or
- doing something else? If you are hungry
- , please come to the house next to me.
- Who was that? That was the family of
- Qais bin Sa'ad.
- So suddenly there was a light on the
- mountain. Like a light.
- A lamp.
- This
- was
- before there was electricity, so they
- used a bright lantern.
- H
- Like an oil lamp. An oil lamp, right?
- Yes, an oil lamp.
- Then what? They would say, if you are
- walking in this darkness, we have
- prepared a torch so you don't trip.
- That is the greatness of the family of
- Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah. It was to
- that extent. Now, one time Abu Bakar
- and Umar saw the activities Qais bin
- Sa'ad was doing, how he gave so much
- aid to others. Umar said," If we don't
- tell this man to stop, his wealth will
- run out. "He heard it. He said," If it
- wasn't Abu Bakar and Umar speaking, I
- would have confronted them. "But who
- would dare to face Abu Bakar and Umar?
- But still, I will keep doing what my
- ancestors always did. Because his
- ancestors were generous, kind-hearted,
- and very attentive to other people.
- This is the type of family Qais bin
- Sa'ad bin Ubadah had. And this trait
- was inherited by Qais himself. He was
- brave, charitable, and a strategist.
- Whatever others did, if he said," Okay,
- "then it was done—that was his
- greatness. He was an intelligent person
- . He was still young at that time. When
- he lived during the time of the Prophet
- , he was still young. The only thing is
- , unfortunately, he didn't have a beard
- , they say. That’s why I used to
- think, even if my beard is thin,
- just a few strands, I had a thought in
- my heart that angels were hanging there
- back then. Because I wanted a beard so
- badly. Alhamdulillah. That's why it's
- strange now that people who have been
- given beards shave them until they are
- bald, until there is none left,
- when they should be letting it grow
- thicker.
- Yeah. Even though there are differences
- of opinion among scholars, some say
- this is secondary, it's not primary. I
- already said it's secondary. Here it is
- , primary again. If it is indeed a
- Sunnah, if we truly love the Sunnah,
- then do it. Unless you don't care for
- the Sunnah. Well, that's a different
- story. That's one thing. The second
- point we need to learn is to follow
- these strategic steps. Indeed, the
- companion Qais bin Sa'ad had high
- obedience to the Quran.
- So, if there is a call based on the
- call of Allah and His Messenger, he is
- ready for anything.
- A quick response, yes.
- Well. His" sami'na wa atha'na "(we hear
- and we obey) is high; he does not act
- easily.
- Before he personally conducts a check
- and recheck.
- Be careful, be cautious so as not to
- cause regret, let alone being careless.
- Thus, walhamdulillah, Assalamualaikum
- warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh, thank you Ustaz Komarudin
- for the story of the companion this
- morning. The companion, Qais bin Sa'ad
- bin Ubadah. He was a special
- intelligence officer during the time of
- the Prophet. Besides being brave, he
- was also generous, brothers and sisters

- Ah. Radio Rodja for the one Islam, with
- us Iwan Ah in the show" Sirah Sahabat "
- (Biography of the Companions) with
- Ustaz Komarudin Basyuni, sharing the
- story of Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah.
- This is the father's name and the
- grandfather's name combined. Wow,
- subhanallah. He possessed the traits of
- being brave and also generous. He was a
- special intelligence officer during the
- time of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be
- upon him. And many WhatsApp messages
- have come in to 0811999720.
- The first one I will read is from Mr.
- Hadi in Jampang, Sukabumi, Ustaz.
- Masyaallah. Is it Mr. Haluk, brother,
- or Mr. Hadi?
- Hadi, right. So, listening from Lataan
- FM, yes. Relayed from Lataan FM.
- Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh, Ustaz. Waalaikumsalam
- warahmatullah, Mr. Hadi.
- Perhaps we could say this companion
- Qais was ascetic (zuhud), Ustaz.
- Hmm.
- Because his generosity could be
- interpreted as asceticism, in your
- opinion, Ustaz, what is the meaning of
- zuhud?
- Yes.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. What we often
- understand and hear from our teachers.
- The meaning of zuhud is as if a person
- is not influenced by worldly life. H.
- That is common everywhere. So if he is
- a worker, a what we call an employee,
- once he gets his wages, then when he
- returns home, what he brings is only
- enough for his house needs. Where does
- the rest go?
- It's not used here.
- It is given to others, so the other
- needs of the family are not met. Well,
- most people's understanding of zuhud is
- like that. But if we look at the
- practice in the time of the Prophet and
- the companions, the zuhud experienced
- by Uthman bin Affan was not like that.
- Yes. Yes, Uthman bin Affan was famous
- for being very wealthy. If he were not
- wealthy, he might not be called zuhud,
- but he was indeed ascetic.
- H.
- So, the definition of zuhud that I read
- in the book Az-Zuhd
- compiled by Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal is
- that they place the world not in their
- hearts. So, the world is only placed in
- their hands, meaning if there's a need,
- it is spent. Because if it's in the
- heart, it will constantly occupy your
- thoughts. Now, that is the definition
- of zuhud. It means they obtain wealth
- according to their rights. That wealth
- is then spent. Whether it's for zakat,
- charity, or alms. Then they take care
- of their family. Don't let their family
- go without.
- That is what Allah mentioned in Surah
- Al-Furqan, namely," walladzina idza
- anfaqu lam yusrifu walam yaqturu wa
- kana baina dzalika qawama. "Yeah.
- So, the servants of the Most Gracious,
- when they spend their wealth, are
- neither extravagant nor stingy.
- Yeah.
- Just enough, you know.
- Yeah. So," baina dzalika "means being
- in the middle ground. Right.
- So, for example like this. If a stingy
- person, it's very hard for them to
- spend anything.
- Yeah.
- Not extravagant. If there is a person
- with 1,000 or 100,000 rupiah, and
- someone is in need, don't give the
- whole 100,000 until you have nothing
- left for yourself or your own children.
- Well, this shouldn't happen. So, be on
- the middle ground. Right.
- So, those are among the people who
- practice zuhud, not letting themselves
- be controlled by their wealth. Instead,
- they are the ones who control their
- wealth. That's it.
- Yes. Next, another question from
- 0822922 etc. no name provided.
- Assalamu'alaikum, Ustadz.
- Wa'alaikumussalam.
- Did Qais pass away during a war or did
- he pass away due to old age, Ustadz?
- Well, according to historical records,
- he passed away in the year 9.
- Yeah.
- Yes, due to old age.
- Because of old age.
- He was elderly, right? Yeah.
- Not in a war, right?
- No.
- Because he lived a very long life,
- Ustadz, right? Yes.
- Witnessing four eras, the era of the
- Prophet and the era of the other
- companions as well.
- Yes. He even participated in the
- inauguration of his son, Ali's son,
- Hasan.
- Hasan also participated.
- Even when Hasan handed over leadership
- to Muawiyah, initially he wasn't happy
- with Muawiyah. He said," My leader has
- accepted it. "How could I disagree?
- Because Hasan was the one appointed by
- the Muslims and given the pledge of
- allegiance by the Muslims in Mecca.
- Yeah.
- Meanwhile, those in the north appointed
- Muawiyah. Right. Now, Hasan handed over
- leadership to Muawiyah because it is
- not
- halal or legitimate. To have two
- leaders at the same time. So Hasan
- handed over leadership to Muawiyah.
- This event is called' Amul Jama'ah,
- the year of unity. Now, Qais bin Sa'ad,
- who was initially a bit hesitant
- regarding Muawiyah. Now he says," My
- leader has already agreed, so why
- should I resist? "So from then on, his
- heart softened, as there was no longer
- a clash since his leader had already
- agreed. Even though back in the time of
- Hasan's father, Ali,
- there was a war between Ali and
- Muawiyah, known as the Battle of Siffin
- . Then between Ali and the Khawarij
- group, known as the Battle of Nahrawan.
- Then between Ali and Aisha, which is
- called the Battle of the Camel. War
- after war. Just imagine,
- fellow Muslims.
- Fellow Muslims. Hasan did not want to
- inherit endless old wars
- because the Muslims had already
- suffered so many wounds. He thought,"
- Let's just make peace. "He felt it was
- better
- to unite fellow Muslims. Subhanallah.
- Yes, indeed.
- Right, back to the next question from
- Mrs. Rita in Bogor. Peace be upon you,
- and Allah's mercy and blessings.
- And peace be upon you too, Mrs. Rita.
- Uh, Who did Qis learn intelligence from
- , Ustadz? Was it from the Prophet? Yes.
- And what were the major things Qis
- achieved with those skills?
- Qis actually became an intelligence
- expert from his ancestors,
- heh.
- From his parents, yes. Because,
- when he entered Islam, he was actually
- about to do something harmful to Islam.
- But once the Prophet recited the verse
- and he heard it, he gave up his
- intention. That was the chapter Fatir
- mentioned earlier. Wala yahiqul makrusu
- illa biahlih. Eventually, he pulled
- back and repented to Allah Subhanahu wa
- Ta'ala. Now, what was that high
- reputation earlier? Well, back in the
- time of Ali and Muawiyah, he was about
- to trigger something planned. But
- because he was obedient to Allah and
- His Messenger, it didn't happen. If
- that had happened, there would have
- been many more victims.
- So, it means
- there was a good intention to stop him
- from continuing his evil plans.
- Because if that evil act were carried
- out, his followers would surely follow
- too. Wow. With that, he suppressed it,
- he controlled it so that a bigger
- disaster didn't happen. That is all.
- He is a very cautious person, isn't he?
- Oh, yes.
- Okay. Right. Next, a question without a
- name from a servant of Allah. Peace be
- upon you, and Allah's mercy and
- blessings, Ustadz Komudin Basyuni.
- Yes.
- You were discussing beards earlier.
- What is the virtue of having a beard
- for Muslims? Why do non-Muslims view
- bearded Muslims negatively? Even though
- many non-Muslims, even Jewish people,
- have beards.
- Oh, yes. Yes. It is an identity of a
- Muslim to have a beard, yes. But if you
- don't have one, don't force it. That's
- just how it is. Wanting a beard until
- adding fake ones and sticking them on.
- No need for that. Just be yourself.
- It's funny. I saw my photo, suddenly it
- had a beard from
- the sideburns.
- Sideburns going down and up. Who added
- a beard to me? I never made one. Turns
- out I found the person. I called them
- and asked why my face was full of a
- beard. They said," Ustadz, that was
- just a joke. "How could it be like that
- ? There is a trick to it, they said. So
- , when taking a photo,
- there is an app for it.
- A special app where we can make it in
- various ways. In the end, I was taught,
- and finally, I could do it too. Oh, my
- beard looks a bit uneven. Thick.
- It became thick. It could even get this
- long
- down to my navel.
- Well, that's just a manipulation, but
- once it's photographed, people won't
- know it's a manipulation, right?
- It looks so real.
- It looks so real.
- But in reality, it's not.
- I once experienced this with one of the
- Rasil crew members. As soon as he
- arrived, the image appeared. Whoa, why
- does he have a beard? The voice is his,
- but I know his face, why would his face
- look like this? When I called him, what
- did he say? Oh, that was just a
- manipulation. There you go.
- Yes, that's it.
- Alright, one more question from someone
- who didn't state their name. Peace be
- upon you, Ustaz Apuan, asking off-topic
- :" Is there a story about the Prophet
- visiting the funeral of a non-Muslim? "
- What is our etiquette if a non-Muslim
- passes away? Are we allowed to pay our
- respects, Ustaz? Please enlighten us,
- Ustaz.
- Well, as far as I know, the Prophet
- once saw a group of Jews who were about
- to be buried. There were companions
- sitting there.
- Yeah.
- The Prophet said," Why are you sitting?
- "" They are non-Muslims who passed away
- . "The Prophet said," Respect them,
- they are human too. "
- It means, stand up for them.
- Respect them. It means
- in terms of humanity, we have morals.
- Yes. If a non-Muslim passes away, how
- can we not show our condolences as
- their neighbors? What we need to do,
- without violating sharia, is help with
- the general needs, like providing tools
- or helping dig the grave. That is
- called ukhuwah basyariah, human
- fraternity.
- Now, once it's been dug and so on, if
- they want to perform their own rituals,
- that's their business. But as human
- beings, and not to sever ties, we are
- allowed to help. The important thing is
- we always act well and have good
- intentions. What is forbidden is if
- they
- are worshipping,
- participating in their worship. That's
- why there is a verse in Surah
- Al-Mumtahanah, verse 8. La
- yanhakumullah
- anilladina lam yuqotilukum. Allah does
- not forbid you from being kind to those
- who do not fight you or expel you. You
- may do good. What you are not allowed
- to do is help those who expel you and
- hate goodness. That's it. But if they
- don't, you may do good. It can be seen
- in Surah Al-Mumtahanah. Yes,
- that is it.
- In terms of humanity, helping one
- another is actually encouraged; helping
- in human affairs.
- It is encouraged. Alright, I was just
- about to say goodbye, but another
- WhatsApp came in from a servant of
- Allah, Ustaz. It's off-topic, but it's
- okay, I'll read it.
- Go ahead.
- This is in Jakarta, someone wants to
- ask a question off-topic. If a person
- gets pregnant out of wedlock and is
- then married, people say after giving
- birth they must be married again. Is
- that true, Ustaz? Is it like that,
- Ustaz?
- Yes, that is a matter of fiqh. Uh, it
- means issues where the scholars
- have differences of opinion. Some say
- it is allowed to be remembered, allowed
- to be married. Some say do not. Wait
- until she has given birth. There are
- those like Imam Ahmad who hold that
- view. But Imam Syafi'i says it is not
- allowed. It is allowed to be married.
- There is a book, uh, I have that book
- compiled by Professor Mahmud Yunus.
- Uh-huh.
- Because many problems occur among the
- Muslim community. So an analogy or
- qiyas is taken. If someone steals a
- tree, a mango tree or something else,
- and gets caught,
- then they mentally decide to replace it
- , the one who took the fruit tree. How
- about I just buy it? It is allowed. It
- is allowed. Well,
- taking, uh, legal events like this. So
- one of the madhab imams says it is
- allowed. So many among them proceed
- with the marriage.
- Uh-huh.
- Like that. In the issue of ikhtilaf,
- that's what it's called. But there are
- those who say it is not allowed until,
- or even if it is allowed, only after
- she has given birth; some hold that
- opinion. That is called ikhtilaf.
- Ikhtilaf, yes.
- Uh-huh.
- Each has their own evidence, right?
- They have their evidence.
- Alright Ustaz, time is running out,
- perhaps there is something else to
- convey?
- Enough.
- Enough, yes. Alright, thank you Ustaz
- for the knowledge, for the story of the
- companion Qais bin Sa'ad bin Ubadah.
- Uh-huh.
- Which you explained so detailedly
- earlier. Hopefully, what has been
- conveyed can broaden our horizons and
- also inspire us to continue loving
- Allah, His Messenger, and also His
- companions. Alright, uh, for those who
- joined via WhatsApp and sent in
- questions, thank you, hopefully what
- was conveyed can increase our religious
- knowledge. I, Oni, and also Anis, bid
- you farewell. Subhanakallahumma
- wabihamdika asyhadu alla ilaha illa
- anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik.
- Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam. Uh-huh.
