0:15 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 0:16 , the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, 0:18 and Allah's mercy and blessings. O 0:20 Allah, send prayers upon our master 0:21 Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. 0:23 Praise be to God, we meet again this 0:24 morning at the residence of Ustaz Husin 0:26 Alatas. We are going to have a 0:28 discussion. Okay, here we have Ustaz 0:31 Husin Alatas, Ustaz Hamzah Latos, and 0:34 Uncle Firman. We received or received a 0:41 WhatsApp from Mr. Mustafa Babat. This 0:45 is what needs to be discussed. He is 0:49 questioning whether the Quran and 0:51 science are contradictory? Because, for 0:55 example, it is said in Surah 0:57 Adh-Dhariyat verse 49 that God created 1:01 everything in pairs, but it turns out 1:04 there are creatures that are not paired 1:08 . For example, hermaphrodites, fungi, 1:12 viruses, trees. Now, that and others, 1:15 for instance the mixing of milk and 1:18 blood, and so on; later it will be read 1:20 by Uncle Firman what exactly needs to 1:22 be discussed regarding the Quran and 1:25 science. Alright friends, let us begin 1:28 this event by reciting Al-Fatihah. 1:31 I seek refuge in Allah from the 1:33 accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, 1:39 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1:45 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the 1:48 worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most 1:53 Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment 1:58 . You alone we worship, and You alone 2:02 we ask for help. Guide us to the 2:09 straight path. The path of those upon 2:16 whom You have bestowed favor, not of 2:18 those who have evoked [Your] anger or 2:21 of those who are astray. 2:29 Amen. Yes, we have read Al-Fatihah. 2:31 Hopefully, with this Al-Fatihah, Allah 2:34 will make it easy for us to understand 2:36 what is conveyed by the Quran through 2:38 the explanation of Ustaz Husein Alatas. 2:41 Alright, is it possible for the Quran 2:44 to contradict science? Because there 2:47 are questions from our colleague, 2:49 Mustafa Babat. Please, Uncle Firman, 2:52 read the questions. 2:53 Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 2:55 and blessings, Ustaz Husein, Ustaz 2:56 Hamzah, Mas Krishna. Well, on social 2:59 media yesterday, we had received 3:02 questions from several parties 3:04 regarding the Quran and science. Which 3:08 one should we believe? He argues that 3:12 the truth of the Quran cannot be proven 3:15 100%. The truth of the Quran that is 3:19 considered 100%is only for people who 3:24 do not want to think, Ustaz. 3:26 Because if asked again, "Is the Quran 3:29 100%true?" Yes, the proof is that it is 3:31 written, he says. Whereas if proven, it 3:34 is not. He takes an example from Surah 3:38 Adh-Dhariyat, Ustaz, verse 49, which 3:41 states that God created everything in 3:44 pairs. So, he has collected several 3:47 verses of the Quran that, according to 3:49 him, are not in accordance with science 3:50 . Like Surah Adh-Dhariyat verse 49, 3:54 where it is mentioned that God created 3:56 everything in pairs. In his opinion, 3:58 many creatures are not paired. For 4:00 example, hermaphrodite animals that do 4:03 not have a clear sex. Amoebas, bacteria 4:06 , fungi, viruses, and trees. According 4:10 to him, these creatures are 4:12 inconsistent with what is in the Quran. 4:16 Then other verses, such as in Surah 4:18 Al-Imran verse 59, humans were created 4:21 from clay. According to him, humans are 4:24 the result of the development of 4:26 simpler animals through a process of 4:28 evolution over billions of years. 4:30 Perhaps there are also accelerated 4:33 processes in evolution, but not 4:35 directly from soil. It is very strange 4:37 if we find it difficult to accept the 4:39 creation of humans through evolution 4:41 that takes millions of years, but can 4:43 easily accept the process of creation 4:45 from soil. Maybe that is those two for 4:47 now, Ustaz. We will continue with the 4:49 rest later, Ustaz. 4:50 I seek refuge in Allah from the 4:51 accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, 4:53 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 4:56 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all 4:58 worlds, praise that is abundant, good, 5:00 and blessed, as He loves. O our Lord, 5:06 all praise is Yours, as it befits the 5:08 majesty of Your face and the greatness 5:10 of Your dominion. Glory be to You, we 5:14 cannot enumerate Your praises, You are 5:16 as You have praised Yourself. To You is 5:20 all praise until You are pleased, and 5:21 to You is all praise when You are 5:23 pleased. And to You is all praise after 5:25 being pleased. O Allah, send prayers, 5:29 peace, and blessings upon Your servant 5:31 and messenger, our master and prophet 5:34 Muhammad, and upon his family and 5:36 companions. Glory be to You, we have no 5:41 knowledge except what You have taught 5:43 us; You are the All-Knowing, the 5:44 All-Wise, and there is no power nor 5:46 strength except with Allah, the Most 5:47 High, the Almighty. O Allah, grant us 5:50 mercy from Yourself, and bestow upon us 5:52 from Your side beneficial knowledge, 5:53 and grant us success in practicing what 5:55 You have taught us. Our Lord, increase 5:58 us in knowledge and join us with the 5:59 righteous. To proceed. Brothers and 6:03 sisters, listeners and viewers of 6:05 Silaturahim Radio and TV, may you be 6:08 blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 6:12 Ustaz Hamzah bin Atas Alattas, Ustaz 6:15 Muhammad Krisna. Likewise our brother 6:20 Iman Muslim Putrajaya Meza, the entire 6:24 Rasil family, all the staff in the 6:27 studio, all Muslim men and women, and 6:31 the entire human family, servants of 6:36 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala who are 6:38 currently facing a trial. May Allah 6:42 Subhanahu wa ta'ala help us to succeed 6:45 in this trial by truly being grateful 6:48 for the blessings He has bestowed upon 6:51 us, and by serving Him with our entire 6:54 lives. And may Allah forgive our sins 6:57 and mistakes, place us on the straight 7:02 path, end our lives in a good state ( 7:05 husnul khatimah), and gather us with 7:07 His beloved ones. Amen, O Lord of the 7:10 worlds. May the peace, mercy, and 7:12 blessings of Allah be upon you all. 7:17 Earlier we heard a question or inquiry 7:24 posed by our brother 7:29 Mustofa Husein. I do not know him 7:32 personally, really. I only began to 7:37 know him when he raised questions and 7:40 doubts surrounding the Qur'an. And he 7:45 asked the question, which one must we 7:47 follow? The Qur'an or science? 7:53 Apparently, he is a scientist and quite 7:55 proud of his knowledge. And we need to 7:58 remind him that the knowledge he 8:00 possesses is a gift and grace from 8:02 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. So, if the 8:06 little knowledge one has is used to 8:10 challenge Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 8:13 this is an arrogance and pride that we 8:16 must truly realize, and we must be 8:21 respectful before Allah Subhanahu wa 8:23 ta'ala, the Creator of the heavens and 8:25 the earth. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 8:31 taught science to His creatures not to 8:34 be used for opposition, but Allah wants 8:37 to introduce His servants to Himself, 8:39 to His oneness and His power, and 8:41 invites His servants to be grateful for 8:44 the blessings He has bestowed upon them 8:47 . I will not attack the person of 8:51 Mustafa Husein Babat, but I will answer 8:54 or attempt to answer the doubts he 8:57 raised with polite language, without 9:00 using inappropriate words. And this is 9:05 the character taught by Allah Subhanahu 9:07 wa ta'ala to His prophets and 9:08 messengers. Is it possible for there to 9:14 be a conflict or dichotomy between the 9:16 Qur'an and science? Allah Subhanahu wa 9:20 ta'ala answers in Surah Ar-Rahman, in 9:22 the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, 9:24 the Most Merciful. The Most Gracious; 9:27 it is He who taught the Qur'an, created 9:29 man, and taught him eloquence. 9:33 Ar-Rahman. Our Lord, who is the Most 9:36 Gracious, the Most Merciful, who has 9:39 showered us with infinite grace, bounty 9:42 , and blessings. He is the one who 9:45 directly taught the Qur'an. Not the 9:48 Messenger. The Messenger only conveys. 9:52 But the Most Gracious, Ar-Rahman, is 9:54 the One who directly teaches us the 9:57 Quran. Khalaqal insan, and He is also 10:01 the One who created the creature called 10:04 human, which is all of us. Including 10:08 science, the knowledge we possess is 10:11 all a teaching from Allah Subhanahu wa 10:14 ta'ala. Alamahul bayan. And He is also 10:20 the One who teaches and bestows 10:23 intelligence upon humans so they can 10:25 research, uncover, and reveal the 10:28 secrets of nature. That is all a 10:30 teaching from Allah. Allah uses the 10:33 word al-bayan here. And this is what 10:40 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala taught our 10:42 forefather Adam alaihissalam. Wa ' 10:47 allama Adamal asma'a kullaha, thumma' 10:50 aradahum 'alal-mala'ikati faqala 10:52 anbi'uni bi'asma'i ha'ula'in in kuntum 10:54 shadiqin. Allah taught the names 11:00 entirely to Adam. The names here imply 11:05 knowledge, including science, which 11:09 also relies on names, formulas, and so 11:12 on. Allah implanted this potential in 11:16 Adam. Then Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 11:19 posed a question to the angels 11:24 regarding things that Allah taught Adam 11:26 and did not teach the angels. Because 11:29 the characters of angels and humans are 11:30 different. When Allah asked questions 11:36 about several things, it turned out the 11:38 angels could not answer, with full adab 11:41 . They said, "Subhanaka la' ilma lana 11:43 illa ma 'allamtana innaka antal' alimul 11:46 hakim." Our forefather appeared to 11:49 answer Allah's questions one by one. 11:52 This is an advantage possessed by the 11:54 children of man. So, what did Allah 11:56 teach Adam? Allah also teaches his 11:58 descendants. So, knowledge, the 12:01 knowledge humans have comes from Allah. 12:05 The Quran was also revealed by Allah. 12:08 Humans were created by Allah. Could 12:10 there possibly be a contradiction 12:11 between these three things? Impossible. 12:15 Unless these three things come from 12:18 different sources. Right? If, for 12:23 example, someone owns a Toyota vehicle, 12:26 then when it's time for service, where 12:28 is it taken? To a Mercedes or a 12:31 Mercedes workshop, they won't match. 12:33 Right? It must be taken to Toyota as 12:35 well because both originate from 12:39 different sources. Now, humans were 12:42 created by Allah, the Quran was taught 12:44 by Allah, and the knowledge itself was 12:46 bestowed by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 12:48 How could there possibly be a conflict? 12:52 Therefore, we as humans should be 12:55 polite before Allah, not boast about 12:58 our knowledge. Even though it is 13:02 something very small. Wa utituminal ' 13:04 ilmi illa qila. And Allah tells us what 13:08 caused the destruction of past nations. 13:11 When the messengers came bringing 13:13 Allah's verses. Farihu bima' indahum 13:16 minal 'ilm. They were proud of the 13:19 knowledge they possessed, according to 13:22 what? According to the realm of science 13:24 . At that time. Let's look at Einstein. 13:30 Einstein, at first, when he expressed 13:34 his genius, how proud he was so proud 13:41 with the results of his research. But 13:44 at the end of his life, he found the 13:47 true reality. It turned out his 13:50 knowledge was relative, not absolute, 13:52 definite, and certain. Now, this 13:56 relativity of Einstein is what finally 13:59 opened insights for scientists later on 14:01 to develop even further. They respect 14:06 Einstein as the father of science, but 14:08 Einstein reminded them not to stop at 14:11 his discoveries. Well, human knowledge 14:15 continues to evolve. Meanwhile, the 14:18 knowledge of Allah Subhanahu wa taala 14:20 is different from our knowledge. 14:23 Therefore, when we read the verses of 14:25 Allah, let us not interpret them 14:27 according to what? Our previous 14:31 perceptions or adjust them to fit 14:33 science. We should study science for 14:38 what purpose? To be able to uncover the 14:40 secrets of Allah's greatness and 14:42 majesty. Not to be pitted against the 14:43 knowledge of Allah. Because modern 14:46 science, we know, is discovered after 14:50 what? After conducting research on the 14:53 laws of Allah in the heavens and on 14:55 earth, on natural norms. For example, 14:57 the birth of physics, biology, geology; 15:00 before these sciences existed, the 15:02 phenomena were already in the universe. 15:05 Is that correct? It does not precede 15:07 what? Precede what? Precede. So, these 15:12 sciences do not precede these phenomena 15:15 ; rather, these phenomena give birth to 15:17 various kinds of knowledge, the order 15:19 that exists in the human body, in the 15:22 animal kingdom, in the realm of what? 15:25 In the plant kingdom, and likewise in 15:26 the realm of astronomy. From research 15:30 spanning thousands of years, humans 15:33 have discovered true realities. But 15:37 even that has not reached the level of 15:40 perfection; it is still undergoing 15:42 refinement. Therefore, the reference 15:45 books used by, say, internists, 15:48 neurologists, psychiatrists, 15:50 nephrologists, or cardiologists, 15:53 subhanallah, continue to be refined 15:55 from time to time. What is considered 15:59 this year as what? As a final discovery 16:02 , it turns out to be the beginning that 16:04 gives birth to discovery after 16:06 discovery, leading to the development 16:09 of knowledge. So, it is impossible, 16:11 truly impossible, for a clash to occur 16:15 between the Quran and science, provided 16:18 the science is correct and the 16:19 understanding of the Quran is also 16:21 correct. 16:23 Because clashes occur due to two things 16:27 . One, because of an incorrect 16:29 understanding of the Quran or the 16:31 scientific discovery is not yet perfect 16:33 . The scientific discovery is not yet 16:39 final. So, if at a glance there appears 16:42 to be a conflict between the Quran and 16:45 science, it is caused by human 16:47 superficiality. Now, we will try to 16:50 answer them one by one. The first 16:54 relates to what? To plants. Allah 17:00 Subhanahu wa taala says in Surah 17:03 Az-Zariyat, "Wamin kulli saiin khalaqna 17:06 zaujaini la'allakum tadakkarun.""And of 17:11 all things We have created pairs, that 17:13 you may remember." These pairs, 17:18 subhanallah, we know that even in China 17:21 , starting thousands of years ago, they 17:23 spoke about Yin and Yang. The pair of 17:27 Yin and 17:28 and Yang, starting even before what? 17:32 Before humans knew civilization. This 17:36 means we find this balance in the 17:39 universe so beautifully. Wasamaaha waal 17:43 mizan all mizan waqimul wazna bilqisti 17:46 wala tukhsirul mizan. It is not only 17:51 found in the plant kingdom, not only in 17:53 the animal kingdom or the human realm. 17:56 We even witness that clouds are paired. 18:00 Some carry a positive charge, and also 18:02 carry a negative charge. Watch this 18:05 light turn on because of what? 18:08 Because of the positive current and 18:09 what? 18:10 Negative. 18:11 Negative, which are brought together in 18:12 a proper way. It means there is no 18:14 short circuit because it undergoes a 18:16 lawful marriage. 18:18 Yeah. Undergoes a marriage that 18:19 is lawful. But if the marriage is not 18:21 lawful, then what? 18:22 Short 18:23 circuit. Hence Allah says, "Hualladzi 18:28 yursilur riyaha lawaqiha." He who sends 18:31 the winds for what? To hold a wedding 18:35 ceremony. Clouds with positive and 18:38 negative charges meet to create 18:40 lightning, then rain falls after that. 18:44 Likewise with plants, how the wind 18:47 pollinates between the pistil and the 18:51 stamen. One is positive, the other is 18:55 negative. Later, Ustaz Hamzah will, God 18:57 willing, speak about this in more 18:58 detail. In fact, we can return to the 19:02 basics that everything returns to what? 19:09 To atomic structures, right? The atoms 19:12 themselves are paired. There are 19:14 protons, there are electrons. Is that 19:17 right? Now, if everything is composed 19:21 of atoms as scientists say, and the 19:26 atoms are in a paired state, it does 19:28 not contradict the verses of the Qur'an 19:30 . Is that correct or not? 19:32 In Surah Yasin, Allah says, " 19:34 Subhanalladzi khalaqal azwaja kullaha 19:37 mimma tumbitul ardu wamin anfusihim 19:40 wamimma la yamun." Glory be to Allah 19:44 who has what? Created everything in 19:47 pairs from the vegetation of the earth 19:52 including from themselves, yes. Wamima 19:56 la ya'lamun, and from many things they 19:59 do not know or they see as if it is 20:02 hermaphroditic, when in fact it is 20:04 paired. 20:06 Now, if a flower has both a pistil and 20:09 stamen, what does it mean? Problematic. 20:12 Yes. The same goes for types of animals 20:16 capable of giving birth even without 20:18 being fertilized by what? By another. 20:21 Because it has what? Dual traits. It is 20:23 capable of fertilizing itself. For 20:25 example, cloning. If it's cloning. 20:28 Don't think of cloning when taking what 20:31 ? When taking its stem cells, it does 20:34 not go through that process at all. 20:37 Through the same process, not natural 20:39 fertilization like that experienced by 20:42 what? By a husband and wife who have 20:45 intercourse, but it also goes through 20:47 fertilization. If not, it will not 20:49 produce any at all. Life. It’s just 20:51 that the process is not done following 20:54 the process determined by Allah 20:55 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, but through a 20:58 manual human intervention process. 21:00 Therefore, the result is also different 21:01 . Cloned animals do not live long, also 21:06 experience disorders, and are unable to 21:08 survive in the environment as created 21:10 by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. So if we 21:16 pay attention together, just as Allah 21:18 explained earlier regarding the 21:21 vegetation of the earth, themselves, 21:23 and animals, including things they do 21:26 not yet know. Now, we want to ask, what 21:31 is the purpose of Allah explaining that 21:35 everything is created in pairs? The 21:40 purpose is to assert that Allah is the 21:43 One God who does not need anything. 21:46 H 21:47 does not depend on anything, and has no 21:49 partner. So when Allah explains that 21:53 His creatures are created in pairs, we 21:55 should not understand it in a narrow 21:58 sense, 21:59 but it explains that creatures created 22:02 in pairs are full of attachments and 22:04 need one another. Unlike Allah, who is 22:07 the One. Exalted is He who created all 22:10 pairs from that which the earth grows, 22:13 from themselves, and from that which 22:15 they do not know. And what did Allah 22:18 say? He affirmed this in the form of a 22:21 testimony. Allah bears witness. Allah 22:24 testifies that there is no god but Him. 22:26 There is no deity worthy of worship 22:27 except Allah. So, Exalted is He who 22:30 created all pairs from that which the 22:31 earth grows, from themselves, and from 22:33 that which they do not know. If we were 22:37 to reflect properly, we would truly 22:40 find that Allah created this universe 22:43 in pairs. Even biologists acknowledge 22:47 this. Therefore, to Mr. Mustofa Husein 22:52 Baba, please try to read more about 22:55 various discoveries and the statements 22:58 of biologists regarding this matter. Do 23:01 not 23:03 feel content with the knowledge we 23:05 currently possess. But try to open 23:08 yourself, open your heart to see the 23:10 truth. Do not look at the Quran with 23:13 cynicism, yes. with a cynical attitude 23:16 beforehand. Then you provide incomplete 23:21 judgments, and in understanding verses, 23:24 you should not understand them in 23:27 fragments. Then the second, the second 23:34 doubt raised by brother Mustofa Husein 23:38 Baba is that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 23:43 created humans from soil. Whereas 23:46 according to Mustofa Husein Baba, 23:48 humans are actually what? 23:50 The result of evolution. 23:51 The result of evolution from simple 23:54 creatures until reaching what currently 23:56 exists over millions of years. What is 24:02 stated by Mr. Mustofa Husein Baba 24:03 actually requires argumentation and 24:05 evidence. Apparently, he believes in 24:10 what is believed by the evolutionists 24:14 such as Darwin's theory and his 24:16 followers. Whereas Darwin's theory has 24:20 been proven bankrupt. It has been 24:24 proven 24:25 bankrupt. 24:25 Its bankruptcy. The facts presented as 24:29 evidence are merely proof that cannot 24:32 be verified at all and are completely 24:35 untested. But if Mr. Mustofa wants to 24:41 claim that he is an evolved creature, 24:44 we have no objection at all in this 24:47 matter. We just want to answer the 24:51 doubts regarding the Quran that this is 24:54 not true. It is completely untrue. Now, 25:01 if you do not understand the meaning of 25:03 the Quran, we will read it here. When 25:07 Allah says, for example, "The example 25:09 of Jesus""is like that of Adam. He 25:14 created him from dust, then said to him 25:16 ,' Be, 'and he was." Indeed, the 25:19 likeness of Jesus in the sight of Allah 25:22 comes from dust, from soil. Then Allah 25:26 said to him, "Be, and it was." You must 25:30 understand, yes, that this is what? It 25:34 is a depiction of the will of Allah 25:36 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Jesus as a prophet 25:39 , a messenger, Allah Subhanahu wa 25:41 ta'ala created without the process of 25:44 intercourse between a man and a woman. 25:48 Without the process of intercourse 25:49 between a man and a woman. His origin 25:51 is no different from the origin of 25:53 other humans. Also what? Created from 25:59 the same origin. It is just that Allah 26:03 wants to show His miracle to us all, 26:06 just as humans were created initially 26:09 from what? From what? from a condition 26:14 that was not born from the result of a 26:17 pair, but Allah directly created him 26:19 from soil. Then Allah also shows us His 26:23 power, that this law does not bind 26:26 Allah. Is Allah also capable of 26:29 creating Isa, peace be upon him, 26:31 without what? Without a father through 26:34 a woman, but still through a process. 26:37 Because it is through what? Through a 26:39 gradual pregnancy. Yes, a pregnancy 26:41 just like a woman who is pregnant. Yes, 26:44 as for the illustration of Allah's 26:45 command, kun fayakun does not mean it 26:47 happens in an instant, but what does it 26:48 mean? Allah created him by His will 26:52 without needing to go through the union 26:54 of husband and wife. Then, to make it 26:58 even clearer, the process of human 27:00 creation is explained by Allah in many 27:02 Quranic verses. Allah says, "Alladzi 27:08 ahsana kulla syaaiin khalaqo." This is 27:12 verse 7 of Surah As-Sajdah. Mr. Mustofa 27:15 can check the Quran. He is the One who 27:18 has beautified, perfected everything 27:20 that He created. Wabada'a khalqal 27:24 insani min teen. Then Allah began the 27:28 creation of the first human, our 27:31 grandparents. Not us, but beginning the 27:35 creation of the first human, our 27:38 grandparents, from from what? From clay 27:44 . So Allah began the creation of our 27:47 grandparents from clay. As for the Old 27:51 Testament version in the book of 27:53 Genesis which mentions that our 27:55 grandmother was created from a rib, 27:57 that is completely untrue and aims to 27:59 degrade the dignity of women. Which We 28:07 then made their descendants to multiply 28:10 from the essence of soil. Then We 28:13 created sperm. In verse 12 of Surah 28:17 Al-Mu'minun, Allah confirms this. 28:20 Walaqad khalaqnal insana min sulalatin 28:22 min teen. Indeed, We have created man, 28:28 and his descendants to multiply, min 28:31 sulalatin min teen, from the essence of 28:34 soil. What does that mean? Our parents 28:37 eat from the plants of the earth and 28:40 also from animals that consume the 28:42 plants of the earth. From all of this, 28:46 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala creates sperm 28:49 . In women, Allah creates an egg, from 28:53 which fertilization is born. The egg 28:56 that is in a woman, the sperm that is 28:58 in a man, all come from these essences. 29:02 And this is in accordance with 29:03 scientific facts, Mr. Mustofa. Unless 29:07 you deny the facts of modern science 29:11 that explain this. That the birth of 29:15 sperm or eggs comes from where? From 29:18 the daily food consumed by humans. And 29:21 that daily food comes from the earth. 29:25 Min sulalatin min teen. As for the 29:29 Quranic expression that says inna 29:31 matsalu isa' indallahi kamatsali adama 29:33 khalaqahu min turabin tsumma qala lahu 29:35 kun fayakun. It does not mean Allah 29:39 Subhanahu wa ta'ala created Isa 29:41 directly from soil, but through a 29:43 process of growth and development just 29:45 as it happens to what? To children in 29:49 their mother's womb. Until the time of 29:51 birth arrived, Isa the son of Maryam 29:54 was born. He is not what? He is not an 29:58 incarnation of God, but he is the same 30:01 creature that Allah created just like 30:05 other creatures. Tsumma ja'ala naslahu 30:10 min sulalatin min ma'in mahin tsumma 30:12 sawwahu. After Allah Subhanahu wa 30:16 ta'ala creates the sperm, it then meets 30:19 the egg in the womb. After that, Allah 30:22 Subhanahu wa ta'ala gradually perfects 30:24 the human until they become a complete 30:26 human being. Then wanafakha fihi min 30:30 ruhi, Allah blows the spirit of life 30:32 into the child's body. Just as Allah 30:36 blew the spirit of life into our 30:37 grandparents after forming their bodies 30:39 directly from the soil. Wa ja'ala 30:43 lakumus sam'a wal abshara wal af'idah. 30:46 After that, Allah bestowed upon you 30:48 sight, hearing, and what else? Allah 30:52 gave you hearts, gave you minds so that 30:55 what? So that you are grateful to Allah 30:58 for the blessings that Allah has given 31:00 you. Qolilam ma taskurun. But very few 31:04 among you are grateful for Allah's 31:06 blessings; instead, you boast about 31:08 those blessings, including the 31:09 knowledge that Allah has taught you. So 31:13 , the various explanations in the 31:15 Qur'an clarify that the first human, 31:18 our grandfather and grandmother, were 31:20 created directly from soil, and their 31:23 descendants, whether coming from the 31:25 fertilization of husband and wife or 31:28 Jesus from only a mother without a 31:30 fertilization process. Yes, Allah 31:34 created them in the same way as other 31:38 creatures. Everything shows that they 31:42 are creatures created by Allah 31:44 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. As for the stages 31:48 and processes, it depends on the will 31:49 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Whether 31:51 Allah created them directly from soil? 31:54 Whether through the stage of marital 31:56 relations first or not. Because even 32:00 though Sayyidah Maryam gave birth 32:02 without a man, we must not forget that 32:04 within Maryam there was not only what? 32:06 Female DNA, there was also what? 32:09 Male DNA stored in what? In the DNA 32:12 dictionary present in Maryam. Therefore 32:17 , the progress in the field of cloning 32:20 today actually explains to us many 32:22 truths. Although we do not approve of 32:26 cloning, this human discovery actually 32:28 uncovers and reveals the secrets, the 32:30 greatness, and the majesty of Allah 32:31 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Proving that 32:36 humans were all created in pairs. The 32:43 only One who is not paired is Allah 32:44 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. He is the pillar 32:47 supporting all life in the heavens and 32:50 on earth. He is the source of life who 32:52 bestows life upon His creatures. When 32:55 the time comes, Allah Subhanahu wa 32:57 ta'ala will withdraw that life. May 33:01 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala open our 33:03 hearts to accept the truth and not be 33:06 arrogant before Allah Subhanahu wa 33:08 ta'ala who bestows knowledge upon us 33:11 all. Ustaz Hamzah, God willing, will 33:13 complete this. Please. 33:14 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 33:15 , the Most Merciful. O Allah, send 33:16 blessings and peace upon our master 33:17 Muhammad and upon the family of our 33:19 master Muhammad. Glory be to You, we 33:21 have no knowledge except what You have 33:22 taught us; indeed, You are the 33:23 All-Knowing, the All-Wise. O our Lord, 33:25 increase us in knowledge. O our Lord, 33:29 do not let our hearts deviate after You 33:31 have guided us, and grant us mercy. 33:34 Indeed, You are the Bestower. O my Lord 33:36 , expand for me my chest, ease for me 33:38 my task, and untie the knot from my 33:39 tongue so that they may understand my 33:41 speech. It is already very clear from 33:46 the explanation of the Qur'an just 33:49 presented by our teacher Ustaz Husin 33:52 bin Hamid Alatas regarding what became 33:56 the doubt for our brother Mustofa 33:59 Husein Bab'bad. From his initial 34:07 question when asked which one we 34:09 believe in, the Qur'an or science. Now, 34:16 a question like this, of course, must 34:21 be examined first from our faith in the 34:26 Qur'an. If we believe that the Qur'an 34:34 is the word of Allah, the Qur'an is not 34:37 man-made. And we believe that Allah 34:42 Subhanahu wa ta'ala knows all things 34:48 and Allah's knowledge is not limited by 34:52 time and the fact that this Qur'an is 34:56 the knowledge of Allah. A reflection of 35:02 the knowledge of Allah Subhanahu wa 35:04 ta'ala, which Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 35:07 revealed to our Prophet Muhammad 35:09 sallallahu alaihi wasallam as guidance 35:12 for mankind, and where this Qur'an is a 35:18 form of guidance whose reach is not 35:21 limited to the era in which it was 35:23 revealed; that is, the time of the 35:26 Messenger, Muhammad sallallahu alaihi 35:28 wasallam. Because the Qur'an is a 35:33 reflection of Allah's knowledge, and 35:35 Allah's knowledge is not limited by 35:36 time and space. Therefore, our 35:43 perspective toward the Qur'an, if we 35:46 truly believe in it, is certainly 35:48 different. When we read the verses of 35:52 the Qur'an, we do not read them as we 35:58 read books authored by humans. We 36:01 should examine them. Just like 36:06 scientists do when they study natural 36:13 phenomena. Whatever is in this universe 36:16 , they research; they study the 36:18 relationship between one phenomenon and 36:21 another. So that afterwards, they 36:25 conduct experiments. Then, because the 36:29 laws of Allah in this universe are a 36:32 decree that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 36:36 has determined the measure of. Yes, in 36:42 that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has 36:44 declared, "Inna kulla shayin khalaqnahu 36:47 biqadar." Everything Allah Subhanahu wa 36:52 ta'ala created is according to a 36:54 certain measure and provision that 36:57 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has already 36:59 set. Now, when scientists study it, 37:03 they will discover this order. Of 37:07 course, by studying it, not just 37:09 glancing at it like that. These are the 37:11 signs of Allah that exist in nature. 37:14 Likewise, when we read the Qur'an, we 37:17 must be thorough, not just read it 37:19 briefly and then criticize the Qur'an 37:21 for not being in accordance with 37:24 science. Whereas these are two things 37:27 from the same source. What exists in 37:31 this universe comes from Allah 37:33 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, and this Qur'an 37:35 also comes from Allah Subhanahu wa 37:37 ta'ala. For those who are bothered. Yes 37:44 , study it. Indeed, in the Qur'an, 37:47 there are many verses about these ' 37:49 kauniyah' verses, about this universe; 37:51 there are more of them than legal 37:53 verses, up to 1000 verses or more. 37:58 Please study them, reflect on them. Do 38:00 not just read a fragment of a verse; 38:03 read it by comparing it with other 38:06 verses. Then there is a question, is 38:09 this Qur'an specifically for Arabs only 38:11 ? No. Allah says this Qur'an is 'hudan 38:15 linnas'. Guidance for all mankind. 38:19 Whatever is called 'an-nas', humanity, 38:21 this Qur'an is for them. Is it only for 38:25 those who understand Arabic? No. This 38:27 is for, essentially, all human beings. 38:29 This is the language of Allah. The 38:31 language of Allah for His servants. It 38:33 is only that, of course, their 38:35 understanding when interacting with the 38:40 Qur'an varies. So, for example, if a 38:44 scientist studies the Qur'an, studies 38:47 it, and reflects on its verses, 38:50 everything will be found. Because this 38:54 Qur'an and those signs in the universe 39:01 originate from the same source. This is 39:06 important to understand so that when we 39:08 read one verse, we do not then 39:10 disparage the Qur'an. This is dangerous 39:14 because it concerns our faith. What 39:19 must also be understood is our approach 39:23 to the Qur'an when we read it. This 39:26 Qur'an was revealed during a specific 39:29 era, not like today. A time when life 39:32 was so simple during the Prophet's era. 39:37 The Qur'an spoke in the Prophet's time 39:40 in a way that could be understood by 39:42 people living in that era. But as 39:46 civilization developed, the 39:48 understanding of the Qur'an also 39:51 expanded. Yes, it will expand and 39:55 continue to be understood more broadly 39:57 than civilization itself. Even until 40:03 now, there are still things that humans 40:06 do not yet know the true meaning of 40:08 from some verses of the Qur'an, which 40:11 perhaps later along with the 40:18 development of science and technology, 40:20 will be unraveled further. Allah 40:25 Subhanahu wa ta'ala describes how the 40:29 Qur'an truly is, how the enlightenment 40:33 of the Qur'an is, from age to age, 40:37 Allah explains in Surah An-Nur, where 40:41 He likens the Qur'an to, "matsalu 40:47 nurihi" kamishka, yes, "kamishkatin 40:52 fiha". Allah describes that the parable 40:57 of His light from the Qur'an is like a 40:59 niche, meaning a hole that does not go 41:02 through, in which there is a light. 41:06 Almisbahu fi zujajah. Then the light is 41:10 inside a glass. Azzujajatu kaanaha 41:14 kaukun durriyun yuq minajarin 41:17 mubarakatin zaitunat la syarqiya w 41:21 garbiyah. So Allah describes how His 41:25 light is in a niche, a hole that does 41:28 not go through. Then there is a light. 41:32 Then from there, the light will spread 41:35 out. Now, if we observe this verse with 41:39 the phenomenon of a light source, like 41:42 this downlight above or a flashlight, 41:45 where there is light and the light 41:48 starts small and keeps growing, growing 41:51 , and growing like that. A flashlight 41:55 has that shape. The enlightenment of 41:57 the Qur'an is also like that. So, the 42:00 enlightenment of the Qur'an is 42:02 described as being understood by the 42:04 Arabs in the past according to their 42:06 understanding and knowledge. As the era 42:10 progresses, this understanding 42:11 continues to expand, expanding further. 42:15 If previously it was understood that 42:18 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala explained 42:22 that We created everything in pairs. In 42:27 the past, pairing was understood as 42:30 animals being in pairs of male and 42:32 female. Then humans are also paired as 42:36 male and female, and they already 42:38 understood that plants are also paired 42:40 between male and female plants; that 42:43 was their understanding at that time. 42:46 But as science develops, this 42:48 understanding becomes even broader. 42:52 Therefore, this will always be in line 42:54 with Allah's verses, both in the Qur'an 42:57 and with what exists in nature, it will 43:00 continue to develop. Modern humans 43:04 understand that pairing is not just as 43:07 mentioned before, not only in plants, 43:09 animals, or humans. But it turns out 43:14 that even the smallest particles, atoms 43:17 , are paired, namely between protons 43:19 and electrons. And also, regarding this 43:24 pairing, if it was previously 43:27 understood as just a pair between one 43:30 tree and another or between one human 43:34 and another. But now it is becoming 43:39 clearer how within a single tree there 43:42 are pairs. Even down to the cells, 43:46 there are pairs there. Even down to the 43:49 atoms, there are pairs. So don't assume 43:53 that if you find a hermaphroditic 43:57 animal that has both male and female 44:00 organs, you then say, "Oh, the Qur'an 44:04 is wrong." This is like viewing the 44:09 Qur'an as if we were viewing an 44:11 elementary or middle school textbook. 44:16 If so, then this Qur'an, if you have 44:18 knowledge, we have knowledge, we have 44:21 intelligence, the Qur'an will be 44:23 explored. If we explore it, we will 44:27 find things that are more amazing than 44:30 what we previously knew or understood. 44:34 This is something we must understand 44:36 regarding the interpretation of the 44:38 Qur'an. The Qur'an can be understood 44:42 simply, just as it was understood by 44:45 the simple society of the past, and it 44:48 can also be understood by people living 44:52 today. Likewise, for those living in 44:56 the present day, each of us can 44:58 interact with the Qur'an. But surely, 45:02 each of us will gain different 45:04 understandings. It means we will 45:08 receive a certain light or goodness 45:12 that is different in......the knowledge 45:18 we get from the Qur'an according to our 45:21 capacity. It is not that the 45:24 understanding of the Qur'an is 45:25 different. But what we gain can be 45:29 different. One could describe this as 45:33 someone coming to the ocean. We often 45:37 describe the Qur'an, and indeed it is 45:39 described by the Qur'an, that the 45:41 knowledge of Allah is like an ocean. So 45:47 , as we are all servants of Allah, 45:50 whoever they may be, they come to the 45:52 ocean wanting to benefit from it. Now, 45:59 every human who comes to the ocean can 46:02 take from the seawater according to 46:04 their capacity. Some can take it 46:09 because they brought only a mug, so 46:10 they take one mug of seawater. Some 46:14 bring a bucket, so they take one bucket 46:16 of seawater. Some bring a tank, so they 46:20 take one tank of seawater. Now, this is 46:24 according to each person's capacity. 46:27 The same applies to gaining benefits 46:29 and knowledge from the ocean. There are 46:32 people who do not have, who do not 46:35 equip themselves with gear for swimming 46:38 . They can only catch fish on the shore 46:43 . Or see the beauty of the sea only 46:46 from the edge. But for those who have 46:51 the tools, meaning if a person has 46:54 knowledge of Arabic, rhetoric, grammar, 46:58 morphology, knowledge of history, and 47:01 so on, we liken them to those who have 47:05 oxygen, oxygen tanks, and have 47:08 equipment like masks, goggles, and fins 47:11 for swimming. They can dive into the 47:15 ocean much deeper. With this Qur'an, 47:18 they will go much deeper because they 47:20 possess knowledge. So, it is just like 47:23 that. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala says, " 47:27 Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatun fi 47:29 sudurilladzina utul 'ilm." The Qur'an 47:33 becomes clear signs for those who have 47:36 been given knowledge. But that does not 47:39 mean the Qur'an cannot explain itself. 47:42 The Qur'an explains and is clear for 47:45 all mankind, "hudan linnas wa 47:48 bayyinatim minal huda." But if there 47:51 are those who can grasp it even deeper, 47:53 it is through knowledge that they will 47:55 go deeper. Now, for brother Mustafa 48:00 Husein Babbad, who is fond of science, 48:04 know that science also has limitations 48:08 because it is a human construct. The 48:13 knowledge of what was known in the past 48:16 was that the smallest object was the 48:19 atom. It turns out that later on, 48:22 something smaller than an atom was 48:24 discovered. This, even in the Qur'an, 48:29 Allah has already mentioned......the 48:35 heavens......the earth, and things 48:39 smaller or larger than that. Yes, 48:42 nothing escapes your Lord. Everything 48:47 that exists in this universe, in the 48:49 heavens or on the earth, whether it is 48:52 the size of an atom, smaller than that, 48:55 or larger. If in the past, it was not 49:00 known, well, back then the smallest 49:03 thing people knew was the atom. But 49:06 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala already 49:07 stated there is something smaller than 49:09 that. Now, these things, if understood 49:13 in the past, they understood them 49:15 simply. However, the more we 49:20 investigate and study this Qur'an, what 49:24 does it mean? Science will continue to 49:29 chase the knowledge of the Qur'an. 49:33 Because if the knowledge of the Qur'an 49:37 is absolute, science sometimes makes 49:40 discoveries, but then there are 49:43 shortcomings, and later there are 49:46 continuous refinements like that. Now, 49:51 this is important to understand when we 49:54 view and read the verses of the Qur'an, 49:57 and God willing, we will explain every 50:00 verse that is questioned from the 50:03 source. This perspective is important, 50:08 not just for Mustafa Husein Babbad, but 50:13 for everyone on how we interact with 50:17 the words of Allah. Because we believe 50:21 the Qur'an is the Book of Allah and a 50:23 guide for us. God willing, we will gain 50:27 benefits. But of course, it must be 50:31 with a pure heart. Do not approach it 50:35 with an arrogant heart. Because know 50:38 that if our hearts are arrogant, Allah 50:41 says... "I will turn away My signs from 50:48 those who are arrogant." It means we 50:51 will not get guidance from the Qur'an 50:54 if we have arrogance within ourselves. 50:57 Yes, that is all. Wallahu a'lam. 51:00 Continuing what Ustaz Hamzah conveyed. 51:03 We also want to relate this to the 51:07 statement by Buya Syakur who said that 51:10 the Qur'an is like an abstract painting 51:14 . Artists who observe the painting will 51:21 understand......the painting in 51:25 different ways. We need to emphasize 51:29 that this analogy is incorrect. Because 51:35 if the Qur'an were like this, humans 51:38 would make excuses on the Day of 51:40 Judgment, "O Allah, how could You judge 51:43 us with something abstract?" Allah 51:47 repeatedly mentions in the Qur'an, "Qad 51:50 ja'akum minallahi nurun wa kitabum 51:52 mubin." O mankind to your messenger 52:06 clear verses, and We have certainly 52:09 sent down to you clear verses, and We 52:13 have sent down to you verses that 52:16 explain that the Qur'an consists of 52:19 verses that are bright and clear it 52:25 does not contain things that are vague 52:29 or confusing. As for the differences we 52:34 find in books of commentary, if we 52:37 observe them, they are all caused by 52:40 steering the Qur'an to follow 52:42 perceptions of doctrine, group 52:45 understandings, sects, and so on, 52:47 rather than returning it to the Qur'an 52:51 itself. Therefore, we find how disputes 52:56 occurred due to political interests in 53:00 times past. Likewise, fanaticism toward 53:04 groups or schools of thought. In the 53:06 end, every group tries to steer the 53:08 Qur'an to follow their own respective 53:10 perceptions. Whereas the Messenger said 53:12 , "Man fassara al-Qur'ana bira'yihi 53:14 falyatabawwa' maq'adahu minan-nar." 53:17 Whoever interprets the Qur'an by 53:18 steering it to follow their own opinion 53:20 or perception, let them take their 53:22 place in the fire of Hell. What we 53:26 should do as students, as servants, is 53:28 to be civil before Allah by reading, 53:31 reflecting, connecting verse with verse 53:34 , and then ensuring our understanding 53:36 does not go outside the corridors of 53:39 the Qur'an. So, Buya Syakur's statement 53:43 that the Qur'an is an abstract painting 53:45 is incorrect. But as Ustaz Hamzah said 53:48 earlier, the Qur'an is like a vast 53:51 ocean. Those swimming at the edge or 53:54 sailing at the shore are different from 53:56 those crossing the ocean. Those who 53:59 dive at the edge are different from 54:01 those who dive into the depths of the 54:02 ocean. Naturally, their understanding 54:05 and conclusions are different. It does 54:09 not mean it is abstract, but the 54:11 breadth and depth differ depending on 54:13 one's own capacity. Those who come to 54:16 the ocean with a dipper will get a 54:18 dipper of water. Those who bring, let's 54:21 say, a tank, what will they get? One 54:23 tank of water. Likewise, those who dive 54:26 deeper will find and encounter various 54:29 miracles that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala 54:31 created. Therefore, those at the edge 54:34 should never be arrogant. So with this, 54:37 we remind you in closing that it is 54:52 said that if the ocean were ink to 54:54 write the words of Allah, describing 54:56 His vast knowledge, the ocean would dry 54:58 up. Yet, the words of Allah would never 55:04 end, even if Allah added another ocean 55:06 like the previous one, adding it 55:08 repeatedly; the result is that humans 55:10 will not be able to encompass the 55:12 knowledge of Allah. So we must truly 55:15 understand that the Qur'an is a clear 55:18 guide from Allah, whose vastness is 55:21 truly what? Boundless. We, as servants, 55:25 take from within that ocean according 55:28 to our needs. Hopefully, Allah provides 55:32 benefit from what He teaches us all. 55:34 Making us increasingly humble and 55:36 submissive before His greatness and 55:37 majesty. Purifying our souls, 55:40 perfecting our character, and making us 55:43 servants who are truly full of devotion 55:47 in following the guidance of Allah. 55:50 Allahumma wabihamdik ashadu alla 55:52 ilahailla anta astagfiruka wa atubu 55:54 ilaik. And from you too. 55:57 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 55:59 wabarakatuh. 56:00 Alhamdulillah. Uh, thank you Ustaz 56:02 Husin for the explanation. So if 56:04 someone thinks that the Quran can 56:06 contradict science, there are likely 56:08 two possibilities. First, their 56:10 understanding of the Quran is incorrect 56:13 . Second, their understanding of the 56:15 knowledge is not yet complete or 56:17 finished. Perhaps that is where the 56:19 conflict arises. Alright, thank you 56:21 Ustaz Husein. Once again, Ustaz Hamzah 56:23 Latos and also uncle Firman. I am here, 56:27 uh, Krishna and Neza, and also Anis 56:29 Muali, we bid you farewell. Wabillahi 56:32 taufik walhidayah. Asalamualaikum 56:33 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 56:34 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 56:36 wabarakatuh. 56:36 Wabarakatuh.
