- Rasil TV for one Islam. Thank you.
- Still still with me, Panji Ahmad, and
- Umar Rasyid Hasan, discussing the
- Tafsir Ibnu Kathir study of Surah
- Al-Baqarah, verses 57 to 61. blessings
- that are misused. Alright, we are now
- discussing the topic again with the
- Ustaz. Earlier we already discussed
- the past, taking lessons from the
- Children of Israel. Then, let us look
- at the national scale, regarding the
- many riches we possess that are not
- felt by our own nation. Yes.
- Now, if we narrow it down further,
- Ustaz, how does this discussion apply
- to our daily lives; what are these
- misused blessings in our everyday life?
- In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious
- , the Most Merciful. Certainly, if we
- talk about these blessings, whether
- globally or partially, it would be very
- interesting to discuss. Especially
- regarding our daily lives. Which
- blessings are we misusing in this life,
- and we must be careful. For example,
- what is the greatest blessing in this
- life? That is the answer: the blessing
- of Islam, the blessing of faith and
- Islam. Now, it is being misused by
- humans, especially the Indonesian
- people. What do they exchange their
- faith and Islam for? For freedom. The
- blessing of Tawhid, that Allah must be
- considered One. The blessing of worship
- that we must dedicate only to Allah.
- Let us look at the reality of daily
- life. This nation is actually
- cultivating shirk. Is that not true?
- Cultivating shirk. Believing in shamans
- . Believing in paranormal, in mountains
- , in hills, in graves, believing in
- offering rituals. When the offering
- ritual day comes, they cut off a
- buffalo head, a cow head, and then
- drift it into the middle of the ocean.
- That is shirk. This blessing of Islam
- and faith is replaced by shirk, it is
- misused. Finally, the blessing of Islam
- that we feel now, prayer, Subhanallah,
- if we pray with khusyuk (humility), it
- is in accordance with Allah's will;
- from the requirements, the pillars, the
- obligatory, and the sunnah acts, we
- truly perform them. Prayer is truly a
- blessing. What did they change about
- this blessing? They misused it. They
- want to live freely without prayer, and
- even after leaving prayer, they color
- their lives with acts that provoke the
- anger and wrath of Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala. For example, LGBT, LGBT, which
- is now forbidden by Allah, forgive me,
- in Indonesia, it is being pushed for
- legalization, even if it is not yet
- national. There are many organizations
- that want this LGBT to be legalized by
- law. Subhanallahil Adzim. Which of
- Allah's blessings are they denying by
- instead committing sins like this? And
- the issue of us misusing blessings is
- not just when we eat rice in excess and
- then, what do you call it, the
- leftovers are thrown into the trash. It
- is not just that. It is not just when
- we already have several pieces of
- clothes that are still wearable, yet we
- put them aside and buy new ones. It is
- not just that. Add that to your
- information. Apply this to other
- aspects of life as well. Take cars for
- example; they're still in good
- condition, yet we buy new ones. The
- same goes for motorcycles. That's not
- all. The most critical issue concerns
- our faith. People today have replaced
- monotheism with polytheism. Islamic
- practices have been replaced by
- liberalism. Islamic education has been
- replaced by secular education. This
- poses a danger to the nation's children
- . This concerns our daily lives.
- Therefore, if we observe that blessings
- which should be preserved, guarded, and
- appreciated are in fact being misused
- by some, we, as those who are aware,
- have a duty to remind ourselves, our
- families, and the wider community.
- Whether through sermons, speeches, or
- direct outreach, this is our duty. If
- we don't, it is very easy for Allah to
- destroy a country if its people are no
- longer obedient to Him. How many
- stories from the past tell of
- prosperous, wealthy nations being
- struck by hurricanes? Those storms
- brought trillions of cubic meters of
- sand, burying entire lands that
- archaeologists now uncover; it is not
- difficult for Allah to do that. And
- remember, our country is very
- vulnerable to such things. Remember,
- our country is highly vulnerable. This
- is not to scare anyone, but this
- country is prone to such issues.
- Especially since it is an archipelago.
- The islands in our country are very
- susceptible to rising and sinking. No
- need to look far. Take the Thousand
- Islands as an example. I preached there
- for years, and eventually, on Untung
- Jawa Island, there were islands that
- would appear for a month and sink for a
- year. Over there in Pramuka, there were
- islands that would appear for a few
- months, and fishermen would dock their
- boats there. Then, for years, they
- wouldn't appear at all. Our country is
- vulnerable when its people are not
- grateful to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.
- Therefore, through the study of verses
- 57 to 61, let us truly realize that
- Allah's blessings should not be misused
- . Do not replace those blessings with
- polytheism or by abandoning sharia.
- Instead, let us try to Islamize what is
- not Islamic. For example, convert
- conventional economics into sharia
- economics. Let us return secular
- education to the education of the Quran
- and Sunnah. That is the way. If a
- community has high levels of liberalism
- and legalizes things like LGBT. Let us
- preach to them to return to the true
- path of Allah. Marry according to
- sharia, have offspring who can continue
- the generation of this Indonesian
- nation on a path that is more pleasing
- to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Wallahu
- a'lam bishawab. So, when we talk about
- misused blessings, there is also sin
- and a lack of obedience to Allah, and
- that is universal. Ultimately, that is
- the answer. Yes.
- All right, Ustaz. Now, how do we use
- this blessing properly, both on a
- national scale and personally, Ustaz?
- Well, nationally, if we want to restore
- this blessing to its proper place in
- human life, we must return to religious
- norms. How does religion view the
- blessings that Allah has bestowed upon
- His servants as the people of this land
- ? We must return to the teachings of
- Sharia. For example, "If you are
- grateful, I will surely increase you,
- but if you deny, indeed, My punishment
- is severe." Another example is
- regarding the progression of human life
- , where advancement is suddenly
- destroyed by Allah due to disbelief. "
- Travel through the land and observe the
- end of the criminals," for instance.
- Right? Travel through the earth, O My
- servants. Try to analyze during your
- travels, observe how Allah destroyed a
- nation that once committed disbelief
- against Him. The nation was destroyed
- completely until it ceased to exist. We
- must also reflect on that, in what way?
- In responding to these blessings. With
- the blessings we observe in this
- country, there are blessings from the
- past, right? The civilization in this
- land also experienced its own era of
- progress. That was actually a blessing
- from Allah given to humanity. Do not
- squander it. In the past, this land had
- , let's say, a certain civilization
- during specific periods. We should be
- grateful and develop it in our current
- time through gratitude and by
- safeguarding Allah's blessings within
- ourselves. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab.
- As for individuals,
- for individuals, there are many
- personal duties to ensure blessings are
- not misused. For example, in life, if
- you have five children and 500,000 is
- enough, don't spend millions on their
- needs. 500,000 is enough, isn't it? So
- the rest can be used for other
- necessities. Likewise, O brothers in
- faith, in daily matters—clothing,
- food, drink, transportation, and even
- other life needs—if simplicity is
- enough, let us not be excessive. So
- that when we need more, we haven't
- already used up our quota. If we have
- used up our quota, what is left to do?
- It will become difficult for us.
- Sharing blessings is also possible.
- Sharing blessings when we are wealthy
- today—for example, disasters are
- everywhere now, in Lombok, Palu,
- Donggala, Gili—we can give our excess
- as alms and charity to those in need.
- And brother, regarding this disaster,
- Ustaz, when conducting, what is it
- called? Trauma healing in Lombok, Ustaz
- only said that these disasters are just
- a matter of time. And Allah Subhanahu
- wa ta'ala has said in the Quran, "And
- these days [of varying conditions] We
- alternate among the people." The days
- in this world are rotated by Allah
- Subhanahu wa ta'ala among human lives.
- One moment Jakarta is calm, in other
- places there is disaster. One moment
- people in Jakarta are happy, in other
- places they are suffering. Sometimes in
- Jakarta people have high incomes,
- elsewhere there is much unemployment.
- At one point, Allah turns things around
- ; it is only a matter of time. For
- instance, it happened in Lombok earlier
- . Before Lombok, it was Padang; before
- Padang, it was Aceh. Then it continues
- in turns, brothers in faith, to Palu,
- to Donggala. Do not think that those of
- us safe in Jakarta are free from
- Allah's threats. Last week, the Ustaz
- heard about a BMKG study. God knows
- best. Whether that happens or not is up
- to Allah. Jakarta will be shaken by an
- 8.9 magnitude earthquake. That
- information is not from me, mind you.
- And millions of people across Indonesia
- can hear that. It would be devastating
- if it happens. This study isn't just to
- warn Jakarta residents to be careful,
- but to be fully aware that west of
- Jakarta, Anak Krakatoa has erupted 400
- times. It's not far, just 60 km away is
- Mount Salak, which is still active.
- Deep beneath the earth, magma flows
- from one mountain to another; they are
- connected, my child, not disconnected.
- Although I am no expert, when the Quran
- describes this, I believe it, coupled
- with research that the magma of the
- erupting Anak Krakatoa is connected to
- the magma under Mount Salak, Bogor. It
- is not far. And it also connects
- further to the one in Majalengka, my
- hometown, called Mount Ciremai, the
- highest in West Java. Then Mount Slamet
- , and it continues on. So, this
- disaster is just a matter of time.
- Therefore, in dealing with these issues
- , we must be careful in life and return
- to the Quran. Return to the values of
- the Prophet's Sunnah. May peace be upon
- him, so that we continue to be grateful
- for the blessings Allah gives, and we
- guard and maintain them. And when those
- in need have already felt the suffering
- , wealthy people must be more diligent
- in giving charity and alms. And
- remember once again, the issue of
- disaster is a matter of ti—
- a matter of time.
- Like that.
- All right, this afternoon it seems we
- have reached the end of the program, it
- is 26 minutes past noon, and of course
- we need a conclusion for today's study
- on the theme of abused blessings,
- discussing Quran Surah Al-Baqarah
- verses 57 to 61. Please, Ustaz.
- In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious
- , the Most Merciful. Addressing the
- shift of blessings into something that
- is being misused. This is truly
- interesting to discuss at any time. As
- a child of this nation, I feel
- obligated and would feel sinful if this
- useful message were not conveyed. The
- blessings bestowed upon the Indonesian
- nation are being misused so much; they
- should have been cherished, shared, and
- given to others who are entitled to
- receive them. Instead, they are often
- misused by what? By way of, well, going
- back to who is doing it, right? Back to
- who is doing it. That the blessings of
- the Indonesian people have been largely
- mortgaged to other countries. This is
- one of the benefits of that blessing.
- Therefore, if we want the economy to
- return to normal and we want to
- acknowledge God's blessing again as a
- gift we must protect, once again my
- brothers in faith, it does not mean we
- cannot connect with other nations. It
- does not mean we cannot say we should
- connect this country with the progress
- of other countries; there is nothing
- wrong with that. However, it must be
- within political boundaries that should
- be mutually respected. But when it goes
- too far, this is what happens: these
- blessings are largely misused. The
- yields of our country, God is Great. So
- much is taken by foreigners that the
- children of this nation are left
- neglected. So, in order to be grateful
- for that blessing and so that this
- blessing does not shift away from the
- children of Indonesia. Once again, let
- us be aware of the condition, then
- return to striving for the results of
- this country for its own people, for
- the interests of its government, for
- physical and mental development, for
- education, economy, and health. It
- would not be wrong if this country were
- managed that way. And I am truly
- convinced that if it were managed for
- 10 or 20 years, this country would have
- the highest per capita income. I
- guarantee that, after God's guarantee
- of course, if there is a change like
- that by means of finishing those
- foreign contracts. Yes, of course, this
- involves bilateral relations between
- our country and other countries. Do not
- cut them off halfway. Afraid of what?
- Problems. If the contract is finished,
- it is finished, and subsequently, we
- manage it ourselves. That is how it is.
- Now, furthermore, brothers, we also
- have many experts. Our technologists
- who have studied abroad, whether in
- Germany, Italy, France, Japan, England,
- or America, we should call our nation's
- children to return home, return to the
- fold, return to your own country to
- revive the economy so that God's
- blessing does not shift and is not
- misused. That is how it is. In that way
- , God willing, if they have gathered in
- their own country, then create a
- program through the leading government.
- Create a program where this year, for
- you, children of the nation who are
- experts in technology, you must focus
- on the clothing program, some of you
- must focus on the food program, some of
- you must focus on the housing program,
- and then on the economic, educational,
- and health programs. Then, God willing,
- this country will be as God desires in
- the Quran. A good land and a Forgiving
- Lord. May that become a reality. But
- for now, we are still biting our
- fingers. Why? Why bite our fingers? We
- can only talk and talk like this
- without any practice from the children
- of this nation. However, we must not
- lose hope. As long as this country
- still exists, the followers of Muhammad
- and the Muslims in this country are
- still here, and the God we worship
- still lives forever and will never die.
- So we place our hope in Allah Subhanahu
- wa ta'ala, not in others, so that in
- the future this country may have a
- leader who is just, wise, loves their
- people, and is also fair to other
- nations with the natural wealth we
- possess. That is all I can convey.
- Hopefully, it is beneficial and
- receives, let's say, a good response
- from all circles. May this country
- become a land that is "baldatun
- thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur." Wallahu
- a'lam bish-shawab.
- That concludes this afternoon's lecture
- , and we also express our many thanks
- to the Ustadz.
- May you always be granted health so we
- can meet again next Tuesday, Ustadz.
- Certainly, also at
- the same time and program, or afternoon
- , God willing. And that concludes this
- afternoon's lecture for our brothers
- and sisters. Finally, I, Pang Ahmad,
- along with the crew on duty, Ondi and
- Yusuf Subangkit or Fahri at the
- operator's desk, ask to take our leave.
- We close this afternoon's session with
- the prayer to conclude the gathering:
- Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika asyhadu
- alla ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa
- atubu ilaik. Wassalamualaikum
- warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam. Allah. Rasil TV for the
- one Islam.
