And 3:36 peace be upon the mercy to the worlds, 3:38 the noblest of prophets and messengers, 3:41 and upon all his family and companions. 3:44 To proceed, Allah the Almighty says in 3:47 His noble Book: [Verse recitation][ 3:57 Verse recitation][Verse recitation][ 4:04 Verse recitation] To proceed, Muslims, 4:12 brothers and sisters, listeners of 4:15 Radio Silaturahim and viewers of Rasil 4:18 TV, wherever you are. Praise be to 4:22 Allah, this evening we meet again 4:23 through the screen and also through the 4:26 airwaves. Wherever you are, ladies and 4:30 gentlemen, wherever you may be watching 4:32 . God willing, we are truly grateful to 4:36 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala because in 4:39 the remaining time He gives us in this 4:42 life, we can humble ourselves and our 4:45 hearts to contemplate His verses, which 4:48 are full of blessings and miracles. And 4:53 dear attendees, may Allah bless you, 4:55 listeners of Rasil Radio, and likewise 4:57 viewers of Rasil TV. It may be that 5:01 these moments, these times, or these 5:04 seconds when we open our hearts and our 5:07 minds to contemplate the verses of 5:09 Allah with full sincerity, could be one 5:12 or two seconds that Allah is pleased 5:15 with in that journey, and that is 5:17 actually enough for us to obtain 5:20 Allah's mercy and, God willing, enter 5:23 His paradise. 5:25 So hopefully Allah grants that to us, 5:28 and may the verses of the Quran we 5:31 contemplate later truly become a 5:33 blessing in our lives. May peace and 5:38 blessings always be poured upon our 5:40 leader and our good example, our 5:42 Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi 5:45 wasallam. Likewise, to all his family 5:48 and companions, may we remain steadfast 5:51 in learning, practicing, and preaching 5:53 the values he, sallallahu alaihi 5:56 wasallam, taught us for this life. 6:00 Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah bless 6:02 you, brothers and sisters, listeners of 6:03 Rasil Radio, and likewise viewers of 6:05 Rasil TV. Continuing our discussion on 6:10 reflecting upon the verses of the Quran 6:12 to find solutions for life. Yes, on 6:16 this evening's occasion, please allow 6:19 me to add a few important introductory 6:22 points before we proceed to continue 6:25 discussing the characteristics of 6:28 sustenance in the Quran that we often 6:31 slip up on while trying to be grateful 6:34 for. Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah 6:36 have mercy on you. But before we get 6:38 there, please allow me to add a few 6:39 things on this morning's occasion. Just 6:42 a little bit. My brothers and sisters, 6:45 ladies and gentlemen, may Allah have 6:46 mercy on you. Likewise, to the viewers 6:50 of Rasil TV, if we askโand please, to 6:53 those watching Rasil TV, look at the 6:57 screen. If we ask, Kang Fahri, 7:01 I 7:03 what is actually our purpose in being 7:05 created as humans on this earth? Right? 7:09 Our purpose as humans born on this 7:11 earth. And of course, we understand 7:15 that Allah chose us not by accident. 7:19 There is a serious purpose behind it 7:21 all. Now, if we ask what our purpose is 7:24 as humans? I'll be quick; there are at 7:27 least two. The first is the communal 7:31 purpose of humanity, which is to be a 7:34 khalifah (steward). Quran Chapter 2, 7:38 starting from verse 30, Surat 7:39 Al-Baqarah, begins with verse 30 when 7:41 Allah SWT says: "Inni ja'ilun fil-ardi 7:43 khalifah." This one. And so on. Now, 7:56 that is as humans or as humanity in 7:59 general, communally, as a human society 8:02 , which is to be a khalifah. Khalifah. 8:06 But there is one more purpose of being 8:08 human as an individual. Kang Fahri and 8:12 ladies and gentlemen, my brothers and 8:13 sisters, as an individual. If the 8:17 previous khalifah was for society at 8:20 large, 8:21 humanity becoming a society. So, in 8:25 relation to it being a personal 8:27 obligation (fardhu ain), it is somewhat 8:31 โor we can sayโnot a personal 8:33 obligation. What I mean by not a 8:37 personal obligation is in the sense of 8:39 waiting for readiness, waiting for 8:40 humanity to truly become a khalifah. 8:44 But the second purpose for which humans 8:46 were created, because it applies to the 8:48 individual, is a personal obligation 8:51 that falls upon us as individuals 8:52 wherever and whenever we may be. 8:55 Whenever. What is it? Quran Chapter 51, 8:59 Adh-Dhariyat, which I have displayed or 9:01 we have displayed on Rasil TV, on the 9:03 Rasil TV screen, verse 56. We often 9:07 hear this phrase, but tonight, God 9:09 willing, we will explore it further so 9:11 it becomes truly clear. Because imagine 9:13 , this is your life's purpose. That is 9:15 what I mean. 9:16 For example, let's say we take a Grab. 9:18 Nowadays, Grab is common. 9:21 The destination must be clear. 9:24 Yes, that's right. 9:24 If the destination is unclear, you will 9:26 never arrive. What is the point of 9:28 taking a Grab if you don't know where 9:29 you're going? It's unclear. Sometimes 9:31 itโs like this, I once ordered a Grab 9:33 and the names were quite similar, 9:35 almost identical. Once I clicked, it 9:36 was nearly the same. Because I wasn't 9:38 paying close attention, I just clicked 9:39 it. I was already halfway there when I 9:41 realized, wait, why is the direction 9:42 opposite? Apparently, the names were 9:44 the same and there were two of them. So 9:46 , truly, a destination is something 9:48 very, very important because we are 9:50 journeying through our lives and will 9:52 later be held accountable by Allah. So, 9:56 if the destination isn't clear, itโs 9:59 dangerous. Now, what does the verse say 10:01 ? Surah Adh-Dhariyat, verse 56, is on 10:03 the screen. A'udhu billahi 10:05 minash-shaytanir-rajim. Wama. Now, that 10:08 is a negation phrase. It negates 10:10 something. Negating it means that 10:12 everything else is not essential. 10:14 Something like that. Wama 10:15 khalaqtul-jinna wal-insa illa. In the 10:18 principles of interpretation, "illa" is 10:20 called an*istisna*or an exception. 10:23 Exception takes something large and 10:24 narrows it to one small thing. 10:26 Exception takes something general and 10:27 narrows it to something specific. So, 10:29 everything else seems unimportant. It's 10:31 not that Allah says the rest is 10:33 unimportant, but that this one thing is 10:35 what matters most. Because there is an* 10:37 istisna*phrase there. "Illa," so "I did 10:40 not create the jinn and mankind." So, 10:43 jinn and humans were created, yes, 10:45 that's possible. There is family life, 10:48 there is getting to know one another, 10:50 there is, what else, becoming children 10:53 or becoming parents to other humans. 10:56 But all of that becomes unimportant if 10:58 this one thing is missing. Something 11:00 like that. What is it? Illa liya'budun. 11:05 The*lam*is its name. If you look at the 11:07 screen, ladies and gentlemen, that is 11:08 the*lam*of purpose (*li-ghayah*). * 11:10 Gayah*means destination or purpose. So 11:12 the purpose is*liya'budun*, so that 11:16 they may become servants to Allah, or 11:20 as Allah says, to serve Me. Now, this 11:25 is what we must open up tonight, to 11:27 remind ourselves so that, like the Grab 11:29 ride earlier, our purpose is fixed and 11:31 clear. 11:33 Yes. 11:33 Itโs no problem if the road is jammed 11:35 , but if the destination is clear, you 11:36 will definitely arrive, Brother Fari. 11:37 Yes. Yes. But if the destination isn't 11:40 clear, even if the road is smooth, you 11:42 will never arrive. 11:44 Why? Because the destination is wrong. 11:46 Now, *illa liya'budun*. I did not 11:49 create the jinn and mankind...*Wama 11:51 khalaqtul-jinna wal-insa illa 11:53 liya'budun. *The "tu" is a*damir*or 11:56 pronoun indicating*mufrad*or singular. 12:00 And I, says Allah, did not create the 12:03 jinn and mankind except to be My 12:06 servants or to serve Me. Now, what is 12:11 actually meant by "serving Me"? Is it 12:16 to do a lot of...charity, for example? 12:21 Oh, not necessarily. Because there are 12:23 people who give charity but go to hell. 12:25 What kind of charity?*Riya*(showing off 12:26 ). Quran Surah 2, verse 264, all their 12:29 charity is erased; that is the word of 12:31 Allah. *Ya ayyuhalladzina amanu la 12:33 tubtilu sadaqatikum...*...that is, "O 12:40 you who have believed, do not 12:42 invalidate your charities by reminders 12:44 or injury" to those you give to. Uh, so 12:47 , it turns out it's not that. Likewise, 12:52 it could be like this. "Liya'budun" 12:54 means to worship Allah. Meaning prayer. 12:58 So our life's purpose is prayer? 13:00 Not necessarily. 13:01 Why? Because there are people who pray 13:03 but enter hell. 13:04 Yes, there is a verse about it. 13:05 Right? Especially those who don't pray, 13:07 of course. Quran chapter 4, Surah 13:09 An-Nisa, at the end of the fifth juz, 13:11 verse 142. Allah's words are there. 13:16 A'udzubillahi minash-shaitanir-rajim. " 13:18 Innal-munafiqina yukhadi'unallaha..." 13:20 and so on. "...wa la yadhkurunallaha 13:25 illa qalila." The continuation of the 13:30 verse: "Muzabzabina baina dhalika..." 13:34 and so on. So the hypocrites, " 13:40 innal-munafiqina yukhadi'unallaha." 13:42 They think they can deceive Allah. 13:45 Whereas it is Allah who is actually 13:47 deceiving them. Their characteristics 13:50 are when they stand for prayer, meaning 13:52 they do pray, they perform prayer until 13:54 they die. But in performing it, they 13:58 are lazy, "kusala.""Yura'unannas"... 14:02 what? Wanting to show off to people, 14:04 wanting to be seen by people. "Wa la 14:06 yadhkurunallaha illa qalila." And they 14:09 do not remember Allah except a little 14:10 in their prayers. Now, they will enter 14:13 hell later. 14:14 That was verse 145, before it was 142. 14:16 Now verse 145, just a little below. " 14:18 Innal-munafiqina fid-darkil-asfali 14:20 minan-nar." And it's not just any hell. 14:23 The lowest level of hell, Kang Fari, 14:25 the very bottom. "Innal-munafiqina 14:27 fid-darkil-asfali minan-nar wa lan 14:29 tajida lahum nashira." And they will 14:31 find no helper. So it turns out it's 14:34 not that, right? "Ya'budun" is not that 14:37 . So, what is "liya'budun"? Now, this 14:40 is the Tadabbur of the Quran. Kang Fah 14:42 and ladies and gentlemen who are 14:43 blessed by Allah, brothers and sisters 14:45 wherever you are. This is the Tadabbur 14:46 of the Quran. We search for or we 14:50 present an explanation of a verse, 14:52 intended by other verses found in the 14:55 Quran regarding that matter. So, if we 15:00 open Quran chapter 2 verse 172, on the 15:02 Rasil TV screen, I show the sentence 15:05 like this. A'udzubillahi 15:07 minash-shaitanir-rajim, I read it 15:09 earlier at the beginning. "Ya 15:11 ayyuhalladzina amanu." O you who 15:13 believe, "min tayyibati ma razaqnakum." 15:16 Eat during this journey of your life 15:18 what Allah has provided for you. Eat 15:21 the good things, the "tayyibat" that 15:24 Allah has provided for you. Now, there 15:26 is the next sentence. "Wasykuru lillahi 15:29 in kuntum iyyahu ta'budun." Now, that 15:33 was the sentence earlier. If we pay 15:35 close attention, the sentence was in 15:38 chapter 51, Surah Adh-Dhariyat verse 56 15:40 . "Wa ma khalaqtul-jinna wal-insa illa 15:43 liya'budun." Now it is "wasykuru 15:46 lillahi in kuntum iyyahu ta'budun." Now 15:49 , this is like a bottle and its cap. 15:52 Earlier "liya'budun" means so they may 15:54 become servants. Now Allah says " 15:55 wasykuru lillah," and be grateful to 15:57 Allah. "In kuntum," if you indeed truly 16:01 "iyyahu ta'budun," serve only Allah. 16:05 There you go. So, people can walk on 16:09 the face of this earth, can perform 16:11 acts of worship, can also eat and drink 16:13 , enjoying the sustenance Allah gives, 16:15 but not necessarily be able to be 16:17 grateful for it. 16:19 Hmm. 16:20 Including the charity and worship 16:22 mentioned by Brother Fahri earlier. 16:24 That is why the Messenger sallallahu 16:26 alaihi wasallam, our Prophet, ladies 16:29 and gentlemen, is someone whose name is 16:32 placed alongside the name of Allah. 16:35 His place in Paradise is clearly 16:37 guaranteed. 16:38 Itโs impossible for him not to enter 16:39 Paradise, so to speak. 16:43 But when he prayed at night until his 16:45 feet were swollen, Mother Aisha 16:46 radhiallahu anha asked, "Why do you go 16:48 to such lengths?" Like that. Even 16:52 though you are a prophet. You have no 16:55 sins. 16:55 Yes. 16:56 Even if there were mistakes, they have 16:57 surely been forgiven by Allah, pardoned 16:59 . Paradise is guaranteed. 17:01 Why push yourself that hard? What was 17:03 the Prophet's answer? 17:05 Am akunu abdan syakuro. Should I not be 17:07 a grateful servant? Like that. So the 17:10 motivation for worship is indeed 17:11 gratitude. 17:12 Gratitude. 17:13 Like that. So earlier, if people pray 17:14 but lack the motivation of gratitude, 17:16 they end up wanting to show off, 17:18 wanting to be seen by others. 17:20 Like that, and feeling lazy. Why is 17:23 there no motivation? But if a sense of 17:26 gratitude resides within one's self, 17:28 that is what becomes the motivation. We 17:30 would be ashamed not to worship. Why? 17:32 Because Allah has already given us so 17:34 much. So, to clarify the meaning of 17:37 this Quranic verse, ladies and 17:39 gentlemen, Surah Az-Zariyat 51, verse 17:42 56. Then, contemplate it in verse Surah 17:46 Al-Baqarah, verse 172. We were not 17:49 created as humans, as individual human 17:53 beings, except to be as grateful as 17:56 possible to Allah throughout our lives. 18:00 That is the purpose, that is what ' 18:02 ya'budun' means. It means we will 18:05 perform acts of worship based on the 18:06 motivation of gratitude. It means we 18:08 will enjoy this life and have good 18:10 thoughts (husnuzzan) about Allah. It 18:12 means we are always optimistic that 18:14 Allah is indeed the Most Forgiving, the 18:16 Most Merciful, the Great Giver to us. 18:18 So, our lives are based on gratitude. 18:23 Now, brothers and sisters, viewers of 18:25 Rasil TV, listeners of Radio Rasil, it 18:28 is now important for usโbecause that 18:31 is our life's purposeโto be as 18:33 grateful as possible in our life's 18:35 journey. It is then important for us to 18:40 consider, could it be that we are not 18:44 yet grateful? Why? Because later, the 18:47 consequencesโsince this is the 18:49 purpose of life. The consequences, 18:52 let's open Surah Az-Zumar, surah 39, 18:54 verse 7; the consequence is that if we 18:57 are grateful, Allah is pleased with our 18:59 life's journey. Conversely, if we are 19:04 not grateful, then Allah is not pleased 19:05 with us. The issue is, there are only 19:08 two choices, ladies and gentlemen, 19:10 brothers and sisters. Imma syakiron, 19:13 imma kafuro. If you are not grateful, 19:15 it means you are ungrateful (kafir). 19:16 Surah 76 is Surah Al-Insan. 19:19 The third verse. Allah's words are like 19:23 this. Inna hadainahus sabila imma 19:26 syakiron wa imma kafur. Or if you, 19:30 ladies and gentlemen, want to start 19:32 reading from the first verse, it's even 19:33 better. Surah 76, starting from the 19:35 first verse. infatin amali inakir wa 19:49 kaf 19:50 Has there not come a time in human life 19:53 when one was nothing, not even worth 19:56 mentioning because one did not exist, 19:59 coming from nothingness; then We gave 20:02 humans life, says Allah, to test them 20:05 in this life. That is why We gave them 20:08 the ability to hear and see throughout 20:10 their journey of life. Allah says, " 20:13 Inna hadaynahu," We have shown the way. 20:16 From that path, there are only two 20:17 choices. Imma shakiran wa imma kafura. 20:21 If one is not grateful, it means they 20:22 are ungrateful (kafir). 20:23 If we avoid being ungrateful, it means 20:25 we have been grateful. Like that. So 20:27 this is very important. The other 20:30 sentence in Surah 39 Az-Zumar I will 20:33 display on the Rasil TV screen. Allah 20:37 will be pleased with us as long as we 20:39 are grateful. 20:41 When we are grateful, Allah is pleased. 20:43 But as soon as we are ungrateful for 20:45 blessings, Allah is not pleased with us 20:46 . Why is that? Here is the proof, let 20:49 us read the verse. A'udhu billahi 20:51 minash-shaitanir-rajim. This is 20:52 actually very important, this verse, I 20:54 mean the seventh verse of Surah 20:56 Az-Zumar. In takfuru. If you are 20:59 ungrateful, what kind of ingratitude is 21:00 meant? Not disbelief in faith, but 21:02 ingratitude for blessings. 21:03 That is it. How do we know? We will see 21:06 later in this verse. Let us continue. 21:08 In takfuru. If you are ungrateful, 21:10 fainnallaha ghaniyun 'ankum. Know that 21:12 Allah is rich, He does not need you. 21:15 Yes, so the sentence is very firm. If 21:18 you are ungrateful for blessings, Allah 21:20 does not need you. Allah is the 21:22 All-Rich. The next sentence after the 21:25 pause, wala yarda li'ibadihil-kufr. 21:28 Allah is not pleased. Ah, Allah is not 21:31 pleased with the ingratitude that 21:34 exists within His servants. 21:37 So Allah wants to tell us, as long as 21:38 you are ungrateful for blessings, Allah 21:40 is not pleased. 21:42 Like that. Allah is not pleased. 21:44 MasyaAllah. If Allah is not pleased, 21:46 what door can we seek? 21:48 Where can we find opportunity? Where do 21:50 we seek life's solutions? Where else, 21:52 if Allah is not pleased? Now, 21:54 continuing after the pause. Wa tashkuru 21:59 yardahu lakum. If you are grateful, 22:03 then as long as you are grateful, Allah 22:05 is pleased with you. This also answers 22:08 the earlier part, "in takfuru" does not 22:11 mean disbelief in faith. It could be 22:14 disbelief, but Allah is also not 22:15 pleased with ingratitude for blessings. 22:17 Why? Because the opposite is "wa in 22:19 tashkuru." If you are grateful, He is 22:24 pleased with you. And the continuation 22:28 of the verse, wa la taziru waziratun 22:29 wizra ukhra. No soul shall bear the 22:31 burden of another, then to your Lord is 22:33 your return, and He will inform you of 22:35 what you used to do. Then to your Lord 22:38 you will be returned, and there will be 22:40 shown to you everything you did on the 22:43 face of this earth. Innahu' alimun 22:46 bidhatis-sudur. Yes. Indeed, He knows 22:51 what is in your hearts or breasts, 22:53 indicating that gratitude or 22:55 ingratitude resides within the human 22:58 heart. Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah 23:02 bless you. It's very important because 23:04 there are only two choices, gratitude 23:06 or ungratefulness. Yes, if we are 23:07 grateful, Allah is pleased. So, 23:09 gratitude is our creation, the purpose 23:11 of our creation. Conversely, if we are 23:13 ungrateful, Allah is not pleased, and 23:15 that is very dangerous for us. Seeking 23:18 solutions for our lives, for our life's 23:20 problems, is certainly difficult. Hard. 23:24 It is not Allah who makes it difficult, 23:26 it is not Allah who makes it hard. 23:27 Because Allah has already given, given, 23:29 uh, what 23:30 the picture to us. Yes. 23:32 Uh, we ourselves are the ones who act, 23:35 making the solutions in our lives 23:37 difficult. Ladies and gentlemen, may 23:38 Allah bless you. Okay. Now, let's enter 23:42 , let's continue. There are eight 23:46 categories of provision that are not 23:50 material in nature which are actually 23:56 very important for us to pay attention 23:59 to so we remain within the scope of 24:02 gratitude. 24:05 Right, the choice is only two, as I 24:06 said earlier. If not grateful, it means 24:08 ungrateful, right? Now, often these 24:12 non-material provisions are what make 24:15 us slip 24:17 because we think, "Oh, is that even a 24:19 blessing?" Something like that. For 24:22 instance, if we get a new house, we'd 24:24 certainly say, "Wow, what a blessing." 24:26 Yes, that is true, that is also a 24:27 blessing. 24:28 Getting a new car is obvious, right? 24:30 It's also a blessing, but not just that 24:32 . If it's that, I want to say this. If 24:35 it's that, it's common, right? Surely 24:37 we understand that it is a blessing. 24:39 But these non-material ones are where 24:42 we often slip and forget. Alright, we 24:46 discussed this in several previous 24:47 meetings. The first one friendship is a 24:51 blessing, as in Surah 2 verse 254, the 24:54 verse before Ayatul Kursi, at the 24:56 beginning of the third juz, Allah says 24:59 there. "O you who have believed, spend 25:00 from that which We have provided for 25:02 you before there comes a Day in which 25:03 there is no exchange and no friendship. 25:05 " Now, khullah means friendship, 25:08 camaraderie, not bad friendships, but 25:10 true companionship. And also "no 25:14 intercession," and the help of good 25:16 friends is a blessing. Because the word 25:20 "razzaqnakum" is explained in detail by 25:24 Allah. The first is trading that 25:27 produces profit. Profit is a blessing. 25:30 Likewise, khullah or companionship is a 25:33 blessing. Help from a friend is also a 25:36 blessing. So, if our attitude, if our 25:40 behavior toward good friends is not 25:44 right, uh 25:47 betraying them, cutting off the ties of 25:49 brotherhood with them, then don't be 25:51 surprised if that makes us ungrateful 25:53 for blessings. 25:55 Ungrateful for blessings. 25:55 Right? Because friends are a blessing, 25:58 right? That's why a very famous hadith 26:01 of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi 26:03 wasallam says the way to serve our 26:05 parents who have passed away is by 26:06 maintaining ties with their siblings 26:08 and maintaining brotherhood with their 26:11 friends who have passed away. The 26:14 reward for that reaches them, Kang Fari 26:16 . Even though they have passed away. 26:17 Why is that? Because friends are a 26:19 blessing. Maintaining them earns you 26:21 rewards. Now, especially for those of 26:23 us still alive. So, if we have friends, 26:26 good companions, friends who invite us 26:29 to the path of Allah, and our ties of 26:32 brotherhood are broken, perhaps that is 26:34 why we haven't found solutions to our 26:37 life's problems all this time. It could 26:41 be because we haven't mended that. 26:44 That is the cause. 26:44 That is the reason, yes. Because 26:46 friends are a blessing. The second one 26:50 we have already discussed is that 26:52 children are a blessing, the figure of 26:54 a child, that is. So, whatever story a 26:57 child has, Allah gave them to us from, 27:01 uh, what do you call it? From our own 27:04 selves, more or less. So that is a 27:06 blessing. 27:07 Whether they have special needs or not, 27:10 perfect for example. Likewise, in Surah 27:13 Al-Hajj, the 22nd chapter, fifth verse, 27:16 children with special needs are 27:18 actually a special blessing, even more 27:21 special, Brother Fahri, than normal 27:23 children. How can that be? Let us look 27:26 at the verse, the 22nd chapter, fifth 27:28 verse, Allah's sentence says this. O 27:30 mankind, if you are in doubt about the 27:33 resurrection, then know that We created 27:35 you from dust, then from a drop of 27:37 sperm, into a clot of blood, a lump of 27:39 flesh, some formed and some unformed, 27:41 to make it clear to you. O mankind, if 27:45 you are in doubt about the resurrection 27:48 , know that We created you from dust, 27:51 then from a drop of semen, into a clot, 27:55 a lump of flesh, and then some are 27:58 perfect and some are not. Formed and 28:03 unformed. Why are there some perfect 28:06 and some not? There is a "lam" of 28:08 purpose there: "li-ubayyina lakum." 28:12 So that We may explain to you that We 28:14 are the ones who have power over your 28:17 lives. 28:18 Like that. So a child with special 28:21 needs is a sign from Allah. 28:25 Uh. 28:26 Which Allah uses as an explanation to 28:29 other humans that Allah is the One in 28:32 control, you see. Secondly, children 28:36 with special needs, oh my, if we have 28:38 three children, Brother Fahri, 28:41 one with special needs. Usually, in 28:44 society, those who forget to be 28:46 grateful will feel inferior, low 28:47 self-esteem, 28:49 I. 28:49 For having a child with special needs. 28:52 But from Allah's sentence earlier, we 28:54 should actually be inferior. 28:57 Wait, we should actually feel, uh, 28:59 superior. I mean superior by being 29:01 grateful. 29:01 Grateful. 29:02 For having a child with special needs. 29:04 How can that be? The logic is like this 29:06 , Brother Fahri. We have three children 29:09 . One with special needs, two normal. 29:13 The two normal children, because they 29:14 are normal, right? They have the same 29:17 thoughts as others, have, uh, what? The 29:19 same desires as others. It is possible 29:22 that in their journey as children and 29:24 teenagers, they are invited by friends 29:26 to do bad things, this and that. 29:28 Because they are normal children. It is 29:30 possible they join in and fall into it. 29:32 Whose sins are those to bear? Their 29:33 parents '. But for those with special 29:37 needs, from the time they are born 29:38 until they pass away, they have no sins 29:40 . 29:42 They have become an investment for 29:44 their parents 29:45 right? They are certain to enter heaven 29:47 and will certainly intercede for their 29:49 parents. 29:50 From that perspective, we should 29:52 actually be more grateful to have a 29:54 child with special needs. So God says 29:56 children are a blessing. That's it. 30:01 Next, the third point we have also 30:03 discussed; if the previous one was 30:05 about children as a blessing. Now, this 30:08 third one is our interaction. The time 30:12 we spend together with our life 30:15 partners. For the ladies, that means 30:17 their husbands, 30:18 for the gentlemen, that means their 30:20 wives and our children and 30:21 grandchildren. The time we spend with 30:24 them is a blessing. Ladies and 30:26 gentlemen, may you be blessed by God. 30:28 So, if we truly treasure the time we 30:31 spend with them wellโand by well, I 30:34 mean, for instance, there are those out 30:37 there whose income is just enough, 30:41 perhaps working as online motorcycle 30:43 taxi drivers and so on, right? Then 30:46 they set aside a little money every 30:49 single day. They intend, they aspire 30:53 for that small amount of money they set 30:55 aside to eventually take their children 30:58 and wife, for example, on a vacation or 31:01 an outing, right? That is not a trivial 31:04 matter, you know, 31:05 Mas Kang Fahi. 31:07 That is gratitude. An extraordinary 31:09 form of gratitude. So, ladies and 31:12 gentlemen out there, if any of you 31:15 happen to have, what, a modest income, 31:17 and then you sacrifice in such a way, 31:20 setting aside money little by little 31:22 with the goal and intention of taking 31:25 your children and wife for an outing, 31:27 know that this is an extraordinary 31:30 jihad. Because the purpose of our life, 31:33 as mentioned earlier, is to be grateful 31:34 . And what is one form of gratitude? 31:36 One way we show gratitude for having 31:39 children, a wife, or grandchildren, 31:41 perhaps, if you already have them, is 31:43 to be with them 31:45 and make them happy. 31:46 Yes. Pleasing their hearts, spending 31:48 time with them. Where is the proof? 31:50 Surah 16, ladies and gentlemen, may you 31:52 be blessed by God, uh, surah 16, verse 31:59 72. God's words, "Wallahu jaala lakum 32:03 min anfusikum azwajan waja'ala lakum 32:05 min azwajikum banina wahafadatan 32:07 warazaqakum minat tayyibat." It is God 32:11 who has made for you in your life your 32:13 life partners from among yourselves. 32:16 Waja'ala lakum min azwajikum banina 32:19 wahafada. And then God made for you 32:21 children and grandchildren from those 32:23 life partners. Warazaqakum minat 32:26 tayyibat. And God provides good, pure 32:29 provisions from the presence of those 32:31 children, grandchildren, and your life 32:34 partner. So, being together with them, 32:36 ladies and gentlemen, may you be 32:37 blessed by God, yes. That is a blessing 32:39 . That is why, if people close the 32:42 doors to this blessing, they are 32:44 ungrateful, ungrateful for the favors, 32:46 and it will be difficult to find 32:47 solutions to life's problems. For 32:49 example, a grandmother who is a 32:51 perfectionist wants her house to be 32:53 clean, neat, and well-organized, right? 32:56 Then when her grandchildren arrive, she 32:58 starts grumbling. Oh, careful, that 33:00 might break, don't run around. Oh, 33:02 don't do that, it will spill, it will 33:03 spill. Ah, that, yes, be careful 33:06 because that means there is some 33:09 provision that we perhaps do not 33:11 appreciate. Number four, the Quran is a 33:18 provision. Well, there you go, Kang 33:20 Fari. The Quran is a provision. This is 33:23 extraordinary, isn't it? We will find a 33:26 great many proofs of this in the Quran. 33:30 The Quran was sent down to us as a 33:32 provision. Yes, among others, we will 33:35 find it for example in Surah Yunus, the 33:39 10th chapter, from verse 57 to 59. In 33:44 verse 57, Allah says, "O mankind, there 33:46 has come to you an instruction from 33:49 your Lord, and healing for what is in 33:51 your breasts, and guidance and mercy 33:53 for the believers." O believers, Allah 33:58 has sent down to you a lesson, and a 34:02 healing for what is in...In your 34:06 breasts. And a guidance, and a mercy 34:10 for the believers. Say, "In the bounty 34:14 of Allah and in His mercyโin that let 34:16 them rejoice." And say, with the favor 34:21 of Allah, with the grace of Allahโ 34:24 which is the Quranโwith that you 34:26 should rejoice. Yes, to rejoice is to 34:30 be glad, isn't it? Happy. It is better 34:33 than what they accumulate. Because the 34:35 Quran is better than anything else you 34:38 could accumulate in this worldly life. 34:41 Now, in verse 59, Allah mentions the 34:43 word "provision" there. "Say, have you 34:46 seen what Allah has sent down to you of 34:48 provision?" Now, pay attention to what 34:51 Allah has sent down to you as this 34:53 provision. Do not go around picking and 34:55 choosing as you please. Taking what you 34:58 like, and not wanting what you find 35:00 difficult. Yes, that is not allowed. 35:02 Why? Because the Quran is a provision. 35:07 Now, this is also what we discussed in 35:09 the last meeting. Derivatives of the 35:12 Quran are also a provision. Such as 35:14 what? The Mushaf (physical copy) of the 35:16 Quran is also a form of provision, so 35:18 we must honor it. Then the Murattal ( 35:20 recitation) of the Quran, that is also 35:23 a provision. Because the Quran itself 35:24 is a provision. So anything that has 35:27 the Quran attached to it, like writing 35:30 or sound, is also a form of provision 35:33 that we must pay attention to so that 35:37 we can easily find life solutions in 35:40 this journey. Yes, the Quran is a 35:42 provision. Earlier, Surah Al-Waqi'ah as 35:45 well, the 56th chapter, verses 77 to 82 35:47 . Allah's words, perhaps starting from 35:51 76 is also fine, and so on. But let's 35:55 start directly from 77. "Indeed, it is 35:57 a noble Quran." Indeed, this Quran is 36:00 the most noble, in a hidden Book. 36:04 Written in a protected book, yes,' 36:06 maknun 'is taken from the word' kun '. 36:09 "None touch it except the purified." No 36:11 one touches it except those who purify 36:14 themselves. Sent down from the Lord of 36:18 the worlds. "Then is it to this 36:22 statement that you are indifferent, and 36:24 you make the denial of it your 36:25 provision?" That is the verse, " 36:28 rizqokum," that you deny it, ladies and 36:30 gentlemen. So, God Himself says that 36:34 the Qur'an is a blessing. Now, likewise 36:39 , the Qur'an is a blessing, ladies and 36:42 gentlemen. Continuing on, the teaching 36:47 of the Qur'an is a blessing. In fact, 36:51 out of all other blessings, this is the 36:53 best one. Yes, 36:55 so there are many blessings, Kang Fari. 36:57 Yes. The Qur'an is a blessing, children 37:00 are a blessing, let alone material 37:01 things. We also know that health is a 37:03 blessing, and so on. But of all those, 37:06 the greatest, the best, and the highest 37:09 blessing is the teaching of the Qur'an. 37:13 Where is the evidence? First, Surah 37:16 Ar-Rahman, the 55th chapter, 27th juz; 37:18 this is a famous surah. Usually, many 37:21 Indonesians have memorized this surah. 37:24 In Surah Ar-Rahman, there is a verse 37:27 repeated 31 times, Kang Fari. And to 37:29 you, ladies and gentlemen, listeners 37:31 and viewers of Rasil TV and Radio 37:33 Silaturahim. The sentence repeated 31 37:36 times is, "Fabiayyi ala'i Rabbikuma 37:38 tukazziban.""So which of the favors of 37:41 your Lord will you both deny, O jinn 37:44 and mankind?" So God details the 37:47 blessings that He has given to the jinn 37:49 and mankind. Then God asks the jinn and 37:52 mankind which of these blessings they 37:54 deny. So the content is about blessings 37:56 , and in the middle of the surah there 37:59 is a small mention of hell, but the 38:01 rest is all about blessings. Starting 38:04 from the creation of humans, being 38:06 taught to speak, then sailing the seas, 38:09 and everything human beings need. Then 38:12 until God creates paradise for the jinn 38:15 and paradise for humans, each with its 38:17 own place. Ladies and gentlemen, may 38:20 God have mercy on you, these are all 38:22 blessings that God has revealed to us 38:24 in Surah Ar-Rahman. But if you pay 38:27 close attention, this is extraordinary, 38:30 in my opinion, because of all those 38:33 blessings, the first one mentionedโ 38:36 and it is directly linked with the name 38:39 of God, the Most Mercifulโ 38:42 even precedes the blessing of our 38:44 creation as humans, 38:46 is the blessing of being taught the 38:49 Qur'an. So the first verse says, " 38:51 Ar-Rahman," He is the Most Merciful. It 38:55 doesn't start with the creation of 38:56 humans first, 38:57 but "Alamal-Qur'an"(He taught the 38:58 Qur'an), then "Khalaqal-insan"(He 39:00 created man), then "Alamahul-bayan"(He 39:02 taught him speech), the sun and the 39:03 moon move by precise calculation, and 39:05 so on. The exegetes say, why is the 39:10 creation of man mentioned after? It is 39:16 a blessing that comes after the 39:18 previous blessing, which is being 39:20 taught the Qur'an. Even though 39:22 logically, Kang Fari, ladies and 39:24 gentlemen, brothers and sisters, the 39:26 logic is this: 39:27 It is impossible for us to learn the 39:29 Qur'an if we do not exist, if we are 39:31 not alive. But according to God, 39:34 the Qur'an is mentioned first, then the 39:36 creation of man. I will simply 39:40 summarize it like this. There is no 39:43 point in our life in this world 39:46 if we do not learn the Qur'an. That is 39:49 what it means. That is why the blessing 39:51 of the Qur'an is higher, the blessing 39:53 of teaching the Qur'an is higher than 39:55 the blessing of being created as humans 39:57 . Because if in this life journey we 40:00 have been created as humans, but we do 40:03 not learn the Qur'an, 40:05 it is useless. 40:06 Right. It is useless. Indeed, the 40:08 teaching of the Qur'an is the highest 40:10 blessing. Yes, likewise Surah 40:13 Al-Jumu'ah, surah 62, juz 28, verse 11. 40:17 That was when the Prophet stood 40:21 teaching the Qur'an in his Friday 40:23 sermon to those who had embraced Islam. 40:27 At that time, some who were listening 40:29 to the Prophet's sermon were apparently 40:31 still hypocrites. As soon as they saw 40:35 entertainment, some distraction, then 40:38 saw their business, they left the 40:39 Prophet while he was teaching the 40:41 Qur'an. Well, Allah says at the end of 40:45 the verse, "Qul ma' indallahi khairum 40:47 minallahwi wa minat-tijarah, wallahu 40:49 khairur-raziqin." Say, what is with 40:52 Allah is better than the entertainment 40:55 they chase and the business they hope 40:57 for. And Allah is the best provider of 41:01 sustenance; yes, the Qur'an. Ladies and 41:04 gentlemen who are blessed by Allah, the 41:06 meaning of those two verses expositors 41:09 explain, "Wallahu khairur-raziqin." 41:11 First, Allah is the best of providers. 41:14 So, the Giver Himself. 41:17 But the second meaning is that the 41:19 sustenance Allah provides, which was 41:21 being abandoned by some hypocrites, is 41:23 the best of all sustenance Allah gives 41:25 to humans. Namely what? The teaching of 41:28 the Qur'an that was being delivered by 41:30 the Prophet. "Wa tarauka qa'ima," right 41:33 ? They left the Prophet standing alone 41:35 while he was teaching the Qur'an. So, 41:37 ladies and gentlemen, brothers and 41:40 sisters who are blessed by Allah, 41:43 listeners of Rasil Radio, viewers of 41:46 Rasil TV, try this experiment, 41:50 respect the teaching of the Qur'an as 41:52 highly as possible, and Allah will ease 41:54 our life's problems and provide 41:56 solutions in this world. But if we do 42:00 not show respect for the teaching of 42:04 the Qur'an, notice that life will be 42:07 difficult. Why? Because this is the 42:10 highest sustenance. 42:12 I knew a person, Kang Fahri, just an 42:15 ordinary person, an average employee. 42:19 He wasn't, well, just what you might 42:22 call an office boy or something at a... 42:26 Ministry. Because in a ministry, they 42:29 aren't office boys, but what was the 42:32 term? I forgot the term. So he was just 42:36 helping out. He wasn't a permanent 42:38 employee or a civil servant. Just 42:40 helping, but he was extraordinary. His 42:44 five children all managed to graduate 42:46 from college. 42:47 Right. Also, his life was peaceful and 42:50 pleasant. His needs were met. He had a 42:55 house, this and that, and so on. And 42:57 his passing was also a good end, a 42:59 husnul khatimah. One of the things that 43:02 I personally witnessed, which is why I 43:04 can claim or dare to call it a husnul 43:06 khatimah, is because of the signs with 43:08 Kang Fahri: 43:11 his face was radiant when he passed, 43:13 and his lips were smiling. 43:16 and so on, several signs of a person 43:17 who has a good end (husnul khatimah). 43:19 Now, brothers and sisters who are 43:21 blessed by Allah. One of his habits was 43:25 respecting the teaching of the Qur'an. 43:30 So, at the mosque near his house, where 43:32 I also often teach, there are Qur'anic 43:35 studies ranging from tahsin to 43:37 makharijul huruf. And he always 43:40 participated there. His habit was to 43:43 always prepare food to bring there. 43:46 Sometimes he would make boiled peanuts, 43:49 sometimes boiled cassava, without 43:51 anyone paying him, without anything in 43:53 return, and he wasn't a wealthy man 43:55 either. So, that was a burden for him. 44:00 Then, if someone came to his house, the 44:02 Qur'an teachers were always, well, what 44:04 you might call, respected. 44:06 Respected, honored, 44:07 honored. He would prepare this and that 44:10 , some kind of...Some gifts, this or 44:13 that. If we calculate the monetary 44:15 value, the gifts were quite inexpensive 44:17 . Buying bananas or something else, but 44:19 he would bring it to them. Teachers 44:23 usually don't want to be given things 44:25 like that; an Ustaz or similar might 44:28 feel uncomfortable receiving them. But 44:32 as the ones being taught the Qur'an, it 44:35 is we who are in need. We are the ones 44:38 who need it. I truly witnessed this as 44:42 a life solution, you see. We need it as 44:45 a solution for life. Now, that happened 44:48 to the person I told you about earlier, 44:49 brothers and sisters blessed by Allah; 44:50 it was extraordinary. If calculated by 44:53 human logic or reason, it would be 44:55 impossible for him to achieve what he 44:58 achieved throughout his life's journey. 45:01 Passing away in a state of husnul 45:03 khatimah, living peacefully, having no 45:05 debts, and so on. All his children were 45:08 schooled to the highest level. Brothers 45:10 and sisters blessed by Allah. So that 45:12 was because of respecting the teaching 45:15 of the Qur'an, it was a blessing. That 45:18 is roughly how it is. Next, this is the 45:21 sixth point that we haven't conveyed in 45:23 the previous meeting. So, if earlier as 45:29 a student we received Qur'anic teaching 45:31 , that is the highest form of 45:32 sustenance. Now, if we are in the 45:36 position as a Qur'an teacher, as a 45:38 preacher carrying the Qur'an, conveying 45:41 the Qur'an to people, even if it is 45:43 only to one person, brothers and 45:46 sisters blessed by Allah, that is a 45:48 blessing. Masha Allah. 45:51 Yes, if receiving Qur'anic instruction 45:53 was the greatest blessing. Well, this 45:55 one is no less great, although perhaps 45:57 not the greatest. So, teaching the 45:59 Qur'an is also a form of sustenance. 46:01 Where is the proof? Surah Al-Mu'minun, 46:03 chapter 23, verses 71 to 72. The 46:09 phrasing is: auzubillah 46:10 minash-shaytanir-rajim. Wala wala 46:13 lawittaba'al-haqqu ahwa'ahum lafasadat 46:17 is-samawatu wal-ardu wa man fihinna. If 46:21 the truth were to follow the whims of 46:24 human desire, then the heavens and the 46:26 earth and whatever is in them would 46:29 surely have been ruined. Yes. Bal 46:33 atainahum bi-dhikrihim fahum 'an 46:35 dhikrihim mu'ridun. We have brought 46:38 down the reminder. That is the Qur'an 46:40 that is meant. Yes, as we will find 46:43 later in the 54th surah, surah Al-Qamar 46:46 . Walaqad yassarnal qur'ana lidz-dzikri 46:49 fahal mim muddakir. Repeated four times 46:51 in those verses, surah 54 mentions the 46:53 Qur'an is the reminder. We have 46:57 revealed it, we have brought them their 47:00 reminder, the Qur'an as a reminder for 47:04 them. But they turned away from that 47:06 Qur'an. Now, in verse 72, am tas'aluhum 47:10 kharjan. Do we ask for a reward from 47:17 you? Know that the reward from Allah, 47:20 from your Lord, is the best. Wahuwa 47:22 khairur raziqin. And He gives the best 47:27 reward to those who convey this 47:29 reminder, this Qur'an, to others, to 47:32 fellow humans. Yeah. 47:34 Yes. So, teaching the Qur'an. So, do 47:38 not worry, ladies and gentlemen, whom 47:39 Allah blesses. Sometimes we think, how 47:42 much money do we get for teaching the 47:46 Qur'an? But there are things that 47:48 cannot be calculated by logic, 47:50 namely what? Blessings. If we observe, 47:54 I often watch Qur'an teachers who are 47:57 sincere, who are genuine in the 48:00 villages. In my village, there is a 48:04 Qur'an teacher. Forgive me, if he gives 48:08 a lecture or something, I ask, "Pardon 48:11 me, Ustaz, how much are you paid, or 48:14 perhaps not paid, but given travel 48:17 expenses?" 48:19 It is very minimal, Kang Fahi. 48:21 Extremely minimal. 48:23 Then I ask about his personal life, his 48:25 children? Oh, one is schooling there, 48:27 one is schooling here, one has already 48:29 memorized thirty juz. Masyaallah. That 48:32 is the blessing that others do not get. 48:35 Living well, having no debt, and so on. 48:38 So, those blessings cannot be measured 48:42 by human logic. Now, that is sustenance 48:45 . Next, number seven, prayer. Then the 48:52 dhikr mentioned earlier, of course, the 48:54 best of which is the Qur'an and other 48:56 forms of dhikr, is sustenance. Ladies 48:59 and gentlemen, whom Allah blesses. 49:01 Sustenance. Where is the proof? Surah 49:03 Taha, starting from verse 130. Surah 49:07 Taha, surah number 20, 130 to 132. 49:12 Allah's words there. A'udzubillahi 49:14 minasyaitanirrajim. Fashbir' ala ma 49:16 yaquluna wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla 49:19 tulushsyamsi wa qabla ghurubiha. And be 49:23 patient with what they say. And glorify 49:27 your Lord with the highest praise 49:30 before...The setting of the sun and 49:33 before the rising of the sun and after 49:36 the setting. Yes. Wa min ana-il laili 49:42 fasabbih wa atra-an nahar. Likewise, in 49:48 the parts of the night, glorify Allah. 49:53 And likewise during the day. La'allaka 49:56 tardha, so that you may be content and 49:59 pleased. And in verse 131, wala 50:04 tamuddanna 'ainayka ila ma matta'na 50:08 bihi. And do not let your eyes turn 50:12 away. And do not turn your eyes away 50:15 from them, from those who mention the 50:19 name of Allah throughout the night and 50:22 the day. Seeking the pleasures of 50:27 worldly life. Meaning, "We have granted 50:34 some of them the splendor of worldly 50:37 life to test them," for the worldly 50:40 enjoyments and all their attractions 50:42 are given to humans to test them. So, 50:50 there are people given the Quran, but 50:52 perhaps they are not given much of this 50:55 world. And there are those given much 51:00 of this world but are not given the 51:02 Quran, not given Quranic teachings, not 51:04 given submission through the joy of 51:06 prayer and so on. So, do not turn our 51:11 eyes to follow those who, what? Those 51:16 who do not receive the sustenance of 51:18 prayer and dhikr, because that is 51:20 merely a test Allah has given them. The 51:24 next phrase, "Wa rizqu rabbika khair." 51:27 And the sustenance from your Lord is 51:29 better and more lasting. What is the 51:32 sustenance referred to in verse 132? " 51:36 Wa'mur ahlaka bis-salahi wastabir' 51:38 alaiha." Therefore, Allah says, "Enjoin 51:42 prayer upon your family and be 51:44 steadfast in enjoining it upon them." 51:48 So, what is meant is prayer and the 51:51 aforementioned dhikr to Allah Subhanahu 51:55 wa Ta'ala. "La nas'aluka rizqa." We do 51:58 not ask for sustenance from you. "Nahnu 52:01 narzuquka." It is We who provide 52:03 sustenance to you. "Wal- 'aqibatu 52:05 lil-muttaqin." And the best outcome 52:07 belongs to those who are righteous. So, 52:11 prayer is specifically mentioned, and 52:13 dhikr is also specifically mentioned as 52:15 a form of sustenance from Allah 52:17 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Being able to pray 52:22 with humility and perform dhikr is, 52:24 Masha Allah, a form of sustenance, Kang 52:25 Fahi and all brothers and sisters 52:27 blessed by Allah. Lastly, the eighth 52:31 and final one. A form of sustenance we 52:37 rarely realize, which is the fear of 52:40 Allah. 52:44 The fear of Allah is a form of 52:45 sustenance. In Surah An-Nur verses 37 52:49 and 38, Allah tells of a person, a man, 52:52 "Rijalun la tulhihim tijaratun wa la 52:55 bai'un' an dhikrillahi." There are men 53:00 whom neither trade nor sale distracts. 53:05 Likewise, entertainment or their 53:07 pleasures do not distract them. From 53:11 what? "An dhikrillahi." From 53:13 remembering Allah. And from 53:16 establishing prayer. And from giving 53:21 Zakat. So, they are not distracted from 53:25 the remembrance of Allah, from prayer, 53:27 and from giving Zakat. Yes. "Yakhafuna. 53:30 " Now, this is the fear. "Yakhafuna 53:34 yauman tataqallabu fihil-qulub." And 53:38 they truly always fear a Day when 53:41 hearts will be turned upside down, as 53:45 well as eyes. And likewise all sight or 53:49 vision. So, this person possesses that 53:53 fear and it is always present. " 53:56 Yakhafuna," the word implies they are 53:58 always feeling afraid. "Yauman 54:00 tataqallabu fihil-qulubu wal-absar." Of 54:03 a Day on which hearts and eyes will be 54:06 turned about. So, Allah says: " 54:10 liyajziyahumullahu ahsana ma amilu." 54:14 Meaning, so that Allah may grant them 54:16 the best reward for their deeds. For 54:19 their deeds, "wazidahum min fadlih," 54:22 and Allah adds from His bounty. " 54:24 Wallahu yarzuqu may-yasha'u bighayri 54:26 hisab." Allah bestows this provision 54:31 upon whom He wills without measure, 54:33 beyond human logic. Beyond logic. The 54:37 provision mentioned earlier is the 54:40 reward Allah gives, as well as the 54:43 provision of that fear of Him that one 54:47 maintains. Because that is how Allah 54:49 rewards them. 54:51 Yes, that's it. "Yakhafuna yawman 54:53 tataqallabu fihil-qulubu wal-absar." So 54:58 , if we feel fear of Allah, brothers 55:02 and sisters, cherish that feeling well. 55:09 Nurture it, protect it, and be grateful 55:12 for it. 55:15 Because it is a immense provision from 55:17 Allah, through which He will grant us 55:20 extraordinary rewards later. Yes, " 55:23 wallahu yarzuqu may-yasha'u bighayri 55:25 hisab." Without measure, without 55:28 calculation, beyond logic. Yes, exactly 55:31 . Okay, those are roughly eight 55:36 non-material provisions we have 55:39 compiled from the Quran to remind us 55:42 all. Many of us, perhaps including 55:48 myself, may have failed to be grateful 55:51 for non-material provisions. This is 55:55 where the danger lies. Because, as we 55:58 said earlier, there are only two 55:59 choices. "Imma shakiran wa imma kafuran 56:01 ," either grateful or ungrateful. If 56:03 one is not grateful, they are 56:05 ungrateful. And when we are ungrateful, 56:08 it is hard to find solutions because 56:09 Allah is not pleased with servants who 56:11 deny His blessings. Surah 39, Az-Zumar, 56:15 verse 7. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab. 56:18 Hopefully, this is beneficial for us 56:19 all. Billahi taufiq wal hidayah. 56:21 Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi 56:23 wabarakatuh. 56:24 Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 56:25 wabarakatuh. That was our Quranic 56:27 reflection with Ustadz Doni Amir Sagap, 56:30 discussing the theme of reflecting on 56:32 the Quran for life's solutions. The 56:35 goal of our life is to be grateful, as 56:37 the Ustadz mentioned. For those who 56:39 want to ask or join, you can send us a 56:41 message via WhatsApp at 0811999720. Or 56:46 call 0218451512. We will return shortly 56:51 . 56:52 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. 1:00:46 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Radio Rasil 1:01:01 for a united Islam, we are still here 1:01:04 with Ikhwan Nawat in the Quranic 1:01:06 reflection program with Ustadz Doni 1:01:08 Amir Sagap, discussing reflecting on 1:01:10 the Quran for life's solutions. Many 1:01:13 have already joined via WhatsApp, 1:01:15 Ustadz. Let me read the messages and 1:01:18 greetings. 1:01:19 Here are those greeting us tonight, 1:01:21 listening from Bapak Sodikin in East 1:01:23 Jakarta. "Thank you, Ustadz, for the 1:01:25 enlightenment and advice." You are most 1:01:27 welcome. Bapak Abdillah is also 1:01:30 watching. 1:01:31 And Ibu Lia Yahya, Bapak Mugi Jumana, 1:01:35 Bapak Herman, and many others. 1:01:38 Yes. 1:01:38 The first question is from Bapak or Ibu 1:01:41 , Ibu Heni in Sukabumi. 1:01:43 Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi 1:01:44 wabarakatuh. 1:01:45 Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 1:01:46 wabarakatuh. I am responding to the 1:01:48 situation regarding Quran teachers 1:01:50 today. How unbalanced society's 1:01:52 appreciation for Quran teachers is 1:01:54 these days. 1:01:55 They are willing to give anything to 1:01:57 teachers other than Quran teachers. It 1:01:59 even feels like bribery. Meanwhile, 1:02:01 Quran teachers, especially those in the 1:02:03 villages, are so belittled. Even though 1:02:06 their service is extraordinary in 1:02:08 educating the generation and the hope 1:02:09 of the Ummah. Yeah. 1:02:11 So perhaps it is fitting that the 1:02:13 blessings of knowledge vanish if the 1:02:15 Quran teachers themselves are not 1:02:17 valued. The question is, what must be 1:02:21 done so this phenomenon does not 1:02:22 continue, Ustaz? So that the blessings 1:02:25 of life remain. 1:02:26 That is all. Ah, right. Thank you, Ms. 1:02:29 Heni in Sukabumi. Yes, that is very 1:02:31 true, Ma'am. This is indeed a worrying 1:02:34 phenomenon. So if we look, there are 1:02:38 two large countries, I mean rich 1:02:40 countries, Kang Fahri and Ms. Heni, as 1:02:42 well as you, ladies and gentlemen, 1:02:45 viewers of Rasil TV and listeners of 1:02:47 Rasil Radio wherever you are. There are 1:02:52 two rich countries whose wealth is 1:02:55 extraordinary. 1:02:57 Yes. 1:02:58 Namely, first, Qatar, and the second is 1:03:02 Brunei Darussalam. People often 1:03:05 mistakenly say that Qatar is rich 1:03:08 because it has a lot of gas, a lot of 1:03:11 natural gas reserves. Likewise with 1:03:14 Brunei. Oh, it's natural that Brunei is 1:03:16 rich because it is an oil country, 1:03:17 right? 1:03:18 Actually, that is not how their story 1:03:20 of becoming rich goes. In the past, 1:03:23 Kang Fahri and ladies and gentlemen, 1:03:26 Rasil Radio listeners and Rasil TV 1:03:28 viewers, Qatar was once a poor country. 1:03:32 Even other people in other Arab 1:03:34 countries were embarrassed by Qatar, 1:03:37 because it was a poor fishing nation. 1:03:41 Yeah. 1:03:41 But they have long ago, what is it 1:03:45 called? Declared themselves to make the 1:03:48 Quran their state law. 1:03:50 Yes. 1:03:51 Right? As their state law, and they 1:03:55 truly made the Quran into something 1:03:57 that was used as a basic guideline. 1:04:00 Truly. 1:04:01 Right. Now, for Muslims, of course, 1:04:04 what about those who are not? They have 1:04:08 their own rules which then make 1:04:11 non-Muslims able to live in Qatar, but 1:04:14 there are etiquettes applied to them. 1:04:18 Now, only after that did they discover 1:04:21 gas reserves that are still present to 1:04:23 this day. But if we look at the gas 1:04:27 reserves or natural gas production, 1:04:29 Qatar is not the largest in the world. 1:04:33 It is only number three. 1:04:34 Yes. 1:04:35 The largest is Russia, right? But 1:04:38 Russia is not as prosperous as that, is 1:04:40 it? So, that blessing is what makes the 1:04:43 difference. So we must understand the 1:04:46 journey of Qatar becoming the richest 1:04:49 country in the world until today, it 1:04:52 was not getting the gas first, but 1:04:55 making the Quran their law first. 1:04:58 Commitment to the Quran first, and only 1:04:59 then did they get the gas reserves. 1:05:00 These gas reserves were always there, 1:05:03 but why were they only discovered 1:05:06 afterwards? Now, this is a form of the 1:05:08 blessings of the Quran. Likewise with 1:05:10 Brunei Darussalam. 1:05:12 Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah bless 1:05:13 you. Brother Fahri, Brunei Darussalam 1:05:17 has long had oil, but the oil reserves 1:05:19 that were discovered, explored, and 1:05:22 exploited to become a source of 1:05:24 prosperity came much later, you see. 1:05:28 Well, even before that, Brunei had 1:05:30 already committed itself to making the 1:05:32 Qur'an its positive law. In fact, I 1:05:35 have stories from friends in Brunei, 1:05:38 both those who have visited and those 1:05:40 who live there, that they truly hold a 1:05:43 memorizer of the Qur'an in incredibly 1:05:45 high regard. So, if you memorize the 1:05:48 Qur'an in Brunei, 1:05:49 you just need to report it to the local 1:05:50 neighborhood or district authorities. 1:05:52 Then, a test will be arranged to see if 1:05:54 you truly have it memorized or not. All 1:05:56 30 juz. If this person truly has 1:05:59 memorized the 30 juz of the Qur'an, 1:06:01 they don't have to do anything else, no 1:06:03 need to teach, no need for anything. 1:06:05 Just by being recognized as a hafiz, 1:06:07 they receive an allowance. 1:06:08 Masha'Allah. 1:06:09 And the allowance is no joke, Brother 1:06:11 Fahri. 1:06:12 According to my friend, it's equivalent 1:06:14 to the salary of a state-owned 1:06:16 enterprise manager, you know. If here, 1:06:18 how much would a state-owned enterprise 1:06:20 manager earn? Maybe 40 million or 1:06:22 something a month, just for doing 1:06:25 nothing. Especially if they want to 1:06:27 teach, 1:06:29 teaching at a mosque or elsewhere, that 1:06:33 adds even more to their welfare. So, we 1:06:38 must shift our paradigm. Don't wait 1:06:41 until you are wealthy before you start 1:06:43 respecting Qur'an teachers. Conversely, 1:06:45 it is by respecting the teaching of the 1:06:47 Qur'an that the blessings of knowledge 1:06:49 will come. Now, as Ms. Heni mentioned 1:06:51 earlier, the current phenomenon is very 1:06:53 true. 1:06:54 Parents are often willing to give gifts 1:06:57 or whatever else to teachers of 1:07:00 subjects other than the Qur'an so that 1:07:03 their children can graduate with good 1:07:06 marks or high scores. But for Qur'an 1:07:10 teachers, there is an anecdote like 1:07:11 this, Brother Fahri. 1:07:13 Yeah. If a TPA teacherโbecause 1:07:16 parents haven't paid for their child to 1:07:20 attend TPA, even though it's only 1:07:22 50,000 rupiah a monthโ 1:07:25 finally, in the child's Iqra book, they 1:07:31 write: Ba-Ya-Ra. "Please have your 1:07:35 mother or father sign this." It spells 1:07:37 "bayar," which means pay. Ba-Ya-Ra. The 1:07:41 teacher was quite surprised. As soon as 1:07:45 the Iqra book was returned to the 1:07:46 teacher, brought back by the student, 1:07:48 it turned out there was a reply from 1:07:50 the parents. It was also written in 1:07:53 Arabic script. If the previous one was 1:07:55 Ba-Ya-Ra for "pay," 1:07:57 the parents had written back: Sha-Ba-Ra 1:07:59 . "Sabar," meaning be patient. Even 1:08:04 though the payment was only a small 1:08:06 amount. This is, this is the importance 1:08:08 of it. So, what is the solution? We 1:08:11 start with ourselves, ladies and 1:08:12 gentlemen. So, start with ourselves. So 1:08:15 , if we have grandchildren, yes, or 1:08:16 children or grandchildren who study the 1:08:18 Quran, let us respect their teachers. 1:08:21 Yes, it is not, not for anything else. 1:08:23 Because the blessings of the Quran will 1:08:25 eventually return to us. Now, that is 1:08:27 something we can do. If you, ladies and 1:08:30 gentlemen, have children who are 1:08:31 already married, yes, have 1:08:32 grandchildren. Well, tell these 1:08:34 children that they should also respect 1:08:36 the teachers who teach the Quran to 1:08:38 their children. If necessary, give them 1:08:40 the best compared to other teachers, 1:08:42 yes, compared to all. If other teachers 1:08:45 are given a gift of, let's say, a value 1:08:48 of 8, for instance, then the Quran 1:08:50 teacher gets 10, for example, yes. Now, 1:08:54 God willing, by doing so, we uphold the 1:08:56 sustenance of teaching the Quran, which 1:08:58 is the best provision from Allah 1:09:00 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That is roughly 1:09:02 how it is. 1:09:03 Right, moving on to the next question 1:09:05 from Ibu Purwanti. Ustaz, peace be upon 1:09:07 you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. 1:09:09 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:09:10 mercy. 1:09:11 After we finish our obligatory prayers, 1:09:13 is it better to read the Quran or to 1:09:16 recite wirid, Ustaz? Which one is 1:09:18 better than the other? 1:09:20 Oh, well. So after we pray, there is 1:09:24 indeed guidance in Fiqh. The Prophet 1:09:27 sallallahu alaihi wasallam exemplified 1:09:28 that we should, what is it? Recite 1:09:31 dhikr, yes, from the authentic hadiths 1:09:34 that we can gather and find. Later, if 1:09:37 you, ladies and gentlemen, perhaps ask 1:09:40 the ustaz here at Rasil who 1:09:42 specifically specialize in Fiqh, you 1:09:44 might get a better, clearer answer. But 1:09:48 to the best of my knowledge, there are 1:09:50 many hadiths that explain how, after 1:09:52 praying, we are indeed exemplified by 1:09:54 the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam 1:09:56 to recite dhikr. Now, after that dhikr 1:09:59 which is ma'thur, meaning the ones 1:10:01 exemplified by the Prophet, yes. After 1:10:05 that, we continue by reading the Quran 1:10:08 or memorizing it; doing that after 1:10:10 dhikr is very good, yes. That is 1:10:13 roughly the answer. 1:10:14 Right. There are several listeners who 1:10:16 also want to join Ustaz Doni's offline 1:10:19 study session. 1:10:19 Yes. 1:10:20 There is the Majelis Makbul Qurani 1:10:21 study session, Ustaz, right? 1:10:23 Yes, that's right. 1:10:23 Maybe they can join, perhaps. Anyone 1:10:25 who wants to join this study session 1:10:27 can contact the number we can mention, 1:10:29 Ustaz. 1:10:29 Sure. Please go ahead. 1:10:31 The number, for those who want to join, 1:10:32 please. You can note down the number, 1:10:34 brothers and sisters, at 0877 80211692. 1:10:41 Yes. 1:10:41 08778021192. 1:10:45 Yes. 1:10:46 Right, Ustaz. 1:10:47 So, every Friday morning, we have a 1:10:49 study session via Zoom. 1:10:51 Via Zoom only. 1:10:52 Via Zoom, at 5:20 AM we begin, and we 1:10:55 are indeed contemplating the surahs in 1:10:58 the Quran. We have now reached the 67th 1:11:02 surah, Surah Al-Mulk, Surah Tabarok. 1:11:05 Praise be to God. Please, if you, 1:11:08 ladies and gentlemen, wish to join, it 1:11:10 is free, there are no costs at all, and 1:11:13 thank God, the participants come from 1:11:15 all walks of life. God willing, 1:11:18 everyone wants to learn together. 1:11:22 Good morning, Friday morning, yes. 1:11:23 A Friday morning via Zoom after dawn 1:11:25 prayer is definitely 1:11:27 very refreshing. 1:11:28 Alhamdulillah. 1:11:29 Very well, Ustaz. We are limited by 1:11:31 time, but there is one last question 1:11:33 from a servant of Allah. Yes. 1:11:35 And later, simultaneously concluding 1:11:38 our discussion for today. 1:11:39 Yes. 1:11:40 Ustaz, peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:11:41 mercy and blessings. 1:11:42 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:11:43 mercy and blessings. 1:11:43 Ustaz, there are Quran memorizers whose 1:11:46 lives are not successful and not as the 1:11:48 Quran promises. Why is that the case, 1:11:51 Ustaz? I ask for your enlightenment and 1:11:53 advice. Thank you. 1:11:54 Yes. Yes. Thank you. This is an 1:11:57 important issue. The purpose of the 1:12:01 Quran being revealed is for us to 1:12:03 contemplate its meanings and then 1:12:06 implement them. As for memorizing and 1:12:11 reciting, those are just means to reach 1:12:14 the final goal. 1:12:16 Right. The final goal is to contemplate 1:12:19 and practice it. Understanding, 1:12:21 practicing, and making it our character 1:12:24 in daily life. So I repeat, reciting is 1:12:27 mandatory; we must study the science of 1:12:30 Quranic recitation. Why? So we don't 1:12:34 misread it. 1:12:36 Why is reciting the Quran correctly 1:12:38 important, 1:12:39 regarding Tajweed and the articulation 1:12:42 points (makharij)? Why? Because if the 1:12:44 articulation is wrong or the Tajweed is 1:12:46 wrong, the meaning is wrong. 1:12:47 The meaning is wrong. 1:12:48 If the meaning is wrong, the 1:12:49 understanding is wrong. If the 1:12:51 understanding is wrong, it cannot be 1:12:52 practiced. So the end goal is to 1:12:54 practice it. Yes. 1:12:55 Now, forgive me, pardon me. We might 1:12:58 recite it fluently, beautifully, with a 1:13:01 very pleasant tone. Upside down, from 1:13:04 top to bottom, from bottom to top, it's 1:13:06 pleasant. But are we implementing it? 1:13:09 Are we carrying it out? Are we changing 1:13:11 our character to match what the Quran 1:13:13 describes? Likewise, there are people 1:13:16 who memorize 30 Juz, 1:13:18 some memorize dozens, 20 Juz, 27 Juz, 1:13:21 and so on. But have they implemented it 1:13:25 and made the Quran their own character? 1:13:28 That's the point. Because they haven't 1:13:29 reached that far yet. It's like 1:13:31 traveling from Cibubur to Bogor. 1:13:33 Yes. 1:13:34 We might meet a rest area in Sentul. 1:13:36 Yes. 1:13:37 If we stop there for necessities or 1:13:40 needs, feel free. But that is not the 1:13:43 end of the trip. 1:13:43 There is still more. 1:13:44 There is still more; the end is in 1:13:46 Bogor because our destination is Bogor. 1:13:48 So don't spend too long there. So, just 1:13:51 memorizing, it's good, but that's not 1:13:53 the end. 1:13:55 Don't be proud just because you can 1:13:57 memorize it. Don't stop there because 1:14:00 that is not the goal. This is what is 1:14:02 currently happening to us, especially 1:14:04 to Muslims in Indonesia. Many children 1:14:07 are memorizing the Quran, and that is 1:14:09 excellent. We just need to add, to 1:14:12 inject motivation so they adopt the 1:14:14 Quranic character as their life 1:14:16 character and practice it daily. I will 1:14:19 give one example, Kang Fari. Just a 1:14:21 little bit, to add to this and close 1:14:24 our study this evening. There is one 1:14:28 character of Iblis (Satan) in the Quran 1:14:30 . You see, there were three who were 1:14:32 expelled from heaven, Kang Fahi. 1:14:34 Yes. 1:14:34 Iblis, Prophet Adam, and Siti Hawa. 1:14:36 Right. 1:14:37 Both were expelled from heaven, both 1:14:39 made mistakes in heaven. But the 1:14:41 difference is that Iblis was cursed by 1:14:43 Allah. Prophet Adam and Siti Hawa were 1:14:45 then cherished by Allah. Yes, even 1:14:48 though both had been expelled. Why is 1:14:50 that? Because the difference is that 1:14:53 Prophet Adam, when expelled, blamed no 1:14:56 one. He did not even blame Iblis. Even 1:14:59 though the one who tempted Prophet Adam 1:15:01 was Iblis. 1:15:02 Meanwhile, Iblis, when expelled from 1:15:04 heaven, blamed Allah. In Surah 7, verse 1:15:08 16, he said this. Fabima agwaitani 1:15:11 lahumakal mustaqim. "O Allah, because 1:15:14 You have decreed me to be lost."" 1:15:17 Because You have let me become like 1:15:19 this.""Ah, I will tempt the descendants 1:15:22 of Adam." 1:15:24 Prophet Adam never blamed Iblis, even 1:15:25 though Iblis tempted him. Right. 1:15:28 That is why Prophet Adam was cherished 1:15:30 by Allah. Surah 2, verses 37 and 38, 1:15:33 right? Verse 37, the sentence is " 1:15:37 Fatalaqo adamu birabbihi kalimatin 1:15:40 fataba alaihi innahua tawaburahim." 1:15:43 Allah taught one sentence directly to 1:15:45 Adam. Talaqo. Talaqi, yes. 1:15:47 Talaq. 1:15:48 Ah. Then with that sentence, Adam's 1:15:50 repentance was accepted and Adam was 1:15:52 blessed by Allah even though he had 1:15:54 sinned. Why? Because he did not want to 1:15:57 be a victim. He did not have a trait 1:15:59 called victim mentality. The mentality 1:16:02 of being a victim. 1:16:03 Hm. 1:16:03 That's it. Iblis has the trait of being 1:16:07 a victim. Victim mentality. So if in 1:16:10 our lives we easily become a victim in 1:16:13 an issue, we position ourselves as a 1:16:15 victim. "This is because of him, 1:16:18 because of you, because of this, 1:16:19 because of that." 1:16:21 Well, that is the trait of Iblis. 1:16:23 And that is far from Allah's mercy. 1:16:25 Even though one is diligent in reading 1:16:27 the Quran, even though one memorizes 1:16:28 the Quran. But if one has that trait, 1:16:30 there is no blessing in it. 1:16:31 Yes. 1:16:32 That is what I mean. Now, conversely, 1:16:35 if we learn from Prophet Adam, not 1:16:37 wanting to be a victim but instead 1:16:39 introspecting, then that is in verse 23 1:16:42 of Surah Al-A'raf earlier. Prophet Adam 1:16:45 and Siti Hawa, as soon as they were 1:16:47 taken out of heaven, they immediately 1:16:49 chivalrously said, "Qala rabbana 1:16:51 zhalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir 1:16:53 lana wa-tarhamna lanakunnanna minal 1:16:55 khasirin.""O Allah, we are the ones who 1:16:57 were wrong, we are the ones who erred." 1:16:58 "Even though Iblis tempted us, if we 1:17:00 did not want to, he could not do it."" 1:17:02 So forgive our past sins.""Teach us so 1:17:05 that in the future we can perform good 1:17:07 deeds and You bless those deeds." So 1:17:11 that is the character, that is the true 1:17:13 purpose of the Quran. That is the 1:17:16 reason for the earlier question, why do 1:17:18 people who memorize the Quran, it might 1:17:20 be that 1:17:22 what they have memorized is not yet 1:17:25 applied as a character in their daily 1:17:27 lives? Wallahu a'lam bishawab. That is 1:17:30 roughly it. 1:17:30 Alright. Subhanallah. Jazakallah Ustaz 1:17:33 Doni for your enlightenment today.
