Radio Rasil listeners and 6:26 Rasil TV viewers, may you be honored by 6:29 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. On this 6:34 occasion, we will continue our study 6:41 from the book I compiled, *40 Hadith 6:45 Based on the Qur'an*. Where on this 6:51 occasion, we have reached the 35th 6:56 hadith, yes, which is titled " 7:03 Mahabbatullah li-awliya'ihi" or " 7:06 Allah's Love for His Awliya (Close 7:08 Allies)." Who are these allies of Allah 7:12 ? What does 'wali' mean? Yes. And what 7:17 has Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala explained 7:19 and our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 7:21 alaihi wasallam clarified. Yes, let us 7:26 contemplate the words of Allah 7:30 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, among others in 7:35 Surah Yunus, verses 62 to 64. And also, 7:42 God willing, uh in the surah Al-Baqarah 7:55 verse 257. Yes, therefore, as usual, we 8:03 begin our contemplation by reading the 8:05 Mother of the Book, Surah Al-Fatihah. 8:09 Hopefully, by reading the Mother of the 8:11 Book, Surah Al-Fatihah, Allah Subhanahu 8:14 wa ta'ala will open our hearts to 8:16 understand His words. And may Allah 8:19 Subhanahu wa ta'ala cleanse our hearts 8:24 from all filth of shirk, arrogance, 8:27 showing off, envy, conceit, bad 8:29 assumptions, and various other heart 8:33 diseases. And may Allah Subhanahu wa 8:36 ta'ala forgive all our mistakes and 8:38 sins. All mistakes and sins of our 8:42 parents, our teachers, those who have 8:47 been kind to us, and also our brothers 8:49 and sisters, the believing men and 8:51 women. With every sincere intention and 8:55 in the presence of Prophet Muhammad 8:57 sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Al-Fatihah. 9:01 I seek refuge in Allah from the 9:03 accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, 9:06 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 9:10 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the 9:12 worlds, the Most Gracious, the Most 9:14 Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment 9:18 . You alone we worship and You alone we 9:22 ask for help. Guide us to the straight 9:26 path. The path of those upon whom You 9:31 have bestowed favor, not those who have 9:33 evoked [Your] anger or those who are 9:35 astray. Amen. We continue to Al-Baqarah 9:41 257. Allah is the Protector (Wali) of 9:46 those who believe; He brings them out 9:49 of darkness into the light. And those 9:54 who disbelieve, their allies are Taghut 9:58 (false deities) who bring them out of 10:01 the light into darkness. Those are the 10:06 companions of the Fire; they will abide 10:10 eternally therein. We continue to Surah 10:16 Yunus verses 62 through 64. 10:22 Unquestionably, [for] the allies of 10:24 Allah there will be no fear concerning 10:27 them, nor will they grieve. Those who 10:32 have believed and were fearing Allah. 10:37 For them are good tidings in the 10:40 worldly life and in the Hereafter. No 10:43 change is there in the words of Allah. 10:46 That is the great attainment. Allah has 10:50 spoken the truth, and His noble 10:52 Messenger has spoken the truth. We are 10:56 witnesses to that, and all praise is 10:58 due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Radio 11:03 Rasil listeners and Rasil TV viewers, 11:10 may you be blessed by Allah Subhanahu 11:13 wa ta'ala. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala in 11:20 Surah Al-Baqarah 257 says, "Allah is 11:23 the Protector (Wali) of those who 11:26 believe; He brings them out of darkness 11:31 into the light." Allah is the Wali. Now 11:37 , what is the meaning of 'wali' here, 11:39 why is Allah a 'wali'? Now, the 11:42 uniqueness of the word 'wali' here, ' 11:45 waliyun', is the root word of 'wali', 11:48 yes. This is a, uh, Sifat Musyabbah ( 11:50 resembling adjective), yes. Waliyun or 11:53 maula, these two words originate from 11:56 the verb waliya yali. Wali yali simply 12:02 means to be close, to be near. Whether 12:08 it is physical closeness, spiritual 12:14 closeness, or closeness in terms of 12:19 location. So, the word "wali yali" 12:24 carries that specific meaning. As is 12:28 often the case in Arabic, when 12:30 explained in textbooks, for example, 12:35 concerning the conditions of prayer, " 12:39 wa shurutuhu ma yali" comes from " 12:42 waliya yali," meaning the conditions 12:45 are as follows. Meaning that which 12:49 follows, what is near after this, the 12:51 next part, yes. So "wali yali" leads to 12:59 "wilayah," which can become "area" that 13:04 is close to us, or the region around us 13:09 , a territory; it has even become an 13:14 Indonesian loanword for region. Now, 13:21 the words waliyun or maula are unique. 13:29 They can function as a fa'il (active 13:31 participle), or they can function as a 13:35 maf'ul (passive participle). The word 13:41 wali can be a fa'il, derived from 13:44 waliya, meaning someone who is near. Or 13:49 in the sense of waliya, it means to 13:51 protect, because one is near, they 13:53 become the protector. So, this word 13:57 wali can mean fa'il, the protector, or 14:02 maf'ul, the one protected. Because of 14:06 their closeness, they are called, well, 14:09 what is it, a wali. Now, from here we 14:13 will understand. When Allah Subhanahu 14:17 wa ta'ala says, "Allahu waliyulladzina 14:20 amanu." Allah is. Now, this is in the 14:24 form of a fa'il. Allah is the protector 14:27 of those who believe. It cannot be 14:29 interpreted as a maf'ul. Because a 14:31 maf'ul means the one who is protected. 14:34 Yes, exactly. So, the word wali 14:38 functions like that. Likewise with the 14:43 word maula, it is the same. We often 14:46 mention the Prophet's maula, Allahu 14:48 maulana, meaning Allah is our protector 14:53 . Allahu maulana la maula siwa. Yes, 14:57 Allah is our protector. There is no 14:59 protector other than Allah Subhanahu wa 15:01 ta'ala. So Allahu maulana, yes. Hua 15:08 maulakum fani'mal maula wa ni'man nasir 15:10 . He is your protector. Fanikmal maula 15:14 wani'man nasir. So Allah is the best 15:17 protector and the best helper. So, when 15:22 attributed to Allah, it means fa'il, 15:25 the doer, Allah is the protector. But 15:30 the word wali can also be interpreted 15:33 as a maf'ul when applied to a servant, 15:36 meaning waliyun. Yes, he is a waliullah 15:40 . Waliyun, the plural is aulia. So, 15:43 aulia Allah. Waliullah means the one 15:48 protected by Allah or the one brought 15:50 near by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That 15:53 is how it is. Maula is also the same as 15:56 mentioned before. Maula when applied to 15:58 Allah is maulana. Allahu maulakum 16:05 ya'shirukum. Allah is your protector 16:13 and your helper. Maula can also be 16:18 interpreted as a maf'ul, meaning the 16:20 one who is protected. Yes, like that. 16:24 You know, there were many former 16:27 servants and enslaved people freed 16:30 during the time of the Prophet, peace 16:34 be upon him, and they became what? They 16:39 became companions, referred to as " 16:42 maula," like the companion Salim. He 16:47 was the maula of Abu Hudzaifah. In this 16:51 context, maula actually means a former 16:53 slave. It means someone who is 16:59 protected, cared for, and given support 17:06 and guidance. Salim, the maula of Abu 17:10 Hudzaifah. So here, maula does not mean 17:15 protector or master. It is used in the 17:18 sense of the object (maf'ul). However, 17:20 when referring to Allah or "Maulana," 17:23 it means Allah is our protector and our 17:25 master. Now, the word "wali," its 17:31 plural is "auliya." For "maula," the 17:34 plural is "mawali." Right. Now, when 17:39 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala explains, " 17:41 Allahu waliyulladzina amanu." Allah is 17:46 the protector and guardian who is close 17:49 to those who believe. Yes, that is the 17:52 word "wali.""Yukhrijuhum minadzulumati 17:56 ilan nur." It is Allah who brings them, 18:02 those believers, out. "Minadzulumati," 18:05 from the darkness, "ilan nur," into the 18:09 light. So, Allah as the protector of 18:13 the believers, a guardian and lover of 18:17 them, protects them and leads them out 18:20 of the darkness and into the light. 18:26 Like the Quran and the mission of our 18:28 Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. 18:31 The mission of the prophets is " 18:33 litukhrijannasa minadzulumati ilan nur. 18:36 " To bring mankind out of the darkness 18:40 and into the light. That is the mission 18:44 of the Prophet and the messengers, it 18:47 is the mission from Allah Subhanahu wa 18:50 ta'ala. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 18:53 emphasizes here: "Allahu waliyulladzina 18:56 amanu yukhrijuhum minadzulumati ilan 18:59 nur." Allah is the protector and 19:03 guardian of those who believe. Yes, it 19:07 is Allah who brings them out of the 19:08 darkness and into the light. Conversely 19:11 , "walladzina kafaru auliyauhumut 19:14 thaghut." From the word "wali," the 19:16 plural is "auliya." Conversely, for 19:20 those who disbelieve, their protectors 19:23 and guardians—those who are close to 19:25 them—are the Thaghut. Thaghut means 19:30 anything worshiped or taken as a god 19:33 other than Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 19:36 It can be in the form of idols, 19:42 positions, people, or even an 19:48 organization. If those things are 19:52 prioritized over Allah Subhanahu wa 19:56 ta'ala and loved more than Allah 19:59 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, then they become 20:02 Thaghut. But what happens then? " 20:06 Yukhrijuhum minanuri iladzulumat." Yes, 20:09 the opposite of the former; it will 20:11 lead them out of the light and into the 20:14 darkness. Those who were originally 20:19 enlightened, where humans were 20:21 naturally able to see the truth, 20:24 whether through their conscience or 20:27 their common sense. Because this is a 20:32 gift from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 20:35 that He bestowed upon humans to 20:38 distinguish between truth and falsehood 20:41 ; He gave us a conscience and a sense 20:44 of shame. All of that is part of 20:49 Allah's grace so that humans inherently 20:53 possess a light within themselves. He 20:59 is given common sense to be able to 21:02 distinguish what is good, what is right 21:05 . But when he leans toward, he is close 21:09 to the taghut, then that taghut will 21:11 pull them out of the light. The light 21:16 within their conscience leads to 21:18 darkness, the darkness of polytheism. 21:22 Yes, if a person is a believer, their 21:25 conscience is added with the light of 21:28 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, the light of 21:31 their inner self, the light of their 21:34 conscience or nature, and also the 21:37 light of their reason, this gift from 21:39 Allah is added by Allah with another 21:42 light: the light of the Noble Qur'an, 21:45 the guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa 21:48 ta'ala. This is what is called "light 21:52 upon light" in Surah An-Nur. Light upon 21:55 light. Light upon light. In Arabic, if 22:00 there are two indefinite nouns repeated 22:04 in one word, it shows that the first is 22:07 different from the second. This is 22:10 light upon light. Meaning light upon 22:13 light. The first light is light. The 22:16 light that is within humans, which is 22:19 the light of nature, then added with 22:21 the light of the Noble Qur'an. This is 22:24 light upon light. This is for those who 22:29 believe. But as for those who 22:32 disbelieve, those who deny the words of 22:36 Allah, deny the blessings of Allah 22:40 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, deny the Prophet 22:43 Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, 22:47 and at the same time deny Allah, their 22:52 guardians are the taghut who lead them 22:55 out of the light into darkness. They 23:00 are the companions of the Fire. They 23:03 are the inhabitants of the hellfire. 23:06 They will abide therein. They are 23:09 eternal there. We seek refuge in Allah 23:11 from that. Yes, hopefully we do not 23:13 become guardians of the taghut. 23:16 Guardians of Satan, as it were. 23:19 Now, if they are guardians of Allah, 23:22 then Allah leads them out of darkness 23:25 into light. Generally, they are surely 23:30 people who believe. What are believers 23:32 like? This is explained more clearly: 23:37 who are the guardians of Allah that 23:40 Allah loves, protects, and grants His 23:42 mercy to? Allah mentions this in Surah 23:48 Yunus, which we just read. "Behold, 23:51 indeed, the guardians of Allah, there 23:53 will be no fear concerning them, nor 23:54 will they grieve." Know the guardians 23:59 of Allah. "Auliya" is the plural of " 24:02 wali" earlier. The meaning of "auliya" 24:05 here, if applied to humans, means the 24:07 object. It means people who are 24:10 protected by Allah, people who are 24:13 sheltered by Allah. People who are 24:16 close to Allah, who are brought near to 24:19 Allah. Who are they? What is their 24:23 state? There will be no fear concerning 24:25 them, nor will they grieve. They are 24:30 the people who feel no fear and do not 24:33 feel sorrow. Yes. No fear concerning 24:37 them. Yes. The sentence means there is 24:40 no fear for them. It means Allah 24:44 Subhanahu wa ta'ala removes fear from 24:46 them. No fear concerning them. Because 24:48 why? Because their protector is Allah 24:50 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Their guardian is 24:53 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Yes. If 24:57 someone is protected by, for example, a 25:00 ruler who has power and weaponry, well, 25:03 compared to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, 25:05 who is stronger? Yes, even a superpower 25:10 is very small in the eyes of Allah, 25:13 like dust. Sometimes they can be wiped 25:18 out and destroyed like the nations of 25:21 the past. Nations that had great power 25:26 and strong weaponry at that time 25:30 boasted of themselves. Some were 25:34 destroyed by water, some by wind, some 25:39 by sound, yes, by the armies of Allah 25:43 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Some were 25:48 destroyed by stones and so on. Compared 25:54 to the power of Allah, everything is 25:56 small. Never mind those rulers, the 26:00 world is even bigger than those rulers. 26:05 This world is like dust compared to the 26:08 planets, stars, the sun, and the 26:11 celestial bodies in this universe; it 26:15 is like a speck of dust. Now, this is, 26:21 if someone is under Allah's protection, 26:24 surely "la khaufun alaihim wala hum 26:26 yahzanun." There is no fear for them, 26:32 and they will not feel sad. Yes, "la 26:39 khaufun" here means how optimistic they 26:43 are, how great their souls are. Yes, 26:49 sometimes there is also a sense of fear 26:52 that is inherent in nature, a human 26:55 trait. That is natural. Oh, being 26:59 afraid of a snake, for example, that is 27:01 not what is meant here. Reflexes. 27:04 That kind of worry is natural and human 27:08 , but this refers to how their souls 27:11 are so strong, so deep, so full of 27:15 optimism; they do not despair of the 27:18 mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. La 27:23 khaufun alaihim. They are brave, brave 27:27 in upholding the truth, brave in saying 27:31 what is wrong and what is right. La 27:36 khaufun alaihim wa la hum yahzanun. As 27:38 in another verse regarding the 27:40 characteristics of the believers. La 27:43 yakhafuna fi-llahi laumata la'im. They 27:48 do not fear the blame of any critic 27:51 when carrying out Allah's commands and 27:54 upholding the truth. Usually, people 27:57 who voice the truth are often mocked, 28:01 often antagonized, often ostracized, 28:04 often what? Discredited, even often 28:07 slandered and dragged through the mud. 28:10 Well, they are not afraid. La khaufun 28:12 alaihim wa la hum yahzanun. These are 28:16 the Auliya of Allah. Yes, we can see 28:19 who is brave enough to uphold the truth 28:22 . Yes, even if they are mocked, 28:25 slandered, ridiculed, or antagonized by 28:28 people, they are not afraid. They 28:33 continue to uphold the truth. That is 28:35 truly the mark of a Wali of Allah. So, 28:37 Allah has mentioned it. So, sometimes 28:38 people are confused, who is a Wali of 28:40 Allah? Don't imagine that if someone 28:42 looks a certain way, wearing a turban 28:44 or this, "Oh, this is a Wali of Allah." 28:47 No, look at the characteristics that 28:50 Allah has mentioned, because this is 28:53 something that lies within Allah's 28:56 judgment. Yes, Allah is the one who 29:00 knows and evaluates. Yes, some people 29:04 might dress up, showing off their 29:07 appearance. But in the eyes of Allah, 29:11 they are despicable. However, the true 29:15 allies of Allah are like this. La 29:17 khaufun alaihim wa la hum yahzanun. 29:20 There is no fear for them in upholding 29:24 the truth, in speaking what is right, 29:28 in identifying what is unjust or just. 29:35 There is no fear at all. La khaufun 29:38 alaihim. Wa la hum yahzanun. Usually, 29:44 khauf means worry about what is to come 29:48 . Yes, that is khauf. Fear, usually it 29:53 is fear. Like, what will happen next? 29:55 What is going on? Oh, afraid of being 29:57 insulted. Oh, afraid of being treated 29:59 as an enemy. Afraid of being ostracized 30:01 . The allies of Allah do not fear 30:03 things like that. Wa la hum yahzanun. 30:07 And they do not grieve either. Usually, 30:11 grief is about things that have already 30:13 passed. Yes, grieving because of some 30:18 loss, for example, no. Oh, because they 30:22 upheld the truth and were then 30:23 ostracized. Oh, do they grieve? No, 30:26 they don't. That is la khaufun alaihim 30:29 wa la hum yahzanun. These are the two 30:33 characteristics of the allies of Allah. 30:39 Then Allah emphasizes the overall 30:41 characteristics. Not just having no 30:45 fear and no grief, but alladzina amanu. 30:50 They, the allies of Allah, are the ones 30:52 who believe. Yes. Certainly, those who 30:58 believe in Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 31:01 Why are they close to Allah? Yes, the 31:04 word wali also means being close. Why 31:08 are they protected by Allah? They are 31:11 blessed and guarded by Allah because 31:13 they believe in Him. But if one does 31:17 not believe, they seek protection from 31:20 taghut. Taghut cannot actually protect 31:23 them. So, alladzina amanu, the 31:26 characteristic is that they are 31:28 believers, wa kanu yattaqun. And they 31:32 are the ones who are pious. Yes, 31:36 alladzina amanu. They are the ones who 31:39 have believed. Wa kanu yattaqun. And 31:44 they are always pious to Allah. What 31:48 does being pious mean? Yes, we have 31:50 often explained the signs, right? Look 31:53 at the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah 31:55 verses 1 to 5 or Al-Baqarah 177. Those 31:58 are the characteristics of the pious. 32:01 So, how to be pious: besides 32:04 establishing prayer, paying zakat, 32:07 believing in Allah, His angels, His 32:10 messengers, His books, and so on. The 32:13 pillars of faith are within them. Then, 32:18 it is also stated how they have good 32:21 social relationships, frequently giving 32:24 charity, not just zakat. Zakat is 32:28 something mandatory. Even things beyond 32:31 the mandatory, they always give. Yes. 32:36 Alladzina yunfiquun, what? Fis-sarra'i 32:39 wad-darra '. They give charity whether 32:43 they are in ease or in hardship. Uh, or 32:47 in that surah, in Surah Al-Imran, in 32:50 Surah Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran 133 to 135, 32:53 if I'm not mistaken, something like 32:55 that. Or as mentioned earlier, in Surah 33:00 Al-Baqarah, "wa atal mala' ala hubbihi 33:03 qurba wal yatama wal masakin." That 33:08 means they give their wealth even 33:10 though they...Love that wealth. Meaning 33:16 they need the wealth, but they still 33:18 give it away. This is not, not zakat, 33:21 you see. It means outside of that, 33:24 sometimes people, because they don't 33:26 have much wealth, they are not 33:28 obligated to pay zakat. Well, their 33:31 wealth doesn't meet the nisab, it 33:32 hasn't reached the minimum threshold, 33:34 so they are not obligated to pay zakat. 33:38 But even so, they are ready to help 33:39 others, giving their wealth "ala 33:41 hubbihi." Even though they love that 33:45 wealth, meaning they need that wealth. 33:49 Or "ala hubbihi" can be interpreted as, 33:52 yes, with their love. Meaning they give 33:55 it with a willing heart. Yes, this is 33:59 referred to as voluntary charity, or 34:02 nawafil. Meaning sunnah infaq, like 34:06 that. This is directly described by 34:10 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. If they make 34:12 a promise, they keep their word; they 34:14 are honest. That is the characteristic 34:17 of the pious, that is how they are. So 34:21 it is not about the appearance, not 34:23 about the exterior. There are people 34:27 whose exterior is wow, very convincing. 34:29 Hypocrites are like that too, you know. 34:32 "Wa idha ra'aitahum." If you see them, 34:37 you are amazed by their appearance. 34:41 Even though Allah does not judge based 34:43 on appearance. Although we are 34:45 commanded to look clean, to look good, 34:49 like that. But there are people who 34:53 dress in a certain way, with certain 34:57 features, so they are admired, so they 35:00 are praised, so they are called pious 35:03 people. Yes. Whereas Allah Subhanahu wa 35:08 Ta'ala, the Messenger said, "Verily, 35:10 Allah does not look at your faces nor 35:13 your bodies, but He looks at your 35:15 hearts and your deeds," and they are 35:17 the righteous. These are the people who 35:20 are pious. So, if you want to know who 35:24 the Auliya of Allah are, they are those 35:27 who believe and are pious to Allah, and 35:31 they are the ones who have no fear, nor 35:34 do they grieve. They have no grief when 35:39 they convey the truth, when they carry 35:42 out the commands of Allah Subhanahu wa 35:45 Ta'ala. Yes. Then what? Allah Subhanahu 35:52 wa Ta'ala...Gives glad tidings to them, 35:57 those who are the friends of Allah, the 36:00 people who are close to Allah. People 36:04 whom Allah protects, whom Allah 36:06 shelters. Yes, "Lahumul busyra fil 36:11 hayatid dunya." They will receive glad 36:15 tidings in this worldly life. And in 36:20 the hereafter as well. So in the world, 36:25 they receive glad tidings from Allah 36:27 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Whether those glad 36:30 tidings come through this Book of Allah 36:33 . Because the Quran is the word of 36:36 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. When they 36:40 possess the characteristics described 36:42 by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, know that 36:44 they are given glad tidings by Allah 36:46 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Yes, that they 36:50 will surely receive mercy from Allah 36:54 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. They will receive 36:58 happiness. "Fid dunya wa fil akhirah," 37:03 for them, there is good news in this 37:07 worldly life and in the hereafter. The 37:14 meaning regarding the hereafter, even 37:15 though they haven't passed away yet, 37:21 before they die, they are shown their 37:24 place in the hereafter, a pleasant 37:26 place in the hereafter. La tabdila 37:31 likalimatillah. There is no change to 37:34 the decrees of Allah Subhanahu wa 37:36 ta'ala. Yes, surely if Allah Subhanahu 37:41 wa ta'ala has decreed something, it 37:43 will not change. Dzalika huwal fauzul 37:46 adzim. That, indeed, is it is a great 37:54 success or a great victory. The 37:59 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 38:02 once said in a narration, from what was 38:06 narrated by Abu Hurairah, this was 38:10 recorded by Imam Bukhari in Sahih 38:13 Bukhari: "An Abi Hurairah radhiallahu 38:18 anhu, qal, qala Rasulullah sallallahu 38:20 alaihi wasallam, innallaha taala qal." 38:25 Yes, from Abu Hurairah radhiallahu anhu 38:27 , he said, "The Messenger of Allah, 38:29 peace be upon him, said, 'Innallaha 38:31 taala qal.'" Indeed, Allah Subhanahu wa 38:35 ta'ala says. Now, this indicates that 38:38 it is a Hadith Qudsi. This means a 38:42 Hadith Qudsi is the word of Allah whose 38:45 meaning is conveyed to the Prophet, but 38:48 the wording is composed by the Prophet 38:51 himself. Yes, it is like that. This is 38:54 the difference from the Quran. The 38:55 Quran is the word of Allah, and its 38:58 wording comes from Allah Subhanahu wa 39:01 ta'ala. The Prophet would not dare to 39:04 change it. Whereas for Hadith Qudsi, 39:06 the meaning is from Allah. But the one 39:08 who composed the wording is our Prophet 39:11 Muhammad, peace be upon him. That is 39:14 Hadith Qudsi. Therefore, because Hadith 39:18 Qudsi is treated like a hadith, a 39:20 transmitted narration, its authenticity 39:23 is not guaranteed in the same way. Yes, 39:28 its authenticity is not guaranteed 39:30 unless it is in accordance and 39:32 alignment with the word of Allah. 39:34 Because this Hadith Qudsi is a hadith 39:37 spoken by the Prophet. And it was not 39:41 written down during the time of our 39:43 Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. 39:45 The companions only memorized it. 39:48 Therefore, narrations regarding hadith 39:51 were always narrated by the companions 39:54 "bil makna," by their meaning. Because 39:58 they understood Arabic, they understood 40:00 the meaning and described it again 40:02 according to what the Prophet said, 40:04 because they did not write it down. 40:06 While the Quran was written down since 40:08 the time of the Prophet, hadith were 40:10 forbidden by the Prophet. In Sahih 40:12 Muslim, it is mentioned from Abu Sa'id 40:14 Al-Khudri radhiallahu anhu, "The 40:16 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 40:18 said, 'Do not write anything from me 40:20 other than the Quran.'" Do not write 40:22 anything from me except for the Quran. 40:26 "Man katabahu falyamhu." Whoever has 40:28 already written anything down, let them 40:30 erase it. This was ultimately a 40:32 prohibition from the Messenger of Allah 40:33 , peace be upon him, so that they would 40:35 not be mixed up. This was part of the 40:37 preservation of the Quran, so that it 40:39 would not be intermingled. In fact, 40:41 after that, the companions did write 40:44 down the Quran; the verses were written 40:46 neatly, but sometimes there were 40:49 marginal notes, like us, based on the 40:51 Prophet's explanation of what this 40:54 means. Like that, for example, Surah 40:58 An-Nisa verse 12 is about kalalah. Oh, 41:02 this is kalalah. Ah, what is this? Ibn 41:04 Mas'ud would mention it whenever he 41:07 read Surah An-Nisa verse 12, saying " 41:10 this is kalalah min um"(maternal side). 41:13 Kalalah means siblings, right? In verse 41:17 176, the last verse of Surah An-Nisa, 41:19 there is also mention of kalalah. 41:22 The meaning relates to the discussion 41:24 of inheritance. Kalalah means siblings. 41:28 Siblings. Now, the end of Surah An-Nisa 41:31 discusses full siblings, meaning 41:33 siblings of the same father and mother, 41:35 and siblings of the same father. Yes, 41:38 half-siblings from the father. But in 41:41 the 12th verse of Surah An-Nisa, it is 41:44 specifically about maternal siblings. 41:49 Therefore, when Ibn Mas'ud read this, 41:51 so he wouldn't forget or get confused. 41:56 In Surah An-Nisa, Allah Subhanahu wa 42:00 Ta'ala mentions "walahu akhun au ukhtun 42:05 min um," and he is reminded of "min 42:09 ummin," from... 42:11 from the mother. 42:12 Meaning, they have a brother or sister 42:16 from the same mother, like that. Now, 42:21 these things are actually explanations 42:23 from the Prophet sallallahu alaihi 42:25 wasallam. During the time of Sayyidina 42:29 Uthman, all of those were removed, 42:31 collected, and burned, the ones that 42:34 had... 42:35 additions. 42:36 Huh? Those additions were removed. 42:38 Essentially, those extra notes were 42:40 deleted so that the Quran would not be 42:43 mixed with anything else. Nowadays, we 42:47 have tafsir because the Quran is 42:50 already codified and has many 42:52 memorizers. It has been like that ever 42:55 since. If in the Prophet's time, 42:58 someone had made a written tafsir like 43:01 the books of Tafsir Tabari, Ibn Kathir, 43:04 or Jalalayn, which contain the Quran 43:07 and its explanation, that would not 43:09 have been allowed by the Prophet. This 43:13 would be considered a bid'ah ( 43:14 innovation). But this is a bid'ah 43:16 hasanah. 43:17 Meaning something new. It didn't exist 43:19 in the Prophet's time. But this was 43:22 after the Quran was safe and preserved. 43:26 Then scholars came to explain this so 43:30 that the Quran could be understood in 43:34 even greater detail. So, scholars wrote 43:39 books of tafsir based on explanations 43:41 from the Messenger and so on. Now, back 43:45 to the earlier point. So this is a 43:48 Hadith Qudsi. Innallaha ta'ala qal. 43:51 Indeed, Allah says, "Man 'ada li 43:54 waliyan faqad adhantuhu bil harb." Yes, 43:59 whoever shows hostility toward My wali, 44:02 meaning someone I protect, someone I 44:05 love, someone I look after, My wali, 44:10 then "faqad adhantuhu bil harb," I have 44:14 declared war against him. So this shows 44:18 how Allah protects His walis. If we 44:22 hurt the friends of Allah, it means we 44:25 are declaring war against Allah 44:27 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Then Allah 44:31 Subhanahu wa ta'ala explains how those 44:34 who are close to Allah Subhanahu wa 44:37 ta'ala can become the Auliya of Allah. 44:40 Yes. Allah mentions, "Wama taqarraba 44:46 ilaiya' abdi bisyai-in ahabba." My 44:52 servant does not draw near to Me with 44:55 anything more beloved to Me than what I 44:57 have made obligatory upon him. So, if 45:02 we want to draw closer to Allah, the 45:04 very first thing is to perform what is 45:07 mandatory. Yes, what has been obligated 45:10 by Allah upon us. The obligatory 45:13 prayers, the obligatory fasting, the 45:16 obligatory charity, meaning zakat, 45:19 things that are mandatory like that. We 45:23 must perform those. That is the 45:26 approach to Allah that I love most, 45:29 says the Prophet. But this is 45:33 approaching Him, it is the initial step 45:36 . However, Allah says, "Wala yazalu ' 45:40 abdi yataqarrabu ilaiya bin-nawafil." 45:44 But My servant continuously seeks to be 45:48 even closer to Me through the nawafil, 45:51 through the sunnah acts of worship. His 45:54 prayers are not just the five daily 45:56 prayers. He draws closer by performing 45:59 Tahajjud, by performing the Qabliyah 46:01 and Ba'diyah prayers, and other sunnah 46:04 prayers. That is part of our effort if 46:07 we want to be even closer to Allah. But 46:10 the first one was what is obligatory. 46:14 Do not let us perform the sunnah, while 46:16 the mandatory ones are 46:18 left behind. 46:18 Left behind. There are people who say, 46:20 "Oh, in the month of Ramadan, they are 46:23 diligent in performing Tarawih, but 46:25 their mandatory prayers are often 46:27 missed." Yes, it shouldn't be like that 46:29 . The obligatory prayer is the basic 46:31 capital. It is like, like someone doing 46:36 business, if he performs the 46:39 obligations, it is like he has reached 46:42 the break-even point; he will not 46:45 suffer a loss. Meaning he has already 46:50 reached, well, he is even. But if he 46:54 wants to make a profit, that is how it 46:56 is. We are often described by Allah 47:00 Subhanahu wa ta'ala as if we are doing 47:03 business with Allah, yes, trading, 47:06 buying and selling with Allah. Allah 47:11 says, "Innallaha isytara minal 47:14 mukminina anfusahum wa amwalahum 47:17 bi-anna lahumul jannah." Indeed, Allah 47:21 has purchased from the believers, Allah 47:23 buys from us, from the believers, what? 47:26 Their wealth and their souls, purchased 47:29 with what? With paradise. Bi-anna 47:31 lahumul jannah. Yes, we are transacting 47:35 with Allah, but it is a unique 47:37 transaction with Allah. Yes, if we 47:40 transact with people, we have to find 47:44 the capital ourselves. We must also 47:47 learn the knowledge for it. And all the 47:50 necessities, the requirements, the 47:52 promotions, everything, we have to work 47:53 for it ourselves. But if transacting 47:56 with Allah, the capital comes from 47:58 Allah. The basic capital is the life 48:01 given, the opportunity, the time; this 48:04 is the primary capital. If we don't use 48:08 this opportunity of our lifetime while 48:11 we have yet to face Allah, we will be 48:13 at a loss. In Surah Al-Asr, Allah 48:17 swears by time, "Wal-asr." 48:20 Yes. Then, what is the capital? We are 48:24 given the strength to do good deeds, 48:26 which requires energy, right? From 48:32 Allah, everything. So all of this 48:36 capital comes from Allah. We want to 48:40 trade with Allah, but the capital comes 48:42 from Allah. And what's more? If you 48:45 trade with people, you buy one and get 48:47 one, right? But with Allah, we buy one 48:51 and get at least 10. "Man jaa bil 48:54 hasanati falahu asyru amsaliha." 48:58 Whoever performs one good deed, they 49:01 receive 10 times the reward. A 10-fold 49:09 reward means 1000%. In trading terms, 49:13 if there is a big sale, for example, 49:15 buy one get two, that’s at most 200%. 49:19 This is a minimum of 1000%. This is the 49:22 minimum when transacting with Allah 49:23 like that. Yes. Yeah. The more sincere 49:32 we are, it increases up to 700 times or 49:36 even more than that. This means that 49:41 when we trade, if we only do the 49:43 obligatory acts, we have just reached 49:45 the break-even point. Now, if we want 49:50 to be closer to Allah, want a higher 49:52 value, and more profit, this is what 49:54 Allah mentions. "Wala yazalu abdi 49:56 yataqarrabu ilai bin nawafil." My 50:00 servant continues to draw closer to Me 50:02 by performing voluntary deeds. "Hatta 50:06 uhibbahu" until I love him. Yes, if he 50:12 only does the obligatory, he is just 50:14 breaking even. But by the mercy of 50:17 Allah, inshaAllah, there was a Bedouin. 50:20 When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be 50:22 upon him) was with his companions, a 50:24 Bedouin came and called out from afar. 50:27 This Bedouin was like that; sometimes 50:29 his manners were lacking, "O Muhammad!" 50:32 he called out. The Prophet knew this 50:36 wasn't one of his companions calling, 50:39 so he answered him, "Haum"(I am here), 50:42 with a loud voice as well so he 50:44 wouldn't feel embarrassed. Because his 50:49 behavior was different from the 50:51 behavior of city people. The Prophet 50:54 treated him well like that. Then he 50:59 asked about Islam. Asked about the 51:02 pillars of Islam, explained the pillars 51:04 of faith, explained the pillars of 51:06 Islam, what are the obligations I must 51:08 do? Yes, after the Shahada, you perform 51:12 the five daily prayers. Then you are 51:15 commanded to fast in the month of 51:18 Ramadan. You are commanded to pay Zakat 51:21 . Yes, you are commanded to go on Hajj 51:25 if you are able. Is there anything else 51:29 besides this from the pillars of Islam? 51:32 No. Unless you want to perform 51:35 voluntary deeds. For example, if you 51:38 want to perform extra prayers besides 51:41 the obligatory ones, or fasting. 51:43 Besides the obligatory Ramadan fast, 51:45 you want to perform voluntary fasting 51:47 like that. Then what did that Bedouin 51:49 say? "La, la uridu," I don't want to. 51:52 It's said it’s just not mandatory. 51:54 And so he left. What did the Prophet 51:57 say? "Aflaha in sadaqa." The Prophet 52:00 said to his companions. He can succeed 52:02 if he is truthful. By doing the 52:05 mandatory things, the important things 52:07 I’ve taught him, he performs them. " 52:09 Aflaha" is like that, you see. Meaning, 52:12 by doing what is mandatory, God willing 52:14 , even if it's just the break-even 52:16 point, Allah is the Most Gracious and 52:19 Most Merciful, His mercy is so vast, he 52:21 can be saved. But, the paradise he gets 52:26 will be at a lower level. But if you 52:30 want higher, if you want to be loved by 52:34 Allah, to become a friend of Allah, 52:37 then you must practice the "nawafil"( 52:40 supererogatory acts) until I love him. 52:44 "Fa idza ahbabtuhu." When I love him, I 52:49 become his hearing with which he hears. 52:55 Meaning his hearing is protected by 52:59 Allah. "Wa basharulladzi yubsiru bihi." 53:04 And I become his sight with which he 53:07 sees. His sight is also protected by 53:10 Allah. "Wa yadulladzi yabstisu biha." 53:14 And his hands with which he acts, 53:18 whatever he does in his activities. "Wa 53:23 rijulladzi yamsyi biha." Yes. And his 53:27 feet with which he walks. Yes, meaning 53:31 he is always under Allah's protection 53:33 and care. Always reminded whenever he 53:36 is about to stray, for instance. These 53:40 are the people close to Allah. "Wa la 53:43 in sa'alani." If he asks Me, I will 53:47 surely give it to him. If he seeks 53:53 refuge in Me, I will surely protect him 53:55 . It is like that. That is a person who 53:58 is close to Allah. Because these are 54:02 also the traits of the believers and 54:05 those who fear Allah. Because the pious 54:11 person doesn't just give mandatory 54:15 charity, but also gives voluntary 54:19 charity. That is all I can share, I 54:24 hope it is beneficial. I apologize for 54:27 any shortcomings. Billahi taufiq wal 54:28 hidayah. Wassalamu’alaikum 54:29 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 54:31 Wa’alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 54:32 wabarakatuh. Jazakumullah khairan 54:33 katsiran, Ustaz. Thus, brothers and 54:36 sisters, is the knowledge shared by 54:38 Ustaz Hamzah about Allah's love for His 54:40 friends. It turns out we too, God 54:43 willing, can become friends of Allah. 54:47 Alright then. 54:48 We invite you to participate. You are 54:53 currently watching the live nightly 54:55 sermon with Ustaz Hamzah. Prepare your 54:58 questions via the Rasil WhatsApp number 55:02 at 0811999720. We will be right back. 55:09 Thank you. Alhamdulillahirabbil ‘ 57:40 alamin. Thank you, Iwan. Still with 57:42 Radio Silaturahim. You are currently 57:45 watching the live nightly sermon with 57:48 Ustaz Hamzah Al-Attas. We will continue 57:52 the study with Ustaz Hamzah regarding 57:54 Allah's love for His friends. First, we 57:59 will read a WhatsApp from Ibu Ani Hani 58:06 Hudaifah. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. 58:09 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 58:11 wabarakatuh. Alhamdulillahirabbil ‘ 58:13 alamin. Praise be to God, I am here 58:15 listening to the nightly sermon on 58:17 Radio Rasil. God willing, Ustaz Hamzah 58:20 and the extended Rasil family are in 58:22 good health. 58:23 Amen. 58:25 Then there is Mr. Komarudin in Karawang 58:29 who is also listening. Then we will 58:33 read the first question from Mrs. Yeti 58:36 Setiawati. Ustaz, 58:38 peace be upon you, and God's mercy and 58:39 blessings. And peace be upon you, and 58:41 God's mercy and blessings. 58:42 Thank you, Ustaz, for the knowledge. 58:44 May I ask, there is someone who has a 58:47 lot of wealth 58:49 Yes. 58:49 But it is not used to pay their zakat 58:52 mal (wealth tax). 58:54 It is only used for traveling the earth 58:57 . But they take many people with them, 59:00 Ustaz. Both their family and their 59:02 friends. Which is better, Ustaz? Is it 59:05 paying zakat mal or taking people on 59:08 trips with the intention of making them 59:11 happy, Ustaz? May God reward you with 59:13 goodness. 59:15 Yes. So, firstly, our basic principle 59:19 is that we must perform what is 59:21 mandatory first, right? What is 59:24 mandatory. The Prophet previously 59:27 mentioned in a hadith qudsi that Allah 59:30 says, "Wa taqarraba ilaiya' abdi 59:31 bisyai'in ahabba ilaiya 59:33 mimma-ftaraḍtu 'alaihi.""My servant 59:38 does not draw near to Me with anything 59:42 I love more than their performing what 59:45 I have made obligatory for them." So 59:49 that is the priority, right? After they 59:53 perform the mandatory, that is just 59:56 like reaching the break-even point; it 59:59 means they have not yet gained a profit 1:00:02 . Now, with the profit, feel free; they 1:00:06 can use it for other things, they can 1:00:08 ...give to their relatives, provide for 1:00:15 an Umrah, please their family—that is 1:00:17 fine, like that. So other deeds, yes... 1:00:26 please perform them, but the mandatory 1:00:29 one is a must. And in fact, this 1:00:32 mandatory one, as mentioned earlier. So 1:00:35 , there is an impression from what you 1:00:38 are asking that it seems they do not— 1:00:41 well, God knows best, maybe they have 1:00:44 already paid their zakat. But it is 1:00:48 better if mandatory zakat is done 1:00:53 openly, right? Because Allah Subhanahu 1:00:57 wa ta'ala, in this charity, says: "In 1:01:01 tubdus-sadaqati fani'imma hiya, wa in 1:01:04 tukhfuha wa tu'tuha al-fuqara' fahuwa 1:01:08 khairul-lakum.""...your charity..." If 1:01:16 you disclose your charity, it is good, 1:01:18 but... "...if you conceal it and give 1:01:24 it to the poor, that is better for you. 1:01:26 " So, there is charity that is shown so 1:01:32 people can know, it is allowed to be 1:01:34 announced, and there is also that which 1:01:37 is concealed; it is not like that. Now, 1:01:41 scholars state that if it is mandatory 1:01:45 charity or infaq, like zakat, it is 1:01:49 better to be shown because this is a 1:01:54 duty for anyone who is already 1:01:57 obligated to perform it. So it serves 1:02:01 as an example for them, as a model for 1:02:04 them. Because this is not something 1:02:08 that can be negotiated if it is 1:02:10 mandatory. Now, when it comes to the 1:02:14 optional, it can be concealed, it can 1:02:17 be unstated. Please go ahead. So, there 1:02:21 was an impression earlier, how about 1:02:24 someone who, for example, takes people 1:02:26 on trips, making people happy is good. 1:02:30 Yes, like that. But before that, he 1:02:34 should fulfill his zakat; perhaps, if 1:02:39 we have a positive assumption, he has 1:02:44 already paid his zakat like that. But 1:02:49 it would be better, although from the 1:02:51 impression of this question, it doesn't 1:02:54 look like he is paying zakat. Indeed, 1:02:57 it is better for it to be done so that 1:03:00 others are aware of the zakat being 1:03:02 paid. For example, where is the zakat 1:03:05 paid? To, to, to the zakat committee 1:03:10 like that. But we also shouldn't have 1:03:14 negative thoughts. "Oh, he's not paying 1:03:17 zakat." Perhaps he paid his zakat 1:03:20 directly, for example, by transferring 1:03:22 it to the zakat committee. We also 1:03:24 cannot know that for sure. So, it is 1:03:27 better for us to have a positive 1:03:28 assumption. Yes. That he has fulfilled 1:03:33 his zakat. Besides that, he also makes 1:03:38 his family happy, his close relatives, 1:03:41 like that. Hopefully, that is the case. 1:03:44 Wallahu'alam. Wallahu'alam bishawab. 1:03:47 That is all, Mrs. Yati, hopefully that 1:03:49 answers your question. So the 1:03:50 importance of positive assumption, 1:03:51 Ustaz? 1:03:52 Yes, it is important. 1:03:54 Next is a question from Mr. Baron. 1:03:57 Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and 1:03:59 blessings, Ustaz. 1:04:00 And peace be upon you and Allah's mercy 1:04:02 and blessings. 1:04:02 Ustaz, may I ask a question, Ustaz? Why 1:04:05 in general society, if someone can fly 1:04:08 or walk on water, are they called a ' 1:04:11 wali'(saint), Ustaz? While people who 1:04:13 are steadfast on the path of Allah are 1:04:15 never called 'wali', Ustaz? Please 1:04:17 enlighten me. 1:04:17 Yes, regarding this. 1:04:20 Because not every human judgment is 1:04:22 correct; sometimes people think, "Oh, 1:04:25 he can fly," and judge him like that, 1:04:27 but it is not like that. Sometimes 1:04:29 people can do that with magic or with 1:04:32 the help of jinn; it can be like that. 1:04:34 Our standard for these characteristics 1:04:37 should be what Allah has stated, 1:04:40 because this concerns Allah. 'Wali' 1:04:43 means a person who is loved by Allah, 1:04:46 who is close to Allah. Who is close to 1:04:49 Allah, we don't know, right? Allah is 1:04:52 the one who tells us. There is, what is 1:04:56 it, there is a key, the key to the 1:04:59 answer of who they are. Yes, Allah 1:05:02 gives the key to the answer in the 1:05:04 Noble Qur'an: "those upon whom there is 1:05:07 no fear, nor shall they grieve." Yes. 1:05:10 Yes. Those are the saints. Those are 1:05:17 their characteristics. Those are the 1:05:20 characteristics of people who are pious 1:05:22 and always guard their faith. Always 1:05:26 pious to Allah. Steadfast in their 1:05:29 piety. When they convey the truth, they 1:05:32 do not feel afraid. The wrong is called 1:05:36 wrong, the right is called right. Even 1:05:39 though sometimes, when they uphold 1:05:43 justice, it will be risky for 1:05:47 themselves or their families. They are 1:05:51 not afraid of that. These are the 1:05:54 characteristics of those who are pious 1:05:56 to Allah. These are the characteristics 1:05:57 of the Auliya Allah (friends of Allah). 1:05:59 So it is not based on the 1:06:01 aforementioned appearances, tricks, and 1:06:05 certain supernatural feats that might 1:06:11 look apparent, but their behavior and 1:06:14 character deviate from what is 1:06:15 determined by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 1:06:18 . Know that that is not from Allah. 1:06:21 That could be 'istidraj'(deception), or 1:06:24 it could be from devils or jinn. 1:06:26 Wallahu'alam. Wallahu'alam. That is all 1:06:29 for Mr. Arbaron, hopefully that answers 1:06:30 it. Next is from Mr. Abdullah, Ustaz. 1:06:35 Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 1:06:36 and blessings. 1:06:37 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:06:38 mercy and blessings. 1:06:39 Thank you, Ustaz, for the knowledge. 1:06:42 May I ask for some enlightenment, Ustaz 1:06:43 . What is a person who becomes a wali ( 1:06:48 saint)? Was it as you mentioned earlier 1:06:52 , when they perform the obligatory acts 1:06:56 and then continue with the nawafil ( 1:06:59 supererogatory) ones? Or, if someone 1:07:05 only performs the obligatory acts, what 1:07:07 are they called, Ustaz? Are they also a 1:07:10 wali, or what, Ustaz? 1:07:12 Yes. If one only does the obligatory 1:07:15 acts, that is just barely enough, isn't 1:07:17 it? 1:07:18 Right. If one wants to be more beloved 1:07:21 by Allah, well, it is said that...what 1:07:23 is it? Wala yazalu abdi yataqorru 1:07:27 ilaiya bin nawafil hatta uhibbahu. And 1:07:32 my servant continues to draw near to Me 1:07:36 after performing the obligatory acts 1:07:39 correctly by adding supererogatory acts 1:07:42 of worship, until I love him. Because 1:07:46 this means increasing one's closeness 1:07:48 to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. One wants 1:07:50 to be close. Unlike the previous case 1:07:52 where one thinks, "the important thing 1:07:54 is that the obligation is fulfilled." 1:07:57 It's like how Imam Ghazali describes 1:08:00 some worship as......like an employee. 1:08:06 The important thing is, "I have done my 1:08:09 duty, I get my wage, that's it, 1:08:11 finished, paid." But there are those 1:08:14 whose worship is not for that, but 1:08:16 because they are obedient to Allah 1:08:18 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, and love Allah 1:08:20 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. These people will 1:08:22 be loved by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. 1:08:25 That is the illustration, right? There 1:08:28 are also those who worship like an abid 1:08:30 (servant). What was it? "My servant, if 1:08:35 he isn't whipped, he won't do it." That 1:08:39 is for the common, ordinary people. But 1:08:42 those who are close to Allah, they add 1:08:47 those nawafil deeds. But that doesn't 1:08:52 mean, as I mentioned in the Prophet's 1:08:54 hadith earlier, that those who only 1:08:57 perform the obligatory acts—provided 1:08:59 they are done correctly—are losers; 1:09:02 no, they are among those who will 1:09:04 succeed, but just barely, the gain is 1:09:06 just enough. 1:09:08 You mentioned "aflaha" earlier, Ustaz. 1:09:10 Yes, "aflaha in sadaqa," the Prophet 1:09:12 said he is successful if he is truly 1:09:15 consistent in doing it, wallahu'alam. 1:09:19 Wallahu'alam. That is all for Mr. 1:09:21 Abdullah, hopefully that answers it. 1:09:23 Next is from Mr. Saifuddin. Peace be 1:09:29 upon you, and Allah's mercy and 1:09:30 blessings, Ustaz. 1:09:31 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:09:32 mercy and blessings. 1:09:33 Thank you, Ustaz, for the knowledge. 1:09:35 May I ask for some enlightenment. When 1:09:37 we observe the phenomenon of Tarawih 1:09:39 prayer, Ustaz, 1:09:40 Yes. 1:09:40 which is fuller than the obligatory 1:09:42 prayers. 1:09:43 Yes. Does this phenomenon fall into 1:09:47 prioritizing nawafil over the 1:09:49 obligatory acts? Ustaz, that is the 1:09:52 question. Jazakumullahu khairan katsir. 1:09:53 Yes, we also do, Ustaz. So, in the 1:09:56 month of Ramadan, it is indeed a month 1:10:00 where Allah grants blessings; it is 1:10:04 multiplied, the deeds are multiplied, 1:10:08 the rewards will be multiplied. Hence, 1:10:12 there is a hadith stating that those 1:10:14 who perform sunnah deeds get the reward 1:10:16 of the obligatory ones. It does not 1:10:19 mean that by performing the sunnah, the 1:10:22 obligatory duty is excused. No. The 1:10:25 obligatory acts must still be performed 1:10:27 , like that. If the obligatory deeds 1:10:30 are not performed, then the voluntary 1:10:32 ones will eventually be in vain. Yes, 1:10:35 those obligatory deeds are like the 1:10:38 capital in a business. And when the 1:10:42 obligatory deeds are done, and the 1:10:44 voluntary ones are also done, 1:10:45 especially in Ramadan, Allah multiplies 1:10:47 the rewards of the obligatory ones. 1:10:53 They become multiplied by seventy times 1:10:55 over. It is not like in other months; 1:10:57 it is specific to Ramadan. Now, for the 1:11:01 voluntary deeds, Allah grants a reward 1:11:03 equivalent to performing the obligatory 1:11:05 ones. The meaning is that the reward is 1:11:09 great, but the act remains voluntary, 1:11:11 it doesn't change into an obligation. 1:11:14 It remains voluntary. So, so, um...This 1:11:20 phenomenon should be practiced, but 1:11:24 without neglecting the obligatory ones. 1:11:31 And certainly, it is hoped that Ramadan 1:11:34 serves as what? A month of training, a 1:11:39 month of education, a month where our 1:11:44 spirits are pushed; it should continue 1:11:49 after leaving Ramadan, practiced 1:11:53 consistently. Wallahu a'lam. 1:11:57 Thus, Mr. Saifudin, I hope that answers 1:12:00 your question. That is all for the 1:12:02 brothers and sisters. Very well, Ustaz. 1:12:05 What is the important message you would 1:12:08 like to convey so that our brothers, 1:12:10 sisters, and all listeners can become 1:12:13 signs of being friends of Allah, the 1:12:15 Glorified and Exalted? 1:12:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 1:12:19 , the Most Merciful. O Allah, send 1:12:20 prayers and peace upon our master 1:12:21 Muhammad and the family of our master 1:12:22 Muhammad. Regarding those loved by 1:12:26 Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, 1:12:28 surely Allah knows best who they are. 1:12:32 And every human being can become 1:12:35 someone loved by Allah. We cannot judge 1:12:37 by saying, "Oh, because of their 1:12:39 appearance, or their job, or because 1:12:41 they are not a scholar, they are just a 1:12:44 worker, what? A farmer or a laborer, 1:12:47 but they carry out their duties, both 1:12:49 obligatory and voluntary." We must not 1:12:52 think, "Oh, they are insignificant." 1:12:54 Perhaps they are among those loved by 1:12:57 Allah, among the friends of Allah, the 1:13:00 Glorified and Exalted. Because the one 1:13:04 who judges is Allah, and there are 1:13:06 criteria in the Quran for that. Yes, 1:13:10 concerning those who are pious, does 1:13:12 Allah not say? Allah says, "Qul kullun 1:13:16 ya'malu 'ala syakilatihi." Say, O 1:13:21 Messenger of Allah, that everyone acts 1:13:24 according to their disposition, their 1:13:27 character, their educational background 1:13:30 , or their professional background. 1:13:35 Some work as employees, some as ustaz, 1:13:39 some as preachers, some as what? 1:13:43 Economists, or others. Yes, "ya'malu' 1:13:46 ala syakilatihi." Then what does it say 1:13:49 ? Allah says, "Farakkum a'lamu biman 1:13:52 huwa ahda." Yes. Wait. Yes. Qul kullun 1:13:59 ya'malu...Ah. Yes, so your Lord knows 1:14:07 best who is most guided on their path. 1:14:12 In another verse, "Huwa a'lamu 1:14:16 bimani-ttaqa," He knows best who is the 1:14:20 most pious. Now, this judgment comes 1:14:24 from Allah, the Glorified and Exalted. 1:14:27 Therefore, let us not...recklessly, you 1:14:34 know, belittling someone's dignity, 1:14:37 considering them despicable like that. 1:14:41 Well, that is because we don't know the 1:14:44 actual judgment. There is a judgment 1:14:46 from Allah Subhanahu wa taala. Maybe 1:14:48 that is all we can convey. Let us keep 1:14:52 trying to continuously draw closer to 1:14:55 Allah Subhanahu wa taala. so that we 1:14:58 may be included among those who are 1:15:00 loved by Allah Subhanahu wa taala. That 1:15:03 is all I can say, and I apologize for 1:15:05 any shortcomings. Billahi taufik wal 1:15:06 hidayah. Asalamualaikum warahmatullahi 1:15:08 wabarakatuh. 1:15:09 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 1:15:10 wabarakatuh. Jazakumullah khairan 1:15:12 kasiran Ustaz for the knowledge. 1:15:14 That is all, brothers and sisters. May 1:15:16 we be able to fulfill the criteria of 1:15:19 the friends of Allah and become the 1:15:21 friends of Allah, insyaallah. 1:15:23 Amin. 1:15:24 I, Fauziul Haq, ask to take my leave. I 1:15:26 apologize for all my mistakes. 1:15:28 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu 1:15:31 alla ilahailla anta astagfiruka wa 1:15:33 atubu ilaik. Asalamualaikum 1:15:35 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
