0:11 Brazil In the name of Allah, the Most 0:37 Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise 0:38 is due to Him, an abundant praise. May 0:43 Allah send blessings and peace upon 0:44 Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. 0:46 Still broadcasted from Jalan Masjid 0:48 Silaturahim number 36, Kalimanggis, 0:50 Cibubur, Bekasi. Radio Silaturahim and 0:52 also Rasil TV for the one Islam. May 0:54 the peace, mercy, and blessings of 0:55 Allah be upon you. Brothers and sisters 0:57 who are blessed by Allah. We are very 0:59 happy this Monday morning to be able to 1:02 meet you again in our live "Reflection 1:04 under the shade of the Quran" program 1:07 for the Monday edition. We have now 1:11 entered the 7th day of September 2026. 1:15 Hopefully, at the beginning of this 1:17 week, brothers and sisters are in good 1:19 condition, in good health, and always 1:21 under the protection of Allah Subhanahu 1:23 wa ta'ala. Alhamdulillah, our teacher, 1:25 Ustaz Husin, is present in the studio. 1:27 May the peace, mercy, and blessings of 1:28 Allah be upon you, Ustaz. 1:29 May the peace, mercy, and blessings of 1:30 Allah be upon you too. 1:31 You are doing well and are in good 1:32 health, aren't you, Ustaz? 1:33 Alhamdulillah. Alright, let us begin 1:36 this meeting, brothers and sisters, 1:37 with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah 1:39 . We invite you, Ustaz. 1:42 I seek refuge in Allah from the 1:44 accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, 1:49 the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1:53 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the 1:56 worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most 1:59 Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment 2:05 . You alone we worship, and You alone 2:10 we ask for help. Guide us to the 2:16 straight path, the path of those whom 2:18 ...You have favored. Not of those who 2:28 have earned Your anger. 2:35 Amen. 2:36 Amen. Amen. Amen, O Lord of the worlds. 2:39 Brothers, on this occasion, we will 2:41 discuss and take wisdom, Ustaz, 2:44 from the eruption of Mount Anak 2:46 Krakatau. Perhaps brothers and sisters 2:48 at home have been sweeping the floors 2:50 in their homes these past few days. 2:51 Especially for those who are not far 2:54 away. Actually, our coverage is also 2:56 not far away. Here in Cibubur. 2:58 Since the Anak Krakatau eruption on 3:00 Friday night, if I am not mistaken, 3:03 until now, the volcanic ash has covered 3:06 or reached several cities, especially 3:09 in West Java, Ustaz. If Lampung has 3:11 already been reached, now it has even 3:13 reached Padang, West Sumatra, Ustaz. 3:15 And the impact is also extraordinary, 3:17 Ustaz. There are around 8 airports, if 3:20 I am not mistaken, that are not 3:22 operating, and there are around 170,000 3:24 passengers who are finally stuck, Ustaz 3:26 , and cannot fly. Now, Ustaz, how do we 3:30 view this mountain from the perspective 3:32 of the Quran, Ustaz? Because it is 3:35 explained a lot in the Quran, often 3:38 described as having a function as a peg 3:41 , as 'rawasiya' pegs, to stabilize the 3:44 earth so it does not shake, as in Surah 3:48 An-Nahl verse 15 and also Surah 3:51 Al-Anbiya verse 31. And also as a 3:55 parable of the submission of creation 3:57 in Surah Al-Hashr verse 21. So, if we 4:02 look at it, Ustaz, if the Quran 4:04 explains mountains as stabilizing pegs 4:06 for the earth, a sign of the 4:08 orderliness of His creation, how do we 4:11 understand the wisdom behind this 4:13 eruption or the volcanic explosion that 4:15 just happened, Ustaz, Anak Krakatau? Is 4:18 this event part of nature's way of 4:20 maintaining the earth's balance, or a 4:23 form of warning for humans, or perhaps 4:25 both, Ustaz? Please explain. In the 4:29 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 4:30 Most Merciful. All praise is due to 4:34 Allah, Lord of the worlds. An abundant, 4:37 good, and blessed praise as our Lord 4:41 loves. O Allah, send prayers, peace, 4:47 and blessings upon Your servant and 4:49 messenger, our master and prophet 4:52 Muhammad, whom You sent as a mercy to 4:54 the worlds, and upon his pure family, 4:57 his noble companions, his brothers 4:59 among the prophets and messengers, and 5:02 those who follow his upright path until 5:05 the Day of Judgment. Glory be to You, 5:09 we have no knowledge except what You 5:11 have taught us. And there is no power 5:17 except by Allah. First of all, before 5:26 we answer this question, we must 5:28 emphasize that everything that comes 5:32 from Allah is goodness. There is 5:37 nothing evil that comes from Allah. But 5:40 evil comes from the deeds of mankind. 5:47 Allah says, "Doharal fasadu fil barri 5:48 wal bahri bima kasabat aidinas"( 5:49 Corruption has appeared on land and sea 5:51 because of what the hands of people 5:52 have earned). Damage has emerged on 5:56 both land and sea. All caused by the 6:01 deeds of human hands. Forest fires that 6:08 occurred in Kalimantan. All of this is 6:12 the result of human actions that 6:15 threaten the extinction of so much 6:18 fauna, as well as flora. Causing global 6:25 warming, melting polar ice, and rising 6:30 sea levels. Who is responsible for all 6:32 of this? Yes. 6:33 The result of the deeds. 6:34 Even leading to the flash floods in 6:36 Nepal recently, yes. 6:38 Including what happened in Nepal before 6:41 the disaster, where nature was once 6:44 friendly to humans, but they committed 6:47 a massacre against the Muslims. Seizing 6:53 their mosques and burning some of them. 6:58 This is a blatant act. Inviting the 7:02 wrath of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 7:03 When that wrath and punishment come, do 7:06 not blame Allah. Because with this 7:10 warning, Allah reminds humans who are 7:13 still willing to listen to warnings, 7:15 punishing and chastising others who do 7:18 not at all, what? Respect human values, 7:23 commit violations against their rights, 7:26 commit acts of oppression; if left 7:28 unchecked, it will cause more 7:30 widespread damage. A test for some, a 7:37 punishment and penalty for others. And 7:41 inviting us also to understand that 7:44 human behavior can make nature friendly 7:50 to us, but it can also make nature an 7:52 opponent to us all. And we know that 7:58 our life in this world is a unity. So 8:02 the damage occurring in our country 8:04 also impacts what? Other regions. 8:09 Global warming resulting from forest 8:11 burning can also cause a rise in the 8:13 earth's temperature. The ice that once 8:19 played a role in maintaining our 8:21 temperature balance is melting, sea 8:26 levels are rising, and we witness the 8:29 condition of Jakarta at this moment. 8:34 Besides the thoughtless extraction of 8:37 fresh water, high-rise buildings, 8:40 skyscrapers, eventually the sea level 8:44 in Jakarta on the coast is higher than 8:47 what? Than the land. If the Netherlands 8:52 was indeed originally a low-lying area. 8:54 Yes. 8:55 While we were originally an area 8:57 located above sea level, now the sea 8:59 level is higher compared to the land. 9:02 Whose doing is this wild development 9:05 without considering environmental 9:08 safety assessments (AMDAL)? Seawater 9:12 has begun to enter the land. In the ' 9:16 70s, we witnessed so many water 9:20 catchment areas on the coast. Starting 9:24 from Rawamangun, 9:27 then entering Jalan Pemuda, Rawasari; 9:29 those were swampy areas that served as 9:30 water catchment zones, including the 9:32 Kelapa Gading horse racing track, which 9:34 was a swamp area. People enjoy the 9:38 pleasant scenery, fishing from the 9:41 bounties provided by God. But when they 9:44 build without calculation, without 9:47 regard for water absorption, and pave 9:50 over the soil, floods occur here and 9:52 there that never happened before. Now, 9:58 regarding the eruption of Mount 10:01 Krakatoa, for us humans, it is a test 10:10 for some, a reminder of power, wealth, 10:17 thrones, everything vanishes before the 10:19 greatness and majesty of God. When 10:23 Krakatoa erupted in 1883, it produced 10:29 an explosion with a force of about 2 10:32 million megatons. Estimated to be 10:37 thousands of times the atomic bomb 10:39 dropped on Hiroshima. 10:43 A truly devastating explosion. For a 10:48 long time, Krakatoa has been in a state 10:50 of silence. Sometimes it coughs, you 10:53 know. 10:54 Now it is erupting once again. 10:57 This serves as a warning of how weak 10:59 humans are before the greatness and 11:01 majesty of God. It is also a punishment 11:06 for some who do not heed the greatness 11:09 and majesty of God. They commit various 11:12 kinds of destruction on the face of the 11:14 earth. We witness in our country that 11:18 the collaboration between corporations 11:21 and officials has truly gone far beyond 11:25 the limits. Then we see how the weak 11:30 below are powerless to change the 11:33 situation. So God steps in to provide a 11:36 warning. Yeah. 11:37 If an eruption were to occur like the 11:40 one in 1883, 11:44 Jakarta and all the buildings on its 11:46 surface would certainly collapse. How 11:48 many would be the victims? Back then, 11:50 the human population was still small. 11:52 Oh yes. 11:53 The death toll at that time was 11:55 estimated at 36,000 people. But if a 12:00 similar eruption occurred now, we can 12:03 imagine all the skyscrapers and houses 12:07 would be destroyed. The Earth's 12:12 temperature at that time dropped by 10 12:14 degrees Celsius. 12:17 10 degrees Celsius. Why? Because sulfur 12:21 dioxide and aerosol particles rose into 12:25 the atmosphere, blocking solar 12:28 radiation. 12:31 The Earth's temperature dropped 12:32 drastically. Just imagine. Now, are the 12:36 officials up there unaware? As are the 12:39 corporations, the oligarchs, those who 12:42 commit tyranny, including the clerics 12:45 who enjoy the fruits of their 12:47 collaboration with officials and 12:49 oligarchs. Their prayers will not be 12:54 answered if they do not perform the 12:55 command to enjoin good and forbid evil 12:57 as mandated by God Almighty. 13:02 umatunirufuna munkar waulaika humul 13:11 muflihun. And let there be among you a 13:15 group that invites people to goodness, 13:18 champions virtuous values—universal 13:21 values recognized by all humanity—and 13:25 prevents evil and destruction on this 13:28 earth. Departing from God's law, and 13:34 what? Wanhauna munkar waika humul. They 13:39 are the ones who are truly muflihun. 13:43 They are successful. They also save 13:45 humanity from disaster and from 13:46 punishment in the hereafter. Now, Kang 13:50 Rizal, who should be stepping up to 13:52 this task? It should be the clerics, 13:59 the inheritors of the prophets, working 14:02 together with those who have various 14:05 potentials, uniting the faithful 14:07 business people to provide support for 14:10 the clerics to preach in the way of God 14:13 . Do not let the clerics become prey to 14:17 corporations and officials, used to 14:19 justify their deeds. 14:21 and inviting the community to gather 14:23 around them. But the scholars who do 14:28 not carry out their duties, the 14:30 businessmen too, forget themselves, 14:31 getting swept away. In fact, they join 14:35 in enjoying the pleasures that bring 14:38 destruction to the nation and the 14:41 country. Now, this eruption of Krakatoa 14:45 is merely a small cough. It is a small 14:50 cough. It should serve as a cautionary 14:54 whip for us all. But behind all of this 14:59 , Kang Rizal, behind all of this, does 15:02 it actually bring any benefits? For 15:07 nature, it is performing a recovery, 15:10 making repairs. As we know, these 15:15 volcanoes release heat flows. Yeah. 15:20 Just imagine if this heat flow were 15:22 trapped and could not get out. Then the 15:27 material particles that come out from 15:30 the belly of the earth. Subhanallah. 15:36 That's right. When it comes out, it 15:39 causes tremors and eruptions. 15:42 But it is actually restoring our land 15:45 that has been damaged by human hands. 15:49 Besides repairing, it also reduces the 15:51 Earth's heat. Yes, the concern is that 15:54 if it does not come out periodically, a 15:57 more devastating eruption could occur 15:59 that might even be threatening. Because 16:04 as we know, the belly of our earth 16:07 contains hot liquid metals and stone 16:10 materials as well. All of those are 16:15 things that are truly very hot. If 16:18 trapped, what will happen? If we look 16:22 at rivers in the past, they were filled 16:25 with large stones, 16:27 small stones, and sand as well, which 16:31 were in the rivers. Familiar with 16:34 nature and so beautiful. The water was 16:36 clear too. 16:36 Yes. 16:37 Where did all that come from? From 16:41 volcanic eruptions that ejected large, 16:44 medium, and small rocks, including sand 16:47 that flowed with the river, covering 16:50 the surface until the mud was contained 16:53 and, subhanallah, the water became 16:56 clear again. Now, these hundreds of 17:00 volcanoes are performing a recovery 17:03 due to the actions of human hands today 17:06 . Then it brings fertility. Because 17:10 usually, the areas around volcanoes are 17:13 fertile lands, they are volcanic 17:15 regions. 17:19 Besides being a warning, besides being 17:22 a scourge and punishment for those who 17:25 deserve God's wrath, the earth is also 17:28 making repairs in a very dynamic way. 17:33 Performing repairs, and Allah Subhanahu 17:36 wa ta'ala describes the earth as having 17:38 pegs. And He placed mountains on the 17:41 earth as pegs for it. Allah fixed 17:45 mountains on the surface of the earth 17:48 as pegs to maintain its balance. If 17:53 they were not there, what would happen? 17:56 What would happen? Our Earth, while 17:59 rotating on its axis, would lose its 18:01 balance. 18:03 Then tectonic earthquakes, whereas 18:05 volcanic ones come from volcanoes. The 18:09 rocks that come out follow the heat 18:10 patterns from the earth's interior. 18:13 While tectonic [earthquakes] are the 18:15 meeting of two plates. As a result of 18:17 that meeting, mountains are born. Yes. 18:21 Even islands are born, too. Then 18:24 straits are formed. All of this happens 18:27 with a calculation and wisdom that is 18:30 absolutely perfect. And also, as a 18:34 result of all that, like what happened 18:37 in Aceh, the meeting between two plates 18:40 . So many victims have fallen. Forgive 18:45 me, I do not mean to rejoice in the 18:48 disaster, but we must acknowledge that 18:50 when the disaster occurred, sin and 18:52 corruption were taking place in Aceh. 18:56 The faithful and the pious were 18:58 helpless in the face of the destruction 19:00 that unfolded. And I also visited there 19:02 myself to witness the situation that 19:04 was taking place. This is also a 19:09 warning for humans to wake up and 19:10 return to Allah in the face of nature's 19:12 power. What power do they have? What do 19:15 they amount to? And this is only an 19:20 eruption in one part of the Earth, and 19:22 our Earth is located on the edge of the 19:25 universe 19:27 whose diameter, as observed by 19:30 astrophysicists, is estimated to be 93 19:33 billion light-years across. Is that the 19:37 size of the universe or what? That is 19:41 its diameter, based on telescopes and 19:44 the knowledge available to observe it 19:46 —not all of it, though. Our Earth is 19:52 a finer grain of sand. Perhaps it is 19:54 nothing compared to the universe. 19:56 Meaning it is not even one micron. Not 19:59 even one micron compared to this 20:01 universe. Then witness humans fighting, 20:08 waging war, shedding blood, and people 20:11 who are so greedy and gluttonous, 20:13 justifying any means and boasting 20:16 before the laws of Allah Subhanahu wa 20:19 ta'ala. Witness the crimes occurring on 20:23 Earth, the victims falling due to the 20:25 greed and arrogance of some humans. H 20:29 even though they are in a tiny region 20:32 in the middle of this vast universe. 20:36 But the paradise that Allah has 20:38 promised for the pious is as vast as 20:40 the heavens and the earth. God willing, 20:44 if Kang Rizal enters heaven, you could 20:47 live on one star with your family and 20:49 loved ones. Others could live on 20:52 another star. 20:54 Visiting them wouldn't be difficult. 20:57 The speed that Allah grants is no 20:59 longer the speed of light—which is 21:01 300,000 km per second—but one can 21:03 move from place to place in an instant. 21:06 Because with a universe this vast, what 21:08 could you use? With the transportation 21:12 tools we have, or even at the speed of 21:14 light, it would be impossible to reach 21:16 such a vast universe. 21:19 So, which one should we prioritize? The 21:20 Earth which is so fragile, so narrow. 21:26 Or the paradise that is as vast as the 21:28 heavens and the earth? This is just an 21:30 analogy. So what is happening—what is 21:34 occurring among us right now—is just 21:36 a small warning. Just a small warning 21:41 for the crimes that are currently 21:42 taking place in our country. Oppressive 21:45 acts committed by those who are strong 21:47 and capable against the common people, 21:49 deceiving them. This is a warning that 21:53 comes from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 21:55 Besides the fact that nature is 21:57 performing its own restoration. Now, 21:58 while that restoration is happening, 22:00 many victims have fallen. Many people 22:04 are also affected. Including flights 22:06 right now 22:08 which are canceled because of sulfur 22:11 dioxide particles and also active 22:13 silica. He 22:15 yes, which are fine glass-like 22:17 materials; if they enter a jet engine, 22:19 they will cause damage to the aircraft. 22:23 Now they are stuck, and Allah wants to 22:26 show them 22:27 whether their knowledge and their 22:29 strength are capable of facing the laws 22:31 of Allah. Even when faced with sulfur 22:34 dioxide, small materials, and fine 22:36 particles of active silica, they are 22:39 unable to do anything. 22:42 Where is their power? Where is their 22:44 sophisticated weaponry? Including 22:47 America when faced with Iran, which is 22:50 one of the nations previously 22:52 underestimated. They fought for quite a 22:55 long time and even received support 22:57 from other countries. As it turns out, 23:01 Trump and Netanyahu are helpless before 23:03 the power of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 23:05 Allah shows this through Iran. Allah 23:07 could just as easily show it through 23:09 Indonesia if Indonesia is ready to 23:10 welcome and fulfill the call of Allah 23:12 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That is 23:14 interesting, Kang Rizal. Allah says in 23:18 the Quran, Allah anchored this earth 23:22 with pegs to maintain its balance. 23:26 Among them, eruptions release heat, 23:30 heat flows. Likewise with materials. 23:34 The materials that come out. This is 23:37 not without purpose. Behind all this is 23:40 wisdom that serves to heal our earth 23:43 and maintain balance. Then we must know 23:47 that our earth is not just filled with 23:50 land or mountains, there are oceans. 23:53 Yes. 23:54 Two-thirds of our earth is covered by 23:56 oceans. One-third is land, mountains, 23:59 highlands, and lowlands. Now, when the 24:02 earth rotates, if there is no balance, 24:04 what happens? It shakes. 24:10 A ship. 24:10 Yeah. 24:11 One that carries, say, hundreds of 24:14 thousands of tons, when it sails, it 24:16 must truly pay attention to balance. 24:22 The weight of the ship. If they make 24:25 one side of the plane's wing heavier 24:28 than the other, as it moves, what will 24:31 it accelerate? Accelerate its 24:35 destruction. It. 24:36 It could sink. Right? 24:38 Yes. 24:39 The same applies to our earth, which is 24:40 large and inhabited by billions of 24:42 people. Not to mention the animals, not 24:45 to mention various other living 24:47 creatures. Not to mention the trees. 24:50 Two-thirds of it is ocean. 24:53 As it rotates at high speed on its axis 24:57 . In 24 hours, it completes a rotation 25:00 on its axis. Then, for approximately 25:03 360 years, it orbits the sun. Then the 25:07 sun, along with all the planets, orbits 25:10 the center of its galaxy. 25:12 And the galaxy does not stand still 25:13 either. What about the galaxy? It 25:15 doesn't stand still. It also has an 25:17 orbit around the center of this 25:20 universe. The speed at which it travels 25:24 is incredibly fast. But Subhanallah, we 25:27 do not feel any vibration. 25:29 Yes. Right? 25:31 Right. 25:32 If we ride a super sophisticated plane, 25:34 if a glass is placed, it will 25:36 definitely shake. 25:37 Yes. 25:38 Right? Plates also move, but our earth, 25:42 with such an immense load, does not 25:45 move. We feel it, Alhamdulillah. 25:48 Imagine if it started to vibrate, our 25:49 hearts would surely become anxious, 25:51 right? 25:51 Now, who provides this comfort and 25:53 sense of security? Allah, with the 25:56 balance that regulates our earth in 25:59 such a way. Therefore, there are 26:03 highlands, Mas Krishna. Highlands, even 26:07 skyscrapers, and there are also 26:09 lowlands. There are also what? Oceans 26:12 with their deep trenches. If, for 26:14 example, Mas Rizal were driving a car, 26:19 the wheels are not balanced. 26:22 Yeah. 26:23 How would it drive, I wonder? It would 26:25 be unbalanced. 26:27 If the wheels are not balanced, we will 26:29 really feel the vibration. 26:30 Yes. 26:31 Especially if it isn't aligned, it 26:33 drives like someone walking with legs 26:34 splayed. Can you see from behind how 26:36 the car is driving? Unstable. Right? 26:39 Yes. 26:40 So, to get it balanced, where do you 26:42 take it? 26:43 Balancing. 26:44 Balancing. Then the wheel is spun 26:47 quickly. 26:48 Then what? When they see a deficiency, 26:51 say on the right, they add something. 26:53 Add what? Lead. 26:55 Yes. 26:55 Place the le- 26:56 lead. 26:56 Lead. If it's on the left, they place 26:59 lead until, when driven, it spins 27:02 without wobbling. 27:03 Yes. 27:04 But in a state of balance. It is the 27:07 same with our earth, with volcanoes 27:10 releasing hot flows and materials from 27:13 their interior. Likewise, their height 27:18 and weight make our earth, praise be to 27:21 God, in a state of balance when 27:23 rotating on its axis, when orbiting the 27:26 sun, and when together with the sun 27:32 orbiting the center of its galaxy, then 27:34 the galaxy rotates around the center of 27:36 the universe, and everything glorifies 27:39 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. There are 27:42 many scientific benefits behind these 27:45 volcanic activities, and time doesn't 27:47 permit me to explain them. But what is 27:50 important is that everything truly 27:52 shows the grace of Allah Subhanahu wa 27:54 ta'ala toward His servants and becomes 27:56 a warning and punishment for those who 27:59 are rebellious, like a plague. A plague 28:01 , right? 28:02 According to the Ustaz 28:04 a plague like COVID. 28:05 Hm. Oh, yes. epidemic. 28:07 The pandemic of that year, when a test 28:11 arrives 28:12 for some people 28:14 those who die in a state of faith die 28:16 as martyrs 28:17 but it is a punishment for some people 28:20 so when COVID arrived, we should 28:22 actually know that this COVID is part 28:24 of Allah's army. Even if it was the 28:26 result of human actions, it became part 28:29 of Allah's army. For those who are 28:32 faithful and obedient to Allah, if they 28:34 pass away, we shouldn't consider them 28:36 what? Destined for ruin. Those who are 28:40 faithful and then pass away in a state 28:42 of faith and piety, it means they have 28:43 finished their duty in the worldly life 28:45 because we don't live forever. Right? 28:48 Correct. 28:49 But for those who are rebellious, the 28:51 disbelievers, that is a punishment and 28:53 a bad end for them. For those tested 28:55 with illness and then recover, it 28:57 reminds them how valuable health is; 28:59 everything is full of lessons. As 29:01 Ibrahim said in his talbiyah, Labbaik 29:03 Allahumma labbaik O Allah, we come to 29:09 answer Your call with haste. Whatever 29:12 comes from You is entirely good. 29:14 While evil does not return to You, but 29:17 returns to us. Wallahu'alam. 29:19 Alright, Ustaz. Thank you for the 29:20 explanation. We can take wisdom from 29:23 the eruption of Anak Krakatau; it was a 29:26 warning and also, what do you call it, 29:29 natural, Ustaz. A volcanic eruption, 29:32 Ustaz. For some people, it was a 29:33 disaster; for others, it was actually 29:36 a lot of goodness, Ustaz. Especially 29:38 for nature, Ustaz. Ustaz, there is a 29:40 question from Mrs. Aminah in Citra 29:43 Indah. Citra Indah Cileungsi, right? 29:46 Yeah. 29:46 Ustaz, I would like to ask a question, 29:48 Ustaz. Uh, thank you beforehand for the 29:50 knowledge this morning. May I ask, 29:53 regarding calamities and disasters, are 29:56 they caused by human actions? Uh, with 30:00 Allah's permission, Ustaz, those 30:02 calamities and disasters occur. That is 30:05 from Ibu Aminah Cita. 30:08 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 30:09 , the Most Merciful. Allah says in 30:12 Surah Al-Hadid, "No calamity befalls on 30:15 the earth or in yourselves but is 30:17 inscribed in the Book before We bring 30:20 it into existence.""That is easy for 30:30 Allah; so that you may not grieve for 30:32 what escapes you, nor rejoice in what 30:34 has been given to you. And Allah does 30:37 not like any...""Those who are stingy 30:42 and enjoin upon people stinginess. And 30:46 whoever turns away, then indeed Allah 30:47 is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." 30:52 This is a verse in Surah Al-Hadid. "Ma 30:57 asaba"(whatever befalls/strikes). " 30:59 Min musibah"(of calamity). There is not 31:03 one calamity that strikes a person, 31:09 whether on earth or within yourselves. 31:12 But all has been recorded in Our Book 31:16 even before We created him. Hm. 31:22 This verse explains to us that in the 31:25 human journey of life, Allah has 31:27 written down the trials that he will 31:30 face to determine who he is. So this 31:35 verse does not explain that human 31:37 actions are determined by Allah. 31:39 Hm. 31:39 Not at all. But Allah explains that 31:43 there is no single trial, whether in 31:46 the form of pleasure or hardship, ease 31:49 or constraint, health or illness, but 31:51 that all of it has been recorded in Our 31:54 Book before We created him, as a test. 32:00 Hm. 32:01 Those who believe will be grateful when 32:03 receiving blessings. When facing trials 32:06 , constraints, and bitterness, they 32:08 remain patient while awaiting Allah's 32:11 mercy. Both of them are what? They are 32:15 signs of goodness and the piety of a 32:17 servant that will truly bring good 32:19 fortune both in this world and in the 32:21 hereafter. But who forgets themselves 32:25 when receiving blessings? As we 32:28 encounter today in most people. 32:31 Then they complain when facing trials, 32:35 and even blame fate. This means this 32:38 person has failed the test. And the 32:42 word "asaba-yusibu" does not only mean 32:45 something painful. No. Not just a bad 32:49 thing. 32:51 But "musibah"(calamity/occurrence) also 32:52 includes the good things we receive. 32:55 For example, "asabtu malan," I obtained 32:58 wealth. "Asabtu."" 33:03 Malan" or "asabtu," let's say, "asabtu 33:06 malan ahabba ilaiya min ghairi," I 33:10 obtained wealth that I love more than 33:13 others. This should not be considered, 33:16 should not be considered that this is 33:21 limited only to painful calamities. But 33:23 , all the enjoyment and pleasure we 33:26 receive in this world is included in 33:28 the word "musibah." 33:30 For example, in Surah An-Nisa, Allah 33:33 says, "Ma asabaka min hasanatin 33:35 faminallah."" 33:37 The good that you receive is from Allah 33:39 .""Wa ma asabaka min sayyi-atin famin 33:42 nafsik." The evil that befalls you, its 33:44 root is actually from your own actions. 33:50 "Wa arsalnaka linnas.""We have sent you 33:54 as a messenger to mankind, and 33:56 sufficient is Allah as a witness." We 33:59 sent you as a messenger to explain this 34:00 to mankind, and Allah is sufficient as 34:02 a witness in this matter. So the words 34:06 "asaba-yusibu" are not only limited to 34:10 what? To painful calamities, 34:14 that are troublesome and unpleasant. It 34:16 also includes the wealth that we 34:18 receive. As in the Hadith, "Innamal 34:23 a'malu bin niat." Actions depend on 34:27 their respective intentions. Even if 34:30 both are righteous deeds, one works not 34:33 for Allah, while the other does. The 34:37 value differs in the eyes of Allah; 34:40 what is accepted is what is sincerely 34:43 for Allah. Ala lillahi dinu, leading to 34:45 the migration, hijratuhu ilallah. Ya, 34:51 hijratuhu ilallah. Whoever migrates for 34:57 Allah, naturally, what happens? It 34:59 aligns with their intention. But 35:01 hijratuhu...Whoever migrates for Allah, 35:11 naturally, that pure intention for 35:13 Allah will receive a reward from Him. 35:15 But whoever, hijratu dunya...Those who 35:25 migrate for worldly gain, 35:27 for worldly benefits, or for a woman 35:30 they want to marry, their migration 35:33 matches their intent, but they get no 35:36 reward. For example, some companions 35:39 migrated to Abyssinia for Allah, like 35:41 Abu Salamah, Ummu Salamah, Jafar bin 35:44 Abi Thalib, and others. So their 35:48 migration was to Allah, and Allah 35:51 accepted their presence. But some 35:54 migrated for a woman they loved, 35:56 that is, Ummu Habibah, the daughter of 36:00 Abu Sufyan. Her husband had to migrate 36:02 with his wife, Ummu Habibah, because of 36:05 her, because of the woman he loved. 36:07 H 36:09 Not for Allah. Therefore, when they 36:11 arrived in Abyssinia, isolated from 36:13 what? From their land and family. He 36:16 apostatized and left Islam. He 36:19 apostatized and left Islam. Eventually, 36:22 Ummu Habibah joined the group of Ummu 36:24 Salamah after Abu Salamah passed away 36:25 in the land of migration, moving to 36:27 Medina. Then she was married by the 36:31 Prophet. So Ummu Habibah became a 36:33 Mother of the Believers. Likewise, Ummu 36:35 Salamah became a Mother of the 36:36 Believers. The Prophet did not marry 36:39 them as young virgins. If he wanted to, 36:41 he could have had whatever he desired. 36:44 But he protected those women who were 36:45 left stranded because their husbands 36:47 had passed away. And they also left 36:50 their homeland to migrate to a new land 36:53 . So the Prophet married them, yes, 36:56 with the permission of Allah Subhanahu 36:58 wa Ta'ala. So, Kang Rizal, regarding 37:03 the question from the mother earlier, 37:05 every event in this universe happens by 37:07 Allah's permission. For example, 37:11 someone stealing, committing adultery, 37:15 or say, corruption. H 37:17 Without Allah's permission, would it 37:18 happen? 37:19 No. 37:20 It is impossible to happen. Is that 37:21 right? 37:22 That's right. 37:23 But who is the one doing it? 37:28 Allah gave him free will and choice. 37:31 He exercises his will on acts that are 37:34 forbidden by Allah and discouraged. 37:37 He. 37:39 On acts that are forbidden by 37:41 Allah. 37:41 If someone kills another without 37:42 Allah's permission, would it happen? It 37:45 would not happen. But do not interpret 37:47 Allah's permission as being driven by 37:49 Allah. 37:52 We have various kinds of food in front 37:54 of us. I choose, for example, rice with 37:57 fish, water spinach, and chili sauce, 37:59 not eating anything else. That is my 38:02 choice. 38:02 Yes. But without the permission of 38:04 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, I would not 38:06 have obtained all this. 38:08 Even without Allah's permission, I 38:10 wouldn't be able to digest it; 38:12 everything in this universe must pass 38:14 through Allah's permission before it 38:16 occurs. But Allah's permission does not 38:20 mean He forces humans to perform good 38:22 or bad deeds. But Allah makes it easy 38:25 for those who do good. And what is 38:27 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala really doing? 38:30 Restraining those who do evil. But they 38:32 force themselves to go into it. 38:36 So, we must know, by Allah’s 38:38 permission, a volcanic eruption occurs, 38:41 besides bringing and healing our earth, 38:43 restoring the land, and bringing 38:46 fertility, but it also happens by 38:48 Allah’s permission regarding those 38:50 who have forgotten as a warning; for 38:53 those who have gone too deep into 38:55 tyranny, it will be a punishment and 38:57 retribution for them all. Just imagine, 39:02 Kang Rizal, the 170,000 passengers 39:04 unable to fly. 39:06 How much loss did the airlines suffer? 39:11 Just look. 39:12 Billions, right? 39:14 Then also what is suffered by them, the 39:16 passengers who had important work to 39:18 handle. 39:20 Yes. 39:21 Not just billions anymore, but 39:23 trillions could be lost. Isn't that 39:24 right? 39:25 Correct. 39:25 This is a lesson not to be arrogant. Do 39:29 not laugh out loud when receiving 39:31 blessings. But for the believers, do 39:34 not lose heart. Allah is with you as 39:36 long as you are with Allah Subhanahu wa 39:38 ta'ala. Wallahu'alam. 39:39 Right. Stay fully dependent on Allah, 39:42 Ustaz. Yes. 39:43 We will continue with a question from 39:44 Ibu Fani. This is our loyal listener 39:46 who is always diligent in submitting 39:47 questions. Thank you, Ibu Fani. May I 39:50 ask? How, Ustaz, so that these natural 39:52 disasters do not happen again in our 39:55 beloved country? Syukran, Ustaz. Kang 39:59 Rizal and Kud said it, Ustaz. 40:01 Right. 40:01 Is it possible for disasters not to 40:03 happen, Ustaz? Yes, in a country 40:07 if all the people in our country are 40:10 obedient to Allah, pious to Him, they 40:13 will be kept away 40:16 from His punishment 40:18 and they will receive mercy and 40:20 blessings instead. As Allah says, " 40:23 Walau anna ahlal qura amanu wattaqau 40:25 lafatahna alaihim barokatim minasama 40:28 walard." If only the people of the 40:32 cities had believed and feared Allah, 40:33 We would have opened upon them 40:35 blessings from the heaven and the earth 40:37 . "Walakin kadzabu." But they ignored 40:41 Allah's warnings. 40:43 They denied what came from Allah, 40:45 committing violations against Allah's 40:48 prohibitions. So We punished them 40:51 because of the deeds they were 40:53 committing. "Al-kasbu kasaba yaksibu... 40:55 " Explaining the result of one's 40:57 actions. So the evil deeds they 41:00 committed are what led them to be 41:03 struck by that punishment; it is the 41:05 result of their own actions. So if the 41:09 inhabitants of a country are faithful 41:10 and pious, maintaining their own 41:12 righteousness, they will be kept away 41:14 from Allah’s punishment. But can we 41:17 guarantee it? No. Therefore, why is it 41:20 required to practice' amar ma'ruf nahi 41:22 mungkar 'so that we don't live 41:24 selfishly? Because the evil committed 41:27 by others can invite punishment upon 41:29 many people. If they stay silent, sit 41:32 idly by, witnessing Allah's punishment, 41:34 or witnessing wrongdoings happening and 41:36 letting them continue. Now, in our 41:39 country, the tendency to let evil 41:41 persist has become quite extraordinary. 41:45 So, if we just sit idly by, without 41:47 giving warnings, without making 41:48 improvements, and without people rising 41:50 up to remind others, then an even more 41:52 severe punishment will descend upon us 41:54 all. Now, let's go back to the Surah 41:56 Al-Hadid. When Allah says, "No disaster 42:00 strikes upon the earth or among 42:03 yourselves except that it is in a 42:05 register before We bring it into being. 42:09 " This serves as a test to determine a 42:11 person's character. The result depends 42:15 on how they choose and behave. Inna 42:17 dhalika' ala Allahi yasir. It is very 42:19 easy for Allah to write something down 42:22 even before it happens. Because Allah's 42:24 knowledge is not bound by dimensions of 42:26 time and space. 42:27 Instead, space and time are all under 42:29 Allah's control. Then Allah explains 42:32 the wisdom, Brother Rizal, behind these 42:35 trials. Li kayla ta'saw. Ala ma fatakum 42:41 wa la tafrahu bima atakum. The purpose 42:45 of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through 42:47 these trials is so that when you 42:48 receive blessings, you do not rejoice 42:50 excessively, become euphoric, or lose 42:51 yourself. This is a test. This is a 42:55 test, not an unaccountable gift. So, li 43:01 kayla ta'saw, so that you do not 43:03 dissolve into sorrow or despair over 43:06 something that befalls you. Because the 43:10 trials that befall you are examinations 43:12 to test your character. Whether you 43:14 accept them with patience or not. Wa la 43:16 tafrahu bima atakum. And so you do not 43:20 rejoice or become euphoric with what 43:22 you receive in terms of pleasures, 43:24 sustenance, status, wealth, and so on. 43:28 Because all of this is a test, not a 43:31 cause for pride. Likewise, trials are 43:34 not a sign that Allah hates or abandons 43:37 a servant; both are full of wisdom and 43:40 mercy for those who are grateful to 43:43 Allah. Wallahu la yuhibbu kulla 43:46 mukhtalin fakhur. Allah most dislikes 43:49 His servants who are mukhtalin. What is 43:53 mukhtalin? When a horse is walking 43:56 slowly, 43:58 while looking right and left, with 44:00 oh, its feet that 44:02 its feet that walk slowly, doesn't it 44:04 show arrogance? 44:05 Yes. 44:06 The horse, as it starts to walk, 44:08 prancing slightly while looking left 44:10 and right, portrays an arrogant image. 44:13 Yes. 44:13 Now, this mukhtalin 44:16 is derived from the horse's behavior as 44:18 what? As an expression of a person's 44:20 arrogance through their body language. 44:22 Hm. 44:24 He isn't speaking. 44:25 Yes. 44:26 But from his body language, he appears 44:27 to be an arrogant person. 44:29 It is different from the believers. 44:30 Alladhina yamshuna 'ala al-ardi hawna. 44:32 Walking humbly, full of modesty. Now, 44:36 those who like to be arrogant with 44:38 their body language are called 44:40 mukhtalin. 44:42 Fakhur, who likes to boast, likes to 44:43 tell stories, flaunting their wealth, 44:45 bragging. But they do not care at all 44:48 about those around them who hear about 44:50 their gains and pleasures. They should 44:53 be sharing if they are going to tell 44:54 stories. 44:55 Heh. 44:57 So, a person who is proud of their 44:58 wealth, also proud to talk about their 45:00 origins, lineage, and so on. These are 45:03 all people whom Allah dislikes the most 45:04 . 45:05 Because what is received in this world 45:07 —pleasures are a test, honor is a 45:09 test, and likewise, various trials and 45:12 sufferings are also a test. So, you 45:15 finish your test in this worldly life, 45:18 you will receive the results in the 45:20 hereafter. Would Allah equate those who 45:23 believe and are pious with those who 45:24 are wicked and do evil? God knows best. 45:28 Very well, Ustaz. It seems time is 45:30 limited, Ustaz. Perhaps there is a 45:32 conclusion, Ustaz. A final message from 45:34 the discussion. 45:36 So, the conclusion is as I mentioned 45:39 first, that everything that comes from 45:41 Allah is good. Even though perhaps some 45:47 of us at first feel and consider it to 45:52 be a bad thing. 45:54 Allah says, "Wa asa an takrahu saian 45:57 wahua khairulakum." Many things that 46:01 you do not like, you also find it hard 46:04 to accept. It turns out, subhanallah, 46:07 in the future it brings goodness to you 46:08 . Wa asaan tuhibbu saian wahua syarakum 46:12 . But likewise, many things that you 46:17 love, that you like, if Allah were to 46:21 fulfill them, it would bring harm to 46:24 you. Wallahu ya'lamu wa antum la'lamun. 46:29 Indeed, Allah is all-knowing and you do 46:31 not know anything. There was a man, 46:35 Kang Rizal, who fell in love with a 46:37 woman who completely shadowed his every 46:40 move. When he slept, when he dreamed, 46:44 when he ate, wherever he was, what was 46:47 in his mind? When he heard that the 46:51 woman was sick, he felt sad; he wished 46:53 he were the one who was sick. 46:56 When he enjoyed something, he wished 46:58 that the enjoyment was also tasted by 47:00 what? The one he loved. He had planned 47:05 to marry her. What happened? This woman 47:08 married another man. 47:12 Even though he had spent years 47:13 preparing himself. Was he sad? 47:15 He was sad. Extraordinary. 47:18 Subhanallah. As time went by, he 47:22 married another woman. It turned out he 47:26 realized this woman was more noble than 47:28 the previous woman. From observing that 47:33 woman's life with her husband, he 47:35 realized that if he had succeeded in 47:37 marrying her, perhaps his life would 47:40 not be as happy as it is with this 47:42 woman. There was a man, he happened to 47:47 be from an Arab country, who wanted to 47:50 follow the guidance of the Prophet. 47:54 When he wanted to get married, he asked 47:56 to be shown several women, several 47:59 options. Then he asked one by one about 48:04 these women offered to him. Which one 48:07 is the most righteous among them? Which 48:09 one is the most pious and most obedient 48:11 to Allah? He was shown that 48:14 such-and-such person was the most pious 48:16 , most righteous, 48:18 but her face was less beautiful 48:19 compared to the others. 48:21 He said, "I choose the one pointed out 48:23 by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon 48:25 him." He said when I first saw her, I 48:29 didn't love her at all. Not interested. 48:32 I was actually interested in looking at 48:34 the others. But because the Prophet 48:36 pointed to this woman, 48:38 I chose this woman. He said after I 48:41 married her, he swore, I truly, deeply 48:45 loved her. Deeply what? Loved her. It 48:49 is not love at first sight, but love 48:51 that is illuminated by Allah Subhanahu 48:53 wa ta'ala. So let us not be prideful 48:58 when we receive blessings without being 49:00 grateful for them. And let us not 49:04 despair when we are facing trials. We 49:07 are being tested in this world, this is 49:09 not the final outcome. Alghina wal 49:12 faqru ba'dal ardhi Allah. Wealth and 49:14 poverty are determined after people are 49:16 judged before Allah. Subhanakallahumma 49:18 wabihamdik ashadu alla ilaha illa anta 49:21 astagfiruka wa atubu ilaik wal afu 49:23 minkum. Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 49:26 wabarakatuh. 49:27 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 49:28 wabarakatuh. Thank you, jazakallahu 49:32 khairan, to our teacher Ustadz for 49:34 sharing the wisdom, especially 49:37 regarding the disaster of the volcanic 49:40 eruption of Anak Krakatau that just 49:42 occurred 3 or 4 days ago, specifically 49:45 on Friday. God willing, we can take 49:49 lessons from this natural event. An 49:52 event that has certainly been decreed 49:53 by Allah, Ustadz. This becomes a 49:55 sunnatullah, there is much wisdom, and 49:57 many lessons for us all. And brothers 49:59 and sisters, we would also like to 50:02 convey, as some have already stated, 50:05 especially from the Ministry of Health, 50:08 the safety measures, Ustadz, while we 50:10 are on alert for volcanic ash: to 50:13 always clean the yard, protect glass 50:16 and vehicles by keeping them rinsed, 50:18 because there is so much of that 50:21 volcanic ash, and use masks when we are 50:24 active outside. And earlier I was also 50:26 reminded by the Ustadz, do not rub your 50:28 eyes because there is silica in it. And 50:31 the Ministry of Health also reminds us 50:33 to rinse them immediately with clean 50:35 running water. So, let us all remain 50:38 vigilant, Ustadz. May Allah protect us 50:40 all and keep us all in good health. 50:42 Brothers and sisters, I am Rizal Haq, 50:44 along with my colleagues on duty, Kang 50:46 Ondi and Kang, signing off. Billahi 50:48 taufiq wal hidayah. Wasalamualaikum 50:50 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
