And 3:45 there is no power nor strength except 3:47 by Allah, the Exalted, the Almighty. 3:49 Our Lord, increase us in knowledge and 3:52 join us with the righteous. Brothers 3:59 and sisters, may Allah have mercy on 4:00 you. Peace, mercy, and blessings of 4:03 Allah be upon you all. Allah Subhanahu 4:14 wa Ta'ala shows us the best provision 4:19 of all, both in this worldly life of 4:24 ours, and at the time we are 4:29 resurrected in the hereafter. A 4:32 provision which is the best provision 4:37 for every aspect of our lives, namely 4:44 taqwa, being mindful of Allah. Allah 4:48 says in Surah Al-Baqarah, "Take 4:50 provisions, for indeed the best 4:52 provision is taqwa, and fear Me, O 4:54 people of understanding." Take 4:58 provisions for yourselves. Indeed, the 5:02 best provision is fear of Allah (taqwa) 5:04 . And fear Me, O you who are wise and 5:11 discerning. Taqwa in Arabic is derived 5:19 from the word 'waqa', 'wiqayatan'. The 5:24 'Ta' in the word 'taqwa' comes from the 5:26 letter 'waw'. For ease of pronunciation 5:33 , the Arabs changed it to 'ta', hence ' 5:37 taqwa'. The basic meaning of taqwa is 5:41 to guard, to fortify, and to protect. 5:47 When a person always feels that they 5:50 are being watched by Allah, that Allah 5:53 oversees all their movements, then a ' 5:57 hasasiah' will arise in our hearts, 6:02 truly a very, very sensitive feeling 6:07 towards things that do not please Allah 6:10 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. An enthusiastic 6:14 drive to draw closer to Allah, to act 6:17 in accordance with His pleasure, by 6:19 hoping for His pleasure. The same 6:22 applies to the promise that Allah has 6:24 made for His servants who are pious. He 6:27 will always be self-vigilant. He will 6:30 be cautious because whatever is said or 6:33 done does not escape the knowledge of 6:36 Allah. And none of that will be left 6:39 unaddressed. Goodness will be rewarded 6:41 with something better. Evil will be 6:43 requited with something worse. Whoever 6:57 does good will be rewarded with a 6:59 better reward. Meanwhile, those who do 7:04 evil will encounter the recompense 7:06 according to their deeds. When we 7:10 realize that our deeds, whether good or 7:13 bad, return to us, inevitably a strong 7:19 spirit to do good will arise in our 7:23 hearts. Goodness toward ourselves, 7:29 toward our families, and toward those 7:33 around us. We also restrain ourselves 7:38 from disturbances that could cause 7:40 damage on the face of the earth, and he 7:43 will guard himself against actions that 7:46 would bring negative impacts upon him. 7:50 Because all bad deeds will certainly 7:53 return to him. Therefore, Allah 7:57 Subhanahu wa ta'ala reminds us in Surah 8:01 An-Nahl verse 90. Innallaha ya'muru bil 8:08 'adli wal ihsan wa ita'i dzil qurba wa 8:12 yanha' anil fahsya'i wal munkari wal 8:15 bagh-yi, ya'idukum la'allakum 8:18 tadzakkarun. This is a command affirmed 8:23 by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala in His 8:25 holy book. Just as Allah governs the 8:30 universe with complete justice. Even 8:34 His mercy encompasses everything. 8:38 Likewise is His generosity and also His 8:41 forgiveness toward His servants. Allah 8:45 commands us, His servants, to always 8:50 truly treat people with justice. We 8:57 treat people with complete justice. 9:00 Just as we want to be treated justly, 9:03 then treat others with complete justice 9:06 , which will maintain the balance of 9:09 this life. In the Arabic language, the 9:13 word*al-adlu*describes balance. 9:21 Therefore, to maintain balance in our 9:27 lives, whether in our family life, our 9:30 society, our nation, or our state, 9:33 without justice, it is impossible for 9:36 us to achieve balance. Thus, Allah 9:40 affirms that He governs the universe 9:41 with complete justice. Was-sama-a 9:45 rafa'aha wa wada'al mizan, alla tatghau 9:48 fil mizan. How the heavens are upheld 9:51 by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah 9:53 placed a scale that maintains its 9:55 balance. So do not transgress beyond 9:59 the scales of truth and justice. This 10:05 is a very beautiful depiction where 10:08 being just is linked to the justice 10:11 that maintains the balance of the 10:14 universe. So Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 10:22 commands us all to uphold justice. In 10:28 Surah An-Nisa, Allah Subhanahu wa 10:31 ta'ala affirms this firmly in verse 135 10:34 . Ya ayyuhalladzina amanu kunu 10:40 qawwamina bil qisti syuhada-a lillah. O 10:46 you who have believed, be those who are 10:48 always upholding justice as witnesses 10:51 for Allah. You also deliver your 10:55 testimony. Solely for the sake of Allah 10:58 . Then Allah emphasizes, "Walau 'ala 11:02 anfusikum awil walidaini wal aqrabin." 11:05 Even if the consequences of upholding 11:08 this justice will harm you, will harm 11:13 your parents, or your close relatives. 11:19 Walau' ala anfusikum awil walidaini wal 11:22 aqrabin. If in a case our parents are 11:27 guilty and we are asked to provide our 11:30 testimony, we must provide our 11:32 testimony as it is. Even though we know 11:37 that we are commanded to be devoted to 11:39 our father and mother. But when our 11:42 parents commit a wrong, we must not 11:44 defend them simply out of filial 11:46 devotion. The same applies to our 11:49 relatives. Inakun ghanian au faqiran 11:53 fallahu aula bihima. Do not look at a 11:58 case based on whether someone is rich 12:01 or poor. So, regardless, whatever the 12:07 consequences, you must uphold justice 12:12 without discrimination. Right. 12:18 Defending someone just because they are 12:22 wealthy, or blaming another because 12:25 they are poor, is something that is 12:28 absolutely not allowed to divert us 12:31 from justice. Then fala tattabiallahu 12:38 aula bihima. If you claim to care for 12:44 the rich person or the poor person, 12:47 know that Allah is more loving and more 12:50 concerned for them. Do not let the 12:54 balance of life be destroyed by 12:56 injustice, false testimony, or biased 12:59 attitudes. Fala tattabiul hawa anilu. 13:04 Do not let following your desires cause 13:07 you to abandon justice. Then Allah 13:13 Subhanahu wa taala reminds us, wain 13:15 talbu fainnallaha kaana bimaaluna 13:17 khabir. If you ignore this and turn 13:23 away, know that surely Allah is 13:25 All-Aware of what you do. Do not assume 13:30 that just because you are powerful, 13:33 strong, or have status, you will be 13:36 protected from the unjust acts you 13:39 commit. In the eyes of Allah, none of 13:43 you is better or more superior except 13:46 those who believe, are pious, and stand 13:49 upon truth and justice. This is verse 13:53 135 of Surat an-Nisa. Meanwhile, in 13:56 verse 90 of Surat an-Nahl that we just 14:00 read, Allah firmly asserts, "Innallaha 14:03 ya'muru bil 'adl." Allah commands us to 14:07 uphold justice. After we uphold justice 14:12 , Allah Subhanahu wa taala reminds us 14:17 of something even greater. Wal ihsan. 14:20 To do ihsan (acts of excellence/ 14:21 goodness). If justice is a deed deeply 14:28 loved by Allah, then this act of ihsan 14:35 refines and sharpens the edge of 14:37 justice. For example, let's say we 14:41 provide assistance to someone in their 14:44 time of need without expecting any 14:49 profit or interest. After one month, it 14:53 turns out that when the time comes, 14:55 they are unable to pay. It is deferred 15:02 again. It turns out their condition is 15:03 indeed weak. Forget about paying back; 15:05 they are struggling even for their 15:07 basic needs. Then, with a generous 15:12 heart, we say, "I forgive the debt for 15:15 you." Justice requires them to pay back 15:19 their loan in the amount borrowed. 15:23 But ihsan here is applied because we 15:25 see the condition of our brother in 15:27 need, and a believer is a brother to 15:29 another believer. After we give them 15:32 leeway, it turns out they are still 15:34 unable to pay. Allah says, "Wa in kaana 15:37 dhu' usratin fanadhiratun ilaa maysarah 15:40 ." If they are in difficulty, grant 15:42 them a respite until a time of ease. Wa 15:44 an tasaddaqu khayrun lakum. But if you 15:48 give it as charity, it will be better 15:50 for you if you only knew the value of 15:52 such goodness in the sight of Allah. 15:55 Therefore, the next verse says, wattaqu 15:57 yauman turja'una fihi ilallah. Be 15:59 careful and vigilant. Facing the day 16:02 when you will be returned to the 16:03 presence of Allah. Nafsun ma kasabat, 16:08 everyone will be fully compensated for 16:10 what they have done without being 16:12 wronged in the slightest. Now, once 16:15 they remember their mistakes, their 16:16 sins, and the negligence that will be 16:18 accounted for by Allah, how heavy it 16:19 will be. But by sincerely letting go of 16:25 what is rightfully ours from our 16:27 brothers and sisters, granting this 16:29 forgiveness will cause Allah Subhanahu 16:32 wa ta'ala to forgive and overlook all 16:34 of our mistakes and sins. This worldly 16:37 life is very short. So, innallaha 16:40 ya'muru bil 'adli wal ihsan. Indeed, 16:43 Allah commands us to uphold justice and 16:45 then encourages us to do ihsan ( 16:47 goodness). But ihsan here must be based 16:50 on justice, Kang Rizal. Because if a 16:54 corrupt person takes wealth that is not 16:57 their right, which belongs to the 16:59 people, and then does good to their 17:01 relatives or those close to them, it 17:03 will not be accepted by Allah. So, 17:06 al-ihsan must truly stand on the 17:09 foundation of justice. Meaning, not 17:13 wronging others. Then wa-ita'i dzil 17:16 qurba, Allah reminds us to help and 17:19 assist our close relatives. We should 17:26 not help those far away while hoping 17:28 for praise, when those close to us are 17:30 ignored. If we help our relatives who 17:35 are experiencing difficulties, it will 17:37 lighten the burden of the community. 17:41 This means the number of people in need 17:43 will decrease, lightening the burden on 17:45 society, and naturally, we contribute 17:47 to solving the problems faced by the 17:49 community, even if it is just for a few 17:51 people. Now, just as Allah commands 17:58 these three things to maintain a 18:00 balance of life that will bring mercy 18:02 to us. Allah also warns us against 18:04 three things. Wa yanha' anil fahsya'i 18:08 wal munkar. Allah forbids us from 18:10 committing shameful acts. Pay attention 18:14 , Kang Rizal. The first command is 18:16 justice. The first prohibition is 18:19 shameful acts. Why? Because these 18:23 shameful acts are what lead many people 18:25 into injustice. Look at our officials 18:29 who are offered women; good people, 18:32 even scholars, become so tempted by 18:35 women that they easily abandon what 18:37 Allah commands and even fall into what 18:40 is forbidden by Allah Subhanahu wa 18:43 ta'ala. Therefore, these shameful acts 18:46 are, truly, what? Greatly hated by 18:49 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Even before 18:53 the prohibition against killing, Allah 18:55 reminds us, "wa la taqrabuz zina innahu 18:57 kana fahisyatan wa sa'a sabila." Only 19:00 after that is "wa la taqtulun 19:02 nafsallati haramallahu illa bil haqq." 19:08 So, Allah forbids us from shameful acts 19:10 . Because these shameful acts destroy 19:13 the human brain, truly ruin their souls 19:15 , and make them lose consciousness, 19:17 just like the nations before us 19:19 experienced. For example, the people of 19:23 Lot, how they fell into shameful acts 19:25 until warnings and advice were of no 19:28 use to them. And how nations were 19:31 destroyed, like Pompeii, they were also 19:34 destroyed as a result of the shameful 19:37 acts they committed. 19:39 They would no longer listen to advice 19:41 and warnings. And now, our youth are 19:44 also led into shameful acts through 19:47 various pornographic sites. Until they 19:50 finally lose their common sense, 19:52 including the parents. The impact of 19:56 these pornographic sites is not only on 19:59 the young people, but also on parents 20:01 and married couples. So, Allah forbids 20:07 us from lewd and evil deeds, and all 20:10 acts rejected by human nature, which 20:13 are universal crimes. Not only in one 20:17 religion, but all religions agree that 20:19 such deeds are evil. There are 20:25 universal values of goodness known as 20:27 al-ma'ruf. There are also deeds, crimes 20:31 , and sins that are universal. So, 20:35 Allah does not command something 20:37 foreign, nor does He forbid us from 20:39 what is considered beneficial to humans 20:41 , but what is commanded are virtuous 20:43 deeds. And what is forbidden are evil 20:47 deeds. Evil. Then, violating the rights 20:52 of others. Ya'izukum la'allakum 20:57 tadzakkarun. Allah gives you advice so 21:00 that it may be a lesson for you. Even 21:05 if we possess the wealth of the world 21:07 and all its contents, and we are in a 21:09 secure position because of the many 21:11 forces protecting us, without piety 21:13 toward Allah......all is in vain. Even 21:17 if our children are clever, smart, 21:19 highly educated, and hold degrees as 21:22 the hope of their parents, without 21:24 piety, they will only become refuse in 21:26 society. But with piety, they are truly 21:31 able to contribute benefits, at the 21:33 very least for themselves and their 21:36 families. If their authority is broader 21:40 , they will be able to do good for the 21:42 wider community. Therefore, the best 21:44 provision is only piety toward Allah. A 21:47 person, even if intelligent, even if 21:49 capable, let's say appointed as a 21:51 leader, if their heart does not observe 21:53 Allah, does not feel watched by Allah, 21:56 they will turn into a devil, they will 21:58 turn into a wild beast that preys here 22:00 and there and will never be satisfied 22:02 with what they obtain. Only piety 22:05 toward Allah will lead us to become 22:08 servants who are grateful for His 22:10 blessings. Concerned about everything 22:14 that is said or done. They will guard 22:17 their eyesight, their hearing, their 22:19 tongue, and their private parts from 22:21 deeds forbidden by Allah. Therefore, 22:24 pray to Allah that Allah pours piety 22:27 into all of our hearts. Amin ya rabbal 22:30 alamin. 22:30 Amin. Amin. Amin ya rabbal alamin. 22:33 Thank you, Ustaz, for the study session 22:35 . 22:36 And with your permission, Ustaz, we 22:37 will move directly to......before we 22:40 read the questions from the brothers 22:41 and sisters. Such as the WhatsApp 22:43 messages from Ibu Aminah, Ibu Fani, Ibu 22:46 Vivi, and others. Ustaz, I would like 22:49 to ask about the incident last Sunday, 22:52 Ustaz, on July 26th. This was quite 22:56 shocking, a clash in Matraman, Ustaz, 22:59 between native Matraman residents and 23:03 newcomers, Ustaz. The trigger was 23:06 actually simple at first, Ustaz. 23:08 According to the news, it started 23:10 because the newcomers were making noise 23:13 by revving their motorcycles in front 23:15 of native Matraman residents who were 23:18 eating nasi uduk, if I'm not mistaken, 23:20 Ustaz. It was around 10 o'clock. In the 23:22 morning, Ustaz. Eventually, after being 23:25 reprimanded, the newcomer brought their 23:28 friends and destroyed the nasi uduk 23:30 cart, Ustaz. Long story short, a clash 23:34 occurred that claimed the life of one 23:37 of the newcomers, Ustaz. As of now, 23:40 thank God, it is already conducive. It 23:42 can be considered safe. Activities are 23:45 back to normal, um, because TNI and 23:48 POLRI personnel were deployed, and 23:50 school activities are also normal and 23:53 conducive, Ustaz. And seven suspects 23:57 have also been identified, four 23:59 suspects for damaging the cart and 24:01 three suspects for causing the loss of 24:03 life in the clash, Ustaz. Now, we see 24:07 this phenomenon in society, right? 24:10 Easily triggered, Ustaz, from what we 24:12 initially considered a trivial matter, 24:14 Ustaz, yes, to the loss of life. Um, 24:18 previously it was reported, um, many 24:20 cases of vigilantism, like the chicken 24:22 thief or the motorcycle thief, ending 24:24 up dead. How do you see this phenomenon 24:27 in society today, Ustaz? 24:31 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 24:32 , the Most Merciful. O Allah, guide us 24:38 to the paths of peace, bring us out of 24:40 darkness into light, and guide us to 24:42 the straight path. If we look at 24:46 Indonesian society today, especially 24:50 amidst the scarcity of jobs, rising 24:55 prices of goods, where people find it 25:00 difficult to meet their basic needs. 25:05 Then Satan will easily control them, 25:08 except for those who are pious towards 25:12 Allah. The pious, those who hope in 25:16 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, fear Him, 25:18 and are certain of Allah's promises. In 25:22 the midst of these life difficulties, 25:24 they will never experience fear or 25:26 sadness because they are with Allah. As 25:29 His word says, "Indeed, those who say, 25:31 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remain on 25:33 a right course—no fear will there be 25:35 concerning them, nor will they grieve." 25:38 Indeed, those who, in this life, say, " 25:41 Our Lord is Allah, our protector is 25:44 Allah." Then they remain steadfast, not 25:48 deviating at all from the path. They 25:53 continue to hold onto Allah, hope in 25:54 Allah, seek refuge in Allah, and follow 25:56 Allah's guidance. They will not 26:00 experience fear in facing anything, and 26:03 they will not grieve over losing 26:05 anything. Because nothing will be lost. 26:08 They realize that they themselves, all 26:10 their possessions, and this universe 26:12 belong to Allah. They are only 26:13 recipients of a trust. So they try to 26:16 guard Allah's trust as best as they can 26:18 . But when humans forget Allah and do 26:22 not hold onto Him, their lives will be 26:25 tossed about. Like someone falling from 26:31 a high place, entering an abyss, or 26:35 someone snatched by a bird and carried 26:39 far to a steep and terrifying place. We 26:45 see the phenomenon now of anxiety that 26:49 currently plagues people's lives. For 26:53 example, a prince from Saudi Arabia 26:56 named Abdullah bin Fahad bin Abdullah 27:02 bin Abdul Aziz, the grandson of the 27:03 late King Abdullah. At 29 years old, he 27:07 was found dead in a Marriott hotel 27:11 bathroom due to using alcohol and 27:14 anti-anxiety medication. Why is that? 27:20 At such an age, wealthy, with all his 27:23 needs met, yet he experienced anxiety. 27:27 And this is not limited to Abdullah bin 27:29 Fahad. Almost most of the youth in 27:33 Saudi Arabia, in the Gulf countries, 27:34 including in our own country, are 27:36 experiencing anxiety, not knowing the 27:38 purpose of their lives. Like, like what 27:42 ? Like oil the moment it touches fire. 27:48 How do you imagine it, Kang Risa? It 27:51 ignites immediately. So just, just 27:54 something, say, touching it will make 27:58 it very easy to catch fire. Because why 28:01 ? 28:01 Because their lives are restless. Their 28:04 lives are restless, easily provoked. 28:06 Yeah. 28:08 Now, for our rich country of Indonesia, 28:11 many are tempted, whether from outside 28:14 parties or greedy people who want to 28:17 control our land. 28:21 Through conflict, through opposition, 28:23 through riots, they enjoy the benefits. 28:26 So there are those who lose, and those 28:28 who profit. Likewise, there are foreign 28:31 parties who want to create a truly 28:33 chaotic atmosphere in our country. 28:38 Unbeknownst to the leaders at the top, 28:40 they don't realize that if a riot 28:42 occurs, they are the first to become 28:44 victims. Yeah. 28:46 But if they uphold justice, bring 28:48 prosperity, and peace to the people, 28:50 they are the ones who will be loved and 28:52 defended by the people. So many leaders 28:57 at the top, the elites, and those 29:01 gifted by God do not realize that they 29:04 are actually digging their own graves. 29:10 The people of Indonesia are very easily 29:12 pitted against each other. Especially 29:13 since we know Indonesia is not from one 29:15 tribe, but from various tribes. 29:18 Moreover, there are also many people 29:20 who are hurt by the injustice that 29:22 happens to them. Or what happens within 29:26 society. These are things that can 29:28 trigger what? Riots. They could even be 29:32 more horrific than the '98 riots. 29:35 Yeah. 29:36 '98 was solely due to economic issues. 29:39 Yes, now it could be racial riots, or 29:41 even inter-religious riots, which are 29:43 the most horrific. Like the incident 29:47 yesterday in Matraman, we witnessed 29:49 people from the East carrying out 29:52 attacks, mostly non-Muslims. Remember 29:56 the incident when there was a clash 29:59 between the Ambon community and the 30:01 Muslims in the city area, if I'm not 30:03 mistaken, in the Kebun Jeruk area or 30:06 somewhere. Until finally, the Muslims 30:09 came out in droves to face the people 30:11 from the East who were using machetes 30:13 while challenging people here and there 30:15 . That is a sign of how easily they are 30:19 provoked into being pitted against each 30:21 other. What I fear, what I worry about 30:23 amidst the difficult economic situation 30:25 , negligent officials, and oligarchs 30:27 having fun, is that they don't realize 30:29 what is really happening underneath. It 30:33 is an explosive ready to detonate. If 30:39 there are people who act as detonators 30:42 to explode this situation, then 30:45 everything will go out of control. I 30:50 ask, how many military personnel do we 30:52 have, how many police officers, that do 30:55 not reach the ratio capable of 30:57 controlling the country? 31:01 Our police officers, when facing a 31:03 major riot, will take off their 31:05 uniforms and join the people. 31:07 Yeah. 31:08 They are also people. If they take off 31:10 their uniforms, they are the people. Is 31:11 that right? 31:12 Yes. Likewise with our military 31:15 personnel, they are also part of the 31:17 people. When faced with a riot that is 31:19 out of control, they will take off 31:21 their uniforms. They also have wives, 31:22 have children who are part of the 31:24 people. 31:24 Yeah. 31:26 So when they are strong and secure, 31:28 they can hold out. But with numbers 31:32 that never reach the ratio capable of 31:35 controlling the country, this could 31:38 truly lead to something very horrific. 31:42 terrifying. If clashes were to happen 31:45 among fellow what? Fellow Indonesian 31:48 people, then the ones who will suffer 31:51 are not just one group but everyone 31:54 will face losses. Therefore, how 31:58 beautiful it would be if the government 32:01 , the military, and the police joined 32:04 with the people to uphold justice, 32:07 defend the oppressed, protect the 32:10 persecuted, and justly punish those who 32:13 commit crimes, including those seeking 32:17 to profit from these riots, those 32:21 fishing in troubled waters to make the 32:24 fish drunk so they can take advantage. 32:27 They should have no place at all. 32:30 Therefore, for the people to trust 32:32 those who uphold justice, they must 32:35 truly uphold justice. So, if the recent 32:39 events in Matraman are investigated, we 32:41 must find out who the real mastermind 32:43 is. Then, yes those who incite riots 32:49 must be dealt with firmly. Must be 32:52 dealt with firmly. It must not be 32:53 allowed at all. Whether, let's say, the 32:57 rioters come from the east or from the 32:59 general public. Because without anyone 33:02 spreading propaganda, it could not have 33:04 developed so rapidly. So whoever is at 33:08 fault among them must truly face strict 33:11 legal sanctions. If we play around with 33:15 things like this, especially playing 33:17 with religious issues. It would be very 33:21 easy for our nation to be completely 33:23 destroyed. Not just fractured, but 33:26 utterly destroyed, until people cannot 33:28 find a single safe place to take refuge 33:30 . Once a crisis happens, especially a 33:33 food crisis, yes 33:34 i 33:34 a crisis of confidence. What can be 33:36 what can be expected at such a time? 33:39 Therefore, I remind the President, the 33:43 ministers, and the officials, do not be 33:47 busy playing games. Because Allah 33:51 Subhanahu wa ta'ala is never silent. He 33:54 only delays. Delays. If it is still 34:00 ignored, then disaster will come. 34:03 Therefore, an Arabic proverb says, man 34:06 yahar yukhar. People who oppress will 34:10 surely one day be oppressed. Waman 34:14 yudor, those who do things that 34:17 endanger others will also be struck by 34:21 danger. Waman ababuli. If someone mocks 34:26 others 34:27 for something considered bad, they will 34:30 experience the same ordeal. If he mocks 34:34 someone by saying they suckle on a dog, 34:36 before he dies, he will suckle on a dog 34:38 . Then wamanama yudlam. Whoever commits 34:44 injustice will be treated with 34:45 injustice. Not one will escape. 34:48 Innallaha yumhil wala yuhmil. Allah 34:50 delays and gives chances because of His 34:53 vast mercy. But Allah does not ignore 34:56 nor neglect. So no one will escape the 34:59 reach of Allah's law. Only piety will 35:02 save us. Now, scholars need to descend, 35:04 don't just play at the top. Playing 35:07 among officials, playing among the 35:09 oligarchy, also playing in buildings 35:11 teaching and preaching. The people 35:13 below are to be pitied. When the people 35:14 want to call a scholar, the cost is 35:16 expensive. Not just the calling fee, 35:19 but there is a down payment. Ultimately 35:22 , people who never listen to 35:24 educational enlightenment are very 35:25 easily provoked. Like dry leaves and 35:30 kindling. Once a flame touches them, 35:34 they ignite very easily. Therefore, the 35:37 responsibility of scholars is not to 35:39 collaborate with the oligarchy or 35:41 officials, indulging in pleasure and 35:43 forgetting themselves, but to educate 35:45 and guide society. God willing, if the 35:50 community is aware and enlightened, and 35:53 the leaders uphold justice correctly, 35:57 our country will be spared or kept away 36:00 from various disasters. Amen, O Lord of 36:03 the worlds. 36:04 Amen. Amen. Thank you, Ustaz, for the 36:06 answer. We will immediately read two 36:08 questions, Ustaz, from Ms. Vivi and Ms. 36:11 Fani. 36:12 From Ms. Vivi, Ustaz, she wants to ask 36:14 about debt, she says. Borrowing from a 36:17 bank. She once borrowed to build a 36:19 house. The house is finished, but the 36:22 borrower has passed away, Ustaz. Then 36:25 the debt collector came to his wife. 36:28 And the wife replied, "My husband has 36:30 passed away, Ustaz." 36:31 Hmm. 36:33 Since that incident, the collector 36:34 never came to the house again. Now, the 36:37 question is, what about the debt and 36:39 the house that is already built? Are 36:42 the wife and children responsible, or 36:45 is it considered settled? Because the 36:48 collector didn't come back. I will 36:50 combine this with Ms. Fani's question, 36:51 Ustaz, okay? Because this time it 36:53 relates to women, Ustaz. Why must women 36:58 continuously seek religious knowledge, 37:01 be smart in religious studies, and 37:03 always remain firm in their faith, 37:05 Ustaz? Thank you. Please provide your 37:08 advice. 37:09 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 37:10 , the Most Merciful. What I know is 37:14 that when someone borrows money to 37:16 build their house, it is usually 37:20 accompanied by insurance. 37:23 Hmm. 37:25 If the borrower passes away, then 37:27 naturally the insurance is responsible 37:29 for the repayment. That is why banks 37:33 usually will not grant loans, or 37:36 insurance will not cover people who are 37:39 elderly or sickly. Because the borrower 37:43 usually has to undergo a medical 37:44 check-up, their age is considered, and 37:46 their employment is checked. So when 37:49 they borrow, what happens? It turns out 37:53 the borrower dies, or say they bought a 37:57 house on credit, guaranteed by the bank 38:00 . If the borrower dies, the insurance 38:04 pays it off, and the house becomes 38:06 theirs. That is how it works. So the 38:10 collector apparently didn't return 38:12 because they found out the borrower had 38:13 passed away. Now, regarding the 38:17 obligation that we must pay, for the 38:20 bank, it is automatically settled. Hmm. 38:24 But technically, what we use is not 38:27 just bank money, but money from the 38:29 public who deposited it in the bank. 38:32 Is that correct? 38:32 That's right. 38:33 Or to the insurance company, so do good 38:36 deeds. Mother and family, do good to 38:39 others. Especially to those who are 38:44 unable or poor, to lighten your burden. 38:50 Because regardless, if rules are made 38:52 that do not align with Islamic rules, 38:54 they still will not absolve us of our 38:56 responsibility. So, let's do good to 38:59 others as much as we can. Let us not 39:02 commit injustice and let us seek 39:04 forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa 39:05 ta'ala. We can help those who are 39:08 struggling, the weak, and those who 39:10 need assistance for home repairs. 39:13 Because it is the people who are 39:15 actually harmed by the current system. 39:18 Interest rate hikes also cause the 39:20 price of goods to rise. 39:21 Right? 39:22 Isn't that true? Because every company 39:24 that borrows money from a bank must 39:26 account for interest payments. 39:28 Ultimately, sugar prices go up, and the 39:30 prices of basic necessities rise 39:32 because everyone uses banks. The 39:34 distributors use banks too, right? The 39:38 producers use banks, which is why the 39:40 price of goods goes up, because... 39:43 Because of what? Because of this 39:45 usurious system that is forbidden by 39:47 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Now, 39:49 regarding why a woman must study 39:51 religion? It's not just women, men and 39:55 women study religion not just to 39:59 memorize the Quran, hadiths, or laws. 40:02 No. Studying religion is to make us do 40:05 what? To truly live under the guidance 40:09 of religious teachings while always 40:11 hoping in Allah and fearing Allah. If 40:16 someone studies religion, be it a 40:17 father or a mother, and their soul 40:19 follows religious guidance, God willing 40:21 , their life will be protected. They 40:24 will not experience fear or sorrow. So, 40:27 learning religion is to know our 40:29 obligations to Allah, our obligations 40:31 to others, including the husband's 40:33 duties to the wife, and the wife's to 40:36 the husband. Then the obligations of 40:38 parents to children, and children to 40:39 their parents. In our society, it is 40:42 religion that explains this to us 40:44 directly from Allah, our Creator. Now, 40:47 if we obey and follow the guidance of 40:50 religion, we will receive Allah's 40:51 promise. If we do not obey or follow it 40:55 , then do not blame Allah, but blame 40:58 ourselves for wasting the hope in this 41:01 life. So, men and women, everyone 41:05 including officials at the top down to 41:08 the common people, must study what 41:11 their obligations are. Not just 41:14 demanding their rights, but knowing 41:15 their duties. If a husband does not 41:17 know his obligations to his wife, what 41:19 will happen? Or a wife who is only good 41:21 at complaining, only good at demanding, 41:23 without knowing her duties to her 41:25 husband, or parents to their children. 41:27 All of this causes destruction in the 41:29 midst of our lives. So hopefully, by 41:32 studying religion, it's not to boast, 41:34 not to be arrogant, or to become an 41:36 ustadz who is called here and there to 41:38 get tributes from the people's 41:40 hardships, 41:42 or to collude with officials or the 41:44 oligarchy. But to know what our 41:47 obligations are. What rights others 41:51 have over us so that we live under the 41:54 shade of Allah's guidance, which will 41:56 lead us to safety and happiness in this 41:59 world and the hereafter. 42:01 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik, ashadu 42:04 alla ilaha illa anta, astagfiruka wa 42:06 atubu ilaik, wa alfu minkum. 42:08 Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi 42:10 wabarakatuh. 42:11 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 42:13 wabarakatuh. That concludes, brothers 42:14 and sisters, our reflection under the 42:16 shade of the Quran for this morning's 42:17 edition. Thank you, Ustadz, for the 42:19 study and also the answers to the 42:21 brothers 'and sisters' questions. My 42:23 apologies, we haven't had a chance to 42:25 read the questions from Mr. Suprapto, 42:27 and also from Ms. Armali—or Mr. 42:29 Armali, right—in Dukuh, Jakarta. Then 42:32 there is Ms. Ani Cani Huzaifah. 42:35 Mashallah. The lady who yesterday sent, 42:38 uh, this Ustaz, some abon, Ustaz. 42:41 Give her my regards. Thank you very 42:42 much. I don't know who it was from 42:44 yesterday. 42:44 Yes. Thank you. 42:45 Thank you, Ms. Huzaifah. 42:46 Yes. Next is from Ms. Aminah in Citra 42:49 Indah. Thank you. God willing, we will 42:51 meet again tomorrow, Friday.
