Allah 5:35 Subhanahu wa ta'ala commands all of us 5:40 to emulate our Prophet Muhammad, may 5:42 Allah's peace and blessings be upon him 5:45 and his family, in every aspect of our 5:47 lives. Allah says, "Laqad kaana lakum 5:53 fi rasulillahi uswatun hasanah." Indeed 5:59 , for you there is the best of examples 6:04 in the person of the Messenger of Allah 6:07 , may Allah's peace and blessings be 6:09 upon him and his family. "Liman kaana 6:14 yarjullaha wal yaumal akhir wa 6:16 dzakarallaha katsira," meaning for 6:19 those who yearn for Allah, hope for His 6:22 pleasure, and look forward to meeting 6:25 Him on the day full of happiness which 6:28 is the longing of every believer, as 6:31 well as yearning for salvation and 6:34 honor in the afterlife, rather than 6:38 yearning for and desiring this world. 6:42 Because the world is a field for us to 6:45 cultivate in order to reap the harvest 6:48 in the hereafter, which is eternal and 6:51 everlasting. Not making religion a 6:55 field, and the world the goal. Then "wa 7:00 dzakarallaha katsira," and they always 7:03 remember Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 7:07 These are the three conditions to be 7:09 able to emulate our Prophet Muhammad, 7:11 may Allah's peace and blessings be upon 7:12 him. Namely hoping for Allah, hoping 7:19 for His pleasure alone, as well as 7:21 hoping for salvation and honor in the 7:23 afterlife, and always remembering Allah 7:26 . If a person possesses these three 7:30 criteria, then they will easily be able 7:32 to follow, mirror, and emulate the life 7:35 of our Prophet Muhammad, may Allah's 7:37 peace and blessings be upon him. The 7:41 Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace 7:44 and blessings be upon him, in his 7:47 preaching, not only did he not expect 7:50 gifts or rewards from his people; in 7:53 fact, through his preaching and 7:55 guidance, he changed the state of a 7:58 society that was previously living in 8:01 absolute poverty, suffering, and even 8:04 some in slavery. The Messenger 8:07 succeeded through his preaching and 8:09 guidance in bringing them out of the 8:11 various darknesses of life toward a 8:13 bright and shining life. From an 8:18 economy controlled by the polytheists 8:22 and the Jews, which left their lives in 8:25 a state of being mortgaged by the 8:29 oligarchs of that time and the Jewish 8:32 usurers. They were freed from those 8:38 shackles to become people who could 8:41 control the economy and truly stand on 8:44 their own feet, by truly turning their 8:48 faces to Allah, depending on Him, and 8:51 struggling in His path. So the coming 8:56 of the Messenger is as Allah proclaimed 8:58 , "Wama arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil ' 9:00 alamin." We did not send you except as 9:04 a mercy to the worlds. He was not just 9:07 a bearer of mercy, but his very 9:10 presence and arrival were a mercy to 9:13 the worlds. Not preaching among 9:42 the people and then commercializing 9:45 their preaching for personal gain. Yet, 9:50 in their midst, he encourages people to 9:54 live in a humble, simple state, without 9:58 being excessive. But his own life is 10:01 the exact opposite. He exemplifies a 10:05 life truly full of luxury in their 10:08 midst. The people live in difficult and 10:12 dire circumstances. Many of them have 10:17 even fallen into online loan traps. 10:20 Many of them have also fallen into 10:22 traps of usury. They do not know what 10:25 they should do. A scholar's arrival 10:28 among them should provide solutions on 10:31 how to save them from online loans by 10:33 helping to create jobs. How to unite 10:37 the economic power of the wealthy, by 10:40 investing their wealth and using their 10:44 zakat to help those without capital so 10:47 they can gain capital, so they can 10:50 truly rise from their downturn and 10:53 stand on their own two feet; not 10:56 ensnared in satanic traps until finally 11:00 they also experience threats to their 11:05 religion. Because as soon as they are 11:08 in need, they are easily held hostage. 11:11 Ultimately, because of their needs, 11:13 because of their condition of being in 11:15 debt and desperate, they could 11:16 potentially lose their faith. Therefore 11:21 , those who claim to preach in the way 11:23 of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala should 11:25 follow his noble example. And when he 11:29 invited them, he said, "Qul la 11:32 as'alukum alaihi ajro.""In ajri illa 11:37 alallah." Say that I do not ask for any 11:40 wage at all from you. My reward is only 11:43 from Allah because I work for Allah. " 11:46 Qul la as'alukum alaihi ajro in huwa 11:49 illa dhikrun lil' alamin." Say that I 11:52 do not ask for any wage at all from you 11:54 . What I am doing is merely doing what? 11:58 As someone who carries out the duty to 12:00 provide a warning to the worlds. Not a 12:04 warning that burdens them, but a 12:06 guiding warning that will lead them out 12:09 of darkness toward a bright and clear 12:12 life. Therefore, it is tragic and 12:17 heartbreaking that a cleric arrives in 12:20 a luxury vehicle and also lives in a 12:25 luxurious house, in a state of 12:26 prosperity. He preaches among a 12:29 community that lives in difficult 12:31 conditions. The community collects 12:34 their money, 500, 1,000, 2,000 rupiah. 12:38 They even push themselves because they 12:40 want to commemorate the Prophet's 12:42 birthday. Even though their lives are 12:46 truly pathetic. Meanwhile, the scholar 12:51 who should be an example comes to 12:53 deliver a one-hour lecture setting high 12:59 rates of 5 million, 10 million, and 13:01 some even 25 million rupiah. His heart 13:07 is not even slightly sensitive to 13:08 feeling the suffering of the people 13:10 living in such a truly weak state. The 13:15 scholar says, "Prove your love for the 13:17 Messenger of Allah.""Your love for the 13:20 scholars who convey what the Messenger 13:23 of Allah conveyed." So, his arrival 13:26 does not bring mercy or good news. The 13:31 poor people must contribute, for what? 13:35 To invite scholars with high fees. 13:38 Meanwhile, the scholar's heart is as 13:40 hard as stone. He eats from the results 13:44 , suffering, sweat, and even the blood 13:46 of his brothers. Where is the faith and 13:49 where is the example set by our Prophet 13:51 Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his 13:53 family and grant them peace? There are 13:57 even some among the Habaib who do this. 14:02 The one whose birthday they commemorate 14:03 is his own grandfather. He should be 14:06 full of gratitude toward the community 14:08 commemorating the Prophet's birthday, 14:10 peace be upon him. If he does not 14:13 contribute costs or donations to the 14:16 event, at the very least, his presence 14:18 should not be a burden to them. He 14:22 should instead be truly grateful to the 14:24 people whose souls are filled with love 14:26 for the Prophet, who is their 14:27 grandfather. But unfortunately, love 14:33 for the world has made their eyes blind 14:36 , their ears deaf, and their hearts 14:39 have lost all sensitivity. If they 14:43 truly desired Allah, His Messenger, and 14:46 the Hereafter, surely Allah would 14:48 replace what they receive from the 14:51 common people with something much 14:53 better. How could He not? Allah 14:57 Subhanahu wa ta'ala is Al-Ghani and 14:58 Al-Mughni, the All-Wealthy who bestows 15:00 wealth. How could you have the heart to 15:04 take from the weak and helpless, 15:07 arriving without offering solutions, 15:09 only delivering lectures filled with 15:12 laughter and humor that lull them to 15:15 sleep and distance them from the 15:17 religion of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala? 15:21 Therefore, in Surah Yasin, the advice 15:24 given by a young man who bravely and 15:27 firmly defended the messengers sent by 15:30 Allah when their people threatened to 15:33 stone and torture them with a painful 15:36 punishment—what did he say? Ittabiu 15:40 man la yasalukum ajron wahum muhtadun. 15:44 Follow those who come to convey the 15:48 messages of Allah. Without expecting 15:51 any reward whatsoever. Without 15:54 expecting any reward whatsoever. Wahum 15:56 muhtadun. And they are those who are 15:59 upon the guidance of Allah Subhanahu wa 16:01 ta'ala. Therefore, we truly want this 16:09 da'wah effort to be one that fully 16:10 seeks the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu 16:12 wa ta'ala. Not troubling the community, 16:16 the weak, and the needy. Instead, the 16:21 arrival of scholars should bring glad 16:24 tidings, providing capital for the 16:27 marginalized who wish to strive. If 16:31 necessary, they should even send people 16:34 who can provide business guidance so 16:36 that the recipients are not only 16:39 capable of receiving capital but also 16:41 able to open suitable businesses 16:44 according to the needs of their 16:46 environment. Then these scholars should 16:51 inspire the wealthy to contribute. 16:54 Because this da'wah is a communal 16:55 obligation (fardu kifayah). Those with 16:59 knowledge through their knowledge, 17:00 those with wealth through their wealth, 17:02 those in authority through their 17:03 authority—all working together for 17:05 what? To convey the message of Allah. 17:10 If the scholars convey it while the 17:12 wealthy do not contribute at all, and 17:15 then the da'wah faces obstacles, then 17:18 in the Hereafter, the wealthy will be 17:20 the ones with the heaviest reckoning. 17:24 Because their wealth is a test. Are 17:27 they grateful to Allah? No. But if the 17:30 scholars convey the message sincerely 17:33 while in a weak condition with limited 17:36 abilities, causing the da'wah not to 17:38 spread everywhere, it remains the 17:40 responsibility of the wealthy in the 17:43 Hereafter. Or if the scholars, having 17:47 no funds at all for da'wah, end up 17:50 asking for payments from the community. 17:53 Over time, with the excuse of da'wah 17:55 needs, they eventually become lovers. 17:58 Lovers of the world. Finally, they 18:01 start choosing areas where the payments 18:03 are likely to be quite high. They visit 18:06 them back and forth. But to the 18:07 disadvantaged, weak areas, they are 18:09 reluctant to go. Why? Because da'wah is 18:13 no longer about calling people back to 18:15 Allah; da'wah has become a project. 18:20 Especially during the commemorations of 18:22 the Mawlid or Isra and Mi'raj, we find 18:24 everything there except the Prophet, 18:26 except for love for the Messenger of 18:28 Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. 18:33 So let us, dear congregation, even 18:35 though these words are bitter and I 18:38 must speak them—and they also serve 18:40 as a whip and a warning to me 18:42 personally as a preacher—that if we 18:45 truly love the Prophet, prove it 18:47 through his exemplary character, which 18:52 should be our guide and foundation. Let 18:55 us not loudly proclaim that we are 18:57 Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, over and over 19:00 . Yet our practices and lives 19:01 contradict the life of the Prophet. May 19:04 Islamic da'wah in the future transform 19:08 into truly sincere da'wah. Cooperation 19:12 between scholars who are knowledgeable 19:14 —yes, not empty people without 19:17 knowledge, who wear the clothes of 19:19 scholars with turbans and robes just to 19:22 deceive the public, plunging society 19:24 into ignorance instead of providing 19:27 them with solutions and a way out. Then 19:32 the wealthy also contribute with their 19:34 wealth, not forgetting their 19:35 obligations. Those in power also 19:38 provide support with their authority. 19:41 Those who are physically strong provide 19:43 support with their strength so that 19:44 da'wah can spread. It is no longer 19:47 da'wah for groups and factions, not for 19:50 a "Sunnah party." I am not talking 19:53 about the Prophet's Sunnah. A Sunnah 19:54 party, or a Shia party, or Muhammadiyah 19:57 , or NU. But for Allah. Invite to the 20:00 way of your Lord with wisdom and good 20:03 instruction. And who is better in 20:05 speech than one who invites to Allah 20:07 and does righteousness and says, " 20:09 Indeed, I am of the Muslims." Until the 20:12 Ummah truly realizes that this da'wah 20:15 leads to mercy, to glory, to freedom 20:17 from various forms of oppression, 20:20 walking together with the Prophet and 20:22 his companions toward Allah. Bowing and 20:26 prostrating before Him. And Allah knows 20:28 best. Very well, Ustaz. Thank you for 20:31 your response to the phenomena 20:33 occurring in society. At the same 22:16 time, they say, "We are Ahlusunnah wal 22:19 Jama'ah. We are the Shia of Ahlul Bait, 22:22 followers of the Prophet's family. 22:24 Whereas if we look at the Prophet, his 22:27 family, and his companions, they lived 22:30 very, very simply. Many scholars and 22:36 clerics, driven by hatred, spread 22:39 slander, attacking Shia figures and 22:41 generalizing them all as the same. Yet 22:47 if we observe the Shia figures who are 22:50 currently at war with the Zionists, 22:52 their lives are very, very simple. Like 22:57 Sayyid Ali Khamenei yesterday who 22:58 passed away as a martyr. Perhaps some 23:01 say he died foolishly, not as a martyr. 23:03 Let them say what they wish to say. 23:06 Those who fight to defend their 23:08 brothers in Palestine. Preaching for 26:20 Allah, preaching on the path of His 26:22 Messenger, and inviting all people to 26:24 unite in Islam, not to be divided into 26:26 groups. Therefore, the claims of 26:29 Ahlusunnah wal Jama'ah, of Shi'a, these 26:31 are all claims that originate from the 26:33 devil. If you are Ahlusunnah, follow 26:37 the Prophet's example in preaching, 26:39 facing people of different religions in 26:41 a good way, especially when dealing 26:43 with fellow Muslims, even those from 26:45 different organizations or schools of 26:47 thought. Try sitting down together to 26:49 have a dialogue.
