Ladies, may Allah 2:35 have mercy on you, let us begin our 2:39 event by listening to the knowledge 2:44 that will be delivered by our teacher. 2:46 But first, we will hear an opening 2:49 message from our teacher, Ustaz Husein 2:51 Alatas; to the Ustaz, please proceed. 2:56 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 2:58 , the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah 3:01 , Lord of the worlds. Praise be to 3:06 Allah who has guided us to faith and 3:09 Islam and brought us out of darkness 3:12 into the light. From the nation of our 3:19 Prophet Muhammad, who was sent as a 3:22 mercy to the worlds. May the blessings 3:26 and peace of my Lord be upon him and 3:29 his family, and his companions, and 3:33 those who follow his righteous path 3:35 until the Day of Judgment. Our Lord, 3:39 grant us from Yourself mercy and 3:41 prepare for us from our affair right 3:44 guidance. Our Lord, increase us in 3:46 knowledge and faith through it. 3:49 Furthermore, peace be upon you, and 3:51 Allah's mercy and blessings. Before we 3:58 begin our question and answer session, 4:02 I will start with a brief introduction 4:07 regarding why Allah created us. All 4:15 this time, we have often heard 4:17 preachers reciting the word of Allah in 4:24 Surah Az-Zariyat. I did not create the 4:27 jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 4:33 Verily, I did not create the jinn and 4:36 mankind except for them to worship and 4:39 serve Me. The question is, does Allah 4:48 need our worship? Does Allah need our 4:54 worship? If Allah does not need our 5:01 worship, then why must we worship Allah 5:03 ? Is that correct, ladies? It is 5:09 impossible for us to do something in 5:12 vain. So the answer, ladies, is that we 5:19 worship Allah because of the 5:23 overflowing gratitude in our hearts for 5:29 Him having bestowed all the blessings 5:33 that we receive and feel in this life. 5:39 We, as a servant. to truly realize, 5:45 even without heaven or hell, without 5:53 any beautiful promises or threats of 5:56 punishment and torment, someone who 5:58 receives kindness from their Lord, the 6:01 Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, will 6:04 surely be called to be grateful to Him, 6:12 except for those whose souls are truly 6:16 consumed by anger, lust, and denial. 6:22 Now, to understand this, we need to 6:27 understand that the gratitude we mean, 6:31 in its essence, is not just saying " 6:34 alhamdulillah," not just simply saying 6:38 "alhamdulillah." But gratitude begins 6:43 with gratitude in the heart. Gratitude 6:45 with the heart. We realize and feel 6:52 with complete sincerity that all the 6:56 blessings we have, those our loved ones 6:59 have, and those in the entire universe 7:02 come from Allah, the Most Gracious, the 7:05 Most Merciful. So, the gratitude that 7:13 surges in our hearts naturally draws us 7:17 to love Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. To 7:23 love Him above all else. If we love our 7:29 parents because they are the cause of 7:34 our birth into this world, they are the 7:37 ones who struggle day and night, 7:39 especially mothers, for our benefit. 7:44 Our mothers work 24 hours a day; have 7:47 they ever received a salary for their 7:50 work? With complete sincerity. They 7:55 even offer what they possess to their 7:57 children. From childhood until the 8:00 moment they get married, a mother does 8:02 not hesitate to sell her jewelry to 8:04 provide for her children's wedding. If 8:08 we love them, is it appropriate, ladies 8:10 ? Is it appropriate to be devoted to 8:14 them? Is it fitting or not? Now, how 8:19 about towards Allah? The love in our 8:23 mothers 'hearts all comes from Allah. 8:26 The sustenance that Allah gives to our 8:28 parents, including all of us, comes 8:31 from Allah. When our parents sleep, 8:33 Allah never sleeps. La ta'khudhuhu 8:36 sinatun wala nawm. Which one should we 8:41 prioritize to love more? Allah or our 8:45 parents? Allah. We are obligated to be 8:49 devoted and do good to our parents. But 8:53 when our parents order us to do 8:55 something wrong, we must not obey, yet 8:58 we must still treat them in a kind way. 9:02 This means Allah's right is greater. Is 9:05 that right, ladies? Therefore, Allah 9:09 teaches us, with full attention to His 9:12 servants, one very beautiful prayer. 9:16 This prayer is found in Surah Al-Ahqaf. 9:22 In Surah Al-Ahqaf. Now, first, I will 9:26 read the opening of the verse. In the 9:28 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 9:29 Most Merciful. We have commanded man to 9:33 treat his parents with kindness. His 9:39 mother carried him with hardship. And 9:41 she gave birth to him with hardship. 9:48 And his gestation and nursing period is 9:51 thirty months, until he reaches 9:54 maturity. "My Lord, enable me to be 9:59 grateful for Your favor which You have 10:01 bestowed upon me and upon my parents 10:02 and to work righteousness of such 10:04 quality that You will approve. And make 10:07 righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, 10:09 I have repented to You, and indeed, I 10:11 am of the Muslims." We strongly advise 10:19 mankind to always treat their parents 10:22 with complete kindness. Especially the 10:31 mother, who carries with difficulty, 10:33 gives birth with difficulty, and the 10:36 period of pregnancy and breastfeeding 10:39 lasts for 30 months. Does it stop there 10:43 ? As soon as he begins to crawl and 10:47 walk, the mother's burden becomes even 10:49 heavier until he marries. Even after 10:52 she is married, if her child is hurt, 10:54 her heart will feel sad and distressed. 10:58 If her child is sick, she is willing to 10:59 take her child's place. Until when the 11:04 child reaches a mature age of 40, they 11:08 pray to Allah with the prayer that 11:11 Allah taught: "O my Lord, help me to be 11:15 grateful for Your favors that You have 11:19 bestowed upon me.""And likewise upon my 11:24 two parents.""Because the blessings 11:26 that Allah gives to them descend upon 11:28 us." Even from the moment we are in our 11:32 mother's womb, when we move, she tries 11:34 to be careful not to press on her child 11:35 . "And help me, O Allah, to perform 11:41 righteous deeds that You are pleased 11:43 with.""Improve my children for me, O 11:48 Allah.""Make them righteous people.""I 11:52 declare that I repent to You and I 11:54 declare that I am one who surrenders to 11:57 You." A person who prays with this 12:02 prayer, when they pass away, God 12:04 willing, they will die in a state of 12:06 husnul khatimah. Then the answer to 12:08 this prayer, ula'ika alladhina 12:09 nataqabbalu minhum ahsana ma' amilu wa 12:19 fi as-hab al-jannah. They are those 12:26 whose deeds We will accept at the best 12:29 possible measure. So, if you perform 12:33 deeds that are potentials of 6, 7, 8, 12:36 10, the lower deeds are immediately 12:39 raised to the top in terms of reward. 12:44 Humans usually calculate based on the 12:46 average. Is that right? The average is 12:49 calculated and then divided. But Allah 12:52 does not; small righteous deeds are 12:54 raised to be the best righteous deeds. 12:58 And We forgive all their sins and place 13:00 them in the gardens of paradise. A true 13:03 promise that Allah has promised for 13:05 them. Why? Because they walk and move 13:10 through life with an overflow of 13:12 gratitude. They love Allah more than 13:17 they love themselves, their families, 13:19 and everything else. If a person has 13:24 love for Allah in their heart that 13:25 exceeds everything, is it possible for 13:27 them to commit sins? It is possible, 13:30 but it is nearly impossible. If they 13:33 love Allah, then their entire attention 13:36 is focused on Allah. And they will be 13:40 kept away from everything that is not 13:42 in line with Allah's pleasure. They do 13:44 not hesitate to dedicate their lives to 13:47 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah says 13:51 in Surah As-Sajdah, reminding us of His 13:55 blessings and also giving us the means 13:59 to recognize Allah's blessings. Alladhi 14:04 ahsana kulla shay'in khalaqah. The One 14:09 who has beautified and perfected 14:11 everything that Allah has created. Wa 14:16 bada'a khalq al-insani min. He began 14:19 the creation of man from clay. mahin. 14:28 Then Allah made his descendants develop 14:30 from the essence of earth which 14:32 produces a despised liquid drop. We all 14:38 now see ourselves as handsome, 14:40 beautiful, yes, walking perfectly, 14:42 knowledgeable, and intellectual. But 14:46 look at our origin, min ma'in mahin. 14:51 Allah beautifies His creation from such 14:54 a humble origin. Then Allah perfected 14:59 our creation. Wa nafakha fihi min 15:02 ruhihi. Allah breathed the spirit of 15:05 life into the body. Because of the 15:07 nobility of this spirit, Allah 15:08 attributed it to Himself. He breathed 15:10 His spirit into the body. wa ja'ala 15:15 lakum as-sam'a wal-absara wal-af'idah. 15:20 Allah granted you hearing to learn to 15:23 listen to what is conveyed to you. 15:29 Allah gave you sight to see and learn 15:32 from what is seen. Then Allah bestowed 15:38 upon you 'fuad', a sense of feeling 15:41 that compels you to view all of this 15:43 with infinite wonder. Compelling you to 15:48 praise Allah with deep love. Gratitude 15:51 because Allah has poured all of that 15:53 out for us all. But alas, it is a great 15:57 pity. Even though we have 'fuad', 16:00 hearts and feelings, very few among you 16:03 are grateful because Allah is not in 16:06 your hearts. Even if He is there, the 16:09 space is small. When we are called to 16:13 pray, we pray reluctantly, giving zakat 16:17 is also burdensome, doing good is a 16:20 burden. But for having fun, for bad 16:24 deeds, there is no hesitation at all. 16:29 But if our hearts always remember Allah 16:31 , love Allah, then nothing in life is 16:32 burdensome. One day Imam Ali said this, 16:40 people are divided into three groups in 16:43 worshiping Allah. One group worships 16:49 Allah. Because of the lure of heaven. 16:53 Just heaven, the place in heaven, the 16:56 houris, and so on. So what is in their 17:01 minds is not Allah. Not because of the 17:04 call of love, but because of the lure 17:06 of heaven. Imam Ali said that is the 17:10 worship of merchants. Merchants. The 17:16 second worships Allah because of the 17:19 fear of the threat of hellfire. Not 17:22 because of Allah's call, not because of 17:24 love, but because of what? Hell. If 17:27 there were no hell, he would be 17:29 reluctant to what? To worship. Just 17:32 like a slave. If not threatened, not 17:35 supervised at work, he is lazy. Fatilka 17:39 ibadatul abid. That is the worship of 17:41 slaves. The third, he worships Allah 17:45 not because of heaven. Suppose there is 17:49 no heaven, there is no hell. His love, 17:51 his gratitude to Allah makes him draw 17:54 close to Him. Whereas heaven is a 17:56 reward for those who are grateful, hell 17:58 is a reward for those who are 18:00 ungrateful. Now, is it different if a 18:02 person worships because of heaven or 18:04 fear of hell compared to worshiping out 18:06 of love and gratitude to Allah? Is it 18:07 different, ladies? If you love your 18:10 husband, is serving your husband heavy? 18:14 Is it heavy, ladies? You love your 18:18 children, working day and night for 18:20 your children, is it heavy? But if we 18:24 work not out of love, it feels heavy. 18:29 If a guest you dislike comes to your 18:31 house, you feel short of breath. You 18:34 cough, feeling uncomfortable. Bloated 18:37 stomach. Is that right? But if someone 18:41 you like comes to your house, even if 18:43 you were feeling down, that feeling 18:45 disappears. Is that right? Feeling 18:48 unwell, suddenly feeling fresh. Is that 18:51 right, ladies? Because of what? Because 18:53 of love. So, we should know that Allah 18:57 is extraordinary in His love for us. 19:02 Therefore, one of the most magnificent 19:05 surahs in the Quran, the most 19:07 magnificent is Surah Al-Fatihah, which 19:12 we always recite repeatedly in prayer, 19:14 reminding us of this. As soon as we say 19:17 'bismillahirrahmanirrahim', we are 19:19 reminded that everything comes from 19:21 Allah. So we mention the name of Allah, 19:25 the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful 19:26 , as our expression of gratitude to Him 19:28 . Truly understand that all blessings 19:32 from the sky and earth stand by the 19:34 name of Allah. Rain falls also by the 19:38 name of Allah. Who commands the rain to 19:41 fall? In the name of Allah. We are also 19:45 born into this world by the name of 19:47 Allah. We grow with intellect and 19:49 knowledge by the name of Allah. So 19:51 never forget to return it all to Allah. 19:54 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. In the name 19:57 of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 19:58 Merciful. After that, Alhamdulillahi 20:02 rabbil alamin. All praise is due to 20:05 Allah, the Most Gracious and Most 20:06 Merciful. This is the opening of Surah 20:10 Al-Fatihah. If a person absorbs it 20:13 every day, its meaning will never end. 20:17 It is filled with semantic and 20:18 spiritual richness. But unfortunately, 20:22 we only read it without absorbing it. 20:25 Ladies, if you pray without love in 20:26 your heart, you will not have focus. Is 20:29 that right? But once there is love and 20:32 longing for Allah, you will wait for 20:35 the call to prayer, and what will you 20:37 truly strive for? To welcome the prayer 20:39 , rather than being waited for by the 20:41 prayer. Just as you wait for someone 20:46 you love, pacing back and forth. Why 20:49 haven't they arrived yet? Is that right 20:51 ? But if someone you don't like is 20:54 coming, you think, "Oh God, I hope it 20:55 doesn't happen, I hope it's canceled." 20:58 Is that true, ladies? So, do not let us 21:02 lose our love, our longing, and our 21:05 gratitude to Allah. So the first 21:08 gratitude is with the heart, the second 21:11 is with the tongue, constantly praising 21:13 and mentioning the name of Allah, just 21:15 as the sky and earth mention the name 21:18 of Allah. The third gratitude is by 21:23 placing and using Allah's blessings in 21:26 places that please Him. In places where 21:31 our sustenance, our lives, our ages, 21:33 including our families, are used. We 21:36 strive to truly walk and utilize 21:38 Allah's blessings in accordance with 21:41 His pleasure. Not having a celebration 21:45 just because you were promoted to an 21:48 official, inviting people to eat, laugh 21:50 , and have fun, or hiring a clown for a 21:52 birthday party. That is not the way. 21:58 But remember, all these are blessings 22:01 from Allah; share with those who are 22:03 struggling and in need as an expression 22:06 of our gratitude to Allah. This opening 22:11 hopefully invites you all to be able to 22:13 be grateful to Allah by loving Him. 22:19 Even if there were no heaven or hell, 22:21 our love for Allah would still lead us 22:23 to always be grateful to Him. Wallahu 22:27 a'lam (Allah knows best). Now, let us 22:29 start the Q&A session. 22:33 >> Very well. Alhamdulillah, ladies and 22:35 gentlemen, we have listened to the 22:37 introduction delivered by our teacher. 22:40 For the next part, we will hold a 22:42 direct dialogue. However, for this 22:44 first part, I have a pre-submitted 22:47 question. It is very fitting with what 22:51 the Ustaz explained earlier, the 22:53 question is as follows, Ustaz. 22:56 Regarding the change in weather, in the 23:02 past, there was a long drought. Then, 23:06 today we have started to feel the rain. 23:11 When it's a drought, sometimes we don't 23:13 realize or we accidentally let our 23:14 tongues slip, saying "why is it so hot? 23:23 ""It's so hot, oh God, why is it so hot 23:26 ?" and so on. Then when it rains, there 23:30 are times when disasters like floods 23:32 and others will also occur at some 23:34 point. What is the best way for us to 23:38 express our current situation so that 23:41 our speech does not complain about 23:44 circumstances or even diminish and 23:46 damage the value of our faith in Allah 23:49 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala? 23:51 >> Alright. In the name of Allah, the Most 23:55 Gracious, the Most Merciful. From our 23:57 Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa 23:59 alihi wasallam in an authentic hadith. 24:02 He said, "Inna amra al-mu'min kullahu 24:07 ajabun." Indeed, the state of a 24:15 believer is entirely amazing. Entirely 24:20 amazing. "In asabathu sarra syakara 24:25 fakana khairan lah." If they receive 24:30 goodness, they are grateful to Allah 24:32 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Their heart is 24:35 filled with an overflow of gratitude. 24:36 Cultivating love in their heart. 24:40 Encouraging themselves to be closer to 24:43 Allah and also increasing Allah's 24:45 blessings upon them. "Fakana khairan 24:49 lah." So this gratitude makes their 24:52 life situation better. "Wa in asabathu 24:56 dharra sabara." If they receive a trial 24:59 , they are patient. They are patient, 25:02 and with their patience, they receive a 25:04 reward from Allah without measure. With 25:07 their patience, Allah is always with 25:09 them. "Innallaha ma'as-sabirin.""Innama 25:12 yuwaffa as-sabiruna ajrahum bighairi 25:14 hisab.""Fakana khairan lah," so that 25:18 will be better for them. Ladies, if we 25:23 didn't experience a long drought, would 25:26 you enjoy the arrival of rain? Do you 25:31 enjoy it, ladies? But with the 25:35 alternation of day and night. During 25:38 the day you work, at night you rest. 25:41 What if it were all daytime? Or all 25:44 darkness? If the sun faced one 25:49 direction, the earth didn't rotate, one 25:52 side facing the sun and the other 25:54 turned away from it. The side facing 25:57 the sun would be scorched and burned, 26:00 and the one turned away would freeze. 26:03 Life could not possibly exist at all. 26:08 Allah made the day for us to work, but 26:10 people now make the day for sleeping, 26:14 and the night for staying up late. Back 26:20 in the 70s, farmers would wake up 26:22 before dawn to pray at night, pray at 26:25 the mosque, and after Fajr prayer, go 26:28 straight to the rice fields. Later in 26:35 the day, their wives would come 26:37 bringing a basket. Bringing what? 26:41 Providing them with food. After working 26:44 hard, they would eat rice, fresh 26:46 vegetables, sour soup, and salted fish. 26:49 People in the midst of luxurious living 26:52 do not enjoy such life. Their wives 26:55 would wipe the sweat off their tired 26:56 husbands. They enjoyed the beautiful 26:59 atmosphere and the scenery. Then the 27:02 work yielded extraordinary results. The 27:05 productivity rate was extraordinary. To 27:08 the point where the country was 27:09 self-sufficient in food at that time. 27:12 The village cooperative units were full 27:14 of rice. Rivers were clear and not yet 27:18 polluted at that time. Gradually, VCDs 27:23 and DVDs entered; parents who 27:26 previously did not watch various films 27:30 had their brains corrupted by those 27:34 films. Their children were the same. 27:38 Eventually, they were busy staying up 27:40 late into the night. Work in the 27:42 morning was delayed. They would only go 27:45 to the fields at 10:00 AM. Working for 27:46 a short while, they were already tired 27:48 and exhausted because they didn't sleep 27:49 at night. Now with gadgets, it's even 27:52 worse. In the past, people plowed using 27:57 water buffalo while pushing, showing 27:59 how much effort went into it. Now many 28:02 use machines. Therefore, Allah mentions 28:10 in the enjoyment of work, "fa-idha 28:13 faraghta fansab." This is the provision 28:18 for effort. You should not do 28:20 everything. Do one thing, once finished 28:22 , move to the next. Then make Allah 28:25 your only hope. The word*fansab*is what 28:28 makes life’s blessings felt. *Inna 28:30 ma'al 'usri yusra. *The true enjoyment 28:33 of life comes when we work hard. If 28:37 someone sleeps all morning, sleeps all 28:39 day, then wakes up with no spirit, will 28:41 they have an appetite? Even with 28:45 various dishes, they won't have an 28:46 appetite. But when they work, sweat, 28:50 exert themselves, and get tired, only 28:51 then do they feel the pleasure. So 28:55 Allah made the night a time for sleep 28:57 and rest so we can work in the morning. 29:01 Now, let's talk about the rain. With 29:03 the rain in our country, praise be to 29:05 God, we have plenty of rivers. It is 29:08 just a shame that what used to be water 29:10 catchment areas are now buildings, with 29:16 roads, houses, and buildings 29:17 constructed without providing for water 29:19 absorption. Yet our country is so vast. 29:22 Singapore is a small country. In every 29:25 region in Singapore, there is a large 29:28 lake to collect water. The government 29:32 forbids its people from extracting 29:34 groundwater, but they provide water to 29:37 ensure the land does not subside. The 29:41 water supply is sufficient, and if 29:42 needed in an emergency, they can 29:44 extract water from below. Then there 29:47 are the trees, which are incredibly 29:49 clean and lush. So if we wear clothes 29:51 in Singapore for three days, when we 29:53 take them off, there is no smell at all 29:55 . If we are here and go out for a while 29:58 , our necks turn black and we sweat, 30:00 and the smell is unpleasant because 30:01 it's mixed with what? With germs and 30:04 fungi. Just imagine, in Indonesia, the 30:09 rain that falls into our rivers goes to 30:11 waste in the ocean. Imagine if we 30:14 prepared water reservoirs like they do 30:18 to face the dry season. What if, 30:22 starting from the upstream of the 30:24 Ciliwung River, the Citarum River, and 30:27 various other rivers, every time they 30:29 pass an area, they prepare a large lake 30:32 for water absorption? They should also 30:37 plant trees to keep the air cool. 30:41 During the dry season, we would have a 30:43 sufficient water supply. Right now, 95 30:45 percent of water is wasted into the 30:48 ocean. Not to mention the pollution of 30:51 the rivers. Pollution—Allah created 30:53 the rivers clear and clean. We used to 30:56 bathe in the rivers here in Jakarta. 31:00 Bathing in the river, the water was 31:02 clear; we could see fish right before 31:03 our eyes. Because underneath there were 31:05 stones and sand. Now the sand and 31:08 stones are taken for construction. 31:10 Underneath there is only mud, which 31:11 makes the water dirty as well. I 31:13 remember in the year sixty-something, 31:15 1965, back in Bogor, from the house in 31:22 the rice fields, we would cross over to 31:24 the riverside. Down there was a large 31:27 rock where people would pray and do 31:28 their laundry. The atmosphere was 31:31 incredibly beautiful. Everything is now 31:33 destroyed by human hands. The water is 31:36 polluted. The Citarum and Ciliwung 31:39 rivers are now black. Even the rice 31:43 fields that use that water become 31:45 contaminated. Until finally, we see 31:48 diseases emerging in people who eat 31:50 rice; illnesses like diabetes, which 31:52 used to be rare, are now incredibly 31:55 common. Because of what? Pollution. So 31:58 it is the humans who are at fault; when 32:00 the dry season comes, they experience 32:03 water shortages. Added to that, the 32:06 trees are also being cut down. Roads 32:08 and houses are built without any regard 32:11 for the environment. So, who is the one 32:13 doing the destroying? Doharal fasadu 32:16 fil barri wal bahri bima kasabat 32:18 aidinas. Damage occurs everywhere 32:22 caused by the actions of human hands. 32:26 In the rainy season, we should be 32:29 preparing our water. The air is also 32:32 cool, alhamdulillah. Furthermore, 32:35 impurities in the air are cleaned. In 32:38 the dry season, God provides heat that 32:41 kills bacteria, viruses, and so on. 32:46 Back when we had that long COVID, 32:47 people hoped for the summer to come, 32:49 why? So that with the help of the 32:53 scorching sun, the effects of illnesses 32:55 could be reduced. So day and night 32:59 change here, if the environment is 33:01 preserved, humans will enjoy it 33:03 immensely. I lived in Rawamangun in '67 33:05 . In Rawamangun, there were trees 33:11 everywhere in the "wood forest," as the 33:13 name implies, with kemang trees, mango 33:16 trees, and even cempedak trees along 33:18 the roads that the community could 33:20 enjoy. It was truly a wood forest, and 33:25 houses were still rare. But everything 33:29 was destroyed by human hands. Here is 33:31 the conclusion, ladies. The dry season 33:33 comes bringing blessings. The rainy 33:36 season comes bringing blessings. Isn't 33:38 that right? A volcanic eruption also 33:40 brings blessings. It is just a shame 33:43 the government does not step in to 33:46 prepare houses for the community that 33:48 are safe from volcanic reach. Because a 33:52 volcanic eruption, besides bringing 33:54 benefits to fertilize the soil, creates 33:57 the most fertile regions. Furthermore, 34:00 this volcano acts as a heat valve that 34:03 relieves the earth's heat. If there 34:06 were no heat valve, what would happen? 34:09 If you don't believe me, take your car, 34:11 turn it on, and block the exhaust. What 34:14 happens? The car's exhaust is blocked. 34:17 Try to imagine what happens? The car's 34:20 engine could explode. So, this Merapi 34:24 volcano is a valve that relieves the 34:26 earth's heat. Once it releases its 34:30 contents, erupts, it lightens the 34:32 earth's heat, brings fertility, brings 34:34 sand, and brings gravel that is useful 34:36 for humans. It's just a shame that we 34:39 live in wild areas without receiving 34:41 any attention. Now, the government 34:45 knows this is a volcano. They should 34:47 provide paths for the lava to flow down 34:50 . They should also prepare mitigation 34:54 sites that can keep people safe when 34:56 facing threats. And a volcano doesn't 34:59 erupt without warnings. Isn't that 35:01 right? From the moment it starts 35:04 rumbling, yes, the people can be 35:05 evacuated at that time. But the 35:08 officials are busy looking after 35:10 themselves. Isn't that right? Regarding 35:14 the forest fires in Kalimantan, people 35:16 are not allowed to report the news or 35:18 they face sanctions and punishment. Why 35:21 ? The faults of corporations building 35:26 plantations create losses and disasters 35:29 . And these corporations are tied to 35:31 corrupt officials. So the conclusion is 35:34 that God created nature in perfect 35:37 balance. Human hands are the ones 35:39 destroying the land, the oceans, and 35:41 the air, all damaged by human hands. 35:45 Now, it's a pity for those who are 35:47 innocent, who did nothing wrong. But 35:50 their mistake is that they stay silent 35:52 about these crimes, so in the end, they 35:54 get affected too. If your neighbor's 35:56 house is on fire and you just stay 35:57 quiet, won't your house be affected too 35:59 ? This means we humans, as one family, 36:03 must work together. If something is not 36:05 right, we must stop it together. Don't 36:08 say everyone should fend for themselves 36:09 . In Indonesia, our principle is to 36:12 fend for ourselves. Is that right, 36:14 ladies? So, is it Allah who is wrong, 36:16 or us? Who is at fault? We are the ones 36:20 at fault. For example, let's not look 36:23 too far. Our neighbor burns trash, and 36:25 the smoke comes out. What they burn 36:28 could be plastic waste; all that 36:30 non-organic waste is poisonous. Now, we 36:35 must remind them. But offer a solution 36:38 for how their waste can be handled, so 36:41 it isn't a burden for them. Meanwhile, 36:45 leaves can be buried to become compost, 36:48 made into compost with provided tools, 36:51 or buried so the soil becomes fertile 36:54 again. Whereas plastics and poisonous 36:58 wastes must be saved to be recycled. 37:02 Imagine if the government provided 37:04 people to collect that plastic waste; 37:07 the poisonous waste could be collected 37:09 again. But it's such a pity, we aren't 37:14 educated or guided, even though our 37:16 country is very wealthy. What is it 37:19 that our country doesn't have? We have 37:22 everything. We have everything. What we 37:27 lack is a sense of shame. This sense of 37:30 shame is what's missing. Does anyone 37:33 else have a question? Alright, after 37:36 this, we will open it to the 37:38 congregation if anyone has questions. 37:42 >> Does anyone want to ask something? 37:43 >> Just one thing, I just found out that 37:44 Hutan Kayu was actually...... 37:46 >> it was a wooden forest originally, 37:48 right, Ustaz? 37:48 >> Not wood. 37:49 >> But I was born in Hutan Kayu, Ustaz. 37:50 >> What year were you born, Ma'am? 37:51 >> '75. 37:52 >> '75? 37:53 >> Yes. 37:53 >> You were still very young then, Ma'am? 37:55 I was just born. 37:55 >> It was in '67. 37:57 >> Oh, I see, you weren't born yet. 37:58 >> Back then, all the rare trees were 37:59 there. 38:00 >> Oh, I see, Mashallah. Alright, anyone 38:02 asking...Yes. 38:09 >> Ladies first, Sir. 38:13 >> Ladies get three turns for every one 38:15 for the men. 38:17 >> Aren't we honorable, ladies? 38:19 >> It's honorable in Islam, right? 38:20 >> Yes. Come on. 38:23 >> The lady in front first. Please go 38:24 ahead. 38:26 >> Please, Ma'am. Pian. 38:30 >> One by one, Ma'am, okay? If there are 38:31 two, the problem is...... 38:33 >> we're starting to get forgetful now. 38:34 >> Please go ahead. 38:40 >> Use the...use the...... 38:42 >> the one below. 38:47 >> Please, Ma'am. 38:51 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 38:52 , the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you 38:54 and Allah's mercy and blessings. My 38:57 name is Ibu Risti from Ciracas. 39:02 >> Yes, my name is Ibu Risti from Ciracas. 39:06 My question is, why is it that whenever 39:10 I visit or attend a funeral, we always 39:14 recite Surah Yasin? Aren't other Surahs 39:20 even better? Why do we always read 39:23 Surah Yasin? So, my question is, what 39:26 is the proper and good way to offer 39:29 condolences? 39:34 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 39:35 , the Most Merciful. O Lord, increase 39:39 my knowledge and join me with the 39:41 righteous. We visit the home of a 39:45 family that has lost a loved one. 39:52 Surely sadness overwhelms them, right? 39:54 Losing the person they love. It could 39:58 be losing a father, a mother, a sibling 40:01 , or a child. Naturally, we come to 40:05 pray for them. May Allah increase your 40:08 reward. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 40:13 grant you a great reward. And may Allah 40:17 improve your consolation. May Allah 40:19 comfort your grief. Then, may Allah 40:23 forgive the deceased. May Allah forgive 40:26 the deceased, whether man or woman. May 40:29 Allah admit them into the gardens of 40:32 His paradise. Then we look at their 40:36 condition, their circumstances. What 40:39 can we do to help those who have passed 40:41 away? Sometimes, they don't even have 40:47 the means for a shroud or burial. Is 40:51 that not true? So, the community as an 40:54 extended family should provide support. 40:57 Then, regarding the condolences event, 41:01 do not burden the family of the 41:04 deceased. If we want to recite prayers 41:07 or Tahlil, let the men do it at the 41:09 mosque or prayer room. But for the 41:12 women, let the female neighbors visit 41:15 the family at their home. For example, 41:19 today breakfast is brought by so-and-so 41:21 for two or three people. At noon, 41:24 someone brings lunch. In the evening, 41:27 someone brings dinner. Do not make the 41:29 family go through the trouble of 41:31 cooking anything. Then, recite prayers. 41:33 You can recite the Quran from 41:35 Al-Fatihah all the way through. If done 41:36 together, a full recitation of the 41:38 Quran is very meaningful. What is the 41:39 purpose? To bring peace to the hearts 41:42 of those in the house. Do not let the 41:44 family of the deceased laugh, roar with 41:46 laughter, or engage in useless talk. 41:49 There are even those who play cards. It 41:52 is no surprise if Chinese people play 41:54 cards while waiting for their deceased 41:56 family members. We fill it with the 41:59 Quran and Dhikr, to comfort those at 42:02 home and pray for the deceased. If 42:06 mothers gather at the house of the 42:08 deceased, taking turns reading the 42:10 Quran and praying, would that family 42:12 feel lonely? True, they are sad. But 42:18 with the comfort of friends reciting 42:21 the Quran together, it is beneficial 42:24 for the living and for the deceased. We 42:31 pray for the deceased to receive mercy 42:34 and forgiveness by making the Quran and 42:36 Dhikr our means. For 3 days, let the 42:43 women offer condolences, and the men at 42:45 the mosque after Maghrib prayer, for 42:48 just 10 minutes. The best remembrance 42:51 is La ilaha illallah. I remember in 42:53 Purwakarta at Raudah Mosque, if someone 42:56 passes away, after congregational 42:58 Maghrib, the mosque provides simple 43:00 ginger coffee. Recite the Quran, Dhikr, 43:04 pray for the deceased, while praying 43:06 for our parents who have passed away, 43:08 then finish. No need to trouble 43:10 yourselves with cooking and turning the 43:12 house upside down. Do not be like some 43:14 of our brothers in the village who, 43:16 pitifully, sell their land for a 43:17 Tahlilan event. In Jakarta, some once 43:20 wanted to sell their pedicabs and 43:22 rickshaws for Tahlilan. I said, "Why 43:24 are you selling them? This is your 43:26 children's inheritance for their living 43:29 capital." Why would you spend that? Who 43:33 makes these teachers take advantage of 43:35 ignorant people? Teachers. Then they 43:39 read the Quran for 7 days, 40 days, 43:42 costing 10 or 20 million. That is 43:44 forbidden. Forbidden. Forbidden. I 43:48 remember one person whose Quran 43:50 recitation was extraordinarily good. He 43:53 and his siblings made a business out of 43:57 making projects to recite the Quran at 44:00 graves. Some for a week, some for two 44:03 weeks, some for 40 days. The payment is 44:06 quite large. Some were nearly 10 44:09 million, 20 million, some were 50 44:10 million. Well, one time this person, 44:15 the oldest one with the best recitation 44:16 , came to my house. He said, "Ustaz, 44:20 last night I dreamed that I was 44:23 drinking blood and pus." Before this, 44:28 if I was leading prayers as an imam, he 44:29 would tap me from behind. Don't take 44:31 too long. Essentially, his attitude was 44:34 not appealing at all. At that moment he 44:38 said, "Ustaz, last night I dreamed of 44:40 drinking blood and pus." I said, I 44:43 paused for a moment. I told him, "Do 44:45 you know this is a warning for you? You 44:49 are eating the blood and pus of poor 44:50 people who have passed away in hardship 44:52 . Reading the Quran and praying should 44:56 not be paid for.""We should sincerely 44:58 pray for our brothers." Rabbanafirlana 45:01 waliikhwanina sabaqu bil iman. The 45:05 donations people give should go to 45:06 their families, not to us. Finally, 45:10 from that moment on he said, "From now 45:12 on, I repent." So, I said, if that's 45:16 the case, from now on you should teach 45:18 at the mosque. You don't need to ask 45:20 for payment from the students; we will 45:22 prepare the congregation to provide a 45:23 monthly salary for you. Allah provided, 45:27 subhanallah. He started teaching people 45:30 who came, children who wanted to learn 45:31 without receiving any payment. But we 45:34 in the neighborhood provided assistance 45:36 for him. One day he came to my house. 45:41 It had been about a month since he last 45:42 came to the house. "Ustaz, I am 45:44 currently experiencing difficulties."" 45:49 My child wants to enter school but I 45:51 don't have the funds.""The down payment 45:55 is quite expensive." I said, "I am just 45:59 like you.""I am also renting a house 46:04 and I don't have any extra money.""Even 46:07 for my monthly expenses, I am sometimes 46:09 short.""So I cannot possibly help you." 46:12 "But there is Someone who can help you. 46:13 " Who? Allah. Allah hears your 46:18 situation, He knows your laments. Let's 46:21 pray together. I wanted him to truly 46:23 feel that Allah was helping him. 46:25 Together we raised our hands to pray, 46:27 and he prayed with great devotion. 46:30 After we finished praying, we chatted 46:32 for maybe less than 10 minutes; mind 46:35 you, I was still living in the Cawang 46:38 Celilitan area. When it floods, 46:40 subhanallah, it is extraordinarily 46:41 beautiful. Sometimes the flood reaches 46:45 up to 3 meters. Suddenly, two people 46:50 arrived. Then they said, "Ustaz, this 46:54 is for fisabilillah.""Place it wherever 46:56 you see fit, Ustaz." I didn't even look 46:59 at it again. I said, "Allah has 47:00 answered your prayer.""How beautiful it 47:03 is for you to be with Allah; you prayed 47:05 and were answered directly by Allah 47:06 Ta'ala." I gave it to him; he opened it 47:10 , and the amount was exactly what he 47:11 needed for his school fees. This is not 47:15 an empty story. So then how beautiful 47:19 it is if we always lean on Allah. Allah 47:22 will certainly answer our prayers. 47:24 Waqbukumuni astajib lakum waidza 47:27 saalaka ibadi anni fainni qorib. 47:30 Subhanallah. Not long after that, he 47:32 passed away. He passed away with an 47:36 incredibly peaceful heart. There was no 47:38 burden left in his heart. He repents 47:40 from his mistakes. Isn't that just 47:42 beautiful? So, we want if there's a 47:45 tahlil, or any event, for the men at 47:47 the mosque to also pray for our parents 47:50 and all the believers. And for the 47:54 women, visit the grieving family, see 47:57 if the widow has children, no job or 48:00 income, and think together about how 48:02 she can start a business. As for 48:07 reciting the Quran, it doesn't have to 48:09 be Surah Yasin, but Indonesians just 48:11 love short ones. Right? Don't wait for 48:16 the last prostration to pray. "Ustaz," 48:18 I say, pray in every prostration if you 48:20 want, not just the last one. We can 48:23 pray in every prostration. After we 48:25 recite "Subhana rabbiyal a'la 48:26 wabihamdih." Sisters and brothers, ask 48:29 Allah for anything. Don't complain to 48:31 humans. Complain to Allah. Later, Allah 48:33 will move His angels or people to come 48:36 to you. If you appear this way, you 48:41 will become an incredibly happy person. 48:44 Therefore, why do we waste such an 48:46 opportunity? Allah gives us the 48:48 opportunity, so let us ask Allah every 48:50 moment. Day or night, it doesn't matter 48:53 . When we ask Allah, we don't need a 48:58 mediator to deliver our requests. When 49:01 we confide or complain to Allah, our 49:03 secrets are kept safe. Allah will not 49:05 tell them to anyone else. Isn't that 49:07 right, ladies? So, in conclusion, when 49:10 visiting the bereaved, we pray and also 49:12 help them by reciting the Quran. The 49:15 purpose is to comfort the living and 49:18 provide rewards for those who recite it 49:20 . And afterwards, we pray, "O Allah, 49:23 with the Quran we recite, we seek Your 49:25 pleasure, along with our tasbih and 49:26 dhikr.""Forgive the deceased, O Allah." 49:31 "Comfort the family at home.""Replace 49:34 them with the best replacements." But I 49:38 must warn you, in funeral prayers, 49:40 people often get the prayer wrong. A 49:44 woman is buried—or the funeral prayer 49:46 is held—and the person praying says, 49:48 "O Allah, replace her with a husband 49:50 better than her husband.""The husband 49:52 is standing right in front of him." Or 49:56 if the one who died is the husband. "O 50:00 Allah, replace him with a wife better 50:02 than his wife." Would you be offended, 50:05 ladies? You must pray as the Quran 50:08 teaches. "Rabbana wa adkhilhum jannati' 50:11 adnin allati wa'adtahum wa man salaha 50:13 min aba'ihim wa azwajihim wa 50:14 zurriyyatihim." O Allah, admit them 50:18 into paradise with the righteous among 50:20 their parents, their spouses, and their 50:22 children. Don't ask for them to be 50:25 replaced by another spouse. Unless the 50:29 husband is a disbeliever or an apostate 50:30 while the wife is a believer, then "O 50:32 Allah, replace him with a better 50:34 husband." But if they are both 50:37 believers, pray that they may be 50:38 reunited in the afterlife. Isn't that 50:41 right, ladies? So, if there is a 50:43 funeral prayer, tell the Imam, "Don't 50:44 pray for our husbands to marry someone 50:46 else.""Right, ladies?" Yes. Is there 50:51 anyone else? 50:53 >> Very well. That has been answered, 50:55 Ma'am. Go ahead with the second one. 51:12 >> Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 51:14 and blessings. 51:15 >> And peace be upon you, and Allah's 51:16 mercy and blessings. I am Ibu Rundi. 51:19 Ustaz, what I want to ask is, how do we 51:23 cultivate gratitude when we are 51:26 suffering a calamity? Because often 51:30 >> when facing a calamity, yes. Yes. 51:33 Because often we can only find the 51:36 wisdom in it after it's over, after the 51:40 calamity has passed. When we are struck 51:45 by a calamity, we often panic, feel sad 51:49 , struggle, feel worried, and so on. So 51:54 , how do we cultivate that (gratitude) 51:58 while we are experiencing it? That is 52:02 all, Ustaz, thank you. 52:04 >> Alright. Who was the second one, who 52:06 wants to go next? Who was it that 52:08 wanted to ask? One more, okay. 52:11 >> The front. 52:11 >> Just one more at the front, okay. Yes, 52:14 please, Ibu. One and...alright, lastly, 52:26 Ibu. Please, go ahead. 52:28 >> Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 52:30 and blessings. 52:31 >> And peace be upon you too. 52:32 >> Alhamdulillah, I have been given the 52:34 opportunity, Ustaz. 52:36 >> Please, Ibu. 52:37 >> It so happens that most of us here are 52:40 elderly, Ustaz. 52:42 >> You ladies are still young. 52:45 >> On average, we are over 60. Earlier, we 52:49 were talking about prayers. I would 52:52 like to ask for help, Ustaz. I happen 52:55 to be not feeling very well, but by 52:57 Allah's permission, Alhamdulillah, I 52:59 can be here. Could you please provide 53:05 us—those of us here, especially— 53:09 with tips or prayers so that our spirit 53:13 remains high to attend gatherings like 53:17 this? Sometimes, when we want to attend 53:20 , we think, "Oh, my feet hurt," or "Oh, 53:23 I have a headache." So, perhaps there 53:26 are tips or prayers that can give us 53:28 spirit, Ustaz. Previously, I would like 53:31 to say thank you. I am Lili Segar from 53:33 Cawang, Ustaz. 53:34 >> MashaAllah. 53:35 >> Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 53:37 and blessings. One more, Ibu. Go ahead, 53:41 continue, Ibu. Please, go ahead. 53:43 >> Peace be upon you, Ustaz. I am from 53:47 Makarsari. Two months ago, I attended a 53:51 study session; the place was, let's say 53:53 , quite elite. 53:57 >> Two months ago, I attended that study, 53:59 not outside, Ustaz, but in a cafe. 54:03 >> Then, there were two questions 54:06 regarding Palestine, but the Ustaz 54:09 limited it and only said we should 54:12 leave it to the Indonesian government. 54:16 That Ustaz said that. What I want to 54:20 ask here is...Why, even though we are 54:25 fellow Muslims, do they not care about 54:28 the current situation in Palestine, and 54:31 unfortunately, they frame it as if 54:33 Palestine being colonized by Zionists 54:36 is their own fault? That is what we 54:40 deeply regret, Ustaz. 54:41 >> May I have some enlightenment? 54:42 Jazakumullah khair. Peace be upon you, 54:44 and Allah's mercy and blessings. And 54:47 peace be upon you. To the first 54:50 question earlier, Ibu. A person was 54:53 crying over a grave because their 54:55 family member had passed away. The 55:00 Prophet passed by, peace be upon him 55:02 and his family. As he passed and saw 55:06 the woman crying, he said, "Isbiri 55:09 wahtasibi.""Be patient and hope for a 55:16 better reward from Allah Subhanahu wa 55:19 Ta'ala." The woman was angry. "Ila anni 55:25 , go away from me. You do not feel what 55:30 I feel." She didn't know it was the 55:33 Messenger of Allah. Finally, the 55:36 Messenger of Allah walked away 55:37 patiently. The Messenger of Allah never 55:39 once responded to bad things with evil. 55:42 Someone told her, "Don't you know that 55:44 is the Messenger of Allah? The woman 55:46 immediately got up. She said to the 55:48 Messenger of Allah," I will be patient 55:50 now. "The Messenger replied," True 55:53 patience is at the first strike. " 55:56 Patience is tested at the first impact. 56:00 If one has already complained and 56:02 expressed unpleasant things, they have 56:05 failed the test of patience. Has 56:09 everyone here ever experienced trials? 56:14 As long as we live in this world, we 56:16 will not escape trials. These trials 56:19 determine the quality of our character. 56:22 Does the quality of one's self in good 56:25 trials show whether they are grateful? 56:28 Is their heart so callous that they do 56:30 not feel the hand of Allah bestowing 56:32 those blessings? Instead, they give 56:34 thanks to others. When given hardships, 56:39 are they patient while awaiting the 56:41 mercy of Allah and aware that this 56:44 trial is not because Allah has 56:46 abandoned them? If they have the 56:51 provision of faith when they enjoy 56:53 blessings, they will be grateful. As 56:56 the hadith mentioned earlier, if they 56:58 are aware and have faith, they realize 57:01 when trials come that it is not just 57:03 them; even better, more noble people 57:05 face trials. For example, our Prophet 57:09 Muhammad, peace be upon him, never 57:11 rested for 23 years. In Mecca, he was 57:13 insulted and abused; in Taif, he was 57:16 stoned. If one is aware of this, when 57:19 facing a trial, they pray to Allah," O 57:24 Allah, we do not ask You to avert Your 57:26 decree. "O Allah, we do not ask You to 57:30 reject Your destiny." But grant us the 57:33 strength to be patient with the trials. 57:35 "O Allah, grant me the gift of patience 57:37 in facing trials. So, mothers, when 57:40 facing a trial, say," O Allah, we do 57:43 not reject Your decree, but help us to 57:45 be patient and open-hearted in facing 57:47 this trial. "" And it may be that you 57:51 dislike a thing which is good for you. 57:53 "Many things you consider bad actually 57:57 have goodness behind them. I have often 58:01 encountered such things. I have often 58:04 encountered such things. I remember 58:07 when I wanted to get married, having 58:12 returned from Egypt. I didn't date or 58:15 anything, but I heard about some good 58:18 women. Yes, I proposed, but they were 58:22 rejected. Then the second time, my 58:27 parents also proposed. The second was 58:29 also rejected, and by the third time, 58:32 my father said," I won't propose unless 58:34 it's certain to be accepted. "I said," 58:37 Father, we are men, we can propose. " 58:39 Women just have to wait. Is that right? 58:42 Men are the ones who propose. And if it 58:45 is rejected, it means they are not our 58:47 soulmate. They might be a good person, 58:49 but it doesn't mean a good person is a 58:50 match for another good person. Right? 58:52 And I always ask Allah that if this is 58:55 the right partner, may Allah make it 58:58 easy. If not, distance us and replace 58:59 them with someone even better. Until 59:02 God allowed me to propose to the last 59:04 one, without even seeing her face, but 59:06 I heard her character was good and so 59:09 on. She had just finished high school. 59:13 We proposed and God made it easy. 59:16 Getting married was also made easy for 59:18 us. Then we lived in a house by a small 59:21 river. Even that was a rented house; I 59:24 sold all my household furniture, 59:26 cabinets, appliances, and she accepted 59:28 it. We had modest chairs, plastic mats, 59:32 and cabinets thrown away by others that 59:34 I used for the house. A year after 59:37 living in that rental, we had a child. 59:39 Alhamdulillah. The lease ended, we 59:42 moved to the next rental. It just so 59:44 happened there was someone who wanted, 59:46 uh, what do you call it? To move. The 59:48 lease hadn't ended yet. I took the 59:50 third year. Alhamdulillah, I was able 59:52 to own a house by God's grace. We 59:55 started from hardship, living by the 59:57 river, flooding many times. But God 1:00:00 provided ease. Every time a trial came, 1:00:02 I received an even greater reward. So 1:00:05 with these trials, once or twice, we 1:00:07 get used to the fact that what? God 1:00:10 never abandons us. This wipes away our 1:00:13 sins, educating us to always remember 1:00:15 God and be grateful to Him. Ladies, so 1:00:19 in times of trial, never complain. Now, 1:00:24 for you mothers in these golden years, 1:00:26 if you want to pray, actually the 1:00:29 prayer from Surah Al-Ahqaf should never 1:00:31 be left out daily." Rabbi awzi'ni "is a 1:00:35 very beautiful prayer." Rabbana atina 1:00:38 fid-dunya hasanah "should also not be 1:00:40 left out. There are easy prayers, 1:00:42 mother, read the tasbih; it's easy to 1:00:44 recite. Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, La 1:00:48 ilaha illallah, Allah. Is it easy or 1:00:50 not? Then recite shalawat, recite 1:00:53 istighfar. When I walk anywhere, I say, 1:00:56 " Subhanallah, alhamdulillah, 1:00:57 lailahaillallah, Allahu Akbar, 1:00:59 Allahumma sholli ala abdika wa rasulika 1:01:01 Muhammad wa ala alihi wasahbih. "Then" 1:01:04 astagfirullahalazim, "reciting 1:01:06 istighfar often, I feel God grants me 1:01:09 ease. Once, as a lesson for you, 1:01:11 mothers. I. Was performing Hajj. Then 1:01:18 on the last day, I had to leave the 1:01:21 city of Mecca. I stayed in Aziziyah. I 1:01:25 was with two elderly women, one was 1:01:27 perhaps around 80 or nearing 80. Or 1:01:32 maybe 70, 79, 80-ish. The other one was 1:01:35 a bit younger. We arrived in Mecca to 1:01:38 perform Tawaf Ifadah. People were 1:01:42 incredibly packed, pushing each other 1:01:44 in the broad daylight. I said to these 1:01:49 two ladies, who happen to be my 1:01:51 relatives, my mahram. I said," Let's 1:01:54 recite subhanallah, alhamdulillah, 1:01:57 lailahaillallah. "Don't recite any 1:01:59 other prayers. Later, after we sit down 1:02:01 , then we can ask for other things." 1:02:02 Recite that while reciting shalawat. " 1:02:06 You know, we circled the Kaaba as if 1:02:09 there was absolutely no one there. We 1:02:13 circled in the broad daylight once or 1:02:16 twice, and I said to my aunt," Let's 1:02:18 move to the second floor. "" Moved to 1:02:21 the second floor. "Circled with all 1:02:25 sorts of ease. Then finally, back down 1:02:27 again. We feel as if it is our easiest 1:02:32 tawaf by reciting subhanallah, 1:02:33 alhamdulillah, lailahaillallah Allah. 1:02:38 This prayer is taken from the 1:02:40 experience of Sayyidah Fatimah, the 1:02:42 Prophet's daughter, who worked without 1:02:44 a helper, grinding wheat using stones. 1:02:48 She also prepared food for her husband 1:02:50 and family, so although she was a young 1:02:52 woman, her body began to stoop. Her 1:02:56 husband, Sayyidina Ali, couldn't bear 1:02:58 it and came to the Prophet to ask for 1:03:00 help in providing a helper. But the 1:03:03 Prophet's house also had no helper. In 1:03:07 fact, the stove was rarely lit. Finally 1:03:09 , he felt ashamed. He returned to his 1:03:12 house. Upon seeing them, the Prophet 1:03:15 immediately went to his daughter. He 1:03:18 asked," What is the matter that you 1:03:20 came without saying anything? "They 1:03:22 answered," O Messenger of Allah, you 1:03:24 see your daughter is weary, tired of 1:03:26 taking care of the children, and has to 1:03:28 manage various affairs. "" Could you 1:03:30 provide her with a helper? "The Prophet 1:03:33 immediately said to his daughter," 1:03:35 Would you like me to tell you what is 1:03:37 better for you? "" Every time you are 1:03:42 about to sleep, recite subhanallah 33 1:03:44 times, and alhamdulillah. "" Then, 1:03:47 Allahu Akbar. "" It will replace the 1:03:50 helper who assists you. "Allah gives 1:03:54 subhanallah. It can be started with 1:03:57 subhanallah, or started with Allahu 1:03:58 Akbar, Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah. You 1:04:00 may choose between the two. She never 1:04:02 felt tired again by reciting that. This 1:04:05 is a prayer for you, Mother. God 1:04:07 willing, the aches before leaving will 1:04:09 disappear, and feelings of distress 1:04:11 will also fade. But get used to it, 1:04:14 because if the dhikr is too long, you 1:04:16 might forget it later. Isn't that right 1:04:18 ? Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, 1:04:20 lailahaillallah, Allahu Akbar. If you 1:04:21 want to say astaghfirullah first, you 1:04:23 may. After that, say salawat. Then, 1:04:25 Mother, pray rabbana atina fid dunya 1:04:27 hasanah. Recite rabbi awzi'ni an 1:04:29 ashkura ni'mataka. Isn't that right? 1:04:32 This last prayer, Rabbi awzi'ni, is for 1:04:34 you, Mother, for your children, so 1:04:36 their character may be perfectly 1:04:37 improved. As for your question earlier, 1:04:43 we do indeed see many clerics who are 1:04:46 influenced by Saudi Arabia. They do not 1:04:51 provide aid to their brothers in 1:04:53 Palestine, but they attack their 1:04:56 brothers in Yemen. In Yemen, their 1:04:59 brothers are fellow Muslims who do not 1:05:01 disturb them. They were the ones who 1:05:03 started attacking from 2014 until now, 1:05:05 it has been 12 years. Just imagine. 1:05:09 Meanwhile, if we want to help Palestine 1:05:11 , or even if people in Saudi want to 1:05:13 help Palestine, they are immediately 1:05:15 intercepted. That is because of their 1:05:17 sins and mistakes. Just leave them be. 1:05:20 Because they are against Israel. They 1:05:23 even claim that Israel is the ulil amri 1:05:24 (legitimate authority). We are not 1:05:26 allowed to disturb them at all. Now 1:05:29 Egypt, their direct neighbor, the one 1:05:32 bordering Gaza, is Egypt. Instead of 1:05:36 helping their brothers in Palestine. 1:05:38 Now they want to help Saudi Arabia 1:05:40 confront Yemen. So, Mother, you don't 1:05:43 need to be surprised; they are not 1:05:46 working to convey the mandate of Allah. 1:05:49 They ignore their brothers who are 1:05:51 being oppressed. Allah will gather them 1:05:53 together with the Zionist Israelis. 1:05:56 Because if we witness tyranny occurring 1:05:59 , or if someone sees an act of 1:06:00 oppression in the East and they are in 1:06:03 the West but they approve of it, then 1:06:05 Allah will gather them together. So, 1:06:09 these types of ustadz are not actually 1:06:11 speaking from the heart, but speaking 1:06:13 because they are paid. If we here are 1:06:16 unable to help with our own selves or 1:06:18 our wealth, we should pray for them so 1:06:20 that Allah may save them. Our brothers 1:06:23 and sisters are crying, wailing, and 1:06:24 groaning; their children are being 1:06:26 slaughtered, baby girls are not spared, 1:06:28 and they are even being raped. If your 1:06:33 heart is not moved, then you are a 1:06:35 devil. Now, many ustadz who spread this 1:06:39 kind of propaganda are no longer 1:06:41 helping. Instead, they slander their 1:06:45 own brothers and sisters. They fight 1:06:47 them. Just because of the issue of not 1:06:49 doing qunut or doing qunut, there's a 1:06:50 huge commotion. Even though this is an 1:06:53 issue that the Prophet never discussed 1:06:55 at all. Is that right, ladies? Because 1:06:58 of the issue of tahlil, there is a fuss 1:07:00 over reciting lailahaillallah. It's 1:07:02 just that we don't want to burden the 1:07:04 bereaved family. Let us be the ones to 1:07:06 bear it. Like what happened in the time 1:07:08 of the Prophet. The Prophet had a 1:07:11 cousin named Jafar bin Abi Thalib. He 1:07:13 died in the Battle of Mu'tah. When he 1:07:15 died, no one comforted his wife in 1:07:18 Medina. Meanwhile, for those from the 1:07:20 Ansar who died, many came to comfort 1:07:21 them. The Prophet said," Isna'u li ali 1:07:23 Jafarin ta'aman. "" Make some food for 1:07:26 Jafar's family. "Yes. Ansar women 1:07:28 started coming in droves to comfort his 1:07:31 wife. That is what we should be doing. 1:07:33 Don't make them spend money for fidyah, 1:07:36 spend money for what else? For the 1:07:39 tahlil event, for the food. Let us 1:07:41 bring the food. If we can't bring a lot 1:07:44 , just make sure the family has 1:07:45 something to eat. We can eat at home, 1:07:47 can't we? Right? Now, if you want to 1:07:51 eat together, bring the food to their 1:07:52 house. You don't need to do any work. 1:07:55 We are your family. Is that a blessing, 1:07:58 ladies? Does it feel heavy, I wonder? 1:08:00 Tomorrow, we will be the ones in that 1:08:02 situation. When we die, our family 1:08:04 won't be stressed. Having to prepare 1:08:06 all this, cooking as if it's for what? 1:08:09 For a wedding. Now, this is what is not 1:08:13 right. I think that's enough for now. 1:08:16 God willing, we will continue in our 1:08:18 dialogue and meetings in the times to 1:08:20 come, God willing. Amin ya rabbal 1:08:21 alamin. May you all, gentlemen and 1:08:24 ladies, be made into people who are 1:08:26 grateful when facing blessings, patient 1:08:28 when facing trials, have your sins 1:08:30 forgiven, have your status raised, and 1:08:33 be placed in His paradise with our 1:08:35 Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings 1:08:37 be upon him and his family. 1:08:40 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik, ashadu 1:08:42 alla ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa 1:08:45 atubu ilaik.
