- Alhamdulillah rabbil alamin. Tonight we
- can meet again in the study of Ulmul
- Qur'an, an effort to understand the
- holy book of the Qur'an from various
- sides, from various aspects. So of
- course we hope that this simple study
- will be beneficial for us, especially
- in understanding the holy book of the
- Qur'an. Where tonight we will continue
- our study, which is still about the
- Asmaus surah. We are still discussing
- surah al-Fatihah where tonight we will
- study surah al-Fatihah verse 6 which is
- the peak of prayer, namely asking for
- guidance to the straight path.
- Auzubillahiminasyaitanirrajim.
- Ihdinasirathal mustaqim. Guide us to
- the path that is straight and wide.
- This verse is the culmination of prayer
- so that we will all be given guidance
- on the right path. towards the straight
- path that is truly blessed by Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala. Every day we ask
- this prayer to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala
- who specifically reminds us all that
- every day we perform prayers, both the
- obligatory prayers which are five times
- a day and other sunnah prayers. We say
- this verse, we say this prayer.
- Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. Show us, O
- Allah, to the straight path, to the
- right path, O Allah. Let's take a
- lesson from this prayer so that we can
- really live our lives in this temporary
- world, for a moment, truly on the
- straight path that Allah Subhanahu wa
- Taala has blessed us with as advice for
- us. Perhaps this prayer is just our
- word of mouth, just our words, it has
- not yet reached understanding,
- reflection and then application.
- Because in essence, if we really pray
- with this, whether in obligatory
- prayers, sunnah prayers, or outside of
- prayer of course, then our life path
- will be directed towards a straight
- path, towards the right path. We will
- leave behind crooked paths, unrighteous
- paths. This prayer is the culmination
- of guidance to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala
- so that Allah will give guidance to the
- right path. In fact, in some literature
- , this is zidna guidance, that is, we
- always ask Allah Subhanahu wa Taala for
- additional guidance through this prayer
- . Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. O Allah,
- guide us to the right path, to the
- straight path. We also know how
- important it is to reflect on this
- verse so that it can truly serve as a
- lesson for us. Whoever we are, whatever
- our profession, let us begin our lives
- on the right path. In a literature,
- specifically in the book Tafsir Almunir
- by the late Prof. Dr. Wahbah Mustafa
- Zuhaili, he provides an explanation,
- namely dividing guidance into five
- parts. This is certainly very
- interesting for us, food for reflection
- for us. Then we match it to our daily
- lives. The first is hidayatu ilhalmi
- fitri, namely guidance in the form of
- instinct. This is guidance that Allah
- gives specifically to a newborn baby.
- This is hidayatul ilhami fitri. Every
- normal baby born cries. When a baby is
- born crying, then those around the
- helpless baby at that time, carrying
- nothing, around him are happy laughter.
- This is the first guidance Allah gives
- to humans: Hidayatu ilhami fitri. Where
- when crying there are several
- possibilities. It could be hunger, it
- could be thirst, it could also be
- discomfort. So with these instructions,
- the mother understood and then her
- mother breastfed him. Well, the crying
- baby, breastfed by his mother, then
- fell silent. This crying is the first
- instruction that Allah gives to the
- baby, and it is also limited.
- Breastfeeding is only allowed for
- babies up to 2 years old. After that,
- they must be separated. Well, this
- guidance is also very limited, of
- course. So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
- gave the second guidance, namely
- hidayatul hawas. Guidance in the form
- of the five senses. Allah gave us the
- five senses. This is guidance that we
- must truly use, we must make the best
- use of it. Our tongue, our nose,
- including our feet, and other body
- parts including our eyes, our ears are
- extraordinary guidance. Extraordinary
- guidance that Allah has given us. With
- our eyes we can see, with our ears we
- can hear, with our tongues we can speak
- , with our feet we can walk. Well, this
- guidance, of course, let us use our
- eyes to see the greatness of Allah
- subhanahu wa ta'ala. We use our ears to
- listen to advice on the path of Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala. Let's put our feet
- on the right path. for recitation, for
- work, intended for worship of Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala. This is the
- guidance of the five senses that God
- has given us, which is a very great
- gift that of course allows us to be
- free in our activities and in our
- movements. Let's take advantage of this
- hawas guidance too. Hidwas guidance for
- hawas khawas is still limited in its
- ability, still not perfect. So Allah
- sent down the third guidance, namely
- hidayatul aqli. Reasonable guidance.
- Allah gives reason to us all. Muslims,
- non-Muslims, Allah loves everyone. In
- fact, with this reason, if we are good
- at using it, we make use of it properly
- , then we will find truths with the
- guidance of this reason. Whoever we are
- , surely when we use this reason truly,
- non-Muslims will flock to Islam. Also,
- for those of us who are Muslims, and
- are descendants of Islam, by
- understanding this guidance of reason,
- we will strive to explore Islamic
- teachings earnestly, consistently,
- especially those contained in the holy
- book of the Qur'an, logically and
- rationally. If we want to think humanly
- , Islamic teachings are truly perfect.
- Every day we hear the call to prayer,
- which is guidance if we use our reason
- optimally. Then we try to compare, oh,
- this teaching is like this, this is
- like this. It turns out that in Islam
- there is the call to prayer, there is
- the iqamah, there is prayer. Prayer is
- also performed in congregation at the
- mosque, for example. Then we will find
- Islamic teachings when we use our
- common sense. And we also realize that
- by giving us reason, we can also enjoy
- conveniences in our worldly lives. Ease
- in reaching our goals with the reason
- that God has given us. Humans can
- invent airplanes. When we perform the
- Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage, very long
- distances are covered by large aircraft
- . With their sophisticated equipment,
- the journey only takes 9 hours, for
- example. This is one aspect of the
- superiority of reason that Allah has
- given to humans. But on the other hand,
- with this advancement of reason, it is
- sometimes misused with technological
- tools, with war equipment. Used
- incorrectly, many victims are killed by
- these tools of war. Let us use our
- common sense, especially as Muslims, so
- that we can use it optimally. For what?
- To improve ourselves. To harm ourselves
- . To what extent do we understand the
- teachings of Islam as contained in the
- holy book of the Qur'an and the hadith
- of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
- him). Let us use reason. However, our
- sophisticated reason, even in a
- literary work, contains elements of 20
- billion computers. How sophisticated is
- what Allah has given us? Again, reason
- is likened to a life jacket. This life
- jacket is only useful, only useful in a
- swimming pool for someone just learning
- to swim. But this life jacket is
- meaningless in the midst of the ocean's
- enormous, powerful, and overwhelming
- waves. So Allah also gave the fourth
- guidance: hidayatud din, religious
- guidance, namely Islam. Hidayatun din
- also if we don't use it well, then of
- course it won't be useful for us. One
- of Hidayatuddin's simple examples is
- our Islam. The holy book is the Koran.
- This is hidayatud din, religious
- guidance. However, if we don't want to
- use the holy Qur'an which is neatly
- stored in our homes, then Hidayatuddin
- will not be useful for us. Let's take
- advantage of the presence of our Islam,
- the presence of the holy book Al-Qur'an
- so that it truly becomes a religious
- guide for us. To improve the quality of
- our knowledge, to increase our
- monotheism, we study the holy book
- Al-Qur'an. So we certainly need the
- fifth guidance in this book of
- interpretation, namely hidayatul maunah
- wat taufik. Guidance takes the form of
- help from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and
- guidance for our harmony, our matching,
- our seeing of our happiness in our
- lives. align ourselves with the
- instructions that Allah has given
- through the holy book Al-Qur'an. This
- is the guidance that Allah gives us.
- There is no excuse, "Oh, I haven't
- received guidance so I'm still lazy
- about studying the Qur'an. Oh, I
- haven't received guidance so I still
- don't want to perform the Hajj Umrah
- and so on. That's wrong. Why? Allah has
- given guidance to all of us. But
- sometimes we don't use it well.
- Therefore, through tonight's study we
- ask Allah for guidance with the prayer
- ihdinasiratal mustaqim, zidna guidance.
- We ask Allah for guidance, additional
- guidance. Subhanahu wa taala so that
- every day, every moment we are always
- given directions by Allah Subhanahu wa
- taala towards the path that Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala himself even
- explains in the word of Allah Subhanahu
- wa taala in surah Al-Maidah surah 5
- verse 16 Allah says,
- Auzubillahiminasyaitanirrajim. Mantabaa
- ridwanahu subulasalam waukhrijuhum
- minadzulumati ilanuri biidnih waahdihim
- ila mustaqim, which means:" With this
- book, with this holy book of the Qur'an
- , Allah gives guidance to the path that
- He is pleased with, towards the path of
- salvation, and with this holy book of
- the Qur'an, Allah brings us all out of
- darkness, layered darkness, into bright
- , bright light with Allah's permission.
- "And Allah with this holy book of the
- Qur'an gives guidance to all of us to
- the straight path. In this verse it is
- very clear that this holy book of the
- Qur'an is guidance, is a guide.
- including in the interpretation of Ibn
- Jarir Attabari provides information
- that what is called ihdinasiratal
- mustaqim the straight path is Al-Islam
- also includes the book of Allah, the
- holy book of the Qur'an. This is a
- guide to the straight path. And so
- interesting, so taub, so very unique,
- very beautiful the holy book of the
- Qur'an by using waukhrijuhum
- minadzulumati ilan nur. And he Allah
- Subhanahu wa taala brings them out,
- brings us out of the darkness to me who
- is bright. In the meaning of the words*
- zulumat*, these darknesses with the
- plural form show that how many ways are
- astray, how many ways of darkness,
- including the darkness in the wrath of
- Allah, the darkness in error, including
- entering the darkness in the torment of
- hellfire. So without the book We cannot
- escape from these darknesses in the
- holy Qur'an. Therefore, it is crucial
- for us to return to the Holy Qur'an.
- Let's study its guidance as an
- illustration. When we are going to
- travel to a place, for example, we are
- going to Surabaya, and we live in
- Jakarta, for example, we automatically
- have to prepare everything, including
- directions to Surabaya, the address,
- the telephone number, where we are
- going; then we prepare the things we
- will bring, including our finances.
- When we want to go to Surabaya, do we
- want to take a plane, a train, a ship,
- a bus, or another vehicle? This is an
- illustration. heading to Surabaya. So
- with the preparations we have made, we
- will certainly arrive at our
- destination, Surabaya. Why? Because the
- address is complete, the directions are
- very clear, and the provisions are also
- sufficient. This is an illustration.
- When our goal in life is to seek
- Allah's pleasure, towards Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, including towards
- Paradise, then we also need clear
- guidance. This guidance is This holy
- book, the Qur'an, so that we can be
- safe in moving through this temporary,
- short life, towards the long, eternal
- life of the afterlife. So we prepare
- our provisions, our worship, our
- knowledge, especially in understanding
- the holy book Al-Qur'an which we ask
- for. Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. O Allah,
- guide us to the straight, true path.
- This is a form of prayer and of course
- very global. we need to study the
- details, the detailed instructions that
- we need to explore in the holy book of
- the Koran. Well, one of the
- instructions, apart from Surah
- Al-Maidah verse 16, is of course many
- in the holy book of the Koran. First,
- let's meditate on the words of Allah
- Subhanahu wa Taala in Surah at-Taubah
- verse 100. In this verse, it is
- explained that
- auzubillahiminasyaitanirrajim
- wasabiquunal Awaluna minal muhajirin
- wal ansari walladina tabbaum biihsan
- radhiallahu anhum waraduan. Father.
- This verse gives us guidance, gives us
- information so that we can gain the
- pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa taala.
- The first is wasabiquunal Awaluna Minal
- Muhajirin. And the previous people who
- first converted to Islam were from the
- Muhajirin and Ansar groups. And those
- who follow their footsteps well, Allah
- is pleased with them and they are also
- pleased with Allah subhanahu wa taala.
- Aadallahum jannatin tajri throne
- kholidina fi fhaada walikalulim. Allah
- has provided them with flowing paradise
- , beautiful rivers, they will remain in
- paradise forever. That is a very big
- luck. In the context of this verse, it
- certainly gives us all an idea of
- seeking the pleasure of Allah subhanahu
- wa taala. First, we also have to study
- history, especially the history of the
- Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
- wasallam as well as his good friends
- from the Muhajirin and Ansar groups.
- also previous people who followed in
- their footsteps. This is matching
- ourselves through the instructions that
- Allah gives through the holy books
- Al-Qur'an. Also in a very beautiful
- prayer. Prophet Muhammad sallallahu
- alaihi wasallam taught us, gave us
- education with prayer," Allahumma inni
- as'alukal huda wat tuqo wal affa
- walinah. "O Allah, truly I ask You, O
- Allah, that You give us guidance.
- Guidance towards the straight path.
- Guidance towards the right path that
- You are pleased with, O Allah. Also
- give us, O Allah, watuqo piety. True
- piety is trying to carry out all Your
- commands, O Allah. And trying, O Allah,
- to make it easy to stay away from
- everything that You have forbidden, O
- Allah. Also wal affah. O Allah, give
- Allah physical and mental health, O
- Allah, also walgina Sufficiency, O
- Allah. How beautiful is this prayer,
- which of course we ask Allah Subhanahu
- wa Taala, especially after the five
- daily prayers so that we are
- continuously given guidance by Allah
- Subhanahu wa Taala those whom You have
- guided. Such a beautiful book The holy
- Qur'an is also the hadith of the
- Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
- wasallam. Let's think about it so that
- in addition to saying this prayer in
- prayer, outside of prayer we also ask
- Allah Subhanahu wa Taala with this
- prayer. Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. O Allah
- , guide us to the path. Then we explore
- these instructions which are scattered
- in the holy book Al-Qur'an which are
- scattered in various surahs, verses
- which are part of our lives. Another
- example of the Al-Qur'an as guidance,
- the Al-Qur'an as a guide for us in
- taking this short life to eternal,
- eternal life. That is the word of Allah
- Subhanahu wa Taala in surah Ali Imran
- verses 15, 16, 17. an offer for all of
- us. Allah says,
- azubillahiminasyaitanirrajim. Qul
- aunabiukum bikhair minzalikum
- lilladzinaqbihim Jannatun tajri minhtal
- anru kholidina fiha kholidina fiha wa
- azwaj mutahar waridwanum minallah
- wallahu basirun bil ibad. Say Muhammad
- to all mankind especially to those who
- fear Allah will give something better
- than human love for the opposite sex
- than the love of a person for another
- person than the love of a parent for
- their child. Love for possessions, love
- for positions, Allah offers that there
- is something better than that, which is
- provided for those who fear Allah. The
- first is Jannatun tajri bintil anharu
- kholidina fiha, namely heaven flowing
- beneath which rivers. How beautiful
- heaven is. It cannot be described. At
- least to understand the beauty
- including our people every holiday even
- though it is difficult with traffic
- jams here and there our people always
- go to the peak. For what? To see the
- beauty of the peak. the comfort of the
- air even though there are traffic jams,
- even with the cover open our vehicle to
- go there let alone the beauty of heaven
- that we cannot imagine and abide in it
- forever. Then wa azwajum mutaharah. In
- Paradise, Allah provides purified
- couples. Of course, we are less happy
- when we enter Paradise alone. So Allah
- also provides partners. Waridwanum
- minallah. And Allah gives pleasure.
- Well, this is one form of example of
- guidance that we will explore so that
- we can get the rewards that Allah will
- give to us, to these pious people.
- Three special rewards, three special
- rewards. Wallahu basir bil ibad. And
- Allah is all-seeing of what His
- servants do, what we all do. Then the
- next verse provides guidance, provides
- details, namely the people who will
- receive these three gifts of Allah. The
- first is alladzina yaquuluna rabbana
- innana amanna fagfirlana dzunubana
- waqina adzabanar. namely people who
- always pray to Allah Subhanahu wa taala
- with this prayer in surah Ali Imran
- verse 16. Rabbana innana amanna
- fagfirlana dunuban waqinazabanar. O our
- Rabb, we have believed in You, O Allah,
- but our faith, O Allah, always
- fluctuates. Fagfirlana dunubana. And
- forgive us, O Allah, our sins, our
- mistakes, O Allah. We have tried our
- best to worship You, but there are
- still many mistakes, many mistakes. O
- Allah, forgive our sins O Allah.
- Forgive our mistakes, O Allah.
- Waqinazabanar. And keep away, O Allah,
- and protect us, O Allah, from the
- torment of hellfire. This prayer is a
- guide from Allah Subhanahu wa Taala
- through the holy book Al-Qur'an so that
- we can achieve Allah Subhanahu wa
- Taala's gift. Let's start this prayer
- to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala. Whether
- after the five daily prayers, whether
- at other times we pray this prayer,
- Rabbana innana amanna fagfirlanaubana
- waqinazabanar. Also of course we need
- to understand, we also need to reflect
- that a prayer is not enough just to say
- it verbally, but we understand it, we
- Reflect. Then, we align our
- personalities with the contents of this
- prayer. One way is to stabilize our
- faith, strengthen it, and solidify it.
- Like it or not, to strengthen our faith
- in Allah and stabilize it, there must
- be harmony and compatibility between
- the acts of worship we perform, the
- insights we understand, and our
- behavior and our daily actions.
- Therefore, one way to strengthen our
- faith in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is
- to strengthen our faith in Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. In Islamic
- teachings, we learn from the Qur'an and
- the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (
- peace and blessings be upon him). Why?
- Fagfirlana dunubana. O Allah, forgive
- our sins. We understand this as a
- reminder for us. So that we can
- evaluate our daily actions and correct
- ourselves. Then, by asking Allah for
- forgiveness more often, by asking Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala for forgiveness
- more often. Let us reflect on this.
- When we lie down to rest, we should ask
- Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala more often.
- And when we pray, we should ask Him to
- keep us away from evil. Rather than the
- torment of hellfire, we strive,
- especially to ensure that our actions
- are considered good deeds, based on the
- principle of" kulu mima fil ardi
- halalan thyibah. "Hopefully, this brief
- explanation will be beneficial,
- especially for me personally and for OC
- TV listeners and viewers in general, so
- that we can understand it well.
- Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. We understand
- that in our lives, we should practice
- towards the path that pleases Allah
- subhanahu wa ta'ala. Thank you. Peace
- be upon you, warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
- . Berasil TV for the one Islam.
