We 3:08 already started reading it, we are 3:10 still in the introduction, right, Habib 3:12 ? Yes, this introduction chapter is 3:16 still focused on rectifying our 3:19 intentions in seeking knowledge, 3:21 brothers and sisters. For those who 3:25 want the book, I can send the PDF later 3:28 . The PDF of the book Bidayatul Hidayah 3:30 , so you can follow along with the 3:32 Arabic text. Without further 3:41 ado, brothers and sisters, let us 3:44 listen to the explanation presented by 3:47 Habib Ahmad Mustaba bin Syahab 3:49 regarding rectifying intentions in 3:52 seeking knowledge, summarized from the 3:55 introduction of Bidayatul Hidayah. 3:59 Please, Habib. 4:00 In the name of Allah. In the name of 4:02 Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 4:03 Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of 4:04 the Worlds, and by Him we seek help in 4:06 matters of this world and the hereafter 4:07 , and may peace and blessings be upon 4:08 the master of the messengers, our 4:10 master Muhammad, and upon all his 4:11 family and companions. Glory be to You, 4:14 we have no knowledge except what You 4:15 have taught us; surely You are the 4:16 All-Knowing, the Wise, and accept our 4:17 repentance, for You are the Accepter of 4:19 Repentance, the Merciful. O Allah, O 4:21 Opener, O All-Knowing, O Opener, O 4:22 All-Knowing, O Opener, O All-Knowing, 4:24 grant us a swift opening, O Most 4:26 Merciful of the merciful. O Allah, 4:28 there is no ease except what You make 4:30 easy, and You make the difficult easy 4:32 if You wish. O Allah, we ask You for 4:37 beneficial knowledge. That which brings 4:47 fear and humility. And a soul that is 4:50 not satisfied, and a prayer that is not 4:52 answered, by Your mercy, O Most 4:54 Merciful of the merciful, O Most 4:56 Merciful of the merciful, O Most 4:57 Merciful of the merciful. And guidance. 5:13 And well-being. Alhamdulillah. We 5:25 always offer our praise and gratitude 5:26 to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala for His 5:28 abundant blessings, and thank God we 5:30 can be together again in our weekly 5:32 study. And here we are reading the book 5:36 Bidayatul Hidayah by Al Imam Abi Hamid 5:39 Muhammad bin Muhammad Al-Ghazali 5:41 rahimahullahu ta'ala. We are still in 5:43 the discussion of the intention in 5:45 seeking knowledge. The intention that 5:48 we ought to set. Yes, when we begin our 5:52 journey in seeking knowledge. Where he 5:56 starts this journey with attakhliah 6:00 first. Purifying the heart from vile 6:03 intentions. Then after that, starting 6:08 to adorn our hearts with praiseworthy 6:11 intentions. The core of the intention 6:14 for seeking knowledge is al-hidayah. 6:17 Obtaining guidance, the path. Ah, to be 6:19 able to draw closer to Allah Subhanahu 6:21 wa ta'ala. Right, as they say. So, we 6:23 make our knowledge a means to draw 6:25 closer to Allah. A means to attain 6:29 eternal prosperity in paradise. A means 6:34 to be close to the Prophet Muhammad 6:35 sallallahu alaihi wasallam. 6:38 To be able to follow the Prophet more 6:40 closely, to be able to please his heart 6:43 . Right. And that is the knowledge that 6:47 we ought to seek. For those noble 6:51 intentions. Now, furthermore, Imam 6:54 Ghazali in the previous meeting 6:57 discussed that guidance, which is the 6:59 peak of good intentions, has an outward 7:02 and an inward aspect. And also, the 7:06 beginning and the end; to enter the end 7:10 of guidance or the inward aspect of 7:13 guidance, it is impossible unless we 7:17 pass through the beginning or the 7:21 outward aspect of guidance. As he said, 7:25 "Waha ana musirun alaika bibidayatil 7:28 hidayah." Here, I am signaling to you 7:30 the beginning of guidance. That is why 7:33 this book is called Bidayatul Hidayah. 7:37 For what? To test our intention of 7:43 whether it is sincere in seeking this 7:46 knowledge, try, says Imam Ghazali, to 7:49 expose your heart, your self, to what 7:52 is inside this book, Bidayatul Hidayah. 7:56 He says here, in the first part on this 8:00 page, "Fain intabaka ilaiha mailan 8:04 wafsaka biha mutawiah wa qabilah 8:07 fadunaka...""...biharil ulum wal 8:13 mukasyafat." He says, "If you find your 8:17 heart inclined toward what is written 8:21 in this book, yes, you encounter 8:24 matters that your heart is happy to 8:28 practice, inclined.""And your lower 8:33 self obeys what is recommended in this 8:38 book.""And accepts it as well." Then 8:44 that is a sign that your intention is a 8:46 correct intention in seeking knowledge. 8:48 Then "fadunaka," you are invited. In 8:51 grammar, "dunaka" is an isim fi'il ( 8:54 verbal noun), brothers. 8:56 Meaning "fadunaka" can be translated as 8:59 "take it" or "enter." And pursue. 9:03 Toward the end. Please dive deeper 9:07 until you reach the goal of the journey 9:11 . And please explore the oceans of 9:17 knowledge to their very depths. Please, 9:21 delve even deeper. Wal mukasyafat, 9:24 please go deeper into the science of 9:27 unveiling, the science of knowing God. 9:30 And the truth of the inner sciences. 9:32 Please do. When are we allowed to do so 9:34 ? When we find that our intentions are 9:37 good, evidenced by our readiness to 9:41 practice what Imam Ghazali suggests in 9:44 this book. Now, this becomes a 9:46 benchmark, brothers. You can tell 9:48 whether your intention is good or bad 9:50 by how your heart feels when you read 9:53 this book, Bidayatul Hidayah. Wow, 9:55 extraordinary. So this book is the 9:58 determinant. It acts as a scale, using 10:00 the Bidayatul Hidayah book. Is your 10:02 intention true or not? Why? Why, indeed 10:04 ? Because the meaning behind what Imam 10:09 Ghazali has written here is very, very 10:13 sharp and pinches the soul, brothers. 10:18 If someone has an incorrect intention, 10:21 they will surely be offended and feel 10:24 burdened by what Imam Ghazali discusses 10:27 . Yes, that is proof that their 10:30 intention is not pure. But if their 10:32 intention is true and they want to 10:33 improve themselves, they will actually 10:36 be pleased with what Imam Ghazali 10:37 presents. Yes. 10:38 Which reveals their flaws and 10:41 shortcomings to them. That is why some 10:44 of the gnostics say that the sign of an 10:46 afterlife scholar is that they love 10:49 Imam Ghazali's books. Yes. 10:52 And the sign of a worldly scholar is 10:53 that they do not like Imam Ghazali's 10:55 books. That is effective, Habib. Indeed 10:57 . Absolutely true. Yeah. Because Imam 11:01 Ghazali's books truly uncover, what 11:03 shall we call it? The deepest parts of 11:07 our hearts that we perhaps refuse to 11:09 admit still contain many faults and 11:12 shortcomings. Imam Ghazali truly lays 11:15 them open. These are your shortcomings. 11:16 Admit it, come on, admit it. MashaAllah 11:20 . For example, the issue of sincerity. 11:26 For example, the issue of sincerity and 11:28 the opposite of sincerity, which is 11:30 showing off; if we basically define 11:32 sincerity as genuine and showing off as 11:34 parading. But Imam Ghazali discusses it 11:37 thoroughly, brothers, in Ihya Ulumuddin 11:39 ; for example, many of us think we are 11:41 sincere, but we are still very far from 11:44 true sincerity. What is the proof? Well 11:47 , the proof is sometimes even though we 11:50 have deeds that we intend purely for 11:53 God, when people mention our deeds, we 11:57 feel happy. Now, that is a sign that we 11:59 are not sincere in those deeds. The 12:01 proof is that you are happy when 12:02 mentioned by others. 12:04 Or when your name is not mentioned, you 12:08 feel uncomfortable. That is the same 12:11 thing, it means you are not sincere. Or 12:13 when people talk about someone else 12:15 doing the same deed as yours and praise 12:17 them highly, and in your heart, you 12:19 think, "I did that too." Well, that is 12:21 the same thing. These are the signs 12:23 that indicate you do not have perfect 12:26 sincerity. Even though we previously 12:28 thought, "Wow, we are already sincere 12:30 for God's sake, no showing off at all, 12:31 no motives involving humans." But many 12:34 brothers, what do you call it? There 12:36 are still many hidden matters, hidden 12:38 ripples in our hearts. Matters of 12:40 conceit as well, which will all be 12:42 discussed by Imam Ghazali. And also 12:45 before that, before the issues of the 12:46 heart, he will discuss here the issues 12:48 of outward knowledge. How is our 12:51 knowledge of wudu? How about our 12:53 prayers, our congregational prayers, 12:55 our Friday prayers? Sufism also has its 12:59 own jurisprudence, brothers. Now, this 13:02 will discuss some of the outward laws, 13:04 but the author focuses more on the 13:06 aspect of adab. Hm. 13:08 Yes, if people who like the knowledge 13:11 of mukashafat say, "How does this work, 13:13 Imam Ghazali? You said you wanted to 13:16 give us knowledge of mukashafat, but 13:18 why are we told to fix our wudu, our 13:20 prayers, our congregational prayers, 13:23 our Friday prayers? Aren't they saying 13:26 that the saints don't even pray Friday 13:27 prayers anymore? Why? Because they see 13:29 everyone like animals." Well, 13:32 that is not the case. 13:34 They pray Friday prayers directly in 13:35 Mecca. 13:36 Now, there are some like that. 13:38 Subhanallah. This is all fake, 13:41 especially in these end times, Beb. Yes 13:43 . Do not compare yourself to those who 13:47 lived in the past, like so-and-so, or 13:49 such-and-such Imam or Habib. Yes, in 13:53 any case. Look first at how you 13:55 practice the outward knowledge of the 13:58 Sharia. Because the outward Sharia is 14:01 the main benchmark for the inward 14:04 matters of the Sharia itself. It is 14:08 impossible for someone to have obtained 14:10 inward knowledge or high-level matters 14:13 while their outward knowledge is still 14:15 unfinished. Ah, it is still not in 14:18 order, believe me, brothers. Imam 14:21 Sha'rani said, "If you see someone who 14:24 claims to be a saint, masyaallah, he 14:27 can fly, he can see what is in your 14:29 heart, he can perform kashf on you, 14:31 then do not believe him until you weigh 14:34 his behavior against the outward Sharia 14:37 ." How is it, is his prayer on time or 14:40 not? How about his sunnah prayers? Are 14:42 they perfect or not? If the outward 14:44 Sharia is already perfect, then please, 14:46 make him your teacher, make him a role 14:49 model, and so on. Now, [an author's 14:56 note about sainthood]. Now, but if when 15:00 you read a book like this, you find 15:03 that your heart, when you demand it to 15:06 be accountable, when you demand it to 15:09 practice, your heart still has a 15:11 feeling of procrastination. "Ah, maybe 15:14 later, maybe next time," like that. And 15:17 [an instruction] to practice it. And to 15:20 practice what is demanded by this book, 15:23 you are still stalling, saying "later, 15:26 later, later." Now, if that's the case, 15:30 then know this, this is extraordinary. 15:38 Know that your desire which leans 15:41 towards seeking knowledge, even though 15:44 outwardly, masyaallah, it is seeking 15:47 knowledge. But wait a minute, says Imam 15:49 Ghazali, stop, stop, stop first. He 15:50 said, "This desire of yours is purely 15:52 from the desires of your carnal soul." 15:55 He said, "It is not a desire for the 15:57 sake of Allah Taala.""This is your 15:58 carnal soul that wants to seek 15:59 knowledge." Nafsul amarah bi bisu win 16:03 mutiatanyain. And surely, the 16:07 commanding soul is, in its current 16:09 state of seeking knowledge, what is it 16:12 actually doing? It is in a state of 16:16 wakefulness. In a state of obedience; 16:20 obeying whom? Allah, not obeying the 16:24 accursed Satan. How can it be 16:27 liudallaka bihabli gururi? So that 16:30 Satan may draw you out, pulling you 16:33 with the rope of his deception. He will 16:40 then plunge you through his deceptions 16:43 into the abyss of destruction. Like 16:46 that. And that is the goal of Satan in 16:54 deceiving you. Making an evil thing 16:57 appear as something good. We think it's 17:01 something good. We take it, only to 17:03 find out, oh, it turns out to be bad. 17:04 We might think it is seeking knowledge, 17:06 we think it is studying. Even if it is 17:09 religious knowledge, it turns out to be 17:11 full of Satan's deception. Hatta yulaka 17:14 bilala. So that Satan wants to group 17:17 you with those who are losers. Those 17:20 who lose in their deeds. Who are they? 17:28 Now, this is dangerous, brothers. O 17:29 Allah, may Allah Taala keep us away 17:30 from traits like these. They are those 17:33 who have gone astray, whose deeds are 17:35 lost in this world, in their lives in 17:37 this world. And they think that they 17:40 have done good. Yahsabun. They think 17:43 that they are doing good in their 17:45 behavior, but in reality, they are lost 17:48 . Nauzubillah minzalik. Now, this is 17:51 dangerous, brothers. Okay. What does 17:53 that mean? Why does Imam Ghazali sound 17:56 so intense, saying your carnal soul is 18:00 currently standing in obedience to 18:02 Satan? What is the story of Satan here? 18:06 So it’s like this, brothers, may the 18:07 blessings of Allah be upon Prophet 18:09 Muhammad. Masyaallah, Bib. Okay. When 18:15 someone has a good intention to seek 18:17 knowledge, attending a gathering or 18:20 wanting to study book A or book B, 18:22 seeking any kind of knowledge, they are 18:25 enthusiastic about it. Oh, they are 18:29 even tempted. Seeking knowledge, 18:31 masyaallah, the rank of a scholar is 18:33 like the rank of a martyr. Seeking 18:35 knowledge is extraordinary. Every step 18:37 taken by a knowledge seeker is a reward 18:39 . And even all the animals pray for 18:42 forgiveness for them. This is 18:44 masyaallah, the virtues of a person 18:46 seeking knowledge are vast and 18:47 extensive. But wait a minute, are you 18:49 really seeking knowledge for the sake 18:51 of Allah, or are you seeking knowledge 18:53 only for worldly affairs? Now, that's 18:56 it. If, when you read a book like this, 19:00 and the intentions hidden deep in your 19:03 heart for worldly matters are revealed, 19:06 you might feel offended. Why is Imam 19:09 Ghazali like this? Why does he keep 19:12 blaming us, for example? Or why is he 19:15 telling us to perform ablution 19:16 correctly, to pray correctly, for 19:18 example? Well, these are common things 19:20 we have all been doing; we must have 19:22 mastered that. Try another topic. Now, 19:24 if you feel that way, then be careful. 19:26 This is a sign that your intention for 19:27 seeking knowledge is not for Allah 19:29 Ta'ala. Hmm. There must be a hidden 19:31 intention in your heart for worldly 19:33 matters. That is proven when you are 19:36 told to improve your outward conduct, 19:39 and you actually refuse. That is proven 19:42 when you are shown the shortcomings of 19:45 your heart, and you feel offended. Well 19:47 , this is proof that your intention in 19:49 seeking knowledge is not sincere. 19:51 Whereas the noble target in seeking 19:53 knowledge is to attain guidance. And 19:56 this, in fact, is guidance. When you 19:58 are shown your flaws, when you are 20:01 guided to perform ablution and prayer 20:03 correctly. This is the first path to 20:05 guidance. When you refuse, it means 20:08 your path is not for guidance, but for 20:10 something else. Well, there it is. We 20:11 seek refuge in Allah. It turns out 20:13 you’re going the wrong way. 20:15 If a person’s true target is guidance 20:16 , then this is indeed the path. When he 20:18 feels offended and thinks this isn't 20:20 the way, it means he’s not on the 20:21 path of guidance. He doesn’t even 20:23 know where he’s headed. We seek 20:24 refuge in Allah. Well, that's the story 20:25 , Habib. When that person is, what do 20:28 you call it? His passion for seeking 20:30 knowledge is overflowing. Yes. And he 20:33 feels averse to reading books by Imam 20:36 Ghazali like this one. That is truly 20:39 encouraged by the devil. That’s why " 20:43 wa dhalika yatlu 'alaika fadl al-' ilm 20:46 wa darajat al- 'ulama." Ah, at that 20:48 moment, the devil will recite to you 20:51 the virtues of knowledge and the high 20:53 ranks of the scholars. "Wa ma warada 20:56 fihi min al-akhbar wa..." And what has 20:58 been narrated there from the traditions 21:00 , from the athar, or from the hadith of 21:02 ...Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. But 21:07 there is one hadith that the devil 21:09 tries to hide from you. What is that 21:13 hadith? The Prophet (peace be upon him) 21:15 said: "Man izdada' ilman walam yazdad 21:17 hudan lam yazdad minallahi illa bu'dan. 21:20 " The first hadith, the Prophet said: " 21:23 Whoever increases in knowledge but does 21:26 not increase in guidance, does not 21:29 increase in closeness to Allah, then 21:32 that knowledge will not increase him 21:35 except in distance from Allah Ta'ala." 21:39 The more knowledge he has, the further 21:40 he is from Allah Ta'ala. That’s why 21:42 the devil encourages him, "Come on, 21:43 study more so you can get further away 21:45 from Allah Ta'ala." Well, that is 21:47 because his knowledge does not produce 21:49 guidance. That is the benchmark, 21:52 brothers, every piece of knowledge that 21:55 does not produce guidance, then be wary 21:57 of that knowledge. Be careful, that's 21:59 how it is. 22:00 Including worldly knowledge, Habib? 22:03 Not all of it, Habib. We cannot judge 22:05 that knowledge which does not produce 22:07 guidance is the same as worldly 22:08 knowledge. Not general knowledge either 22:10 . It’s not. 22:11 I mean, including worldly knowledge 22:13 that we study when it doesn't result in 22:16 guidance. Will it create distance 22:18 between us and Allah? Indeed. That’s 22:21 why, Habib, it can’t be like this, 22:23 for example. Let’s use an example of 22:26 Sharia knowledge. When a person learns 22:29 Islamic jurisprudence, for instance, or 22:31 exegesis, or hadith, or whatever Sharia 22:33 knowledge, which should ideally bring 22:35 him closer to Allah, right, it should. 22:37 But instead, he is actually heedless of 22:39 Allah through this knowledge. Is that 22:41 possible? It is very possible. And that 22:44 happens often. Studying, studying, 22:46 studying. Eventually, what happens in 22:49 the end? They neglect their dawn 22:50 prayers, for example. 22:52 Engrossed in nightly religious debates, 22:54 they miss the dawn prayer. Or, in 22:58 arguments over the meaning of a Hadith, 23:02 or during legal discussions, they start 23:06 insulting each other. See, this is 23:10 knowledge that actually distances you 23:12 from Allah, even though it's religious 23:14 knowledge. 23:16 At the same time, if someone studies 23:19 medicine, engineering, or whatever else 23:21 ...biology, 23:24 physics, quantum science, or whatever, 23:26 they can make that knowledge a means to 23:29 get closer to Allah. It’s very 23:32 possible. With that, they contemplate 23:36 how vast this universe is. Yes. 23:39 How extraordinary Allah's creation is. 23:41 Their devotion increases even more. 23:43 Well, exactly. So that makes their 23:45 prayers more solemn, more reverent. 23:48 This is the true knowledge of guidance. 23:50 We can't just judge that religious 23:51 knowledge is the only knowledge that 23:53 brings you closer to Allah, and worldly 23:55 knowledge...that worldly knowledge 23:56 distances you from Allah. No, no, it's 23:58 not like that. 24:00 Indeed. 24:02 Because back then, when I studied 24:04 economics, in social sciences...When 24:07 studying economics, I thought this was 24:10 knowledge of worldly attachment. 24:15 Knowledge that makes us love the world, 24:16 how does that work? 24:18 Beautiful. Beautiful. That can be 24:21 managed, Habib. Easy, how? We study 24:24 economics, business, or whatever else, 24:26 for what purpose? "O Allah, this seems 24:29 to be teaching us to love the world too 24:31 much." 24:31 True. 24:32 Not really, because through this 24:34 knowledge, we can make the world a 24:37 provision for the hereafter. 24:39 Oh. 24:39 I see. That's it. Why do I want to 24:41 master this business knowledge? To 24:43 become a successful businessman, so 24:46 that what? That's the point right there 24:48 . So that what, exactly? To get rich. 24:50 Ah, that's truly worldly. 24:52 Driven by worldly wealth. So he can 24:54 live extravagantly in this world. Ah, 24:56 that is truly worldly knowledge. 24:58 But if he intends, for example... "Let 25:01 my business be righteous so I can help 25:04 scholars, help the religion," for 25:07 example. "So I can also distribute this 25:11 knowledge to Muslims in need.""So that 25:13 the Muslim economy can advance." Now, 25:15 this is knowledge of the hereafter. 25:17 Yes. 25:17 Ah, 25:19 mashaAllah. 25:20 It’s the same with someone who 25:21 studies jurisprudence, for example. 25:23 Studying Hadith. Why study 25:24 jurisprudence? Why study Hadith, for 25:26 example? Why study Hadith? Oh, I see. 25:28 To be able to give lectures. And then, 25:29 why? Because lectures pay well. 25:31 That means it's worldly knowledge. 25:33 Yes. 25:33 Even though it's Hadith being studied. 25:35 Yes. Yes. 25:36 Something like that. I see your point. 25:38 It’s visible. 25:39 MashaAllah. Even knowledge that is 25:42 superficially religious can 25:45 become a barrier between us and Allah 25:47 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. The goal is not 25:49 the afterlife. Yes. 25:51 That is very true. 25:51 That is why Habib, you are 25:53 extraordinary. Perhaps we often hear 25:57 that sentence. We might consider it a 26:00 simple sentence, but it is actually 26:02 very deep, and the main target is 26:03 indeed guidance. That guidance, that 26:06 direction. That sentence is truly the 26:09 benchmark. 26:11 Is this knowledge for the afterlife or 26:14 the world, and are your actions 26:16 directed toward the afterlife or the 26:19 world? Now, about your preaching, 26:23 traveling everywhere, to this end or 26:25 that, to Papua, to Aceh, for example, 26:28 from Sabang to Merauke... 26:32 or is it just for the sake of traveling 26:34 to preach lillahi ta'ala? Wait a minute 26:36 . Is that true preaching, or is it just 26:38 traveling? 26:40 The point here is guidance. Is there 26:42 guidance in it? Now, that's it. If 26:45 there is guidance in it, then that is 26:47 the right path. Even if it's called a 26:49 tour. But if there is no guidance in it 26:52 , then it is worldly. Even if it is 26:55 labeled as for the afterlife. 26:57 The afterlife. 26:57 It's about guidance here. What do you 26:59 mean? Like this, Bib. It is 27:03 extraordinary. Extraordinary. Let us 27:06 ask Sayidil Habib first. Sometimes, a 27:09 person's preaching is, MashaAllah, wide 27:12 in scope and wide in influence. Some 27:14 preaching influences not just one 27:17 district, sub-district, or city, but an 27:19 entire country. As a result of their 27:22 preaching, many people in a whole 27:23 country receive guidance. Even beyond 27:26 that, outside their country, many 27:28 receive guidance through them, for 27:30 example. Does that mean they are a 27:32 successful preacher, a successful da'i? 27:34 Not necessarily. Not necessarily either 27:36 , right? 27:36 Heh. 27:37 Well. Then how? It's not about the 27:40 scope, no. Oh, they have many followers 27:42 . Oh, look at how many followers they 27:43 have. MashaAllah. Thousands of people 27:44 converted to Islam, thousands received 27:46 guidance from them. Oh, they must be 27:47 successful in their preaching. Not 27:48 necessarily, though. So, how is it? So, 27:50 the benchmark isn't all that, right? We 27:53 have discussed this before. The 27:54 benchmark is not that; the benchmark is 27:56 how the preacher themselves is doing— 27:58 are they closer to Allah because of 28:00 their preaching, or actually further 28:02 from Allah? It returns to the first 28:04 point of guidance: they give others 28:06 guidance, but wait, are they receiving 28:08 guidance themselves? Yes. 28:10 With their actions, they are busy 28:12 preaching here and there. But because 28:14 of that, their Dhuha prayer gets 28:16 delayed. Sometimes they miss it, and 28:18 this is an example that you are not 28:20 getting guidance. Instead, it should 28:23 make you more disciplined, more 28:26 consistent in your Dhuha, your Witr, 28:29 and your daily Qur'an recitation. 28:33 SubhanAllah. A few days ago, I got word 28:37 from Sayyid Habib Umar, he said, "You 28:41 know, when Imam Habib Abdul Qadir bin 28:45 Ahmad as-Saqqaf first moved to Jeddah, 28:49 he was incredibly busy." And he was a 28:52 highly respected and honorable man, and 28:55 many Hadrami people moving to Jeddah, 28:58 to Saudi, often sought his intercession 29:01 ; he would help them with that. "He was 29:04 exceptionally busy, Habib. With his 29:07 scholarly assemblies, and helping with 29:11 all sorts of needs. It was incredible 29:14 how busy he was. But here is what he 29:15 said. He said," As for reading a 29:18 seventh of the Quran a day, that is 29:21 something I will never abandon. "He 29:24 said," A seventh of the Quran each day. 29:28 " 29:28 Yes, that's right. 29:29 Four juz a day. So, how much is that? A 29:32 seventh of the Quran per day. What does 29:34 that mean? Completing the Quran once a 29:36 week. Yes. 29:37 This is a non-negotiable spiritual 29:39 practice. No matter how busy I am, 29:42 reading a seventh of the Quran a day 29:44 cannot be negotiated. It must be done. 29:47 See, it's like this. 29:48 MasyaAllah. 29:49 So, no matter how busy a preacher is 29:50 with their preaching—and this is 29:51 preaching, mind you. This is an 29:53 extraordinary matter. Oh, who could be 29:58 greater than those who preach? Good. 30:00 Even in preaching like this, the 30:02 benchmark is guidance. Are you getting 30:06 closer to Allah through this preaching, 30:07 or are you actually getting further 30:09 away from Allah through it? Likewise, 30:11 in seeking knowledge, the true 30:13 benchmark is guidance. Who is the true 30:15 seeker of knowledge? Those who attain 30:17 guidance through their knowledge. They 30:19 become closer to Allah through their 30:21 knowledge. And who is the seeker of 30:23 knowledge who is not on the right path? 30:24 They are those who, despite their 30:25 knowledge, grow further from Allah the 30:27 Exalted. There it is, my brothers. The 30:29 Prophet. 30:31 Now, the second hadith. Peace be upon 30:35 him. And the devil will hide this 30:37 hadith from you. The devil tries to 30:39 make you neglect this hadith. What is 30:41 it?" The most severely punished on the 30:43 Day of Judgment. "Who is the person 30:45 with the most painful punishment on the 30:47 Day of Judgment? Is it the disbeliever? 30:50 Who is it? The immoral person who 30:52 commits many sins? No. The one with the 30:54 most painful punishment on the Day of 30:56 Judgment is the learned man, the 30:57 scholar. But which scholar? The one 30:59 whom Allah the Exalted did not benefit 31:01 with his knowledge." One who has 31:05 knowledge but does not act upon it will 31:06 be punished before idolaters. " 31:10 A person who has knowledge but does not 31:13 act upon it will be thrown into Hell 31:15 before the idol worshipers. As the 31:18 author of Zubat, Imam Ruslan, said. Why 31:22 ? Because an ignorant person is more 31:24 noble than a scholar who does not act 31:26 on his knowledge. The ignorant person 31:28 simply lacks knowledge, so he doesn't 31:30 act on it. He didn't have the capital 31:32 of knowledge to begin with. But the 31:33 scholar whom Allah has already given 31:34 the capital of knowledge, yet he 31:36 trivializes that knowledge, his 31:37 punishment is far worse. It's as if 31:39 Allah entrusted him, but he betrayed 31:42 that trust. So, there you have it. 31:44 That's why, um, that's why, what do you 31:47 call it? We often recite that prayer, 31:49 right? Allahumma inni a'udzubika min ' 31:51 ilmin la yanfa'. O Allah, do not grant 31:53 us knowledge that is of no benefit, O 31:55 Allah. Dangerous, dangerous. It's the 31:58 same here, and the devil will hide this 32:01 hadith from you. The Prophet said," 32:07 When I was, uh, on the night of Isra 32:10 and Mi'raj, I passed by several groups 32:13 of people. "Oh, this is very timely. We 32:15 are currently in the month of Sha'ban. 32:16 In 9 days, 8 days, we will celebrate 32:18 Isra. 32:19 Isra and Mi'raj. 32:21 MashaAllah, Bib. Isra and Mi'raj, there 32:26 are, uh, several realms, Bib, that the 32:28 Prophet passed through. The worldly 32:31 realm, his journey from where, from 32:34 Mecca to Masjid al-Aqsa, that is the 32:36 earthly realm, then the heavenly realm. 32:40 That is the first Mi'raj, the second 32:42 heaven, there is the third, the realm 32:45 of symbolism, that realm. 32:47 What is meant by this realm of 32:49 symbolism? It is that during the Isra 32:52 and Mi'raj, the Prophet was shown by 32:54 Angel Gabriel the symbolism of his 32:56 ummah who commit sins like this. This 32:58 is an example. 32:59 The symbolism of his ummah who perform 33:01 good deeds like this. This is an 33:02 example. That is why the Prophet saw an 33:05 example; a large, fat cow coming out of 33:08 a tiny hole. That cow came out, the cow 33:10 was huge. The hole was very small. But 33:12 after it came out, the cow tried to go 33:14 back into the hole, but it couldn't. 33:16 The Prophet asked," What does this mean 33:17 ? "" This is it, O Messenger of Allah, 33:20 some of your ummah say words that are 33:23 great, and the impact is great. "The 33:26 words have already left their mouths, 33:27 and the impact is significant. They 33:30 regret it and want to take those words 33:33 back inside again. They cannot. 33:35 Oh my God. 33:36 Now, that's an example. If the words 33:39 have already gone out, they've gone 33:40 viral, try it again. 33:41 Oh. 33:41 Oh. Can it be canceled? It cannot. 33:43 It cannot. 33:44 Forever. That is a permanent record. 33:46 When we used to study communication, it 33:48 was called irreversible communication. 33:50 What is that, Bib? 33:51 The nature of it, Bib. Uh, the first 33:52 law of communication is that it's 33:54 irreversible; it cannot be taken back. 33:56 Lailahaillallah. 33:57 Whether we try to fix it, whether we... 33:59 If now... 34:00 Clarification is impossible. 34:03 We want to, yes, that's right. We want 34:06 to, well, whatever we do, even if we 34:08 apologize, communication, once it is 34:10 released, we cannot pull it back. 34:13 Lailahaillallah. Is that so, Bib? Yes, 34:16 it has been illustrated by the Prophet. 34:17 Amazing. Na'am. Na'am. Very true. Sahih 34:20 , Bib. So, what was it again? There is 34:24 a third realm in Isra and Mi'raj. 34:25 Mi'raj. The realm of symbolism. 34:27 The realm of symbolism. Now, among them 34:29 , the Prophet said," I passed by, on 34:31 the night of Isra and Mi'raj, in the 34:33 heavens, there were groups. There were 34:35 some people, tuqradhu shifahuhum. " 34:37 Their lips were being clipped, their 34:39 tongues were being clipped with 34:41 scissors made of fire from hell, so I 34:44 said, 'Who are you? Why is the 34:46 punishment like this? It's so scary.' 34:49 So they keep getting their tongues and 34:51 lips clipped, they grow back, and they 34:54 get clipped again. 34:55 Oh my God. 34:57 And they replied," kunna na’muru 35:00 bil-khayri wala na’tih, "we were 35:02 people who always commanded others to 35:05 do good, but we ourselves did not do it 35:08 . 35:09 H. 35:10 And we always warned people against 35:12 doing bad deeds, but at the same time, 35:14 we committed them ourselves. 35:16 Oh Allah. 35:17 Well, that is what the punishment will 35:18 be like on the Day of Judgment. 35:19 Naudubillah minzalik, oh Allah. It’s 35:20 dangerous, Ma'am. A great warning from 35:29 Allah Ta'ala. 35:30 Don't just talk, if you want to put it 35:32 in modern slang, 35:34 don't just be all talk. Why do you 35:38 speak about things you do not practice? 35:43 Allah Ta'ala is—truly, the wrath of 35:46 Allah is great upon those who speak but 35:50 do not practice; Imam Ghazali concludes 35:53 here," So, beware, beware, oh you poor 35:57 soul! You are listening to the devil's 36:02 deception, or you are taking hold of 36:08 the rope extended by the devil. What 36:11 rope? The rope of his deception? "Don't 36:13 you dare take that rope. Don't let 36:15 yourself be deceived by that devil." 36:17 Fawailun lil-jahili haytsu lam ya’lam 36:19 marrah wahidah. "For the ignorant 36:22 person, there is woe. But his woe is 36:25 only once." Wa wailun lil-‘alimi 36:27 haytsu lam ya’mal bi-‘ilmihi alfa 36:30 marrah. "But for the scholar who does 36:32 not practice his knowledge, there is 36:33 woe a thousand times over. Wow. Some 36:37 people say like this," Wow, if that's 36:38 the case, I'll just be an ignorant 36:39 person. If that's the case, forget it, 36:41 rather than being a scholar and facing 36:42 a thousand-fold woe. Right? "Yes, 36:44 that’s actually even more wretched. 36:49 There are people like that. Wow, we're 36:51 in a lose-lose situation. Why is it 36:53 that if we're called ignorant, we're 36:55 doomed, and if we study, we're doomed 36:57 too? Why is it more dangerous, so maybe 36:59 it's better not to study at all? 37:01 Isn't that right? 37:04 Let's analyze this. If a person doesn't 37:08 study, it's a sin. Now, 37:12 studying and not practicing it is also 37:14 a sin. But a person who doesn't study 37:17 because if they learned they would know 37:20 better—that sin is the greatest of 37:22 all. H. 37:23 A person who does not study, even 37:25 though they are able to study but 37:26 refuse to. Oh, this is the biggest sin. 37:29 Wow, only then comes the sin of someone 37:30 who studies but does not practice. Yes. 37:32 Exactly. Imam Haddad says it like this, 37:35 " It’s like this, we study, then 37:37 after we study, we practice. 37:39 We practice, and we teach—those three 37:41 things are the duty. "So there are 37:42 three obligations. I. 37:44 Some people say," Oh, I'll just study 37:46 and practice first. I can't preach yet. 37:49 It's not appropriate for me to preach; 37:51 I'm afraid I'll preach about things I 37:52 don't do. "He. 37:54 Imam Haddad says," Well, it's the same 37:55 thing. "Why is it wrong?" What is your 37:58 mistake? Allah made three things 37:59 mandatory: learning, practicing, and 38:02 preaching. That means you have 38:04 practiced 38:05 two 38:05 out of three. 38:06 In fact, preaching is a part of 38:07 practicing your knowledge through 38:09 spreading the word. 38:10 He. 38:11 If you abandon preaching to practice 38:13 first, it means you haven't truly 38:15 practiced the knowledge. It means 38:17 you'll only take one thing. 38:18 You leave two behind. It’s better to 38:20 take one and leave two behind. Rather 38:21 than 38:22 leaving two behind and only taking one. 38:25 They say it's like that. 38:26 Huh. 38:26 So what is it? Uh, there’s no such 38:28 thing as, "I'll learn first, practice 38:30 first, then preach." 38:32 Or, "I won't learn at all." You end up 38:35 neglecting all three, it’s all a sin, 38:37 in the end, all three duties are failed 38:38 . 38:39 So it’s better to learn and teach 38:40 even while we are practicing. 38:42 Trying. 38:43 Trying, yes. 38:44 That’s cool, that’s the key, Habib. 38:45 Masha Allah, you are great. 38:46 Masha Allah, Habib, the important thing 38:48 is we try to practice it first, right 38:50 Habib? But if, if for example, Habib, 38:53 if for example 38:55 we have a chance to speak, but if we 38:58 want to convey it, we haven't done it 39:01 ourselves yet. What then? 39:02 Jamil Jidan. Masha Allah, your answer 39:04 is very cool. 39:06 The answer. How so? That verse earlier 39:08 is scary, isn't it? 39:09 Wow. 39:10 Uh, "Lima taquluna ma la taf'alun" or 39:12 the hadith earlier 39:13 what should I do? I'm confused. I have 39:15 knowledge. 39:16 I see someone doing wrong. I want to 39:18 advise them, but at the same time, I 39:20 sometimes do that mistake too. 39:22 What’s the solution? Advise them even 39:25 if you are not yet perfect in avoiding 39:28 that bad deed. 39:29 Yeah. 39:29 Or a certain good deed. I want them to 39:31 pray Duha. Even though my Duha prayer 39:33 isn't perfect yet. Advise them. That is 39:36 actually your main trigger to practice 39:38 your knowledge. That is amazing, Habib. 39:39 What do you call that? Effective. 39:42 Effective. Extraordinary. To trigger 39:45 ourselves to practice what we teach. 39:48 That’s the main trigger; sometimes 39:50 when we are teaching, we feel ashamed 39:52 ourselves, and eventually, we are moved 39:53 to practice. 39:54 Or with the intention that when we 39:56 convey it, we are actually advising 39:58 ourselves. 39:58 Wow, that is amazing, truly correct. 40:02 Very correct, while advising oneself. 40:04 That’s right, so if we stop teaching 40:08 people 40:11 well, you abandon good, because why? 40:13 Because I am not perfect yet. There is 40:17 no such thing as good preventing good. 40:21 If good prevents good, surely one of 40:24 them is not actually good. 40:26 Hmm. 40:27 There is good and there is evil. " 40:29 Al-khair la yamna'u min al-khair." 40:30 There is no such story. If there is 40:32 good that prevents another good, then 40:33 surely it must be...If it's not this, 40:35 if it's not this, then the evil one 40:36 must be. 40:37 There is no story of "good prevents 40:39 good." So keep going, Habib. 40:43 This is discussed by Imam Fakhr al-Razi 40:45 in his tafsir regarding that verse. 40:48 Because if that were the case, many 40:51 people wouldn't preach. If we had to 40:53 practice our knowledge first before 40:55 preaching. 40:56 It’s more frightening than the verse 40:57 earlier. He said that what is meant by 41:00 that verse is someone who has no 41:01 intention at all to practice their 41:03 knowledge. 41:04 Hmm. Who only uses knowledge as a means 41:07 . 41:07 to attack people or seize the world 41:10 from others by teaching or giving 41:12 advice, but having absolutely no 41:14 intention to practice it. Now, this 41:16 falls under this verse. 41:17 H 41:17 lima taqulun mala taf'alun. Or, as Imam 41:20 Ghazali said in the book we just 41:22 mentioned, 41:23 Yeah. 41:23 just mere narrations 41:27 only as stories to tell when hanging 41:29 out, 41:30 so they can look smart in people's eyes 41:32 . 41:32 Yes. Lailahaillallah. 41:34 May God protect us. Subhanallah. This 41:36 is what is hit by this verse. 41:37 What is affected by that verse. That's 41:38 correct. Bib, I have a funny story from 41:40 the other day. Yesterday at Masjid 41:43 Asiddiq, in the back, in the community, 41:45 there was someone asking, B. 41:47 Okay. 41:48 Asking like this, "Beb, Beb, why do we 41:52 get married? What is the purpose of 41:55 marriage?" I want to answer, but I 41:57 haven't gotten married yet. There, 42:02 there is a disclaimer. 42:04 This is advice from Imam Ghazali. 42:08 God. 42:08 I am advising myself. 42:11 If you get benefits from it, I'm 42:13 grateful. 42:16 So use a disclaimer, Beb. Like that, 42:18 rayut, BB. Yes, that's fine, BB. 42:20 That's very cool, Beb. Cool. Cool. 42:22 I am conveying what I haven't practiced 42:24 myself. 42:26 Oh God. 42:27 Oh God, B. God willing. So, 42:29 Masyaallah. So, the reason, may you, 42:31 God willing, be blessed. For those who 42:33 want to ask, please send your questions 42:35 to 0811 42:38 999720 or you can call 0218451512. We 42:45 will return shortly. Hasil TV He. 48:04 Brothers and sisters who are blessed by 48:05 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Still with 48:06 us in Cibubur under the drizzling rain. 48:10 Masyaallah, it's so serene, brothers 48:12 and sisters. If brothers and sisters 48:15 stop by the Bopohon restaurant in the 48:16 morning, the atmosphere is truly 48:18 romantic, Habib. 48:19 Oh, is that so? At the Joglo house, the 48:23 Aceh house, and then looking at the 48:25 geese. 48:27 Oh, nice. 48:28 Sitting in the rain while looking at 48:30 bonsai plants that are decades old. 48:32 Right, Bib. Those bonsai plants become 48:36 witnesses to the marriages of people 48:38 who get married 48:40 there, Bib. 48:41 Oh, there. 48:42 Many, Bib. 48:43 Many. 48:43 Among them, Aki Musa got married there. 48:46 Where? Where? At the pendopo of Radio 48:50 Silaturahim. 48:52 It also becomes a witness for the 48:54 monthly Umahat study group. And for 48:57 brothers and sisters who usually follow 48:59 the Umahat Study, the study this month 49:02 is moved to the 18th for the Isra 49:04 Mi'raj event. God willing, it will be 49:07 filled by Ustaz Salman Alfarisi. And 49:09 then Ustaz Husein and Ustaz Hamzah and 49:12 also Ustaz Agus Sudarmaji. Please, 49:15 brothers and sisters, spare your time 49:17 to come, bring your children, bring 49:19 your wife on Saturday morning. Bringing 49:22 food is also allowed, let's do a 49:23 potluck and eat together. After that, 49:26 we'll raid the Bopohon restaurant, God 49:28 willing. Brothers and sisters who are 49:31 blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, 49:33 we are still studying the book 49:35 Bidayatul Hidayah by Imam Ghazali. 49:37 Oh, we felt like we were being slapped, 49:41 given the characteristics of people who 49:44 seek knowledge but have the wrong 49:47 intentions, right, Bib? uh, in seeking 49:51 knowledge. In fact, scholars say that 49:54 today it's easy to distinguish a 49:56 scholar of the hereafter. If they love 49:59 the books of Imam Ghazali, God willing, 50:01 they can be called a scholar of the 50:04 hereafter. If they love them and, of 50:06 course, practice them. 50:08 Not just liking them but not putting 50:09 them into practice. 50:11 We have Ibu Rini Raharjo listening, 50:13 thank God. There's Ibu Juni in Ciputat, 50:17 Ibu Atikah, Fatur Taikondo Marinir, 50:20 Aruma Tiningsih, Ibu Atik, Rahman, 50:22 Sutrisno, Nuragung, Nana Sumarna, 50:25 Saiful, Muhammad Rosidi, Ibu Ros 50:28 Sarifudin, and Ummi Latifah. Oh, and 50:32 many others sending their regards via 50:34 WhatsApp, just in from Mr. Mukhtar in 50:36 East Java. Praise be to God. Let me 50:39 choose one for a moment. Which one is 50:41 the question? Many are just saying 50:43 hello. Just that. Ah, here is Ibu Juni 50:46 in Ciputat asking, "Peace be upon you, 50:49 Habib Ahmad. 50:51 I am Ibu J in Ciputat. 50:54 I like to share things I know with my 50:58 husband, matters regarding character, 51:02 rules, and simple knowledge that I've 51:05 learned. Because, thank God, I love 51:08 attending religious study groups, 51:10 learning memorization, and so on. Thank 51:12 God. But unfortunately, my husband 51:14 often dismisses it and rejects it with 51:16 the argument, 'Ah, just being told by 51:18 someone who is still learning.' It's a 51:20 shame he doesn't want to learn. What 51:22 should I do, Ustaz? I'm starting to 51:24 feel lazy about reminding him. Is it 51:26 wrong? Thank you, Ustaz. From Ibu Juni 51:28 in Ciputat." Oh my, don't be sad, Ibu 51:30 Juni. Even the Prophet was rejected, 51:32 let alone us. Please, BB. True, true. 51:36 Correct, correct. 51:37 Praise be to God. 51:39 Ha. Wonderful. Wonderful, wonderful, 51:41 Habib. In the name of God. For Ibu Yuni 51:45 or those in a similar situation, our 51:48 obligation is simply to convey the 51:52 message. And indeed, guidance is in the 51:55 hands of God Almighty. "Indeed, you do 51:59 not guide whom you like, but Allah 52:01 guides whom He wills." Now, there it is 52:03 . 52:03 The essence of guidance is solely in 52:05 the hands of God. We are only, 52:08 hopefully honored to be, the cause or 52:10 means for those who deliver that 52:12 guidance. Now, the brother said, the 52:16 Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, 52:18 was directly told, "Indeed, you cannot 52:20 guide." You, O Prophet Muhammad, cannot 52:23 provide guidance to whom you wish. Even 52:27 though in another verse, God Almighty 52:30 stated, "And indeed, you guide to a 52:32 straight path." You are the one who 52:35 brings guidance to the straight path. 52:37 At the same time, God Almighty also 52:39 established that guidance for the 52:40 Prophet, peace be upon him, as the 52:42 cause. That is true. So that is why, 52:47 sometimes when we advise people, the 52:51 number one rule in the etiquette of 52:55 advising is not to look down on the 52:59 person we are advising. The person we 53:04 are advising. And when we advise others 53:08 , we are actually just advising 53:11 ourselves. First. Secondly, we advise 53:15 others in the hope that this person 53:18 will become a bridge for me to receive 53:21 intercession later on the Day of 53:23 Judgment. It could be that with the 53:25 advice we give him, he becomes a better 53:27 person and eventually enters Paradise 53:29 before us. Yes, hopefully he will 53:31 become an intercessor for us on the Day 53:33 of Judgment, brothers. Now, that is the 53:36 intention we should set when we give 53:39 advice to others. Yes, and certainly 53:44 when we give advice to others, we must 53:47 believe that we are far worse than the 53:50 person we are advising and that they 53:53 are far better than us. That is what is 53:57 important, brothers. Very, very 53:59 important. Now, if we give advice with 54:02 the manners we mentioned earlier, God 54:05 willing, there is great hope that the 54:08 advice will be accepted by that person; 54:11 whether it is accepted or not, Allah 54:14 Almighty ordains it, and indeed 54:17 guidance is in Allah's hands. We only 54:20 strive as much as possible. Take Imam 54:23 Al-Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsyi, 54:26 for example. From Kwitang. 54:28 Kwitang. When he gave sermons, he only 54:31 brought the book "Nashaihul Ibad." 54:34 Hmm. 54:35 That was his sermon material. The book 54:37 "Nashaihul Ibad," and also when he led 54:40 the dhikr at the end of the gathering 54:43 to guide the congregation in reciting " 54:45 La ilaha illallah." Just by standing up 54:49 , everyone would immediately start 54:50 crying. They were humbled and crying, 54:52 even though he hadn't started preaching 54:53 yet. Even though he hadn't said 54:55 anything yet, people were already 54:56 crying. That's why some of his students 55:00 eventually said, "Masya Allah, how 55:01 extraordinary, Habib. We have heard 55:04 guidance from many others, but the 55:06 impact isn't like yours. You are truly 55:08 amazing. Before you even start the 55:11 dhikr, people are already deeply moved 55:13 and weeping." Al-Habib Ali bin 55:17 Abdurrahman Al-Habsyi replied, "When I 55:19 stand up to lead the dhikr, I believe 55:21 that I am the most despicable person in 55:24 this gathering." Hmm. "And they are the 55:27 noble ones, from whom I hope to receive 55:30 blessings through this dhikr." Ah, so 55:33 that intention had a positive impact on 55:36 the listeners, which finally made them 55:39 feel touched, moved, and brought to 55:41 tears. Now, in any case, when we convey 55:47 advice to anyone, whether to a person, 55:50 our relatives, our husbands, or our 55:53 children, let us keep in mind, brothers 55:56 , that we have good intentions for them 55:59 . Hopefully, they can become better 56:01 through this advice. And we must also 56:04 believe that they are more noble than 56:06 us. And with this advice, hopefully, 56:09 they can grant me intercession on the 56:11 Day of Judgment. Just like that. And 56:15 don't forget to pray for them; don't 56:17 just give advice during the day but 56:19 fail to send guidance to them at night. 56:22 What does that mean? Yes, by praying. 56:24 Praying to Allah, asking, "Oh Allah, 56:26 grant guidance to this person, to my 56:28 husband, to them." Well, God willing, 56:31 your prayers can be thousands of times 56:33 more impactful than your advice. O word 56:36 . That is the person who preaches, who 56:39 is always preaching day and night. Ya 56:42 ayyuhal muzammil. akhir ayah inakahar. 56:50 So here, Allah Ta'ala brings together 56:52 two matters. At night, you pray to Him. 56:56 At night, you plead for Allah Ta'ala to 56:59 give guidance to the targets of your 57:02 preaching, to your husband, to your 57:05 children. And by day, you strive by 57:08 advising and preaching. Innalaka fin 57:11 nahari sabhan thwil. By day, you have 57:14 what you call it? A very long striving. 57:17 What does that mean? Efforts in 57:19 preaching are made during the day and 57:21 at night. Illa qila, and preaching at 57:25 night has a greater impact than 57:27 preaching during the day, and that is 57:29 proof of a preacher's sincerity, that 57:32 he also preaches at night. A summary of 57:37 a preacher's criteria is a person who, 57:41 by day, persuades Allah's servants to 57:44 love Allah, and at night, he persuades 57:48 Allah to love His servants. Yes, that's 57:52 it. 57:52 Allah. 57:53 Yes. Yes. So what does he do during the 57:56 day? Persuades people to love. Love 57:58 Allah. Come on, get closer to Allah. 58:00 During the day. 58:01 At night, it's the opposite; he 58:02 persuades Allah to get closer to... "O 58:04 Allah, this person, O Allah, grant him 58:06 guidance, O Allah, get close to this 58:07 person, O Allah." 58:08 Now, that's him persuading Allah at 58:10 night. That is the essence of a 58:11 preacher. 58:13 Oh, goodness. 58:15 That's all his work is. 58:16 That's all his work is. Habib. How do 58:18 you persuade? Persuading. 58:19 Persuading, nothing more than 58:20 persuading. But it's not just during 58:21 the day he persuades; in fact, at night 58:23 , the persuasion is even more 58:25 significant, persuading Allah to be... 58:27 close to His servants. 58:29 So, a preacher must be the most 58:32 romantic person. 58:33 Oh, karam kabir. 58:35 Because he should be good at persuading 58:37 . Masyaallah. 58:39 Ibrahim is here keeping us company, 58:41 masyaallah. 58:42 Ustaz Sobari. Sabari what? Ustaz. 58:44 patience (sabar). There is. 58:46 Ustaz Sabri in front. 58:47 Iqbal. 58:47 Oh, Ustaz Iqbal. He is resting in the 58:51 car. Brothers and sisters. There is Ibu 58:54 Azizi. Masyaallah, sorry I'm late. 58:57 Thank you for listening. Already. Thank 59:00 you, Ibu, for listening. Tini. Ibu 59:03 Tini. 59:03 Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy 59:04 and blessings. Habib, regarding sharing 59:07 knowledge with someone or other people, 59:12 but still maintaining the feeling that 59:14 we are more lowly than the person we 59:16 are sharing knowledge with. What are 59:19 the tips, Habib? Thank you. 59:20 Oh, extraordinary. 59:21 Cool. 59:22 That is. Cool, Habib. Habib, Bib. 59:25 How do you do that, B? 59:26 That's really cool. And not just that, 59:29 how do you make sure people don't feel 59:31 like we're acting like their teacher? 59:35 Because sometimes people get annoyed if 59:36 they are being taught. 59:37 Yes. "Ah, you're just a novice.""Ah, 59:40 you just started learning yesterday." 59:43 So, how do we do it, BB? Yeah, those 59:45 tactics. 59:46 Excellent. Cool, cool, Bib. Yeah. 59:48 Okay. Bismillah. Two points. The first 59:50 one, yeah. 59:51 How do we act when we teach others, yet 59:54 we feel we are more despicable? Look, 59:57 it's not actually feeling it, brother. 59:59 We must believe it. Not pretending, but 1:00:02 truly convinced that we are more 1:00:04 despicable than them. Certainly, 1:00:08 brothers, if we happen to witness 1:00:10 someone committing an evil deed right 1:00:12 before our eyes, 1:00:13 Yeah. Yeah. 1:00:14 We are obligated to think well of them. 1:00:18 Even Imam Syafi'i, imagine this, he 1:00:21 said, "If you pass by someone you know, 1:00:24 and they are in a state of drunkenness, 1:00:27 Do not immediately assume that they 1:00:30 have just committed the sin of drinking 1:00:33 ." It could be that they were drugged 1:00:36 by their friends without their 1:00:37 knowledge. It could be they are not 1:00:40 sinful at all. 1:00:41 Yeah. 1:00:41 Well, what do you call it? What if it 1:00:45 turns out the intoxication wasn't from 1:00:47 alcohol, but from something else? 1:00:49 That's what Imam Syafi'i said. "But I 1:00:51 smelled it.""I smelled alcohol coming 1:00:54 from their mouth.""I saw, what do you 1:00:58 call it?" No. Imam Syafi'i said maybe 1:01:00 they were just rinsing their mouth. 1:01:02 For example, "Oh my, I saw alcohol 1:01:04 spilled on their beard.""No, they could 1:01:07 have been doused with alcohol by 1:01:09 someone else." See, that's how far it 1:01:12 goes. Even when it's right before our 1:01:13 eyes—someone drunk, with the smell of 1:01:15 alcohol on their breath, and a beard 1:01:17 soaked in it. We are still not 1:01:20 permitted to think ill of them. That's 1:01:23 how it is. Especially when we haven't 1:01:24 even seen them do anything bad. We only 1:01:26 hear it, "Oh my God, 1:01:28 just hearing rumors 1:01:30 from people talking." 1:01:31 From gossip, yes. It would be very 1:01:34 strange if we were to attack them 1:01:36 without clarification or anything like 1:01:38 that. If for someone whose bad deeds we 1:01:41 actually see, we are not allowed to 1:01:43 think we are superior, let alone for 1:01:45 someone we haven't seen. In fact, the 1:01:47 jurists say this, and the Sufi scholars 1:01:50 also say this. What do they call it? If 1:01:52 you see someone sinning right before 1:01:54 you—and they mention quite an extreme 1:01:57 case. Yes, if you saw someone 1:01:59 committing adultery in front of you, 1:02:02 and then, once they finished that vile 1:02:08 act, they were hidden from your sight 1:02:11 by a wall. The scholars say, "It is 1:02:15 fitting for you to think well of them, 1:02:18 that they have already become righteous 1:02:20 ." Wait, how could that be? Because 1:02:22 when they were hidden by that wall, 1:02:24 perhaps they repented. They repented to 1:02:26 Allah sincerely, and Allah forgave 1:02:28 their sins and elevated their status. 1:02:30 It is possible. The scholars even say, 1:02:32 "I believe that right now, they have 1:02:35 become a saint." Wait, how can they 1:02:36 become a saint? They were sinning right 1:02:37 in front of me earlier. Because there 1:02:39 was a pole blocking me from passing by 1:02:42 them earlier. It was only for a moment. 1:02:45 It could be that in the brief moment I 1:02:47 didn't see them because a pole was 1:02:48 blocking me, they might have repented 1:02:50 right there. See, it could go that far, 1:02:53 brothers. So, as students, no matter 1:02:56 how bad the faults we see in others are 1:02:59 , know that—this is important, 1:03:02 brothers. Very important. How does 1:03:05 someone else's great sin affect you? 1:03:09 Affect you, personally. Yes, it doesn't 1:03:11 affect you at all. The negative impact 1:03:13 returns to that person. But your own 1:03:16 small sin, if Allah does not forgive 1:03:19 you, has a very negative impact on you, 1:03:21 brothers. Why are we busy worrying 1:03:24 about other people's sins, even if they 1:03:26 are great, when they won't negatively 1:03:28 affect us in the hereafter? Yes. It’s 1:03:31 impossible; there’s no such thing as 1:03:33 us going to hell because someone else 1:03:35 sinned. The one who goes to hell is the 1:03:36 one who committed the sin. But your 1:03:39 small sin could actually bar you from 1:03:41 entering paradise. That’s why we 1:03:45 cannot judge others as doomed or ruined 1:03:48 . It is better to mind our own business 1:03:51 regarding our own sins, which are so 1:03:53 numerous. Our sins are indeed many, 1:03:55 brothers. It is only because Allah 1:03:57 Ta'ala is kind to us that He covers our 1:03:59 sins. 1:03:59 Oh Allah. That's right. 1:04:01 True. Uh. What did Ibn Yagul say? 1:04:06 Shu'aib Abi Madyan, or Yagul, in his 1:04:09 qasida. Do not see any flaws...Do not 1:04:21 look for flaws except within yourself; 1:04:25 you are the only one you are permitted 1:04:28 to think poorly of. 1:04:30 To rebuke or criticize—that’s who 1:04:32 you are. That is what is permitted. We 1:04:33 are not permitted to insult or think 1:04:35 poorly of others. And consider the 1:04:37 flaws in yourself as real. And believe 1:04:39 that the faults and shortcomings within 1:04:42 you are very real. It is only that 1:04:44 Allah Ta'ala covers them. If Allah were 1:04:46 to expose our shortcomings, no one 1:04:48 would want to sit with us, brothers. It 1:04:50 is certain that if people knew who you 1:04:53 really were, no one would want to be 1:04:55 near you. 1:04:56 Yes. But Allah covers your faults so 1:04:58 that people always see you as good. 1:05:01 What they see is only the veil of Allah 1:05:03 , through which He covers your faults. 1:05:06 It is not that you are good, but that 1:05:07 Allah’s veil is good. 1:05:08 Oh Allah. 1:05:09 That is it. With this mindset, it is 1:05:12 easy for us to believe. Not just 1:05:16 suspect, no. We believe and we realize, 1:05:19 we truly realize, that we are worse 1:05:21 than the person we are advising. 1:05:24 That is one thing. And also, brothers, 1:05:26 what is it? Make this advice for the 1:05:29 person we see committing wrong. Just 1:05:32 like before. Intend that, God willing, 1:05:34 with this advice, they become better 1:05:36 and they might intercede for me on the 1:05:38 Day of Judgment. And also, the most 1:05:40 important thing, according to Imam 1:05:42 Ghazali, is regarding the final outcome 1:05:43 . How can I judge myself to be better 1:05:46 than them and them to be worse than me? 1:05:49 Even though they are still alive, not 1:05:50 yet dead. It is possible that Allah 1:05:52 Ta'ala will change their life and they 1:05:54 will attain a good ending. And it is 1:05:56 possible—may Allah protect us—that 1:05:58 in my current state, Allah could change 1:06:00 my condition. All of that is possible 1:06:01 in the sight of Allah Ta'ala. That is 1:06:03 why the end of our lives cannot be 1:06:05 known, brothers. That is why we cannot 1:06:07 judge ourselves to be better than 1:06:09 others. Al-Imam Abdul Qadir al-Jailani 1:06:12 had something amazing happen. There was 1:06:16 a time when he was walking with his 1:06:18 friends and students. Then a man passed 1:06:22 by in a drunken state, and his students 1:06:25 acted a certain way. Finally, the 1:06:28 person who was drunk, who was 1:06:30 half-conscious, called out to Sheikh 1:06:32 Abdul Qadir Jailani. And immediately, 1:06:34 Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jailani, with his 1:06:36 humility, stepped down from his horse 1:06:38 to approach the man. The man whispered 1:06:40 to him. Sheikh replied to him. 1:06:43 Whispered again. Replied again. 1:06:45 Whispered again. Sheikh Abdul Qadir 1:06:47 Jailani cried in front of this man. His 1:06:49 students were confused. Oh, why was 1:06:51 that? Why 1:06:52 was he crying? Yes. Why was he crying? 1:06:54 What did that man do to him? Yeah. He 1:06:57 returned to his friends in tears. 1:06:59 Crying, truly crying hysterically. Do 1:07:02 you know what he said to me? He gave me 1:07:04 extraordinary advice. Why did he say it 1:07:07 like this? "Are you Abdul Qadir Jailani 1:07:09 ?""Yes.""Are you the one whom people 1:07:12 call a noble person?""What about you?" 1:07:15 He said, 1:07:16 uh, the drunken man said this, 1:07:18 masyaallah, what do you call it? 1:07:20 Half-conscious, but also admitting that 1:07:23 he was in the wrong. The drunken man 1:07:26 said this, "Can Allah Ta'ala change my 1:07:29 current state so that I can become a 1:07:32 noble person like you?" Then I said to 1:07:36 him, "Have hope, have hope, it is 1:07:38 possible.""Allah can forgive all your 1:07:41 sins and make you better than me." 1:07:43 H- 1:07:45 He whispered again. "Can Allah Ta'ala 1:07:49 change your current good state to 1:07:51 become wretched like me?" He was 1:07:55 immediately taken aback. "Yes, Allah 1:08:01 Ta'ala is able, Allah is able to change 1:08:02 my current state to become more 1:08:04 wretched than you, it is possible, 1:08:06 Allah is able." He cried because of 1:08:07 that. 1:08:08 Oh Allah. 1:08:10 Crying, crying, crying, saying that 1:08:12 Allah is just capable of changing that 1:08:15 state. Brothers, la ilaha illallah. 1:08:19 That is why once there was 1:08:24 lailahaillallah, someone who was being 1:08:27 persecuted, a Muslim being persecuted 1:08:31 by a disbeliever. And finally, the 1:08:36 Muslim was advised by his teacher, "Be 1:08:39 patient, you are a Muslim, you are in a 1:08:43 state of blessing right now.""What 1:08:46 blessing?" He said, "Am I like this?"" 1:08:49 You are still in a state of blessing."" 1:08:51 It is possible.""Look at the necklace 1:08:54 worn by that disbeliever.""As long as 1:08:57 you are not wearing that necklace, you 1:08:58 are in a great blessing.""If that 1:09:00 necklace were to move to your neck, 1:09:02 well, then the blessing would disappear 1:09:03 from you." What does that mean? This is 1:09:06 an extraordinary warning, brothers. Uh, 1:09:08 what do you call it? What you have is 1:09:09 already extraordinary, my brother. Well 1:09:11 , it could be that Allah Ta'ala 1:09:13 transfers their disbelief to you. God 1:09:15 forbid. To that extent, it’s said 1:09:17 that Allah could simply remove guidance 1:09:20 from you due to our poor manners toward 1:09:23 Allah Ta'ala. Oh God. 1:09:25 That’s why, when we advise people, we 1:09:28 only strive to offer them goodness 1:09:31 without judging ourselves as better. It 1:09:35 could be that Allah Ta'ala transfers 1:09:37 that ugliness to yourself. God forbid. 1:09:45 It is said, "Do not mock your brother 1:09:47 for a vice." Allah is capable of 1:09:50 transferring that vice to you. 1:09:53 It’s possible, so that is why we 1:09:56 absolutely cannot, uh, what is it, 1:09:59 assume that we are better. Instead, we 1:10:03 should be certain—no, not just assume 1:10:06 , but clearly realize how great our own 1:10:08 flaws are and what their impact is on 1:10:11 us. Wow. Well, that’s it. Now, for 1:10:14 the second point, uh, what is it, Habib 1:10:16 ? Ah, if someone already has that 1:10:20 feeling in their heart, it will surely 1:10:23 reflect in their actions and their way 1:10:25 of speaking. There won’t be any 1:10:29 feeling of being condescending to 1:10:31 others. Because their true intention, 1:10:34 what do you call it, is not to preach, 1:10:37 not to be a teacher— "I am the 1:10:39 teacher, you are the student"—no. 1:10:43 Their intention is to provide goodness. 1:10:45 Providing goodness. Isn't that amazing? 1:10:49 Yes, Habib. What is it? Among the ways 1:10:52 of the "Arifin Billah"(those who know 1:10:56 Allah) when they preach, they say, "Ya 1:10:59 asyaghir yagulu sayidunal kibar.""O my 1:11:03 masters,""...the small one, truly our 1:11:09 great master has conveyed to us such 1:11:11 and such verses or hadiths." 1:11:14 So, those before them are all 1:11:16 considered masters. 1:11:17 Yes. 1:11:18 You are all masters. But don't forget, 1:11:20 we also have a greater Master: 1:11:22 Allah Ta'ala. The Prophet, peace be 1:11:23 upon him. 1:11:25 The scholars have used this approach in 1:11:27 their preaching, viewing those before 1:11:30 them as their masters, 1:11:32 people greater than themselves. 1:11:33 Yes. 1:11:34 MasyaAllah. 1:11:35 And that, actually, cannot be forced, 1:11:37 Habib. It cannot be forced. It truly 1:11:39 arises from the heart. When the heart 1:11:41 is truly humble, it will be reflected 1:11:43 in the pattern of their communication. 1:11:45 Yes. 1:11:46 But if the heart is already arrogant, 1:11:48 even if they act humble, it can be read 1:11:51 from— 1:11:51 No.—from their way of talking, and 1:11:54 even their gestures. So, the heart must 1:11:57 be fixed first before the method of 1:11:58 delivery. 1:11:59 From a sincere heart, it will be 1:12:01 reflected. This person isn't being 1:12:03 condescending. 1:12:04 That’s why the hadith says, "Al-yadu 1:12:07 al-ulya khairun min al-yadi as-sufla." 1:12:10 The upper hand is better than the lower 1:12:11 hand. Meaning, giving is better than 1:12:13 asking. The pious scholars, even when 1:12:17 they want to give, 1:12:19 Yeah. ...they are afraid of feeling 1:12:22 that they are better than others. 1:12:23 Yeah. 1:12:24 So, how do they give? Like this? Not by 1:12:27 saying, "Here, take this." No. They 1:12:29 position their hand from below. 1:12:31 Yeah. Giving from below. 1:12:33 That’s what they say. 1:12:34 So they are the ones who take from 1:12:35 above. 1:12:36 Masyaallah. 1:12:37 So they still are the ones taking. 1:12:39 Out of pure humility. 1:12:40 Because of their humility, they are 1:12:42 nobler. 1:12:42 Yes. Even though, essentially, you 1:12:44 don't really have to be above. 1:12:46 But because of the desire, "No, let's 1:12:48 put me below so they are above." 1:12:49 It goes that far. 1:12:51 Now, that is a reflection of the heart, 1:12:53 Habib. 1:12:53 Masyaallah. 1:12:55 Allah. Oh Allah. Well, the most 1:12:58 important thing is the intention first, 1:13:00 right, Habib? Be sincere. People will 1:13:03 feel it if our advice comes from the 1:13:06 heart, or they can distinguish between 1:13:09 advice where we truly want to change 1:13:12 someone, and advice where we want to 1:13:15 feel superior to others. 1:13:19 It will be easy to tell. And once again 1:13:22 , don't forget to frequently read 1:13:27 yourself, examine yourself. Because 1:13:30 they say the hardest book to read isn't 1:13:34 the Quran. 1:13:35 Oh. 1:13:35 The hardest book to read is our own 1:13:37 selves. 1:13:38 Kalam kabir jamil. (A beautiful, great 1:13:39 saying.) 1:13:40 It is easier for us to see others. 1:13:42 Easier to see other people's faults. It 1:13:44 is hard for us to see our own faults. 1:13:46 Lailahaillallah. Masyaallah. You are a 1:13:48 good friend. 1:13:49 Masyaallah. Shaw. 1:13:50 Masyaallah. Masyaallah. Look at 1:13:52 yourself first. Then, God willing, it 1:13:54 will be easy to influence others. From 1:13:57 Abdullah Depok. Masyaallah. Oh, from 1:14:00 Abdullah Depok. Thank you very much for 1:14:03 submitting your question. This one was 1:14:05 here earlier, Mr. Abdullah. "Sorry, God 1:14:07 willing, if there is time, I will ask a 1:14:08 question." This is from Mrs. Yayah. Is 1:14:11 it Ms. or Mr. Yayah? Assalamualaikum, 1:14:13 Habib. Oh, his name is Mr. Udin. "I am 1:14:16 Mr. Udin from Almahdi Mosque, asking a 1:14:19 question.""I don't quite understand."" 1:14:22 Which is correct: after we learn, do we 1:14:24 spread the word first, or do we 1:14:26 practice it first?""Thank you." 1:14:28 Greetings from Mr. Udin for the Habib. 1:14:31 Masyaallah. Assalamualaikum 1:14:32 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 1:14:34 Waalaikumsalam. 1:14:35 How is that, Habib? That's good, Habib. 1:14:36 A beautiful question. Uh, like this, 1:14:39 brothers. The answer is not about which 1:14:41 comes first. Indeed, all of it must be 1:14:43 done together, Habib. 1:14:44 Hmm. 1:14:45 So, uh, learning seeking knowledge, 1:14:49 practicing knowledge, and teaching it. 1:14:52 Those three are done at the same time. 1:14:55 Yes, exactly. So when we learn, at the 1:14:57 same time, whatever we know, we teach 1:14:59 immediately, and at the same time, 1:15:01 whatever we know, we practice 1:15:02 immediately. Hmm. So it is not about 1:15:05 having an order like practicing first 1:15:07 then teaching, or teaching first then 1:15:09 practicing. No. When you already have 1:15:10 the main capital, which is the 1:15:12 knowledge, 1:15:13 have the knowledge, and at the same 1:15:15 time, strive to practice it and strive 1:15:18 to teach it. If you haven't had the 1:15:20 chance to practice it, but there is an 1:15:22 opportunity to teach, then teach. If 1:15:24 you haven't had the chance to teach, 1:15:26 but there is an opportunity to practice 1:15:28 , then practice. If you have both, at 1:15:31 the same time, do both. And at the same 1:15:34 time, don't feel that your knowledge is 1:15:36 enough; at the same time, keep adding 1:15:38 to it. "Waqul rabbi zidni ilma"(And say 1:15:39 , "My Lord, increase me in knowledge"). 1:15:40 That is why, at the same time, one must 1:15:42 continue to increase in knowledge, 1:15:44 practice, and outreach (da'wah). 1:15:46 Now, if someone waits and says, "I 1:15:47 don't want to teach unless I have 1:15:49 practiced it." Oh, this is dangerous. 1:15:51 This is incredibly dangerous. If they 1:15:53 only teach when they have practiced, 1:15:55 then they are not a preacher, they are 1:15:57 just being fair to themselves. This is, 1:15:59 um, a sign of a proud person. "Wow, I 1:16:01 have practiced this, so I am worthy of 1:16:03 teaching it." Ah, that is actually 1:16:04 wrong. 1:16:04 That is precisely who is not worthy of 1:16:06 teaching. 1:16:06 Yes. Yes, that's right. The person who 1:16:08 is worthy of teaching is the one who 1:16:10 feels they are not yet perfect. That is 1:16:13 a form of perfection. 1:16:14 When one feels they are already perfect 1:16:16 , that is a shortcoming. But sometimes, 1:16:19 Habib, in our da'wah, we face obstacles 1:16:21 , like "Should I convey this?""Should I 1:16:23 say this?" If I convey it, 1:16:25 my relationship with them might turn 1:16:28 bad. 1:16:29 But if I don't convey it, 1:16:31 this is a trust. 1:16:33 Which one should we prioritize, Habib? 1:16:35 Relationships, 1:16:36 or the command to enjoin good and 1:16:37 forbid evil? 1:16:38 Ah, beautiful words. Masha Allah. You, 1:16:40 um, this certainly cannot be absolute; 1:16:43 it cannot be generalized. But look, the 1:16:46 main benchmark is the pleasure of Allah 1:16:49 . 1:16:49 Ah. 1:16:50 So, we seek where the pleasure of Allah 1:16:51 lies. Is it by conveying this directly, 1:16:55 or by using a different approach? 1:16:57 Um. 1:16:58 If I am worried they will be angry at 1:17:01 me, that would be dangerous. But at the 1:17:03 same time, I can convey this goodness 1:17:05 through a friend or relative to 1:17:07 communicate the results; can this be 1:17:10 done? 1:17:10 Or not? Now, the best way is to convey 1:17:13 it because that is what Allah Ta'ala 1:17:14 loves more. The point is, definitely 1:17:17 prioritize the pleasure of Allah 1:17:20 over the pleasure of His servants. 1:17:23 Oh. 1:17:25 In the hadith narrated by Sayyidah 1:17:26 Aisyah, "Whoever seeks the praise of 1:17:29 Allah over the praise of people..." 1:17:31 Whoever prioritizes the praise of Allah 1:17:33 over the praise of people, then Allah 1:17:35 Ta'ala will turn the criticism of 1:17:37 people into praise later on. Amazing. 1:17:40 That is extraordinary. And whoever puts 1:17:44 the praise of people before the praise 1:17:46 of Allah—meaning, for the sake of a 1:17:48 good relationship with humans—they 1:17:51 are willing to sacrifice their da'wah 1:17:53 or the sharia. 1:17:55 The praise they receive from people 1:17:57 will one day become a reproach for them 1:17:58 . Allah will turn against them. Wow, 1:18:01 that is extraordinary. Imam Haddad 1:18:03 mentioned in Al-Hikam: "Kaifa yakunu 1:18:06 minal mukminin man yuridur-ridhal 1:18:08 makhluq bi sakhatil 'alamin." How can a 1:18:11 believer seek the pleasure of the 1:18:13 creation by sacrificing the pleasure of 1:18:16 Allah, by incurring the wrath of Allah? 1:18:19 Oh Allah. 1:18:20 This contradicts their faith. 1:18:22 Oh Allah. 1:18:22 A believer seeks the pleasure of Allah, 1:18:24 even if it incurs the wrath of the 1:18:26 creation. 1:18:27 But if it's the other way around, 1:18:28 yes, 1:18:29 seeking the pleasure of the creation by 1:18:30 incurring the wrath of Allah, this 1:18:32 contradicts their faith. It means their 1:18:33 faith isn't right. There is something 1:18:35 wrong with their faith. Now, that is it 1:18:37 . And this is effective, highly 1:18:39 effective. For the sake of Allah's 1:18:41 pleasure, you sacrifice the pleasure of 1:18:43 people, even if they become angry at 1:18:44 you. Let it be. 1:18:46 Guaranteed. I guarantee it. Guaranteed. 1:18:49 Just try waiting for the right moment. 1:18:50 Those who are currently furious will 1:18:52 bow down to you. 1:18:53 Oh Allah. 1:18:54 You will certainly be honorable in 1:18:56 their eyes. Heh. 1:18:57 That's right, Habib. But if, for the 1:18:59 sake of glory in the eyes of others, 1:19:01 you do something that angers Allah 1:19:03 Ta'ala, even if you are honorable now, 1:19:06 it is guaranteed that before long you 1:19:08 will be humiliated in their eyes. 1:19:10 You will be enslaved by them. 1:19:12 Yes. 1:19:12 You will be completely humiliated by 1:19:15 them. Yes. A threat from Allah Ta'ala. 1:19:18 May Allah protect us. Be careful, 1:19:22 friends, to those who like to boast 1:19:26 about their sins to gain praise, pride, 1:19:30 or approval from 1:19:32 the people around you. May Allah 1:19:34 protect us all. May Allah protect us. 1:19:35 Because we are starting to see, Habib, 1:19:37 on social media, people committing sins 1:19:40 proudly, showing off that they are 1:19:42 rebellious, and so on. May Allah 1:19:43 protect us. May Allah protect us. Do 1:19:45 not let us sacrifice the pleasure of 1:19:48 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala just to seek 1:19:51 the pleasure of people. Make Allah 1:19:53 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala our ultimate goal. 1:19:55 Then there will be nothing left for us 1:19:57 to worry about. Insyaallah. Brothers 1:19:59 and sisters, thank you very much for 1:20:01 listening this far. Thank you very much 1:20:03 , Habib, for explaining and answering 1:20:05 the questions.
