5:09 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 5:10 , the Most Merciful. Peace, mercy, and 5:12 blessings of Allah be upon you, 5:14 brothers and sisters. Praise be to 5:17 Allah, we are gathered again for the 5:20 morning sermon with Ustaz Abul Hidayat 5:22 Siroji. How are you? Are you healthy? 5:26 Praise be to Allah. Hopefully, the 5:29 discussion in today's morning sermon 5:34 with Ustaz Abul Hidayat Siroji will 5:38 help guide our steps forward. God 5:43 willing, walking the path to heaven 5:45 will become much easier, God willing. 5:48 Let us not forget to send peace and 5:50 blessings to our beloved leader, 5:51 Muhammad the Messenger of Allah, may 5:53 peace and blessings be upon him. May we 5:56 receive his intercession and be 5:59 reunited with him at the moment we long 6:02 for in the hereafter. Brothers and 6:07 sisters, just before going on air, the 6:10 Ustaz said, "There are many 'don'ts' 6:12 that we must hold firmly to in our 6:15 life's journey." I asked, "Don't what? 6:18 Don't make vegetable soup, don't make 6:21 curry?" He said that's not it, Noning. 6:24 Okay. Okay. So what exactly is it? 6:27 Let's greet him. Peace, mercy, and 6:29 blessings of Allah be upon you. 6:31 >> Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be 6:33 upon you. 6:33 >> You're healthy, Ustaz, praise be to 6:34 Allah. 6:35 >> Praise be to Allah. God willing. Praise 6:36 be to Allah. 6:37 >> Back to the subject of "don'ts." What 6:39 is the exact title? 6:40 >> Yes. These past three weeks, we've 6:42 consecutively used the word "don't." 6:44 >> Yes. 6:44 >> Red jas. Don't forget history. 6:46 >> Hi-story. The following week, don't be 6:50 lazy to do dhikr and pray. 6:54 >> And for now. 6:54 >> Well, today: don't be wrong in managing 6:59 wealth. 7:01 >> Don't be wrong in managing wealth. 7:04 Mashallah. This is really needed for 7:06 those who have a lot of wealth. Okay, 7:08 please proceed, Ustaz. 7:09 >> Yes. Alright, praise be to Allah. In 7:11 the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, 7:12 the Most Merciful. Peace, mercy, and 7:14 blessings of Allah be upon you. Peace, 7:17 mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon 7:19 you. 7:19 >> Praise be to Allah who created death 7:22 and life to test which of you is best 7:25 in deed. I bear witness that there is 7:30 no god but Allah, alone without partner 7:32 , and I bear witness that Muhammad is 7:34 His servant and messenger, no prophet 7:36 after him. O Allah, send peace and 7:40 blessings upon our prophet Muhammad, 7:42 his family, his companions, and those 7:44 who follow them in goodness until the 7:47 Day of Judgment. What Allah wills 7:50 happens, and what He does not will does 7:52 not happen; there is no power nor 7:54 strength except with Allah. O brothers, 8:01 may Allah have mercy on you. Praise be 8:04 to Allah, we are grateful to Allah for 8:07 the infinite blessings every moment in 8:14 this life, a pouring overflow of 8:16 infinite blessings. It's just that 8:22 sometimes, because we are surrounded by 8:24 blessings every day, we forget them. We 8:29 feel how great the blessing of health 8:32 is when we are sick. We feel how great 8:38 the blessing of being able to see and 8:42 hear is when our eyes and ears have 8:45 problems. But in a healthy situation, 8:52 in a normal situation, sometimes it is 8:55 taken for granted. Therefore, let us 9:01 always express gratitude to Allah by 9:04 often saying the hamdalah, 9:08 >> alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah. We are 9:11 taught this upon waking up. What we 9:14 recite is alhamdulillah. Why? Praise be 9:17 to Him who revived us after causing us 9:19 to die and to Him is the resurrection. 9:21 Because that morning, we were brought 9:22 to life from death. After eating, we 9:25 recite alhamdulillah, and so on. As I 9:30 have said many times, behind the 9:31 sentence of hamdalah, it actually 9:33 reminds us. Virtues, goodness, nobility 9:39 , wealth, and blessings all belong to 9:42 Allah. God bestows upon His servants. 9:47 If that is the case, everything we wear 9:51 , we own, we possess, everything that 9:53 makes us great, is merely a trust. For 9:58 which we will be held accountable for 10:00 the consequences. So use those abundant 10:06 blessings from God to draw closer to 10:11 Him, to worship, to do good, and so on. 10:18 >> Only then will you receive the value of 10:20 God's love and have your blessings 10:21 increased. If you are grateful, I will 10:25 surely increase you, but if you deny, 10:27 My punishment is severe. This is a 10:29 popular verse. So it is up to us how we 10:35 want to live and what we choose. God 10:39 has spread His extraordinary love and 10:42 grace, the blessings depend on how we 10:48 make use of them. Placing ourselves 10:51 amidst these blessings. But do not let 10:58 them be momentary, leading to a 11:00 momentary life. Therefore, behind the 11:07 phrase 'hamdalah' should emerge a 11:09 self-awareness. Self-reflection. 11:12 Self-awareness. Oh, if that is so, my 11:16 God, I must be grateful for the immense 11:19 outpouring of blessings from God, which 11:22 also reminds us: if those blessings 11:24 were taken away, what would we have 11:27 left? It means we actually possess 11:31 nothing. Do not be arrogant, do not be 11:34 pompous, do not be boastful. We have 11:37 nothing. What do we truly own? We were 11:41 born with nothing, we owned nothing, 11:44 and we knew nothing. Then God bestowed 11:51 blessings, everything was given to us. 11:56 Now, we must realize this that it is 12:02 only right for us, as servants before 12:05 God, who have been facilitated by Him 12:08 in every aspect of life and living. It 12:12 is only natural that we, as servants, 12:15 should be grateful to the One who gave. 12:18 Indeed. If we look at the verse, "And 12:21 God brought you out of your mothers ' 12:23 wombs." Not knowing anything, and He 12:29 gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, 12:31 that you might be grateful. God is the 12:35 one who brought you out of your 12:37 mother's womb. Just imagine, if it 12:38 weren't for Him, could your mother 12:40 deliver that child? Simply trying isn't 12:43 enough. Even with surgery, it wouldn't 12:46 be possible. If God doesn't will it, 12:48 there will always be obstacles. In a 12:53 state of knowing nothing, able to do 12:55 nothing, and carrying nothing. Just 12:58 think, what is our initial capital? 13:03 >> Then God gave the first blessing, 13:07 hearing. The first sense that functions 13:10 in a baby is hearing. That is why they 13:12 know their mother's voice so well. Heh 13:14 heh. 13:15 >> They can even hear their mother's 13:17 breathing. That's why when they hear 13:19 their mother's voice, the baby calms 13:21 down. Only then comes sight. Sight also 13:27 develops in stages. From near, to 13:30 further, further, and further away. 13:35 Especially when it comes to seeing 13:36 money, they are the most alert. And 13:39 intellect, conscience, and intelligence 13:45 . With these three assets, we are able 13:51 to play a role, be active, achieve, and 13:55 be great. The world was transformed 14:00 from a dark age, a primitive age, and 14:03 all sorts of other times. Until now, in 14:07 a high-tech life, where the distant 14:10 becomes near, and the difficult becomes 14:15 easy. All these conveniences are not 14:18 separate from the grace of that initial 14:21 capital. Being able to build aircraft, 14:30 fast and sophisticated planes. Our legs 14:34 were not created as strong as a horse's 14:35 . But with our brains, our intelligence 14:39 , and our reason, we are able to create 14:41 transport far exceeding a horse's speed 14:44 . We have no gills, no wings, but with 14:49 our reason and intelligence, we are 14:51 able to create airplanes. Yes, not just 14:55 any planes, but planes with speeds 14:57 exceeding the speed of sound. We cannot 15:02 swim, we have no fins to use in the sea 15:04 , but we are capable of traversing the 15:07 vast oceans. This is the conclusion of 15:13 the verse "laallakum taskurun," so that 15:15 you may be grateful. So if a conclusion 15:20 can be drawn, essentially life with all 15:22 its blessings is about gratitude. 15:24 >> Yeah. Human beings are noble because of 15:26 gratitude. The height of one's degree 15:30 and dignity depends on how much 15:32 gratitude one shows to Allah. It is 15:37 within that gratitude that various 15:39 kinds of goodness are born: kind words, 15:41 kind thoughts, kind behavior, and doing 15:43 good deeds because of gratitude. So the 15:48 point is, the blessings Allah bestows 15:50 upon us are capital for us to become 15:53 servants who are always grateful, not 15:57 arrogant. If so, then what? If one is 16:02 successful, surely that is a gift from 16:04 Allah. And the gift that Allah provides 16:11 has meaning and consequences. It 16:15 shouldn't be used to feel great, acting 16:18 pompously or showing off. It should be 16:22 used for the greater good. The higher 16:26 the rank, the more humble the soul, and 16:28 the gentler one becomes toward those 16:30 they lead. The richer one gets, the 16:33 more generous they should be, and the 16:35 more useful they should become to the 16:36 community. That is truly the meaning of 16:40 life. That is why the verse in Surah 16:43 Al-Mulk is often used as an 16:46 introduction: "Alladzi khalaqal mauta 16:49 wal hayata liyabluakum ayyukum ahsanu 16:52 amala." Allah created life and death. 16:56 Meaning, in the opportunity given to us 16:58 in this world, we live and then we die. 17:00 The core of it? Who has the best deeds. 17:05 >> How do we achieve the status of a human 17:07 being who is noble in the sight of 17:09 Allah? The achievement is noble deeds, 17:12 their good works. And as often stated 17:20 here, the parameters of a good person 17:23 or a religious person of quality have 17:26 two dimensions, sir. Vertically, the 17:30 relationship with Allah. This is the 17:34 essence: faith, that is tawhid. How far 17:38 they know Allah, how much they remember 17:42 Allah, how grateful they are to Allah, 17:45 how obedient they are to Allah, how 17:48 patient they are for Allah, how they 17:51 always think positively of Allah and 17:54 never have negative assumptions, and so 17:57 on. That is the first parameter. The 18:01 first one. Now, the second one cannot 18:06 be separated from the first. The second 18:08 parameter is "hablum minannas," our 18:10 relationship with others. 18:12 >> Because we live as social beings, we 18:14 cannot live alone, we need other people 18:19 . Every moment we are interacting. It 18:23 is precisely when we interact that 18:26 Allah evaluates our style, our attitude 18:30 , our speech, and our deeds. That is 18:35 what religion is measured by. Good 18:38 belief gives birth to noble character. 18:41 Noble character is based on good belief 18:44 , good tawhid. These two dimensions 18:48 cannot be separated if one is to be 18:49 good. It’s not about what people say, 18:52 it’s not about public opinion, no. It 18:55 is not merely about goodness due to 18:56 achievements. Achievement is just a 18:59 small part of the fruits of religious 19:02 virtue. Therefore, it is from this 19:09 sense of gratitude that goodness is 19:13 born. And Allah has promised, "la-in 19:15 shakartum la-azidannakum." If you are 19:18 grateful, I will surely increase your 19:20 blessings. Isn't that extraordinary? 19:23 This is Allah’s promise. Not the 19:26 promises of those who like to make 19:30 empty promises. Not just a promise, 19:33 Allah adds to it in this world, just 19:36 imagine. Let alone in the hereafter, 19:40 which is infinite; the world is 19:42 temporary, the hereafter is eternal. 19:47 Just think, isn't that extraordinary? 19:53 Conversely, "wa-la-in kafartum inna' 19:55 adhabi lashadid." But if you are 19:58 ungrateful, Allah has warned you 20:00 beforehand. Long before the torment 20:04 arrives, before one is punished, 20:06 Allah's punishment is very severe. They 20:10 were warned, yet they remain reckless. 20:15 Already knowing it is forbidden, 20:17 already knowing Allah dislikes it. Wow, 20:19 they act so defiantly. Even a toothache 20:23 makes you writhe in pain. This is 20:26 challenging Allah's torment with an 20:28 attitude of disbelief. Now, this is the 20:31 importance of truly internalizing 20:32 religion, so that in our religious life 20:36 , our souls are dyed, 20:39 >> immersed. That is why it is different, 20:43 "la yastawi," between the people of 20:46 paradise and the people of hell. The 20:51 people of paradise and hell are 20:52 different. Because the people of 20:55 paradise are immersed in faith. The dye 20:59 of faith colors their attitudes and 21:02 behaviors. 21:03 >> Masyaallah. 21:04 >> Their souls are colored. They 21:07 understand, they truly comprehend. As 21:12 the Javanese say, understanding the 21:14 origin and destination of existence. 21:17 Where they come from. Then, in the 21:22 present, what they must do, and where 21:25 the ultimate ending of their life is. " 21:32 Makrifatu gayatil wujud," they 21:33 understand it. So, they know the 21:37 essence and meaning of this life. And 21:43 with this, they view life not just with 21:45 physical eyes, but with the heart's eye 21:49 , and higher still, the eye of faith. 21:53 >> Masyaallah. 21:55 >> Which is able to penetrate the riddles 21:58 and signals of life that are sometimes 22:01 mysterious, so they can see the wisdom 22:06 behind every event. So for a believer, 22:13 the Prophet Muhammad expressed wonder 22:17 at them. Why? Because when a believer 22:22 is given ease or blessings, their 22:25 goodness multiplies. 22:29 >> Their gratitude is blessed, increasing 22:31 their bounty, increasing their goodness 22:33 , and so much more. So they have 22:36 already enjoyed those rewards in this 22:38 world. Their life is happy, they have 22:42 plenty, and then they are given what? 22:48 Pleasure, happiness, and so on. Their 22:52 rewards abound, their status rises, and 22:57 so on. And if they are given hardship 23:02 or tests, they are patient. Why are 23:06 they patient? Because they see with the 23:08 heart's eye, with the eye of faith. 23:10 First, Allah will not mistreat His 23:12 servant. It means Allah has another 23:15 intention. They realize it is a test, 23:20 and they know that after a test comes 23:24 an increase in quality and 23:29 >> their level of status. There is no 23:32 advancement without passing through 23:34 tests. I don't know if the independent 23:38 curriculum has an education system like 23:41 that. Basically, all students must pass 23:43 , it is not allowed to fail. What kind 23:45 of model is this? You're not allowed to 23:50 scold or reprimand students, just give 23:54 students freedom so they are 23:55 independent. This is just teaching 23:58 liberalism. No human being should just 24:00 be free to do whatever. Why let humans 24:03 just act however they please. There are 24:05 desires, there are all sorts of things. 24:06 The world will be ruined, there must be 24:08 rules, there must be laws, there must 24:12 be institutions that define what is 24:16 allowed and what is not, and the 24:19 ability to control oneself. That is why 24:22 religion was revealed so we can sort 24:24 and choose what is right and what is 24:26 wrong. That is why there is the command 24:28 to enjoin good and forbid evil. It’s 24:31 not just about everything being free. 24:34 If the independent curriculum education 24:36 model just gives students the freedom 24:39 to do as they please, it means planting 24:41 liberal thoughts. If it's liberal, it 24:47 can be free; eventually, free 24:49 associations, free thinking, free from 24:52 religion. Oh, well that’s just the 24:55 PKI then. Now, I might have heard 25:00 yesterday there are changes for 2027 25:04 there’s no such thing as failing a 25:06 grade, no struggle, no fight, there is 25:13 none. 25:14 >> Yes. 25:15 >> In order to move up a grade, one must 25:17 struggle with effort. Now, this is 25:20 correct. Preparing oneself to move up, 25:24 preparing to compete in positive 25:26 competition. There shouldn’t be this 25:31 freedom where kids don't have rules to 25:33 follow. Now, that’s the good part. 25:37 Hopefully in the future, from the 25:40 evaluation results—I am sure the 25:42 pedagogical experts, the education 25:45 experts—might see this; no wonder if 25:48 all this time kids have been rude or 25:51 not respectful to teachers. Because of 25:55 what? Because if the teacher pees 25:58 standing up, the student pees running. 26:04 There must be institutional rules, 26:06 there must be regulations, there must 26:08 be laws, there must be set boundaries. 26:18 Fellow Muslims, my brothers, may Allah 26:19 have mercy on you. Brothers, this 26:22 morning I want to deliver one topic: do 26:29 not mismanage your wealth. 26:36 >> Is this only for wealthy people? No. 26:40 Wealth is something given to people, 26:42 even if not much, it still must be 26:43 managed. I will read from chapter 7 of 26:49 the book "Walking the Path to Heaven." 26:52 How we manage wealth is the main title. 26:58 It starts with one verse, quoting a 27:01 verse from Surah Ali Imran verse 14, 27:03 which says, "I seek refuge in Allah 27:06 from the accursed Satan."(Recitation of 27:19 the Quranic verse) This is complete, 27:34 even though it is one verse, but at the 27:36 same time 27:36 >> yes 27:39 >> as a reminder, providing motivation and 27:43 also life orientation; it means it is 27:47 made beautiful in the eyes of humans 27:55 the love for the opposite sex namely 28:01 women, what is it? Love, tendencies 28:04 toward passions or desires, namely the 28:11 tendency of love, fondness for women, 28:17 children. Then wealth that is abundant 28:24 in the form of gold and silver, horses, 28:27 chosen vehicles, livestock, and 28:33 farmland. I think this is indeed a 28:37 human tendency. 28:39 >> So, "hubbus syahwati minanisa" doesn't 28:43 just mean men toward women. Women are 28:46 also pleased, right? Tending toward men 28:50 and "wal banin," offspring. Children 28:54 are what we call the apple of our eye, 28:58 our dearest treasure. They are the 29:02 light of our eyes and the gems of our 29:04 soul. Parents are willing to sacrifice, 29:07 struggle, and suffer for their 29:09 children's happiness. They would rather 29:12 go hungry so their children can be full 29:13 . They endure hardship so their 29:17 children can be happy, and so on; that 29:19 is the nature of their deep love and 29:21 devotion. And great wealth. Who doesn't 29:25 desire a great fortune? 29:28 >> That’s why even those with plenty 29:30 still want more. Even if it could last 29:33 seven lifetimes, they are still 29:35 stealing and picking pockets. 29:37 >> Astagfirullah. 29:38 >> Well, these are indeed the insatiable 29:41 traits of humanity. Even if they only 29:43 have three years left to live, they 29:45 still accumulate wealth for seven 29:46 generations. And if they commit 29:49 corruption for billions or trillions, 29:51 then what for? To what end? It means 29:56 their reasoning isn't quite right. They 30:00 don't understand. They don't understand 30:02 the meaning of life. They are clueless. 30:05 They are carried away by their own 30:06 fantasies. It turns out their fantasies 30:08 are longer than their own lifespan. 30:11 Eventually, they get caught by the 30:13 authorities and end up in prison. Then 30:16 what was the point of the stolen money? 30:19 Even if the prison is luxurious, being 30:22 locked up is still unpleasant. Great 30:27 wealth in gold and silver. Then horses, 30:31 the finest breeds. In the old days, 30:35 during the kingdom era, before cars 30:37 existed. If you were a palace official, 30:41 your horse had to be a thoroughbred. A 30:45 strong horse, with shiny, smooth fur. 30:49 Clip-clop, clip-clop. Their arrival was 30:53 a source of pride. Now, it's not horses 30:56 anymore. The horses don't have to... 31:00 They don't eat grass anymore. Now, 31:03 their horses are Mercedes, or those 31:06 other ones, the ones that cost billions 31:09 . Not the common man's vehicle, no, but 31:17 luxury ones costing M—not diarrhea, 31:21 but M for billions—2 billion, 3 31:24 billion, 4 billion, and so on. This is 31:29 indeed human tendency, then...*Wal 31:36 khairil musawamati wal an'ami wal hars* 31:39 . Livestock, farmland, crops, 31:42 masyaAllah. Having a 5,000-hectare palm 31:46 oil plantation. Having vast rice fields 31:51 , or being very happy to own thousands 31:55 of cattle. But then Allah says, *dalika 32:01 mataul hayatid dunya*. This is a 32:05 warning from Allah, the All-Knowing. 32:07 >> Given as a reminder. The point is that 32:13 such things are*mataul hayatid dunya*. 32:18 *Mata*refers to transient, superficial 32:19 pleasures. They are... 32:24 >> Not ultimate truths, but relative and 32:28 limited things. *Dalika mataul hayatid 32:32 dunya*. Things like those are just 32:36 passing, relative, and superficial 32:39 pleasures. Allah has already warned us. 32:43 Even though those are the pleasures 32:46 that humans crave so intensely. Now we 32:49 see the world's chaos because humans 32:51 are fighting over all of that. 32:53 >> Yeah. 32:55 >> They want to monopolize, they want the 32:58 most, they want and want, which leads 33:01 to conflict and friction. It even 33:05 results in sadistic things like wars, 33:08 killing each other, and so on. Even on 33:14 a small scale, people fight over 33:16 inheritance, causing divisions and 33:18 broken families. 33:21 >> Forgetting kin, forgetting neighbors, 33:23 forgetting relatives. 33:25 >> When it comes to matters like those 33:28 mentioned, Allah says "that is the 33:30 enjoyment of worldly life." Well, here 33:34 is one. Then Allah gives this direction 33:37 , this news from Allah. Wallahu indahu 33:41 husnul maab. Perhaps in simple human 33:48 terms, it's a reminder. As the elders 33:52 say, there is something far better, a 33:59 joy that is not fleeting, not temporary 34:04 , not relative, but a true, ultimate 34:08 joy, a far better place to return to in 34:15 the presence of Allah, Lord of the 34:18 worlds, the Ruler of all existence who 34:21 possesses everything. There is a 34:24 storehouse of the best places there. Oh 34:30 Allah, this verse is extraordinary. 34:31 Wallahu indahu husnul maab. In the 34:36 presence of Allah, there is a place to 34:38 return to that is far better than all 34:40 of that. So what is the meaning of the 34:43 verse? The explanation is in this book. 34:48 This verse explains that human nature 34:51 tends to love worldly pleasures, 34:56 >> such as women. Yes, who is the man that 35:01 doesn't like women? If there’s a man 35:06 who doesn't like women, then you have 35:08 to ask, is this even a man? Or perhaps 35:11 he isn't interested in women, but is 35:14 interested in men. Well, that’s a 35:16 different story; even goats are smarter 35:17 . Goats know that they should like 35:20 females. Conversely, women also like 35:25 men. Children are the apple of one’s 35:29 eye, that is a child. Oh Allah, when it 35:31 comes to children, it is truly amazing. 35:34 That is why marketing people know 35:37 exactly how to approach their target 35:40 audience. Don't offer the goods 35:43 immediately. Talk first, "How many 35:46 children do you have, sir?" Wow. He’s 35:50 very proud if he has children. "My 35:52 first child is a doctor.""Then the 35:55 second, thank God, is an officer in the 35:57 Army.""Then this one is a lecturer."" 36:00 Wow, three children and all of them are 36:02 successful." Oh, he’s very happy. " 36:06 That's great, sir, your children are 36:08 successful and so on." He’s selling, 36:11 and the other person is buying. Now, 36:14 because children are the apple of one's 36:16 eye, along with much wealth and so on. 36:22 If this happens, the tendency is normal 36:26 and very human. Eh, what does that mean 36:31 ? It's allowed. Don't you like women? 36:34 Well, you can. Don't you like children? 36:37 Well, naturally. Liking wealth, liking 36:40 all kinds of things is fine. It is 36:43 human; Allah created that tendency. 36:45 It’s a lie if someone says they don't 36:47 like money. The only problem is how to 36:55 manage that tendency and place that 36:57 enjoyment in its proper place. This is 37:00 what often becomes a problem in life. 37:04 That’s why the title is "Don't 37:06 Mismanage Wealth." But what we must pay 37:12 serious attention to, what we must 37:16 really heed, is the phrase in the verse 37:21 that says "dzalika mataul hayatid dunya 37:25 ." H 37:27 >> In that sentence of notification from 37:29 Allah, the Most High, who created the 37:31 universe and knows exactly everything. 37:38 The things that are so craved and loved 37:40 turn out to be no more than a fleeting 37:45 and temporary pleasure. Neither 37:49 permanent nor eternal. Today you laugh, 37:53 tomorrow you cry. sadness, but sadness 37:58 does not last forever. Exactly like the 38:02 natural laws of God. Life is a cycle of 38:08 night and day. Today the day is bright, 38:12 but it will not stay bright forever. 38:15 Eventually, the time will come for it 38:17 to turn into night. Becoming dark. The 38:20 darkness doesn't last forever either. 38:22 tomorrow the sun will inevitably rise 38:25 again in the morning. In life, the 38:29 journey sometimes goes up and sometimes 38:31 goes down. There is no road that only 38:33 goes uphill. 38:34 >> There is no road that only goes 38:36 downhill. So the wise say, "Do not cry 38:39 when you are climbing the mountain. 38:43 Because the end of the climb is surely 38:45 a descent. Do not laugh uncontrollably 38:48 and forget yourself when heading down. 38:51 Because the end of the descent is 38:53 surely a climb." That is life. It 38:58 changes. It keeps alternating. Why? 39:01 Because the world is indeed a test. So 39:04 Allah confirms in another verse, "Every 39:07 soul shall taste death." No matter how 39:12 great or smart a human is, even 39:14 everything that lives, every living 39:19 thing will surely experience death. 39:24 This means God’s decree reminds us of 39:26 our limitations. Life is bounded by 39:30 limitations. There is a time for it. 39:36 Use your time as best as you can, it 39:38 will not last forever. The time is very 39:42 short. 60 years is short, 70 years is 39:46 short. Compared to the afterlife, 39:50 especially since one day in the 39:51 afterlife is 1,000 years in the world. 39:53 If our life is 100 years, that is only 39:56 1/10th of a day. If a day is 24 hours, 40:00 then 1/10th is 2.4 hours. That is if 40:05 you live 100 years. If only 60 years, 40:08 perhaps about 2 hours. Those 2 hours 40:12 are almost half spent just on schooling 40:14 . From when children are 6 years old 40:20 entering school. 40:21 >> Hey. 40:22 >> 12 to finish elementary, middle, and 40:25 high school, plus 6 is 18, 4 years of 40:29 college is 22. Hey. 40:32 >> Want a master's degree? Add another 2 40:34 years, that's 24. 40:36 >> Want a doctorate? Add another 3 years. 40:40 Almost half of your life is spent on 40:42 schooling. After that, you work, 40:45 leaving in the morning, back in the 40:47 evening, morning, evening, morning, 40:49 evening, incredibly busy. Suddenly you 40:53 are old. Oh, good God. Then what? Just 40:58 a moment. Well, what will be asked is, 41:01 what is your work, your deeds, what are 41:03 your good deeds? Time has run out. So 41:07 the Quran reminds us, "By the time, 41:10 indeed mankind is in loss."" 41:13 >> Except for those who believe and do 41:15 righteous deeds." The Quran is complete 41:18 , maashaAllah, giving us guidance; it 41:20 would be excessive if we ignore it. We 41:24 go too far and end up regretting it 41:26 ourselves. So, the things mentioned 41:34 earlier as worldly, worldly pleasures, 41:37 the opposite sex, children as pride, 41:42 love for abundant wealth like gold and 41:45 silver, luxury vehicles, rice fields, 41:48 farms, livestock, and so on are things 41:51 that are highly coveted and loved. It 41:56 turns out they are no more than a 42:00 fleeting and temporary pleasure, not 42:03 permanent, and not eternal. If you hold 42:08 them wrongly, or view them wrongly, you 42:10 could endanger yourself, like holding a 42:13 double-edged sword. 42:15 >> It must be managed because time is 42:18 short. What if we succeed in becoming 42:21 great people? Use that, because what 42:25 will be asked for is the product. You 42:29 strive to become rich, to become a 42:31 great person. Where is your product? 42:36 Where is the product? Where are your 42:39 good deeds, your charity? Where is your 42:40 worship? Where is it? Especially when 42:47 given the ease of a good education and 42:49 finding a job. Not that they look for 42:51 work, but the work looks for them 42:53 because of their greatness. Then all 42:55 kinds of salaries and various 42:56 facilities. But where is the product? 42:59 What are the deeds? Because humans are 43:02 not judged by their physical appearance 43:04 , their grandeur, but by their products 43:07 and deeds. 43:09 >> Masyaallah. Otherwise, we are lost as 43:12 the verse says, except for those who 43:14 believe and do righteous deeds. So, the 43:18 quality of a human is determined by 43:20 their faith and righteous deeds. There 43:29 are many examples of how people become 43:32 disgraced and ruined because of wealth. 43:36 See, some people become disgraced 43:38 because of wealth. An official is 43:40 respected, but once they commit 43:42 corruption, they are abused, insulted, 43:45 and so on. When they are an official, 43:49 yes, everyone admires and respects them 43:50 . But once they retire, because of 43:52 their behavior, forget asking about 43:55 them; they are not even met. Cursed by 44:00 many people. Masyaallah. Then with 44:05 gentleness and love, Allah shows and 44:08 guides us so humans are not deceived by 44:12 temporary pleasures and do not become 44:15 slaves to lust or hunger. Then look far 44:22 ahead to the true, eternal, and 44:26 everlasting pleasure, which is what is 44:29 with Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Rewards 44:34 and heaven that are eternal and 44:36 everlasting. 44:38 >> The world is temporary, the afterlife 44:39 is forever. That is where we should 44:45 direct and control wealth so we obtain 44:50 true eternal happiness with Allah 44:54 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Clearly. So it is 44:59 not that we are not allowed to be rich. 45:02 In fact, we are commanded by Allah to 45:04 strive. If you are rich, you can pay 45:08 zakat, go on Hajj, and help the poor; 45:10 that is commanded. Allah even grants 45:15 glory to His servants who want to 45:16 strive to make a living. Earning a 45:22 living for a husband, a father, is the 45:24 same in quality and reward as jihad 45:29 fisabilillah. His sweat, dust, fatigue, 45:32 and weariness wash away sins. That is 45:35 how great it is. And what is given to 45:39 his family and children is not just a 45:42 gift, but calculated as charity. That 45:47 is extraordinary. So, the heroism of a 45:50 husband providing for his family is an 45:52 extraordinary obligation. His sitting, 45:55 fatigue, and exhaustion are all not in 45:57 vain. That is why the Prophet once 46:04 shook hands with a hard worker. His 46:08 hands were calloused. Those callouses, 46:11 not from oils, but thick skin. 46:14 Calloused hands. By the Prophet. 46:18 Masyaallah, he kissed those rough hands 46:21 of a hard worker. 46:24 >> Masyaallah. 46:24 >> Masyaallah. The Prophet himself, these 46:27 are blessed hands. Hands that, 46:29 masyaallah, Allah loves very much in 46:31 His servants. So in Islam, it does not 46:33 mean being lazy and not wanting to deal 46:35 with the world. It's not wrong, just a 46:38 matter of placement, the best 46:40 management so it can bring blessings in 46:42 this world as well as salvation in the 46:44 hereafter. Yes. 46:50 >> Wealth serves as a pillar to elevate 46:53 our dignity, prestige, and honor as 46:57 human beings. That is what it means. So 47:01 , it's not that religion is forbidden. 47:02 Often, sermons only talk about heaven 47:05 and hell. Well, heaven and hell are 47:07 clear; if you don't want to enter 47:08 heaven, then you enter hell. Do you 47:10 want to or do you not? Now, therefore, 47:14 do not mismanage your wealth. Feel free 47:17 to be rich, but use that wealth for 47:20 good. Good for yourself, your family, 47:23 your children, your grandchildren. 47:26 Because every time you do good, help 47:29 orphans, support a cause, social 47:32 welfare, and so on, in essence, it is 47:36 actually for yourself. Because it means 47:43 you are planting goodness. If you plant 47:48 goodness, the harvest is for yourself. 47:50 Who? Whoever plants shall reap. Sow the 47:56 wind, reap the whirlwind. It doesn't 47:59 mean a positive storm, you know. Not a 48:02 destructive storm. Who plants? Harvests 48:06 . If you want to harvest, to reap, you 48:10 must plant. But planting is hard work, 48:15 Sir. It's tiring, you have to do this, 48:16 you have to do that. I wish I didn't 48:18 have to plant but could still harvest, 48:20 didn't have to sow but could still reap 48:22 . What kind of person does that? A 48:25 thief, no need to plant, no need to 48:29 toil. Suddenly, a thief or a robber 48:31 gets a lot. 48:32 >> Astaghfirullah. 48:33 >> Their intentions are already wrong. 48:37 People who do good deeds, planting, 48:39 it's not just the results they will 48:42 obtain. Their hard work is valued by 48:44 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Their 48:47 exhaustion, their sweat, and so on. 48:51 Therefore, the Quran provides direction 48:53 . In the study of faith (aqidah), it is 48:58 mentioned that those who know Allah, 49:00 who have faith in Allah, have three 49:02 areas of urgency. The importance of 49:06 knowing Allah. First, knowing the 49:08 purpose of existence. Understanding 49:12 >> where the final destination of life's 49:15 true purpose lies. Now, this is very 49:19 important to study so we understand 49:20 where we are going. It's like someone 49:22 who wants to travel, they must know the 49:23 address they are heading to. Where the 49:29 house is, what street, what number, 49:31 which neighborhood, which district, 49:33 what village, what sub-district, what 49:35 province, and how to get there. They 49:39 must also know. Take a bus, take a 49:41 plane, take a train. It's different 49:43 from someone who doesn't understand. 49:46 Their steps are clear, aimed directly 49:50 at the target of life. Now, many people 49:53 don't understand, like a traveler with 49:58 no destination. That's called wandering 50:01 around, aimlessly drifting. They see 50:05 some flowers, they stop and hang out 50:07 there. Later when it's crowded, they 50:09 stop again. They never arrive because 50:11 they don't know the goal. If it were a 50:14 ship, a ship sailing the ocean without 50:17 a compass, without a rudder. How will 50:23 it be tossed by the currents and waves 50:25 of life? 50:28 >> It won't reach its hopes. Maybe it 50:31 sinks to the bottom of the ocean, dead 50:36 and of no use, miserable, full of 50:38 regret. So we must know where the 50:41 direction of life leads. Well, Allah 50:43 Himself directly provides the direction 50:47 in Surah Al-Qasas verse 77, Allah says, 50:50 "Wabtaghi fima atakallahu daral-akhirah 50:54 wala tansa nasibaka minad-dunya.""Wa 50:59 ahsin kama ahsanallahu ilaika wala 51:02 tabghil-fasada fil-ard.""Innallaha la 51:05 yuhibbul-mufsidin." Al-Qasas verse 77 51:14 which means attain, seek, and strive to 51:18 gain what Allah has already prepared 51:23 for you, for all of us. What is it? 51:27 Daral-akhirah. The eternal and 51:30 everlasting abode of the Hereafter 51:34 forevermore. This ultimate happiness is 51:39 what Allah has told us about. That is 51:45 the direction, the destination. It is 51:49 not merely forgetting the world for the 51:50 sake of the Hereafter. No. Yeah. 51:52 >> So next, "wala tansa nasibaka 51:55 minad-dunya." Do not forget your share 51:57 in this world. Meaning, please enjoy 52:01 the world as well. Indeed, the world is 52:04 for believers to enjoy. It is just that 52:07 there are rules. There are parameters, 52:14 there are guidelines. The guidelines 52:19 and rules are religion. Please enjoy 52:22 being a great wealthy person. Go ahead. 52:26 Whatever you attain, please. But wealth 52:31 also requires a wealthy soul. Don't be 52:37 wealthy in assets but poor in soul; 52:39 stingy, miserly, not understanding the 52:41 rules, then arrogant, stingy, arrogant, 52:45 pretentious. And finally, your wealth 52:48 becomes a problem. So, understand. Do 52:55 not forget your fate. Please enjoy the 52:58 happiness. Please eat, drink, dress 53:02 well, and have a home. But not for 53:06 arrogance, and not for excessiveness. 53:12 Yeah, that is extraordinary guidance in 53:14 religion. Go ahead. "Wa ahsin kama 53:21 ahsanallahu ilaik." And do good as 53:24 Allah has done good to you. That is the 53:28 point. With one's wealth. For those who 53:31 have wealth, use your knowledge. For 53:33 those who have knowledge, use your rank 53:35 . For those given the chance to have 53:38 rank, use your energy. If one has 53:41 energy, a human will be measured by 53:44 their output, their deeds. As in Surah 53:48 Ibrahim, "Tu'ti ukulaha kulla hinim 53:50 bi-idzniha." Like a fruit-bearing tree. 53:54 Every season it gives fruit without 53:56 being asked. As a positive contribution 54:00 to life. A religious person who 54:04 practices their faith will have a 54:06 positive impact. If possible, use your 54:11 wealth for goodness, social life, and 54:14 so on. Please do charity. "I'm not a 54:17 rich person, Sir." If you don't have 54:20 wealth, use knowledge. Mothers, if you 54:24 can cook delicious meals, like banana 54:27 stem stew that tastes like rendang, 54:29 then teach your neighbors. If you have 54:33 skills or any knowledge, please teach 54:36 it to others. Don't be stingy. "I 54:40 didn't study, Brother." Well, pray. Or 54:47 energy. "My energy is also weak, always 54:51 feeling ill." Masyaallah. "I don't even 54:54 know any prayers." Well, just sit there 54:57 and keep smiling. Even smiling is 55:00 worship; if you can't use energy, can't 55:03 pray, have no money, and no knowledge. 55:06 Do not do anything that harms other 55:09 people. That is the minimum. If they 55:13 can't even smile, it's because they 55:15 have a monkey's face. Monkeys don't 55:17 really smile, right? It's just like a 55:20 tree with no fruit, no anything. Might 55:23 as well cut it down for firewood. Do 55:27 good, just as Allah has done good to 55:30 you. Wala tabghil fasada fil ard. Do 55:34 not commit acts of mischief upon this 55:36 earth. Because Allah la yuhibbul 55:40 mufsidin. Allah does not like those who 55:43 commit deeds. Of destruction. 55:45 Destroying relationships, destroying 55:47 the economy, and all sorts of 55:49 destruction. Yes, every behavior that 55:51 brings destruction to life, to the 55:53 social order, or harms others, will 55:56 eventually reap what is sown, and their 55:58 life will not only lose its blessings 56:00 in this world, but it will become 56:02 difficult, especially in the hereafter. 56:06 Wallahu a'lam (Allah knows best). Do 56:08 not manage wealth wrongly. 56:13 >> Masyaallah. Brothers and sisters, don't 56:16 get it wrong. There is one word we 56:19 hopefully keep holding onto tightly. 56:21 May we go straight to the questions, 56:23 Ustaz? 56:23 >> Please. 56:25 >> Um, earlier you said that the products 56:28 of our deeds are important. Well, I 56:32 really want to ask. Oh, this is from 56:35 Ibu Ida. Backing down even when your 56:38 heart is hurt, just to avoid causing 56:41 trouble, so you choose to step back. 56:44 Does that count as charity, Ustaz? 56:45 >> Masyaallah, that person 56:47 >> is hurt but chooses to back down. 56:49 >> Those who are oppressed by expressions 56:53 of bullying, insults, or slander. 56:56 >> They remain silent with patience. They 57:00 do not retaliate 57:01 >> to avoid conflict. 57:02 >> Then truly, they are currently 57:04 harvesting. 57:07 >> Why? Because our sins are being taken 57:11 away by Him. If the slander and 57:15 bullying increase, and our sins are 57:17 gone, then the rewards, 57:20 >> then their good deeds will be 57:22 transferred to us, so yes, they are 57:23 truly harvesting. 57:26 >> But it is not easy to be hurt like that 57:28 . So try not to respond to evil with 57:37 evil. Eventually, the time will come, 57:41 even for those who bully us or slander 57:43 us in this life, when it will be 57:45 revealed—the good will be recognized, 57:47 and the evil will be exposed. Good 57:49 people will remain good; their dignity 57:52 will not decrease because of bullying 57:54 or the slander of others. 57:56 >> See. Wallahualam. 57:59 >> Alright, this is from Eyang Sri. 58:01 Assalamu'alaikum, Ustaz. 58:02 >> Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi 58:04 wabarakatuh. 58:04 >> May you always be in His grace and 58:06 pleasure. Ami. Amin. 58:08 >> Permission to ask, Ustaz. Our country, 58:11 Indonesia, is rich, vast, beautiful, 58:14 serene, and amazing. But what is 58:18 surprising is, why are there beautiful, 58:20 serene forests being burned and cut 58:23 down, and the sea can even be fenced 58:25 off? It's truly extraordinary. What do 58:30 you say, Ustaz? Yeah. Yes, those are 58:35 indeed things that should be prevented 58:38 and forbidden. If that is done, it 58:43 means reaping what is sown. 58:46 >> Yeah. 58:47 >> Don't be surprised if the rain comes at 58:49 the wrong season. Global warming the 58:55 temperature keeps rising every single 58:57 year. The danger of floods, what 59:00 dangers—enjoy them, because they are 59:02 the result of their own work. Now, what 59:05 about those who didn't do it but are 59:07 affected? Well, that is a test for us. 59:10 Suddenly there is a flood. If we are 59:12 okay, we are righteous, we do good, but 59:15 we suffer the consequences of bad 59:17 actions that result in disasters and so 59:20 on, it serves as a warning. If they are 59:24 good people, righteous people, God 59:26 willing, if they drown, get hit by 59:28 rubble from water or buildings and so 59:30 on, they die as martyrs and will be 59:33 resurrected according to the intentions 59:35 of their hearts and their deeds. So 59:39 they can die as martyrs. But for those 59:42 who have many sins, it is a warning or 59:44 perhaps an advance installment of 59:46 punishment. So it is very dependent. 59:48 That's why if there are various things 59:51 happening in a country, the problems 59:53 are also inseparable from the actions 59:56 of the citizens. So if Allah intends 1:00:01 good for a society, a country, a nation 1:00:05 , there are two indications. One, a 1:00:11 wise and virtuous leader will be 1:00:13 appointed. Second, the economy is held 1:00:18 by people who are generous, charitable, 1:00:20 and social-minded. That means that 1:00:24 nation is a nation intended for good by 1:00:26 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Hopefully. 1:00:29 >> Then the second, if Allah intends evil 1:00:33 for a society, a nation, 1:00:36 >> there are also two characteristics. An 1:00:37 ignorant leader is appointed. 1:00:40 >> Yeah. " 1:00:40 >> Jahil"(ignorant) doesn't just mean 1:00:41 stupid. They might also be stupid, not 1:00:43 understanding how to lead. 1:00:44 >> Furthermore, their heart's ignorance is 1:00:46 even worse. Lacking sensitivity, having 1:00:49 no care. Looking only at their ego and 1:00:52 so on. Second, the economy is held by 1:00:55 people who are monopolistic, greedy, 1:00:57 and hoarders. Why does that happen? 1:01:00 Well, because it depends, especially in 1:01:02 a democratic system. So if the elected 1:01:06 choice is a leader who is stupid or 1:01:08 ignorant, it shows that the ones 1:01:11 choosing are even more ignorant. 1:01:14 >> Yeah. Oh. 1:01:15 >> But if those choosing are wise, a wise 1:01:17 leader must surely emerge. That's why 1:01:20 when choosing leaders, don't just vote 1:01:23 blindly, give 50,000 rupiah and then 1:01:25 think we are being wise. God knows best 1:01:28 . 1:01:30 >> So the situation not being fine is 1:01:32 because we ourselves are not fine, 1:01:34 Ustaz. Alright. Next, this one has no 1:01:38 number or name, Ustaz is talking about 1:01:40 charity (sedekah). Peace be upon you ( 1:01:43 Assalamualaikum). And peace be upon you 1:01:45 too (Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi). 1:01:46 >> As neighbors, shouldn't we prioritize 1:01:50 giving to those clearly visible before 1:01:53 our eyes first? Even though we have 1:01:57 relatives far away who also need our 1:01:59 help. According to you, Ustaz, what 1:02:01 about prioritizing those visible to the 1:02:02 eye first? 1:02:03 >> Yes. 1:02:04 >> Yes. 1:02:05 >> There are several criteria. 1:02:07 >> Yeah. 1:02:08 >> To whom is the best charity given? 1:02:10 First, to family. Relatives whose 1:02:16 houses are close get three, family of 1:02:20 the same faith get two, right. 1:02:24 >> Yeah. 1:02:24 >> Third is neighbors. So neighbors, 1:02:28 family, and same faith. If one gives 1:02:31 charity to them, they get three times 1:02:33 the reward compared to others. Some 1:02:36 only get two. They are family, they are 1:02:42 of the same faith. But they are far 1:02:46 away. Aha. They only get, what is it? 1:02:52 Neighbors, then family, it's two. If 1:02:56 their religion is different, they get 1:02:59 two. There are those who only get one. 1:03:03 Family who are not of the same faith, 1:03:05 or even neighbors who are non-Muslims. 1:03:08 Heh. 1:03:09 >> We still get one. That one. Then give 1:03:13 charity, prioritize those closest to 1:03:17 your front door. 1:03:22 >> But in an emergency situation, meaning 1:03:24 they truly need help, family also 1:03:26 deserves attention. Because being 1:03:30 family also carries responsibility. 1:03:33 Especially brothers, for instance. 1:03:35 Because a brother also has a 1:03:37 responsibility, first to his wife. 1:03:39 Clearly. Second, to his elderly mother, 1:03:42 who can't take care of herself, and 1:03:45 then to his sisters. So siblings should 1:03:48 also receive attention, especially if 1:03:50 it's an emergency, yes, 1:03:52 >> they must be helped. Wallahu A'lam. 1:03:55 >> Yes. Thank you to those who gave a 1:03:58 thumbs up, meaning you really enjoyed 1:04:00 this discussion, Mr. Sakirin. And also 1:04:05 to Ms. Retno SW, Ms. Tuti. And the next 1:04:12 question, Ustaz, related to the matter 1:04:19 of prioritizing earlier. I am confused 1:04:23 about the situation at home because my 1:04:26 mother-in-law is very, very arrogant. 1:04:30 She even dictates my charity. Does that 1:04:34 count as charity on my part, despite 1:04:36 what she does? Oh, 1:04:39 >> of course, it's just, well, when it 1:04:43 comes to household affairs, parents 1:04:46 should really 1:04:48 >> not interfere. Not interfere, unless 1:04:49 they are giving advice. 1:04:51 >> But the fact is, it's not like that, 1:04:52 Ustaz. 1:04:52 >> Unless giving advice or guidance is 1:04:55 fine, but don't meddle in private 1:04:58 matters. Now, if they are dominant, 1:05:02 then this is where the problem arises. 1:05:06 But every behavior we receive, if we 1:05:12 don't let it hurt our feelings and we 1:05:14 are patient. That is truly a charitable 1:05:18 reward. As long as you are patient. So 1:05:21 if treated poorly by someone, we are 1:05:23 patient, we don't retaliate, it is as I 1:05:26 said earlier, our sins are taken away 1:05:29 and we receive rewards. Insha'Allah. 1:05:31 Wallahu A'lam. 1:05:34 >> Yes. This is 0811 and so on, Ustaz. 1:05:41 Regarding habluminannas, our attitude, 1:05:45 our speech, must indeed be managed. But 1:05:50 what if we are very busy, I once passed 1:05:52 by a neighbor just walking, and I was 1:05:54 gossiped about even though I was in a 1:05:56 hurry. How is this, Ustaz? Thank you. 1:06:01 >> How? How? What do you mean how? Well, 1:06:04 if others are wrong, we shouldn't 1:06:06 follow suit and be wrong too. If you 1:06:09 feel they are gossiping, we don't even 1:06:11 know if they are talking about us. So 1:06:14 we must always guard our feelings and 1:06:16 have husnuzan (good thoughts) about 1:06:18 others. Don't be oversensitive and 1:06:20 conclude things on your own. So even if 1:06:24 they were gossiping about us, we don't 1:06:27 know if they were saying things we 1:06:29 don't like, so just let it be, don't 1:06:32 retaliate, it's their business. 1:06:36 >> Yes, that's our reward too, as long as 1:06:38 we are patient, the same as reducing 1:06:40 our sins, but don't be oversensitive, 1:06:41 it's not allowed to have bad thoughts. 1:06:45 >> Just have good thoughts, hopefully, 1:06:46 they were saying something good about 1:06:48 us. 1:06:49 >> Yes. 1:06:49 >> Wallahu A'lam. 1:06:51 >> If you were walking in a hurry because 1:06:52 you were pressed for time, the 1:06:54 important thing is just to smile and 1:06:55 greet them, 1:06:57 >> so you aren't labeled as arrogant. Okay 1:06:59 , Ustaz, let's summarize the closing 1:07:03 statement, the core idea regarding how 1:07:06 to ensure our nature as servants of 1:07:09 Allah doesn't lead us to ruin, so we 1:07:13 don't mismanage our wealth, Ustaz. 1:07:17 Please go ahead. 1:07:18 >> Yes. Maasyiral muslimin, my dear 1:07:20 brothers and sisters. Alhamdulillah, 1:07:22 wherever you are. So, the conclusion is 1:07:26 that this world was indeed created for 1:07:30 mankind. Please, enjoy it. Human 1:07:34 attraction to the opposite sex is 1:07:36 natural. The problem lies in how we 1:07:40 follow the rules of conduct. That is 1:07:42 what needs to be considered. What 1:07:44 distinguishes humans from animals is 1:07:46 that animals have no rules. They just 1:07:49 act on impulse. But for humans, their 1:07:52 tendencies, their desires, should 1:07:57 follow rules. We are not forbidden from 1:08:00 having desires, nor should we suppress 1:08:02 them, no. Go ahead, but follow the 1:08:04 rules. If a man likes a woman, there 1:08:06 are rules. 1:08:07 >> Yeah. Limit interactions so they aren't 1:08:12 free, and treat the opposite sex with 1:08:17 respect. If they want to be together, 1:08:21 there's a procedure: engagement, 1:08:23 marriage, and so on. That is the rule. 1:08:26 That makes a human honorable. The world 1:08:28 is the same. The same applies to 1:08:30 children. Do not spoil your children. 1:08:32 Don't just provide food and drink, or 1:08:34 keep them wealthy, while neglecting 1:08:36 their faith and religion. Don't treat 1:08:39 religious matters as trivial. Wow, this 1:08:41 is dangerous. Parents might be dragged 1:08:43 back even when they are at the gates of 1:08:45 heaven. "You were supposed to look 1:08:47 after your child." Why so many sins and 1:08:49 acts of disobedience? Because it turns 1:08:51 out they didn't understand religion. 1:08:52 Why didn't they understand religion? 1:08:53 Because their parents didn't guide them 1:08:54 , so the parents are held accountable. 1:08:56 So, in this regard, do not mismanage 1:09:02 your wealth. It is not just about 1:09:04 wealth, but also managing your family. 1:09:07 Do not take the wrong steps in this 1:09:09 life. Use religion to distinguish 1:09:11 between what is commanded and what is 1:09:12 forbidden. Because every commandment 1:09:14 will surely bring blessings, honor, and 1:09:16 happiness. And every evil deed 1:09:19 forbidden by Allah, if violated, will 1:09:21 surely lead to disaster and ruin. 1:09:24 Hopefully, bit by bit, we can continue 1:09:26 to reflect on, deepen our understanding 1:09:28 of our religion, and then practice it 1:09:30 in our lives. Because faith is not 1:09:33 enough with just beautiful words; it 1:09:35 must be reflected in our actions and 1:09:37 our lives. I apologize for any 1:09:39 shortcomings or mistakes. Wabillahi 1:09:41 taufik walhidayah. Wasalamualaikum 1:09:43 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 1:09:45 >> Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 1:09:47 wabarakatuh. Thank you very much, Ustaz 1:09:51 Abul Hidayat Seroji, for providing 1:09:54 enlightenment on not mismanaging our 1:09:56 wealth. Hopefully, we can truly 1:10:01 practice this, because we must avoid 1:10:03 temporary pleasures that lead to 1:10:05 long-term suffering. And let's all be 1:10:10 careful with what is superficial. Don't 1:10:14 let us lose our way. Watch out. 1:10:18 Forgetting our children, our neighbors, 1:10:20 and our relatives. Well, Ustaz, thank 1:10:22 you once again. Billahi taufik wal 1:10:24 hidayah. Wasalamualaikum warahmatullah 1:10:26 wabarakatuh.
