To proceed. Indeed, the 1:59 most truthful speech is the Book of 2:01 Allah the Almighty, and the best 2:02 guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, 2:04 may Allah bless him and grant him peace 2:05 . Listeners of Silaturahim Radio who 2:20 are blessed by Allah. Praise be to 2:24 Allah, we once again offer our praise 2:27 and gratitude to the presence of Allah 2:29 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, who always pours 2:32 out His favors and gifts upon us, 2:35 especially the blessing of Islam and 2:37 faith, the blessing of health and 2:40 well-being, the blessing of a long life 2:43 in obedience, including the blessing of 2:46 our meeting this morning in this 2:48 blessed gathering. In the framework of 2:54 carrying out one of His commands that 2:56 is obligatory for us all, which is 2:59 seeking knowledge, where God willing, 3:01 this morning we will continue our study 3:04 from last week regarding the entry...of 3:10 Satan into the human heart, the places 3:15 or entry points for Satan into the 3:18 human heart, which hopefully by knowing 3:23 this, we will be able to protect 3:29 ourselves from Satan's deceptions by 3:33 closing the gaps that could cause Satan 3:37 to enter our hearts. So that our hearts 3:42 will become a place for the angels to 3:44 whisper into our hearts. Yes, as 3:48 explained by Allah in the Qur'an. The 3:52 angels descend upon them [and say], "Do 3:54 not fear and do not grieve but receive 3:57 good tidings of Paradise, which you 3:59 were promised." May peace and blessings 4:04 always be poured upon our Prophet 4:05 Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant 4:07 him peace, along with his family, his 4:09 companions, his followers, and the 4:11 practitioners of his Sunnah. Listeners 4:15 of Silaturahim Radio who are blessed by 4:17 Allah. In the previous meeting, I have 4:21 already conveyed that among the entry 4:24 points for Satan into our hearts is* 4:27 thama '*. Which is hoping for other 4:32 people's handouts. Yes, hoping for 4:37 other people's help. Hmm. Where this* 4:43 thama'*as I have also conveyed, is one 4:46 of the causes for the birth of the 4:50 trait of*riya '*(showing off) within 4:53 ourselves. There are three causes for 4:57 the growth of*riya'*, and one of them 4:58 is*thama '*. Now, the first one is 5:01 loving praise. Liking to be praised 5:05 because we enjoy praise even though we 5:07 are actually not worthy of being 5:09 praised. Then trying here and there to 5:14 ensure people give us a positive 5:16 assessment. In modern language, what is 5:19 it usually called? "Image building," 5:22 isn't it? So that people give what is 5:25 called...a positive value, and that is 5:28 actually a lie. Then the second thing 5:32 is that if we still love to be praised 5:35 by others, then our deeds are tainted 5:37 by*riya'*. It doesn't mean that people 5:43 who like to be praised mean their deeds 5:45 are always*riya '*. No. But eliminating 5:47 *riya'*from ourselves is an impossible 5:51 thing if we still love to be praised by 5:55 others. The second thing, it could be 5:58 that we don't like to be praised. But 6:01 this second one is even heavier, which 6:04 is being allergic to hearing or 6:09 accepting what is called insults or 6:12 criticism. Criticism, insults; we are 6:16 not happy. Ah, this is also a cause for 6:20 the growth of, uh, showing off. How 6:24 Caliph Umar, may Allah be pleased with 6:28 him, when he became caliph, someone 6:32 reported, "Sir, they say many of the 6:35 people are afraid of you being 6:38 president, being caliph." Why? Because 6:44 they are afraid you are a stern, or 6:46 actually, a firm person. Umar wept. Why 6:52 ? "O Allah, woe to me," he said. What 6:56 will happen? He said, what if a leader 6:59 is feared by their people. So he did 7:03 not want to be feared. The people being 7:07 led, the citizens, should not fear 7:09 their leader. If I am feared, then when 7:13 I make a mistake, no one will dare to 7:16 correct me. "This is dangerous," said 7:20 Umar. So the palace should be a place 7:25 that brings peace, not something sacred 7:28 or, what do you call it, like it's 7:31 intimidating. Very intimidating. It 7:36 seems the palace only became a place 7:38 where the people could pass through and 7:41 meet during Gus Dur's era. People 7:45 wearing flip-flops entering—it's 7:47 quite interesting, right? Yes. Alright, 7:52 dear congregation, may Allah have mercy 7:54 on you. The third thing is...hoping for 7:59 handouts, hoping for help from others. 8:03 Whereas it is said, "waidasta'anta 8:05 fasta'in billah." If you ask for help, 8:08 ask for help from Allah. Yes, there is 8:12 no one who can help us except Allah. 8:16 How the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon 8:18 him, explained that the most 8:20 extraordinary verse in the Qur'an is 8:22 Ayat al-Kursi. So whoever reads it 8:28 before sleeping, Allah will guard the 8:32 one who sleeps and also guard their 8:36 neighbor and their neighbors 'neighbors 8:41 . Hmm. And he recommended that we read 8:46 Ayat al-Kursi after the five daily 8:48 prayers. Yes, practice it consistently. 8:52 When Siti Fatimah asked the Prophet for 8:54 a servant, it was as if the Prophet 9:00 didn't understand what Siti Fatimah was 9:03 asking for. As if he didn't care, he 9:08 instead told Siti Fatimah to 9:10 consistently read Ayat al-Kursi. But 9:15 being a pious daughter, she thought, " 9:16 Well, perhaps the Messenger doesn't 9:18 want to give me one." Then another day, 9:20 she came to the Prophet again. "I asked 9:23 to be given a servant," she said. " 9:26 Haven't I given you one, Fatimah?" Yes. 9:31 "But you only told me to practice 9:33 reading a verse." Yes. That is a 9:37 servant whose power is far greater than 9:39 the strength of a human servant. 9:44 Meaning if you practice that, you will 9:47 be able to do heavy work usually done 9:50 by a servant, and even better. So Allah 9:55 gives her strength so she no longer 9:58 needs a servant; she can do it without 10:01 getting tired. Yes, Ayat al-Kursi is 10:04 truly extraordinary. That is regarding 10:10 the, um, what's it called, "wa min 10:12 abwabihil adzimah.""Al-ajalah wa 10:16 tarkut-tabbut fil umur"(hastiness and 10:19 lack of deliberation in affairs). The 10:22 Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, 10:24 said. "Al-ajalah minas-syaitan 10:24 wat-ta'anni minallahi ta'ala"(hastiness 10:26 is from Satan, and deliberation is from 10:27 Allah the Almighty). And Allah the 10:29 Almighty said, "Khuliqal insanu min 10:31 ajal"(Man was created of haste). And 10:34 Allah the Almighty said, "Innal insana 10:35 ajula"(Indeed, man is [by nature] hasty 10:37 ). So, the next place for, uh, Satan to 10:42 enter into the heart, the entry point 10:45 for Satan into the heart is "al-ajalah, 10:48 " yes. Haste, right. What's another 10:53 word for it? Being rash or clumsy. Hmm. 10:55 So, being hasty or impulsive comes from 10:59 Satan. As the Prophet Muhammad SAW said 11:03 , "Al-ajalah minash-shaytan," being 11:05 hasty comes from Satan, and being calm 11:08 comes from Allah. Let's think calmly 11:12 beforehand. There is a saying that 11:16 mature people think ten times before 11:19 taking one action. Yes, that is how a 11:23 wise person acts. Ah. The Prophet gave 11:27 guidance that if you are about to do 11:29 something, ponder and consider the 11:32 consequences. If the consequences are 11:37 good, proceed. But if they are bad, 11:40 then stop. The Prophet noted that many 11:43 of our leaders are often hasty when 11:46 speaking, what do you call it? They 11:50 don't pay attention to the consequences 11:53 of their words. Even though we all know 11:59 that if our feet slip, it doesn't cause 12:04 a riot or death. But if our tongue 12:10 slips, it doesn't just cause trouble or 12:14 riots, it can even lead to death. The 12:19 tongue is extraordinary. That is why we 12:22 are told to guard it. The Prophet often 12:24 said, guard this. He said, guard this. 12:29 That is why Allah created one mouth and 12:31 two ears. So that we speak little and 12:35 listen much. Because the sign of a 12:39 learned person, the sign of a smart 12:42 person, is that they prefer listening 12:44 over speaking. By listening, knowledge 12:48 increases. By speaking, it doesn't 12:51 necessarily mean knowledge increases. 12:53 There is a possibility of making 12:54 mistakes. Especially when speaking in 12:59 front of many people, the psychological 13:02 influence is extraordinary. We feel 13:07 like someone supported by so many 13:10 people, that even a coward can become a 13:13 lion. That influence is called what? 13:17 The crowd. The influence of the crowd. 13:23 Just look, when there is an istighasah, 13:25 whether it's Nurul Mustofa or something 13:27 else, those kids sometimes, because 13:30 they go in such large numbers, they 13:32 don't look anymore. Red lights or 13:37 police, they just barge through like 13:41 that. This is because there is strong 13:43 support, especially if the one 13:45 supporting them is the government. They 13:47 become even more daring. So, like that, 13:52 even a mouse—sorry—a coward can 13:55 become a tiger. It’s extraordinary. 13:59 Therefore, leaders must be careful when 14:03 speaking; as the Prophet said, look at 14:07 the consequences, if it has a bad 14:11 effect, then stop. But if the outcome 14:15 is good, understand and proceed, says 14:17 the Prophet. So, again, al-ajalah 14:21 minash-shaytan. Being hasty or 14:24 impulsive comes from Satan. Remaining 14:28 calm comes from Allah. Except for three 14:32 things, the Prophet said, which are 14:34 reversed. Hurrying is from Allah, while 14:38 delaying is from Satan. Those three 14:42 things. First, managing a funeral. So, 14:46 if someone passes away, don't delay it. 14:50 If they were a good person, we are 14:54 being unjust to them by slowing down 14:57 their path to receive blessings from 15:00 Allah in the grave. Yes. Now, consider 15:05 someone who is thirsty at a Maulid 15:10 event or similar, they are hungry, 15:13 thirsty, want to eat, the speaker has 15:15 finished, and all that's left is the 15:18 closing and prayer. Right when he’s 15:23 about to pray, he says "Alhamdulillah 15:26 wasalatu wasalam" first. He starts 15:28 giving a speech again, and the 15:30 attendees are already so annoyed, 15:32 thinking "Ah, come on, Kiai." Yes. Why? 15:38 Because it delays people from enjoying 15:40 the moment. What will a believer 15:42 receive? They will be brought into a* 15:46 rawdah min riyadil jannah*. A garden of 15:49 paradise. Yet, it’s being delayed. 15:51 That is unfair of us. But if that 15:55 person is a transgressor, then we are 15:58 allowing our place to linger as a site 16:01 where Allah's curse descends. Yes. Yes. 16:09 Don't stay too long. That is where 16:11 Allah's curse descended upon the 16:12 disbelievers. Having it in our homes 16:15 for too long is bad. When the Prophet 16:20 ﷺ performed the Hajj, departing from 16:23 Arafat, upon reaching the border 16:26 between Muzdalifah and Mina, there is a 16:30 place called Wadi Muhasir. Yes, 16:36 arriving at Wadi Muhasir, the Messenger 16:38 hit his camel, and the camel ran. Then 16:42 the Prophet also said, "Asriu, asriu." 16:45 Hurry up, hurry up. He said, "Hurry up. 16:47 " Now, the question is why did the 16:51 Messenger not want to stay long or 16:53 relax on that road like he did in other 16:55 places? Oh, that is the place where 17:00 Abrahah was once destroyed. Yes, the 17:05 place where Abrahah and his troops were 17:07 destroyed is in a valley called Wadi 17:09 Muhasir. Until now, that is a place 17:14 where Allah's curse and punishment 17:16 descended. So, we should not linger in 17:20 that place. If it's a place where mercy 17:25 descends, like in a mosque, yes. Go 17:28 ahead, visit the Prophet or the*auliya* 17:30 (saints), please do. Those are graves 17:35 of righteous people, so lingering there 17:37 is fine. But these kids hang out at 17:40 Chinese graveyards and stay there for a 17:43 long time. Even though that is where 17:45 Allah's curse descends. Well, for 17:47 people who don't understand, it's just 17:49 difficult, isn't it? Now, if we 17:54 shouldn't linger in a place where 17:56 Allah's curse descended, how could we 17:58 spend long periods associating with 18:00 people who have earned Allah's curse? 18:04 This is why we must be clever in 18:07 choosing friends, choosing companions 18:09 with whom we spend our time. If we hang 18:14 out with people who receive Allah's 18:16 abundant mercy, we will get some too. 18:21 But if we hang out with those who 18:22 receive Allah's curse, we will also get 18:24 a share of that curse. *Anil mar'i la 18:30 tas'al wa sal' an qarinihi fa innal 18:33 qarina bil muqtarani yaqtadi. *Yes, if 18:37 we want to ask about someone, don't ask 18:40 that person. "Are you a thief?" Which 18:48 thief would ever admit, "Yes, sir. I am 18:51 a thief." It's just a lie, right? 18:54 Asking a thief, "Are you a thief or not 18:56 ?" He won't admit it. So, if we want to 19:00 ask about someone, don't ask who that 19:02 person is, but ask who their friends 19:04 are. By looking at their friends, we 19:10 know who this person is. Because a 19:14 friend will follow their, well, their 19:17 friend. A person will follow their 19:21 companion. That's how it is. I have one 19:25 interesting story. When Prophet Ibrahim 19:29 was being burned, there was a small 19:31 bird, a sparrow. Seeing Prophet Ibrahim 19:37 being burned, it took water in its beak 19:39 . It dropped it and took more water. It 19:43 dropped it. It was laughed at by a 19:45 lizard. "You, sparrow," it said. "It's 19:49 useless, it's pointless," it said. "The 19:53 fire won't go out.""A fire that huge 19:57 being doused with water drop by drop."" 20:02 The water dries up from the heat before 20:04 even touching the bottom." What did the 20:08 sparrow say? "I know, I realize that my 20:12 actions, you know, won't be of any use 20:15 in putting out the fire.""It's 20:19 impossible.""But I want you to know 20:24 which side I am on.""The side that lets 20:29 Prophet Ibrahim be burned or the side 20:31 that disagrees with Prophet Ibrahim 20:33 being burned." This, this stance is 20:36 what's important. Even though we might 20:40 not mean anything, right? We may not 20:43 mean much to the people we defend, 20:45 support, or whatever, we might mean 20:47 nothing. But we want people to know, 20:53 especially Allah, which side I am on. 20:59 Because Allah will gather a person with 21:02 their group. Gathered. If we love good 21:06 people, then we will be with those good 21:09 people even if we are not good people 21:12 ourselves. Yes, how could we not be 21:15 gathered? Even a dog could be gathered 21:18 in heaven with the People of the Cave, 21:20 just because of that dog. During its 21:23 life, it always followed the scholars. 21:28 So, once it reached the Cave of Kahfi, 21:31 that dog followed them there along with 21:34 the preaching, was chased by the rulers 21:37 , also entered the Cave of Kahfi, and 21:39 died together with the scholars. When 21:44 they were about to enter heaven, the 21:46 Prophet said the dog was stopped. By 21:50 the angel Malik—uh, by the angel 21:52 Ridwan. "Hey, where are you going, dog? 21:54 " That's what was said, right? "You 21:57 can't enter heaven.""This is not a 21:59 place for animals.""Why can't I?""Well, 22:02 throughout my life in the world, I was 22:04 always with them.""We had fun together, 22:08 through joy and sorrow, suffered 22:10 together, and even died together in the 22:12 cave.""Why, now that they want to enter 22:15 heaven?""I'm not allowed to enter 22:17 heaven." Then, Allah said, "Ridwan, let 22:22 it in.""Let it be with the ones it 22:26 loves.""Al-mar'u ma'a man ahab." 22:29 Exactly. This is about taking a stance. 22:32 Do we take the side of the good or the 22:35 side of the not-so-good? I won't say 22:38 which is good, which is not, and who is 22:40 who. The point is we have a line, that 22:46 we must be on the side of the good 22:50 people. So that is the first thing. The 22:55 second thing is paying off debts. If 22:58 paying debts, don't take too long, 23:00 don't delay, don't make excuses. Yes, 23:03 once asked to pay, they remember the 23:05 Prophet's words, "Al-ajalah 23:06 minash-shaitan.""Being in a hurry is 23:09 from Satan." So, paying debts doesn't 23:11 need to be rushed. Well, this is 23:12 twisted. This is what you call the 23:15 words of Satan. This kind of urgency 23:20 comes from Allah. Oh, Ustaz, what 23:23 should I do? I’m currently renting a 23:25 place. When payday comes, if I pay the 23:29 rent, uh, pay my debts, it means I 23:32 can’t pay the rent. Uh, I won't have 23:37 money to eat, excuse me. But if I use 23:38 it to eat, it means I can’t pay the 23:41 rent. Pay the rent first. Pay the rent 23:44 first. Then talk to the landlord. Ma'am 23:48 , here is your rent payment. If you 23:49 don't mind, I'd like to borrow some. I 23:51 have nothing left to eat. Now, that is 23:53 being honest. This honesty is what's 23:57 important. Honesty is what’s 23:59 important. MashaAllah. Yes, I have said 24:08 before, that Sayidina Ali once had a 24:11 day where his wife, Siti Fatimah, may 24:14 Allah be pleased with her, was craving 24:17 a pomegranate. So she asked Sayidina 24:22 Ali; he didn't have the money, so he 24:24 had to borrow it. Eventually, he 24:26 borrowed from Sayidina Uthman. He then 24:30 bought one pomegranate, brought it home 24:35 for his wife. Yeah, Arab pomegranates 24:37 are big and nice. They're quite lovely. 24:41 Eh, on the way, there was a starving 24:43 beggar. He thought, "If I take this 24:48 home without giving it to this beggar, 24:50 it means I'm not practicing the Quran, 24:52 not practicing the Prophet's sunnah. 24:56 But if I give it to the beggar, what 24:59 about my wife? Especially with the 25:02 added thought that the child might 25:04 drool later." Yeah, rather than not 25:07 following the command, it's better if 25:10 the child drools. The pomegranate was 25:13 given away. Even though he went into 25:17 debt to buy that pomegranate. This is 25:20 truly extraordinary. Sayidina Ali then 25:22 had to think about how he would answer 25:26 and what excuse he could offer. But he 25:30 had to be honest. Siti Fatimah saw her 25:33 husband return without the pomegranate. 25:37 Yes. Yes. That is the nature of a 25:39 righteous woman. As soon as Sayidina 25:41 Ali explained the reason, what did Siti 25:44 Fatimah say? My husband, as soon as I 25:47 saw you come home, my desire to eat a 25:53 pomegranate suddenly vanished. I don't 25:58 know if she was being truly honest 26:03 about it or not. Even if it was a lie, 26:08 it was a very good lie, to please her 26:13 husband, so he wouldn't feel guilty. 26:16 That is a righteous woman, sometimes, 26:20 you know? Lying is necessary, honesty 26:23 can be dangerous. Yes. Hm. Yes, it 26:28 could be. Now, if we are watching 26:31 something with our wives and we see a 26:34 very beautiful woman. Is it right to 26:38 say she's beautiful, or will our wives 26:40 get annoyed? Yeah. Yes. Alright, dear 26:47 listeners. Sayidina Ali was happy 26:51 because Siti Fatimah said that. 26:54 Everything was settled. Yes, lying 26:56 sometimes is necessary to please a 26:59 husband or a life partner. Not long 27:03 after, there was a knock at the door. 27:07 Man fil bab? Who is at the door? He 27:10 said, "I am," to Sayidina Ali, and when 27:15 the door opened, someone was carrying a 27:18 tray covered with a cloth. What is it? 27:23 "I met someone, Master Ali. That person 27:27 entrusted this to be given to you." Who 27:31 is it from? Said Sayidina Ali. Well, 27:36 the person also said, if Ali asks, just 27:38 say this is from Allah. So it was 27:41 accepted. Once opened, on the tray 27:45 there were nine pomegranates. Hmm. 27:51 Finally 27:52 yes. Wow, Sayidina Ali understood that 27:56 if it were from Allah, it should have 27:58 been 10. Sayidina Ali joked, "Brother, 28:03 this isn't from Allah." The people who 28:08 told him to say it was from Allah were 28:10 wrong. "Hey, Brother, Allah has decreed 28:15 , 'Man jaa bil hasanah falahu asyru 28:17 amsaliha.'" Whoever does one good deed, 28:22 by Allah, it will be rewarded with at 28:24 least 10. And I had done a good deed by 28:29 giving one pomegranate as charity, now 28:31 it is being rewarded by Allah. It 28:33 couldn't be anything but 10 if it were 28:35 from Allah. He reached into his pocket 28:39 and said, "I pocketed one." Sayidina 28:43 Ali smiled. What Sayidina Ali meant was 28:45 , just be honest, you could have just 28:49 asked for one. Even if he didn't ask, 28:52 how could Sayidina Ali not give? He was 28:54 an incredibly generous person. The only 28:58 one he had, he gave away to a beggar. 29:01 Even though this was a request from his 29:04 beloved wife. Especially now that there 29:06 are 10, how could he not give? It's 29:09 impossible, what Sayidina Ali truly 29:11 wanted was honesty. This is it. So the 29:19 second thing is paying off debts. Then, 29:23 the third is marrying off a daughter. 29:28 Then*wamin abwabihil adimah adarohim 29:31 waddananir*. Also, another gateway for 29:37 the devil is money. Dinars and dirhams. 29:43 The Prophet did not bequeath dinars, 29:46 nor did he bequeath dirhams. What was 29:50 bequeathed by the Prophet was knowledge 29:53 , wisdom. That is what was bequeathed. 29:58 Uh one day, the polytheist leaders, the 30:03 Quraysh, came to meet the Prophet. They 30:09 said, "Muhammad, if you want to become 30:12 a king, then we will crown you king." 30:19 Ah. And if you want to be the richest 30:24 person, we will gather all the wealth 30:27 in Mecca and give it to you so you 30:30 become the wealthiest. And if you want 30:37 women, who are the women? How many 30:40 women you desire, we will give them to 30:43 you. As long as you stop the message of 30:46 the mission. Now, this is called a 30:50 negotiation. Well, to stop this mission 30:54 , there are three things that they 30:58 offered, and it will always be like 31:00 that. One is the throne, position, 31:05 second is wealth, and third is women. 31:11 This will continue throughout the ages. 31:14 Why are people arguing? This faction, 31:17 that faction. Wow, it's all about these 31:20 three things. No, it never goes outside 31:22 of that. They are fighting over 31:24 presidential positions, right? Then the 31:29 candidates who will be ministers, who 31:32 will be this, that, and the other, the 31:34 people who stand to gain behind this 31:37 leadership. What is that gain? It's 31:42 exactly those three: wealth, throne, 31:45 women. Ah, Prophet Moses came to 31:51 Pharaoh inviting him to faith, but 31:55 Pharaoh refused. Why did Pharaoh not 31:59 want to believe? Because he did not 32:02 want to lose his throne. He did not 32:06 want to stop being a king after 32:08 believing. These words, these are 32:12 Prophet Moses 'words, "Sir,""by 32:18 believing, it doesn't mean you have to 32:20 lose your throne.""You remain king, 32:24 nothing changes.""All these palaces, 32:28 this kingdom, is yours.""It won't 32:31 suddenly shift to me.""Only one thing: 32:35 believe, acknowledge the divinity of 32:37 Allah, acknowledge me as His messenger. 32:40 ""That’s it.""So I won't lose my 32:44 wealth or my throne?""Well, in that 32:47 case, I will speak with Haman first." 32:50 Who is Haman? The prime minister. Once 32:55 he spoke to his prime minister, what 32:57 did Haman say? "Your Majesty.""It is 33:00 true, by believing you lose nothing."" 33:04 Only, well, here is the thing: if all 33:08 this time you are worshipped, by 33:10 believing, you will be the one 33:13 worshipping.""If all this time you have 33:18 been giving orders, after believing, 33:20 you will be given orders.""All this 33:24 time you have been in control.""If you 33:26 believe, you will be controlled by 33:28 Moses.""And so on." Yes, even though 33:33 actually, if he believed, it was Haman 33:36 who was afraid of losing his, what do 33:39 you call it, his position. In the end, 33:44 Pharaoh did not believe. Now, from here 33:49 we can understand that power is 33:51 actually not on the throne. Power is 33:56 behind the throne. So the one who 34:01 objected to Pharaoh's belief was 34:03 actually not Pharaoh, but the person 34:05 behind Pharaoh. Who? Haman. That's it. 34:11 Exactly. It's the same, if Mr. Jokowi 34:16 doesn't want to step down as president, 34:18 the ones who really don't want that are 34:20 the people behind him. Ah, the same 34:25 goes for other factions. It’s always 34:28 the same when it comes to the issue of 34:31 the throne, the issue of power; it has 34:33 always been like that everywhere. And 34:37 this is a challenge, an obstacle, yes. 34:44 Hmm. It becomes a challenge, and to 34:48 obtain that position, that throne, 34:51 anything can be done. Now, this is the 34:56 misfortune if the throne is held by 34:59 people who do not believe, it becomes a 35:01 weapon of destruction. But in the hands 35:06 of those who, what you call it, believe 35:08 , God willing, it will be a very 35:11 beneficial tool. Ah, I was giving a 35:17 sermon here, sermon at the Headquarters 35:21 . I said like this, the Messenger of 35:26 Allah, peace be upon him, just like 35:28 Prophet Muhammad and the other 35:31 messengers, were people who received a 35:34 mandate, a mandate from Allah to convey 35:37 Allah's message to...His servants, this 35:41 is what a messenger is. Now, because of 35:48 that, so that this mandate from Allah 35:51 arrives, is safe, and successful, as 35:55 the Messenger bears this mandate, every 35:59 messenger is given a weapon by Allah, 36:03 an extraordinary weapon to defeat their 36:07 enemies, which no other power or weapon 36:11 can defeat, the weapon that Allah gave 36:15 to the prophets. What is that? Miracles 36:19 . Hmm. Miracles are given as tools, yes 36:24 , to defeat their enemies. "Watilka 36:27 hujjatuna atainaha Ibrahima alaika." 36:30 This ability, that ability. Yes. See. 36:36 That's why, look at the time of Pharaoh 36:39 , or rather the time of Prophet Musa, 36:41 where the magicians threw their staffs 36:44 and they became snakes. Not just 36:46 hundreds, but thousands of snakes 36:48 attacked Prophet Musa. Prophet Musa 36:51 dropped his staff. It became a giant 36:54 snake that swallowed all those small 36:57 snakes. Yeah. And those magicians knew 37:03 that the wood never actually changed. 37:06 It remained wood. See, they practiced " 37:10 sihr" to deceive people. Magicians 37:14 deceive, they trick people's vision. So 37:19 , to others, it appeared to turn into 37:21 snakes. Even though nothing actually 37:24 changed; it was just an illusion. But 37:28 the magicians themselves saw Prophet 37:30 Musa's staff truly turn into a real 37:33 snake. So they said, "This is not magic 37:36 .""I am the master of magic.""How could 37:42 I see wood turn into a real snake?" 37:44 Magic doesn't change reality. But to 37:49 those who didn't understand magic, the 37:51 ones they bewitched, it remained just 37:52 wood. Because they were not deceived. 37:56 Because this was not magic, they 37:57 eventually submitted. Fasajadu. They 38:01 then prostrated. Yeah. Now, because of 38:08 that, that's why I say, in a way, 38:12 soldiers are similar to Prophets. In 38:17 what way? Prophets receive a mandate 38:20 from Allah, while soldiers receive a 38:22 mandate from the state. Right? The 38:27 state entrusts soldiers with the duty 38:30 to guard and protect this country and 38:33 its people, right? Hmm. Because of that 38:42 , for this mandate to be carried out 38:44 successfully by the soldiers, the state 38:48 must provide them with sophisticated 38:50 weapons that cannot be defeated by any 38:53 others. Those must be provided. Then 39:02 they will succeed in protecting this 39:04 country. So if, for instance, the 39:07 budget for the military is small, how 39:09 can the soldiers protect this country? 39:14 So, in this regard, soldiers are 39:16 similar to Prophets; both are 39:17 recipients of a mandate. It's just that 39:20 Prophets receive the mandate from Allah 39:22 , while soldiers receive it from what? 39:24 The state. Beware. So be careful with 39:28 those three. The first one mentioned 39:30 earlier. Sometimes, for the sake of 39:33 power, people will sacrifice anything 39:36 and use any means necessary to obtain 39:39 it. Oh boy. If it reaches this point 39:44 yeah. Power becomes the ultimate goal. 39:47 Even though, in reality, power should 39:50 only be a tool. Hmm. I heard a story 39:56 from Habib Umar. Habib Umar said, " 40:01 There was once a king.""This king, it 40:05 is said, suffered from a condition 40:08 where he could not relieve himself.""Oh 40:12 , they tried various things.""People, 40:16 experts in medicine, and healers were 40:18 brought in." They were brought in. But 40:23 no one could make this man relieve 40:27 himself. His stomach was already 40:29 bloated. Now, his stomach was huge and 40:34 no healer could help. Only one scholar 40:37 remained. The scholar was called. The 40:42 kiai or scholar said this, "I am ready 40:46 to help and treat you, Your Majesty, 40:49 but the payment is expensive, provided 40:53 you are willing." What is the payment? 40:57 I ask to be paid with your royal palace 41:01 , Your Majesty. Well, the king 41:04 obviously objected. Well, if that's the 41:06 case, I cannot treat you. Finally, he 41:09 discussed it with his family. Better to 41:11 just be a commoner than to be like this 41:12 . What is the use of being a king if 41:15 you cannot do anything. Every moment he 41:18 could only groan and moan in pain. 41:22 Finally, he agreed to hand it over. He 41:26 wrote it down, perhaps there was an 41:28 agreement, some kind of MOU, right. Ah. 41:34 He took this basin used for washing. 41:38 Then he was sat down there and treated 41:40 by that kiai, and truly, it was able to 41:43 expel all the waste. Yes. The agreement 41:47 was that the kingdom be handed over. 41:50 Finally, the scholar said, "Your 41:52 Majesty, I accept, but I am returning 41:54 this kingdom to you. I just want to 41:59 give a message and remind you that, it 42:03 turns out, the value of your kingdom is 42:06 only worth the waste in this basin. 42:13 Only because you wanted this, you 42:15 handed over that palace." Now I am 42:17 returning it back to you. The palace is 42:20 yours. That is what the scholar said. 42:22 Just remember that the value of your 42:24 palace is the same as this. Yes. Indeed 42:30 . Right now, we are all busy hunting 42:33 for the contents of that basin. Oh dear 42:35 . Ha. 42:37 Yes. Still hunting for that basin, 42:39 right. It’s not that you cannot be a 42:46 rich person. Please, go ahead and be 42:49 rich. Yeah. The next one, wamin 42:57 abwabihil adzimah albukhl. Among others 43:01 , this is a gateway for the devil to 43:03 enter the heart. The trait of 43:05 stinginess. There is bakhil or, uh, 43:09 bukhl. There is another one called syuh 43:14 . Now, this is different. If we 43:17 translate syuh, it means stingy. Bukhl 43:20 means stingy too, or miserly. They are 43:23 similar, but the actual meaning is 43:25 different. If bakhil, it is being 43:27 stingy toward others; that is what 43:29 bakhil means. I don't want to share 43:31 goods with others; that is what I call 43:33 being bakhil. But syuh is a person who 43:36 is stingy toward themselves. So if they 43:40 are stingy with themselves, what more 43:42 toward others. Waman yukha nafsihi. Yes 43:47 , whoever is protected by Allah from 43:49 being stingy to their own self, that is 43:52 what syuh is. This is even more 43:55 dangerous, right. Uh, so the entry 43:59 point is this, which is bukhl. So if 44:03 bukhl becomes a gateway, especially 44:05 syuh. wa khauful faqri, and the fear of 44:09 poverty, fear of becoming a poor person 44:12 . So, being a poor person is scary. 44:15 Poverty can be good, poverty can also 44:18 be bad. It depends on who the person is 44:22 . We should not criticize, okay. The 44:26 Prophet was an entrepreneur, right, 44:27 before he was a Prophet. After becoming 44:30 a messenger, he stopped, right. He just 44:33 used to trade. Why? So that the Prophet 44:37 could be emulated by everyone. If the 44:40 Prophet were a rich man, then who could 44:43 emulate him? Yes. Yes. But if the 44:47 Prophet was poor, anyone can live that 44:50 life. The rich can become poor, but 44:54 it's hard for the poor to become rich. 44:57 The Prophet must be someone we can 44:59 follow, right? The Prophet performed 45:01 the Hajj pilgrimage only once. Imagine 45:03 if the Prophet had done it two or three 45:04 times. The Prophet is a perfect example 45:06 for us. If the Prophet performed Hajj 45:08 five times, what would happen to his 45:10 followers? Who would be able to follow 45:12 that? So, the Prophet did things that 45:15 could be followed by all levels of 45:17 society or the community. I knew a 45:23 married couple; they were rich, but 45:26 they dressed like beggars. His wife was 45:31 embarrassed to have a husband like that 45:33 and asked him to at least dress 45:35 properly for once. He said, "I am just 45:39 following my role model.""Well, who is 45:42 your role model?""My role model is the 45:44 Caliph, Sayidina Ali." Eventually, she 45:48 took her husband to see Sayidina Ali. 45:51 When she reported it to Sayidina Ali, 45:53 he scolded the husband. "You are 45:55 mistaken," he said. "God is pleased 45:59 when you show the effects of the 46:02 blessings He has given you.""Dress in 46:06 appropriate clothing.""But I am trying 46:09 to follow my role model," he replied. " 46:12 Who is your role model?""You, the 46:14 Caliph himself.""You hold the keys to 46:18 the warehouse in your hands.""You can 46:22 eat any delicious food you want; the 46:24 keys are in your hands.""You could wear 46:28 the most luxurious clothes, so why 46:31 don't you?""Ah, that is exactly what I 46:34 am following." What did Sayidina Ali 46:37 say? "Brother, you and I are different. 46:41 ""You are not being monitored by..."" 46:46 ...the people.""Now, I am a leader of a 46:50 nation.""I am constantly being 46:54 monitored by all the people." Hmm. "If 46:59 I wear luxurious clothes and eat 47:00 delicious food, it will hurt the 47:02 feelings of the common people.""The 47:07 little people will have their hearts 47:08 wounded, you see.""But if I dress 47:13 simply and eat simple food, it will 47:16 comfort the hearts of the common people 47:19 ." That's how it is. Just look at the 47:23 president. Ah, yes. Especially as a 47:27 president, he could have everything— 47:29 luxurious clothes, delicious food—but 47:32 he doesn't have those things. It 47:35 comforts the hearts of the little 47:38 people. "That is why I do it, Brother." 47:42 "But you are not me," said Sayidina Ali 47:45 . Only then was he willing to dress 47:48 properly. That is the greatness of 47:49 Sayidina Ali. this. This is stinginess, 47:53 right? Then what?[Arabic phrase][Arabic 48:01 phrase][Arabic phrase][Arabic phrase] 48:13 Yes. So, fear of poverty prevents us 48:18 from being willing to give to charity, 48:21 leading to stinginess. Whereas the 48:25 pillars of the world—not just a 48:26 country, but the world—stand because 48:29 of four types of people, according to 48:31 the Prophet. One, the justice of the 48:33 leaders. Yes, leaders who are just and 48:39 treat everyone the same. Not taking 48:45 sides with one person over another. 48:50 That is because these leaders view 48:53 everyone as children who must be 48:55 treated with justice. And when that 49:00 justice was tarnished, it caused the 49:03 downfall of the nations before the 49:05 Islamic community. That happened 49:08 because when the powerful people 49:09 ignored the law, the law became blunt. 49:13 But when it comes to the poor, the law 49:16 is incredibly sharp. In the era before 49:21 Islam arrived, in Mecca, there were 49:23 four groups. The first were the wealthy 49:29 indigenous people. Now, they were 49:31 immune to the law. Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab, 49:34 were wealthy indigenous people; they 49:36 were untouchable by the law. They could 49:40 do whatever they wanted. The second 49:43 group were the wealthy, but not 49:45 indigenous. They were still subject to 49:47 the law. Yes. They were still subject 49:50 to the law. But sometimes, in some 49:52 countries, if they are rich even as 49:55 non-indigenous immigrants, they are 49:57 immune too. Now, this is even worse 50:00 than the Jahiliyyah era. In the 50:02 Jahiliyyah era, even if you were rich, 50:03 if you weren't indigenous, you were 50:05 subject to the law. The third group now 50:10 are indigenous but poor. Also subject 50:14 to the law; the worst case is being 50:16 poor and an immigrant, not indigenous. 50:20 That’s it. That was in the Jahiliyyah 50:23 era. Once Islam arrived, there was no 50:27 rich, no poor, no indigenous, no 50:29 immigrant. Justice reaches everyone. 50:35 This is Islam. Islamic Sharia is like 50:38 that. It’s extraordinary. Uh so 50:46 because of stinginess, they don't want 50:48 to donate or give alms. The second 50:51 thing that upholds this world is* 50:53 bi-ilmil ulama*. Through the knowledge 50:58 of the scholars, yes. The knowledge of 51:00 the scholars. So, it is the scholars 51:02 who spread knowledge. Ah, that is 51:05 providing guidance. So, *hudat*, 51:08 guidance; yes, guided by the scholars. 51:12 Now, the*umara*(leaders) are the ones 51:14 holding what you call? The gavel. 51:17 Holding the gavel, so to speak. Then 51:21 what follows next?*Bi-sakhawatil 51:24 aghniya*. The wealthy are generous and 51:28 have a sense of care. So the leaders 51:32 are just, the scholars are willing to 51:35 impart knowledge, and the wealthy are 51:37 willing to share. Yes, that’s it. 51:42 Then the last one, *bi-da’watil 51:45 fuqara*. The prayers of the poor, the 51:49 destitute. Yes, the poor are also 51:52 useful. What is their usefulness? Their 51:54 prayers. It's not certain that the 51:57 prayer of a*kiai*(cleric) is heard, 52:00 it's not certain. Actually, it is the 52:02 prayer of the poor that is heard by 52:04 Allah. And that is possible. Ahah. That 52:10 is regarding the, uh, gate, I don't 52:12 know which number it is. There is one 52:18 Hadith, but this is a*da'if*(weak) 52:20 Hadith. Abu Umamah al-Bahili said, " 52:25 Inna Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi 52:27 wasallam qal," that the Messenger of 52:29 Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Inna 52:31 iblis lamma""nazala nuzilal ardhi qala: 52:38 ya rab anzaltani ilal ard wa ja'altani 52:41 rajiman faj'ali baitan qala alham." The 52:47 Messenger said, "Indeed, when Iblis was 52:51 sent down to earth, he said,' O Lord, 52:54 You have sent me down to this earth and 52:58 made me a*rajim*, one who is stoned, 53:01 who is cursed. '""So make a house for 53:06 me.""Qala alham," asking for a place to 53:10 live. Allah said, "Fine, I will give it 53:14 ," that is Allah. Even Iblis, who is so 53:16 rebellious, when he asks, it is still 53:18 granted by Allah. Especially us humans, 53:21 right? That’s why don’t despair. 53:25 Your house is the bathroom. Ham. 53:30 That’s why when we want to enter the 53:32 bathroom, the WC, right? Now it's 53:35 called a bathroom because bathrooms 53:36 have toilets now, right? "Allahumma 53:39 inni a'udzubika minal khubutsi wal 53:42 khabaits," right? Yeah. Well, that is 53:46 their home. Their home. That's why when 53:48 we enter, we read that prayer. If not, 53:50 when we go to the bathroom, they will 53:52 plug our rear ends. It becomes hard to 53:54 pass because we are plugged by them. 53:56 Then he said, "Grant me a gathering 53:59 place," and He said, "The markets and 54:01 the street corners." So he begged again 54:05 , "I also ask for a gathering place," 54:06 like how we have gatherings for 54:07 knowledge. Well, he also wanted to have 54:11 a gathering. In that gathering, he 54:14 later chats with his friends, gathers, 54:17 discusses, and so on, and God granted 54:20 it. And what is that? Al-Aswaq, the 54:23 market. So the market is the devil's 54:26 gathering place. So if in the market 54:30 there are many scammers, well, it is 54:33 indeed the devil's place, and also 54:35 places where people gather on the 54:37 streets, hanging out, those street 54:40 corners are also the devil's gathering 54:42 places. That's why you don't see 54:45 scholars hanging out on street corners, 54:47 right? Why? Because scholars know that 54:49 is the devil's gathering place. Qaman 54:54 qamukamullah alaih. "O Allah, give me 54:59 food." Then Allah said, "Your food is 55:04 everything over which the name of Allah 55:06 is not mentioned." People slaughtering 55:10 without the name of Allah. Eating 55:11 without saying bismillah. That is said 55:13 to be your food. Oh. That's why if we 55:17 eat without saying bismillah, it means 55:19 we have given charity to the devil. Yes 55:23 , because of that, the Prophet said, if 55:26 we forget to say bismillah at the 55:28 beginning, then immediately say " 55:30 Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu." Now, 55:34 if we say that, even though the devil 55:36 ate with us at the beginning. Just 55:39 before finishing, we remember we hadn't 55:42 said bismillah earlier. Say "Bismillahi 55:45 awwalahu wa akhirahu." Yes, so what the 55:48 devil has already eaten will come out; 55:49 he will vomit it up. That. Don't let 55:54 the devil eat. That's why there's a 55:59 story of a devil who tempts believers 56:01 meeting one who tempts disobedient and 56:04 kafir people. The one who tempts 56:08 disobedient and kafir people is fat. 56:12 The one who tempts believers is thin, 56:14 pale, and malnourished. 56:16 Yes. When they met, he asked, "Why are 56:19 you so thin?""And why are you so fat?"" 56:23 How could I not be thin?""He says he 56:25 reads bismillah when he wants to eat 56:26 and mentions the name of Allah when he 56:28 wants to drink.""In the end, I go 56:30 hungry and thirsty.""Even when he wants 56:33 to have intercourse, he reads bismillah 56:35 too.""Yes, I just watch from afar.""Wow 56:40 , I'm lucky," said the other. "Why?""He 56:43 eats without saying bismillah, so I get 56:45 to eat too.""He drinks without saying 56:48 bismillah, I drink too.""He has 56:50 intercourse without mentioning the name 56:52 of Allah, I join in too." Just like 56:54 that, see. That's why he's so fat. Then 57:00 the devil said again, "Waqala ij'alli 57:02 saroban.""I also ask for a drink, O 57:05 Allah." He said, "O intoxicators, your 57:07 drink is everything that intoxicates; 57:10 that is your drink." Intoxicating 57:13 drinks are the devil's drinks. He said, 57:16 "Give me a caller," and he replied, " 57:18 The pipes." Well, then make it, also 57:20 ask for a caller who reminds. Well, 57:23 your caller is the pipes. What are the 57:25 pipes? Flutes. That's why some say it's 57:30 forbidden, uh, what is it, uh, this 57:33 music. Well, perhaps it's based on this 57:35 . But remember, these are weak hadiths, 57:37 you know. But for virtuous deeds, it's 57:40 fine. He said, "Give me a Quran," also 57:43 asking for a Quran. If Muslims have a 57:46 Quran. Well, I also have a reading. 57:49 What is "qolasir"? Your reading is 57:52 poetry. That is your reading, songs. 57:55 Yes. Ah, he said, "Give me a book." 57:59 Then asked for a book. He said, " 58:01 Tattoos." A book. Your book is tattoos. 58:04 What are tattoos? Tattoos. So Muslims, 58:08 look, Muslims don't have tattoos, right 58:10 ? If there are those who weren't aware 58:14 before, hadn't repented, I have a 58:17 congregant with a tattoo right here. 58:21 Then he went on Hajj and once he 58:23 realized, he said, "Oh." So if, if this 58:26 , he likes to keep it covered like this 58:28 . Hm. So after he realized, he believed 58:32 that it wasn't good, right? Indeed, 58:36 getting a tattoo is forbidden by law. 58:38 It's not allowed, it's not allowed 58:40 because it causes harm. "La darara wala 58:43 dirar," said the Prophet, do not harm 58:45 yourself and do not harm others. Well, 58:49 being pricked like that is painful, 58:51 right? But if you've already done it, 58:55 and now you have it removed, that's 58:58 also hurting yourself, which is not 59:00 allowed. I have a congregant named 59:04 Tajudin. His child was really 59:08 rebellious; he almost hit his father 59:11 with a hoe. "I, Ustaz, the hoe almost 59:15 hit my head by just one centimeter." 59:18 Indeed, my life was still protected by 59:20 Allah. Huh. "I'm safe," he said. "I'm 59:25 so happy now that my child, Ustaz, 59:28 wants to pray," he said. Wow, there was 59:31 no gift that made me happier than 59:33 seeing my child, he said, wanting to 59:36 pray. About two or three months of 59:41 praying, he stopped praying again. 59:44 Finally, he was asked, "Why?""He said 59:47 he stopped praying again, Dad." He said 59:49 praying was useless anyway. "Why, why 59:52 useless?""Well, my body is full of 59:55 tattoos." Well, like that. Full of 59:57 tattoos. If the body has tattoos, he 59:59 said, the wudu is invalid. If the wudu 1:00:02 is invalid, the prayer is also invalid. 1:00:04 So if he prays and it's said to be 1:00:06 invalid, he gets punished. If he 1:00:09 doesn't pray, he's doomed anyway, right 1:00:11 ? Better not to pray at all, that's the 1:00:13 logic, right? Yes, now not praying 1:00:16 means hell. If the prayer isn't 1:00:18 accepted, it's hell too. Tired of hell, 1:00:20 right. Better just not to pray at all. 1:00:22 He said that. Yes. "I didn't know, 1:00:29 Ustaz," he said, "if indeed tattoos 1:00:33 make wudu invalid." Finally, just go 1:00:39 meet Ustaz Jazuli, go there and try 1:00:41 asking the Ustaz. Yes, one day when I 1:00:47 met him. "Ustaz, I need to talk to you. 1:00:50 ""Come on, come on," I said. "But sorry 1:00:54 ," he said, "it's on the street.""It's 1:00:55 okay.""Come, let's sit." Hm. "What's 1:00:58 the matter?" He told me that he had 1:01:00 stopped praying because his ablution ( 1:01:03 wudu) was invalid. "Wait, who told you 1:01:06 your wudu is invalid?""What's the 1:01:09 reason?""Well, my body, Ustaz, has a 1:01:11 tattoo.""My wudu is invalid.""They also 1:01:14 said my ritual bath (ghusl) is invalid. 1:01:15 ""Who told you that?""That's what my 1:01:20 friend said.""Does your friend pray?"" 1:01:22 No, sir.""And you listen to someone who 1:01:24 doesn't pray?""Yes, you listen to 1:01:27 people who don't pray.""If a cleric 1:01:30 told you that, you could listen.""You 1:01:33 listen to people like that.""They just 1:01:36 want you to stop praying so you'll join 1:01:38 them.""Now, listen.""That's the second 1:01:43 thing.""A condition for wudu is...""... 1:01:51 on the skin, the requirement is that 1:01:53 the surface of the skin must be touched 1:01:56 by water.""Yes.""Therefore, there 1:02:02 cannot be anything blocking the water 1:02:05 from reaching the skin surface.""Like 1:02:08 what?""For example, paint; that must be 1:02:12 removed.""Also, women like to use nail 1:02:15 polish; that must be removed.""Now."" 1:02:20 Now, let me ask, is that tattoo on the 1:02:23 outside of the skin or inside?""Inside, 1:02:28 Ustaz.""Exactly.""If it's inside, 1:02:30 there's no problem.""There's no problem 1:02:34 at all.""Except for those temporary 1:02:37 tattoos kids stick on.""Those are on 1:02:40 the outside of the skin surface, so 1:02:43 they must be removed.""Oh, so it's 1:02:46 valid, Ustaz? Valid.""Don't ever listen 1:02:48 to that person who said that.""Unless 1:02:51 the person who said it was an ustaz or 1:02:54 a cleric.""I met that person earlier."" 1:02:58 I'll take responsibility for it," I 1:03:00 said. "Alhamdulillah, he started 1:03:03 praying again.""Not long after, his 1:03:05 father came again.""Alhamdulillah, 1:03:08 Ustaz, he's praying again now.""Yes."" 1:03:12 Well, that's good.""Alhamdulillah."" 1:03:14 That's how it is.""So that's it.""Oh 1:03:19 dear.""It's already, already passed."" 1:03:23 Yeah.""Actually, there's one more, well 1:03:26 , there are two more.""Let's just 1:03:29 shorten it.""The next one is' taasub '. 1:03:32 ""What does' taasub 'mean?""Fanaticism; 1:03:35 being fanatical about a school of 1:03:37 thought or a teacher.""That's not right 1:03:40 .""Beware, this fanaticism causes you 1:03:44 to think that because you are part of 1:03:46 NU, whatever an NU figure says must be 1:03:48 true.""Don't think that because you are 1:03:53 Muhammadiyah, whatever a Muhammadiyah 1:03:55 figure says is flawless.""Everything is 1:03:57 right, everything is followed.""Don't 1:03:59 be like that.""We must be brave enough 1:04:04 to say it's wrong if it is wrong, even 1:04:07 if it comes from our own figures or 1:04:10 those we highly respect.""And we must 1:04:14 be brave enough to say it's true, even 1:04:17 if it comes from the person we hate the 1:04:20 most.""Don't, don't, don't be fanatical 1:04:25 .""Don't be a fanatic of a school of 1:04:26 thought." Being a fanatic about Islam 1:04:27 is mandatory. Fanaticism toward a 1:04:29 school of thought. Fanaticism toward a 1:04:30 cleric. These are acts that lead us to 1:04:34 being compromised; we have opened the 1:04:37 door for Satan to enter. Then the last 1:04:41 one, well, the next one is having 1:04:44 prejudice against fellow Muslims. 1:04:48 Thinking ill of fellow Muslims. And 1:04:51 furthermore, it is when a layman 1:04:55 crosses the line by acting like a 1:05:00 scholar, delivering fatwas when it is 1:05:04 not yet his time to deliver rulings; it 1:05:09 could lead to ruin, it could lead to 1:05:14 destruction. Then this community, if a 1:05:19 layman speaks when it is not his 1:05:22 capacity to speak. If this belongs to 1:05:27 the scholars, let the scholars speak. 1:05:30 Yes, that's right. Sometimes people 1:05:32 take over roles that should be 1:05:34 performed by scholars. It becomes a 1:05:38 laughingstock for others. Remember, 1:05:40 there are four types of knowledge. 1:05:42 Knowledge known only by Allah. Even the 1:05:45 prophets do not know it. Second, 1:05:47 knowledge known only by the prophets. 1:05:50 Yes, the scholars do not know it. For 1:05:52 example, this is the third: knowledge 1:05:54 known only by scholars, understood by 1:05:56 scholars. If the scholars already know 1:05:59 it, let alone the prophets and Allah, 1:06:01 it is clear that laypeople do not know 1:06:03 it. Laypeople should not do things that 1:06:07 should only be done by scholars, you 1:06:08 see. Now, this is dangerous; laypeople 1:06:13 saying "this is not allowed, the ruling 1:06:15 is this" and so on. Even though that is 1:06:18 not their place. That is why we must be 1:06:20 careful to place ourselves 1:06:21 appropriately. Khairunas man ya'rif 1:06:23 qadrah. The best of humans is one who 1:06:25 knows their own standing. What level am 1:06:28 I? Well, know yourself. Know your place 1:06:31 . If we know our place, God willing, we 1:06:32 will be careful. But if not, eventually 1:06:35 the cleric's role is taken. The ustaz's 1:06:39 role is taken. Even though they are not 1:06:40 a cleric, not an ustaz, not someone who 1:06:41 understands religion. Wow, this is 1:06:43 dangerous if it gets like this. Perhaps 1:06:46 this is what I can convey this morning. 1:06:48 Wallahu a'lam. Alhamdulillahi 1:06:49 rabbil' alamin. Brothers and sisters, 1:06:52 we have followed the end of the ustaz's 1:06:54 study, which is the doors of Satan's 1:06:55 entry into the heart. We invite 1:06:58 brothers and sisters, there is still 1:06:59 some time left, even if only a few 1:07:01 minutes. Please contact us for 1:07:03 questions at number 0218451512. That is 1:07:10 for telephone, and for SMS and WhatsApp 1:07:12 at 0811999720. God willing, we will 1:07:19 return shortly after the following 1:07:21 nasyid break. Subhanahu wa ta'ala. We 1:10:30 have entered the Q&A session regarding 1:10:32 our theme, which is the doors of 1:10:34 Satan's entry into the heart. And I 1:10:37 will read the first question from a 1:10:38 servant of Allah, Ustaz. Peace be upon 1:10:40 you, and Allah's mercy and blessings, 1:10:42 Ustaz Ahmad Jazuli. 1:10:43 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:10:45 mercy and blessings. 1:10:46 Greetings, Ustaz, they say, may you 1:10:47 always be healthy. 1:10:48 Amen. Amen. Thank you. This is for your 1:10:51 study, they say. Ustaz, I want to ask, 1:10:55 what about people who are destitute or 1:10:57 poor, Ustaz, who are arrogant, who 1:10:59 arbitrarily sell or open a stall in 1:11:02 front of our house; when we rebuke them 1:11:04 , they get angry and say we are both 1:11:06 just trying to make money. Why be 1:11:09 arrogant just because you have a large 1:11:11 yard? And we feel helpless, Ustaz, 1:11:14 because we don't want to hurt their 1:11:16 feelings. But their activities are very 1:11:19 disruptive, and they didn't ask for any 1:11:21 permission from us, Ustaz, as the 1:11:23 landowners. Please give us some advice, 1:11:25 Ustaz. 1:11:27 Yes. In the name of Allah, the Most 1:11:29 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Allah, uh, 1:11:37 loves older people who are diligent in 1:11:40 their worship. He loves them very much. 1:11:45 Allah loves young people who worship 1:11:48 even more; He loves them even more. 1:11:51 Allah hates arrogant rich people, but 1:11:58 Allah hates arrogant poor people even 1:12:00 more. I mean, what what is there to be 1:12:08 arrogant about, right? Yeah. Islam, as 1:12:12 brought by the Prophet, has a goal. 1:12:14 What is that goal? For the welfare of 1:12:17 humanity in their lives here and 1:12:18 hereafter. The goal is for humans to be 1:12:22 happy in this world and the hereafter. 1:12:26 This is the purpose of religion. Now, 1:12:28 furthermore, religion discusses all 1:12:33 aspects of life; they are all covered 1:12:36 by religion. Just look, even nail 1:12:41 clipping is regulated, combing hair, 1:12:43 wearing clothes. Trivial things like 1:12:47 that are regulated, let alone big 1:12:49 things. Now, furthermore, Islamic 1:12:53 teachings have two, what do you call 1:12:55 them? Relationships. On one hand, we 1:12:58 are creatures, so we certainly have 1:13:00 rules between the creature and the 1:13:03 Creator. But on the other hand, we are 1:13:06 also social beings, right? Yes, so we 1:13:09 certainly have rules regarding*hablum 1:13:11 minannas*(relations among people). How 1:13:14 to be a neighbor, how to be a sibling, 1:13:17 the relationship between student and 1:13:19 teacher, child and parent, with 1:13:21 neighbors, and with others. Now, there 1:13:24 are rules for this. When those rules 1:13:28 are followed, there will be a reward. A 1:13:33 recompense. From Allah. Good deeds will 1:13:35 be rewarded with good. Bad deeds will 1:13:37 be rewarded with bad. Is there any 1:13:39 reward for good other than good? Now, 1:13:43 furthermore, someone who wants to open 1:13:46 a business, that cannot just be done 1:13:50 without any, what do you call it, rules 1:13:54 . Now, what should a trader do if they 1:14:00 are on someone else's property? 1:14:03 Everyone knows that, right? At the very 1:14:06 least, ask for permission. Whether that 1:14:08 permission is granted or not, even in 1:14:14 religion, actually, if for example this 1:14:17 is a house with a garden, say it's 1:14:20 Olin's garden, I should ask for 1:14:22 permission just to pass through Olin's 1:14:25 garden, whether the owner allows it or 1:14:31 not; it's actually that detailed. The 1:14:36 owner of the garden might not want us 1:14:38 to go in there, let alone take anything 1:14:40 from the garden. So, there are rules, 1:14:46 yes. Therefore, we should all try to 1:14:51 learn religion so we understand the 1:14:55 rules of life, how to be a neighbor, 1:14:59 and how to live in society. So, ma'am, 1:15:04 you are clearly not wrong; I'm not just 1:15:06 taking your side. The trader is 1:15:10 definitely not right to do that. It is 1:15:14 called using someone else's property 1:15:17 without permission. Yes, in religious 1:15:20 terms, it is called*ghasab*(usurpation) 1:15:22 . *Alghasbu minal akabir*(Usurpation is 1:15:25 a major sin). It is categorized as a 1:15:27 major sin. Categorized as a major sin. 1:15:31 Yes. So, if you, Ma'am, remove that 1:15:37 person from your yard, it is not wrong 1:15:40 according to fiqh. But if, for instance 1:15:46 , you allow them to stay because you 1:15:49 feel pity, based on humanity or 1:15:52 something? Yes, humanity, for example. 1:15:57 Someone earning a living is indeed 1:15:59 extraordinary. Extraordinary. Even 1:16:02 though they didn't rent the space or 1:16:04 ask for permission, you let them be. 1:16:07 That is extraordinary. But if you then 1:16:11 ask them to leave your yard, that is 1:16:16 also not a mistake. Especially since 1:16:20 this person did not ask for your 1:16:22 permission. God knows best. 1:16:24 So the choice is given to you, 1:16:26 hopefully the best choice and may you 1:16:28 be given a solution, Ma'am. Wherever 1:16:31 you may be. I will move on to the next 1:16:33 question. Still from a servant of God 1:16:34 in Jakarta. Peace be upon you, and 1:16:36 Allah's mercy and blessings, Ustaz 1:16:37 Jazuli Khalir. 1:16:38 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:16:40 mercy and blessings. 1:16:41 Are busy morning activities that feel 1:16:44 rushed because of time constraints, 1:16:46 even though they were planned and 1:16:49 organized beforehand, also from Satan, 1:16:52 Ustaz? 1:16:53 Alright. In the name of Allah, the Most 1:16:55 Gracious, the Most Merciful. I remember 1:17:00 a time when there was a group of 1:17:05 Muslims in a mosque. Once the Fajr 1:17:10 prayer was finished, they held a study 1:17:13 session. Now, some of the congregation 1:17:18 left because they had to go to work. 1:17:24 Then someone said this. "Look, those 1:17:29 are people chasing the flag of Satan." 1:17:34 So, it was as if those who left the 1:17:36 mosque and didn't listen to the 1:17:38 teaching to the end were doing so 1:17:41 because they had to go to work. Yes, 1:17:45 they were called "chasing the flag of 1:17:47 Satan" because they prioritized money. 1:17:50 Whereas, one day the Prophet Muhammad, 1:17:53 peace be upon him, was sitting with his 1:17:57 companions when a strong, sturdy young 1:18:00 man walked by carrying firewood. The 1:18:04 companions said, "Woe to you, O young 1:18:07 man.""It is said, if only you used that 1:18:11 great body of yours for jihad in the 1:18:14 way of Allah.""That would be 1:18:17 extraordinary," they said. The Prophet 1:18:19 said, "Do not say that.""If he goes out 1:18:24 to sell that firewood to support 1:18:28 himself and meet his needs so he 1:18:31 doesn't have to beg from others, he is 1:18:35 in the way of Allah.""Fi sabilillah." 1:18:40 That person, said the Prophet. "Or if 1:18:42 he is already self-sufficient, but he 1:18:45 wants to provide for his frail parents, 1:18:48 he is also in the way of Allah.""And if 1:18:53 he has enough for himself, but wants to 1:18:55 be able to provide for his neighbors, 1:18:57 that act is also fi sabilillah.""But if 1:19:02 he does it to hoard wealth, then that 1:19:04 is fi sabil Satan (in the way of Satan) 1:19:07 ," said the Prophet. So it is not right 1:19:11 to call someone who leaves for work as 1:19:13 "chasing the flag of Satan." We have 1:19:19 obligations to enter an institution or 1:19:23 company where we work at a certain time 1:19:27 . And Jakarta is known for its traffic. 1:19:31 If we leave at a certain hour, it means 1:19:33 we would be breaking the rules. So, 1:19:35 there you go. Yes, is this something 1:19:38 that comes from Satan? No, it is not. 1:19:40 In fact, this comes from Allah. Because 1:19:44 we indeed must be punctual, and that is 1:19:47 the rule for which we are paid. Paid 1:19:50 for that. So, carrying out duties in 1:19:54 accordance with the provisions set for 1:19:58 us is a good deed that we perform, it 1:20:02 is not something from Satan. Only Allah 1:20:06 knows best. Alright, one more question, 1:20:08 Ustaz. There is still time. Peace be 1:20:09 upon you, and Allah's mercy and 1:20:11 blessings, Ustaz. 1:20:11 And peace be upon you, and Allah's 1:20:12 mercy and blessings. 1:20:13 Mr. Hambali in Bekasi, Ustaz. Through 1:20:17 which door does Satan enter, Ustaz, for 1:20:19 my family or relatives who, when 1:20:21 discussing political opponents or those 1:20:24 with views contrary to their own 1:20:26 choices, use harsh words, inappropriate 1:20:29 language, and even act with hostility, 1:20:31 Ustaz? And how should I respond to this 1:20:35 ? Very well. The companion Ibn Mas'ud, 1:20:42 may Allah be pleased with him, once 1:20:44 said something like this, Sir. Yes, Ibn 1:20:47 Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, 1:20:50 said there was a group of people, these 1:20:55 people were performing dhikr to Allah. 1:20:59 Performing dhikr to Allah. Then Satan 1:21:03 entered among them. He entered. 1:21:06 Satan’s goal was for those who were 1:21:09 doing dhikr to stand up and leave, 1:21:11 being whispered to by Satan. But it had 1:21:15 no effect. They continued to perform 1:21:18 dhikr to Allah. So, finally, Satan 1:21:22 approached two other groups of people. 1:21:27 Let’s say, for example, supporters of 1:21:30 Prabowo and supporters of Jokowi. 1:21:33 They were chatting there. 1:21:35 Then they were whispered to by Satan, 1:21:38 these supporters. They started boasting 1:21:41 , praising their own, and couldn't 1:21:42 accept the others. They ended up 1:21:46 fighting, the two groups started 1:21:48 throwing punches. This is not Satan's 1:21:51 ultimate goal. It is not Satan's goal 1:21:55 just to make these two people fight. 1:21:58 No. Eventually, the people who were 1:22:01 doing dhikr felt disturbed. They 1:22:05 finally got up and left that place to 1:22:10 break up the fight. This is what Satan 1:22:13 intended. The fight. 1:22:16 How to get the people who were 1:22:18 steadfast in their dhikr to stop their 1:22:21 dhikr. As for the fighting, that is 1:22:25 just a tool. These arguing people are 1:22:29 merely tools for Satan, not the goal 1:22:32 itself in this context. I will...what 1:22:36 do you call it? Ah, just like that. 1:22:39 That’s how clever Satan is. 1:22:42 Those who were initially at peace doing 1:22:44 dhikr, they left. 1:22:47 The teacher who was initially steadfast 1:22:49 also came down after seeing the 1:22:51 commotion. This is what is desired by 1:22:53 Satan. "Come on, leave your hermitage, 1:22:56 everyone.""Leave your boarding school, 1:22:58 everyone." Then a chaotic scene erupted 1:23:02 . Now, we must be vigilant about this. 1:23:05 How extraordinary is, what do you call 1:23:07 it? Satan, yes. Right. Right. I once 1:23:13 said before, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jailani 1:23:17 , when he was walking, clouds shaded 1:23:23 him. Extraordinary. Then, suddenly, 1:23:27 rain came down. Ah, I want a drink. Eh, 1:23:31 beneath the clouds there was a light. 1:23:35 From this light came words, saying, " 1:23:39 Abdul Qadir, I am pleased with you, so 1:23:44 from now on, I permit for you what was 1:23:48 previously forbidden to you." Sheikh 1:23:54 Abdul Qadir immediately said, "Idhab ya 1:23:56 la'natallah.""Go away, you creature 1:24:00 cursed by Allah." That is what the 1:24:03 devil said. The devil thought Sheikh 1:24:07 Abdul Qadir would be deceived. Because 1:24:09 he thought he could pretend to be Allah 1:24:12 speaking. Then the devil said, "Abdul 1:24:16 Qadir, how did you know it was me? Even 1:24:22 though through this method, I have 1:24:25 misled many people like you, making 1:24:27 them think I am God.""Well, I knew, 1:24:33 firstly because Allah is not related to 1:24:36 any direction. Not above, not below, 1:24:40 whereas you are above.""Secondly, Allah 1:24:44 , in speaking, does not use voice or 1:24:46 letters, yet your voice is clear.""Yes. 1:24:49 ""The third, Allah is 'laisa kamislihi 1:24:52 syai'un'.""Nothing resembles Him, and 1:24:55 He resembles nothing.""Whereas you 1:24:57 appear as a light, just like the lamp 1:24:59 in my house.""The fourth, the name of 1:25:04 Allah—you devil—if He forbids 1:25:06 something once, it remains forbidden 1:25:08 forever.""Allah never forbids what He 1:25:13 has permitted, nor permits what He has 1:25:14 forbidden.""The one who usually permits 1:25:18 what is forbidden, or vice versa, 1:25:20 forbids what is permitted, that is your 1:25:22 work." Then the devil, having lost, 1:25:28 tried another way. What did the devil 1:25:32 say? "You are extraordinary, Abdul 1:25:35 Qadir," he said. "Because of your 1:25:39 immense knowledge, you were able to 1:25:42 survive my trickery." Ah, the devil was 1:25:45 tempting him in a more sophisticated 1:25:46 way. Trying to plant the trait of 1:25:50 arrogance (ujub) in Sheikh Abdul 1:25:52 Qadir's heart, that he was able to be 1:25:56 saved. So Sheikh Abdul Qadir was 1:25:58 praised by the devil. Sheikh Abdul 1:26:02 Qadir knew that the devil was trying a 1:26:04 much more subtle method than the first. 1:26:07 Namely, planting pride within himself. 1:26:12 So Sheikh Abdul Qadir said, "You are 1:26:15 wrong, devil, if I am saved from your 1:26:18 trickery, it is not because of my high 1:26:21 knowledge.""No.""This is because of the 1:26:24 grace of Allah.""If it were not for the 1:26:28 grace of Allah, I would be the same.""I 1:26:30 would not be able to do anything." 1:26:32 Defeated, twice. This is often 1:26:36 instilled in us, whether among siblings 1:26:40 or others. I mean, I am actually 1:26:44 different from my wife. But we never 1:26:48 fight. To be honest, I prefer to 1:26:51 support, what's his name, Mr. Prabowo, 1:26:53 but my wife actually supports Mr. Sandi 1:26:55 ; well, there is no problem. It is not 1:27:00 an issue for me, even though we are 1:27:01 different. Even though we are different 1:27:04 , my wife and I still get along. 1:27:06 Yes, Ustadz. 1:27:07 This is political education. 1:27:08 Correct. 1:27:09 Huh? Do not fight because of 1:27:11 differences, okay? Just because of such 1:27:13 a small matter. My nieces and nephews 1:27:15 are different, you know. Just normal, 1:27:17 really. Why? Why make such a fuss over 1:27:20 something like this? I’ve never had a 1:27:23 niece or nephew support someone 1:27:25 different than me. Well, that’s their 1:27:28 right. They just feel convinced, that's 1:27:31 all. Now, it's the same for you, sir. 1:27:35 Please choose who is most suitable 1:27:38 according to your own beliefs, but 1:27:40 don't just follow the crowd. Don't just 1:27:44 follow the crowd. You can read what has 1:27:47 been happening all this time, right? 1:27:50 Yes, under Mr. Jokowi's leadership, for 1:27:53 example. Whether it's good or not, you 1:27:56 know. If you are convinced that Jokowi 1:27:59 is the next better leader candidate. 1:28:01 Choose him. If you say, "I'm doubtful 1:28:04 about him," then leave him and switch 1:28:06 to Mr. Prabowo. And that's that, it's 1:28:08 finished. And we are a democracy. Our 1:28:13 country guarantees that everyone can 1:28:15 choose who they want; people are 1:28:17 protected by the law. Yes. Now, if we 1:28:21 fight over this matter and oppose one 1:28:25 another, that means we are letting 1:28:28 Satan enter our hearts through what? 1:28:32 Through our fanaticism, right? Through 1:28:38 fanaticism and through our ego. Even 1:28:41 though that is very dangerous. Perhaps 1:28:42 that is how it is. Ah, may Allah 1:28:45 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala always protect us 1:28:47 all, guide our hearts to the path that 1:28:49 is blessed and loved by Him, and always 1:28:51 bestow grace, guidance, and direction 1:28:53 upon us, our children, and our 1:28:55 grandchildren so that we can remain 1:28:56 steadfast in carrying out His commands 1:28:58 and avoiding His prohibitions. Rabbana 1:29:01 taqobbal minna duana sir amalina 1:29:03 birahmatika ya arhamar rahimin. 1:29:05 Wasallallahu ala sayidina Muhammad 1:29:07 wasallam. Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin. 1:29:09 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi 1:29:11 wabarakatuh. Waalaikumsalam 1:29:13 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. 1:29:15 Alhamdulillah, brothers and sisters, we 1:29:17 say jazakallah khairan kasiran to our 1:29:19 teacher, Ustaz Ahmad Jazuli Khalil, for 1:29:21 his knowledge and his warnings to us. 1:29:24 Of course, may our hearts be guarded 1:29:26 from the entry of Satan through the 1:29:29 open doors that have the potential to 1:29:31 be whispered into by Satan. God willing 1:29:34 , our study this morning is of great 1:29:36 benefit. And I, Karolin, also apologize 1:29:38 to the listeners who sent their 1:29:40 questions via WhatsApp, especially 1:29:41 those that could not be discussed by 1:29:43 the Ustaz. E, 1:29:53 alhamdulillah, it seems many are 1:29:55 interested in our study today, Ustaz. 1:29:57 Hopefully, it will be counted as a 1:29:59 continuous charity and rewarded for the 1:30:01 enthusiasm to learn. Alright, once 1:30:03 again, I'm Karolin, accompanied also by 1:30:05 Neja and Panji Ahmad. We apologize and 1:30:08 take our leave, and don't forget to 1:30:10 listen to the Rasil program after this; 1:30:12 there is Islamic Health and in the next 1:30:14 programs in the afternoon, God willing, 1:30:16 it will be useful. Subhanaka Allahumma 1:30:18 wabihamdika ashadu alla ila anta 1:30:20 astagfiruka wa atubu ilaik. Wabillahi 1:30:22 taufik walhidayah. Wasalamualaikum 1:30:25 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. The sixth 1:31:32 good deed is people who fulfill their 1:31:35 promises; the seventh is those who 1:31:37 always guard at every moment and they 1:31:46 are the people in heaven the pious 1:31:57 returned They are those outside of 1:32:18 heaven. Humans who are loved by Allah. 1:32:23 I love
