0:29 Hey. In the name of Allah, the Most 1:12 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be 1:14 upon you, and Allah's mercy and 1:15 blessings. Brothers and sisters, may 1:17 Allah have mercy on you. It is a 1:19 pleasure, Alhamdulillah, that we are 1:21 brought together in this morning 1:23 lecture on this blessed Wednesday. How 1:26 are you? Is everyone healthy? 1:27 Alhamdulillah. Today, before we began, 1:32 the Ustaz who will be present, as usual 1:36 , Ustaz Abul Hidayah Sairoj, talked 1:39 about laziness. Laziness in what? Oh, 1:43 it turns out the most important thing 1:46 is not to be lazy in dhikr and also 1:48 praying. Well, that will be our topic 1:50 today. Let us not forget to send 1:51 prayers and peace upon the leader of 1:53 the people, our beloved, Muhammad the 1:54 Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 1:57 May we receive his intercession later 2:00 and, God willing, be reunited with him 2:02 at the moment we long for in the 2:04 hereafter. So, brothers and sisters of 2:10 Radio Silaturahim, which is also 2:12 broadcast by local radio stations, we 2:15 will begin this morning's lecture. 2:20 First, let us greet the speaker. Peace 2:22 be upon you, and Allah's mercy and 2:23 blessings, Ustaz. And peace be upon you 2:26 , and Allah's mercy and blessings. 2:27 >> Healthy, fit, safe, and under control, 2:29 yes? Alhamdulillah. So, regarding that 2:31 laziness earlier, 2:32 >> what should we not be lazy about? 2:34 >> Do not be lazy in praying and dhikr. 2:37 Dhikr and prayer. Aha. So, for example, 2:41 being lazy to wake up is fine, but do 2:43 not be lazy in doing dhikr and praying, 2:46 like that. Alright. Let us listen 2:48 closely. Please, Ustaz. 2:51 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 2:52 , the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, 2:55 and Allah's mercy and blessings. 2:57 >> And peace be upon you. 2:58 >> Alhamdulillah. Praise be to Allah who 3:03 created death and life to test which of 3:06 you is best in deed. I bear witness 3:10 that there is no god but Allah, alone 3:12 without partner, and I bear witness 3:14 that Muhammad is His servant and 3:16 messenger, there is no prophet after 3:18 him. O Allah, send prayers and peace 3:21 upon our prophet and our beloved, our 3:23 master Muhammad, and upon his family, 3:25 his companions, and those who follow 3:28 them in goodness until the Day of 3:30 Judgment. Whatever Allah wills happens, 3:33 and what He does not will does not 3:35 happen, there is no power or strength 3:37 except by Allah, and now to our topic. 3:41 O brothers, may Allah have mercy on you 3:43 . My brothers and sisters, listeners 3:46 and viewers. Rasil TV and Radio. May 3:55 Allah bless us all. 3:57 >> Amin. 3:59 >> And we are grateful to Allah on this 4:02 morning, this afternoon, this day, that 4:06 Allah still gives us the opportunity to 4:09 improve our shortcomings, our mistakes, 4:12 and to increase our faith and deeds. 4:18 May today be a day that brings 4:20 blessings for us all. Amin. Allahumma 4:23 amin. 4:25 >> O Muslims, my brothers and sisters in 4:28 the Muslim community. Alhamdulillah, we 4:34 are aging, and the opportunities Allah 4:38 gives us are increasing. Like a person 4:41 walking, the journey grows longer. Many 4:45 things are seen, diverse and various, 4:50 but what is clear is that the world 4:51 continues to be in turmoil. The turmoil 4:56 of the world is a reflection of human 4:59 desires. Because those who create the 5:04 problems, who become the subjects of 5:06 the goodness and badness of this world, 5:08 turn out to be humans. In fact, not 5:11 only that, badness, destruction, and 5:16 war are actually carried out by humans. 5:23 Thus, the signal of the Qur'an says in 5:26 Surah Ar-Rum, I seek refuge in Allah 5:28 from the accursed Satan. Corruption has 5:31 appeared on land and sea because of 5:33 what the hands of people have earned. 5:37 >> The sign of Allah. It means corruption 5:43 has appeared on land and in the sea 5:47 caused by human behavior, by human 5:51 hands. Humans are small compared to the 5:56 universe, compared to the world, but it 5:59 is actually humans who often cause 6:02 trouble. And humans have actually been 6:06 entrusted by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 6:09 as khalifatullah (stewards) on earth 6:13 trusted by Allah to maintain the 6:17 world's well-being, to create a life 6:22 that is prosperous, peaceful, 6:26 harmonious, and so on. natural 6:31 resources. The potential of those 6:35 natural resources is handed to us to be 6:38 managed for shared prosperity in life. 6:45 Thus the world's state of darkness or 6:50 light, its turmoil or its peace, 6:53 depends on 6:56 >> the attitudes and behavior of humans. 7:01 Therefore, the prophets especially our 7:05 Prophet Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu 7:08 alaihi wasallam who carried a prophetic 7:11 mission with a heavy and great task. 7:15 wama arsalnaka rahmatan lil alamin (and 7:17 We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], 7:18 except as a mercy to the worlds). So we 7:22 see building civilization, a prosperous 7:29 life, and harmony can only be created 7:32 if the humans are good. So what is 7:38 being worked on—in quotes, worked on 7:40 —the object of the Prophet's da'wah, 7:43 as well as the previous prophets, is 7:45 the human being. So it is not building 7:50 the economy first, not building 7:52 agriculture, not building buildings, or 7:54 building all sorts of things, but 7:56 civilization is built starting from the 7:58 actors of that civilization themselves, 8:00 namely humans. it becomes important to 8:07 build humans and what is to be built in 8:13 humans? Is it their physique 8:16 >> to be strong? Is it their food or 8:20 source of nutrition so that humans 8:23 become super-humans and so on? What is 8:26 built in humans, the source of their 8:28 goodness and badness, depends on their 8:30 heart. Therefore, the target, the 8:34 object of Islamic da'wah, is the human 8:37 heart. That is what is popular in a 8:41 hadith that is already familiar to us. 8:44 Ala inna fil jasadi mudghoh. Shohat 8:48 shuhal jasaduh. Waidza fasadal fasadat 8:53 fasadal jasad. Inside you there is a 9:00 lump of flesh. If it is good, then 9:03 everything is good. If it is bad, then 9:05 everything is bad. Ala. Know it is the 9:11 qalb (heart). That is qolbu, not kalbu. 9:16 Kalbu in Arabic means dog. Qolbu is 9:21 what is made the target. If the heart 9:24 is good, it will manifest in their 9:26 worldview becoming good. It appears in 9:30 good thoughts. Their mindset will 9:33 become good if their heart is good. And 9:37 then from good thoughts, good views, it 9:39 gives birth to good behavior. 9:43 Conversely, if the heart is bad, their 9:47 views are bad, their mindset is bad. If 9:52 their worldview and mindset are bad, 9:53 then their behavior and attitude are 9:55 bad. Now, this is what has become the 9:57 world's problem today. That is why the 10:02 world's turmoil has not ceased to this 10:04 day. I often say that here and there, 10:09 there is still much injustice, tyranny, 10:15 exploiting others, not upholding 10:20 justice or togetherness, not spreading 10:22 love, unity, and harmony. But what 10:26 exists is struggle and competition. The 10:29 most severe thing is the emergence of 10:30 ego, worldly desires. Togetherness is 10:36 getting thinner. Even in human life, it 10:39 becomes a mound of selfish individuals. 10:49 So it looks like a mound, like a sand 10:51 dune, but it is actually fragments of 10:53 individuals who each only think of "me, 10:55 " Ananiah (selfishness). The important 11:01 thing is me, I am the most great. I am 11:03 the one who must get the most. I am the 11:06 one in power. Me. Me. Me. Even other 11:13 people, we don't need them except as 11:15 tools for me, for my greatness, for my 11:17 wealth. If possible, I want to control 11:25 everything under my authority, under my 11:28 command, and so on. This is what 11:31 happens. So, the dynamics of life 11:35 created by humans with various theories 11:38 outside of divine concepts are actually 11:41 motivated by desires and lust. Wanting 11:46 to dominate. Having people to control. 11:51 War occurs, bloodshed. Negative 11:57 competition happens. I often mention, 12:01 it's not about what to eat tomorrow, 12:04 but who to eat tomorrow? Preying on 12:06 each other in life. The law of the 12:08 jungle is practiced. The big dog wins 12:11 the fight. The most powerful one wins 12:14 because of their size. "Asu gede" means 12:17 the big dog is the one that wins if it 12:20 fights its own kind. So those who have 12:25 power, authority, and capital are the 12:27 ones who dominate humans. So humans are 12:33 dominated by their fellow humans. I 12:39 often satirize, or rather, it's a 12:41 reality that there are still people 12:43 singing atop the suffering of others. 12:46 Is there? Yes. There are people who can 12:50 dance. over the corpses of their 12:54 brethren. Is this the human considered 13:00 a civilized creature? In practice, 13:06 goodness me, there is no difference 13:09 from other four-legged creatures that 13:13 have fangs. Therefore, in a life like 13:23 this, with turmoil, competition, and 13:26 injustice, the cries of those who 13:31 suffer from oppression, while the 13:33 laughter of those who are happy because 13:36 they feel they have won, feel they can 13:38 dominate, and so on. In a situation 13:44 like this, then relying solely on 13:50 reason and logic in this life, we will 13:54 be crushed by circumstances. Huh. 14:01 >> If everyone thinks according to their 14:04 own minds based on their own ideologies 14:06 , their own thoughts, or rely rely on 14:12 thoughts created by humans, it brings 14:15 forth problems. The theory of 14:20 materialism, where the material world 14:22 is everything, actually creates 14:24 problems. So God, specifically, because 14:31 God truly knows the other sides of 14:34 human strengths and weaknesses. God 14:39 knows. Indeed. Therefore, for a truth 14:44 as a way of life, as a guide in life, 14:48 God does not entrust it solely to logic 14:52 . Even though humans have been given 14:56 the most prime intelligence, 15:02 >> God gives specifically as a 15:04 manifestation of His grace and mercy, 15:06 God's love—what is the Indonesian 15:09 term for that? It is because God wants 15:13 humans to be able to carry out the 15:20 mandate of making the world a better 15:24 place, creating a polite civilization, 15:27 making this earth a prosperous, 15:30 peaceful place, and creating a 15:33 harmonious life. Specifically, God 15:41 provides the concept, sends down His 15:43 revelation. Heh. 15:50 >> Even though once the truth is revealed, 15:54 it is ultimately up to you. Because 16:00 everyone has been given the right to 16:03 choose. People are right that life is a 16:07 choice, but the problem is choosing 16:09 wrongly. Why choose wrongly? Wrong 16:13 perspective. A wrong perspective leads 16:15 to wrong choices. If you choose wrong, 16:17 you take the wrong step. If everyone 16:20 takes their own wrong steps. It is not 16:26 not well-organized, not 16:28 well-coordinated, not following the 16:31 right path according to divine guidance 16:33 . Now, this is often the problem. So, 16:38 specifically, Allah says, "Wa lil-haqqu 16:41 mir-rabbikum, faman sya'a falyu'min, wa 16:44 man sya'a falyakfur." Say that the 16:51 truth is what has been sent down by 16:53 Allah, the Creator, Educator, and 16:55 Controller of the world. Meaning Allah 17:01 knows, because He is the Creator, the 17:03 ins and outs of human strengths and 17:04 weaknesses. Yes. 17:09 >> Allah provided the Sharia, a way of 17:11 life, so that our steps and journey in 17:18 this world are safe and prosperous. 17:22 Like a ship sailing to the shore of 17:24 happiness. The shore where we find 17:28 refuge, the shore of happiness. Allah 17:32 sent that down specifically. A map of 17:35 life is laid out: the path of truth, 17:37 the path of nobility, the path of 17:40 kindness, justice, and so on. If that 17:44 path is taken, God willing, life 17:46 becomes a blessing, a life of 17:51 cooperation, harmony, unity, security, 17:54 and peace, and so on. Even though, on 17:58 the other hand, other paths are indeed 18:00 laid out. 18:02 >> Dead ends, paths that lead to disaster, 18:05 and so on. Even though each has already 18:09 been given a "do not enter" sign. The 18:12 path to paradise is given guidance. 18:14 This is the path to paradise. Hadza 18:16 sirat mustaqim. This is the straight 18:19 path. This is the path of nobility. The 18:21 path of justice. There are signs for it 18:24 . At any moment, it can be seen, read, 18:27 and felt. And on the other hand, a "do 18:32 not enter" sign, a prohibition on a 18:34 path to be taken; don't take it, don't 18:36 pass this way, it's dangerous, and so 18:39 on. But just because freedom of choice 18:43 has been given, they choose what aligns 18:46 with their desires and lusts. Hujibatil 18:51 jannah bil makari, wa hujibatin-nar 18:54 bisy-syahwat. The path to paradise is 18:58 overshadowed by hardships. So it is not 19:02 easy; only those who truly want to 19:03 struggle will succeed. It is not enough 19:06 to just see with your physical eyes; 19:07 you must see with your heart's eyes. 19:09 Conscience must be used, reason must be 19:12 employed. Listen to your conscience, 19:19 see clearly the guidance provided by 19:22 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Check the 19:25 Sharia—is this right or wrong, and so 19:27 on—it's not easy. Only those who are 19:32 discerning and use their conscience. A 19:36 conscience that has also been given 19:38 light from the truth of the Al-Qur'an. 19:42 Looking at the example and character of 19:44 the Prophet is what will allow one to 19:46 see the path to paradise. Even if it's 19:48 difficult, maybe the path is steep, 19:50 they will take it, with full conviction 19:55 , then they will be safe. Now, 19:59 meanwhile, "hujibatin-nar bisy-syahwat, 20:01 " the path to hell, even though it has 20:02 been marked "do not enter," is still 20:04 violated. Embankments are breached, and 20:09 barriers are all swept away. Hence, the 20:15 Javanese say, "dipalangono mlumpat, 20:18 didadungo merot." Many don't understand 20:24 this. Even though Javanese people now, 20:26 if barred, they jump over it. They are 20:31 tied up. If tied with a rope, they 20:34 rebel. Walls are broken down. Let alone 20:39 a brick wall, just plain bricks. Even 20:42 steel fortresses are breached. If you 20:47 can't do it with tools, there are 20:49 clever ways to break through walls, 20:51 break through steel fortresses, and so 20:53 on—with what? With golden bullets. 20:58 Meaning with bribes. That is not easy. 21:02 Morals break down too once money is 21:04 involved. It's forbidden, it's 21:06 forbidden, but there's money. Yes, that 21:09 is called a bribe, which becomes a 21:11 curse for the one who gives or the one 21:14 who receives because it violates legal 21:17 boundaries. So the current term is 21:22 marching fearlessly to defend whoever 21:24 >> pays. 21:25 >> Pays. 21:26 >> No matter how strong the fence or wall 21:28 is, it will be breached. Rules are 21:33 broken, ethics are ignored. What 21:37 matters is money, money, full stomachs, 21:43 happy minds, money, money, money. In 21:52 Indonesia, thank God, every August we 21:55 commemorate the proclamation of 21:57 independence. It shouldn't just be 22:01 euphoria and mindless partying. 22:03 Remember the nation's history. Remember 22:07 that independence is a gift from God. 22:10 Just sharpened bamboo against cannons. 22:13 But God willed it. What did God will to 22:15 be independent? Yes, independence. That 22:18 is why it is called a grace by the 22:20 mercy of God Almighty. Thus we arrived 22:25 at the gateway of independence. That is 22:29 because of God's mercy. Logically, it 22:31 would have been impossible for us to be 22:33 independent. A country this vast, 22:36 limited communication, and limited 22:38 human resources too. So at the 22:41 proclamation, we remember this is God's 22:43 gift. Then what we must be grateful for 22:49 are our elders, the founders of this 22:52 Republic of Indonesia. They established 22:55 the foundation of the state as a nation 22:58 that believes in God. This is it, 23:01 sometimes many people don't get it. 23:03 Many people only see it superficially. 23:10 It is not a religious state, although 23:14 some seem to push the spirit that it 23:17 must be. Well, a religious state 23:20 governed without true religion is not 23:23 right either. When it comes to politics 23:25 , you know 2 + 2 = seven. Don't ask 23:32 where the three went. 23:34 >> Yes. 23:34 >> Collusion is necessary. Generally shown 23:42 on the surface, but the purpose is 23:45 hidden. So there is the term that there 23:49 are no eternal friends or enemies. What 23:53 exists are interests and self-interests 23:55 . Not just interests. So it is 23:59 difficult with this model to establish 24:01 peace or blessings, no matter what. 24:05 That is why the founders of this 24:07 country said this is a nation that 24:08 believes in God. Meaning not an atheist 24:12 communist country, not a secular 24:14 country where anything goes, anything 24:16 is allowed, halal or haram. A nation 24:22 that believes in God. This is what we 24:25 rarely realize. Ideally whatever we do 24:32 in this nation, officials or citizens, 24:36 the rich or the poor, all actions 24:40 should express the spirit of divine 24:44 values. This is rarely discussed like 24:48 this. Therefore, in building Indonesia, 24:52 especially the so-called Golden 24:54 Indonesia in what year? People must be 24:58 prepared first. The people themselves. 25:04 Fix their minds first, fix their 25:06 mindset as beings of a nation that 25:09 believes in God. If that is not built, 25:14 then it will just be the same. What 25:19 remains is the drive of greed and 25:21 bottomless gluttony. So back to 25:32 civilization built by humans based on 25:34 religion. In a turbulent situation, 25:38 various things, every day we are 25:40 presented with things that seem 25:42 unsettling. Truly this nation. Not just 25:46 Indonesia, humans in this world are 25:48 facing this and that. Wow, my goodness, 25:51 it’s dizzying to follow the news. 25:53 Dizzying. Specifically the Indonesian 26:00 nation. Then when will we build this 26:03 country correctly? The age of this 26:06 country is already 81 years. We are 26:08 already grandfathers and grandmothers. 26:11 Sometimes, good heavens, we worry about 26:14 diplomas, about this and that, elbowing 26:17 each other, fighting over scraps, and 26:19 nonsense, 26:23 >> fighting over empty promises. So when 26:27 will we build, when will we become a 26:29 golden Indonesia? When? If we don't 26:33 return to the principles of developing 26:36 the community and civilization, 26:39 starting from developing the human 26:42 being. And if it's the human being, it 26:45 means their heart. The heart that can 26:48 manage and control desires when 26:51 illuminated by Divine light, by the 26:53 truth of the Quran, the truth revealed 26:56 specifically, so that we are able to 27:00 control our desires. If not, then we 27:03 will just be in turmoil every day. If 27:07 it is only logic and intellect, just 27:09 look at those arguing; they are 27:11 intelligent people capable of debating. 27:16 They justify the unjust and claim they 27:18 are the most righteous while others are 27:21 wrong. That, of course, creates 27:23 problems. Therefore, in such a 27:27 situation, let us return to the basic 27:31 human nature. So, do not be lazy in 27:39 remembrance and prayer, being mindful 27:41 of Allah Subhanahu wa taala. Remember 27:46 that Allah created humans as creatures 27:49 that are noble, creatures who have 27:56 responsibilities on this earth. 28:00 Creatures given extraordinary 28:02 intelligence and also the mandate to 28:05 foster a nuance of a refined 28:08 civilization. Therefore, human values 28:14 and divine values must live within our 28:16 souls. Because desires cannot be 28:22 controlled by intelligence alone. 28:26 Intellectual intelligence will not be 28:27 able to overcome the surging of desires 28:29 . The proof is that many smart people 28:33 commit crimes. There is the term " 28:36 white-collar crime," committed by smart 28:39 people, the intellectuals. 28:40 >> My goodness. 28:41 >> This is far more dangerous than an 28:43 ignorant person who is evil. So, the 28:47 heart must be filled with virtues. For 28:50 Muslims, that is through the Quran. For 28:53 Muslims, there is an example. The 28:55 Prophet was sent; the Prophet was a 28:58 chosen human. Created as an 28:59 extraordinary human being. His 29:02 intelligence, his nobility, his 29:04 character. For 23 years, his whole life 29:08 was dedicated to providing guidance to 29:10 humanity. From matters of unity and 29:16 building civilization to personal, 29:19 individual issues, he provided guidance 29:22 on how to live properly. Yes, if we 29:28 want to be humans who can build a noble 29:32 civilization, then do it often. Do not 29:37 be lazy in remembrance and prayer. 29:41 Alhamdulillah, if we follow the 29:43 Prophet's guidance, we will always be 29:47 connected to Allah Subhanahu wa taala. 29:53 And human souls that are always 29:55 connected to Allah are the ones, God 29:57 willing, that are free from the 29:58 collapse of human values. "duribat 30:05 alaihimudzillatu ainama sukifu illa 30:08 bihabl minallah wa habl minanas" 30:13 humiliation or what will befall humans, 30:22 losing dignity, losing human values, 30:28 >> huh, 30:28 >> the closing of the conscience for 30:31 anyone, at any time, anywhere, "illa 30:36 bihabli minallah wa habli minannas." 30:39 Except for those who hold fast to the 30:42 rope of Allah and the rope of 30:44 relationship with fellow humans in 30:46 interacting. This means humans whose 30:52 souls are always connected, their 30:54 hearts illuminated by the divine light, 30:57 the Divine truth. So that they know 31:02 themselves, "Oh, I am human. I am a 31:04 servant of Allah." I have a duty as a 31:08 human to bring peace and prosperity to 31:10 the world and the nation. How to build 31:15 a life that is prosperous, affluent, 31:18 but also peaceful, and polite. That is 31:24 what is taught by Islam. Therefore, in 31:30 this regard, we should engage in much 31:32 dhikr, remembering Allah. And indeed, 31:37 the Quran also says not to let us 31:40 forget Allah. If you forget Allah, then 31:45 Allah will cause you to be among those 31:47 who forget. You who forget Allah 31:51 >> will forget yourself. Now, this is the 31:54 most dangerous part. The root of evil, 31:56 the source of human wickedness, begins 31:59 when a person has forgotten Allah. 32:02 Eventually, they forget that they are 32:04 human. Then their behavior no longer 32:08 reflects a noble human being. That is 32:15 why the Quran hints that a human can 32:18 lose their dignity and their humanity. 32:23 Balhum adol kal an'am balhum adol. Like 32:28 livestock, and even more misguided. 32:34 That is the parable. So if a human is 32:37 only human in appearance, but their 32:40 mindset and heart are governed by 32:43 animalistic desires. Because their 32:45 humanity has vanished, they have 32:47 forgotten Allah. What remains and 32:50 thrives is their animalistic lust. 32:57 Their greed, their bestial desires. Wow 33:00 , this is dangerous. They can be more 33:03 savage than wild beasts. Many people 33:07 now kill others by dismembering them. 33:11 Heads are separated, limbs are 33:13 scattered, stomachs are ripped open, 33:15 and so on. What kind of behavior is 33:17 that? If it is not worse than an animal 33:19 . If an animal does something, its 33:24 drive is only due to instinct—hunger, 33:26 sexual urge, and so on—it is natural 33:28 because they are not given intellect. 33:35 What exists by instinct is called an 33:37 animal. Thus, their status as creatures 33:41 is low, which we may use with Allah's 33:44 permission. But humans have intellect 33:49 and also desires. If humans forget 33:53 Allah, eventually what becomes dominant 33:55 within them is desire. Their intellect 33:59 dies, their conscience is lost; they 34:00 have a heart but lack a conscience. So 34:04 their life drive is solely the drive of 34:07 desire. Exactly 34:08 >> like those with four legs. Even more 34:11 dangerous because they have a brain, 34:12 they have intelligence. If a monkey 34:17 steals a farmer's crop, it's only as 34:19 much as it can eat. Once full, it goes 34:22 home. But if a person, especially a 34:25 smart but evil person, loses their 34:27 conscience, this is what creates 34:28 destruction on this earth. If they can, 34:31 they want to live alone. If they are in 34:34 a group, their group must be the best, 34:36 the winning, and the greatest. They 34:38 must be able to control everything. If 34:40 they represent a nation, they want to 34:42 be the greatest nation controlling 34:43 others; if possible, the whole world's 34:46 assets and wealth should be managed and 34:48 controlled by them. See, that’s not 34:50 just nonsense. That is reality. This is 34:53 the dangerous behavior of humans who 34:55 have forgotten their Creator, Allah. 34:59 Secondly, do not be lazy in praying to 35:02 overcome various problems like this. Do 35:06 not depend on other creatures. Do not 35:10 worship your own brain. As if your 35:13 brain is capable of solving every 35:15 problem in life. Depending on material 35:19 things as small gods. Because that is 35:22 where they think happiness and misery 35:23 lie. God is missing. Not relying on God 35:28 . That is the character of people who 35:32 forget and refuse to pray to God. 35:34 Essentially, it is because they 35:35 consider themselves great, intelligent, 35:37 and capable of overcoming problems. I 35:43 was once spoken to by a doctor. 35:47 Coincidentally, I was having a health 35:51 check-up at the hospital, and the 35:54 doctor was being nosy. 35:57 >> The examination was over, and then he 35:59 asked, "Sir, how old are your children? 36:01 How many children do you have? Huh. 36:04 >> I happen to have many children, so I 36:06 was a bit shy to answer. It's not the 36:08 trend these days to have many children. 36:11 >> He kept insisting. How many, sir? How 36:13 many? Finally, I mentioned the number. 36:17 He was stunned. 36:19 >> Yeah. 36:20 >> Surprised, how could I have that many 36:25 children? Why, what's wrong? I have a 36:29 headache having three kids, a total 36:31 headache, and he's a senior doctor. In 36:34 terms of material, it's more than 36:35 enough, but I have a total headache 36:37 dealing with the children. So I said 36:41 this, Doctor. That is why the great 36:45 mistake of humans is measuring their 36:49 life's fate solely by their ratio and 36:53 logic. Heh. 36:56 >> Well. Then what? People calculate," I 36:59 have three kids, it'll be like this, in 37:02 terms of finance it'll be like this, " 37:04 that's just logic. Life is mysterious; 37:08 there are things beyond our logic, 37:10 beyond our capabilities, which I call 37:13 the X factor. What is that X factor? 37:16 God. I said," If humans already think 37:20 their ratio and logic are great, 37:22 capable of overcoming various problems, 37:25 it turns out the material they are so 37:28 proud of cannot deal with children. " 37:32 Bricks can be arranged, stacked like 37:35 this. Humans have lives, desires, and 37:37 so on. Material cannot do that. And 37:40 material is such that the more you have 37:42 , the thirstier you become, the more 37:44 lack you feel, the more you have, the 37:47 more needs you get, and so on. So the X 37:51 factor is God. That is why believers 37:55 always perform dhikr and pray. 37:59 >> They don't boast about their abilities 38:01 even though they are smart; there are 38:03 other factors beyond our reach as 38:05 humans. Therefore, let us all be 38:09 reminded. Alhamdulillah, the Prophet 38:13 provided guidance to remember God when 38:15 waking up. Not remembering money, not 38:19 remembering your crush, not remembering 38:22 anyone else, remember God. 38:24 Alhamdulillahilladzi ahyana ba'dama 38:27 amatana wa ilaihin nusur. Just by 38:31 waking up, our life is new. We are 38:34 reminded that God is the one who gives 38:35 you life. If God didn't wake you up, 38:39 you wouldn't wake up; you'd be ready to 38:41 be mourned, just eyes closed and unable 38:43 to move. What do you want? Even if you 38:46 have a position or rank, you'd just be 38:49 dead. 38:50 >> God is the one who gives you life every 38:52 morning. Even though a sleeping person 38:55 has their soul held by God. You're 38:57 already half-dead, so even if given 38:59 anything, a sleeping person wouldn't 39:01 want it. So when waking up in the 39:05 morning, the Prophet or Islam teaches 39:08 us to remember God, mention praises to 39:13 God. Alhamdulillahilladzi ahyana 39:17 ba'dama amatana waai. One, we are 39:21 reminded and realize that the one who 39:24 gives life is God. If God did not give 39:27 life, we would be dead; we wouldn't 39:28 even be able to breathe, and we would 39:30 be dead. That is why the Messenger 39:34 taught us that going to sleep is not 39:36 just about sleeping; it is a 39:38 preparation, in case God calls us at 39:40 any time, we are ready. How is that 39:43 done? So when you want to sleep, it is 39:46 sunnah to perform wudu like the wudu 39:48 for prayer, so what happens? You are 39:52 pure in body and soul. Purify first. 39:56 Then recite bismillah, bismillah, 39:59 whatever the sleep prayer is. Allahumma 40:02 ahya. Allahumma bika ahya wabika amut. 40:07 With Your name, O Allah, I live, and 40:08 with Your name, I die. This means that 40:11 even if we die, we have already 40:12 mentioned the name of Allah. 40:14 >> You are told to read this, say prayers, 40:16 do a lot of istighfar, and so on. Ready 40:19 . It means when we lie down, in our 40:22 resting place, we are ready to be 40:24 called by Allah at any time of the 40:26 night. Secondly, in that prayer, we are 40:30 reminded. Just as we wake up, just as 40:33 we can live, we are already reminded. 40:36 Wa ilaihin nusur. To Him we will return 40:39 and be gathered, be assembled. So the 40:42 motivation and orientation have already 40:44 been taught. Remember, remember Allah. 40:46 No matter how great you are, you will 40:48 eventually return and be gathered 40:49 before Allah. Being gathered before 40:52 Allah is not without purpose. There is 40:54 responsibility. You will be asked 40:56 various things about your life's 40:57 responsibilities. What did you do? 41:01 Where did you spend your life? Where 41:04 did you get your wealth? Where did you 41:07 use that wealth? What was the impact of 41:09 you having wealth? Did you become more 41:11 arrogant? More wasteful, accumulating 41:13 more sins, more stingy, and all sorts 41:15 of things. Asked. What have you done? 41:21 How far has your gratitude gone? To 41:24 what extent have you been useful in 41:26 social interactions with others, what 41:29 are your good deeds, that will be asked 41:31 . That is just waking up, you are 41:34 already reminded of that. So actually, 41:36 the Messenger has provided 41:38 extraordinary guidance in religion. 41:42 When we want to bathe, we say a prayer. 41:44 Leaving the bathroom, we say a prayer. 41:46 Looking in the mirror, we say a prayer. 41:49 Worship is prioritized before other 41:51 activities. At mealtimes, we pray. 41:53 After eating, we pray. Leaving the 41:56 house, we pray. While driving, we pray, 41:59 and so on. Almost every moment we are 42:02 given the opportunity to pray. This 42:05 means that our souls are always 42:06 connected to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 42:09 So do not be lazy. To always do dhikr 42:13 and pray in our vehicles. Dhikr, lots 42:17 of istighfar, lots of tasbih. When we 42:20 work, start with bismillah, hoping to 42:23 be given ease, smoothness, and so on. 42:26 Facing problems, we pray to Allah for 42:29 guidance, direction, protection, and 42:32 His help. That is how believers are. 42:35 That is why do not be lazy in doing 42:38 dhikr and prayer. Wallahu a'lam 42:41 bishawab. 42:43 >> Masha Allah. Alhamdulillah. So the time 42:48 we spent together listening to what 42:51 Ustaz Abul conveyed has also raised 42:54 some questions? Yes, there are a few, 42:59 and we can go straight to the questions 43:01 , Ustaz? 43:02 >> Yes, please. This is from 0811- 43:05 something, Ustaz, if for example we do 43:08 dhikr not when we are in front of the 43:11 prayer mat, not when we are at home, 43:14 but while traveling, if I may ask, what 43:17 kind of dhikr is best? Thank you, 43:21 assalamualaikum. 43:23 >> Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 43:24 wabarakatuh. 43:26 >> Guidance in religion. 43:28 >> Yes. 43:30 >> When we leave the house, there is 43:32 already guidance for dhikr. In the name 43:35 of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, 43:38 there is no power nor strength except 43:40 by Allah. Strengthen your heart and 43:42 intention for worship. Then, when we 43:46 are in a vehicle, sitting in the 43:49 vehicle, recite the takbir: Allahu 43:51 Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, 43:54 Subhanalladzi sakhar lana, and so on. 43:57 There is a prayer for when we are in a 43:59 vehicle. When moving, when the vehicle 44:02 is moving or climbing, recite the 44:04 takbir: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. 44:07 When descending, we recite the tasbih. 44:09 Subhanallah, Subhanallah, Subhanallah. 44:12 Now, what if we are on the road? Yes, 44:15 on the road, whether sitting or not, at 44:17 home, or anywhere, we are commanded to 44:19 do much dhikr; it is broad. You can do 44:21 tasbih. Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, 44:25 Walailahaillallah, Wallahu Akbar. 44:29 >> These are light words, but they will be 44:30 heavy in the scales in the hereafter, 44:32 on the mizan. Subhanallah, 44:35 Walhamdulillah, Walailahaillallah, 44:37 Wallahu Akbar. Or strengthen our 44:41 tawheed with Lailahaillallah, 44:44 Lailahaillallah, Lailahaillallah, or 44:47 the longer version: Lailahaillallah 44:49 wahdahu la syarikalah lahul mulku 44:52 walahul hamdu. 44:55 >> He gives life. 44:56 >> He gives life and causes death, and He 44:58 is over all things capable. Subhanallah 45:00 , especially if we contemplate the 45:02 meaning. 45:04 >> Yes, then there is tahmid, there is 45:07 taqdis, and so on. But that alone is, 45:10 God willing, enough, or recite salawat. 45:12 Allahumma sholli ala Muhammad wa ala 45:14 ali Muhammad. Allahumma sholli ala 45:16 sayyidina Muhammad wa ala ali sayyidina 45:18 Muhammad. Recite salawat. What is not 45:21 allowed is when we are in the restroom. 45:24 Do not recite the Quran, do not mention 45:26 the name of Allah, and do not perform 45:28 dhikr while in the restroom. But apart 45:32 from that, while walking, sitting, or 45:34 lying down. Yes, it is mentioned in 45:36 Surah Ali Imran, in the final verses. 45:40 Those who always remember Allah, 45:42 perform dhikr of Allah, whether walking 45:44 , standing, sitting, lying down, while 45:47 traveling, and so on, except in places 45:49 where mentioning Allah's name is 45:51 forbidden. And Allah knows best. 45:55 >> Alright. Um, the following question is 45:58 something we should all hear the 46:01 explanation for, from Mbak Ida. Ustaz, 46:05 I feel that when I pray, it feels like 46:08 I am demanding things from Allah. 46:11 Prayer phrases are about asking, asking 46:13 , asking, and asking. Yet this is 46:16 worship, so why am I demanding and 46:20 asking? How do I manage such confused 46:24 feelings, Ustaz? Thank you. In prayer. 46:31 When we pray, one. 46:34 >> Hey. 46:35 >> Directly or indirectly, we acknowledge 46:38 our weakness. Our needs, and we offer 46:44 them to Allah, indirectly also 46:47 acknowledging His greatness and majesty 46:50 . To Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. And 46:56 when we pray, Allah indeed asks us to 46:59 pray. Allah loves it most when His 47:02 servants always pray. To the point that 47:06 Allah says," I am shy toward My servant 47:08 who raises his hands to pray if I do 47:10 not grant it. "Just look. Allah will 47:14 not. Whatever you call it, get bored or 47:18 anything, no matter how many people 47:21 pray to Him. So, praying is indeed an 47:25 act of worship, the intention is 47:26 worship, of course with good words. The 47:30 best prayer phrases are the 'maksurat' 47:32 prayers taken from the Quran. For 47:35 example, when repenting, we ask for 47:37 forgiveness using the prayer of Prophet 47:39 Adam. Rabbana zhalamna anfusana 47:43 wa-illam taghfir lana wa-tarhamna 47:45 lanakunanna minal khasirin. Now, that 47:48 is a truly wonderful prayer. It is not 47:50 about commanding, but Allah indeed 47:51 loves it. He loves servants who always 47:54 pray, and conversely, Allah does not 47:56 like, or even hates, those who never 47:58 pray because it shows arrogance, 48:00 feeling they can be self-sufficient 48:02 without God. So, by praying, God 48:07 willing, we show our humility and 48:09 modesty, acknowledging the greatness, 48:13 glory, and omnipotence of Allah. While 48:17 we confess in His presence. Our 48:22 weakness and lowliness before the 48:25 Creator. Allah truly loves those who do 48:28 so. Only Allah knows best. So, asking 48:31 is indeed a part of prayer. All prayers 48:34 are essentially petitions to Allah, 48:36 right, Ustadz? 48:37 >> Yes, God willing. Um, thank you so much 48:40 to those who have expressed their 48:43 appreciation for this program. Mr. 48:46 Sakirin, thank God, is able to listen 48:49 to the lecture live. Thank you for the 48:53 enlightenment, Ustadz. Many thanks to 48:56 Radio Silaturahim. Also from Mr. Arwin 49:01 and Eyang Sri, who all feel helped by 49:05 listening to our program and discussion 49:08 this morning. And also to Mbak Anggit 49:13 who submitted a question. Ready to 49:17 continue listening, Ustadz. So, 49:19 arrogance is not allowed, right, Ustadz 49:20 ? Is it only meant for Allah? 49:23 >> That is correct. People who do not like 49:27 to pray indirectly show their arrogance 49:31 ." I am capable, I can handle problems 49:34 without needing God. "Well, that is 49:36 perhaps one of the things that makes 49:38 Allah dislike His servant. Allah loves 49:41 the servant who is humble and draws 49:43 near to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Yes, 49:46 God willing. 49:48 >> Alright, Ustadz. This is from someone 49:52 unnamed. I am not lazy in performing 49:58 dhikr and prayer, but if I only say the 50:01 same simple things, glorifying Allah 50:05 without asking for anything 50:07 specifically, is that considered 50:10 arrogant, Ustadz? Hmm. Well, how could 50:17 you not be asking? In prayer, when we 50:21 leave the house, that is already a 50:23 request." Bismillahi tawakaltu alallah 50:25 "(In the name of Allah, I place my 50:26 trust in Allah). We are relying, 50:29 seeking refuge, and surrendering 50:31 ourselves to Allah, right? Then, on the 50:35 journey, it is the same. So, all 50:37 prayers—and even within dhikr— 50:40 contain our hopes to Allah Subhanahu wa 50:42 ta'ala. And prayers that are, God 50:46 willing, answered are those that begin 50:49 with much dhikr first. Start with dhikr 50:54 ," Bismillah, "then praise Allah, then 50:56 read blessings (salawat), and recite 50:59 much dhikr like" Subhanallah, 51:01 subhanallah, subhanallah, "and so on. 51:04 Only then do we chant our prayers. 51:07 Prayer does not have to be in Arabic. 51:09 If you don't know it, then use your own 51:11 language." O God, I ask for strength. " 51:14 " O God, I ask for protection. "" 51:17 Protect my beloved ones, my children 51:19 who are currently...and so on. "" Make 51:22 things easy. "There is so much we need 51:24 to ask from Allah in this life. Asking 51:27 for protection, for help, for ease, and 51:29 for the best solutions. Start by first 51:33 praising Allah through dhikr. So do not 51:37 be lazy in performing dhikr and then 51:39 praying. God knows best. 51:44 >> It's quite similar to what we just 51:46 discussed, Mr. Sam. Is there any dhikr 51:52 most beloved by Allah other than 51:55 Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, 51:58 lailahaillallah, wallahu akbar? Because 52:03 I really want to know, Ustaz. Thank you 52:06 . Yes. 52:07 >> Yes. Each prayer has its own virtues. 52:11 >> Its own merits. 52:12 >> For the tasbih prayer mentioned, the 52:13 complete one is Subhanallah, 52:15 walhamdulillah, walailahaillallah, 52:16 wallahu akbar. It is light to recite. 52:19 But it is weighty, meaning it is 52:21 beloved by Allah. The phrase of tawhid: 52:24 La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharikalah 52:27 lahul mulku walahul hamdu yuhyi wa 52:29 yumitu wa huwa 'ala kulli qadir. That 52:32 is also a great choice. So, I think we 52:34 shouldn't just choose one, but recite 52:37 as many as we can when time permits. La 52:40 hawla wala quwwata illa billahil' 52:43 aliyyil 'azim. That is also a beloved 52:45 prayer and the prayer of the prophets. 52:48 Okay, Ustaz. Here is a question, we 52:52 have prayed asking for ease for 52:55 ourselves. But is there a prayer, Ustaz 53:00 , to be loved by Allah? Not just loving 53:06 Allah, but being loved by Allah. What 53:08 is the prayer like? 53:09 >> Masyaallah. That is a prayer that is 53:11 always recited. Irhamna ya arhamar 53:13 rahimin. 53:15 >> Irhamna ya arhamar rahimin. Have mercy 53:18 on us, O Allah. The most Compassionate 53:20 and Merciful Lord. Show us compassion, 53:23 O Allah. Love us. It is already 53:25 contained within that. Irhamna ya 53:27 arhamar rahimin. Irhamna ya arhamar 53:30 rahimin. That is also a wonderful 53:33 prayer. There are so many prayers that 53:35 need to be— 53:36 >> Let me share a Hadith Qudsi. I will 53:41 read the translation from the book" 53:43 Walking the Path to Heaven " 53:45 >> on page 118. 53:51 >> From Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased 53:54 with him), he said that the Prophet ( 53:56 peace be upon him) said: Allah Azza wa 53:59 Jalla says," I, says Allah, 54:03 >> am always according to My servant's 54:05 opinion of Me. "See? So if we want to 54:09 pray with full conviction, but we 54:12 already think," My prayer probably 54:14 won't be answered, "well, that is our 54:16 own thought, having a bad opinion of 54:19 Allah. So it means we must always have 54:23 a good opinion of Allah Subhanahu wa 54:25 ta'ala, and I am with him when he 54:28 mentions My name. So if we mention the 54:32 name of Allah, then Allah is 54:34 >> with him. Masyaallah, extraordinary, 54:37 isn't it? Extraordinary, He is with 54:40 those who mention Him. If he mentions 54:46 My name, says Allah, in his heart, I 54:49 will mention him in My heart, says 54:52 Allah. 54:53 >> Masyaallah. 54:55 >> And if he mentions Me in a gathering, I 54:59 will mention him in a better gathering. 55:04 A servant whose name is mentioned in 55:07 the heavens before the angels 55:09 >> is because of those servants who always 55:11 perform dhikr to Allah Subhanahu wa 55:12 ta'ala. If he draws near to Me by a 55:15 span, 55:16 >> Yes. 55:17 >> then I draw near to him by a cubit. And 55:20 if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I 55:22 draw near to him by an arm's length. 55:25 >> If he comes to Me walking, I come to 55:28 him running. Of course, this is 55:31 metaphorical, figurative language. 55:33 Running, not like how we run, no. But 55:36 it means if you are near, I am even 55:38 nearer, says Allah. 55:40 >> You are far, I am far. That's what 55:43 Bimbo sang, right? 55:44 >> So it depends on us, how our hearts are 55:47 . 55:48 >> If we have a positive prejudice toward 55:50 Allah, Allah knows this servant has a 55:52 good opinion. He always believes. That 55:55 is why when praying, it must be with 55:57 full conviction. God knows best. 56:01 Alright, this is the last one from Ibu 56:05 Indah, yes. If we want to be among the 56:12 very fortunate ones who always perform 56:16 dhikr, mentioning Allah's name so we 56:19 don't go astray, seeing everything 56:22 through what the Messenger of Allah 56:26 showed us. Is there a specific prayer 56:32 to remain steadfast (istiqamah), Ustaz? 56:34 Thank you. Yes. 56:36 >> Yes. If it is about being steadfast, we 56:44 can do it, 56:46 >> he, 56:49 >> by becoming a servant who always 56:51 performs dhikr and prayer, making it 56:55 our character, our habit. Three things 57:00 are needed. Building the character of a 57:03 person who is an expert in dhikr and 57:05 always prays to Allah. Someone who is 57:06 close to Allah, 57:07 >> someone who always connects themselves 57:09 to Allah. One thing called in theory as 57:12 knowing. Knowing. He, 57:16 >> knowledge. We read the virtues of this 57:19 prayer, the prayers of the prophets, 57:21 and so on. Prayers taken from the Quran 57:23 . We obtain the knowledge, we read it. 57:26 So actually, a believer must be 57:28 diligent in learning, reading, asking, 57:31 and listening. That is the knowledge 57:34 part. So we act with knowledge even if 57:36 it is only through prayer and dhikr. 57:38 The second is acting, practicing it. 57:41 >> Hmm. 57:42 >> Increase dhikr, increase prayer, 57:44 practice it. If one is used to having 57:48 the knowledge, they know its virtues. 57:52 Then they practice it every day, 57:54 increasing it more and more. Only then 57:57 does it become a habit, which in 57:59 religious terms is called istiqamah. So 58:02 it's a habit, the principle is like the 58:05 Javanese saying," Witing tresno jalaran 58:08 sok kulino "—love grows out of habit. 58:13 There was a companion who asked," O 58:16 Messenger of Allah, "he asked," Advise 58:20 me with one sentence that is sufficient 58:22 . "" Then the Messenger of Allah said, 58:25 "Qul amantu billah tummastaqim." Say, " 58:28 I believe in Allah." Then be steadfast. 58:30 " 58:32 >> Steadfastness is like flowing water, 58:35 continuous, 58:36 >> not stopping, 58:37 >> not intermittent or inconsistent. 58:40 Whether diligent or feeling lazy, keep 58:43 doing it. So besides praying, make it a 58:47 habit to perform dhikr. Moisten your 58:50 lips with dhikr. Enliven your heart by 58:54 always remembering Allah. Connect your 58:57 soul by always praying and performing 58:59 dhikr to Allah, and so on. Yes, there 59:02 are many prayers. But there is a simple 59:04 , comprehensive prayer. Rabbana atina 59:06 fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati 59:09 hasanah wa qina adhaban-nar. That is a 59:14 simple prayer. So make it a habit to 59:16 pray often. For example, if startled, 59:19 say Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun. 59:22 Don't say" Oh it'll fall off, "it 59:24 really might fall off later. So get 59:28 used to dhikr, Alhamdulillah, 59:30 syukrulillah, Masyaallah, Astagfirullah 59:34 . Get used to that; when seeing 59:37 something beautiful, say Subhanallah, 59:39 and so on. So make it a habit so that 59:44 our entire flesh and blood, our nerves, 59:46 our heart are filled with words of 59:49 dhikr that we continuously perform, God 59:51 willing. God knows best. 59:54 >> Alright, Ustaz. A closing idea 59:57 regarding how not to be lazy in 59:59 thinking and praying. Please, Ustaz. 1:00:02 >> Yes. Praise be to God. We must practice 1:00:08 humility. To be humble means being able 1:00:12 to feel and realize that no matter how 1:00:15 great we are, we are weak. So, 1:00:20 acknowledging our own weaknesses. 1:00:23 Because when we acknowledge our 1:00:24 weaknesses, we start to lean on Him. 1:00:27 >> Yeah. 1:00:27 >> DP. DP is not, it’s not 1:00:31 >> Not a down payment, not money. No, it's 1:00:35 *andap asor*, being humble before the 1:00:38 Creator. That is, among other things, 1:00:42 its primary virtue. We feel a need for 1:00:46 Allah, starting from realizing that we 1:00:50 are frail, weak, and then we lean on 1:00:54 Allah. This behavior, character, and 1:00:58 attitude is what Allah loves." 1:01:01 >> My servants, "says Allah. They know how 1:01:04 to exalt His majesty and glory. 1:01:07 Although Allah remains majestic even if 1:01:09 not praised by humans, Allah loves 1:01:10 servants who know their place. 1:01:14 >> So we feel that we are weak, that there 1:01:17 are things beyond our capability, and 1:01:19 we acknowledge the greatness of Allah 1:01:22 SWT. Then we pray; Allah truly loves 1:01:25 servants who always ask of Him. Because 1:01:28 if we feel capable—this is the danger 1:01:32 —Allah gives us the gift of 1:01:35 intelligence, but we become arrogant, 1:01:39 prideful, dismissive of truth, and 1:01:42 belittle others. We rarely pray, or 1:01:46 perhaps never pray at all. Wow, that is 1:01:48 a disaster, no matter how high our 1:01:50 knowledge is or how great we may be. If 1:01:54 he were aware and truly humble, when he 1:01:56 succeeds, he would first name Allah," 1:01:59 Praise be to You, O Allah, all praise 1:02:02 is Yours, I was able to achieve this, I 1:02:04 was able to become a successful 1:02:07 entrepreneur, "and he would be grateful 1:02:09 , even to the point of tears. 1:02:13 >> If the heart is clear, he won't puff 1:02:16 out his chest saying," If it weren't 1:02:18 for me, this wouldn't happen "—that 1:02:21 is arrogance; we must constantly manage 1:02:23 our thoughts, manage our hearts, and 1:02:26 know ourselves correctly and precisely. 1:02:29 So in this life, as I often say, it is 1:02:31 not enough to see with our physical 1:02:34 eyes; we must see with the eyes of the 1:02:36 heart. Even further than that is the 1:02:39 eye of faith. It is through faith that 1:02:43 we weigh and view things, allowing us 1:02:45 to see the wisdom behind every event we 1:02:48 face. Because life is not always 1:02:52 pleasant. There is joy, but it quickly 1:02:57 shifts to hardship and problems, 1:02:58 because life itself is a problem. But 1:03:01 with faith, God willing, we can see 1:03:03 what is true and discern the wisdom 1:03:06 behind every event. God knows best. I 1:03:08 apologize for any shortcomings. May 1:03:10 there be guidance and success. Peace be 1:03:12 upon you, and the mercy and blessings 1:03:14 of Allah. 1:03:14 >> And peace be upon you, and the mercy 1:03:16 and blessings of Allah. Thank you, 1:03:19 Ustaz, for the enlightenment, Ustaz 1:03:22 Abul. Praise be to God, the Messenger 1:03:26 of Allah is there to guide and provide 1:03:28 an example of how our souls can connect 1:03:31 with Allah. And praise be to God if you 1:03:34 have been performing ablution before 1:03:36 sleep, as the Ustaz mentioned earlier. 1:03:39 If you haven't, let's start doing it. 1:03:41 Alright, thank you once again. May 1:03:44 there be guidance and success. Peace be 1:03:45 upon you, and the mercy and blessings 1:03:47 of Allah.
