0:10 Brazil The Most Merciful Master of the 1:25 Day of Judgment It is You we worship 1:30 and You we ask for help Guide us to the 1:35 straight path, those upon whom You have 1:45 not bestowed anger, nor are they astray 1:47 . 1:53 >> Amen. Praise be to Allah, we have 1:54 recited al-Fatihah. May Allah make it 1:56 easy for us in facing the various 1:59 problems that are present in these 2:02 current days. Okay. All right. First, 2:05 from whom is this? Greetings, Ustaz. I 2:08 am a wife who receives kind and loving 2:10 treatment. Only, some small thing that 2:13 makes him uncomfortable, even if it is 2:14 not from me. He will get angry and snap 2:17 at me like someone who is not his wife. 2:19 One to two days later, he will 2:22 apologize and say he won't do it again. 2:26 At the start of the marriage, he did it 2:28 for 6 months, up to 4 years now. He 2:30 does it almost every month. He gets so 2:33 angry that he breaks a glass. And if 2:36 asked why, he stays silent and won't 2:39 answer; will this happen often, Ustaz? 2:46 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 2:47 , the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah 2:49 , Lord of the worlds. O Allah, send 2:53 prayers, greetings, and blessings upon 2:55 Your servant and messenger, our master 2:58 and prophet Muhammad, and his family 3:01 and companions, and bestow blessings 3:03 and peace. Glory be to You, we have no 3:09 knowledge except what You have taught 3:11 us; indeed, You are the Knowing, the 3:13 Wise. O Allah, grant us mercy from You, 3:18 and bestow upon us beneficial knowledge 3:21 from You, and benefit us with what You 3:23 have taught us. Brothers and sisters 3:29 who are blessed by Allah. May the peace 3:31 , mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon 3:34 you. May the peace, mercy, and 3:36 blessings of Allah be upon you too. 3:39 >> Household life is a place where husband 3:45 and wife can feel an atmosphere of 3:49 peace (sakinah) with the love (mawadah) 3:53 and mercy (rahmah) that Allah pours 3:55 into their hearts. This is a provision 4:00 for them to navigate their household 4:03 life. To grow a sense of sakinah in our 4:10 hearts, we must truly align ourselves 4:14 with the pleasure of Allah. Because 4:18 sakinah cannot be bought in the market. 4:22 Nowhere will one find sakinah except 4:25 from Allah. Allah says, "It is He who 4:29 sent down tranquility (sakinah) into 4:31 the hearts of the believers to increase 4:32 their faith." It is He, Allah, who 4:38 sends down a sense of sakinah into the 4:41 hearts of those who believe so that 4:44 their faith grows stronger day by day. 4:50 Therefore, in order to enjoy an 4:55 atmosphere filled with sakinah, we must 4:59 believe in Allah, surrender ourselves 5:03 to Him, and plead to Him to always 5:06 protect us so that we are truly in an 5:10 atmosphere that is always pleasing to 5:14 Allah. Once Allah is pleased with us, 5:19 we will live in sakinah, in a life that 5:23 will truly make us happy, put our 5:26 hearts at ease, and keep us away from 5:29 fear. Likewise with sadness. Therefore, 5:35 in household life, whether it is the 5:38 husband or the wife, they must truly 5:40 strive to grow faith in their hearts. 5:47 So that they are always in an 5:48 atmosphere of sakinah while obeying 5:50 Allah's commands. Through prayer, they 5:54 can also truly draw themselves closer 5:56 to Allah. If there are things they need 5:59 , they can pour out their hearts to 6:02 Allah. If there are unpleasant things 6:06 or something bad happens, they can take 6:09 refuge and complain to Allah so that 6:11 Allah delivers them from difficulty and 6:14 hardship. If a husband and wife are 6:20 truly pious to Allah and always rely on 6:23 Him, things that often cause strife and 6:27 anger in the household will disappear. 6:32 Allah will keep away the disturbances 6:36 of the devil that often cause a man as 6:39 a husband to explode due to outside 6:42 influences or because he falters in 6:45 facing trials. The same applies to 6:49 women in household life. She takes care 6:51 of her husband and also takes care of 6:53 the children. Sometimes they truly feel 6:56 in such an uncomfortable state that it 6:58 makes them very easily flare up and 7:01 explode. But with Allah's help, His 7:05 mercy, and His assistance, a husband 7:07 and wife will be able to live a life 7:10 full of mawaddah (affection) and rahmah 7:12 (mercy). And they will be together in 7:16 an atmosphere full of sakinah ( 7:18 tranquility) that Allah descends into 7:21 the hearts of the believers. And it is 7:25 necessary for all of us, fathers and 7:28 mothers, to know that Allah gives 7:31 wealth 7:33 >> to both the believers and the 7:35 disbelievers. Sometimes the 7:38 disbelievers even possess greater 7:40 wealth than the believers. But the 7:44 atmosphere of sakinah, Allah will not 7:46 give except only to those who 7:51 >> those who deny Allah and turn away from 7:54 Him, even if they have status and 7:56 abundant wealth, they will never find a 7:58 sense of sakinah in their hearts. 8:02 People on the outside view them as 8:04 happy, but in reality, they are not 8:06 happy in the true sense. 8:10 >> They live in delusion. They do things 8:15 that give them a little enjoyment and 8:18 pleasure. But what they have to 8:21 sacrifice to get that pleasure is heavy 8:24 and immense. In contrast to those on 8:28 the path of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, 8:30 their entire struggle is not limited to 8:33 worldly life, but for the hereafter. 8:36 Where they will enjoy a true life, not 8:39 a fleeting life. Now, if you (mother) 8:43 always remember Allah, and your husband 8:47 also always remembers Allah Subhanahu 8:50 wa Ta'ala, surely this life will be 8:52 light. 8:53 >> Because we do not live for this world, 8:55 but we live in this world to prepare 8:58 for a life that is far more beautiful 9:01 and far more vast. And there, humans 9:05 will find true happiness. Therefore, if 9:10 you ask, is it possible for your 9:12 husband to do such things again? As 9:16 long as the husband is far from Allah, 9:19 and you are also far from Allah, these 9:21 incidents will continue to repeat. 9:25 Therefore, when your husband is no 9:27 longer exploding, try to get closer to 9:30 Allah together with your husband. Enjoy 9:34 and absorb the moment when you complain 9:36 to Allah during your prayer. God 9:38 willing, with the blessing of you 9:41 drawing closer to Allah. Allah 9:43 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will calm your 9:44 husband's anger. Allah Subhanahu wa 9:47 Ta'ala will put his heart at ease. He 9:49 will treat you well and with honor. So 9:53 you must know that this repeated 9:55 behavior of a husband who likes to 9:57 explode and flare up. All of this is 10:01 because he forgets Allah. If only he 10:07 remembered Allah, remembered the 10:09 hereafter, and knew his obligations to 10:11 his family, he would not do this. You 10:14 may also often forget Allah. You rarely 10:19 remember the hereafter. You are only 10:22 living, well, for this world. This is 10:25 what often causes despair, God forbid, 10:27 even if you have various sources of 10:29 pleasure in your hands, you still 10:31 cannot enjoy that pleasure. But if you 10:36 are always with Allah, always 10:38 remembering Allah and the hereafter, 10:41 even the little you have will bring 10:44 blessings, peace, and happiness. So, I 10:48 do not know what will happen in the 10:50 future. Will it still repeat itself? 10:53 But if you want to stop all of this, 10:55 draw yourself closer to Allah. 10:57 >> Complain to Allah. If necessary, shed 11:01 your tears while in prostration. Hope 11:04 that your husband is given guidance, 11:06 given peace of mind, and given 11:08 tranquility so that he can treat his 11:10 wife with nobility. Avoid sin, and draw 11:15 closer to Allah. You, along with your 11:19 husband and children, will truly find 11:22 happiness in this worldly life before 11:25 the true happiness and peace in the 11:27 hereafter. God knows best. 11:29 >> Alright, thank you, Ustaz Husein. Now, 11:31 Ustaz Abu Bakar. 11:33 >> Let us see what Ustaz Abu Bakar's 11:35 answer is. 11:37 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 11:38 , the Most Merciful. May the peace, 11:41 mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon 11:43 you. And may the peace, mercy, and 11:45 blessings of Allah be upon you too. 11:48 >> Praise be to Allah, we are grateful to 11:52 Allah. We find blessings from Allah, 11:58 and we will always receive them when 12:03 someone marries and sees that the 12:08 person is good. When those goodnesses 12:15 appear, we must be grateful to Allah. 12:22 When that goodness appears, we must be 12:24 grateful. As previously explained by 12:29 Ustaz Husein, if we are not close to 12:32 Allah, then that goodness will be far 12:34 away. Why does he keep getting angry? 12:41 He is kind in front of others, but gets 12:45 angry in front of his wife. How long 12:49 has it been? Four years, right? Three 12:51 years or four years? 12:53 >> Four years. 12:53 >> Four years of marriage. Only four years 12:57 into the marriage, she is already being 12:59 scolded, hit, and treated poorly. Then 13:03 one or two days later, he is kind again 13:06 , happy again. That is something being 13:12 suppressed. So, before getting married, 13:17 he had already been holding back his 13:19 anger and emotions. He stores them, 13:24 truly stores them. He acts like a good 13:29 person. But he is storing them. Where 13:31 is he storing them from? From actions 13:34 that he did not actually do. By whom? 13:38 There is someone else intervening. 13:41 There is someone determining him, 13:45 controlling him, and acting upon him. 13:49 Yes, he does not know. When this 13:53 ignorance keeps accumulating, he feels 13:56 uneasy. So this person is always under 14:04 the power of others. He is under the 14:11 power of others, but he does not know 14:13 what that power is. Yet, he is firmly 14:17 being controlled. When he is controlled 14:21 , various things arise. Now, that is 14:27 what we must release. We should not let 14:32 him suppress himself. Who will he 14:35 eventually vent his anger on? Those 14:38 closest to him, those who are always 14:41 with him, those under him, even if only 14:45 slightly under his authority; he will 14:48 suppress them because he dare not do it 14:52 to others, especially when he has 14:55 children. It is his children who get 14:58 scolded. Now, notice that when a 15:01 husband has done something like that, 15:04 it will continue to accumulate, 15:07 accumulate, and accumulate as 15:09 previously explained by Ustaz Husin, 15:12 except for the guidance of Allah. If he 15:18 receives the guidance of Allah, then 15:20 everything will disappear. How do we 15:25 obtain the guidance of Allah? We pray 15:28 to Allah, we draw closer to Allah, then 15:31 that guidance will come. But 15:39 psychologically, what has happened to 15:42 him must be released. He must have the 15:48 courage to say, he must have the 15:51 courage to say that I will not do it 15:54 again. And that was in the past, that 15:59 was in the past, and I will not do it 16:02 again. And keep telling the husband 16:07 that the past actions were not right. 16:13 You must not be like that. Try saying 16:16 now, I will not do it again. I will not 16:21 do it again. Try saying that. Hopefully 16:25 , the husband can clearly say that. So, 16:30 provide information to the husband that 16:36 he must say, I will not do it again. 16:42 God willing, it can be better. God 16:45 willing. 16:46 >> Alright. Uh, the next case is from a 16:50 young man, Ustaz. Greetings, Ustaz. Uh, 16:54 4 years ago 16:55 >> wa 16:56 >> 4 years ago, I was accepted into the 16:57 Faculty of Economics at a public 16:59 university. My mother advised me not to 17:02 work at a bank later on. That was her 17:05 advice. Now my mother has passed away, 17:09 and after graduating, I actually have 17:11 many offers from banks because my GPA 17:13 is good, which is 3.9. If I still work 17:17 at a bank, have I been disobedient to 17:19 my mother? That is all. In the name of 17:25 Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 17:26 Merciful. Throughout our life's journey 17:36 for the sake of our salvation and our 17:38 family, we should walk on the path that 17:41 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala blesses. 17:46 Never should we say that for now, we 17:48 will not follow Allah's guidance. Later 17:51 , when we are established, we will 17:53 return. 17:54 >> Yes. 17:56 >> Yes. 17:56 >> These are all truly wrong views and 17:58 choices. We do not know when our life 18:03 will end. Should we wait until we 18:07 repent and return to Allah Subhanahu wa 18:09 ta'ala? 18:11 >> Therefore, from the moment we are aware 18:15 of our life's purpose, we should 18:18 determine our choices. Be it during our 18:23 studies, from primary level, middle 18:26 school, high school, to university. 18:31 Likewise regarding the profession or 18:33 job we choose, it should be in line 18:35 with the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa 18:37 ta'ala. And remember, if we receive 18:43 continuous offers to work in a place 18:46 that is not in line with Allah's 18:50 pleasure. If we leave it. If we receive 18:55 offers from various places to work, but 18:58 it is not in line with Allah's pleasure 19:01 because it is not a clean place for a 19:04 believer to work. If we refuse, Allah 19:09 will replace it with a better job, one 19:11 that is lawful and in line with Allah's 19:13 pleasure. So, let us not assume we will 19:17 lose an opportunity if we do not accept 19:23 it, even though we have not yet found a 19:26 job to meet our needs. Realize that 19:31 before Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala grants 19:34 us His gifts and glory, He will test us 19:36 just as He tested His prophets, His 19:38 messengers, and the believers. 19:41 Therefore, you must pursue a path that 19:44 is pleasing to Allah. Avoid everything 19:48 that contradicts the pleasure of Allah. 19:50 Stay away from sinful acts, both during 19:54 your studies and while working. After 19:58 school, choose a job that truly 20:00 provides benefits for you, but is in 20:03 line with Allah's pleasure. As for 20:08 working at a bank, as we know, in its 20:12 operations and all its transactions, it 20:15 involves usury. 20:18 >> It involves transactions 20:20 >> of usury. 20:20 >> Usurious. And we know that those who 20:24 practice usury, if they do not repent, 20:27 they are at war with Allah Subhanahu wa 20:29 ta'ala. If we use bank services for 20:34 transfers, for payments, or let's say 20:37 for leasing, in itself, that is 20:39 something fully permissible. But if we 20:43 work at a bank, we will inevitably be 20:45 involved in various types of 20:47 transactions forbidden by Allah 20:49 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. And these are 20:54 thorns along our life's journey. And if 21:00 we do not return to the path of Allah 21:03 Subhanahu wa ta'ala because we doubt 21:05 Allah's promises and trust the 21:08 temptations of the devil offering 21:10 various pleasures and profits, this 21:13 will truly be a serious threat to us. 21:17 We only stay in this world for a short 21:19 while. After that, we will stand before 21:21 the Master of the Day of Judgment. 21:23 >> Therefore, Allah reminds us every time 21:26 we recite Al-Fatihah, Allah reminds us 21:29 of the Master of the Day of Judgment. 21:33 >> We will stand one by one before Allah 21:36 to account for our choices, our 21:38 attitudes, and our deeds. Therefore, to 21:42 our brother, obey your mother's advice. 21:46 Because her advice is in line with the 21:48 pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 21:51 Look for another job. Hopefully, by 21:54 abandoning sin, Allah will show you a 21:58 better, more noble job that can truly 22:02 bring light and peace into your life, 22:06 free from fear, doubt, and sadness. And 22:11 know that the one who provides your 22:13 sustenance is not the bank. Neither is 22:16 it your job. 22:17 >> Work is a means. 22:20 >> Allah commanded us to work. Allah has 22:22 the power to provide us with sustenance 22:24 without working. 22:26 >> But only those who work hard can truly 22:29 enjoy the benefits of their labor. 22:34 >> And Allah loves those who work. Allah 22:37 Subhanahu wa ta'ala loves those who 22:39 choose work that is in line with 22:41 Allah's pleasure. Allah will not waste 22:43 or abandon them. So obey your mother, 22:47 obey Allah. God willing, throughout 22:49 your journey, you will always be shaded 22:51 by His mercy. Likewise for your family. 22:55 And let us not doubt the promises of 22:57 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Wallahu'alam 23:00 (Allah knows best). 23:02 >> Alright, Ustaz Bakar. 23:04 >> Yes. In the name of Allah, the Most 23:08 Gracious, the Most Merciful. So when we 23:14 want to work, when we want to work, 23:18 various kinds of environments exist. 23:26 Now, out of those various environments, 23:29 there are one or two that are not 23:32 permitted. So, we are allowed to eat, 23:39 drink, do whatever we want, but there 23:42 are some things that are forbidden. So, 23:48 we will not do those things. If we do 23:52 them, we will feel conflicted. If we 23:57 take a job at a bank, we work, but if 24:01 our heart and our mother have stated 24:04 that it is not good to work at a bank, 24:08 that thought will linger. 24:13 >> Wherever we go, we will carry it with 24:15 us. When he is working on something, 24:19 enjoying it, suddenly his mother's 24:21 words come up that he shouldn't work at 24:24 a bank. He gets startled, then for a 24:28 moment he continues working again. It's 24:33 useless, the results will also be 24:35 varied. So, the provision is, when 24:41 Mother has said do not work at a bank. 24:46 That's it, we don't need to work at a 24:48 bank. Is there no other work? There is 24:51 plenty. Just as we are allowed to eat, 24:57 drink, and do everything except, as God 25:00 says, what is forbidden. Now it has 25:06 been explained that the bank is not 25:08 allowed. So be it, we don't need to 25:12 reason that oh, Mother is already gone. 25:16 When she was here, we remained silent. 25:18 Mother is gone. Are her words still 25:21 there or not? Her words are there in 25:25 his mind. Now, in his mind, it settles. 25:31 When he is working, the words "don't 25:34 work at a bank" appear. What happens? 25:40 He will be confused. He will be 25:42 confused doing this. If he takes a job 25:46 at a bank, he will be living in 25:49 confusion. So firmly seek, and surely 25:54 God will provide. Look for various 25:58 kinds of work, they exist. Even if it's 26:03 small. Maybe at the bank the pay is 26:06 more, perhaps 10 to 20 million, but in 26:10 other places only 5 to 6 million. Which 26:15 one is better? The 5 to 6 million one 26:18 will bring blessings. The 10 million 26:23 one he spends here, buys this, buys 26:25 that, it runs out every month. If it's 26:29 5 to 6 million, he will decide to buy 26:31 things that are good and pleasing. That 26:35 is surely how it is. So it is not about 26:40 the result obtained, not the gain we 26:44 receive, but what we do. God willing, 26:51 if he decides he will not work at a 26:54 bank, God willing, he will find other 26:57 jobs that can be even better. God 27:00 willing. 27:01 >> Very well. Mashallah. This is from Mrs. 27:04 Nurjana. Greetings to Ustaz Husein and 27:05 Ustaz Abu Bakar. 27:07 >> I seek your explanation. Is it wrong 27:09 for us to collect a debt from our own 27:11 child? If I give, praise be to God, 27:13 Lord of the worlds. Every month my 27:15 needs are met, but my child owes me and 27:17 I am collecting it. However, other 27:19 family members say to me, it's your own 27:21 child. How can you be so heartless as 27:22 to collect a debt? What do you say, 27:24 Ustaz? This is from Australia, Ustaz. 27:25 From Sydney, please. 27:27 >> In the name of God, the Most Gracious, 27:29 the Most Merciful. A mother is full of 27:32 love and affection for her child. When 27:37 her child is in need, a mother will not 27:39 count the costs. When her child is sick 27:43 , she will not hesitate. When she has 27:46 nothing, she will borrow here and there 27:48 to provide help for her child. But when 27:53 a mother is in need, it is not certain 27:58 that her children 28:00 >> will care or fulfill their mother's 28:02 wishes. 28:03 >> Masyaallah. Yet God reminds human 28:06 beings to always be kind to both their 28:09 parents. Especially one's mother; even 28:13 if a person dedicated their entire life 28:16 to their mother, they would never be 28:20 able to repay her love, affection, and 28:23 sacrifices. Therefore, when a child 28:27 sees their mother in need—especially 28:30 when there are several children, and 28:32 perhaps another sibling also has needs, 28:35 or the mother simply has requirements 28:38 —the child should not be reluctant. 28:42 If a wife asks, their hands open 28:44 without being prompted. If their wife 28:48 asks, their hands open easily and even 28:50 wide, without any calculation. But when 28:55 their mother needs something, the child 28:57 says, "I don't have it right now, Mom, 28:59 I have too many expenses, this and that 29:01 ," and so on. How rebellious a child 29:04 like this is. Now, if a mother lends 29:08 her child money, and then when she is 29:11 in need she asks for it back, not only 29:14 should the child return what is owed, 29:17 but adding even more than what the 29:20 mother lent is a great honor for a 29:23 child. Therefore, if we owe a debt to 29:28 our mother and she needs that money 29:31 back, the child should truly prioritize 29:34 their mother's request. We may not know 29:40 exactly what she needs or wants, but we 29:44 should be truly attentive, caring, and 29:47 respectful of what our parents ask for 29:50 their needs. If we are able, we should 29:54 give it. If she lent us money, when she 29:58 needs it, return that money. And this 30:02 does not mean the mother is being petty 30:04 with her child. Humans have needs. We 30:09 don't know her needs, or perhaps she 30:11 wants to give charity, to do good deeds 30:13 as provisions for the hereafter. So, if 30:17 a child wants their life to have 30:19 abundant sustenance, to be in good 30:21 health, to have a long life, and to 30:24 have their life blessed, 30:27 >> they must be devoted to their mother. 30:30 This is a source of infinite blessings. 30:35 Hopefully, this becomes an act of 30:38 devotion for them in this world, a 30:40 blessing in their life, and in the 30:42 hereafter, may God gather them with 30:45 those who are obedient to God and 30:47 devoted to their parents. Wallahu'alam. 30:50 >> Very well, Ustaz, please proceed. 30:53 >> In the name of God, the Most Gracious, 30:55 the Most Merciful. So let us observe 30:59 when a mother has a transaction with 31:02 her child. So, a mother lends money. 31:11 When a mother lends money, is she 31:13 actually lending money? No. She is only 31:21 lending it for, let's say, if I want to 31:24 borrow from my mother, "Mom, can I 31:27 borrow some money?" Well, what the 31:31 mother gives is just her way of giving, 31:35 >> not lending. But if it is there, she 31:40 asks for it back to lend to someone 31:43 else. So a mother should be able to— 31:49 not just "here it's given, it's given, 31:52 it's given," until the mother has 31:54 nothing left. No. Because when a child 32:00 wants to borrow, it is lent by the 32:02 mother. When the mother eventually asks 32:07 for it, she will ask again. If we have, 32:12 as previously stated, extra, we don't 32:17 add more because of usury or otherwise. 32:19 We are giving. So, in other words, a 32:24 mother is not lending this money for it 32:27 to circulate everywhere. So it is not 32:32 lending. Since childhood, he was given 32:37 pocket money, given this, given that. 32:41 Is that also considered a loan? Now, 32:46 suppose a mother tells you to calculate 32:49 everything from childhood, food, drinks 32:52 , um, snacks, see how much it all adds 32:55 up to. Now, you return that to your 33:00 mother. Well, that is, um, a different 33:04 issue. That mother's issue is a 33:09 separate matter. However, if a mother 33:14 lends, it's not a literal loan, but she 33:19 just lends it out. If you have money, 33:23 pay it back. If you have money, pay it 33:26 back. So it’s not like what was 33:30 mentioned earlier about a wife or a 33:33 child, where it's given, but to the 33:35 mother, it's not hidden. No. So she 33:40 lends it, then takes that money back. 33:45 Lends it again, takes that money back 33:47 again. Later, she lends it to another 33:50 child and takes that money back again. 33:53 So that money adds up. It's not just a 33:57 gift. That is what a mother does. God 34:03 willing, that is good. 34:06 >> God willing, that is good. God willing. 34:09 >> Alright. Next, from another wife. 34:14 >> Huh? 34:15 >> K 34:16 >> maybe one more. Wait. 34:18 >> I am confused about my husband 34:20 regarding his finances. I am given just 34:22 enough money for shopping, that's it. 34:24 He gives enough money for me. But, um, 34:27 Ustaz, I often find that my husband 34:29 likes to hide his money. Whether in 34:33 shoes, tucked inside books, or under 34:34 the car mat. I feel offended. What is 34:37 the meaning of him doing that, why does 34:40 he seem not transparent with me? Am I 34:42 allowed to ask why you keep money here? 34:45 Like that. 34:47 >> In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 34:48 , the Most Merciful. Indeed, many men 34:51 are not transparent about the income 34:56 they earn. They provide enough 35:01 sustenance for their wives and children 35:03 . To avoid being found out by his wife, 35:06 he keeps a large amount of money hidden 35:08 . There was an oplet driver who, after 35:12 finishing his shift in the afternoon, 35:15 would bring home money according to 35:17 their needs. While the rest was stored 35:20 under the oplet carpet in the past, or 35:23 inside his socks. When asked, "Why do 35:27 you hide it?" He said, "If my wife 35:29 knows I have a lot of money, she will 35:31 ask for a lot." If I don't give it, she 35:34 gets angry with me. If I give it, 35:37 meanwhile I need it for various other 35:39 matters. As the head of the household, 35:42 there are many needs, after all. 35:44 Sometimes it's prepared for the 35:45 children's school, sometimes for this 35:48 need or that need. Therefore, if the 35:50 wife knows that he has a large amount 35:52 of money, she will ask for more. 35:55 Refusing it hurts the wife's feelings. 35:58 If it is all given away, there are 36:00 things he still needs. So, ma'am, it is 36:02 better to think positively of your 36:04 husband. It’s not that the husband is 36:08 stingy, but perhaps he wants to save 36:11 for something more important for the 36:15 future. It could be that he wants to 36:17 give charity with what he has because 36:18 there is an obligation to give charity 36:20 and zakat on it. So, it's better if we 36:23 don't see any negative signs from our 36:26 husbands, let's not harbor suspicion. 36:30 Ma'am, to be happier and calmer, you 36:32 can close your eyes to things like this 36:35 . Unless your husband uses that money 36:39 for improper deeds, or for chasing 36:42 women, or drinking, or squandering 36:45 wealth in the wrong places. In this 36:49 case, you need to remind your husband. 36:52 As long as your household needs are met 36:54 , the act of a husband hiding money is 36:57 usually done by those who are a bit 36:59 simple-minded. But smarter ones, they 37:04 keep their money in storage places, 37:07 like in a bank, or in other places, or 37:09 in the form of investments. So, don't 37:14 be discouraged, and don't be suspicious 37:16 . Unless you find improper signs, then 37:19 you should remind your husband. If you 37:23 want to ask, you may. You ask your 37:28 husband, "Why are you hiding what you 37:32 have?" 37:34 >> Are you perhaps not being transparent? 37:36 Are you afraid I might ask for it? Okay 37:39 . 37:41 >> If you ask in a kind manner, God 37:43 willing, he will give a good answer. 37:47 The important thing is to do it 37:49 properly, not by showing suspicion or 37:51 making demands. Often, a husband's ego 37:55 gets bruised, eventually leading to 37:58 anger and uncomfortable situations. 38:02 Praise be to God, your needs are being 38:04 met. Many wives are neglected by their 38:07 husbands. They demand money for 38:09 shopping, which is negligible, but they 38:11 make demands for this and that, this 38:13 and that. We often encounter men like 38:16 this. So be grateful for Allah's 38:19 blessings, pray to Allah Subhanahu wa 38:21 ta'ala to protect your household, 38:23 shower it with mercy and blessings, 38:25 grant health to your husband so he can 38:28 work, and keep him from sinful deeds. 38:31 That is the most important thing. God 38:33 knows best. 38:34 >> Alright, Ustaz Abu Bakar Baraja, please 38:35 go ahead. 38:36 >> Yes. So bismillah, we know that a 38:42 husband has personal desires, so he 38:47 gives his work earnings to his wife and 38:52 keeps the rest. For what? For his 38:58 personal use. Well, that savings is not 39:02 something different. If he has 39:06 something different, well, that should 39:08 be questioned. But now he is just 39:11 saving it. In the past, when there were 39:15 no banks or anything, maybe he kept it 39:17 under his shoes or carried it around. 39:21 So he saves it. Will the wife not see 39:26 it later? Yes, she will see it. Oh, if 39:28 it's under his shoes, she might see it, 39:31 look, and ask, "What is this?" Under 39:33 the carpet. When wanting to sweep or 39:36 clean the carpet, suddenly something is 39:38 left behind. Well, there are people who 39:43 do have the desire to save in one place 39:47 . Saving in one place. Many people are 39:52 like that. That is just who they are. 39:56 Well, we should remind them that such 39:58 behavior is not good. If he hides 40:03 things in one place, then in another, 40:06 and again in another, he will only 40:09 confuse himself. So, remind him that 40:14 you are keeping it here. We know it, so 40:18 we just say, "You hid that here under 40:21 the carpet." Caught now. Oh God, how 40:26 did you find out? Ah, that's it. So, we 40:29 remind him as a wife that it is not 40:33 good. It could be something that brings 40:39 pleasure to the husband. It could also 40:44 be because he is afraid of his husband 40:46 noticing he has money. It could be 40:50 various things. So, keep in mind that 40:54 there is a bank, we put it in the bank. 40:58 Now, wanting to put it there, that is a 41:01 different approach. So we say, remind 41:05 him, remind him, okay. So we remind him 41:10 , *fadzakkir*. *Fadzakkir*, remind him. 41:14 So for a husband like that, we remind 41:17 him. If he has been reminded and it is 41:20 finished but he still cannot change, 41:23 that is a different issue that we will 41:26 address. Thank you. * 41:28 >> Alhamdulillah*. Thank you. Hopefully, 41:30 everything can be answered, yes, for 41:31 those who have sent their questions. 41:33 Thank you, Ustaz Husin. Ustaz Abu Bakar 41:35 Baraja. 41:36 >> Alright, we will meet again on this, 41:38 why is it Tuesday? Someone asked why 41:40 Tuesday. 41:40 >> Yes. Early in the morning, right? 41:42 >> Oh, early in the morning. Okay, God 41:44 willing, we will meet again next week 41:46 with my colleagues, Muhammad Krishna 41:47 Rafa and Amar, also Algi. We excuse 41:50 ourselves. *Assalamualaikum 41:52 warahmatullahi wabarakatuh*. * 41:53 >> Waalaikumsalam*.
