- In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious
- , the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you,
- and Allah's mercy and blessings. O
- Allah, send blessings upon our master
- Muhammad and the family of our master
- Muhammad. Yes, as usual, Silaturahim
- Radio and Rasil TV present the morning
- reflection program under the shade of
- the Qur'an with Ustaz Husin Alatas.
- Alright, for today's lesson, let us
- open Surah Al-Mujadilah, God willing,
- starting from verse 7. Peace be upon
- you, Ustaz Husin.
- And peace be upon you, and Allah's
- mercy and blessings. I seek refuge in
- Allah from the accursed Satan. In the
- name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the
- Most Merciful. All praise is due to
- Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah,
- send blessings upon Muhammad and the
- family of Muhammad. Our Lord, grant us
- mercy from Yourself and guide us in our
- affair to the right path. O Allah, we
- seek refuge in You from being misguided
- or going astray, from oppressing or
- being oppressed, and from being
- ignorant or having ignorance displayed
- toward us. Our Lord, increase us in
- knowledge, and protect us. Brothers and
- sisters, listeners and viewers of
- Silaturahim Radio and Television, may
- you be blessed by Allah. Peace, mercy,
- and blessings of Allah be upon you.
- Praise be to Allah, this morning we can
- continue our reflection under the shade
- of the Qur'an. God willing, this
- morning we will reflect together on
- several verses from Surah Al-Mujadilah,
- starting from verse 7 to verse 10. Let
- us begin our reflection by reciting the
- Mother of the Qur'an, followed by the
- verses that, God willing, we will
- reflect on together. I seek refuge in
- Allah from the accursed Satan. In the
- name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the
- Most Merciful. All praise is due to
- Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most
- Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of
- the Day of Judgment. It is You we
- worship and You we ask for help. Guide
- us to the straight path. The path of
- those upon whom You have bestowed favor
- . Not of those who have evoked Your
- anger, nor of those who are astray.
- Have you not considered that Allah
- knows what is in the heavens and what
- is on the earth? There is no secret
- counsel of three but He is the fourth
- of them. Nor of five but He is the
- sixth of them. Nor less than that or
- more but He is with them wherever they
- are. Then He will inform them of what
- they did on the Day of Resurrection.
- Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing
- . Have you not seen those who were
- forbidden from private conversation,
- then they return to that which they
- were forbidden and converse in sin and
- aggression and disobedience to the
- Messenger? And when they come to you,
- they greet you with a greeting that
- Allah does not greet you with. And they
- say among themselves, "Why does Allah
- not punish us for what we say?"
- Sufficient for them is Hell, which they
- will enter; and wretched is the
- destination. O you who have believed,
- when you converse privately, do not
- converse in sin and aggression and
- disobedience to the Messenger. But
- converse in righteousness and piety.
- And fear Allah, to whom you will be
- gathered. Private conversation is only
- from Satan that he may grieve those who
- have believed. But he will not harm
- them at all except by permission of
- Allah. And upon Allah let the believers
- rely. Allah the Almighty has spoken the
- truth. And His noble Messenger has
- testified, and we...Brothers and
- sisters, may you be blessed by Allah.
- When the Prophet began his preaching in
- the holy city of Makkah, the majority
- of its inhabitants were polytheists,
- the idolaters. When they listened to
- what the Messenger conveyed, inviting
- them back to Allah, leaving behind the
- deities they worshipped which had no
- basis in truth at all. A large portion
- of them resisted, denied, and
- disbelieved. Given that the strength of
- the believers was so weak, the majority
- were polytheists. Therefore, whenever
- those who resisted and denied arose,
- they did not hide their stance. Because
- of this, in the city of Makkah before
- the migration, there was not a single
- hypocrite. Because at that time, they
- did not need to be hypocrites, for
- their power was greater than the power
- of the Muslims. But ever since our
- Prophet Muhammad, may Allah's peace and
- blessings be upon him and his family,
- migrated to Madinah, and the people of
- Madinah welcomed him. The two great
- tribes, Aus and Khazraj, their leaders
- and followers declared that they
- believed. Then the majority of the
- people of Madinah had entered Islam and
- believed in Allah, except for a few who
- felt that the Prophet's arrival in
- their midst was detrimental to them.
- The Prophet's influence overshadowed
- theirs. Finally, they did not dare to
- show their disbelief. Instead, they hid
- their disbelief by pretending to have
- faith in Islam. The Prophet's mission
- in Makkah faced disbelief openly and
- directly. However, in Madinah, the most
- severe pressure came from the People of
- the Book, who had resided in Madinah
- for quite a long time. They had lived
- in Madinah for hundreds of years. They
- profited from the conflicts and
- disputes they stirred up between the
- Aus and Khazraj and their allies. The
- Prophet's arrival threatened the
- economic interests of the Jews.
- Likewise, it threatened their allies
- among the hypocrites, like Abdullah bin
- Ubay bin Salul and others. In the end,
- they did not dare to show their true
- attitude openly. They frequently
- gossiped and whispered, showing their
- dissatisfaction with the Prophet and
- his message. Some believers, whose
- faith was weak, were also influenced by
- them. They would listen to what the
- hypocrites said. Eventually, without
- realizing it, they were doing what
- Allah had forbidden. Chatting,
- whispering, and holding secret
- conversations, but in sin and hostility
- . Basically, whispering or talking in
- secret is not something that is
- forbidden. As long as it does not lead
- to sin or acts that demonstrate
- hostility toward their fellow brothers.
- Therefore, Allah says in Surah An-Nisa,
- "La khaira fi kathirin min najwahum."
- There is no benefit in most of their
- whispering. "Amrin bi sadaqatin aw
- ma'rufin aw islahin bainan-nas." Except
- when they whisper to encourage people
- to do what? To give charity, help
- others, or perform good deeds, or to
- reconcile between two people who are in
- conflict. Whispering to do those three
- things—encouraging charity,
- performing good deeds, and reconciling
- people in conflict—is a good thing.
- But what is condemned and opposed is
- secret conversation and whispering that
- causes unrest, creates terror, spreads
- slander, weakens the strength of the
- believers, and stirs up doubt among
- them. Allah reminds us of this first in
- verse 7 of Surah Al-Mujadilah. I seek
- refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
- . "Alam tara annallaha ya'lamu ma
- fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard." Do you not
- know, understand, and see that Allah
- knows everything in the heavens and
- everything on earth? Nothing is hidden
- from Allah. "Ma yakunu min najwa
- thalathatin illa huwa rabi'uhum." There
- is no secret gathering of three people
- speaking in private, but that Allah is
- the fourth among them. "Wala khamsatin
- illa huwa sadisuhum." And there is no
- secret gathering of five people, but
- that Allah is the sixth among them. "
- Wala adna min dhalika wala akthara illa
- huwa ma'ahum aynama kanu." And there is
- no number less or more than that, but
- that Allah is with them wherever they
- are. "Thumma yunabbi'uhum bima 'amilu
- yawmal-qiyamah." Then He will inform
- them of what they did on the Day of
- Resurrection. Allah will reveal all
- their secrets. "Innallaha bikulli
- shay'in' alim." Indeed, Allah is
- All-Knowing of everything. So Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala knows what we
- declare and what we keep secret. Even
- the whispers of our hearts are known to
- Allah. And everything we do and say is
- recorded by the two angels on our right
- and left. And one day, everything will
- be revealed, and Allah will hold us
- accountable. So if we are among those
- who believe in Allah and the Last Day,
- let us speak only what is true and good
- , or remain silent to avoid harm.
- Innallaha bikulli shay'in 'alim. Indeed
- , Allah is All-Knowing of everything.
- After that, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala
- proceeds to warn us not to whisper or
- hold secret meetings for disobedience
- to Allah, opposition to His Messenger,
- or to commit sin or hostility.
- Encouraging us to be hostile towards
- one another. Alam tara ilal-ladhina
- nuhu' an an-najwa. Do you not see those
- who were forbidden to hold secret
- meetings or whisper, regarding acts of
- sin? It turns out they were forbidden,
- yet they returned to it. Then they
- returned to what Allah Subhanahu wa
- Ta'ala had forbidden. And they whisper
- secretly to commit acts of sin. Wal- '
- udwan, or to commit acts that lead to
- hostility and violate the rights of
- others. Whether it concerns their honor
- , their character, their self-esteem,
- or their wealth. They whisper while
- committing sinful acts. Likewise with
- al-' udwan, hostility and violations
- against the rights of others. Wa
- ma'siyati ar-Rasul. And they whisper in
- order to disobey and oppose the
- Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings
- be upon him and his family. Wa idha
- ja'uka hayyawka bima lam yuhayyika
- bihillah. When they come before you,
- they greet you with a greeting that is
- not how Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala
- taught them. In greeting you, O
- Messenger, they do not follow how Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala greets you. We see
- that Allah never calls His Prophet "O
- Muhammad," but instead says "O Prophet,
- ""O Messenger,""O Enwrapped One," or "O
- Cloaked One." Allah never says "O
- Muhammad." Then Allah taught us a
- beautiful greeting, which is "Assalamu
- 'alaikum." But it turns out they come
- before the Messenger, calling him by
- his name. Calling his name instead of
- his titles as Prophet and Messenger as
- taught by Allah. Then in greeting, they
- sometimes use common greetings from the
- Jahiliyyah society, like "Im sabahan."
- Sometimes they follow the ways of the
- Jews, where the greeting is ambiguous.
- It could imply a good meaning, or what?
- An evil meaning. So if we observe
- together, those who do not believe have
- no respect in their hearts for Allah,
- let alone for the Messenger who was
- sent. They have no respect for the Holy
- Book that Allah revealed. Therefore,
- they view the Messenger as being the
- same as them, or perhaps even lower
- than them. And they do not view the
- Book of Allah with respect, as verses
- revealed from the side of Allah
- Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. God and their
- Creator are not in their hearts at all.
- Therefore, their arrogant attitude,
- their disobedience, as well as their
- mockery of what the Messenger brought,
- are so clear. Then they twist the facts
- . Justifying the wrong, blaming the
- right. Wa jauka bima lam yuhika
- bihillah. And when they come before you
- , they offer greetings and salutations.
- Not as God greets you. Bima naqul. And
- they say to themselves, "Why does God
- still not punish us for what we say?"
- As if they are challenging God. They
- say, "Why have we done this, yet God
- does not punish or penalize us?" If God
- grants their request, they are the ones
- who will suffer the loss. Not God. God
- has no need for them, but they are the
- ones in need of God. Hasbuhum jahanamu
- yaslaunaha fabisal masir. So the
- appropriate reward for them, which is
- sufficient for them, is the fire of
- Hell. And that is the worst of all
- destinations. People who ridicule, who
- mock God and His sent Messenger.
- Likewise His Book. People like them are
- worthy of inhabiting the fire of Hell.
- And that is the worst of all
- destinations. After that, God reaffirms
- , "Ya ayyuhalladzina amanu, O you who
- believe. tanajaitum fala tatanau bilmi
- wal udwani warasul. If you whisper to
- one another, do not whisper to commit
- sins, to violate the rights of others,
- or to oppose the Messenger. Watanajau
- bil birri wat taqwa. But on the
- contrary, whisper to one another in
- good deeds and piety toward God.
- Wattaqulahalladzi ilaihi tuhsyarun. And
- fear God, to whom you will all be
- gathered. If we do not think about the
- Hereafter, whispering, harming the
- honor of our brothers, violating rights
- , are shameful and disgraceful acts.
- Moreover, for those who believe in the
- Hereafter, knowing that angels on their
- right and left record their deeds, is
- it proper for them to speak, to whisper
- about things forbidden and abhorred by
- God, the Glorified and Exalted. Now,
- what we encounter recently on social
- media, whether through WA, Facebook, or
- Instagram, we see how bad conversations
- spread, plaguing those among them.
- Eliminating trust or mutual confidence
- among us. Making it easy for someone to
- stab, to harm another person's
- reputation. assassinating their
- character, sowing hatred and hostility.
- Even though this is something forbidden
- by God, the Glorified and Exalted, in
- His Book. Then God reminds us," Wa
- ilaihi tuhsyarun, and to Him you will
- be gathered, assembled. "Innaman najwa
- minasyaitan. Indeed, Najwa, speaking in
- secret to commit sin. This is actually
- an act that originates from Satan.
- liyahzunalladzina amanu to make those
- who believe sad, grieved by the news
- and whispers that they spread. That is
- their goal, to make those who believe
- grieve and feel sad. Waaisa bidimaian
- illa biidnillah. Whereas all of that
- will not harm them in the slightest
- except by the permission of Allah. Wa'
- alallahi falyatawakkalil mu'minun. And
- it is upon Allah alone that the
- believers should place their trust and
- rely. Brothers and sisters, may Allah
- have mercy on you. When Allah reminds
- us not to whisper about disobedience to
- Allah, about violating the rights of
- others, or gathering together to plan
- sinful deeds, this is something that
- will harm us and cause Allah to turn
- away from us all. So let us together
- guard our mouths, guard our vision,
- guard our hearing, and also guard our
- chastity. And let us never
- underestimate such sinful deeds.
- Because this can cast us far away from
- the pleasure of Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala. Let us maintain our integrity
- by upholding the manners and etiquette
- as taught in the Quran in Surah
- Al-Hujurat. How Allah reminds us, as
- fellow humans from the same parents, to
- protect our brothers, not to mock them,
- not to insult them, not to give them
- inappropriate nicknames, not to search
- for their faults, and also not to
- backbite or speak of their bad
- qualities? What we should do as fellow
- believers is: spread a fragrant aroma,
- encourage people to do good, encourage
- people to truly return with conviction
- to Allah, and Allah will accept their
- arrival and forgive their sins. If we
- do this, God willing, this life will be
- full of peace. Therefore, I remind you,
- brothers and sisters listening to Radio
- Silaturahim, as well as the viewers, be
- careful with what we say. Which can
- cause slander, conflict, and division
- among the people, and benefit the
- enemies of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.
- May Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala grant His
- guidance to us all, forgive our sins,
- admit us into His mercy, protect us all
- from His punishment, and help us to
- guard our tongues, our eyes, our
- hearing, and our chastity from what
- Allah has forbidden. O Turner of hearts
- , keep our hearts firm upon Your
- religion. Forgive us for what we have
- done in the past and what we have
- delayed, what we have concealed and
- what we have revealed, and what You
- know better than we do. You are the
- Advancer and the Delayer, there is no
- god but You. O Allah, Protector of all
- things, we ask You for wellness in this
- world and the hereafter. May Allah send
- peace and blessings upon His servant
- and Messenger, Muhammad, and upon his
- family and companions. Praise be to
- Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace,
- mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon
- you.
- Alhamdulillah, brothers and sisters,
- after we listened to the reflections on
- the guidance of the Quran, which took
- from Surah Al-Mujadilah, or the 58th
- surah, verses 7 to 10. We also took
- from Surah An-Nisa and Surah Al-Hujurat
- earlier. Thank you all for your
- attention. God willing, we will meet
- again on Monday with Ustaz Husin Alatas
- . I, Muhammad Krishna Saputra, Khalid
- Mustofa, and also Fajar, bid you
- farewell. Wabillahi taufiq wal hidayah.
- Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- O Prophet, peace be upon you. O
- Messenger, peace be upon you. O Beloved
- , peace be upon you. May the prayers of
- Allah be upon him. There is no god but
- Allah. The manifest Truth. Muhammad is
- the Messenger of Allah. The truthful
- and the faithful.
