- Rasil TV For the one Islam.
- Auzubillahiminasyaitanirrajim.
- Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
- Alhamdulillahirabbilalamin. Allahumma
- sholli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad.
- Rabbana atina min ladunka rahmah
- wahayyi lana min amrina rasyada.
- Rabbana zidna ilman wa alhiqna
- bisolihin. Amma ba'du. Dawn
- congregation, may Allah have mercy on
- you. Salamullahi warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi
- wabarakatuh. In our previous reflection
- , Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala warned us
- all not to be arrogant, not to consider
- ourselves the most this or that, and so
- on. Instead, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
- reminds us to always be truly
- self-aware, not to consider ourselves
- better or more noble than others, as it
- will hinder our progress. We busy
- ourselves with the faults of others,
- but we forget to remember and pay
- attention to our own shortcomings. And
- this sin is a sin that plunged Iblis
- into the wrath of Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala. When he said before Allah, "Ana
- khairun minhu khalaqtani min narin wa
- khalaqtahu min tin." I am better than
- him; You created me from fire, while
- You created him from clay. He even
- arrogantly said before Allah, "Asjudu
- liman khalaqta tina." Am I to prostrate
- before a creature You created from clay
- ? The sin committed by Iblis is the sin
- that plunged him into Allah's wrath and
- curse, closing the doors to Allah's
- forgiveness. Whereas Adam, our ancestor
- alaihissalatu wassalam, he made a
- mistake, he committed a sin, but then
- he repented and did not act arrogantly,
- and he recited a prayer that opened the
- doors to Allah's mercy, showing his
- humility and modesty. Rabbana dalamna
- anfusana wa illam taghfir lana wa
- tarhamna lanakunanna minal khasirin. O
- our Lord, indeed we have wronged
- ourselves with the sins and
- transgressions we have committed. If
- You do not forgive our sins, we will
- surely be among the losers. Therefore,
- no matter how great a servant's sin may
- be, As long as they repent and return
- to Allah, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
- will forgive their mistakes. But what
- is terrifying and frightening is that
- arrogant people do not realize their
- own state. They are sick but feel they
- are the best. They are lost but feel
- they are on the most righteous path.
- Therefore, Allah reminds us in Surah
- Al-Kahf, "Qul hal nunabbiukum bil
- akhsarina a'mala." Shall We inform you
- of the greatest losers as to their
- deeds? "Alladhina dalla sa'yuhum
- fil-hayatid-dunya wahum yahsabuna
- annahum yuhsinuna sun'a." Those whose
- effort is lost in the life of this
- world, while they think that they are
- doing good work. Therefore, a believer
- cannot possibly be arrogant, nor can
- they feel better than others. If they
- hear praise for the good they have done
- , they will say, "Allahumma innaka
- a'lamu bi minni." O Allah, You know
- more about me than I know myself. "Wa
- ana a'lamu bi nafsi minhum." And I know
- myself better than they do. [And so on.
- ] O Allah, forgive the sins that You
- have covered which they do not know,
- and make me better than what they
- imagine me to be. Therefore, the
- Prophet and his companions were at the
- peak, yet their hearts trembled with
- fear. And they who give what they give
- while their hearts are fearful because
- they are about to return to their Lord.
- They strive, they donate, they work,
- but their hearts are full of worry and
- fear that they will one day return to
- Allah to account for their deeds, and
- nothing is final until the judgment of
- their deeds is complete. Therefore,
- wealth and poverty are determined by
- Allah after the earth. Wealth and
- poverty are not decided now. Only after
- one's deeds are laid out before Allah,
- and once Allah says you have passed and
- receive your book in your right hand,
- then you are truly wealthy, saved, and
- successful. In this world, someone who
- memorizes the Quran, holds a high
- position, has noble lineage, or even
- has contributed to the struggle, could
- still slip from Allah's grace and path
- at the end of their life due to
- arrogance. But how many people who were
- lost or did evil, suddenly at the end
- of their lives, receive guidance from
- Allah because of their humility and
- lowliness. So, let us not deny Allah's
- mercy to others, and let us not
- guarantee Allah's mercy for ourselves;
- everything is in Allah's hands. Now, in
- the final verses of Surah Al-Jumu'ah,
- as we explained yesterday, the
- companions of the Prophet usually
- prayed in their own tribes. There were
- many musallas around Medina; there were
- many prayer spaces at that time.
- Especially since so many buildings were
- torn down, we can see these prayer
- spaces with our own eyes. But when
- Friday came, they all gathered together
- to listen to the advice delivered by
- the Prophet. Continued by the Prophet's
- companions after he passed away, giving
- them warnings to always walk on the
- path of piety. Reminding them all with
- Allah's messages in Surah Al-Jumu'ah
- and Surah Al-Munafiqun, which were
- always recited by our Prophet Muhammad,
- peace be upon him, during Friday
- prayers. So, what the Prophet usually
- recited in the Friday prayer was Surah
- Al-Jumu'ah in the first rak'ah, and
- Surah Al-Munafiqun in the second rak'ah
- . We have heard the verses of Allah in
- Surah Al-Jumu'ah which invite people to
- reflect on His signs, remember Allah's
- blessings, urge us to gather with the
- Messenger and his caravan through the
- Quran and follow his guidance, and warn
- us not to be like donkeys carrying
- heavy loads of books but gaining no
- benefit from them. Then it reminds us
- not to be arrogant. After that, Allah
- Subhanahu wa ta'ala continues with a
- direct call proclaimed by Allah. O you
- who have believed, when [the adhan] is
- called for the prayer on the day of
- Jumu'ah, then proceed to the
- remembrance of Allah. O you who believe
- , when you are called, invited to
- gather to establish the Friday prayer.
- Then proceed to the remembrance of
- Allah. Strive earnestly to remember
- Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Whether at
- home before you leave, or by rushing to
- the mosque to recite the verses of
- Allah, remember Him, repent, and seek
- forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala. And leave trade. And leave
- behind all your busy trading activities
- . Then, the time you spend before the
- Friday prayer in dhikr, seeking
- forgiveness, and reading the verses of
- Allah, Allah will replace it, and it
- will not be in vain. Inkum khairulakum
- in kuntum ta'lamun. That is better for
- you if you only knew. Then, after that,
- Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala gives us a
- truly beautiful promise. Fa idza
- qudhiyati sholatu fantashiru fil ardhi
- wabtaghu min fadlillahi wadzqurullaha
- katsiran la'allakum tuflihun. When the
- prayer is finished, disperse throughout
- the earth and seek the bounty of Allah
- Subhanahu wa ta'ala. And seek from the
- bounty of Allah. Then, your efforts
- should always be accompanied by dhikr
- and remembrance of Him. Wadzqurullaha
- katsiran. Frequently perform dhikr of
- Allah. So that you may be classified
- among those who are successful, both in
- their worldly trade and their afterlife
- trade. Therefore, the righteous people
- of the past, before Friday, would
- occupy themselves with the remembrance
- of Allah. Once Friday prayer was
- finished, they would go around seeking
- a living and trading in the way of
- Allah, and through dhikr, Allah granted
- them abundant sustenance that never
- failed. Then, after that, Allah
- Subhanahu wa ta'ala reminds us of an
- event that happened during the time of
- our Prophet Muhammad's companions, may
- Allah bless him and his family, when
- they had not yet fully understood the
- wisdom behind the Friday prayer. Where,
- when the Prophet was delivering his
- sermon, suddenly music was heard
- accompanying a caravan arriving from
- Sham carrying merchandise. The
- companions, when they heard the sound
- —and at that time, when Friday prayer
- was first established—they would
- perform the prayer. They would perform
- the prayer first, and then the sermon
- would follow. So, as they finished
- their prayer, the Prophet was
- delivering his sermon. Suddenly, they
- scattered to welcome the caravan from
- Sham, leaving the Prophet with only a
- few companions who stayed to listen to
- his lecture. Then Allah reminds us in
- the following verse: Wa idza ra'au
- tijaratan aw lahwan infaddhu ilaiha wa
- tarakuka qaima. And when they see some
- trade or some amusement, they scatter
- towards it and leave you standing. Wa
- tarakuka qaiman, qul ma 'indallahi
- khair. Minallahwi wa minat-tijarah. Say
- , what is with Allah is better than any
- vain amusement or trade. And Allah is
- the best of providers. This verse
- reminds us all that when the time for
- prayer arrives, when the call and
- summons of Allah come, leave our
- busyness behind. We welcome and fulfill
- the call of Allah. Once we have
- finished our prayer, our obligation,
- only then do we carry out other tasks.
- Now, this Friday prayer, ladies and
- gentlemen, is a very important prayer
- that gathers the community, unites them
- , and specifically in the Friday sermon
- , the khateeb—as ordained by our
- Prophet—invites the community to
- return to piety. Not limited only to
- our ritual worship, but in our
- household life, our social life, our
- business life, and in all aspects of
- life, we must always keep Allah in mind
- regarding His commands and prohibitions
- so that the mercy of Allah descends
- upon us all. Therefore, the sermon is
- not meant to be too long. Then the
- companions listened to the recitation
- of verses that always reminded them of
- Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Considering
- the importance of what was recited by
- the Prophet during Friday prayer. In
- the first rak'ah, it was Surah
- Al-Jumu'ah. In the second rak'ah, it
- was Surah Al-Munafiqun. God willing, in
- the next study, we will reflect
- together on Surah Al-Munafiqun, which
- warns us of the danger of hypocrites
- who display faith, hide disbelief, and
- always strive to cause unrest among the
- community, provide false testimonies,
- and incite division so they can sleep
- soundly without being disturbed or
- heeding the warnings of Allah Subhanahu
- wa ta'ala. So, brothers and sisters who
- are blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala, let us not only read the Quran
- but also absorb and reflect on its
- verses. This is what will build our
- lives, restore our glory, and we should
- not waste our time on fiqh and
- arguments within it. Leave fiqh to the
- experts. And scholars who teach fiqh,
- when it comes to fiqh, should not
- instill or poison those learning with
- fanaticism that makes them blinded. But
- explain that if this opinion could be
- right or wrong, let us always pray for
- ourselves and our brothers so that
- their deeds are accepted. Sometimes an
- ordinary person performs a deed
- imperfectly. But because of their
- sincerity and humility, Allah accepts
- it. But a scholar, because of their
- arrogance, may have their deeds
- rejected by Allah. Therefore, be wary
- of arrogance, which will forbid a
- person from smelling the scent of
- paradise. So let us together look more
- at ourselves, pay attention to our
- shortcomings, and pray for our brothers
- while enjoining good and forbidding
- evil in a way full of wisdom.
- Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik, ashadu
- alla ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa
- atubu ilaik, wa afu minkum.
- Wassalamualaikum warahmatullah
- wabarakatuh.
- Waalaikumsalam.
