And straight away, Mr. 3:21 Safril, perhaps you could share your 3:23 opening remarks 3:24 for this Q&A dialogue session. Please, 3:26 go ahead, sir. 3:26 Very well. Peace be upon you, and the 3:28 mercy and blessings of Allah. 3:29 And peace be upon you, and the mercy 3:29 and blessings of Allah. 3:30 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 3:31 , the Most Merciful. All praise is due 3:32 to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May peace 3:34 and blessings be upon the most noble of 3:36 messengers, and upon his family, 3:37 companions, and all his followers. Dear 3:40 listeners and viewers of Rasil TV and 3:43 Radio Silaturahim. Today, before our 3:47 teachers, we want to discuss the issues 3:50 our nation is currently facing. In the 3:55 last few days, the Indonesian nation 3:58 has shown growing signs of concern. 4:01 University students are voicing fears 4:03 of a "dark Indonesia." Then there are 4:07 economic issues, problems with family 4:11 behavior, and the weakness of our 4:16 proselytizing, 4:18 as it seems not to be reaching the 4:20 heart of society. Because the behavior 4:24 of the public is quite concerning in 4:27 terms of conduct, and in aspects 4:29 related to how Islam should truly 4:32 appear as a soothing presence in our 4:34 lives. Facing conditions like we have 4:38 now, which seem almost hopeless, how 4:40 should we as the Ummah behave? Because 4:44 it is very important for the Muslim 4:46 community, as the majority in this 4:49 country, to know how to act so as not 4:51 to lose hope in Allah's mercy. More or 4:54 less, that is the opening, Ustaz. 4:56 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 4:57 , the Most Merciful. All praise is due 4:59 to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Abundant, 5:04 good, and blessed praise as our Lord 5:07 loves. And all praise is due to Allah 5:13 who guided us to faith and Islam, and 5:15 made us from the Ummah of our Prophet 5:17 Muhammad, who was sent as a mercy to 5:20 the worlds. May the blessings of my 5:25 Lord and His peace be upon him, his 5:27 noble family, his righteous companions, 5:29 and all the righteous servants of Allah 5:32 . Peace be upon you, O Messenger of 5:35 Allah, peace be upon us and upon the 5:36 righteous servants of Allah, and peace 5:38 be upon you. and all of you. Yes, 5:56 responding to what was discussed by Mr. 6:02 Syafi Lubis regarding the unrest and 6:05 anxiety of our nation in all walks of 6:09 life, in all walks of life. It is not 6:14 only the people below; those at the top 6:17 are also currently experiencing unrest, 6:21 anxiety, and even needs. They do not 6:26 know where they should start in 6:28 improving our nation or this country. 6:33 They receive various suggestions and 6:37 concepts. But unfortunately, it is 6:39 truly a shame, Mr. Syafril, that they 6:41 leave Allah behind. In the end, all the 6:46 proposals, inputs, as well as the 6:49 concepts proposed to be solutions, turn 6:53 out to be like antibiotic medicine that 6:57 has become resistant. 7:00 Which has 7:01 become resistant 7:02 resistant instead of healing, it brings 7:07 various kinds of problems and numerous 7:10 side effects. How will they be able to 7:14 solve the problems of this nation? How 7:17 will they provide the right solutions 7:20 to make our nation calm, peaceful, 7:22 alive, and prosperous? If they ignore 7:27 Allah the Creator, they ignore Allah 7:30 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, the Most Gracious 7:34 and Most Merciful God, they do not 7:37 follow at all the guidance and 7:39 instructions of Allah Subhanahu wa 7:42 ta'ala in solving all our life problems 7:45 . Just as they leave Allah, Allah also 7:50 leaves them. 7:53 Like the word of Allah in Surah 7:54 Al-Hashr. And do not be like those who 7:58 forgot Allah, so He made them forget 8:00 themselves. Do not be among those who 8:03 forget Allah. Eventually, Allah makes 8:05 them forget themselves. When a person 8:08 forgets themselves, Mr. Syafril, even 8:10 if the glasses are on their head, 8:12 they do not, they already don't— 8:14 or the bag is in their hand, they look 8:15 here and there for their glasses and 8:17 bag. 8:19 Likewise, our country is not a poor 8:21 country; it is a very wealthy country. 8:25 Smart people in our country are also 8:26 extraordinary. We even export them 8:29 abroad. In fact, outside, we see many 8:32 of our experts who cannot find decent 8:34 work for themselves. What do they do? 8:37 They work abroad. 8:39 But unfortunately, what is the state of 8:42 their hearts? In a fragile state. Let 8:47 alone solving the problems of our 8:49 nation and country. What about their 8:52 own problems? They are unable to solve 8:54 them. They want to heal others, yet 8:58 they are in the sickest condition. 9:01 The sickest. They lose their sense of 9:04 taste, to the point where even sweet 9:06 food they eat tastes bitter. So the 9:11 main cause is because we forget Allah. 9:14 They forgot Allah, so He made them 9:15 forget themselves. They forgot Allah. 9:18 In the end, Allah also forgot them. 9:21 Perhaps we all remember Allah's word 9:24 when He brought our grandparents down. 9:27 Faimma yatiannakum minni huda. When My 9:31 guidance reaches you Whoever follows My 9:38 guidance shall neither go astray nor be 9:42 miserable. Why? Allah is the one who 9:47 guides. Allah is also the one who opens 9:50 the door of mercy. Waman a'rada 'an 9:55 dzikri fa inna lahu ma'ishatan dhanka. 9:58 But whoever turns away from My 10:01 remembrance, forgetting Me in this life 10:03 , I will let him live in a dark and 10:06 suffocating existence. So if Indonesia 10:09 now feels dark and suffocating, it is a 10:12 punishment for them because they forgot 10:14 Allah. Allah says in Surah Fussilat, " 10:21 Those who believe, their hearts find 10:24 peace in the remembrance of Allah; 10:26 indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do 10:29 hearts find rest." Once the heart 10:33 remembers Allah, it will be at peace. 10:36 The heart will truly be what? It will 10:40 be in a truly beautiful state. Because 10:43 why? How could one not feel safe and 10:45 peaceful while Allah is sheltering them 10:47 ? Allah is the one pouring His mercy 10:49 upon them. Allah is the one showing the 10:51 way. Allah is the one opening the doors 10:52 of blessing from heaven and earth. Ala 10:56 bidikrillahi tatmainnul qulub. Know 10:59 that the only way to find peace for our 11:02 hearts is by remembering Allah. We 11:06 involve Allah in all our movements. Our 11:12 hopes also truly depend on Allah. When 11:17 we are restless, seeking protection, we 11:19 return to Allah. At that moment, Mr. 11:22 Syafril and Kang Rizal, Allah mentions 11:24 in Surah Fussilat. Innalladzina qalu 11:27 rabbunallahu tsummas-taqamu, tanazzalu' 11:31 alaihimul malaikatu alla takhafu wa la 11:34 tahzanu. Indeed, those who say "Our 11:37 Lord is Allah"—not just in words, but 11:40 truly anchoring their lives to Allah 11:42 and following His guidance. Then they 11:46 also remain steadfast. The angels 11:51 descend in droves, one after another. 11:54 The angels do not descend in vain. The 11:57 angels are deployed by Allah to guard 12:00 that servant, protect them, and also 12:02 what? To facilitate their affairs by 12:05 Allah's permission. Wa absyiru bil 12:08 jannatillati kuntum tu'adun. And 12:10 welcome the news with full joy and 12:13 happiness of the Paradise that Allah 12:15 has promised. Then Allah Subhanahu wa 12:19 ta'ala comforts them by saying, "Nahnu 12:21 auliyaukum fil hayatid dunya wafil 12:23 akhirah." We are your protectors in the 12:26 life of this world and in the Hereafter 12:28 . So Allah deploys His angels to 12:31 protect that servant. If anyone dares 12:34 to disturb or fight them, Allah will 12:35 fight that person. Man 'ada li waliyan 12:38 faqad adzantu bil harbi. In the Hadith 12:41 Qudsi, "Whoever disturbs My saint, the 12:43 person who makes Me their guardian, I 12:45 declare war against that person." We 12:50 witness examples from the lives of the 12:52 prophets of old who were patient in 12:55 conveying Allah's message and being 12:57 pious, up to our Prophet Muhammad, 12:59 peace be upon him. Is it not enough of 13:03 a lesson for us how Allah helps His 13:05 believing servants? Our country 13:08 compared to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia 13:11 is unable to grow rice. Producing rice 13:15 is impossible. A dry and barren country 13:18 , right? As for our natural wealth, it 13:22 goes without saying, from mining 13:24 products like nickel, gold, 13:29 coal, and tin. 13:34 Then our agricultural sector produces 13:37 all sorts of various crops. If we were 13:40 serious about developing our 13:42 agriculture, Thailand would be nothing 13:44 compared to us. We 13:45 don't need to import apples from abroad 13:47 ; we can produce our own. No need to 13:50 import grapes from abroad; we can 13:52 produce sweet grapes just like theirs. 13:56 We can produce a wide variety. But what 13:59 is the pity? We are not serious. 14:01 Australia used to buy bananas from 14:03 Indonesia, but eventually, our people 14:05 sold the banana trees to Australia. 14:08 Eventually, they could produce better 14:09 bananas. What did Indonesians used to 14:12 send? Persimmons to Australia. 14:15 Australia bought the trees, planted 14:16 them there, and produced even better 14:18 persimmons. Even though they don't have 14:21 rivers like ours there. 14:23 Just look at how many rivers we have in 14:25 Java alone. Just look at the island of 14:27 Java. Australia is mostly desert, but 14:31 because of wicked hands and betrayal, 14:35 the blessing and mercy have been 14:39 withdrawn from us. And this cannot be 14:43 separated from the Indonesian people. 14:45 The leaders who lead our country didn't 14:47 rise on their own; who raised them up? 14:50 The people. So, the people also bear 14:54 the consequences of their choices. They 14:57 will bear the consequences of every 15:00 action they take. They forget God, they 15:03 do not enjoin good or forbid evil. They 15:06 even belittle the religion of Allah 15:08 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Religion has 15:11 become a game, a farce, humor, and even 15:13 lewd talk that has no place in 15:15 religious discourse. Then the clerics 15:19 and scholars, instead of awakening the 15:21 community, turn preaching into a venue 15:24 for humor, similar to 15:26 their opponents. How will Allah 15:28 intervene to help a people who turn 15:31 Allah's religion into a game? Then what 15:36 about the faithful Muslims who are 15:38 devout? They are not afraid to face any 15:41 situation. So even if Indonesia becomes 15:45 dark for those who forget God, those 15:48 who are faithful and rely on God, who 15:50 always remember Him, will say that even 15:53 if the sky falls, Allah has the power 15:55 to protect them. Therefore, whoever 15:59 wants to be safe in the current 16:01 situation, to always be under Allah's 16:04 protection, to always feel secure and 16:07 under the shade of His mercy, return to 16:09 Allah. Take refuge in Him, follow His 16:13 guidance. Do not assume that because 16:16 society is drowning in injustice, that 16:18 if we join them, we will not be 16:20 punished; that is wrong. In a narration 16:24 , it is reported from our Prophet: "La 16:27 takunu immaah." Do not be followers ( 16:30 blindly). What is "immaah"? 16:33 Meeting anyone and saying, "I am with 16:35 you."" 16:38 La takunu imma in ahsanas ahsantum." If 16:41 people are good, you follow and be good 16:42 . "Wa in asau asantum." If people do 16:45 evil, you follow and do evil. "Walakin 16:48 wattinu anfusakum." Strengthen your 16:50 stance, your heart. "In ahsanas, 16:53 ahsantum." If people do good, you 16:56 should do even better. If they do evil, 17:01 you must not commit injustice. Always 17:05 follow God's guidance. And do not make 17:09 created things the anchors of our lives 17:13 . Abu Yazid al-Bustami, a knower of God 17:16 , said, "A creature seeking refuge in a 17:18 creature is like a drowning person 17:20 holding onto another drowning person." 17:25 When a creature seeks refuge in another 17:26 creature, relying on a creature, it’s 17:28 like we’re drowning and clinging to 17:29 someone else who is also drowning. What 17:32 do you think happens? 17:34 We both drown together. 17:35 Even faster, right? 17:36 Yes. 17:37 Right? The heavier the weight, the 17:39 faster it sinks. Yes. So, if a creature 17:42 relies on a creature, it will only 17:44 cause them to sink faster. Why don't we 17:47 lean on Allah instead? Allah is always 17:50 with us; He never leaves us. Allah 17:53 opens a direct line of communication 17:55 without any intermediaries. Day or 17:58 night, if we call upon Allah, Allah 18:00 Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is never far from 18:02 us. But if Allah doesn't respond, it's 18:06 because when we are safe and at ease, 18:08 we forget Allah. Only when we are in 18:10 distress do we call upon Allah. Imagine 18:12 if, during times of joy, safety, and 18:14 prosperity, we remembered Allah; then 18:17 when we are in distress, Allah would 18:19 come to our aid immediately. "So 18:21 remember Me, I will remember you. And 18:23 be grateful to Me and do not deny Me." 18:25 Remember Me when you are happy, when 18:27 you are at ease, and even when you are 18:30 in distress, remember Allah, and I will 18:32 always remember you. And be grateful 18:35 for My blessings; do not be ungrateful. 18:38 Therefore, the solution, Mr. Syafi, the 18:43 path to our salvation in this world and 18:45 the hereafter is by returning to Allah, 18:47 seeking shelter under the One who is 18:49 Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all 18:51 existence. Others sleep, others rest, 18:55 others get tired; if we knock on their 18:57 doors in the middle of the night, they 19:00 might get angry at us, but Allah... 19:03 He is actually waiting for us, Ustaz. 19:04 We wake up in the middle of the night, 19:07 we want to call upon Allah, then we 19:09 lament before Him. Our hearts are 19:12 filled with a sense of security, 19:13 feeling that in that moment, Allah has 19:15 provided a way for us. So, hopefully, 19:19 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala makes us 19:22 people who always return to Him, and 19:25 may Allah protect us from falling into 19:28 the deeds of the devil that turn us 19:31 away from Allah, throughout our lives, 19:34 when we die, and when we are 19:36 resurrected in the hereafter. 19:40 Thank you, Ustaz. Ustaz Hamzah, perhaps 19:43 you could add something regarding the 19:45 anxiety and the public's response to 19:47 these government policy issues. 19:50 Even though, Ustaz, Allah has promised 19:53 in Surah Al-A'raf verse 96 that if a 19:55 nation has faith, He will surely send 19:57 down blessings. Does this mean we are 20:00 far from faith now, Ustaz? 20:05 So, the restlessness, the anxiety, and 20:08 the suffering we see being experienced 20:11 by many people now, there must be a 20:13 cause, right? 20:15 Yes. 20:15 There must be a cause. So there is also 20:19 a hashtag going around, "Let's just run 20:22 away for now." 20:24 Yes. 20:24 Is that a solution? Why not look for 20:27 the cause and see how we must fight? 20:30 Should we just give up like that? If 20:33 everything in Indonesia ends up being 20:34 controlled by foreigners, then what 20:36 happens to Indonesia? But why do we 20:39 understand why there is a hashtag like 20:42 that? There must be a reason. 20:46 For instance, there are many smart 20:49 people. There are many smart people in 20:53 Indonesia, but they aren't appreciated 20:54 here. Thinkers, inventors, and the like 21:00 . Abroad they are valued, but here they 21:02 aren't; they are even hindered. Yes, 21:05 they are hindered because of certain 21:07 interests. 21:08 Interests. If, for example, a highly 21:12 efficient fuel source appeared, then 21:15 the exports would...... 21:17 those who usually get commissions 21:19 wouldn't get them anymore. 21:20 So, what is all this? There is a reason 21:23 for it, after all. We must fight 21:26 against that cause; we must not lose 21:30 hope. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala reminds 21:34 us, quoting the words of Prophet Yaqub 21:37 when he lost his son. "O my sons, go 21:41 and find out about Yusuf.""Do not 21:47 despair of the mercy of Allah.""O my 21:53 sons, go and seek news of Prophet Yusuf 21:56 after he has been missing for so long." 22:00 And to his brothers, "Do not despair of 22:04 the mercy of Allah.""Indeed, no one 22:07 despairs of the mercy of Allah except 22:09 the disbelieving people." So we must 22:14 keep fighting and learn from the 22:18 reasons why this is happening. Part of 22:25 it is due to leaders or representatives 22:29 who aren't upright, because Indonesia 22:33 is, as they say, a very rich country. 22:38 Hmm. But if the blessings of Allah 22:40 Subhanahu wa ta'ala......are not 22:46 managed or taken care of properly, 22:55 Allah says...That is how it is. Indeed, 23:11 Allah will not "yughayyir.""Yughayyir" 23:13 means to change something good into 23:15 something ruined. 23:16 Hmm. 23:17 So, Allah will not ruin or change the 23:21 blessings bestowed upon a people unless 23:25 those people ruin it themselves. Allah 23:30 has created Indonesia to be so 23:32 prosperous and fertile. There used to 23:35 be a song that said even a wooden stick 23:38 could become a plant. 23:40 How beautiful it was, and how we could 23:45 easily... 23:48 It illustrated how easy things were. 23:50 But why are the people struggling now? 23:53 It is nothing but the behavior of the 23:55 people themselves who cause the ruin. 23:57 Allah has provided such abundant, 24:02 overflowing blessings. But if we don't 24:07 take care of them...... 24:10 if we flee, for instance, everything 24:12 will eventually be lost. So... 24:16 We must remain strong, we must keep 24:19 fighting, and we must fix what is 24:21 broken. And how do we do that? By 24:25 returning to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 24:28 Follow Allah's guidance. Does Allah not 24:31 know about all these events? Everything 24:33 has already been written in the Quran. 24:36 There are ways, and there are solutions 24:39 . Oh Allah, no, there is nothing 24:42 forgotten in this Qur'an. What does 24:46 Allah say? Ma faratna fil kitabi min 24:49 shay'. There is nothing that We have 24:52 neglected in the Qur'an. This is Allah 24:54 speaking. Because Allah is All-Knowing 24:56 of what will happen. Why this happens, 24:58 the consequences, and the causes behind 25:00 it. Everything has been mentioned by 25:03 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala in the Qur'an 25:06 . But many of us Indonesians, who are 25:10 majority Muslim, have abandoned the 25:14 Qur'an. Even though this is a guide, a 25:18 guide that will be the way out of all 25:22 our problems and difficulties. A guide 25:26 for happiness, not only in the world 25:28 but also in the hereafter. Not just in 25:31 the hereafter. Usually, issues of faith 25:33 are considered matters of the hereafter 25:35 . No. Issues of faith, Allah's guidance 25:38 in the Qur'an, are not just for our 25:40 happiness in the hereafter, but also 25:43 for our happiness, our prosperity, our 25:45 well-being, our peace, and our security 25:48 in this world, let alone the hereafter. 25:51 Wallahu'alam. 25:52 Very well, 25:54 let us continue. Are there any 25:56 additions from Mr. Sabil? Please. 25:58 Ustaz, among the public's concerns is 26:01 how close we are to poverty. And the 26:04 public sees this poverty not just as 26:07 the people's poverty, but as state 26:10 poverty, leading to various kinds of 26:13 budget cuts. 26:14 So the state itself is impoverished. 26:17 But of course, we cannot get swept away 26:19 by such feelings, Ustaz. Because if we 26:22 take the example of Vietnam, Ustaz, 26:24 just from their durian exports, 26:27 it reached 53 trillion, equivalent to 26:31 1.5%of our state budget. Just from 26:34 exporting their durians. The question 26:36 is, that is not even a Muslim country 26:39 that should be a role model. For 26:41 example, right? Yet they are capable of 26:43 being productive. Of course, we also 26:45 need guidance on how we, the Indonesian 26:48 people, can be more productive. Even 26:51 while at the same time, this country is 26:53 in a difficult situation. So, perhaps 26:57 some enlightenment on this is needed, 26:59 Ustaz. 27:00 Yes. 27:02 Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Rabbana zidna 27:04 ilman warzuqna fahma. A person's hard 27:08 work and efforts are blessed. That is 27:15 as explained by Allah, blessings and 27:19 abundance come through piety to Allah. 27:23 In Surah At-Talaq as an example, waman 27:25 yattaqillaha yaj'allahu makhraja. 27:28 Whoever is pious to Allah, he guards 27:30 himself, and Allah will provide a way 27:33 out for him. Warzuqhu min haithu 27:36 la yahtasib. Allah will provide him 27:38 sustenance from unexpected sources. But 27:41 the moment he turns away from Allah 27:43 Subhanahu wa ta'ala, even if there are 27:46 all kinds of facilities before him. 27:51 That person, amidst wealth, security, 27:55 and various protections, remains 27:58 fearful and anxious. The power to 28:02 strike him. Without being able to be 28:05 stopped by Patriot missiles or 28:07 sophisticated defense systems. There is 28:10 no one capable of holding it back. 28:13 Therefore, in Surah Al-Imran, Allah 28:17 says, "Sanulqi fi qulubilladina kafaru 28:22 ru'b..." In Surah Al-Imran what will We 28:28 send down? Fear. The word 'ru' is more 28:31 terrifying than the word 'khauf'. There 28:33 is 'khauf', 28:34 and there is 'ru'; 'ru' is even more 28:36 terrifying. What is the word 'ru'b' 28:40 actually? A thing that is truly 28:43 terrifying and frightening. We will 28:46 cast into the hearts of the 28:49 disbelievers terror, as if facing a 28:53 horrifying specter. Bima asraku billah. 28:57 Because they associate partners with 28:58 Allah. Now, among Allah's help for His 29:03 prophet and the Muslims is the army of 29:06 fear that He sends. Can it be stopped 29:10 by a defense system? 29:12 It cannot. Yes, 29:13 once Allah sends the terror into their 29:15 hearts, they see the small number of 29:17 Muslims as large. 29:18 H. 29:20 In their eyes, a weak force appears 29:22 extraordinarily strong. Like when 29:26 Russia once fought Afghanistan. 29:28 Afghanistan. When fighting the people 29:31 of Afghanistan, who were left behind in 29:34 terms of weaponry. Why did they see 29:38 them as if they were a great force? So, 29:45 this all happens because we never value 29:49 or respect Allah. Even though Allah 29:53 says, "Walau anna ahlal qura amanu 29:56 wattaqau lafatahna alaihim barakati." 30:00 If the people of the cities had 30:02 believed and feared Allah, We would 30:04 have opened for them blessings from the 30:07 heaven and the earth. Walakin kadzabu. 30:10 But they denied Allah. They insulted 30:14 Allah. They did not value Allah, their 30:17 Lord. Faaknahum bima kamu yaksibun. We 30:20 punished them with what? Just a small 30:22 portion of their deeds is what we 30:24 punished. If it were all of them, it 30:26 would mean destruction. 30:28 So, with just a little of their deeds, 30:30 they have already experienced truly 30:32 dark days. Imagine Indonesia, a fertile 30:37 country with many rivers, and our 30:40 agricultural labor that is also 30:43 reliable. How could we import rice from 30:47 abroad? Isn't it strange? 30:49 Yes. If exporting, or importing plastic 30:52 , or importing pins, let's say, 30:54 that still makes sense. 30:55 Nail clippers still make sense. 30:58 But importing rice, or 31:00 salt. 31:02 Is salt not strange? 31:03 Yes. 31:04 This is only for the profit of the 31:06 country's oligarchy; the people are 31:09 sacrificed. Can't the people see a 31:12 situation like this? So, if we look at 31:16 Indonesia, what is it really? Plunged 31:20 into a situation like this because they 31:23 wrong their own selves. 31:28 Allah does not wrong them, but they 31:30 wrong themselves. And do not just blame 31:32 the leaders above, because the leaders 31:36 above are a reflection of their society 31:38 . Kama takunu yualla alaikum. As you 31:41 are, so will your leaders be appointed 31:43 over you. Look, LGBT is allowed to run 31:46 rampant. Then crimes are also spreading 31:50 , mushrooming everywhere, like 31:53 robberies. People do not feel safe. 31:56 Right? 31:57 Yes. 31:57 People not only don't feel safe from 31:59 criminals, but in the end, they don't 32:01 even feel safe from the police. Yes. 32:05 From what? Security guards, protectors 32:08 of the people. They do not feel safe. 32:11 H. 32:12 Where should they complain? Finally, 32:14 they complain to Allah Subhanahu wa 32:16 ta'ala. Once they bring their affairs 32:18 to Allah, then Allah will not stay 32:20 silent toward the oppressors. So, all 32:25 of this is a result of us forgetting 32:29 Allah. If things continue this way, no 32:33 matter how many thinkers or think tanks 32:36 are gathered, 32:38 and then they propose all sorts of 32:39 solutions, the nation will not find a 32:41 way out. But the moment we return to 32:44 Allah, in an instant Allah Subhanahu wa 32:47 Ta'ala will open up many ways out of 32:49 the deadlock, turning difficulty into 32:52 ease. Likewise, the earth, which may be 32:55 reluctant to produce results useful for 32:58 society, will also yield great benefits 33:01 . Try to reflect on this, Mr. Syafi. 33:04 The fighters in Gaza are being fought 33:07 not just by Israel, besieged not only 33:12 by Israel, as even Arab countries are 33:14 besieging them, 33:16 blocking the entry of logistics to them 33:18 . America is involved, Britain is 33:22 involved, right? Great nations are 33:26 involved, and even Arab countries like 33:28 the United Arab Emirates are providing 33:31 logistics and even participating in 33:34 what? Carrying out airstrikes against 33:37 their own brothers in Gaza. If you look 33:40 at their condition based on 33:42 calculations on paper, they should have 33:44 been destroyed. 33:45 Yes. 33:46 Isn't that right? But once the 33:47 ceasefire happened, the Hamas fighters 33:50 emerged from the holes as if there had 33:52 never been, what? Any devastating 33:54 onslaught. 33:54 Any astonishing bombardment. Yemen is a 33:58 country far behind Indonesia. 34:01 Yemen is a poor, underdeveloped country 34:04 that has been facing plots from Saudi 34:07 Arabia and other Arab nations. Yet, 34:10 they are capable of what? Conducting 34:12 airstrikes on Israel. They are even 34:15 capable of what? Posing a threat to 34:17 American aircraft carriers. So that the 34:20 legend regarding the invincible 34:22 aircraft carrier 34:24 that cannot be attacked—its legend 34:26 was destroyed by whom? 34:27 Yemen. 34:28 By Yemen. A poor country. If it were a 34:30 big country, we wouldn't be surprised. 34:32 H 34:32 A poor country, and the American legend 34:34 was shattered. Two American aircraft 34:36 carriers were hit by missile attacks 34:38 from Yemen. They also sent their 34:41 ballistic missiles toward Israel. How 34:44 the Iron Dome possessed by Israel was 34:47 unable to stop them. Missiles produced 34:51 by Yemen cheaply. While Israel's 34:53 defense system was so overwhelmed that 34:55 they ended up screaming for Yemen to 34:57 stop the attacks. Trump threatened to 35:01 do what? To crush Yemen and Palestine. 35:04 It turned out Allah worked first, 35:06 sending a tornado carrying fire that 35:08 destroyed it all in just a week. They 35:11 said that if they wanted to rebuild it, 35:13 it would take approximately 50 years. 35:16 So, Mr. Syafi, Allah Subhanahu wa 35:18 Ta'ala is not closing His eyes, not 35:23 letting His servants be oppressed, but 35:26 Allah wants to see their level of 35:28 awareness. If they return to Allah, God 35:32 willing, Allah's help will come to them 35:35 . 35:35 Amen. God willing. Now, for individuals 35:38 and a society that is aware, their duty 35:41 is to enjoin good and forbid evil while 35:43 guarding themselves; God willing, even 35:46 if Indonesia were dark or burning, 35:50 Allah will help them. 35:53 Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has the power 35:56 to reach out and assist them. So I hear 35:59 many complaints here and there 36:01 regarding the economic situation, the 36:04 difficulty of finding work, and 36:06 obtaining daily necessities. I say 36:11 return to Allah. Seek forgiveness often 36:16 , and then let us guard ourselves. 36:19 Besides enjoining good and forbidding 36:21 evil, inviting our brothers through 36:23 these small efforts, God willing, can 36:25 create a solution. If not, what I fear 36:29 is that Allah's punishment will descend 36:31 . And when it descends, it is not only 36:33 the oppressors who will be affected, 36:35 everyone will be affected. 36:37 But those who sit idly by, indifferent, 36:39 and do not enjoin good or forbid evil, 36:41 they too will be hit by Allah Subhanahu 36:43 wa ta'ala's punishment. Only Allah 36:46 knows best. Alright, let us read. 36:49 These two questions respond to our 36:51 discussion on this occasion. The 36:52 questioner did not mention their names, 36:54 neither of them. 36:55 Uh, what is happening now in Indonesia, 36:58 Ustaz, we blame the political elites 37:00 and the political system. We have no 37:03 good leadership choices. Those choices 37:06 are also provided by the political 37:08 elite. They say Indonesia's wealth is 37:10 being fought over by these elites. 37:12 Corruptors are running rampant. I will 37:15 connect this with one more, Ustaz. How 37:18 do we admonish these oppressive leaders 37:20 ? Can the scholars unite and voice an 37:24 action? Two questions. Please, maybe 37:28 Ustaz Hamzah can respond first. Please, 37:30 go ahead, Ustaz. 37:31 Yes. Yes. Like I said before, uh, a 37:36 leader occupies their position, who 37:39 chooses them? The voters, right? 37:42 Yes. We are the ones who choose too. 37:45 Therefore, political education is 37:47 important. We must understand to whom 37:52 we entrust our votes. It is only a 37:55 moment when choosing, just a few 37:57 minutes, 37:58 but the impact lasts at least five 38:02 years. If now it could even be ten 38:06 years, the impact continues for many 38:07 years like that. Now, this, uh, means, 38:12 as I said earlier, it is not just their 38:15 fault, the initial mistake also lies 38:19 with us. But every mistake, if people 38:24 want to realize it and then fix it, God 38:27 willing, Allah will help. Allah. One of 38:33 the characteristics of the pious, it is 38:36 unique, what is described about the 38:39 pious? Oh, when someone becomes pious, 38:43 are they like an angel? 38:44 Hmm. 38:45 A pious person can still make mistakes. 38:49 But the difference between those who 38:51 are pious and those who are not. And 38:53 those who, when they commit an 38:54 immorality, or wrong themselves, they 38:58 remember Allah and seek forgiveness for 39:00 their sins, and who can forgive sins 39:02 except Allah? And they do not persist 39:04 in what they have done while they know. 39:06 Allah mentions this in Surah Al-Imran 39:10 as a trait of the pious. So, if they 39:15 commit an immoral act, a shameful deed, 39:19 or wrong themselves, meaning they 39:23 commit a mistake, a sin, or a crime, 39:27 they realize it and always remember 39:32 Allah. Then they repent, asking for 39:34 forgiveness, from Allah, and improve 39:37 themselves. Then, surely Allah 39:40 Subhanahu wa ta'ala will definitely 39:42 help them. So, we must remain aware. Do 39:49 not let us forget our mistakes. "Oh, 39:51 it's fine, it's fine." Eventually, it 39:53 piles up. And in the end, a disaster 39:56 will descend and befall us. We must be 39:59 aware, we must rise, we must. Ask for 40:05 forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa 40:08 ta'ala for our mistakes, and we must 40:11 improve everything in various aspects, 40:14 of course, and every individual, from 40:18 the people to the leaders, must improve 40:21 themselves and obey Allah. If not, then 40:25 Allah's punishment will befall this 40:27 nation. Wallahu'alam (Allah knows best) 40:28 . Dusun might add that what was said 40:32 earlier is indeed correct. If a tyranny 40:39 is left without any warning 40:46 or resistance at all, then by the laws 40:48 of Allah (sunatullah), that tyranny 40:50 will spread; what is happening in our 40:52 country is not something new but an 40:54 accumulation of what? 40:58 From various kinds of mistakes and 41:00 tyrannies that have been going on for 41:03 quite a long time. And we know that our 41:09 people rarely receive education 41:11 regarding healthy politics as Allah 41:17 Subhanahu wa ta'ala teaches in His holy 41:19 book. So, politics from the perspective 41:24 of the Qur'an is where Allah Subhanahu 41:27 wa ta'ala as the Creator is also the 41:30 only one who has the right to set the 41:32 rules and sharia in this life. We are 41:38 commanded to obey Allah, obey His 41:40 Messenger, and obey the ulil amri ( 41:42 leaders) who obey Allah and His 41:43 Messenger. 41:46 Not every ruler is an ulil amri. Only 41:51 those who manage our affairs while 41:52 obeying Allah and His Messenger. When 41:54 they deviate, we must not let it be. If 41:57 that deviation drags on, it eventually 41:59 becomes the truth. Hmm. 42:01 O you who have believed, obey Allah 42:05 and the Messenger and those in 42:06 authority. 42:08 O you who believe, obey Allah. We see 42:10 the verb is repeated, Mr. Syafril. " 42:14 Obey the Messenger" and "obey those in 42:16 authority" without repeating the verb. 42:19 Because why? Their authority is not 42:21 independent. But our obedience to them 42:24 depends on their obedience to Allah and 42:27 His Messenger. 42:28 If it comes from Allah and the 42:29 Messenger, we cannot possibly reject it 42:31 . Hmm. 42:32 What comes from Allah, from His 42:33 Messenger, we hear 42:34 and we obey. 42:35 If it comes from others besides Allah, 42:37 if it is right we follow and support it 42:39 , but if it is wrong, we must warn them 42:40 . We must not let it drag on. 42:45 This is a command from Allah. Now, 42:47 scholars should provide education to 42:49 the community about what is Siyasah 42:54 Syar'iyah (Islamic politics) in Islam. 42:58 Instead of scholars being involved in 43:02 activities 43:02 involved, yes 43:05 in keeping the public ignorant by 43:07 collaborating with the rulers and the 43:09 oligarchy. Yes. 43:11 Now, what we see at this moment is that 43:13 most of our scholars are collaborating 43:16 because they see this as a path that 43:18 will lead them to quick success in 43:20 achieving worldly gain. They can buy 43:25 Hummer vehicles, they can buy vehicles, 43:27 and what rented houses, yes 43:33 they can also enjoy various facilities 43:35 and share in the pleasures, which are 43:38 actually not pleasures but 'istidraj'(a 43:40 lure), together with the oligarchs and 43:42 the rulers. They assume Allah will keep 43:46 silent about them. Whereas their sins 43:49 will continue to pile up in accordance 43:51 with the corruption they allow. 43:56 We are a majority Muslim nation, but it 44:01 turns out that the political system we 44:04 follow is far from justice. What exists 44:08 instead is what? Supporting, justifying 44:10 , and legitimizing tyranny. For example 44:14 , let's not look too far. We know that 44:17 the election of leaders is through 44:19 parties. 44:20 Hmm. 44:20 Isn't that right? 44:21 Yes. 44:23 Then parties that reach, let's say, 44:26 votes that meet the requirements, 44:29 either on their own or through what? Co 44:33 - 44:34 coalitions. 44:35 Coali-They are the ones who determine 44:38 who is nominated. But if someone wants 44:41 to nominate themselves or the people 44:43 want to nominate someone, outside of 44:45 this circle, is it possible? 44:46 No. 44:46 It is not possible. 44:48 Then we know that the Indonesian people 44:51 are laypeople. The scholars are not 44:54 carrying out their duty to perform 44:56 tabligh. Inviting them all to return to 44:59 Allah. If scholars invite them back to 45:01 Allah, they say, what do we get? We get 45:03 nothing. Hm. 45:06 But if they provide, let's say, 45:08 motivation for the people to support a 45:10 certain party or a certain elite, there 45:12 will be a share for them. There will be 45:16 a reward that they will receive. Now, 45:19 most of what we encounter today, 45:21 scholars no longer carry out commanding 45:24 good and forbidding evil according to 45:26 Allah's guidance. They collaborate with 45:29 political elites, with oligarchs. We 45:32 even witness how political elites come 45:34 to scholars in villages, and when given 45:37 money, their hands are kissed, even if 45:39 that person is a non-Muslim. 45:43 Imagine how low the morals of our 45:45 scholars have become. Because they 45:47 chase the world, what they worship is 45:49 objects, not Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 45:52 As a result, Allah drops their dignity 45:55 lower than objects. Even though Allah 45:57 created them as caliphs. Allah elevated 46:00 them with knowledge, but it turns out 46:02 they sell knowledge and Allah's verses 46:04 for a cheap price. 46:07 Now, this is the greatest mistake, and 46:09 naturally, three groups bear the burden 46:11 . The first are the scholars, the 46:16 second the rulers, and the third the 46:19 oligarchs. Because these three groups 46:23 truly have the ability to influence 46:25 society. If the scholars say, even if 46:30 they have no money, have no money, 46:32 have no power, but they work together, 46:34 everyone walking on Allah's path, the 46:36 people will surely know what is wrong 46:38 and what is right. 46:40 But if the scholars have collaborated 46:42 with power, with oligarchs, the poor 46:45 people are being fooled. They listen to 46:48 religious presentations filled with 46:50 humor, with pornographic content, which 46:53 are not at all taken from Allah's 46:55 verses, but all return to their own 46:58 interests. When, um, what is it called? 47:02 Oligarchs fence off parts of our ocean, 47:05 some of these paid clerics and scholars 47:07 say what? Letting land that has no use 47:12 whatsoever go to waste is a wrong act. 47:15 Yes, why? If they were to utilize it, 47:18 they don't think about their country, 47:20 their homeland, their honor, and the 47:23 threat at what time? What is that long 47:27 coastline used for? It is their 47:30 playground and investment field. They 47:33 can smuggle, 47:36 smuggle weapons, and even bring in 47:38 troops to become a threat in the future 47:40 , just like they did before. Now, why 47:45 can Yemen say no to America, say no to 47:49 England? They are the ones conducting 47:51 negotiations; Yemen refuses. 47:53 As for Saudi Arabia, the Arab Emirates, 47:56 Egypt, they were indeed founded by them 47:58 . 47:59 It is the Zionists who established 48:01 those nations. To this day, their 48:03 loyalty is only to themselves. Now, we 48:07 want Indonesia to be an independent, 48:09 honorable nation, led by people who 48:11 truly fear Allah. I recently heard 48:16 President Prabowo say that he will 48:19 firmly seize assets that were stolen by 48:23 corruptors. If they return them 48:27 voluntarily, the state will not punish 48:29 them. Eh, what did some politicians say 48:32 ? That it is not justified at all. Even 48:34 though the Quran categorizes corruption 48:37 as hirabah, not simple theft. 48:39 Yes. When Allah mentions hirabah, those 48:43 who cause corruption on earth, He 48:46 mentions an exception: min qabli an 48:49 taqdiru alayhim. Except for those who 48:53 repent before you capture them, Allah 48:55 is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. So if 48:58 Mr. Prabowo dares to take a firm stance 49:03 , supported by the forces backing him 49:06 to improve our nation, do not instead 49:09 raise taxes on our people. 49:12 Taxes are raised, and food prices then 49:16 skyrocket. And we witness, what, the 49:19 officials? They are living even more 49:21 luxuriously. A minister has 30 special 49:24 envoys. Why aren't they all dismissed? 49:27 Just have the ministers work hard, 49:29 throw away all those fancy, luxurious 49:30 clothes, and replace them with the 49:32 people's attire so they work for the 49:33 people. The same thing is happening, 49:36 what? We witness how they are playing 49:40 games right now. Therefore, it is not 49:45 easy for our President Prabowo to carry 49:48 out his promises unless he receives 49:50 support. I think if the ministers in 49:54 charge do not provide support, try 49:56 asking the people to support him. Let 50:00 us, the people who are directly 50:02 experiencing these trials, join 50:03 together across all of Indonesia to 50:05 provide support for the President to 50:07 take action against the oligarchs and 50:09 corrupt officials. If necessary, 50:15 appoint new officials, enact emergency 50:19 laws if needed, in such conditions 50:21 create emergency laws, dissolve the 50:25 House of Representatives, and then 50:27 appoint an interim government to carry 50:29 out this cleansing if he is serious. H 50:33 it is just not easy to be a hero in our 50:36 country. Becoming a hero in our country 50:40 is not easy. What are the consequences? 50:43 Could he lose? Losing his position, or 50:46 even his life. But if he believes in 50:50 Allah Subhanallahu wa ta'ala, the world 50:52 is actually meaningless. 50:55 Leaving this world while hoping for 50:57 Allah's pleasure is the pinnacle of all 50:59 our hopes. And we seek refuge in Allah, 51:03 lest we become chasers of the world or 51:04 slaves to the world, but rather we want 51:06 to be servants of Allah, followers of 51:08 our Prophet Muhammad, peace and 51:10 blessings be upon him and his family. 51:12 Alright, Ustaz, it seems we are moving 51:14 on to another theme, Ustaz. This is a 51:16 question from a listener regarding 51:18 anxiety. 51:19 We have already read two responses to 51:21 that. Another theme, Ustaz, regarding 51:23 the Israiliyyat stories from a listener 51:24 . As it happens, we also touched on 51:26 that at the beginning, 51:27 regarding what Israiliyyat is. 51:29 Yes. This is from Mr. Jailani in East 51:32 Jakarta, Ciracas. Regarding 51:33 Isra'iliyyat stories, how did they 51:36 infiltrate Islamic teachings, and how 51:38 can we tell if something is 51:40 Isra'iliyyat or not? Perhaps Mr. SL 51:44 could elaborate on the issue of 51:45 Isra'iliyyat; what are some examples, 51:47 sir? 51:48 Yes. For instance, we often hear 51:52 accounts of how the Prophet suffered so 51:55 much toward the end of his life. Yet, 52:01 surely Allah would not let him suffer 52:03 like that, as he was Allah's beloved. 52:07 Meanwhile, other accounts describe 52:09 people passing away in much more 52:11 peaceful conditions. This is certainly 52:14 an example of how Isra'iliyyat misleads 52:17 the believers. Perhaps this opens the 52:21 door for our Ustadhs and teachers to 52:23 shed some light on this for us all. 52:27 Please, Ustadh Hamzah. 52:28 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious 52:29 , the Most Merciful. May Allah send 52:30 prayers and peace upon our master 52:31 Muhammad and the family of our master 52:33 Muhammad. First, the core issue is that 52:35 the Muslim community—not just the 52:38 laypeople, but many Ustadhs too—have 52:40 distanced themselves from the Quran. 52:43 Hm. 52:44 Yes, distanced themselves from the 52:46 Quran. An Al-Azhar scholar was once 52:50 asked whether we have abandoned the 52:54 Quran, since the Quran itself mentions 52:58 such a thing. That the Prophet (peace 53:02 be upon him) will say on the Day of 53:04 Judgment, "Wa qalar-rasulu...""...inna 53:08 qawmit-takhadhu hadhal-qur'ana mahjura. 53:10 " The Prophet will complain to Allah ( 53:15 subhanahu wa ta'ala) that his people 53:17 have abandoned the Quran. When the 53:22 scholar was interviewed, he said, "No, 53:24 we haven't abandoned the Quran; we read 53:26 it." Yes, the Quran is certainly read 53:30 and memorized; there are so many doing 53:32 that nowadays. 53:34 But is its meaning understood? Are its 53:37 teachings being followed? This is what 53:40 the Prophet meant by "abandoning the 53:42 Quran." It means it's not used as a 53:45 guide for life, not as a mizan—a 53:48 standard of truth—and not as a light 53:51 to navigate their problems. It's not 53:55 used as a furqan, which allows us to 53:59 distinguish between right and wrong 54:03 when facing life's complex problems. 54:08 The Quran should actually be that 54:10 furqan. This is the first point. This 54:13 means the Quran is abandoned not just 54:15 by the laypeople, but also by many 54:17 Ustadhs, as you can see. They may be 54:20 skilled in Arabic, balaghah, and nahwu. 54:24 But their lectures rely so heavily on 54:27 external narrations that the laypeople 54:29 become increasingly confused. Just as 54:34 Mr. Sfri mentioned, how could the 54:37 Prophet, when passing away...When it's 54:41 described that he suffered so terribly, 54:45 as if he were being skinned alive. ... 54:49 alive. 54:51 How could the Prophet (peace be upon 54:53 him), who is the beloved of Allah ( 54:55 subhanahu wa ta'ala), suffer like that? 54:58 So this is it, you see? Why don't we 55:02 look at how Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) 55:06 describes the passing of a believer? In 55:12 fact, Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) says, 55:14 "Innalladhina qalu rabbunallahu 55:15 thummastaqamu..." Yes. Indeed, those 55:30 who say "Our Lord is Allah" and remain 55:34 steadfast. What more, then, for the 55:35 Prophet (peace be upon him)? He was 55:37 certainly the most pious of people. The 55:41 person most devoted and obedient to 55:44 Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala). It's just 55:47 a short point, those who say 55:49 Rabbunallah, our Lord is Allah. Meaning 55:52 they believe in the oneness of Allah, 55:54 yes. Not associating partners with 55:55 Allah subhanahu wa taala. Then they are 55:58 consistent in that, so what happens 56:01 when they die? When they pass away, 56:08 angels descend, not just one, many 56:11 angels descend to bring good news: do 56:15 not be sad, do not be afraid, and 56:18 rejoice in the paradise that awaits you 56:22 . 56:24 This is like the hadith of the Prophet, 56:27 when a believer is about to die, their 56:30 place in paradise is shown to them. 56:35 When a person is happy, their soul is 56:39 joyful, and that pain... 56:42 is not even felt. We have heard about 56:44 Sayyidina Ali, right, when... 56:46 his foot was struck by an arrow, and 56:48 then... 56:48 it was pulled out, it was painful. " 56:50 Let me pray first." When he was praying 56:53 , the arrow was pulled out; it was 56:54 agonizing, it was pulled out forcefully 56:56 . 56:58 He didn't feel it, he didn't feel a 57:00 thing because he was already joyful 57:02 with something much more pleasing to 57:04 his heart. If we read the Quran again, 57:08 how those who die are described. For a 57:13 believer, Allah describes the one who 57:16 dies as if they are in a dream. Hmm. 57:20 In Surah Az-Zumar, Allah mentions... 57:29 what is it? It is Allah who holds the 57:37 souls at the time of death. So, when a 57:41 person dies, according to the Quran, 57:43 this is how our soul is released from 57:46 our body. We consist of this physical 57:51 body, then there is the soul, the nafs 57:55 ... 57:55 and there is the spirit. So, when one 57:57 dies, it means the soul is pulled out 58:00 ... 58:01 and removed from the body because the 58:04 body might already be "out of date," so 58:06 to speak. It’s no longer fit to be 58:08 inhabited by the soul, perhaps the 58:10 heart is damaged or something. So, at 58:13 the time of death, it is separated. 58:16 Allah describes this separation as 58:18 being like someone sleeping. Hualladzi 58:22 what? Yatawaffa al-anfusa hina mawtiha 58:26 ...no, it's Hualladzi yatawaffakum. 58:29 Allah mentions that, describing how a 58:32 sleeping person is like one who has 58:34 died. 58:36 Now, when I was explaining Surah 58:38 Az-Zumar, it's interesting because many 58:42 people have actually written about this 58:45 , up to 100 experiences from people who 58:49 had near-death experiences. 58:52 Okay. Near-death experiences are real, 58:54 not just a coma, no. Near-death 58:55 experience. That means the heart has 58:58 stopped, medically there is no pulse, 59:00 like that. If it were a coma, it's 59:04 still... 59:05 they are still there, just unconscious. 59:07 They are just not conscious. After I 59:10 explained Surah Az-Zumar, someone came 59:12 to me and said, "Ustadz, what you 59:13 described from the Quran is true; I 59:15 experienced it myself because I once 59:17 had a near-death experience."" 59:21 When I was in college in Jogja, I was 59:24 riding a motorcycle, had a collision, 59:27 my helmet shattered, my skull was 59:29 fractured, bleeding, and my ribs were 59:32 broken." Then, at that moment, they 59:37 didn't feel anything at all. Suddenly, 59:39 they felt they were in a dark realm. 59:42 But even though it was dark, it was 59:44 bright. What does that mean? Even 59:46 though it's dark, he can see clearly. 59:50 This is the meaning of sight when 59:52 someone passes away, as Allah describes 59:55 in "fakasyafnaaka". Surah Qaf. We have 1:00:02 removed your veil from you. Because 1:00:05 when we see right now, it's through our 1:00:07 eyes, right? 1:00:08 Eyes have their weaknesses, don't they? 1:00:12 Yes, they have limitations, especially 1:00:14 when we're old or it's too dark, we 1:00:16 can't see. 1:00:18 He felt the room was dark, but he could 1:00:22 see clearly; he saw his own body lying 1:00:26 on the asphalt, shattered. 1:00:30 He could see it himself. 1:00:31 He saw his own self. 1:00:33 He didn't feel any pain, no. Then 1:00:36 people around him gathered, "Wow, 1:00:38 he’s passed away, he’s dead.""They 1:00:40 checked, and there was no pulse." 1:00:42 Finally, they covered him with what? 1:00:44 With a newspaper, usually that's how it 1:00:46 is. 1:00:48 Not long after. Oh, they were waiting; 1:00:51 usually they wait for an ambulance or 1:00:53 the police. Little did they know, the 1:00:58 person who passed away felt he was in 1:01:01 such a peaceful realm. Then he heard a 1:01:06 voice, "Just stay calm here, you see, 1:01:09 it's so peaceful here, isn't it?""Yes." 1:01:14 No, I want to see; he looked and then 1:01:16 after that, he saw a small light. He 1:01:20 approached the light, then opened it 1:01:23 with his hands, and it turned out to be 1:01:26 the worldly realm; as soon as it opened 1:01:29 , he felt pain. 1:01:30 Hmm. Back to his body. 1:01:32 His soul returned to his body 1:01:34 immediately. And at that moment, he 1:01:36 finally felt the pain. 1:01:37 People around said, "Ah, he's alive 1:01:39 again, he's alive again." They said. 1:01:41 That's it. So, how is it that when he 1:01:43 died he was so peaceful? He didn't, he 1:01:45 didn't feel it. Actually, it was when 1:01:47 he came back to life that he felt the 1:01:48 pain. 1:01:48 Pain. Pain from the wounds, Ustaz. 1:01:50 Because of the wounds. 1:01:52 Not because of dying, no. This is a 1:01:54 picture from the Qur'an that Allah 1:01:55 describes Himself. And this is proven; 1:01:58 a doctor from England conducted 1:02:01 research by interviewing 100 people who 1:02:03 had near-death experiences. 1:02:06 Hmm. 1:02:07 Their answers were almost exactly the 1:02:08 same. How they lived in... 1:02:11 This is a clear picture from the Qur'an 1:02:13 about the Barzakh realm and the Day of 1:02:15 Judgment, which are unseen things. Why 1:02:18 don't we take our reference from the 1:02:20 Qur'an? This is news from Allah. Why 1:02:24 must we use accounts that sometimes 1:02:27 confuse us? It's not that we aren't 1:02:29 allowed to take accounts. Take accounts 1:02:32 that align with the Qur'an, like that. 1:02:34 When it contradicts the Qur'an, we 1:02:36 shouldn't take it; we reject it, like 1:02:38 that. The Qur'an is the benchmark, 1:02:40 isn't it? Wallahu a'lam. 1:02:42 Right. Ustaz, could you add, how do we 1:02:45 distinguish if this is Israiliyat or 1:02:47 not, for laypeople? To distinguish 1:02:51 whether an account is part of 1:02:53 Israiliyat, don't rely only on its 1:02:57 isnad (chain of transmission); that is 1:03:00 a fatal mistake. 1:03:03 Whereas actually, in...There are five 1:03:07 rules for determining the validity of a 1:03:11 Hadith and a narration; three concern 1:03:14 the chain of narrators (sanad), and two 1:03:17 concern the text (matan) or the content 1:03:20 of the Hadith. Regarding the sanad, 1:03:25 first, it must be continuous (muttasil) 1:03:27 , linked directly to the Prophet, with 1:03:30 absolutely no breaks in the chain. 1:03:34 Second, every narrator in the chain 1:03:37 must be trustworthy (fiqah) and 1:03:40 reliable. And must have never been 1:03:44 involved in any lies. Third, they must 1:03:47 be someone meticulous in narrating 1:03:49 Hadith. Because in the past, it wasn't 1:03:51 written down. Uh-huh. 1:03:52 It was based on memory. 1:03:53 Yes. Yes. 1:03:56 Now, the fourth and fifth are the 1:03:57 absence of irregularity (adamusyudud). 1:04:00 Where the content of the Hadith must 1:04:03 not be odd or contradictory to what is 1:04:06 narrated in the Qur'an or other 1:04:08 authentic Hadiths. 1:04:12 Then, it must not be detestable ( 1:04:13 mungkar). Because the meaning of ' 1:04:15 mungkar' is something impossible to be 1:04:17 part of 1:04:18 a Hadith. 1:04:19 Hadith. Because we are commanded to 1:04:21 prevent what is detestable (munkar). 1:04:22 How could we possibly narrate 1:04:24 detestable, untrue Hadiths? For example 1:04:26 , the story that Prophet Moses was 1:04:28 naked, his private parts exposed, and 1:04:30 he was running around in the middle of 1:04:32 his people. This is a detestable Hadith 1:04:34 . How could something like this be 1:04:37 narrated from our Prophet Muhammad, 1:04:39 peace be upon him? If an ordinary 1:04:41 scholar were described as being naked 1:04:43 with their private parts exposed, it 1:04:45 would be a huge shame. How could Allah 1:04:48 allow a holy, noble Prophet to do such 1:04:50 a thing? It’s impossible. But 1:04:55 unfortunately, some, or rather most, 1:04:57 Hadith scholars only look at those 1:05:00 first three criteria. 1:05:02 Three. 1:05:03 It is said that very few Hadith 1:05:05 scholars fully complete their research 1:05:08 based on all five criteria. That is why 1:05:12 we notice that most Israiliyat 1:05:14 traditions are found in the authentic 1:05:17 books. 1:05:18 Hmm. 1:05:19 The story of Prophet Moses being naked 1:05:21 is found in Bukhari. But because the 1:05:24 chain is considered authentic and it is 1:05:26 in the book of Bukhari, they assume 1:05:27 this book is a holy scripture. 1:05:30 Seriously? 1:05:31 And Bukhari is treated as if he were a 1:05:32 Prophet. So even if the Qur'an brought 1:05:35 by the Prophet clearly does not accept 1:05:36 this, it is forced to be accepted. 1:05:39 Eventually, the Qur'an is interpreted 1:05:40 to align with what? With the Hadith. 1:05:42 Instead of the Hadith being 1:05:43 re-evaluated against the Qur'an. Now, 1:05:46 the story regarding the death of the 1:05:49 Prophet in a state of suffering is 1:05:51 something extraordinarily strange. 1:05:54 First, the Qur'an never mentions that 1:05:57 people of faith die in a state of 1:05:59 suffering. It never says that at all. 1:06:03 What it mentions is 1:06:04 the wrongdoers. 1:06:05 Yes. 1:06:06 For example, verse 93 of Surah Al-An'am 1:06:09 . Walau tara idziz-zhalimuna fi 1:06:14 ghamaratil mauti wal-malaikatu basithu 1:06:18 aidiyahum If you could see the 1:06:23 wrongdoers in the agony of death, while 1:06:26 the angels extend their hands, "Extract 1:06:29 your souls." So it is not the angels 1:06:33 who take their souls, they themselves 1:06:35 are ordered to extract their own souls. 1:06:38 Just imagine how, what it is like 1:06:42 when they have to extract 1:06:44 their own souls 1:06:45 with their own hands, what kind of 1:06:47 suffering that is. 1:06:48 Great suffering. Ghamaratil mauti Today 1:07:00 you will be recompensed with a 1:07:01 humiliating punishment. Because you 1:07:07 spoke about Allah that which is untrue. 1:07:11 Wa kuntum 'an ayatihi tastakbirun. And 1:07:14 you were arrogant toward His signs. 1:07:17 That is what is happening now. Scholars 1:07:19 are speaking untruths. Then they act 1:07:22 arrogantly toward the verses of Allah. 1:07:25 The Quran is not read to be studied, 1:07:28 only chanted beautifully at ceremonies. 1:07:32 In Surah Muhammad, Allah also mentions 1:07:36 how those who say to the disbelievers, 1:07:40 "Sanutiukum fi ba'dil amr." They say, " 1:07:43 We will tolerate you in some of Allah's 1:07:46 laws." 1:07:47 Allah considers them apostates. 1:07:49 Innalladhina raddau' ala adbarihim min 1:07:52 ba'di ma tabayyana lahumul huda 1:07:54 ash-shaitanu sawwala lahum wa amla 1:07:56 lahum. Those who apostatized from the 1:08:02 religion of Allah after guidance was 1:08:05 made clear to them, it is all a 1:08:07 deception by Satan who has misled and 1:08:10 ensnared them. Why? Sanutiukum. Because 1:08:23 they say to those who dislike what 1:08:25 Allah revealed in His book, "We will 1:08:28 obey you in some matters." Meaning, let 1:08:31 us abolish 1:08:32 uh 1:08:32 some of Allah's verses or interpret 1:08:35 them according to their desires. Allah 1:08:44 knows best what they conceal. After 1:08:47 that, how will the angels be when they 1:08:55 take their souls while striking their 1:08:57 faces and their backs. Because they 1:09:04 followed what angers Allah and disliked 1:09:05 His pleasure. Allah destroys all their 1:09:10 deeds in Surah Muhammad. But concerning 1:09:13 the believers, Allah mentions, " 1:09:15 Alladhina tatawaffahumul malaikatu 1:09:18 thayyibina yaquluna salamun 'alaikum 1:09:21 udkhulu al-jannata bima kuntum ta'malun 1:09:23 ." Angels, when taking the souls of the 1:09:27 believers, take them while they are " 1:09:29 thayyibin"—in what state? 1:09:32 In a beautiful and good state. " 1:09:35 Thayyibin" here is the state they are 1:09:38 in when taken; the angels say to them, 1:09:42 "Enter Paradise, peace be upon you."" 1:09:47 Udkhulu al-jannata bima kuntum ta'malun 1:09:49 ." Enter Paradise for what you used to 1:09:52 do. So, when a person is about to die, 1:09:55 if they are a believer, Allah shows 1:09:57 them the pleasures of Paradise. So that 1:10:00 when their soul is taken, they feel 1:10:01 nothing. Now, the Prophet who struggled 1:10:04 throughout his life for 23 years, 1:10:06 it is very unlikely that he 1:10:09 would feel the immense suffering of the 1:10:11 struggle at the end of his life; 1:10:12 subhanallah, he was met in a state that 1:10:14 , though full of suffering, was a test 1:10:16 that elevated the Prophet. As soon as 1:10:19 the Prophet passed away, he was greeted 1:10:21 by a beautiful welcome. 1:10:23 There is not a single verse that shows 1:10:25 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala takes the 1:10:27 soul of a believer in suffering. 1:10:29 Therefore, in a narration, although its 1:10:31 chain of transmission is not very 1:10:32 strong, its meaning is consistent with 1:10:33 the Quran. Man ahabba liqa Allah, 1:10:35 ahabballahu liqaahu. If a person longs 1:10:37 to meet Allah, Allah longs to meet them 1:10:40 . Wa man kariha liqa Allah, karihallahu 1:10:43 liqaahu; if a person does not like to 1:10:45 meet Allah because of their bad deeds, 1:10:47 Allah also does not like to meet them. 1:10:51 Therefore, we see righteous people when 1:10:54 facing the throes of death, even those 1:10:57 stabbed by poisoned knives like Imam 1:11:00 Ali; when he was stabbed, he said, " 1:11:03 Fuztu warabbi al-Ka'bah." He longed for 1:11:07 martyrdom. 1:11:08 I have attained what I longed for. He 1:11:11 was not angry at his assassin. He said 1:11:13 if I live, I will punish him myself. If 1:11:17 I pass away, do not act unjustly and do 1:11:20 not bind my hands too tightly. Let us 1:11:23 observe. The same with Ammar bin Yasir, 1:11:25 "Fuzu warabbil Ka'bah"(I have succeeded 1:11:26 by the Lord of the Ka'bah) when he 1:11:27 perished. Likewise with Bilal ibn Rabah 1:11:29 , the companions of the Prophet longed 1:11:31 for that moment. But now, why is the 1:11:35 Muslim community being frightened of 1:11:37 facing death? These are Israeli 1:11:38 narratives that attempt to make Muslims 1:11:40 afraid to struggle, 1:11:41 afraid of death, and in love with 1:11:43 worldly life. That is Jewish. 1:11:45 The Jewish people want to make us love 1:11:46 life and fear death. It is a great pity 1:11:50 if we are made to fear facing death, 1:11:53 even though death is actually a mercy. 1:11:57 On the outside, it is indeed 1:11:58 frightening, but inside it is mercy. 1:11:59 Now, for an example in the accounts 1:12:01 regarding the People of the Trench ( 1:12:02 Ashabul Ukhdud), when a woman remained 1:12:06 with her child, she was the last one 1:12:07 left. All the others had already been 1:12:09 thrown into the trench. Only a woman 1:12:12 remained with the child in her arms. 1:12:14 A trench of fire, right? 1:12:15 A trench of fire, right? 1:12:16 Yes. 1:12:16 One filled with fire. 1:12:18 The mother hesitated to enter. 1:12:21 The child said, "O Mother, jump and 1:12:27 throw yourself in. On the outside is 1:12:30 fire, on the inside is mercy." This is 1:12:32 just a test. "We are offered the world 1:12:35 alongside things that are frightening. 1:12:38 Many people are deceived by the world 1:12:40 that dances sweetly before them. They 1:12:42 forget the promise of Allah. Whereas if 1:12:44 they cross that trial, they will truly 1:12:47 discover what? An atmosphere that is 1:12:50 extremely beautiful, not as painful as 1:12:52 imagined. So if we live and die in 1:12:56 truth, struggle to uphold justice, and 1:12:58 do not collaborate with the unjust, 1:13:01 even if we live simply, our souls will 1:13:03 be at peace and the mercy of Allah will 1:13:06 shelter us. But if we live with the 1:13:09 unjust, gather with them, and do not 1:13:11 commit their deeds, when the torment 1:13:13 descends, we will be affected. So let 1:13:17 us remind ourselves and our nation, 1:13:19 which is currently facing heavy trials, 1:13:22 not to despair or lose heart. If you 1:13:25 are with Allah, you will live safely 1:13:27 and peacefully. Perform commanding the 1:13:29 good and forbidding the evil. Learn 1:13:31 from our brothers in Gaza. How they do 1:13:35 not bow their heads before overwhelming 1:13:38 forces. In Yemen, it is the same. Why 1:13:41 don't we learn from them? Hezbollah 1:13:44 also turns out to be brave in 1:13:46 confronting Israel. Even though we know 1:13:49 Hamas is from the Sunni school of 1:13:52 thought, and Hezbollah is from the S- 1:13:55 Shia. 1:13:55 But why is it that the Shia defend 1:13:57 their brothers of a different sect 1:13:59 solely for the sake of Allah Subhanahu 1:14:01 wa ta'ala; it feels beautiful. If a 1:14:03 person acts for the sake of Allah, then 1:14:05 fear will vanish and life will feel 1:14:07 peaceful. So let us together welcome 1:14:09 the arrival of the month of Ramadan. 1:14:12 Let us prepare ourselves by praying to 1:14:14 Allah to make us people who serve Allah 1:14:17 sincerely. Not speaking on behalf of a 1:14:20 group, faction, party, or sect. But as 1:14:24 Allah taught," Inna salati wa nusuki wa 1:14:26 mahyaya wa mamati lillahi Rabbil' 1:14:28 alamin. "Subhanakallah. 1:14:41 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 1:14:43 wabarakatuh. 1:14:43 Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi 1:14:45 wabarakatuh. And that was our 1:14:47 reflection under the shade of the Quran 1:14:49 in today's Friday morning Q&A session, 1:14:51 brothers and sisters. Thank you to Iwan 1:14:55 Hawat for sending in your question. We 1:14:57 haven't been able to answer a few of 1:14:59 them yet. Among them are the usual 1:15:00 questions regarding Zakat al-Fitr and 1:15:01 Zakat al-Mal, Ustaz. Maybe later 1:15:03 we can discuss that as we approach 1:15:04 Ramadan, perhaps next week, Ustaz. Or 1:15:06 on Tuesday, God willing, if 1:15:07 Oh yes, God willing, Ustaz. Mr. Sapri, 1:15:09 thank you as well 1:15:10 for being with us.
