There, the disease spreads, and 3:19 there also are the places where the 3:22 punishment of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 3:25 may descend. Therefore, as servants who 3:31 believe in Allah, who believe in the 3:34 Hereafter, who believe that every good 3:37 deed will be rewarded with something 3:40 better, and evil will be repaid 3:42 according to the evil we commit. Let us 3:47 together prepare our provisions for 3:49 life to face Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 3:54 This morning I would like to invite all 3:59 listeners and viewers to go back back 4:04 to the past, long before we lived in 4:08 this worldly life. When our 4:12 grandparents were still in Paradise, 4:16 what made them happy? And what caused 4:22 them to suffer in misery, losing their 4:25 happiness? Were they not happy and 4:29 honorable when they obeyed Allah? As 4:33 soon as they forgot Allah's warning and 4:36 followed the temptations of Satan, they 4:38 lost the honor and happiness they 4:40 possessed. This is not limited only to 4:44 our grandparents. It happens to every 4:50 generation of humanity where Allah 4:53 Subhanahu wa ta'ala honors those who 4:56 believe and do good, and destroys those 4:59 who commit corruption on earth. 5:04 Previously, Allah gave warning after 5:06 warning, admonition after admonition, 5:08 so that they would realize. But it 5:12 turns out that few of them realized, 5:14 and most of them drifted away, consumed 5:20 by their desires and the temptations of 5:24 Satan, who cannot defend them when they 5:28 face disaster. In fact, Satan easily 5:33 abandons the humans who follow him. He 5:38 said, "Inni bari-un minka inni 5:40 akhafullaha rabbal' alamin." I wash my 5:44 hands of you. I fear Allah Subhanahu wa 5:47 ta'ala, the Lord of the worlds. Some are 6:57 even preparing for their own wedding. 7:02 Others are just born in a fresh, 7:05 healthy state. Then the parents are 7:09 shocked by the death of their child at 7:12 that moment. Therefore, let us never 7:16 forget to remember death. And the 7:19 Prophet often reminded us, "Akthiru min 7:21 dhikri al-mawt." In another narration, 7:25 "Akthiru dhikra hadim al-ladhdhat." 7:28 Increase your remembrance of death, 7:31 which prevents you from being swept 7:33 away and lost in pleasure. Now, the 7:37 arrival of this corona for the 7:39 believers is a warning. For those who 7:43 are disbelievers, who deny, it is a 7:47 threat. If they return, they will be 7:50 safe. If not, they will perish. 7:54 Followed by torment and suffering. 7:56 Whereas for the believers, it is a 7:58 reminder. It is not that 8:27 we fear Allah's injustice, for Allah 8:29 never acts unjustly. But we fear the 8:32 evil consequences of the sins we have 8:35 committed. Allah is All-Just, 8:39 All-Generous. Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 8:43 will forgive us when we repent before 8:45 our time comes. But if we do not repent 8:48 , Allah will not show favoritism. Allah 8:52 will judge every person according to 8:54 what they have done, even if they come 8:57 from the family of His prophets. For 8:59 example, what became of the wife of 9:02 Noah, the son of Noah, or the wife of 9:05 Lot who were destroyed by Allah. 9:08 Conversely, for those who believe, even 9:11 if she was the wife of Pharaoh, because 9:13 she was willing to embrace the truth 9:15 and the call of Allah, Allah granted 9:16 her guidance and instruction. The heavens and earth stand firm 11:25 because Allah sustains them. If Allah 11:27 were to abandon them, then the heavens, 11:30 the earth, and our very lives would 11:32 collapse. Why, with such magnificent 11:35 and noble spiritual provisions, do we 11:37 still fall into despair, sadness, worry 11:41 , and fear? Is there any power other 11:45 than Allah capable of harming us? 11:49 Likewise, why do we direct our hopes 11:51 toward anyone other than Allah? Is 11:55 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala not capable 12:00 of fulfilling our desires until we go 12:02 to others instead of Allah? We hear the 12:08 news that the German Minister of 12:10 Finance committed suicide. He committed 12:14 suicide because he was facing such a 12:15 severe financial crisis. It does not 12:20 mean there was no money, but he felt 12:23 ashamed because he was unable to handle 12:25 the economic issues. And he did not go 12:29 so far as to open an account to ask the 12:32 German people for help. But he was 12:34 ashamed because he could not fulfill 12:36 his responsibilities. If he had been a 12:40 person who believed in Allah, with his 12:42 sense of shame, he would truly have 12:44 been able to escape the crisis. But in 12:49 our country, even though people claim 12:51 to be Muslims, what is missing is a 12:53 sense of shame, a sense of 12:57 responsibility, a sense of justice, and 12:59 mercy. They do not care at all about 13:06 the capacity of the people below who 13:09 suffer due to incorrect policies. They 13:16 make the decisions, but the people have 13:18 to bear the suffering. When their 13:22 policies do not produce what they want, 13:25 they again add to the burden of the 13:28 community and the people. The 13:33 government should work together, 13:35 prioritizing the interests of the 13:37 nation and state, not each prioritizing 13:40 their own personal interests and 13:42 positions. Excessive love for the world 13:47 will make people lose their common 13:49 sense. Those who see will turn blind. 13:53 Those who hear will turn deaf. Those 13:56 who have intellect will lose their 13:58 minds and become idiots. But those who 14:03 believe in Allah know the true purpose 14:05 of this life. No matter how severe the 14:09 trial, they do not feel worried. They 14:12 say, "Iyaka na'budu wa iyaka nastain." 14:16 Then they ask for guidance on what must 14:18 be done. Ihdinasiratal mustaqim. Only 14:22 those who have lost Allah will be 14:24 tossed about in confusion. Brothers and 14:31 sisters who are blessed by Allah, we 14:34 will contemplate the story of the 14:36 trials experienced by our ancestors 14:39 through Surah Taha starting from verse 14:42 116. Because it is told in various 14:49 versions, but we will take the version 14:51 told by Allah in Surah Taha. Waid qulna 14:56 lil malaikatisjudu liadama fasajadu 15:02 illa iblis illa iblisa abadu. And when 15:12 We said to the angels, the pure 15:14 creations of Allah who never disobey or 15:18 oppose, but obediently carry out 15:21 Allah's commands. Allah said to the 15:25 angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam." 15:29 Prostrate yourselves before Adam. It is 15:35 Allah who commanded the prostration. So 15:39 , obeying Allah in His command means 15:41 worshipping Allah. Just as we prostrate 15:46 on the ground, it is not the ground we 15:48 worship, but we obey Allah's command to 15:51 prostrate. On the face of the earth to 15:55 teach us humility and to not be 15:58 arrogant. We turn our faces toward the 16:01 Kaaba, but it is not the Kaaba we aim 16:04 for. Nor does Allah reside there. But 16:09 Allah, the Most Holy, who occupies 16:11 neither space nor time, wishes to host 16:14 His servants by inviting them there. 16:18 Allah chose one place on earth by His 16:21 divine decree. Then Allah commanded His 16:24 righteous servant, Ibrahim, along with 16:27 Ismail, to build that house from 16:28 earthly stones, not from jewels or 16:30 diamonds. Because that is not the 16:34 ultimate goal. It is merely a symbol. 16:38 Whoever worships the Kaaba is a 16:40 polytheist. But whoever worships Allah, 16:44 facing his face toward there in 16:46 obedience to Allah's command, is 16:48 worshipping Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 16:53 So when We said to the angels of Allah, 16:56 "Prostrate yourselves before Adam." It 17:03 turned out that all the angels 17:04 obediently prostrated. Fasajadal 17:08 malaikatu kulluhum ajmaun. They all 17:12 prostrated except for Iblis, who 17:14 refused and disobeyed. When he 17:21 disobeyed and refused, Allah censured 17:24 Iblis for his actions, asking, "Why are 17:27 you reluctant to prostrate to what I 17:30 have created with My own hands?" Iblis 17:34 replied that he was better than him. 17:38 You created me from fire, while You 17:40 created him from clay. He boasted about 17:43 himself, originating from fire, before 17:46 his Creator. Whereas human nobility is 17:49 not because one is from fire or from 17:50 clay. But human nobility lies in their 17:54 character, their soul, their deeds. So 18:00 let us never boast about our tribe, 18:02 never boast about our blood or our 18:05 origins. We all come from the earth and 18:10 we are all equal, like the teeth of a 18:12 comb; those noble in the sight of Allah 18:15 are the ones who believe and are pious. 18:19 Not by being Arab, not by being rich, 18:23 not by holding status. Even if a 18:28 commoner, when they believe and are 18:29 pious, they are the noble ones in the 18:31 sight of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. So 18:36 Satan is the one who boasted about 18:39 himself; the first to say "I" was Satan 18:42 . Ana khairum minhu khalaqtani minar wa 18:45 khalaqtahu min tin. Therefore, let us 18:49 not use the words typically used by 18:51 Satan. But use words like "we" or "us." 18:59 Because in this life, no one works for 19:01 themselves independently; everyone 19:04 needs others. The clothes we wear, the 19:08 food we eat. We know the food consumed 19:14 in one day, besides rice, is a bowl of 19:17 vegetable soup. How many people are 19:20 involved in that? Those who plant the 19:24 corn, the chayote, the melinjo, the 19:27 peanuts, and those who till the land. 19:31 How many are involved? Therefore, in 19:36 our work, let's say "we," this is all 19:38 our collaboration, our joint effort. 19:42 Just like me delivering this sermon. It will provide security, unlike 24:31 the fear of this world. That is the 24:34 cause of destruction and stumbling. 24:42 Inna laka alla tajua fiha wala ta'ra. 24:45 Indeed, for you in Paradise, you will 24:48 not be hungry nor will you be naked. 24:50 Everything is available to you. Wa 24:54 annaka la tazmau fiha wala tadha. And 24:57 you will never feel thirsty or parched. 25:02 Likewise, you will not feel the heat 25:04 and the scorching sun. In that state of 25:11 pleasure and glory promised by Allah. 25:13 Fawaswasa ilaihima qala ya adamu hal 25:18 adulluka ala syajaratil khuldi wa 25:20 mulkin la yabla. Satan came whispering 25:27 into their hearts, or sending whispers 25:30 into their hearts with lures and 25:32 beautiful promises. Shall I show you a 25:36 tree that will make you live forever 25:39 and you will possess a kingdom that 25:41 will never decay for all eternity? So, 25:48 the lure of power and eternal life. 25:55 Every human being fears facing death 25:57 and annihilation. That is what was 26:01 offered to Adam and Eve. Wa asha 27:39 adamurabbahu faghawa. Adam disobeyed 27:44 his Lord, and finally he went astray 27:47 and stumbled. This is a lesson for us, 27:51 not just for Adam. Once we disobey 27:54 Allah, follow others besides Allah, and 27:57 prioritize others over Allah, then we 28:00 will receive nothing but misguidance 28:03 and disgrace. Just look at developed 28:08 countries like America, Italy, as well 28:11 as Germany and major nations like China 28:14 , ravaged by confusion and fear. The 28:16 same goes for Japan and also Indonesia. 28:21 If not for the mercy of Allah, the 28:22 disaster occurring in our country would 28:24 be even more severe. But it seems Allah 28:27 still listens to the pleas of those who 28:29 ask for forgiveness, those who bow and 28:31 prostrate, and those who enjoin good 28:34 and forbid evil. Allah still holds back 28:36 His punishment. If we look at the 28:39 medical services available in our 28:40 country, the state's concern is also 28:42 quite minimal. What should have 28:44 happened would be far worse than what 28:46 America is currently experiencing. The 28:48 number of victims affected has already 28:50 reached 140,000. Likewise 31:56 with China and its massive economy. 32:00 They compete, and other nations become 32:03 victims of their colonization and acts 32:05 of oppression. China is not free from 32:08 responsibility. The same applies to 32:10 America; both are the masterminds 32:12 behind the destruction occurring on 32:15 this earth. Then Allah shows the path 32:41 of salvation. This is the only path for 32:43 us. Likewise in their 33:40 household life and their social life. 33:44 They are like someone who has lost 33:46 their mind, not knowing what to do. 33:48 Every day they work to find a way out, 33:51 but instead, they plunge deeper into 33:53 problems and misery. *Wa hashurnahu 33:59 yaumal qiyamati a'ma*. And We will 34:08 gather them, raising them in the 34:10 hereafter in a state of blindness on 34:12 the Plain of Gathering, amidst billions 34:14 of humans gathered from Adam until the 34:17 very last person. They are resurrected 34:20 in a state of blindness. *Qala rabbi*. 34:28 *Lima hashartani a'ma wa qad kuntu 34:30 bashira*. He says," My Lord, why have 34:33 You raised me blind while I used to be 34:35 able to see? "Allah answers, *" 34:38 Kadhalika atatka ayatuna. "*Thus did 34:42 Our verses come to you. Just as you acted then, today 35:00 you are treated the same way; you are 35:03 among those forgotten, cast aside, and 35:05 distanced from Allah's mercy, just as 35:07 you cast aside the verses of Allah 35:09 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. *Wa kadhalika 35:16 najzi man asrafa walam yu'min bi ayati 35:18 rabbihi*. Thus do We punish those who 35:22 transgress and do not believe in the 35:25 verses of their Lord. *Wa la 'adhabul 35:29 akhirati ashaddu wa abqa*. Indeed, the 35:32 punishment in the hereafter is far more 35:34 severe and more lasting. Therefore, let 35:38 us not panic right now when facing the 35:40 crises currently before us. We forget 35:43 the panic of the hereafter, which will 35:45 cause pregnant women to miscarry their 35:47 burdens. Those nursing will forget 35:51 their children, abandoning them just 35:53 like that. Even the wealth flowing 35:57 before them will be forgotten and left 35:59 behind. They eventually realize that a 36:03 sense of security and peace is far more 36:06 valuable than the world and everything 36:08 in it. A sense of security and peace is 36:11 found when we anchor our souls to Allah 36:13 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Brothers and 36:19 sisters who are blessed by Allah 36:20 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Is it not fitting 36:24 for us to learn from this verse? I do 36:27 not wish to insert various additions, 36:32 but I truly want to invite my brothers 36:35 and sisters to listen not just with two 36:38 ears, but to listen to what we have 36:41 conveyed with all of our hearts. The 36:46 time will come for every one of us to 36:49 face the call of Allah. Every one of us 36:54 will stand before Allah to account for 36:57 our deeds. There is no one with the 36:59 power to defend and help us. So let us 37:03 together fill our time with prayer, 37:05 seeking forgiveness, reciting God's 37:07 verses, giving charity, and doing good 37:09 deeds. Whoever wishes to always be with 37:14 God in His mercy, if you have abundance 37:16 , remember your brothers and sisters 37:19 around you. Help them. Do not let a day 37:23 pass without performing righteous deeds 37:26 . If you do this, you will truly be 37:31 under God's protection. Because you 37:34 look out for God's servants who are 37:36 struggling and help them, you will 37:38 always be within the mercy and 37:40 guarantee of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. 37:42 Let us make good use of our time. 37:45 Anyone who has extra rice, extra money, 37:47 or any extras that are not needed. Try 37:51 to help your brothers and sisters 37:53 lighten their burden. We do not know 37:55 how long this crisis will last. But 37:58 what is clear is that this is a lesson 38:00 from God so we realize our negligence 38:02 all this time and remember the death 38:04 that will come to claim us. So let us 38:08 not keep listening to news or reading 38:11 messages that depict frightening things 38:14 . Try to spread good words, offer 38:17 greetings, and provide a sense of 38:19 security and comfort to our brothers 38:21 and sisters.
