0:01 If you live relying and hoping in Allah 0:03 and His bounty, you will never be poor 0:05 nor fear poverty. We do not know what 0:09 will happen tomorrow. Will we still be 0:12 given the opportunity to live? Will the 0:15 call from Allah come to us? Before all 0:18 that comes, let us come together and 0:20 not delay. Immediately buy rice, buy 0:24 primary essential needs like oil and 0:27 soy sauce. Give them to our brothers 0:31 and sisters who have lost their jobs, 0:33 especially those who work for us. Allah 0:36 will always help a person as long as 0:38 they help their brother. Allah 0:40 Subhanahu wa ta'ala will protect them 0:42 from various kinds of harm and danger. 0:45 A stingy person is an enemy of Allah. 0:49 Even if they are a Muslim; conversely, 0:50 even if they are a non-Muslim, if their 0:52 hands are open and their heart is full 0:54 of mercy, this kind of person will 0:56 easily receive Allah's guidance and 0:58 forgiveness. I seek refuge in Allah 1:22 from the accursed Satan. In the name of 1:24 Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most 1:25 Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, 1:29 Lord of the worlds. To You is all 1:31 praise and gratitude, O our Lord, O 1:34 Most Gracious, O Most Merciful, O Most 1:36 Generous. Your majesty and Your words. 1:43 Glory be to You, and praise be to You. 1:54 And all praise belongs to You. O Allah, 1:57 send prayers upon Muhammad and the 1:59 family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers 2:01 upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, 2:04 and bless Muhammad and the family of 2:06 Muhammad, as You blessed...Now then. My 2:18 brothers and sisters, listeners, and 2:20 viewers whom Allah has blessed. Welcome 2:25 back to our morning gathering under the 2:27 shade of the Al-Qur'an. Coinciding with 2:32 the 7th of Sha'ban, April 1st. May 2:37 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala prepare us to 2:39 welcome the arrival of the holy month 2:41 of Ramadan, which is full of mercy. 2:45 Guiding us there, helping us to perform 2:48 fasting, night prayers, reading the 2:51 Al-Qur'an, asking for forgiveness, and 2:53 repenting to Allah for all the mistakes 2:56 we have committed. And hopefully, with 3:01 the trials currently faced by the 3:04 community, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 3:06 will make us all open, both outwardly 3:09 and inwardly, to welcome Allah's call 3:12 and compete in doing righteous deeds 3:15 that are beloved by Allah. First of all 3:19 , I offer the greeting of peace, mercy, 3:21 and blessings of Allah. Let us together 3:25 begin our reflection by reading the 3:27 Mother of the Qur'an. I seek refuge in 3:31 Allah from the accursed Satan. In the 3:38 name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the 3:39 Most Merciful. All praise is due to 3:45 Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most 3:50 Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of 3:55 the Day of Judgment. You alone we 3:59 worship, and You alone we ask for help. 4:04 Guide us to the straight path. The path 4:10 of those upon whom You have bestowed 4:12 favor. Not of those who have earned 4:16 Your anger, nor of those who are astray 4:18 . Allah has spoken the truth, His noble 4:28 Messenger has spoken the truth, and we 4:30 are witnesses to that. Brothers, 4:34 sisters, listeners, and viewers 4:38 wherever you are, who are sad and 4:41 grieving because of losing your jobs 4:47 and the income you usually receive 4:49 every day. Whether by trading food, or 4:56 as someone working as a motorcycle taxi 5:00 driver, or those who work to serve 5:06 passengers with their Grab service, or 5:10 those who must stay at home and are 5:17 unable to reach out and help their 5:20 families with their daily life needs. 5:25 On one hand, the government is ordering 5:27 them to stay at home. Not everyone has 5:31 a guarantee from their workplace. 5:35 Whether as a civil servant or a private 5:38 employee. Some have been laid off 5:41 without receiving any livelihood 5:43 guarantees at all. Therefore, on this 5:48 occasion, I invite myself personally, 5:55 To those around me and all Muslims, 5:57 extend your hands to help your brothers 6:01 and sisters, especially during these 6:04 critical times. Know, brothers and 6:10 sisters who are blessed by Allah, that 6:12 the generous are beloved to Allah. A 6:16 generous person who loves to help is a 6:19 servant cherished by Allah Subhanahu wa 6:22 ta'ala. Allah will always help him as 6:26 long as he is helping his brother. 6:29 Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala will protect 6:31 him from various kinds of wrath and 6:33 danger. Allah will free him from fear 6:36 and sadness. But conversely, the stingy 6:39 are enemies of Allah. A person who is 6:43 miserly is an enemy of Allah. Even if 6:46 he is a Muslim, or conversely, even if 6:49 he is a non-Muslim, if his hands are 6:51 open and his heart is full of mercy, 6:53 such a person will easily receive 6:55 Allah's guidance and forgiveness. 6:58 Meanwhile, a stingy Muslim is far from 7:01 Allah's mercy and easily becomes a 7:04 target for wrath and danger. So you, 7:09 brothers and sisters, gentlemen and 7:11 ladies who have been given abundance, 7:14 do not be stingy with your surplus in 7:16 helping those around you. I am not 7:20 telling you to donate your money to 7:22 government accounts to help with the 7:23 government's current difficulties. That 7:28 is not your obligation, but look at the 7:30 people around you, your neighbors, 7:32 relatives, and brothers and sisters who 7:35 have lost their jobs. Welcome these 7:38 days that are full of mercy. Extend 7:41 your hand, help them. Allah will free 7:45 you from sadness and also from fear. 7:48 Allah will keep your family away from 7:51 disease. And Allah will replace what 7:54 you spend many times over. Contemplate 7:59 the words of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 8:01 in Surah Al-Baqarah. The example of 8:05 those who spend their wealth in the way 8:07 of Allah is like a grain that grows 8:09 seven ears. And Allah wills, for Allah 8:17 is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. The 8:21 parable of those who spend their wealth 8:23 in the way of Allah. In the way of 8:27 Allah covers all paths of goodness. It 8:30 is not just about struggling on the 8:31 battlefield. But helping our brothers, 8:34 lightening their burdens, wiping away 8:37 their tears, and bringing them out of 8:40 their difficulties is a path deeply 8:42 loved by Allah. Especially at this time 8:46 , in a moment of crisis. Those who 8:53 spend their wealth in the way of Allah 8:56 are like a person who plants one grain, 9:00 which produces seven stalks. Each stalk 9:07 contains 100 grains. From one grain 9:11 planted, it produces 700 grains. And 9:18 Allah will still multiply it for whom 9:20 He wills. For Allah is All-Encompassing 9:22 , All-Knowing. Indeed, Allah is vast in 9:24 His wealth and grace, and He is 9:26 all-knowing of His servants. When Imam 9:29 Jafar Sadiq was asked, "Can you explain 9:35 how vast Allah's wealth is?" He replied 9:38 , "His command is only 'Be', and it is. 9:42 " There are no limits. If Allah were to 9:46 fulfill the hopes of every creature in 9:48 the heavens and on earth, all at the 9:50 same time, it would not diminish 9:52 Allah's wealth, but rather it would be 9:54 like a needle inserted into the middle 9:56 of an ocean. How much would cling to 9:58 that needle from the ocean? If you live 10:03 relying and hoping in Allah and His 10:05 wealth, you will never be poor or 10:07 afraid of poverty. But if you depend on 10:10 your own wealth, you will face poverty 10:12 right before you. Even if your savings 10:15 are overflowing. You will feel as if 10:18 you are suffocating during a crisis, 10:20 even though you have many assets and 10:22 abundant money. But that is the fear of 10:26 those enslaved by the world. Then Allah 10:30 Subhanahu wa ta'ala promised those who 10:32 give charity. 10:48 Indeed, those who spend their wealth in 10:51 the way of Allah, when they give, their 10:54 giving is not followed by hurtful words 10:57 or by mentioning what they have 11:00 previously given. So, it is not 11:04 followed by resentment or hurtful 11:06 remarks. Allah provides them, first, 11:09 with a reward in the hereafter with 11:12 their Lord. This is a picture that we 11:15 cannot even imagine how great it is. 11:19 Whereas the worldly picture was 11:21 mentioned as 700 times fold. Then, fala 11:24 khawfun 'alayhim wa la hum yahzanun. 11:27 Allah will free them from fear and 11:29 sadness. Once you experience fear and 11:34 sadness, the blessings you have will 11:36 turn into something bland and worthless 11:39 . But if you have a sense of security, 11:43 peace, and freedom from fear, you will 11:46 enjoy even a plate of rice with side 11:48 dishes and simple chili sauce, and you 11:51 will see life as so beautiful. 11:56 Therefore, you must remember that peace 11:58 and tranquility are only poured by 11:59 Allah into the hearts of believers. 12:05 Believe. Wa lillahi junudus-samawati 12:10 wal-ard, wallahu' aliman hakima. If 12:13 wealth is given by Allah to both the 12:15 believer and the disbeliever, then 12:17 peace and tranquility, free from fear, 12:19 are only poured by Allah into the 12:20 hearts of the believers. Only those who 12:26 believe in Allah, follow His guidance, 12:29 perform prayers, spend their wealth, 12:32 and prepare to face the hereafter are 12:34 freed from fear. There is no fear more 12:39 terrifying than the fear of Allah's 12:41 punishment and the moments when we are 12:43 resurrected in the afterlife. Therefore 12:46 , all the suffering of this world is 12:48 small compared to the punishment in the 12:50 hereafter. Our whole life, even if we 12:53 live for 100 years, is only 1/10 of a 12:55 day in the hereafter, while the days of 12:58 the hereafter are endless, so truly 13:00 lost are those who love their world and 13:02 prioritize it over the afterlife. 13:08 Therefore, brothers and sisters, if you 13:11 want your sustenance expanded, your 13:13 heart calmed, to be freed from fear, 13:16 and provided with a Great reward in the 13:19 afterlife, reach out your hand 13:21 according to your ability. Those who 13:25 can give a meter, give a meter; those 13:26 who can give 2 meters, give 2 meters; 13:28 those who can reach out even further, 13:30 do so. Do not waste this opportunity 13:32 before death comes to pick us up. 13:35 Opportunities pass and disappear. Only 13:37 then will we regret it. We will say, " 13:41 Rabbi law la akhkhartani ila ajalin 13:44 qaribin fa-assaddaqa wa akum 13:46 minas-salihin." O Allah, delay me for 13:49 just a short while. I promise to donate 13:51 all my wealth and become a righteous 13:53 person. But this is just a mere wish, 13:57 and it is impossible for Allah to 13:58 extend it. Because God knows that if 14:02 given more time, they will return to 14:04 their old ways. Because they realize 14:07 that once the fear subsides and they 14:09 feel secure, they will revert to their 14:11 previous actions and character. Well, 14:16 so those who give charity, those 14:19 beloved by God for whom God has 14:21 prepared rewards in the hereafter, and 14:23 God does not explain their true nature. 14:27 Because our minds will not be able to 14:29 imagine it. Not to mention the reward 14:31 in this world that is multiplied 700 14:32 times. God frees them from fear and 14:35 sadness. Meaning, God keeps them away 14:37 from things that frighten them. So give 14:41 charity, give charity, give charity. 14:43 You will become a beloved of God. Give 14:46 charity, reach out your hand. You will 14:48 be under the protection of Allah 14:50 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Do not expect to 14:53 enjoy peace and security if your family 14:55 is sick and you can afford to put them 14:57 in the hospital. You turn a blind eye 15:01 to those around you who are suffering. 15:03 Then await the punishment of Allah 15:05 Subhanahu wa ta'ala and His wrath. 15:08 Therefore, God says in Surah Ali 'Imran 15:11 . "And let not those who greedily 15:16 withhold what God has given them of His 15:18 bounty think that it is better for them 15:19 .""Rather, it is worse for them. Their 15:25 necks will be encircled by what they 15:26 withheld on the Day of Resurrection. 15:28 And to God belongs the inheritance of 15:29 the heavens and the earth. And God, 15:30 with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted 15:31 ." Do not ever let those who are stingy 15:35 with what God has given them think. 15:39 that what they are doing is better for 15:41 them or more profitable. Never let them 15:44 think this way. Rather, it is worse for 15:48 them. When they are stingy and hoard 15:52 what God has given them, indifferent to 15:54 the suffering of society around them, 15:57 it is a disaster for them. What they 16:00 withheld will be hung around their 16:02 necks on the Day of Resurrection. What 16:03 they once hoarded with stinginess in 16:05 their worldly life will be coiled 16:07 around their necks on Judgment Day. And 16:12 to God belongs the inheritance of the 16:13 heavens and the earth. In the end, it 16:15 is God who will inherit all the 16:18 kingdoms and wealth of the heavens and 16:20 the earth. They will have nothing. They 16:24 leave behind abundant wealth, inherited 16:26 by their children. With ease, God 16:28 destroys it, even destroying their 16:30 children and family. And God, with what 16:33 you do, is fully Acquainted. Indeed, 16:36 God is all-knowing of what you do. When 16:42 God commanded the Muslims to give 16:44 charity, the Jews mocked and ridiculed, 16:50 saying, "Innallaha faqir.""God is poor, 16:54 destitute." Even when God commanded His 16:59 servants to help their brothers. God 17:02 responded in wrath, "God has certainly 17:04 heard the statement of those who said,' 17:06 Indeed, God is poor, and we are rich. ' 17:08 " God has truly heard what was said by 17:11 those who claimed, "Indeed, God is poor 17:14 , and we are the rich." We will record 17:20 what they have said. And their killing 17:23 of the prophets without right. 17:26 Including the history of their killing 17:28 of their previous prophets. Even if 17:31 they weren't involved in killing the 17:33 Prophet, if they had the chance, they 17:35 would do it. Therefore, God gathers 17:37 them together with those who once 17:39 killed their prophets. And taste the 17:45 punishment of the Burning Fire. And we 17:47 say, "Taste the punishment that burns 17:50 you.""That is for what your hands have 17:53 put forth and because God is never 17:55 unjust to His servants." All of that is 17:58 the result of your own deeds, and God 18:01 is never unjust to His servants. It is 18:06 truly inappropriate, truly horrifying, 18:08 and truly pathetic if we live in luxury 18:11 , indulgence, and euphoria, even 18:13 watching various forms of entertainment 18:16 , while all around us people live in 18:19 fear, anxiety, and distress, with the 18:21 sick in need of our helping hands. 18:26 Meanwhile, we feel safe, we feel at 18:28 peace, we feel secure. Even if poverty 18:32 comes, we feel we must possess material 18:34 wealth. Even if food supplies become 18:38 difficult, we believe we can 18:40 collaborate with people who have the 18:43 means to provide for our food needs; 18:45 they forget. They make plans. Indeed, 18:48 all their plans are under the watch of 18:51 Allah. Allah has the power to make them 18:55 and their families live in hunger, live 18:58 in hardship, and even face the threat 19:00 of uprising from those who are less 19:03 fortunate because they never once 19:05 participated in their sorrow or grief. 19:11 Therefore, as we approach the month of 19:13 Ramadan where people usually pay Zakat, 19:15 start now; pay your Zakat in 19:16 installments. Pay your Zakat in 19:19 installments by buying rice, staple 19:22 foods for those who are less fortunate, 19:25 or helping people set up their health 19:27 insurance (BPJS). Because many people 19:30 are unable to pay or cover the fees 19:34 they are supposed to pay for BPJS, even 19:37 at the lowest rate. Let alone paying 19:40 for BPJS, many of them struggle just to 19:42 afford their daily meals. I feel this 19:45 is truly the most fertile ground for us 19:48 to perform deeds of goodness. Therefore 19:53 , do not let us become targets of 19:54 Allah’s punishment and wrath. Because 19:56 we have become selfish people who only 19:58 care about ourselves. But extend your 20:02 hands, especially during a crisis and 20:04 critical times like this. Whatever you 20:08 spend for charity, the reward will be 20:10 multiplied manifold. Therefore, among 20:14 the traits of the righteous whom Allah 20:16 has promised Paradise is that they love 20:33 the people. Race to do good before 20:35 death comes, before the opportunity is 20:38 lost, before we fall ill, while we are 20:40 healthy, while we have plenty, while we 20:42 are at ease. Before distractions come 20:46 to hinder us, to stop us from doing 20:48 good, race to obtain and reach 20:50 forgiveness from Allah and the Paradise 20:53 that Allah has provided, as wide as the 20:56 heavens and the earth for those who are 20:58 righteous. Who are the righteous people 21:01 meant by Allah? They are those who 21:05 spend their wealth, not only in times 21:08 of joy, but in times of ease, as well 21:11 as in times of difficulty, crisis, and 21:14 hardship. They are those who suppress 21:19 their anger, they do not like to 21:21 unleash their rage. And those who love 21:24 to forgive the mistakes of others. 21:28 Their hearts do not harbor hatred, 21:30 grudges, or hostility when people hurt 21:32 them; instead, they forgive and pray 21:34 for the forgiveness of those people. 21:38 And Allah loves the doers of good. 21:40 Indeed, Allah loves those who perform 21:42 virtuous deeds. Let us together, 21:48 brothers and sisters blessed by Allah, 21:51 open our hearts to truly feel the 21:54 suffering, hardship, and anxiety of our 21:57 poor brothers and sisters. Do not say, 22:01 "My Zakat is already finished." Even 22:05 though Allah has bestowed such abundant 22:07 wealth. Allah has mandated an amount 22:10 from the wealth of the rich that is 22:13 sufficient to meet the needs of the 22:16 poor. For the poor and the needy would 22:19 never be hungry, thirsty, or suffering, 22:21 were it not for the neglect of the 22:23 wealthy. Allah never mentioned 2.5%, 22:27 nor did He specify 5%or 10%. But in a 22:31 hadith narrated from the Commander of 22:33 the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace 22:35 be upon him), he said, "Innallaha 22:39 farada fi amwalil aghniya' ma yu'addi 22:41 hajatul fuqara '." Allah has mandated 22:45 from the wealth of the rich an amount 22:48 sufficient to cover the needs of their 22:50 poor, those among them who are 22:53 suffering. And it is impossible for the 23:01 poor to be hungry or naked unless 23:03 caused by the neglect of the wealthy. 23:06 Remember, Allah will ask us about our 23:09 wealth. Just as He will ask about our 23:14 knowledge, and ask about the life we 23:15 have spent. We will leave this life 23:18 very soon. Why are we more afraid of 23:21 corona than of Allah? The Lord who 23:25 created the corona. We have been 23:29 rendered so frantic and chaotic that we 23:32 are reluctant to visit the house of 23:34 Allah. Even to shake hands with our own 23:37 brothers who aren't even suspected of 23:39 having the disease. We refuse. How can 23:42 this be? A small trial has already made 23:47 us scatter, fall apart, and live in 23:49 fear. What will it be like when a 23:52 greater punishment arrives, far beyond 23:54 what we imagine? What will it be like 23:58 when the throes of death come, from 24:00 which there is no escape, followed by 24:03 the grave, separated from our family, 24:06 the children we love, and all our 24:08 worldly possessions? We will rely only 24:12 on Allah's mercy, and the good deeds we 24:14 have done are what will offer hope to 24:17 illuminate our graves. Why are we 24:20 extinguishing that hope with our own 24:22 hands now? When we are actually capable 24:25 of doing all of that for our salvation 24:27 in this world and the hereafter. 24:31 Therefore, those who spend in the way 24:33 of Allah, those who reach out to help 24:35 their fellow human beings, are those 24:38 who truly receive a guarantee of safety 24:40 from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. They 24:45 are the ones who will not lose out, 24:47 especially regarding what they spend on 24:48 their own relatives, on those who are 24:53 closest to them. Even if they do not 24:56 receive praise, they will receive 24:58 something much greater from Allah. 25:01 Besides spending and giving charity, 25:03 they gain the reward of maintaining 25:05 kinship ties, which lengthens their 25:06 life, increases their sustenance, and 25:08 keeps them away from various calamities 25:10 and dangers. Then Allah Subhanahu wa 25:14 ta'ala continues in verse 274 of Surah 25:16 Al-Baqarah. "Alladhina yunfiquna 25:20 amwalahum bil-layli wan-nahari sirran 25:23 wa' alaniyah falahum ajruhum 'inda 25:25 rabbihim wala khawfun' alayhim wala hum 25:27 yahzanun." Those who spend their wealth 25:34 by night and by day, secretly and 25:38 openly. For them, Allah has provided 25:43 their reward with their Lord, and they 25:46 shall be free from fear and grief. 25:50 Again and again, for those who spend, 25:52 Allah promises to free them from fear 25:54 and sadness. But unfortunately, we seek 25:59 refuge from fear in ways that make no 26:02 sense, in ways that actually increase 26:08 our fear. Eventually, we turn into 26:09 paranoid people. Up to this point, the 26:13 most widespread plague is the disease 26:16 of paranoia, even more than corona. So 26:20 this paranoid illness is more 26:21 formidable than corona. It makes people 26:24 terrified inside their own homes. They 26:27 strictly protect themselves, avoiding 26:29 contact with those affected by the 26:31 disease. But know that all of this will 26:34 not provide peace of mind. Especially 26:37 every time they listen to confusing 26:38 news that makes them gasp for air, as 26:41 if their hearts are about to leap out 26:43 of their throats. But those who do good 26:48 , help others, and surrender themselves 26:52 to Allah are the ones who receive a 26:55 guarantee of safety from Allah 26:58 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Then Allah 27:03 Subhanahu wa ta'ala reminds us, " 27:05 Wattaqu yauman turja'una fihi ilallah 27:07 tumma tuwaffa kullu nafsin ma kasabat 27:09 wahum la yuzlamun." Be careful and 27:13 beware of a day, when you will all be 27:16 returned to the presence of Allah 27:19 Subhanahu wa ta'ala. You will be 27:24 returned to the presence of Allah, and 27:26 every person will receive their reward 27:28 for the deeds they have done. Reward 27:33 for the deeds done, in full, without 27:35 being reduced in the slightest. But we 27:38 must be careful in our giving; as Allah 27:41 reminded us, do not bring up past 27:43 favors, do not hurt people's feelings, 27:46 and do not give out of vanity, 27:48 expecting praise from others. The 27:52 moment we give out of vanity (riya '), 27:54 all our deeds will crumble and fall 27:56 away. Just as Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala 28:00 reminds us in Surah Al-Baqarah. [Ya 28:03 ayyuhalladzina amanu...][...la tubthilu 28:13 shadaqatikum...] O you who believe, 28:28 remember, do not nullify your charity 28:30 with reminders of your generosity or 28:33 with words and attitudes that hurt the 28:35 feelings of those receiving your gifts. 28:39 It is like the person who spends their 28:42 wealth out of vanity, wanting to gain 28:44 mention and praise. The parable of 28:50 someone like this, who spends out of 28:52 vanity and not out of hope for the 28:55 pleasure of Allah and the Last Day, is 28:57 like a pile of soil on a slippery rock; 29:00 then heavy rain comes with its wind, 29:02 cleaning the soil off the surface of 29:05 that rock. Likewise, all our charity 29:08 and spending will vanish, just like the 29:11 soil on the surface of the rock that is 29:14 wiped away and eliminated by the rain. 29:18 They will gain nothing from what they 29:20 have earned. And Allah Subhanahu wa 29:24 ta'ala will not guide the disbelievers. 29:28 But on the contrary, [wa 29:28 matsalulladzina yunfiquna amwalahum...] 29:47 The parable of those who spend their 29:50 wealth, in the way of Allah, hoping for 29:55 the pleasure of Allah. So they spend 29:58 not out of vanity, not for fame, but 30:00 rather with good etiquette. They spend 30:04 solely hoping for the pleasure of Allah 30:06 . [Wa tatsbitan min anfusihim.] And 30:10 hoping that this charity will 30:11 strengthen their hearts. The parable of 30:15 this person is like someone farming on 30:18 high ground, high plains, or mountains. 30:22 If it does not rain, it will still 30:25 receive dew at night, which waters the 30:29 trees. [Fa-in lam yushibha wabilun 30:34 fawabilun.] Thus does Allah Subhanahu 30:38 wa ta'ala explain His verses so that 30:40 they may become food for your 30:42 reflection. My brothers and sisters who 30:47 are blessed by Allah Subhanahu wa 30:48 ta'ala. We do not know what will happen 30:53 tomorrow. We do not know what will 30:57 happen tomorrow. Will we still be given 31:01 the chance to live? Will the call from 31:05 Allah come to us? We do not know if 31:09 tomorrow we will be healthy, sick, have 31:12 opportunities, or be in hardship. 31:16 Before all that comes, let us be 31:18 together. Do not delay; look at our 31:21 surplus wealth without being wasteful, 31:24 and without ruining the provisions we 31:27 need for our families. Buy rice, buy 31:32 basic necessities like cooking oil and 31:35 soy sauce. Give to our brothers and 31:38 sisters who have lost their jobs. 31:40 Especially for those who work for us. 31:45 If they are laid off, look after them. 31:47 Do not give only when we need them. And 31:50 when we don't need them, we ignore and 31:52 cast them aside. What is the difference 31:54 between that and those who are 31:55 ungrateful and disbelievers? This is 31:59 something we must truly pay attention 32:01 to. We must truly look after the people 32:05 in our homes and those around us. 32:10 People whom we sometimes rarely see. We 32:13 always look far away, giving charity to 32:15 gain recognition and praise. Right now, 32:18 cast all of that aside. Replace it with 32:20 giving charity solely. Hoping for the 32:22 pleasure of Allah. Every time you give, 32:24 say, "All praise is to Allah who has 32:26 facilitated me to do this, by doing 32:28 good to Your servants, O Allah, with 32:30 the bounty You have bestowed upon me." 32:33 O Allah, accept my deeds. Give me the 32:37 reward that You have promised to Your 32:39 believing servants. Keep me and my 32:43 family away from all fear and sadness, 32:45 and grant me well-being in this life 32:48 and in the hereafter. Every time you 32:52 give, be grateful to Allah. All praise 32:55 be to Allah who has guided us to this, 32:58 and guided us to show favor to His 33:01 servants with the grace He has bestowed 33:04 upon us. All praise is to Allah who has 33:08 given us guidance. Facilitating us with 33:11 the grace that Allah has given to do 33:13 good with the blessings Allah has 33:15 provided to His fellow servants. O 33:18 Allah, accept our deeds, bring us into 33:20 Your mercy, keep us away from Your 33:22 punishment, give us peace, and free us 33:25 from fear of anyone other than You. 33:28 Make us among those who always hope in 33:31 and fear only You. Doing deeds solely 33:34 for You, O Allah. Brothers and sisters, 33:37 may you be blessed by Allah Subhanahu 33:39 wa ta'ala. In verse 265 earlier, Allah 33:45 Subhanahu wa ta'ala reminded us. And 34:05 the example of those who spend their 34:07 wealth seeking the pleasure of Allah to 34:09 strengthen their faith and conviction 34:15 within themselves is like a garden on a 34:18 high plateau, watered by heavy rain. If 34:23 it does not receive heavy rain, it 34:26 receives the morning dew drops. The 34:35 produce obtained from plants on that 34:38 high ground will yield multiple-fold 34:41 results. If it does not get heavy 34:45 rainfall, it gets the morning dew that 34:47 moistens it. And Allah is All-Seeing of 34:50 what you do. Indeed, Allah Subhanahu wa 34:53 ta'ala is All-Seeing of whatever you do 34:56 . And after that comes a warning to 34:58 close our reflection this morning. 35:02 Allah warns us with a poignant parable: 35:05 "Would any of you wish to have a garden 35:08 of palm trees and vines, with rivers 35:11 flowing beneath it, containing all 35:13 kinds of fruits, while he is struck by 35:16 old age and has weak offspring..."( 35:19 Al-Baqarah: 266) Allah gives a parable 35:34 for the stingy: those who do not 35:36 prepare any provisions for the 35:38 hereafter, and do not work to do good 35:40 for others. Allah depicts a truly 35:44 terrifying situation. Would you like to 35:46 be in the condition of someone who owns 35:50 a garden of date palms and grapevines, 35:55 which is irrigated by rivers flowing 35:58 throughout it. Inside, there are all 36:03 kinds of fruits. Not just dates and 36:05 grapes, there are various kinds of 36:08 fruits. "Wa asabahul kibar." Suddenly 36:14 old age arrives, the years of advanced 36:17 age set in. "Walahu dhurriyatun du'afa. 36:20 " He still has children who are small 36:22 and weak. Suddenly, that beautiful 36:25 garden, irrigated by rivers and 36:27 producing various fruits, is gone. When 36:30 old age comes and he is no longer able 36:32 to work, his spirit is weak, his 36:34 children are still small, a fire comes 36:36 and burns down all his gardens. Thus 36:43 does Allah explain His verses to you so 36:45 that you may reflect. The stingy person 36:47 , the one who is reluctant to help 36:49 others, is like this person who has all 36:52 sorts of wealth. Suddenly old age 36:56 arrives, his children are still small 36:58 and in need, Allah does not help him, 37:00 but instead destroys his wealth. One 37:03 can imagine the state he is in. When 37:06 young, one can start over, but in old 37:08 age, there is only a sense of despair. 37:11 But those who love to give, even if 37:13 they have nothing, Allah has the power 37:15 to provide wealth from His side. 37:19 Therefore, the poor are not those who 37:20 are poor in wealth, but those who are 37:22 poor in faith and conviction in Allah 37:23 subhanahu wa taala. Thus, brothers who 37:27 are blessed by Allah subhanahu wa taala 37:29 . Our reflection this morning is 37:34 concluded with what was conveyed by the 37:36 Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi 37:39 Talib alaihis salam. "Attawhidu 37:42 nisfuddin, wastanzilu rizqa 37:43 bish-shadaqah." Tawhid—to believe in 37:46 Allah, to have faith in Him, and to 37:48 surrender to Him—is half of the 37:50 religion. It is just that this cannot 37:52 be seen with our eyes. Then, " 37:54 wastanzilu rizqa bish-shadaqah." 37:57 Attract the descent of provision with 37:58 charity (sadaqah). A person whose faith 38:02 is firm and strong finds no burden in 38:03 giving charity. He does not just crave 38:06 and dream of worldly rewards, but more 38:07 importantly, he seeks the pleasure of 38:09 Allah subhanahu wa taala. Not to 38:12 mention the abundant rewards Allah has 38:13 promised. So, tawhid is half of our 38:16 religion. It is the primary foundation. 38:19 And attract the descent of provision by 38:22 giving charity. If our water pump is 38:26 dry and we are reluctant to prime it, 38:31 in the end, we will not get any water. 38:33 With one bucket used to prime our pump, 38:35 or one dipper for our usual water 38:38 system, we get an abundant flow of 38:40 water. Therefore, Allah will only give 38:43 to those who love to give. But the 38:46 stingy one only gets what he earns from 38:49 his own efforts. The rest is only 38:51 complaints, worries, and despair. 38:54 Subhanakallahumma wabihamdik, ashadu 38:56 alla ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa 38:58 atubu ilaik. I apologize to you all. 39:00 Wasalamualaikum warahmatullahi 39:02 wabarakatuh.
