- Verses 52-53 This is something we often
- encounter. Among some naive Muslims,
- those who do not think deeply or lack
- sound judgment, they fall prey to traps
- set by the enemies of Islam. Whether
- they are Jews or Christians who dislike
- the truth of Islam and cannot accept
- our Prophet Muhammad, may peace and
- blessings be upon him and his family,
- as their prophet and messenger. In the
- Ministry of Religious Affairs '
- translation, it is stated, "Wa arsalna
- min qablika mir-rasulin wa la nabiyyin
- illa idza tamanna alqa ash-shaytanu fi
- umniyyatihi.""Fa yansakhullahu ma yulqi
- ash-shaytanu thumma yuhkimullahu
- ayatihi wallahu' alimun hakim." Let us
- follow the Ministry of Religious
- Affairs 'translation: "And We did not
- send before you any messenger or
- prophet...""...except that when he
- desired, [Satan threw into his desire].
- " Some even interpret it as, "Except
- when he had desires, wishes, and
- longings." At the moment he had wishes,
- desires, and longings, Satan would
- immediately insert into our Prophet
- Muhammad's, may peace and blessings be
- upon him, inner self, whispers and
- temptations. But Allah Subhanahu wa
- ta'ala will abolish what is inspired by
- Satan, what is inserted by Satan. "
- Yuhkimullahu ayatihi." Then Allah
- establishes His verses. "Wallahu'
- alimun hakim." Indeed, Allah is
- All-Knowing, All-Wise. Now, this verse
- is linked to the verse in Surah An-Najm
- when, they claim, the Prophet recited
- the word of Allah: "Afar'aytumul-lata
- wal- 'uzza. Wa manata thalithatal...""
- ...ukhra." When reaching this verse,
- Satan supposedly inserted into our
- Prophet Muhammad's, may peace and
- blessings be upon him, inner self what
- they inspired. So when the Prophet said
- , "Have you considered Al-Lat and Al-'
- Uzza?" As well as the third deity named
- Manat. They claim the Prophet
- immediately uttered words that were not
- from what? From the truth. They say the
- Prophet spontaneously let out from his
- mouth, "Tilka...""...al-gharaniq.""They
- are high-exalted deities.""Indeed,
- their intercession is highly hoped for.
- " This is based on narrations
- circulated and spread by the enemies of
- Islam. Whether by Jews infiltrating,
- those claiming to be Muslims, or naive
- Muslims who do not think or reflect at
- all that this is a complete falsehood
- and vanity. If we pay close attention
- together to what is narrated in this
- matter, as well as the distorted
- translations, it shows how the enemies
- of Islam strive to confuse the
- understanding of Muslims so that it is
- no longer in line with the truth and
- what Allah desires. They are unable to
- change the verses of the Quran. But in
- understanding it, Satan strives to
- enter the hearts of the hypocrites to
- spread false and deviant understandings
- . If we observe, Mas, jinn used to be
- able to eavesdrop in the heavens. But
- as soon as the Prophet was sent, all
- the gates of heaven were tightly
- guarded. If the jinn try to approach,
- they will be attacked by piercing
- meteors. Allah also mobilized His
- angels to protect His Prophet. Now, if
- a narration mentions that when
- Sayyidina Umar walked on a path, Satan
- would steer clear and leave the path
- taken by Sayyidina Umar. Because of
- what? Because of Satan's fear of
- Sayyidina Umar. What is surprising is
- how Satan could be bold enough to
- approach our Prophet Muhammad, may
- peace and blessings be upon him.
- If Allah were to allow Satan to place
- something into the heart of our Prophet
- , and even move his tongue to utter
- words that are untrue, then the Prophet
- would not be infallible. The Prophet
- would not be a person who is protected
- and preserved. That would mean the
- Quran recited to us today is not
- entirely from Allah. But then, where
- could a portion of it be from? From
- Satan. This is all a lie. Moreover, the
- chain of narration for that report is
- weak and fabricated. Therefore, the
- story of the Gharaniq, which describes
- the Prophet as having reflexively
- uttered—due to Satan's influence—
- that they are the exalted deities, and
- that their intercession is to be hoped
- for, is a false report that is not true
- .
